11/10 shop.When we walked in we were promptly greeted and had tons of jewelry to browse at while waiting for our appointment.We got to review jewelry and take our time picking what we wanted, staff was helpful and friendly giving us pricing for each piece we inquired about.The shop is clean, very well lit, has a cozy nice vibe. Everyone there is super friendly and welcoming.Jade pierced my partners ear, first piercing ever and it was great super smooth and quick. They discussed the final goal for the piercing beforehand to be able to discuss best placement to achieve the goal my partner wanted. The apprentice helping was also awesome, didn’t catch their name sadly.Michelle pierced my nostril today and perfectly matched my existing nostrilon the other side. They took their time and remarked my nose a bunch before having me approve the placement.I also inquired about my anatomy for other piercings and they were super informative and helpful and even offered up personal experience getting these done on themself.Overall good experience will be returning for more piercings and recommending to all my friends and family. Well worth the drive up to SLC.Only complaint- tiny, tight parking lot, arrive a bit early for parking. But that’s not their fault it’s just the location.

I loved the shop and everyone I talked to. It was a total pleasure getting pierced by Jade. I felt comfortable the whole time and am very pleased with my new piercings. Ill be back for sure!

Cat is amazing!!! She makes someone that is new to piercings and unsure about what to expect at ease. There are only a few people in this world that I would say have found their calling and are a pro at their craft, Catarina is one of them. I trust her advice and talent 100% when piercing a very important and sensitive body part. 😁

Ashley was on top of it the moment we walked in, loved her customer service. Jade was 11 out of 10. I was excited and ready to go and she kept it calm and professional the entire time. An amazing experience through and through. I cant wait to go back in a couple of months.

I’ve gotten my firsts and seconds at Koi and loved my experience for both. Jade pierced my seconds and they’re an icon. They explained everything super well and easy to understand! 10/10 recommend going there everyone is so nice.

Absolutely amazing place for any piercings you’re looking to get! always professional, clean, and very welcoming. this past week i got my nipples pierced with jade, and it was a fantastic experience. jade was patient, talked me through every step, and made the whole experience feel effortless. THE most reputable piercers i’ve ever had the chance to be pierced by!!!

I got my septum pierced by Michelle and they were the best! They were very kind and patient, and took the time to explain everything before actually doing the piercing. It was nice to be put at ease by such a kind person! I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a new piercing!

I’ve had several piercings here and the staff are all so professional and kind. My last piercing, I had Bri and she did such a good job of keeping me calm and my mind at ease. It was a great experience. Bri is awesome, definitely book with her.

They definitely do a good job and are very knowledgeable. However, the desk staff and my piercer were both kind of rude. I felt like i was inconveniencing them by being there and they got annoyed with me when I said that my piercing was infected when it technically wasn’t. My friends who’ve gone told me they’ve had similar experiences there too. I feel like other piercing shops in Salt Lake have had much friendlier staff.

Went here for a septum and nostril piercing and I can confirm that this is the best piercing studio in town! Theyre so informative of the whole process from start to finish. The space is spotless. The location is unbeatable. I am going to recommend Koi to everyone I know, because theyre just that good yall.

We had a great experience at Koi! We went in without and appointment, but the gals at the front desk were able to quickly fit us into the schedule for the same day. Our piercing artist was Bri and I cannot recommend her more! She was so friendly, knowledgeable, and had a calming presence. She did such a great job our our lobe piercings, and was so thoughtful with the whole process. She made us feel comfortable and cared for. Even though the jewelry is a bit pricier, the atmosphere and all the friendly employees make it totally worth the cost. You are also getting high quality jewelry that will last for a very long time. Would highly recommend Koi to everyone.

I was an observer. A friend I went with had the appointment for a couple of tricky piercings (one was inside the ear). This is a place that obviously knows how to get the best results for various piercings. The staff was highly knowledgeable, safe methods and sanitary tools and gloves were used. Much better than just a piercing gun. They care where the piercing is placed, they were inking a dot where the planned hole would be and double-checking the spot from several angles to make sure it was even and left room for the correct-sized jewelry. I don’t have plans for another piercing right now, but if I did, I would go here for sure! My friend has beautiful new piercings, and they are perfect!

I just got my inverse vertical labret and I love it! I was late running to my appointment so I called them and asked if I had to pay a fee or reschedule. The person was so understanding and said it would be ok as long as I got there in 15 minutes. When I get there, everyone is friendly. My piercers name was Michelle, they were very sweet and explained everything I needed to know about the piercing like healing time and other stuff 😁 10/10 ⭐

Everyone I spoke with at Koi was very friendly and knowledgeable. My piercer was Bri, and she did an incredible job. She was very informative and made me feel comfortable. I got a conch piercing, and she looked for all the right things anatomy wise, and listened to what my goal was for the placement and talked through it. Koi has a lot of wonderful earring options and they are very sanitary. I would certainly go back and would recommend them to anyone.

Michelle did my belly button piercing, she was very fast and efficient.This place does the right thing by checking for correct anatomy and only allowing jewelry that with comfortably accommodate the wound. Mine is healing great and it’s only been 2 months, plus, the placement is perfect and she got it first try ❤️ definitely coming here for any other piercings.

My most indecisive 6 year old wanted her ears pierced and had asked for months. I made her an appointment and she started to doubt herself as we started to move to the actual piercing. I was amazed at the kindness and understanding of Michelle. This kid said yes then no for almost an hour.We were able to help her find her confidence and she opted to finally get the piercing. I have never seen a more compassionate display and am so pleased that I chose KOI.As a resident of salt lake for almost 30 years the name is synonymous with quality piercings. I’m not the type to write a review let alone a bad review. But I think it’s important to share my bad experience. I won’t name the piercer because she was probably having a bad day. I went in to get my septum and navel done. My septum was done very well and quick I have no issues with this. The issue was my navel. It was the first one we did it was painful of course but she got the length wrong twice which is fine but being my first piercing it was traumatizing because of how much she had to do with the newly pierced hole. I recently noticed my navel getting more and more irritated despite healing pretty well. I went to call today no answer which is understandable. I proceeded after waiting more than 5 minutes each time to call 5 times leaving voicemails I got no response. I decided to say screw it I called another piercing shop and went into them. Turns out she didn’t take into account my sitting position for my navel. She gave me a ball instead of a flat disk. My navel collapses when I sit which means the ball has been creating intense pressure which is why I was seeing the irritation. I’m not angry at the piercer for this small error I’m angry at the lack of ability to reach the shop. This wasn’t something I could’ve gone on the website for.

