Supernova Tattoo Parlour

Nova has been my go to artist for almost a decade. When her family opened Supernova Tattoo Parlour I was so excited to support their business and of course get some beautiful pieces. Since their opening I have also brought my kids in for their birthdays to get piercings and their first tattoo. Eric had an opening and was able to take my daughters drawing and create something memorable for me. Rita was a godsend providing permanent makeup to reverse the thin eyebrows that began in the early 2000s and give me a boost of confidence. When you come here, you are treated like family. They truly listen to your ideas and bring magic to your skin with the best products. This will always be a place Im willing to drive hours to get to and spend hours on the table transforming ideas into art. 💗

People always me, “Ryan, wow! Who did your tattoo?” I smile and respond, “Eric at Supernova in Round Rock. Now look at Amy’s tattoo. (Amy pulls up her sleeve) Same place by a cool guy named Dean.” WOW, they respond. Look at how clean those lines are. Yep! He’s good like that. And the shading on yours, Ryan. I’ve seen a lot of good tattoos, but yours is one of the best. Yep! That’s a conversation I have weekly since I’ve had Eric and Dean do our ink. Over three months later, I’ve been so impressed by the work done to me, my wife, and a large tattoo on my son, that I’m ashamed it took me this long to write a review. On top of that, tattoo artists, usually by nature, can be douchy. Not here. Eric sets the standard for friendliness and bedside manner. We had such great conversations through my three sessions. My half sleeve was completely free handed by him. Not many people at all could do something like that, let alone something as detailed as my Octopus. He feels like family and I look forward to having him decorate my skin again soon. Also, the way Eric prepped my healing and bandages was perfect. I didn’t have much scabbing at all. My skin has been flawless since.

I walked into this shop for the first time last March, because I had bad experience at 2 previous shops just trying to find a artist willing to do what I wanted.. not naming those shops but they were rude and un welcoming.. I walked into SuperNova not feeling very positive about getting what I wanted.. but to my surprise they were very welcoming and treat you like they’ve known you forever. Had such a good experience I clearly went back a few more times and my son has already had a few done.. in fact I plan on scheduling an appointment very soon. Eric is who did mine and my sons art but clearly they only have the best of the best artist there.. so if you’re looking for a place to feel welcome and get great art , this is the place to go ..

I’ve loved this place for years. Especially Lexi and Eric. My husband and I trusted them with a special tattoo to memorialize our son and they were kind and listened to every details. We got emotional while getting them and both were understanding and compassionate. I got a jeweled anklet by Lexi with lots of small lines that I loved. My husband got a Phoenix by Eric. They took the time to look at multiple designs to put together 2 amazing pieces . This was my husbands first tattoo and he felt so comfortable in the shop and with the crew. We both got our sons foot prints and you can’t even tell they were done by different people. They are the kindest artist u have ever been to and have an amazingly talented family.

I had a great experience at Supernova with Dean as my artist. I came in with an existing fine line tattoo outline with the intention of adding some color and darkening some of the lines. Dean took my vision to a new level and reworked this tattoo into something I really really love. Thanks so much!!!

SPECTACULAR! I can’t find the words to define the artistry, patience, kindness and professionalism of this family owned business. Eric is talented beyond imagination, as is his daughter Nova. I was watching her while getting my tattoo, and when she finished, it looked like a photograph. WOW! I’m rarely without words, but these guys knocked me off my feet. I recommend these folks beyond a shadow of a doubt! I couldn’t be more pleased with my very detailed tattoo! Thank you Eric!!

I needed microneedling done on an arm that my artist just could not get to take ink Im hoping that this takes and he said it will Great Studio awesome people definitely would have to go back and see what they can do on a original one piece but very few artists will touch someone elses piece I had my artists permission and they were willing to fix an eye that was messed up thank you so much..Looking good 👍 I did not post pics for theres 2 artist involved 😉

I came in for a cover up with Dean. When he said he was doing this since June, i was like umm, then he said of ‘99. I let out a laugh and a sigh of relief. He totally covered up what i had and amplified the other tattoo in the same area. I am very happy with his work and he is a super cool dude too!

Not only did Eric do an excellent job on my tatt, Eric was very clean by changing his gloves every time he had to touch paint bottles ect. Eric will be my go to guy for here on out. Took my baby girl to get her nose pierced. She is so sensitive and Rita did a great job! She explained everything in detail and doubled checked that the jewelry was what we needed because of how sensitive her skin is. Rita made it super enjoyable. My tween daughter had a great experience with her lobes piercing. Nova and Rita are so friendly and welcoming and knowledgeable. They were able to work around a previous piercing and my daughter is so happy with the results. Highly recommend!!!

