This place is really really cool. They put so much thought into their design in their place and I can just tell and you will be able to tell when you go in there. The vibe there is very chill. Everyone there is super nice and welcome me. I only paid a $20 fee to hold my appointment it will be different depending on the artist and of course prices as well. Depending on where youre putting your tattoo, how big itll be the design? How long? Same goes for piercings? Either way I will go back again to get another one again. Shout out to Brad for doing my tattoo and check out their Instagram if you want to see what they are made of.

My daughter and I were walk in clients and got the pleasure to work with Dennis. I was extremely happy with the service we received at Enigma from start to finish. Dennis did an amazing job with our matching tattoos. This was my daughters first and she brought in the design she wanted us to have. I am extremely happy with his work and will be recommending him and this shop to people I know.

Enigma has messed up my piercings more than once. Their jewelry is total crap — it corroded in my ear and they also pierced me with BUTTERFLY BACKINGS. I went to my regular gal in my college town and she fixed me up and sold me actual quality jewelry, thank god. They charged me $300 for tapering 5 holes and 1 piercing, plus the crappy 2 pieces of jewelry they sold me. Do not come here, they will def take advantage of you and the average persons lack of knowledge about piercings. Cant believe I spent $300 here. Total waste and I am never coming back.

Dennis was our artists today and he was awesome! He was a very eclectic man, diverse yet real. Im older but he made me comfortable, took his time and did great work. I laughed a lot and tipped him well (I hope). Ill be back!

I got my first tattoo here. A year later it is still as bold and beautiful as ever. A lot of care was put into this tattoo and the attention to detail is obvious. I also got a bellybutton pierced here in 2021 but I’ve since then taken it out.

Called at 7:55pm for some jewelry. Was told they had what I needed and asked the lady who answered the phone to put it aside as I was headed that way, she said that was fine. Arrived at 8:28pm the doors were locked and nobody would answer the phones. What a terrible way to run a business.Edit: as you can see the shop responded to my review. I am a tattoo artist from out of town and already headed back home. Unfortunately I saw similar reviews for the doors being locked before 9pm but them being from 10 months ago was hoping for a better experience. That was not the case this time. I stopped at another local shop for my piercing needs. Thank you.

My boyfriend and I got tattoos done here. Getting the appointment scheduled was really hectic - tried online/calling for weeks and they eventually told us to come in. We then waited almost 2 hours for them to tell us to come back another day. We did not get much input on our designs besides one reference photo we gave them. Brad did our tattoos. My boyfriends turned out great, but mine did not. It is geometric tattoo with lots of lines, and many of the lines are crooked, not complete, faded, or very thick. I wish we would have had more time to talk and discuss our tattoos before. Also they gave us our price the first time we went, and then added about $50 dollars each day of.

My tattoo lines started getting thicker during healing. It has fully healed now and the line work is now uneven and smudged in some places because of the thicker lines. Disappointing since I was happy with how it originally was when we finished and the workers were all very nice.

🚨read before you decide to get your belly button pierced🚨 if you are going to get it done, do it here!!! ive heard some horror stories about navel piercings (at different tattoo/piercing shops) so i was really on the fence about it because of the high risk for infection and or it just not being pierced right. but this place, AWESOME. i got it done about a month ago and could not be more thrilled. i have had ZERO issues, which is quite unheard of for navel piercings. it is healing absolutely beautifully, no crusting, no puss and no rejection! this helped me feel so relieved and so glad i decided to get it pierced, with no regrets! i was serviced by toph, and he was awesome, super helpful to my questions and made the process easy as can be. will definitely be returning if i decide to get a tattoo or another piercing. thank you toph and enigma!!

Dennis is a mad genius! I am just finishing my second sleeve with him and couldnt be happier! He listens and is attentive to what I would like and uses his artistic flair to make it all better!

*BIT OF A LONG REVIEW*a friend and i came here to get piercings. we both got medusas and she got her nose pierced. the bar that i was pierced with was wayyyy too short even after it being changed out. my piercing was also way too high up. had to get it taken out and wasted over 100 dollars. went back to the shop and a different piercer (a black one) told me that bc of the size of our lips he would’ve angled it differently and used a bigger gauge bar to have more room for swelling. my friend’s nose ring also ended up getting infected due to subpar cleaning instructions. we tried to go back to the shop once before, but there was a sign on the door that said “closed for meeting”. hopefully during these meetings they discuss how to be better piercers. when we finally went back to the shop to get our piercings fixed, the young woman at the desk was very rude and made mean glances towards my friend and i. it was so bad my friend asked for the piercer to close the door so she couldn’t see her. i wouldn’t recommend this place, at least for piercings. go to iron age or steel and ink.

I went to Enigma Tattoo about a month ago and got a snake tattoo down my thigh. David R did my tattoo. Since June, it has healed beautifully. I just got back from vacation and everyone on the beach said how much they loved it. Beyond how beautiful David’s art is, my experience at Enigma Tattoo was amazing. The women at the front were super helpful getting my paperwork together and they joked with me until David was ready to start. During my tattoo, David was very attentive and made sure I was “hanging in there” during our session. Also, for how big of a piece I got, I was done fairly quickly. The atmosphere is so fun and caring compared to other shops I’ve been too. Love this place and can’t wait to go back!