I got an eyebrow piercing done by Michelle for my birthday yesterday. Absolutely love it! They are super comfortable to be around, my piercing looks great and is healing great! They also helped me make informed informed decisions about sizing up my ear lobe gauges now that Ive gotten to the harder jumps (which they also pierced for me a few years back). Love Koi, the vibes in the shop are great, everyone is nice and professional and its reasonably/clearly priced for the labor and the jewelry.

Ive always really liked Koi. The staff is always very friendly and despite being incredibly busy (because everyone has realized their greatness) they take time to explain pricing, sizing, and educational info about continued care of your jewelry. While I havent been pierced in years, they are the only place I will buy body jewelry.

Michelle was super sweet and gentle. She was very focused on making sure she had my 9 year olds consent every step of the way, which we really appreciated. Definitely put my little girl at ease and made it a nice, quick, and calm experience for her.

Got matching nostril piercings from Jake and he did amazing! He explained everything in detail and was very clear about what the piercing process would look like. He even took the time to explain why the placement we were doing was optimal for healing vs where I had envisioned it which I really appreciated. Great experience, great staff, and great jewelry selection. I will definitely be recommending this studio to my friends and I will be returning for any piercings I want in the future.

I was super nervous to get my piercings, I even showed up early. Jade was amazing at making me feel comfortable. She answered all my questions before, during and after. Very professional and fun. I definitely recommend.

This place has rude staff and WAY over priced jewelry , not to mention when I went to buy jewelry here they did not tell me that that charge you $15 AND want a tip for putting the jewelry in . I can literally do that myself !!! I didn’t need to pay $15 to a piercer to do that plus have the audacity to ask for a tip ? Plus $400 on top of that for the jewelry. But they don’t even tell you until AFTER the fact. I found the same exact jewelry , same exact 14k gold online at FRESHTRENDS jewelry for 40% less of what they are charging . Koi literally rips you off and didn’t even give me a receipt if anything goes wrong either their $400+ jewelry that you can get cheaper online for the same exact quality and gold

This place is great! It is clean. The staff is professional. They have a huge selection of good quality jewelry. We got there right as they opened their doors, and were able to pick out our jewelry and change our piercings within a half hour. However, the place was packed and people getting a piercing had a 1 hour wait. Plan ahead, but it is worth the wait.

I have had 7 piercings done here! They are so good at educating and transparency. They provide after care saline spray, and each piercer gives you a card so you can contact them if you have questions or issues. I have had Jade, Michelle, and Bri, all of them wonderful. The front staff were super nice!

Had an amazing experience with Bri!! She did my second love piercings and would definitely go back. Kind and talked me through everything. The front desk was also so patient while I picked out my earrings.

I got both my daith piercings here Because I had an older sister who got her daith piercings through Koi and recommended them and I don’t think I will ever go anywhere else. before I knew about Koi, I went somewhere else and they messed up on my piercing. I’ve never felt more confident in a piercer before even having a piercing done by them. Every single person in this office made me feel so comfortable and safe. They definitely know what they’re doing, and they definitely know who they’re hiring. The piercing itself was even better than I thought it could be. They are worth every single penny. If I could give 10 stars, I would. I am constantly talking about them when people ask if I know of a good piercer. Seriously, you would be dumb not to use them. Just being very honest. Take it from someone who’s had a few bad piercings from places in Utah. This is top-tier!!

We got my 5 year olds ears done and Michelle was SO GREAT with her. She was patient and made sure my daughter knew everything that was about to happen.From the moment we walked in they all had exceptional customer service, very friendly and answered any questions we had.

I dont usually leave bad reviews unless treated disrespectfully which never usually happens but long story short, not very welcoming, one of the piercers accused me of starting a battle between two piercer, when I was honestly just looking for help and they couldnt help me. I was given advice from here, and when I chose to be pierced closer by due to convenience and expenses, I came here again to have that checked, generally got it pierced to give an example of what was being pierced incorrectly, and gave info that I was told to give, to then be told i was starting a piercer battle and that they werent comfortable with piercing me. Ive never been treated so harshly by a piercer. I wouldnt consider it honesty rather than just plain rude and mean. Second I did not ask the piercer to text my piercer, I asked her to write down some notes for me to remember as she told me to ask my piercer if she could pierce it deeper. I never once brought another piercers name into it, but people can say what they want and think its the truth 🤷‍♀️ i genuinely came in to share it as an example, and ask what tips I could use when asking the piercer where I want the placement. It wasnt to start a battle, but here I am being accused by those who call themselves professionals. I did not ask for the piercer to contact my piercer, she told me to ask my piercer to pierce it deeper. They are a dishonest company and will flip the blame on you. I would not go if I were you.

I got my septum pierced by Frank,who was FANTASTIC.He was very friendly and very patient.He made me feel comfortable and explained everything from what would happen during the actual piercing,to aftercare.The front staff were very calm and friendly.I enjoyed my experience overall.

Jade did my nipples and it was a GREAT experience!! She was so welcoming and right away made me feel comfortable and not stressed. 10/10 experience. Worst experience EVER! Really did not want my business. I would say no star. If you have a 12:30 appointment dont show up at 12:26, you will rudely be told they dont open until 12:30 . Once inside I was told my person that I had Scheduled for was not there and that someone else could possibly do it, so you have to give them 24 hours notice, but apparently, they dont have to give you any notice, and finally after having the lobes stitched for five month they told me they really do not like to do the ear until six months, so basically we dont want your business go away. Very rude staff.

I was recommended to this faclity by a cousin. Bringing my seven year old daughter here, I was a bit nervious for her first ear piercing. Our priercer was Bri and she did the most amazing job. She was so good with my daughter making sure she was confortable through out the whole process. She was very kind and worked so well with children that I would reccomend to my friends. Very professinoal staff and worked well with all my questions.

DONT get ur nipples pierced here!!! I had mine done here and my right nipple never healed for 3 years!! So I finally took them out I’m was over it. You can see how deep they pierced my right nipple compared to my left. No wonder it never healed!! The worst part is I spend over $300 on them. I got them pierced everything was fine! Went back in to get the bars shortened and it all went downhill from there. They put to small of bars in so my nipples got so swollen and infected there was blood all over my bra. It was so painful. When I went back in a few weeks later to get them long again because they messed up THEY STILL MADE ME PAY $40 per little bar for each nipple. Don’t recommend.

Had my dermal and nose done today by Michelle she was amazing, super sweet and just made ya feel comfortable Ill definitely be coming back to her and I come from tooele so yes I am happy!!!