I have gotten both piercings and tattoos done at the shop and I have had nothing but wonderful experiences. With my tattoos, I have had both artist flash and my own ideas done with great results each time. I have worked with Nova, Ash, and Michelle for different pieces. Each has their own style but equally talented and professional. They make sure you are comfortable before being, check in with you during the process, and make sure to ask before either repositioning you or touching you. The other artist make sure to ask before look at the work being down which is appreciated. The atmosphere is relaxing and welcoming with the artist being patient with understanding your ideas. They take cleanliness very serious. Tattoo needles are single use, gloves are changed often, and they sanatize after each client. So glad I found Supernova Tattoo.

Got my first tatto there by Eric and the experience and the artwork was better than anticipated. Got a second tatto from Brian, and it he did not disappoint. Highly recommend if you are looking for a first time experience or just want to add to your canvas.

I’d previously been to over 10 tattoo artists both in the UK and in the US to cover up a forearm tattoo with thick writing of names and each of them advised laser removal as the tattoo would be too difficult to coverup.Eric (who is so friendly and down to earth) got me booked in within 48 hours, sat me in the chair, asked what I wanted the tattoo covered with and did it on the spot. (I thought I was going in for a consultation).The coverup is absolutely amazing. You wouldn’t even know that it was a coverup by looking at it, or even staring for a long time! Eric even did a second session with me free of charge to go over everything again to make sure there was no sign of the previous tattoo and to make it even more detailed with shading and white highlights.Everyone there is so so welcoming and it’s such a great atmosphere in the shop.The art and talent is unmatched and I will 100% be traveling here for all future tattoos.If you want a fantastic tattoo experience, this is the place to go.

I got Angel fangs at a different location and had a small issue with one of the beads popping off due to the swelling on my lip. Came to this store for my small emergency and Manny took care of it for me and gave me some extra tips on maintenance for swelling. Would recommend!

If you get your piercing here, just know that they won’t downsize but will absolutely give you wrong information that they do. I got a helix piercing here from someone I’m pretty sure is a rookie because she never mentioned downsizing and told me I’ll be fully healed in a few weeks. Well, helix piercings never heal completely in a few weeks and downsizing is a must, especially if you were glasses.When it was time to downsize, I contacted them and they told me to come over and they could downsize me and fit me in right away. Well I jumped into my car and drove all the way there, and waited 5mins at the reception before anyone spoke to me. The first guy that came told me, yes he could downsize me and they have so many options of jewelry to choose from. He told me to wait a few minutes as he had someone else before me. No problem. Only for another really unfriendly guy to walk up to me and tell me they don’t downsize and don’t have shorter jewelry. I said I asked and was told to come over to downsize. He said the guy who told me that was a helper and that the guy was waiting on him to come speak to me. He was so unfriendly and unhelpful, I am definitely never coming back here again. I can’t help but wonder if it’s because I don’t fit their usual demographic.If you ever get a piercing done here, just know what you are signing up for. Zero customer service and staff who don’t know what they are doing.

This was my first tattoo and Robbie made me feel very comfortable! He was patient when I asked him to change the drawing a few times and never made me feel bad for being picky. Ash (zigzag tattoo) is *amazing.* I have three tattoos by her now I keep coming back because I’m always blown away by the quality of the work and how flexible she is in her scheduling, designs, even the experience in the shop. My latest of her work was a huge coverup of dark lettering and I truthfully didn’t expect it to even be half as amazing as it turned out; I was and still am blown away. She has the skill and flexibility you search for in an artist, and everyone who compliments this tattoo can see it too :)

Staff here is very friendly! I came here for looking for a new nose ring as well as assistance with putting it on. The staff treated me so kindly and provided me with great recommendations as well as care for my new ring. I really appreciated the friendliness of everyone and seeing how they sterilize their equipment between customers.

Third update … they repierced my nose, I had to pay, but they were really kind. I think I just happen to catch them on an off day tbh bc they all were really kind when I went in there this time.SECOND UPDATE … they not only refused to refund me my money when she had to pierce it 3 times for a single piercing, but also said they would charge me again if I came back in to get it redone, since my nose had swollen so much from her 3 piercings in the same spot/hole, that my nose ring came out INSIDE MY NOSE. Really kind of heartbreaking bc I really liked this studio before this.Update … after my piercing got infected, I removed it. Waited two weeks for it to heal and went back in. They had raised their prices, no biggie, I still wanted them to repierce my nose. She pierced my nose THREE times for a single piercing, after failing to get the jewelry into my nose for about 15 min, manipulating my nose with the jewelry half way in the entire time, she finally went back and pierced it with a bigger gauge than my jewelry. Alas, it did go through. Not surprisingly, my nose was traumatized to say the least. By the next morning it was so swollen that my jewelry came out inside my nose. I reached out to them, politely and professionally, and they refused to refund my money. So you can take your pic, maybe this was a fluke and she was having an off day but I have very polar experiences with this shop.Original review … After contacting numerous piercing and tattoo studios, they were the only studio willing to order materials to pierce my nose with something smaller than 16 gauge and allow me to use my own jewelry since I am allergic to anything that’s not solid gold. Y’all, when I say that I will never go anywhere else for piercings I mean it, this is THE FIRST piercing I’ve ever had to heal correctly, no infection, no rejection, no allergic reaction, just heal correctly. Don’t hesitate, go here y’all! They are simply amazing and incredibly clean! I’ll be taking my daughters here to get their ears pierced when they’re ready.