I had came in a hour before they closed and dennis the man that works there , got my piercing done quick was very helpful and gave great customer service. they are an amazing tattoo shop I think anyone should come there it’s great .

I was super excited to go and get some work done that someone close to me who isn’t around anymore made. I came in after saving up $300 dollars and being really excited. The guy I went to was kind and he told me he was confident in doing my tattoo. When I left the shop it looked ok from a distance. After following the correct aftercare in the following weeks I noticed that the lines were either fading away for blowing out. The whole thing became very muddy so I emailed to get it fixed. I didn’t want to go back to the original artist because the technique was not good. The owner Jerry called me and told me he would pay another artist to fix it. He said at most I would have to pay $50. I agreed and he got me in contact with another artist. The new artist was kind but he told me I would need to pay $300 and that only the shop fee was covered. After being lied to and blown off I reached out again to the owner asking for my money back so I could leave them all alone and just go somewhere else to get it fixed. They never got back to me and left me with this mess of a tattoo. Very unprofessional and i definitely will not recommend this place to anyone.

I got my first tattoo today and it was an amazing experience!! The receptionist was so sweet and hilarious, and kept cracking jokes which was very comforting. David did an amazing job at copying a tattoo my sister and mom have from another artist, and did a very good job at reassuring me and making sure I was comfortable. He was so nice and was totally cool about changing a little part I wanted shaded more after he finished. 10/10 love the atmosphere!! Also explained after care and how to reach out with any questions so well.

I had a tattoo done by Dennis. Dennis was extremely professional and took time to ensure the space was clean. Dennis was great at making me feel comfortable throughout the process of prep, during the tattoo and after. He was very accommodating and answered any questions I had regarding my tattoo. Everyone was so friendly, me and my tattoo artists were talking the entire time while I was getting tattooed and I barely even felt a thing while he was doing it because of that, I got my first tattoo there and Im definitely going to be coming back to get my second.

I got my septum pierced today by dennis. He was really nice, professional & explained everything to me in a way I could understand. It was quick & basically painless. If I had to rate the pain I’d say it’s a 2/10. The overall experience was a 10/10. I definitely recommend coming here.

Had an absolutely lovely experience with Billy. Told him the concept and he designed a beautiful tattoo that Im super excited to finish up after another session. The shop was clean and professional, Ill definitely come back in the future.

My first time going here (recommended by a friend) to go. I went to get a Medusa piercing that I’ve been wanting for awhile. Walked in and the receptionist was very nice and she kept cracking jokes and making it a fun environment. I got my piercing done by Dennis and he was a sweetheart. He had made sure I was comfortable before, during, and after the whole process as well as having clear aftercare instructions. 10/10 would definitely recommend and will be going back soon. Went with a friend and my teen daughter for various nose and ear piercings. Dennis made us feel welcome from the start. He’s super funny but extremely serious about placements, understanding of procedure and aftercare. He took time with us and answered all questions. He explained how and why he was doing each step. He’s incredible!

Atmosphere clean and up to date. Met with “Dennis” who was Awesome 🤩 …He helped me pick the perfect position for my Nostril piercing and It’s perfect. I told him that HE was the Professional and I trusted his judgment! So Glad I did, I love it. Dennis was quick and his technique provided a beautiful and painless experience. He also answered my questions and explained the aftercare instructions clearly. I did shed a lil tear(which is normal) and left with Smile 😊Definitely Recommend!!!!

Ive been to Enigma twice for piercings! The first time I met Katie, who went out of her way to make me comfortable during my piercing experience, she shared about her dog (Pippa) and asked about my pets while doing the piercing to distract me and comfort me. I knew when I was ready to get another piercing I’d go back to her, and I did! The second time she was just as lovely as the first, she even remembered doing my previous piercing!! She is so incredibly sweet, talented, and her Instagram is constantly promoting her and the shops work! Will absolutely go back if I decide I’d like another piercing!

Tried to walk in at 8:20 on a Thursday to buy a piece of jewelry. Door was locked while the employee is shrugging his shoulders hitting his vape. Why advertise you are open until 9pm if you close early. So annoying!

Went in pretty close to closing time (to get snake bites) and the staff had absolutely NO problem with that! The chick at the desk was super cool and friendly (cant for the life of me remember her name though...SORRY!!) and the piercer/tattoo artist was ALSO super cool and friendly. Dennis has a great sense of humor and made me feel really at ease. He went through and described each and every step and answered all of my questions very thoroughly.This was my first piercing and I have to say that it was an awesome experience because of the AMAZING staff here!!I will DEFINITELY be coming back here for my next piercing and also my first tattoo!Thank you for the experience Enigma! My girlfriend had her nose pierced about three days ago, but the initial jewelry used was constantly falling out of her nose or irritating the inside of her nostril on the septum side.We went in today to see if there was anything they could do to help her and Dennis was amazing.He was quick, efficient, and kind-- explaining what about the initial jewelry was irritating her nostril, as well as what he was going to change in order to fix it.He was informed, professional, and extremely helpful. Our experience with him was a 10/10!