First timer, and I was really nervous so Im very grateful for my positive expierience. Everyone at the front desk was so nice, even them being so busy. My piercer was Catrina, they were so sweet (beautiful fairy goddess vibes) and really helped me feel more relaxed. It was my first facial piercing. I really appreciated how well they communicated through the entire process, it hardly hurt at all, Catrina was very gentle and supportive. They were all so nice and professional. Even tho I accidentally put the wrong info on the online app. Now I know I can always just call in. Ask questions, and learn better for next time! I will for sure be coming back. Super lovely shop.

They are always so nice and well-informed, and they didnt try to up sell me on jewelry. Cat is very knowledgeable and professional, and she made me feel comfortable. I had my daith done by her two years ago and then my helix and lobes today and she was amazing both times! And I was very pleased to see them taking so much care to sanitize and keep their employees and customers safe. Definitely worth it!(I colored my hair yesterday, which is why everything is purple).

I have gotten 11 piercings here (4 that cant be discussed in polite company) and have never had a bad experience. Theyre very professional and the jewelry is really high quality. Ive had my Industrial and eyebrow for about 10 years now and still have the original jewelry in them. There can be a bit of a wait and the waiting area is tiny, but I would still highly recommend coming here for anyone wanting a piercing or if you have any questions.

Jade was absolutely wonderful. My 9-year-old wanted her ears re-pierced after they closed up but was scared. Jade talked her through everything and helped her feel at ease. My daughter had a fantastic experience and said it didn’t even hurt. I got a triple forward helix at the same time, no complaints at all and the piercings look great!

Jade helped us get our daughters earlobes pierced. She was extremely professional, helped us and our daughter feel at ease, kept all tools and the environment extremely clean and sterile, yet welcoming. She spent a good amount of time getting the placement just right before piercing. Our daughters ears look awesome and are healing well. Excellent job!

I had DeeJ (edit: don’t think he’s there anymore. See below: I recommend Cat!) for my belly button piercing and he did an amazing job. It has been two weeks since I had it done, and I’ve had exactly zero issues.One thing to keep in mind, if you’re worried about jewelry options, don’t be. They had plenty of colors and price points, and I walked out with a nice blue one.Everyone you ask will probably tell you to come here for a piercing, and for good reason. I was impressed from my initial appointment setting all the way through the procedure. You’re just not going to find a better place.Hey, just wanted to edit this review more than a year later. Nothing has changed about how I feel, but I wanted to add more, and add some photos!First, Cat is the person you want to see here. She’s done all of my piercings except for my initial belly button, first two lobes, and a couple private ones. So, if you’re keeping score, that means she’s done 12 of mine not including different downsizings and jewelry changes along the way. She’s amazing and deserves your body as a canvas, as you’ll see in the photos.Yeah I actually don’t have much more to add, just go here, you’ll be happy. I’ll add the full frontal set up once I get a pic with good lighting ☺️

They pierced both my lobes a few months apart and did a great job. Super clean facility and practices and they give really thorough after care instructions.

My daughter is 9 and when she was almost 8 I took her to Clairs in the mall now closed, to get her ears pierced for the first time. They were always infected and red, and put so far down on her lobe that the earings would tip almost upside down. So we took out the earings and let her ears heal. I had a friend go to this place for earings and recommend it to me, I looked them up online and read almost every review. I took her down on a Friday and they were packed!!! Like wall to wall, it was a little overwhelming to be honest. We filled out the paperwork and went to see how long it would be. We left and went to lunch. When we got back, it was way better not near as many people. They got us right back and did such an amazing job, she was nervous and the girl was great with her. No infections, red the first 2 days and hardly any pain. I recommend this place to everyone!!! Love it. Pictures start from nervous to done!

I will never go anywhere else for our piercings. The staff at Koi are knowledgeable, thorough, and kind. The shop is immaculately clean and beautifully decorated. We have always been treated well by not only the piercers, but the front desk staff, as well.Most recently, I brought in my kids for second lobe piercings. We saw Cat, and I was so impressed with how accommodating and professional she was. She put my kids at ease, talked them through the process, and made the experience wonderful. Would absolutely recommend!

It hurts me to make this review but I have recently had an extreme infection and spent over $2000 trying to fix what had occurred. I have been coming to Koi for over 6 years and have always been a loyal “Koi only” kind of girl. But these recent years, the new piercers just don’t care as much as the last ones did. Last year I switched out jewelry worth $1300 and then lost one of them because it wasn’t screwed in all the way. Understandable and they were great on accommodating a new piece of jewelry. Second time, the same piercing got lost and this time I had to pay for a new piece, third time the same piercing got lost I decided to change it to a hoop. While they were changing the hoop, they seemed irritated to see me three times and rushed through the whole process. (Each time I had the same person changing my piercings.) My fully healed piercing then got infected from it being yanked on so hard, bleeding for at least a week after, and now hurt continuously. Despite keeping it clean and using the solution it would not heal. So recently I had to take that piercing out and my ear is swollen to the point of my hearing being obstructed. The new people have really created an environment I will not being coming back to.

This is one of the best piercing studios in utah. The staff are super friendly and its obvious they love their jobs. They were super flexible after I had an unexpected schedule change and needed to reschedule. The piercings came out amazing, and they even helped me downsize an old piercing that I had gotten somewhere else. The staff were super knowledgeable and made sure to properly explain aftercare, as well as the rejection risk of the piercing I was getting. Thanks so much and Ill definitely be back!

Ive taken both my kids here for their ear piercings. They are super strict about are you really their parent... Which is fine its just a thing to be aware of. Im just used to the old days of who cares really. But they are great. The piercers really know their stuff and do a great job. Both were redos of Claires nightmares from years before. They were able to reopen the holes for one of my kids and one of the holes for the other and then a new piercing for the other lobe. They do a ton of education too. They make sure that they explain the process. Im a health professional and I feel like they are on the level. I have a lot of respect for them. Pay the extra money and take your kids here. If you are getting anything besides lobes its a no brainer... Bri is especially amazing and I feel like the universe brought us to her. She is a special human on this planet and Im glad to have crossed paths with her in this lifetime for but a moment.

Its always a good sign when a piercing studio is clean, with no smells even of chemicals. They have a section to display different cultural history of body modification and the staff are wonderful at their jobs. They have safe practices, an amazing patient interaction reputation, and a decent selection of starter jewelry.

Bright my little girls here to get their ears pierced after a horrible experience at one of the mall places. It was sometime ago when we came here but Patrick was awesome. He explained everything that he was going to do and took the anxiety away from my girls. Super awesome bedside manner.

I came back here to get more piercings and had Jade as the piercer. Jade did such an amazing job. They walked me through everything and made me feel so comfortable. They checked in constantly and made sure I was feeling comfortable and prepared the whole way through. Would highly recommend Koi piercing!!I have been here for just ear piercings but I wouldnt dare go anywhere else. this place is so so clean and everyone there is so kind. They walked me through everything to make sure we were all on the same page before they pierced my ear. Then when they did it they explained all the healing process and how to help it. Honestly this place is amazing.