Don’t come here for daith piercing! They start off with a curved barbell which is NOT recommended for the initial piercing. I had to take my first one out, let it heal, and then get it done a second time. The only reason I came back was they had a different piercer from my first experience. I was hoping it would be different since I’ve gotten tattooed here and liked the atmosphere of the place but it was the same experience. I have since gone to a much better shop in Dallas and they corrected my daith, all the while telling me all the ways the initial piercing here at Supernova went so poorly. It wasn’t in bad taste, more so just stating facts (don’t use a curved barbell, the piercing shouldn’t have outside threading, it shouldn’t have taken 10 minutes or be as painful as it was).Anyway, go somewhere else.

This review actually pertains to The Beauty Bar, an extension of the tattoo shop which offers brows, permanent makeup and Scalp Micro pigmentation, which is the service I received.I have been experiencing hair loss for the better part of two decades, and as with most things, the older I get, the more noticeable it was. I’m sure I don’t have to tell you, as a woman it was devastating. I am a classic Leo, performer, life of the party, extroverted and generally pretty happy but nothing brings down the mood of getting dolled up more than having to figure out how to cover up a thinning patch of hair. I became well versed in sprays, powders, headbands and hats, but at the end of the day it was always the first thing I would see when I looked in the mirror, and the products were only making things worse. That is until I went to Rita for Scalp Micropigmentation.The process was lengthy, it is not something that you necessarily immediately see the results of (though, in my experience, I truly did notice a difference after the first appointment); but from the beginning, I knew that I was in the best hands possible, as Rita’s attention to detail and perfectionism is unparalleled. She used a variety of dot sizes and shades to make it look as much like hair follicles as possible which worked as even when I look closely, it truly does look natural. Despite the time commitment, I genuinely looked forward to our sessions, both because I know that nothing great comes without putting in the time, and spending time with Rita was relaxing and always put me in a great mood!By the time we were finished, I nearly cried due to how much less time I had to spend dealing with my thinning crown, and how little I thought about my hair even fresh out of the shower! The confidence boost has been incredible for my mental health and that is the sort of thing you literally can not put a price on.If you are experiencing hair loss, I hope you will take this as your catalyst to make an appointment with Rita, because it is life changing and you’re worth it! Truly, if I could give Rita all the stars in the sky, I would!PS. I have also been getting tattooed by Eric for many years and he’s “my tattoo guy” as in, I won’t go to anyone else ever again! Eric + Rita = epic freaking duo!

This was my first time here and I had such a wonderful experience. I called to see if they were taking walk ins and the person on the phone was super kind! They didn’t have any availability (at first) but they took my info and tattoo idea down. An hour or so later, Michelle called me to offer me to come in because she had a cancellation. Michelle was so so kind and did such an AMAZING job, my tattoo came out so much better than the picture. I’m incredibly happy!! Also, she is just a whole vibe and I’m really glad I was able to have this meaningful tattoo done by such a dope artist. I can’t wait to go back!!

Went here after having tried good time tattoos down the street. With a bad taste in our mouth, we were pleasantly surprised at just how wonderfully nice these people were. They were extremely accommodating and Michelle did an amazing job on my brothers first tattoo. Will definitely be back for more!

What a great experience! My Wife and I met with Owl, after calling just a couple hours ahead of time, to get matching tattoos. We let Him know what We were wanting and the idea that We had, and He had everything prepared and ready before We even got there. Took my daughter for her birthday she wanted an Ashley piercing as soon as we walked in front desk was very nice and quickly got us seen.Her piercer Nova did a wonderful job she was very perfesional/informative and very very nice! Eric and Lexi are both awesome at their craft, Eric has tattooed both my sleeves, and also did my fathers very first tattoo when he was 50 years old. His craft and art is ridiculously good! Plus when you get tattooed by them they treat like you family. Love this shop and their artists.

Piercer didnt have a mirror so he had to use his phone. And he set his phone down on the tray that had our jewelry, he also touched the needles with his bare hands before putting on gloves. My piercing is doing well so far however he used jewelry with a butterfly back and a very short bar so its very difficult to clean. However he did use a flashlight behind my ear to make sure he wouldnt hit any veins which was nice. My friend had their nostril pierced. They said that it was done slow and very painfully. The jewelry fell out while they cleaned it and wouldnt go back in, so it was a waste of money and time for them. Overall the business had cozy atmosphere but our piercer seemed very unprofessional.