Good tattoos here but, I wouldn’t recommend Brian. He offered a touch up, because my skin had enough after 8 hours in. When I contacted him he said, “let me check my schedule”, and never got back to me. This happen a few times back, and forth. I’m just going to have another artist touch it up. He’s a nice guy. Also the tattoo wasn’t bad. I just don’t appreciate not getting back to me. I understand you are busy.Just communicate instead.

David is the best! He and the entire staff are just really cool and laid back. A 5/5 tattoo experience all the way around!

Went in with a friend to get my nose pierced, her septum pierced, and to get matching tattoos and we were super nervous. Receptionist was amazing! She was cracking jokes and just making us feel very at home. We were sent to Dennis for our piercings and he was the best! He answered all our questions, talked us through everything he was doing, and made everything a breeze. For our tattoos we were sent to Scott. He was fast and made it as painless as possible and gave us really great tips on how to help our tats heal faster. The shop was pristine and the atmosphere was great. Would definitely recommend to any and all my friends! Cant wait to get more from them!

Just because a tattoo/piercing shop charge a lot for a piercing doesn’t mean they necessarily know what they’re doing. I come to this shop for Dennis but when I got there, he was not there, only another piercer.He was pretty cool and held a good conversation.I was getting a vertical labaret lip piercing and I feared the jewelry was too small( after he pierced me). He told me it was the only long jewelry he had for that piercing. Two days later I noticed the skin on my lip was basically trying to cover the ball part of the jewelry. My lip was swollen so bad. Instead of going back I ended up going to Trx Tattoo to see if they had a longer jewelry. They did, however, when the piercer looked at my piercing he told me it was NOT pierced right and I was given a cheap jewelry, which explains why my lip was so swollen. My skin cannot tolerate cheap jewelry. He also told me, my skin was pierced so deep which is another reason why I was swollen. I now have to get my lip re pierced again. Such a shame I spent all that money AND tipped the guy, just to have to get my piercing taken out two days later.

*LONG HONEST REVIEW*Me and my friends have been coming to this place for over a year now, and I have to say we won’t be returning. My most recent experience was me and a friend going in to receive surface tragus piercings. The man at the counter was a bit rude due to my friend offering to pay for my piercing after saying I couldn’t afford it at the moment, causing him to rip the original sheet and print out another single sheet of paper. I asked if the surface tragus had any cute starting jewelry or balls, which he replied no, just the standard silver. However, when sitting with the piercer I was asked if I had picked any special balls for the jewelry, which I replace “I was just told wasn’t an option”. The piercer was okay, but a curved barbell was used instead of a staple barbell, which is widely known to cause rejection due to the curve. 2 days later me and my friend return to get my jewelry taken out, because I refuse to have something in my face that was doomed to reject when a better option could have been used. I was told I was completely wrong, given an crazy demonstration about how a curved bar is the only option which only made their defense seem even more incorrect. The removal of my piercing took less than 30 seconds, including the wait time. As I walked out, the first thing the lady behind the counter yells is “Service fee”…as if I was about to pay for a removal of a $70 piercing that instead of saying you were unable to do, was put into my face incorrectly only to be removed 48 hours later. The guy was nice and didn’t charge me, and of course no refund because “the procedure was already done.” I wouldn’t recommend this place, but I recommend doing your research, and standing your ground with whoever is shoving a needle into any part of your body.

This studio is immaculately clean and the staff are extremely friendly and professional. I’ve had 3 tattoos done by Dave and they are great. He has incredible artistic ability and knows just how to make a client comfortable! Dave is very easy to work with and is great at using reference photos and ideas to create something unique for you. He consistently creates great work. Dave is wonderful at everything from clean line work tattoos to producing rich depth with his shading. There’s no one I’d rather put permanent art work on my body. Enigma has also done a very good job adhering to COVID-19 guidelines.

I got my back dermals done here a couple months ago with their dermal piercer. He was awesome! Gave me awesome advice and his number. Unfortunately I went in there yesterday asking about a time tattoo behind me ear. The artist i was brought to looked at me straight in the face and said he wouldn’t and COULDN’T do it. Understanding I thanks him for his time. Still no issue with the place, until I walked into Iron Age down the street and they had it done in 4 mins. Guess it could be done🤷‍♀️

Ive been here before to get my arm tattoo a couple of years ago (which was also a phenomenal experience), but I went today to get a nostril piercing from Dennis. He was very nice and professional, and the piercing took 5 minutes tops! Definitely not going anywhere else from now on and always reccommending :)

Dennis was my piercer, and besides his relaxed and kind demeanor, he really impressed me with making sure my nose piercing was in the absolute perfect spot for my face. He was great at explaining the steps, how to care for it, and overall made me feel very comfortable. Place was super clean and the receptionist very welcoming. Great location, easy parking. Will recommend!