I have visited Koi multiple times both for my own piercing and for my teen. We also both returned for installation of new jewelry. Each time we have visited, they have been busy but still make sure to greet people as they come in. Our favorite piercer is Michelle. Michelle really helped my teen feel comfortable throughout the entire process. When we had aftercare questions come up a week or two later, they were also very responsive and so helpful. Highly recommend!

A super nice and clean studio. Me and my dad got our lips pierced. Michelle did my paired lower lip piercings and the whole time they were explaining the process while reassuring me about the aftercare. Everyone in the studio has good energy and they’re patient. Super cool looking staff too :3

I’m not one to post reviews but I highly recommend going here for your piercing needs! The staff are super friendly, knowledgeable, respectful, supportive, and they overall take super good care of you. I previously got my 2 earlobe piercings done with a piercing gun at Claire’s because I was afraid of needles at the time (I was 6 & 10 years old at the time but as of today I’m no longer afraid of them). When I got my helix piercing done by Cat a month ago, there haven’t been any issues with the healing process as of now. Matter of fact, she pierced it so beautifully! She was made me feel safe and was a true professional with marking the placement for the piercing. I’m absolutely in love with it. I’m intending to get my third earlobes and nostrils done by her when I get back from my vacation. 11/10 would recommend :)

I got a double Helix done and had my daith jewelry replaced. Bri was incredibly patient with me and explained everything as she was piercing me. Definitely going back for all my future piercings!

Ive gotten both my lobes and new single helix pierced at Koi, and was impressed with their customer service each time! They adhere to strict social distancing guidelines and mask use policy. A bottle of hand sanitizer is at the ready on the reception counter.The piercing artists are very friendly and professional. Before they touch anywhere that you cant see, they always tell you what theyre doing and whats coming next, leading to an easy procedure thats over in minutes. Its a friendly and supportive atmosphere where you can feel safe.After the procedure, you are free to check out the new jewelry and ask all the questions you want. They send you off with a business card and their number for you to text in case you have questions about the recovery or anything else down the road. I would definitely recommend Koi to friends looking to get their next (or first) piercing!

Three of my daughters have had their ears pierced at Koi in the last few years. Every one has been a great experience. The people are very nice and explain what is happening every step of the way. Their jewelry is costly because it is very high quality and safe. None of my daughters had any problems with infection or even any swelling, tenderness, redness, or discharge at any point after getting their ears pierced. These guys definitely know what theyre doing and they do it right!

I had so many recommendations for Koi and have been nothing but disappointed. Both of my daughters developed keloids (which had nothing to do with koi) but both of the piercers seemed to know nothing about them (they called them moisture bumps) and had no solution for. After leaving completely disappointed it took me 10 seconds on the internet to find out what they (yes in hindsight I should have googled it before I went in but that’s my stupidity) were and a text to my sister to find out how to treat them. Then when we tried to remove one of the earrings the back wouldn’t come off and after trying to remove it with suggestions from the internet and those didn’t work I called and they said they may have set the tension too tight. I wish someone would have told me they even set a tension when I got them pierced, or that if it didn’t pull off easily to come in and they could take it off because they set the tension too high.

I got my bridge piercing done here by Michelle. They were so great, and the piercing went really smoothly. Very comfortable experience, and I could tell they were very knowledgeable and cared a lot about what they do. If I ever want another piercing, Im definitely going back to Michelle.

Been a customer here for many years, during the last couple years this place has had a seriously degraded quality of service, selection and plan old attitude. The staff here is rude and unprofessional. They have no idea how to run a business. I can understand the need for some Covid protections but there policies are more stringent than any hospital in the state.Will be shopping elsewhere from now on.

The team at Koi was so wonderful when I went to get my nose piercing changed to a ring. When I walked in, I was greeted by an employee that walked me through the different options I had for rings and priced out each choice. The prices were quite reasonable and the rings seem to be good quality. I then waited only about 10 minutes for another employee to take me to the VERY CLEAN back room to swap my piercings. The employee was very thorough and walked me through what I should expect after she put in the ring. 10/10 would be back again.

Throughout the years, all of my friends have always said, “Go to KOI!! If you’re getting a piercing, you have to go to KOI!!” They weren’t joking. I have never had a better piercing experience than when I went to Koi. It was miles better than the traumatic experience you get at Claire’s lol. Jade did my Daith piercing about a year ago and it’s been my only piercing to heal without any issues! She was quick and gave me thorough guidance on how to care for it during the long healing process. If you’re considering a piercing, absolutely book at Koi!

I’ve had a daith, both lobes and a double helix done over time by Cat, and every time it’s been a quick and painless process! The studio is very clean and you can tell they take sanitation seriously. Cat is welcoming and checks in throughout the whole process, also ensuring you like the placement before moving forward. I honestly don’t want to try getting pierced anywhere else, I already trust KOI wholeheartedly! Would certainly recommend to anyone who’s looking for a clean, quality piercing.The only downside with this is that you’ll find their jewelry is a bit more expensive than other locations, but it also seems to be great quality. For most piercings it seems they use implant grade titanium or gold. The service and quality is worth the price tag, if it’s within your budget! I’d recommend saving up for a higher quality piercing even if it’s not, considering you’re having a foreign object placed into your body and the healing process is going to be so much better.

KOI is amazing. Everyone I interacted with was very kind and helpful. Cat was my piercer, and they were great. These were the first piercings I had since I had my lobes pierced as a kid, so I didn’t know what to expect. Cat walked me through everything they were doing, and made me feel calm. I am so happy with my results.

Excellent piercing studio! So many earring choices. I got my first cartilage piercing - helix. I was very nervous beforehand but it wasn’t bad at all. A hard pinch. For me, it actually hurt more when she threaded the earring back through. But overall, I rate the pain a 3 out of 10. Excellent service, clean, very knowledgeable, and affordable. Total amount paid was $105, which included the actual piercing, earring stud, and artist tip. Highly recommend!

I loved getting my ear pierced here. I got my daith done. The piercer was super nice, she was experienced and nice enough to answer any questions I had. I will definitely come back. The jewelry selection was limited for brand new daith. Especially since I had to get a bigger hoop so my ear would swell over the earring. But overall I had a great experience and I love the earrings I was able to get and piercings.