This was my second tattoo done by Dave, it’s also my first big piece. I really enjoy the atmosphere at Enigma, specifically how the artists joke around with each other. Because the tattoo is on my leg, I worried that I would end up kicking Dave. Being the cool guy that he is, he reassured me that a little twitching was normal. I will definitely come back for any future tattoos. 😊

Great vibe! At first i was a little nervous about getting a tattoo. I have heard the horror stories about other shops from friends. Once i walked in the staff was very friendly and consulted me on placement and how the tattoo would heal. This helped my nerves tremendously! The artists are all very nice and try their best to make sure you are comfortable! I would recommend anyone looking to get tattoos to go to enigma! They are very professional and sanitary!

I got some old jewelry changed and got a new piercing here the other day and was just blown away by this place! The jewelry I was having changed was all sorts of messed up: not only was it the wrong gauge, it had a bent barbell when it really should have been straight... yikes. (obviously, should have come here to get it pierced in the first place!) Kate worked with me in fixing these issue with minimal discomfort and minimal next day swelling! Her professionalism and light hearted humor is also unmatched. I will def. be coming back here for any other piercings. Also, the front desk attendant was amazing. They both made an unpleasant situation and piercing very comfortable. Thanks you so much!!!!

At 12pm on a Saturday called before to set appointment for tattoos, was told only able to take appointments in person. Came in 5 minutes later to set appointment, was told not accepting appointments only walk-ins, had to be put on a list without knowing how long it would be and could not be more than 15minutes away when they called. There was a guy there with colorful hair he was extremely rude and unprofessional when he was not even the one helping us. He kept making rude side remarks pertaining to our conversation with the nice lady who was helping us, then she would have to clean up his remarks or apologize for him. If you prefer not to be subjected to unwarranted rudeness just go down the street to Iron Age. Enigma called us back 5 hours later we had gotten our tattoos at Iron Age and eaten dinner by then.

Very friendly and chill atmosphere. You can tell they really care about the quality of artwork they put out unlike some other places that will just tattoo whatever the client says. They are very honest and clear about what will be the best choice for you in their professional opinion. I am happy I went with their suggestions! AJ was my artist and he did a great job making me feel comfortable and at home for my first tattoo. Me and my boyfriend have gone back for more work from him and are always impressed by his quality of work and professionalism.

This is just my experience and opinion. It very well couldve been an off day at the shop, but my tattoos came out mediocre at best. I came in on a weekend night with no appointment, very grateful that they could squeeze me in. I ended up waiting hours- fair because I showed up w/out an appointment, but when I actually sat down to get my tattoos (2 small tattoos), the tattoo artist didnt do a great job. In particular, I got a small tattoo on my thigh and it came out very smugged and the lines were too thick, unlike what I wanted and asked for. He didnt make any effort to build a rapport or make me feel comfortable. Overall, I just wasnt pleased. Im sure the rest of the artists are much better. It was also insanely overpriced for two small tattoos... almost $200!

Went today and got my nostril pierced today by dennis, super cool dude and did my piercing super quick and painless. everything was super clean and organized. the whole experience was awesome, great artists, amazing receptionist, and a very welcoming and peaceful atmosphere. i will definitely be going back to see dennis for all of my piercings and tattoos!!!

Walked in on a Sunday afternoon to get my nostril pierced. First piercing ever. Got helped by Toph, the owner, and he took good care of me. I was a bit nervous and got pretty light headed but he helped me get through it, had jolly ranchers on hand, which helped, and clearly explained how to care for the piercing while answering all my questions.

Lied to me about how long it would take my nose piercing to heal. Thankfully iron age corrected them. Very upset they told me wrong information that could have gotten my ring infected.

David gave me the pomegranate tattoo of my dreams 😍 and it barely hurt, which is a plus since the spot it went had some sensitive spots.. I made an appointment with him and he was so stoked to design the tattoo (which is always a plus), and on the day of my appointment he showed me the final product and printed up 3 sizes for me to look at. His attention to detail with the tiny circles for the pomegranate seeds was *chefs kiss*, and he told me he ate pomegranate snacks to get pumped for the tattoo. As a female bodied person, I tend to get anxious going in to a tattoo shop (you never know what kind of boys club it’ll be) but David kept me distracted and had high energy during my whole appointment!! I would absolutely recommend this shop to anyone. They really know what they’re doing over here and I will def be back 😌

Nice, clean shop. Covid-19 policy was pasted on the door. Katie did my nose piercing very quickly. She explained the care instructions and assured me that they would also provide the care plan on a card before I left. They were recommended to me by someone else, and I recommend them as well.

From my initial consultation With Chris Greer 6 years ago I have been consistently impressed with the service and quality of Enigmas work. They always greet new and returning customers offering to draw and redraw designs til your excited about the design. The shop is one of the cleanest I have ever been too, and the entire staff is open and friendly, often going for food before a session. i have had zero problems with the work I had done over the years and Chris has always retouched older pieces he and other artist have done throughout the years. I consistently recommend them to friends and bring my friends to get work done, all of whom have returned after the initial visit.

Went in to get my ear jewelry changed. Customer service was great from the time we walked in until we left. Katie was a huge help when it came to picking out my jewelry and aftercare products. The service was great, very clean and I would recommend them to anyone looking for body art. Ill be returning.