I went with my sister to have dermal anchor done as a gift for her for her birthday. The amount of care the store took keeping it clean was highly impressive. They were consistent on wiping everything down as the store was quite busy. The interaction with the customers was great. Once we were back in the studio, Michelle was quick and efficient. She was informative and very helpful. Im hoping to get a piercing done there myself very soon.Side note: There was a little boy who wanted to go outside and wait for his mom and sister to finish his sisters ear piercing. Instead of them just letting the young boy do what he wanted, they actually took it upon themselves to talk him out of going out near traffic while they grabbed his mom. I found it impressive that they cared enough to step in instead of treating it like it wasnt their problem.

The girls in the front where amazing friendly helpful. Patrick did both of my daith because I suffer from migraines. He was amazing. Definitely going back when I need more piercings. And telling friends and family to come here to get anything done.

Ive been here many times. Ive brought my children and my friends. Ive never had less than an amazing experience. They are clean, knowledgeable, friendly, and have excellent customer service. Their staff is highly skilled at what they do. My most recent visit included my 17 year old Son and I forgot to upload his ID and BC ahead of time. My fault. Then I forgot to bring them with me. Again, my fault. Did they make feel stupid? NO! They gave me options and suggestions and went above and beyond to ensure we were able to meet the BC and ID requirements while also ensuring the next appointment wasnt delayed for me being forgetful. We love Koi!

Michelle did my paired nostril piercings on Saturday and she was amazing! This place is so nice and clean and everyone has the best energy. Such a positive and friendly environment.

Jade and Kat are incredible at their craft and have always done an incredible job. I had a hiccup on some jewelry I bought and they got back to me immediately and corrected it. This was first ever piercing and was told I needed to go here by everyone I asked.I have terrible migraines and nothing would help. I started looking into getting my daith piercings about a year ago.I heard from people who went elsewhere that it hurt the second it went in and didnt stop hurting for 6 months. There was a good amount of pressure when she actually did it but I wouldnt actually call it pain. About 12 hours later Im still without pain from the piercings.If you need any sort of piercing, youd be crazy to go anywhere else.

DJ is awesome! I got my daith on both ears back in Oct. and he did an awesome job. Th other day I had the little ball pop out of my piercing and they got me in same day to put it back in and check that it was all good.

I have never met such rude and inconsiderate staff. They are put out by having to help me. Customer service is definitely not a priority of any kind. I have purchased a few times from them but I will NEVER return. There are much friendly establishments that want my business.My daughter just called to schedule an appointment for her daughter and they were extremely rude and put out that they even had to answer her questions. She said she would never take her business to an establishment that treated her so rudely on the phone.I would definitely think twice before even going here, I am sure there are businesses that would love to help you.

We got to the store and called the number to come in for the appointment. Made us wait outside in the freezing weather while they “looked for the paperwork”. Finally came to the door and informed us that only the person with the appointment was allowed in. I said “okay” and walked back to wait in the car. As I walked away she proceeded to make a bunch of comments about how we should have known and acted like we were idiots for bringing a person along for the appointment. Then continued to make comments about it to my friend during her appointment while I waited outside. Weird experience.

Love this place! Staff is amazing, great atmosphere, clean environment! They dont schedule appointments so the wait can be 20mins to an 1hr depending on the amount of people waiting to be pierced. They will tell you the wait and you can leave then come back and they will hold your spot. Best experience everytime I come!

Brought my daughter here for her 5th birthday to get her ears pierced, they were amazing! Staff was knowledgeable about recommending jewelry for her age and had a wide selection that was decently priced. Jade pierced my daughter and wow. She asked several times for her consent, made sure we were there because it was her idea, and explained every step and showed her the tools she’d be using! My daughter didn’t cry or flinch and hasn’t complained at all about pain from the piercing. She’s in love and Jade even gave us her contact info in case we have questions. Super impressed with this shop and the whole experience. Very clean and professional. So impressed!!

I had a good experience over all. Cat was nice and very patient with me considering how nervous I was. She let me take a few extra minutes to calm down and explained the whole process. I did my Daith and double Helix. It was pricey once the jewelry was added, but I think it was expected. Most of the girls at the front were nice and friendly. There was one of the who didn’t seem as friendly as the rest (I assume she is who all the comments refer to), but even she wasn’t mean. Overall, I would recommend to friends and family.

I’ve came to koi a few times now and the first time I had a good experience, last two times the two people at the front counter were very rude, lots of negative energy towards me who only had a few questions about jewelry. Made me feel dumb, I work in the industry so I definitely didn’t appreciate the treatment. I ALWAYS recommend koi and have sent them a lot of business. I will not be returning in the future. The piercer on the other hand, the one with green hair is very kind. Front desk needs to work on their manners and communication skills while working in intimate customer service.

Let me just start off by saying the vibes in this shop are immaculate. Very welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Cat did a bridge piercing for me and she was very careful to make sure everything was even, gave me all the information I’d need on the process and healing. Ive had only one less-than-stellar experience at this piercing studio, and it was with someone visiting their store. Ive been there at least a dozen times. Much better experience here then at the studio where I moved. In fact, my experience has been so good that I come up to koi on my vacations to get things looked at and fixed. Whoever pierces you gives you their phone number so you can text pictures or ask questions when youre not there at the studio. I always feel more educated when I leave. The girls at the front desk actually know what theyre talking about and can do good assessments. Theyre not just people at the register. The entire operation is professional and pleasant.

My 12yo and I went to KOI for our first ear piercings together. We were nervous and excited, but the staff made us feel more comfortable. We were give clear explanations about what was happening during our piercings, and how to care for them. Our piercings were carefully marked and checked to see that they were level/even on our lobes. Were both so happy with how they turned out.While it was worth the expense, I wish the breakdown of pricing was more clear on the website. I didnt realize wed be paying for the piercing, plus the additional charges for each stud. I thought the pricing listed on the website included everything.

Ive been to this studio several times, some times to pierce myself, other times to support friends. Im always extremely pleased with their aseptic techniques and methods of sterility and cleanliness. All the stories Ive heard of those getting their piercings done here and Ive yet to hear a negative experience. Their staff is always so respectful, informative and punctual. I have over 20+ piercings and have frequented Koi for years. I had a HORRIBLE experience this time. I have never been treated so poorly by a customer service employee in my life. I would highly recommend going to ENSO or IRIS, both of those shops have treated me respectfully 100% of the time.I came in to get some really long posts in my earlobes switched out. I had a shorter post in my lobe before but I lost it and was using a long one in the meantime. I am getting married next month and want my ears to be perfect.The piercer, Jade, came out and was aggressively telling me that she refused to put in shorter posts. I touched my earlobe to show her how the end was hanging out of my ear and she rudely SCOLDED me for touching my ear to show her. She told me I was “endangering everyone in the shop” by touching my own ear lobe!I understand if they recommend not to touch your ears - she could have kindly asked for me to wash my hands after I am done showing her what I needed to.Instead she talked to me like I was a child telling me I was imagining things about the post length, when the end was visibly hanging out of my ear. I tried showing her the shorter ends in the other 8 piercings I have on the same ear but she refused to understand. She would not listen to me, she kept getting meaner and meaner as we talked.I have never been spoken to or treated like that by anyone in my life, much less someone I would be potentially paying for services!I told her she was making me so uncomfortable, I needed to leave. She was absolutely fine with that. I left immediately (I was so so upset) and went straight to IRIS, they gladly listened to my concerns and switched out my lobe piercings in under 30 minutes. My ears look great now - the shorter posts are perfect.Unfortunately I will NEVER go to Koi again and will never recommend anyone to go there in the future. DO NOT go here and if you do - avoid Jade.

I just got my ears pierced here and had a wonderful experience! Jade was my piercer and she was awesome! When I was younger, I had gotten my ears pierced at somewhere like Claires and had a horrible experience. It was VERY painful and my ears got badly infected and I hadnt wanted to do it again for almost 20 years. I was a bit nervous going in to get it done again, but I know a few people who have gotten piercings done here and swear by them. Now I see why! Jade was very nice, answered all my questions and walked me through the process. I barely even noticed my ears being pierced this time around!

I brought my 8 year old here to get her first lobe piercing and my second lobe piercing. Both my daughter and I were a little nervous but the minute we walked in, the front desk was so welcoming. Our piercer Jade was so nice! She explained everything clearly and make sure my daughter wanted to continue on her own. She walked us through every step and made sure we were comfortable and happy before we we left. Would definitely recommend.

This was an incredible experience! I was a little bit nervous about getting my nose pierced, but everyone made me feel really comfortable and safe. I would really appriciate if I didnt always feel so rushed or unheard/listened too when I came In Here. I have on 2 occasions (the only two times) i have come in for jewlery as someone that has had many many studs in my face since 16 years old.The first time was for 2 barbells and ends for my double tongue piercings 60$ each and definatly not a small total for jewlery- in witch I stated I wanted the same langth bar that is put in when origenally getting pierced- and explained i have already tried the suggested langth and its not what im comfortable with -- yes its something people say no too, due to chipped teeth--- however I have autism and I am very very sensitive to my body at rest being squeezed tight and it causes not only swelling and iteration but just a general highly uncomfortable feeling. I do not like the feeling of my tongue being squeezed when resting normally in my mouth. After being rushed through explaining that- the piercer went based off what front desk said without asking me with the switch and put them in for me as the ends were to tight for me to do myself. I came back 1 day later having a consistant panic feeling with my own bars asking to have the piercer take them out and fit the end peices on my own longer bars that I ended up ordering amazon 24 hour due to feeling so unheard and rushed by the front desk, basically had to buy the jewlery 2 times even with the piercer changing them for me. I didnt trust if i went back in to re explaine and have the jewlery switched they would listen to me. Now- years later after that first bad expirience after deciding I would go to only etsy and distributors for jewlery because I found it so rude in the shop, I went back. This time for a Medusa stud. I was so rushed its not even funny- even had to check out in 2 transactions because they only listened to my first sentence. I had to ask to look at tops. No pricing was explained-- until I asked for the price of 3 different tops. I explained that I only knew the size in mm because I know what mm bar I need- and they cut me off to have a piercer check by just visualizing my lip thickness, and felt the need to tell me 3 times i cant return jewlery--no returns-- understandable, but no explanation was made for what their fraction of an inch compared too in mm the standard for every other piercing jewlery ordering system, and I wouldnt have even been able to Google it with how fast they were pushing me out the door anyway. I got a new top because I trusted their forced guess of sizing, only to get home and have the bar never even remotely poke out through the front of my streached lip. If I had pushed the pin all the way in I would have ended up in the hospital with a stuck jewlery piece or pulled the back or front end through the 16 guage hole. I drove back-- calm. I Honestly expected this exact scenario considering how rushed and unlistened to i was the first time. I explained i needed to buy a bar one more size up. The piercer who guessed the sizing was rolling there eyes the whole time dramatically like I couldnt possibly know what Im talking about- witch is insane. i wasnt being rude, loud, or attatudy just accepting that it happened.. I explained that at rest right now as Im talking to you the end of my bar inside of my lip. After explaining even that the end of the bar was literally INSIDE of my lip at rest the piercer decided to tell me that for this piercing it was suppose to be that way. Great- I get they need to rest on the front and back of my lip slightly tight- but Im explaining that this bar is so small that my body would pull one of the two ends forcefully through. And so--- I again- after explaining what I needed and not being heard and being extremely forcefully rushed through my transaction had to buy a second bar. So instead of a 42$ set for one piercing it was 67$.It all could have been avoided for me if the people hire for the front desk would just take 2 seconds to actually listen and stop treating walk ins like they are people you need to get out of the store in 60 seconds or less

Edit // Crooked belly button piercing that I’m sad about everyday. Should’ve known better when the piercer asked me if it looks okay. How was I supposed to know you’re the piercer. It healed nicely, so there’s no room for that excuse. It’s just crooked it’s embarrassing. Price $100 with piercing included. I regret coming here everyday.Edit. Yes, I see the owner responded back. It’s almost impossible to fix a piercing without previous tissue affecting the new piercing. It’s not a guarantee my piercing will be straight if I go out of my way to take it out let it heal and do it again. As someone with a darker skin tone any type of piercing will be left as a scar so to go out of my way and try again isn’t worth it. I would be left with 2 visible scars long term. I understand you have a piercer ask if it’s okay. But, again I cannot tell immediately after I see this. The piercer should have known. That is their qualified job. My piercing is crooked & visible, when people notice it bothers me and I tell them not to book with KOI. Either way if I do go as far as trying to fix this I would not try here seeing as the staff can be rushing and condescending as I have gotten two other piercings here. Your reviews are honest for the people who have experienced the same treatment I have. Giving my business to somewhere else would have been so much more worth it and this experience cannot be fixed.

When u get the right person to help the experience is amazing! Super helpful. Jewelry is great quality and with the right help the customer service is perfect. The girls helped with everything and really knew their stuff.

I came here to get some bad piercings fixed (earlobe). They did a complimentary consult where they looked at them, then very kindly said a fix wouldnt be a problem. And what do you know. In like 20 minutes I had fixed earlobes and a helix done!! The other place stabbed me 4 times to get 3 janky holes and it was over an hour.Jade was awesome. Answered my 10 million questions and was so fast. I was nervous about my helix but I barely felt it. She gave me clearly marked placement options, pros and cons, and pointed out the most attractive locations for it.I am so so so happy!! Its worth coming here even for your classic lobe pierce, bc as I learned, other studios can still mess that up! But wow. So friendly, fast and excellent at their work.