I called in to see if the did walk in and the black chick with the red afro said I couldnt put my name on the list of other phone.So I drive all the way over there to do that and still got told they didnt know how the wait was because its a tattoo shop 😏So I called 2 times after two hours had passed and the black dude kris said I was next the time call that the person before me did not answer.So why wasnt I called right after that .? SmhCalled an hour later after that to see if I could drive on over and Kris said the available artist had an appointment come in and that he didnt know if the other artists would be available before they close.And he said it so rude and he nor anyone from the shop called me to say we definitely wont be able to get you in today, sorryKris and the whole staff was rude and ignorant.Wasted my time and gas.**I would not recommend**Not a real good ran shop. And slow people work there..No good customer service.

Was able to walk in on a friday night and get a vertical labret piercing done by brian. he was very funny and friendly and did an amazing job making sure i was comfortable and that the piercing was perfect. i definitely recommend this place for anyone wanting a piercing :)

Great experience. Dennis did a piercing for me that I was VERY nervous about but he was so cool, calm and collected and made me feel comfortable and capable of going through with it, although there was absolutely no pressure. Super quick and professional. Highly recommend.

The person who did my tattoo was incredibly rude for no particular reason. I attempted to be personable and communicative with him and he treated me incredibly poorly. The tattoo visually is alright but I wanted it to be smaller (it almost wraps all the way around my angle). I hate that the person who did it was so rude to me specifically.He had no problem working with my friend who got a more complex tattoo on her breast. I will not be going here for tattoos ever again nor will I recommend this business to anyone else for tattoos.

I got tattooed by Dennis who not only gave me a beautiful piece but also went way out of his way to make sure I was comfortable with the design and physically comfortable getting tattooed. I’ve gotten a septum piercing here (don’t remember the artist’s name but they were great) as well as a tattoo with fine line work done by Dennis, who I really enjoyed. The entire staff was very kind. I recommend Enigma to anyone looking for a tattoo or piercing in St. Louis.

Long Post Alert!!This tattoo place was NOT thorough in regards to giving out relevant information in regards to what customers really needed to know in order to get properly serviced at their place of business. We are not too familiar with getting tattoos, and it has been a very long time for me since I had one. Shelby was very good at being annoying about making sure our masks was pulled up above our noses every time she walked by but she was not very thorough at listening and welcoming us in their shop.Me and my 15 year old step daughter came in for a consultation a day before our initial appointment. During the consultation, not 1 time C.J. (the artist) asked us about her age or made sure we was aware the age requirement 16 and up. But, yet and still they gave us a form to have notarized and filled out by her guardian to return for our appointment the next day to only tell us that she had to be 16 in order to be serviced in their shop. This should have all been stated at the consultation. Further more, C.J. asked me what I wanted done and I told him I wanted him to color in a heart tattoo with a name inside the heart that I had done over 10 years ago. He looked at it and told me okay and he can do that. So, I arrived on time, it literally took him 25 minutes to come out. He asked to look at my arm again so he can assess the correct color on my arm. I hate needles, so the whole time I did not look to see what was being done, because for 1 I thought I was in the hands of a professional and 2 I wanted it be done because of the pain. But I was far from down after he said he was done. I looked down and saw that he traced over the name that was on my arm!! The tattoo was so old that if he wouldve colored it in like I told him the 1st time, that name wouldve been completely covered!My issue was, as a tattoo artist, he shouldve probed more information out of me to make sure he was doing what I asked him to do. You would think as a tattoo parlor, they get a lot of 1st timers/rookies in their shop to where they have to probe information out of, or maybe they just dont care, at least thats what I experienced. Oh yeah!!! He did color it in before I left, but initially after he traced over the name in my arm so good, I have to wait for it to heal to see how well the color will cover up the name and if I would need to come back for another treatment of color over that name!! After I paid, I was NOT given or offered any care instructions on how to care for my tattoo and how long I needed to care for it. This was one of the worst experience I had in a long time.

Great friendly staff Dinnis did my eyebrow piercing he seems super experienced haven’t had any problems so far most of the low star reviews are because they walked in and didn’t set up an appointment so they didn’t have time. Highly recommended

Been to see David Richert twice now. He has such an amazing vision for the work you request! His pressure is perfect, and the results are stunning! Im an hour and a half away from the studio now, but Ill never go to another artist. He is also beyond helpful with aftercare, and is extremely happy to answer any questions I have even after Ive left to make sure things are going okay. Id give him 100 stars if I could.

I came in to inquire about changing my piercings and a cover up, extension of some art I already have. The artist/pierced/ and receptionist were awesome! I felt very comfortable and appreciated their honesty on how and what I could use to cover up the art I have currently and offered some nice alternative ideas. I will be back within two weeks for a consultation and my deposit so we can get started on some new additions to my body art. B. I visit this place several times in the past couple of months once for an amazing tiger tattoo then I went back and got a piercing. I referred my bestie to go get her nose pierced and she did 😁 Thehe staff here is friendly and very informative. I was apprehensive after reading a bad review but was assured that the artist in question no longer worked there. I spoke to Dennis and he was very receptive to what i wanted and was able to translate it into a wonderful tattoo within a short period of time.He made me feel relaxed and all feelings of doubt were soon alleviated.I would definitly go back to him. I heard the shop has gone thru a few artists and am glad that Dennis is still there. I highly recommend him!

Got my nostril pierced ($55 with jewelry) by Dennis who was awesome and very quick. He also pierced my friends septum (I think it was about $70). We both got in relatively quick and it all felt hygienic and covid-friendly. I would definitely recommend.

I have 2 Tattoos from Enigma and must say both were very positive experiences.The staff are all very easygoing and easy to talk to. They treat everyone the same whether this is your first Tattoo or you have too many to count. Toph has done both of mine and spent an hour drawing it up for me on my last one and it was even better than I imagined. The shop is very clean and professional. I had checked around most of the shops in the area and found that their art will stand up to any Tattoo parlor in the area but that the prices are much better as well. I would highly recommend that you give them a visit if you want a Tattoo you will not be disappointed.

The staff is very friendly and works with you. I went in to get a tattoo with a blue cancer ribbon and Dennis worked with me til we found out my skin just cant take color well. Though Im disappointed about that (and he warned me that may happen I still wanted to try) Im in love with my tattoo and will be heading back soon to him again for my next! Highly recommended.

I went in for a double piercing on my ear. It was amazing. So happy I chose Enigma. Everybody was professional and welcoming. The whole process was easy and Katie who did my piercings was amazing. Definitely would go back again.

I have gotten both piercing and a tattoo from here. I loved the piercing and will always return here for more piercing needs. However, I had a bad experience with my tattoo. The tattoo faded after 1 day and I later found out from my dermatologist it caused major scarring from the needle going to deep. So i spent over $1000 on a biopsy and creams for a $120 tattoo that i’m not happy with.

Went in for some help with my septum ring, in and out for a walk-in. Very clean place, extremely welcoming staff, absolutely lovely experience highly recommended

Had a wonderful experience once i was able to get inside. Be sure to call and make sure the piercer is there before you go. I planned on going on Monday Nov 30th, but there was no piercer when i got there at 1pm and was told that the piercer would be there soon, so i went to a couple shops in the loop and waited anxiously for a call from the shop. After an hour and a half i called to check in hoping that my number was written down wrong and the piercer was there. Unfortunately he was not and i was told i was going to have to wait longer. After waiting another hour, i called again to check, was told he wasnt there yet, and decided to head home and try again another day. I guess it was my fault for assuming there would be a piercer there when they were open.I ended up coming back today (Wednesday Dec 2nd) and had an excellent experience. I was greeted and pierced by Dennis and have only good things to say about him. He was extremely personable, nice, and made me feel very comfortable. He immediately established a rapport with me and cracked plenty of jokes while remaining professional. The shop was very clean and organized. I would definately get pierced by Dennis again, and will be following his work on instagram.

Literally the nicest people. So much more affordable than Other tattoo businesses. The receptionist was bubbly and sweet, the tattooist that I’ve had the pleasure of getting service from (Dennis and Beth) were as skilled as they were jovial and just an overall pleasure to be with. I recommend this place from the bottom of my heart.

My first experience here about a year ago was great! I took a friend to get her navel pierced and everything was great. I figured Id go back eventually if I wanted anything done. Well a week ago I decided to look into getting a tattoo done. The receptionist was kinda rude, acted like she did not want to be bothered so I left. Ended up getting my tattoo done down the street at iron age where I was greeted with a smile and helped despite how busy they were.

Ive gotten lots of ink, lots of places. This is a very nice one. Super clean, which is a must. Lots of artists who specialize in lots of styles, so you can find a good match. Reasonable prices. Remember you do NOT want a cheap tattoo!! Highly recommend.

My best friend and I went in for a respective tattoo and piercing walk-in because she had a good experience here for her first cartilage piercing. Unfortunately, we both had sub-par experiences this time.My tattoo artist did a decent job but was very standoffish and was making me anxious, even though it was my fourth tattoo and I’m fairly used to being under the gun. The piercer who worked with my friend was even worse. He ridiculed her for being nervous, bad mouthed her last piercer for doing a bad job, told her what she wanted wasn’t possible and then rushed her into making a decision she was unsure about. I’m sure there are other artists at this shop that do very good work, but we were certainly unhappy with our experience.

When I first went to Enigma I had 3 tattoos. The artists here made me very comfortable & do outstanding work. I now have 22 tattoos (most from Chris Greer at Enigma) & plan on many more needle therapy sessions in this establishment as time goes on.As an ex-sailor I have seen quite a few tattoos & believe that this group is by far some of the best tattoo talent one can find.I have very high regards for the staff & the art-work produced here. I feel confident in saying that if you are contemplating getting inked this is the place to do it.

June 27th of 2020 I got the outline of beautiful bat piece on my sternum by ( Beth Glass ). Beth truly did all she can to make sure I was comfortable. She put up walls to create privacy, got me a water bottle, and asked occasionallyif Im doing ok. She also made sure to take her time and look for the right size that would compliment my body type, which is very appreciated. On July 31st I got my tattoo finished and she truly did a stunning job with the color & made sure everything matched exactly to the picture she drew & still made sure I was comfortable. For it being my first time here It was by far the best experience I have had so far!