Got my snake bites at koi today! Michelle is so lovely, they were super patient, communication was so good, and made everything quick and easy! I have been coming to Koi since I was 16 (with parents permission). They have done most of my piercings and I am always satisfied with the services I received. They have a very large selection of jewelry, I came here recently for an install because I was having some issues doing it myself. I got hoops installed in my healed piercings in my ears and nipples and they were really gentle and know exactly what they are doing. I would recommend them to everyone. I used to have Patrick do my stuff, but everyone there is awesome.

I got my tongue pierced here by Michelle they did an amazing job with the piercing everything was clean and they answered all my questions and made me feel safe. The staff was nice and helpful. It was A little pricey ($95 before tip) but you get what you pay for so I think it was worth the price 10/10 experience! :)

My experience with koi was amazing! I was greeted by some very kind employees right as I walked in. They helped me pick out the perfect jewelry and had me wait until my piercer was ready. Michelle was the one who pierced my septum and helix and they were absolutely amazing. They walked me through the entire process and made me feel a lot more comfortable with everything. Both piercings were super quick and done very well. You can tell Michelle really cares for their clients and puts a lot of time and effort into making sure your happy with your piercings and feel as at ease as possible. I really enjoyed getting pierced here and will definitely be back! I highly recommend scheduling with them!

Yes you’re going to pay a little bit more here but it is 100% worth it if you want it done right and I just did my daughters belly button here and it literally was not even red after looked perfect and still does I got my tongue pierced 20 years ago here and still the best.

I was not allowed in during my daughters piercing. I dont know if their just being extra safe or what. However, my wife and daughter both indicated the experience was good. Instructions were clear, the shop was clean and well maintained. Prices send a little steep but it was acceptable to make sure the piercing was done right. My daughter has had minimal swelling and seems to be happy with the experience.

I loved how easy it was to book my appointment online. Upon arrival all the staff were friendly and attentive to myself and others entering. I had Jade do multiple piercings in both of my ears and she was super nice and patient (even when I started feeling woozy halfway through). The jewelry they offer is also super cute but it is pricey so just be ready for that but it is definitely worth it.

A world class place to get pierced! Everyone here is so supportive, knowledgeable, and friendly. Youll as comfortable as its possible to be while getting stabbed at Koi. In addition, I really appreciate their dedication to health and safety here. The place is absolutely spotless, and Im a big fan of the continued mask mandate. Its a space everyone can feel at ease in.

Got my second lobe piercings here and had an amazing experience! Everyone was so kind and helpful while we were figuring it all out (it was our first time). I had Michelle and they were very patient and explained everything to us so that we knew not only what was happening while they were piercing, but also what to expect afterwards as well. I’d 100% recommend Koi to anyone willing to pay a little extra for quality jewelry, a soothing space, and amazing people willing to help and answer questions. I felt very relaxed and my piercings have been healing great.

I’ve been to koi for two of my piercings now and wouldn’t go anywhere else! I just got my nose done a few weeks ago and my piercer was so AWESOME! Unfortunately the opal on my nose ring chipped off, and when I called they told me to bring it right down to get sent off and fixed. Always so happy with their services :)

The people at KOI were absolutely amazing! They were all so helpful. I was getting my ears pierced and Jade was especially awesome, she walked me through what she was going to do and assured me she would tell me everything she would do. She helped me take deep breaths and was very assuring. And their instructions were so very clear. I went to Clares a few years ago and my ear holes were completely in opposite directions, and you had to put the earring in at an angle. 10/10 👌🏼

I had an amazing experience here! The staff is lovely. Got my conch & 2nd lobes done with Jade and she was the best!! Super friendly & professional. She spent lots of time placing my piercings & ensuring they were even. Throughout the process, she was great at keeping me calm and kept checking up with me to make sure I was okay since I was getting multiple piercings in a session which was great! I was given lots of information as far as aftercare & healing times as well as information about my jewelry.All in all, I highly recommend this place for any piercing needs as I was very well taken care of & enjoyed the experience! 🙂

Great,very professional, very relaxed. and tge prices are reasonable, if on the priceyer side, especially considering they are done professionally. i just got my septum done here. I previously got my ears and lip done as well in the last 6 years. keep in mind that the up front cost is only for the peircing, and not the jewlery. i spent probably 135 total for peircing + opals on the septum ring. around 140 ( 2 seperate studs) for both ears, and around 70-80 for a single lip peircing.

I got my rook pierced here years ago and had my nipples pierced somewhere else. I had to take them out for certain reasons and decided to come back to Koi when I wanted them done again. Jade did my nipple piercings and she did an AMAZING job. She was really informative, calming, and overall had a great demeanor throughout the entire piercing appointment. I was super nervous to get them done again but I was surprisingly calm the entire time! Jade was the best! Ive been to cheaper places before but I do believe you get exactly what you pay for and I am super glad I came back.

Got my conch pierced by Cat, she was super skilled and efficient. Will definitely be returning to her for future piercings! The individuals at the front desk were very helpful as well, and extremely transparent about pricing, very refreshing! Wonderful experience, 12/10 would recommend.

Love, love, this piercing studio. I have had my naval and nipples pierced here. The jewelry is expensive but well worth it. Far and away the best place anywhere for piercings. My daughter decided she wanted her ears pierced, so we made an appointment. My daughter is very nervous in new situations and struggled emotionally the whole time to the point that we almost had to leave. Jade was her piercer and was more patient, kind and understanding than I could have ever been in that situation. After almost an hour of calmly talking to her and explaining everything and a few tears, my daughter walked out with both ears pierced. She loves them. Thank you KOI for hiring such fantastic staff. If there was a 6 star review, you would be getting one.

This place is top notch! I have been to other piercing shops but always come back to this one. Their customer service is awesome. Jade is my go to piercer and always does an amazing job. She is very precise about making piercings look straight and even. I recently had a issue with my jewelry and Ashley went above and beyond and had it repaired. The girl at the front desk (bigger girl) who helped us was so amazing, very helpful! She explained the sizes and compared them to her piercings so it was a little more clear. She was patient and extremely awesome! DJ pierced us and he was great! Explained everything as it was happening, reminded us how to breathe during, gave us after care info and even his personal number to text if we had questions! Highly, recommended. Also we didnt make an appointment and got in super quick.