I had my eyebrows double pierced at Enigma and they turned out amazing! I went to Billy for one tattoo and have been back TWICE since. Nothing but professionalism, artistic magic and fun when you go there. Billy is going to finish my sleeve and and is already working on my other! I cant wait to get back in that chair and let Billy work his magic! The whole shop is professional and the atmosphere is ridiculously fun to be in. Makes the time go by so fast and makes you wanting to come right back for more!! Billy is one of the MOST ARTISTIC AND TALENTED TATTOOISTS I know. He wont put ANYTHING on you that wont look good and hell explain everything hes going to do as far as the artwork. Cant FIND a better artist than him! SO HAPPY I found Enigma. Ive gotten my piercing jewelry changed twice at this store. Each time it was because my nostril piercing fell out and was almost closed up. Putting another ring in there was hell but the guy who did it (dont remember his name, hes got a long beard) was as gentle as possible & funny too.

I got an industrial piercing done on my 18th birthday. They were all really nice, the piercing has not had any complications, & they give you plenty of information on how to clean/keep clean your piercing. Great job, Im so happy with my results.

Came in to get my ears pierced.. called beforehand to get pricing to which i was told 50$. This is fairly common in most shops for the ears.. on their website it lists the cost as 50$.. No pricing was discussed prior to piercing.. Shortly after being pieced (Piercing girl was very nice, helpful and respectful.) i was told the price was now 72$.. As my ears had just been done, I couldnt back out at this point.. Called them back to get calcification the website still said 50$ I double checked.. the guy at the front desk was completely clueless. Had to check with Manager & or owner and said they would call me back.. The desk guy then called me about an hour later told me the mangers and owners would not speak to me about the matter.(claimed covid was for price increase.). they offered no solution or compensation. Could have easily went 3 mins down the street to ironage or literally any other piercing shop in the area. Very rude, Very disrespectful and unprofessional. Wont be returning to this shop.

I debated whether or not to write this for weeks but I don’t want anyone else to end up with the same results. I came to a guy specifically for a Polynesian tattoo because he had experience with Polynesian. This was supposed to be the first of 3-4 sessions but after the first session I can’t go back and feel like I just have to go to Hawaii to fix it and finish it. I’m no tattoo artist but I do know what symmetry, spacing, professional and finished should look like. Spacing is inconsistent, lines are jagged and lines are also incomplete. They may be much better with other tattoos but I wouldn’t recommend Polynesian tattoos.

Nice guys here, not so great work.Got a tattoo done about a year ago at Enigma. The guy who did it was very nice... but his work was not.The tattoo was just some text. When it healed the first time it was pretty blotchy which I attributed to it being on my wrist, etc. So I went back in to get it touched up... and it healed a second time... and it pretty much looked worse than the first time.Places like this will do the first touch up for free but not the second because they figure if you need a second touch-up its probably your own fault for not letting it heal correctly. So, I instead went to Iron Age and had redone completely. It only had to heal one time and looked great, didnt even have to get it touched up. So glad Iron Age saved me because I was clearly not happy about having this shitty tattoo on my wrist.Cheap work aint good, good work aint cheap

Extremely unprofessional shop. I had an appointment set with Toph for a forearm sleeve. The artist could not find a stencil for the design, so we tabled it, reworked the concept and scheduled an appointment for 4 weeks out. I walked in today and was told a stencil could not be created. I waited 4 weeks to be told a stencil could not be created!? A call or text would have saved us both time and given me an opportunity to seek out another artist.Unreal that the artist waited until the day of the appointment to search for a stencil. Really shows the lack of preparation.

Walked right in the girl at the front desk was so nice i said I wanted two piercings and I judged Toph (the piercer) totally wrong. I even joked that He had no visible piercings of his own or no tattoos all over his body like the normal tattoo employee lol. (Joking) Im so glade I gave him a chance. I walked further down the loop from Iron Age after getting my daith from there (it was painful)!!! I was paranoid about the pain of my piercings but I promise it was painless Im still so surprised 😳 He even thoroughly went through the care of the piercing and I interrupted him and after I was done he still was determined to make sure I understood thanks Toph Ill be back !!

Came to get a cover up and one of the artists by the name of Dave after giving me an attitude said he wouldnt do it. Rude and incompetent. Ehh it was ok. I went in there for my first time & I wanted something done that was apparently too small for them to do. & I understood that but I asked anyway because you never know. They gave me such an attitude about it. I settled for bigger though because the price was cool & I wanted a big one anyway. Honestly, the vibes in there werent that great. They all were very crabby & not informative at all. I mentioned this was my first time & they just looked at me like, ok.. I had to ask them to explain to me what to expect. Also their work in there all looks simple & nothing special. Its a place to go to if you know your tattoo isnt too complicated or detailed. anyway, those two stars are simply for the person who took the time to do my simple tattoo lol. I wont be going back.

My fiance and I just walked in today and wanted to get each get a little something and our artist Brian was super chill and helpful with assisting us in making our tattoos look the best for us. If we had an idea that wasnt feasable, he told us flat out. Super honest dudes up there and theyre tattos are amazing. I Definitely recommend coming to Enigma tattoos. You will not be disappointed.

Worst tattoo experience EVER! And I have 11! In Billys 5 years of experience he evidently learned NOTHING of professionalism. Who gets into it with their client IN THE MIDDLE of a tattoo because you dont get to completely redesign THEIR tattoo???Went in to add COLOR ONLY to an outlined tattoo of flowers that Ive had for 4 years. For 4 YEARS I have planned what I wanted my tattoo (that I will have on MY body for the rest of MY life) to look like. I go in with 4 images in hand of 4 different examples of the SHADING ONLY (just a little pink) that I want added to the flowers. (I ended up with Billy because his cousin, the receptionist, talked me into him. I was BAMBOOZLED!) He does one flower so I can see and its NOT what I just repeatedly asked for. I drew it out myself to show him again and he wasnt in the least bit interested. So after getting verbally upset that I wouldnt let him have free reign on something Ive envisioned for 4 years, he rushes through my tattoo and charges me $60 less than what he quoted. I still ended up paying $200 for a $hitty, RUINED tattoo. I am devastated.

The guy who did my tattoo was rude. It was my first tattoo and I spent a VERY long time picking out a set of wings for my Aunt who I lost this year. He explained why I couldnt get the wings I wanted (too small) and I get it but he refused to draw them bigger and instead drew a horribly ugly pair that looked nothing like the ones I showed him. When i went back to the drawing board and showed him something else I liked to see if he could draw it he looked at me and said why dont you pick something a little less pinteresty. Sorry dude but this is my body and my tattoo and if I want pinteresty then thats not your place to tell me otherwise. Long story short he made me feel like a terrible person for being picky and making him draw 3 things. I ended up getting her name in her handwriting (same thing my mom has) and I like it enough. Its not at all how I wanted my first ever tattoo to go. I have plans for many more and I wont be getting them at Enigma.

I went in on a Wednesday evening for a navel piercing, and was in and out within half an hour. Toph did my piercing, and he was super gentle and really nice.

I called the number on the door, the lady who answered said she would be right there to open it. I was left waiting outside, 91degrees and humid. I could see inside that the waiting area was empty and could hear talking and laughing from whoever was inside. Even if they were at capacity, someone could have come to the door to let me know that the wait would be longer than expected. Not good business practice, so I decided to go elsewhere.

Went in to get a price on a tattoo and see when the closest time they can do it and the girl at the desk laughed and was very rude. And only 2/4 books the had actual good tattoos. Will not recommend!

Not sure about it arrived at noon and was first on the walkin list. Was told the artist had an appointment at 2 so we should be able to get in before that.... waited for 3 hours and then left, finally got a call at 6pm that they could take us... needless to say we went elsewhere.

I get first come first serve. However, they need to have an artist come out and tell you how much before waiting 2 hrs and not knowing then being obnoxiously high priced also not knowing one thing about the artist they are pairing you with. Absolutely absurb

Great experience with a small walk-in tattoo, and fiance has been a couple times for more complicated stuff. Everyone is real friendly, and Toph is not only really skilled, but really funny.

I recommend enigma tattoo and body piercings the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and they treat you like one of a kind very clean looks like it was just remodeled the piercers and its people that do the tattoos are courteous and they are really knowledgeable about after care and they took their time thats the most important thing about this place I didnt get the impression that they push you out like a slaughterhouse unlike other places in the area.

Went for a small ghost tattoo on Friday the 13th, was told that they do not do flash art, I show the person up front a reference of a ghost piece from google, and was told Thats not a walk in piece, youll need to set an appointment now keep in mind I wanted a very basic Friday the 13th ghost flash piece no bigger than two inches, and they claimed that was too complex for their artist to handle on a walk in, my partner somehow managed to get a walk in done of cherries shaped like skulls though, very unprofessional, I will be sure to tell all my friends to avoid Enigma at all costs

Awsome place go to Dennis . I am cover in ink and he is by far the best artist I have ever had ! He has done 5 of the 20 sum odd tats I got and his are by far the best

Dave is the dude. Hes taken vague concepts that Ive given him and turned them into fully formed ideas that are a hundred times better than what I could come up with on my own. Also, preeeeettttty nice fella.

Realized when I went to switch my septum that they pierced me with externally threaded jewelry. Extremely disappointed.

Reasonable pricing for piercings with new, clean needles & friendly staff! Plus I also got new jewelry.

Got off work got my septum pierced and my ears gauged. Katie was simply amazing. 😈

Absolutely worst tattoo shop Ive ever been to told us to be outside first come first serve 12:00 got there early and waited outside in the heat for 2 hours and 30 minutes with no service!!!😤

Seriously. Any piercer offering a “standard” butterfly-back piece of jewelry for initial earlobe piercing, is a hack.

Horrible because of the girl that greeted me asking you what you came to the store for what would you like to get done had the worst attitude I have came across in a long time Id fix that, which made me walk out and find a nother parlor.