Walk in only, so expect a wait! I made the mistake of coming in on a Sunday afternoon and waited about three hours. However, I was given the opportunity to leave and come back and they still served every customer who signed in before closing. The girls up front were extremely kind and helpful. They were quick to check me in and gave me updates as needed. The location is a clean and organized one! I was able to find the jewelry I needed quick, and they had a high quality selection. Patrick did an amazing job! He was fast and precise! Easy to tell he is great at what he does. Received a follow up email making sure my piercings were healing right and everything was going well. I really appreciate the thought and feel at ease knowing I would have a team of professionals to turn to if I needed. Going back to Koi for any future piercings!!

All of the employees were fantastic, but I give JADE 5 starts. My 7 year old wanted her ears pierced for her birthday but she is nervous and anxious. Once back in the room, Jade introduced her herself to my daughter, and spoke to her Luke shes human and not just a kid. She explained that she doesnt like surprises and so shes going to explain/show her what shell be doing/using. She told her that piercing her ears is a big decision and that its okay if she changes her mind and no longer wants to do it. All she has to do is tell her to stop. After the first ear my daughter needed some time, Jade was patient, kind, we did not feel rushed while giving my daughter the comfort and reassurance she needed.

I got my ears pierced here and it couldn’t have been a better experience. They are very clean and sanitary. Michelle was who pierced my ears, and she made it so less painful than I thought it was going to be. She walked me through everything and made my experience here great. 10/10 would recommend. 💯

Michelle was amazing. I got both my septum and nostril peirced, they really took their time explaining the entire process and answering any questions I had. It has been 2 weeks and I havent had any issues with my peircings following the aftercare instructions I was given.I also brought my neice here to get her ears peirced (with her mom present) pre-covid and Cat was really good with her.I highly recommend KOI if you are looking for quality and professionalism.

I need to edit and redo my previous review. Unfortunately, due to some misinformation and confusion, I came to an unfortunate conclusion.As I said before, the technicians doing the piercing are amazing. They really do go above and beyond to do a good job and explain everything. This is not a quick process. They do want to do an amazing professional job, and get it right. This definitely influences the wait time. In my experience, if there is a long wait time, longer than you are willing to wait, simply come back another day. It is definitely worth it to deal with a professional reputable company. I really would not go anywhere else.As far as the special order jewelry company that they go through, I am very happy with the product that I ordered. It is a beautiful piece. As being able to do a custom design, there is a bit of expertise required to get what you want. When done correctly, you will be extremely happy with your purchase.

This is a great little shop. Lots to choose from. Front desk help could be a little more nice and friendly. Doesnt seem or sound happy. Although the guy that did my piercings was excellent. Very friendly, knowledgeable made you feel relaxed. Great sense of humor. This place is very very busy and can be hours to get in. Keep trying back. Once they said it was a four hour wait. So I went back a few months later. The same unhappy girl said it was a 1 hour wait which turned in to a 2 and a half hour wait. Not enough seating. We sat on steps.

Got my 3rd hole 🕳 done! I love this place because they are very professional, very safe, and FULL of knowledge! I saw Michelle and she was AWESOME and loaded me full of info and spent the time to adjust and readjust before piercing. She was also willing to basically put it wherever I wanted it and wasnt trying to control the placement to where I leave with something I dont like. Piercing was practically pain free and did hurt after with minimal swelling.

I really had a great experience at Koi! It was clean and they got me in quicker than they said it would take. So far my piercing is healing great and I was given lots of instruction about how to care for it. The jewelry was high quality and sanitized, and the room seemed extremely sanitary as well. It felt like I was in a doctor’s office with how clean it was, which I really appreciated. Overall it was a great experience.

I have never changed a rating/review before but Im shocked at how I was treated yesterday. I arrived at my appointment early and when I went into the studio (to buy jewelry) the employee said I would have to leave because I had my 5 year old with me. I couldnt very well leave her in the car so I asked if I could just reschedule. She told me Id have to do it online and that Id be billed a $15 cancellation fee for the current appointment. 🤯 My daughter even felt the negative vibes. The employee was so rude! I drove up the road to Iris and they were so welcoming and warm. I didnt even have an appointment and they helped me pick out jewelry and installed it for me. I was happy to give them my $800. I will say though, Koi was my go to studio before and Cat is a great piercer. 💜✨

I Brought my daughter in to get her ears re-pierced due to a horrible experience with clairs. From the moment we walked in dealing with front desk registration stuff, to picking out jewelry then working with jade and going through the piercing process was amazing. Everyone put my kiddos choices first and made sure she walked away loving her experience! Koi definitely has a new family of clients between my girls and myself. We will definitely be coming back for more piercings in the future.

Studio was really clean and nice. Front desk staff were super nice and helpful. I don’t typically leave reviews but Cat did my piercing and she was very patronizing. I did not feel welcomed by her, nor like I could ask basic questions about the piercing without her being snappy and annoyed. I asked one question twice, which apparently she had already answered but I didn’t hear, and she responded by telling me that “its because im not listening” like I was in Kindergarten. Not true, she was talking fast (also muffled by a mask) and I was nervous. Anyway, I felt really uncomfortable with the way she talked to me immediately upon meeting me and I regret that I didn’t just walk out without getting the piercing like I had the thought to. I dont understand why some artists have this attitude toward piercings/tattoo newcomers (if youve been to any piercing or tattoo studios you know the vibes Im talking about), but it makes for a very not enjoyable experience for everyone involved. For those wondering about jewelry selection, I would recommend buying your own jewelry or visiting beforehand if youre not wanting to spend $50 for a stud. My friend got a single third ear lobe piercing that was $100+.

The only place I will go for piercings and I have been going here for almost 20 years. I am getting a little frustrated because I have had some jewelry on order for months, and they say they will follow up, but I have to keep calling them for updates and never hear back. Other than the wait for very expensive jewelry, the staff, facility, and overall quality and experience is awesome. I recommend this place to anyone interested in a new piercing.

This honestly breaks my heart to have to write this review because I have loved this place for years. The woman who checked us in was indignant because I asked to look at both the yellow gold and rose gold options (it made it so she had to pull out two trays instead of one, her words not mine). Then, when checking out, there was a price decrepancy of 300 dollars. When I was told I couldnt get the piercing I wanted and I asked if I could get a different earing instead, the piercer said, well that would mean I would have to sterilize the earing for 7 minutes so we dont really let people do that. Bear in mind, at this point, we still had 30 minutes left in our scheduled appointment and we ended with 20 minutes left on the clock. On top of this, there were little things like the scheduling on their website being awful and confusing, accidental cancelations, emails with waivers never being sent, and the list goes on. While KOI used to be the best in the business, it no longer lives up to the reputation. Next time, Im going to Iris.

Michelle instruced me how to keep post secured unil we could get in.My father passed away unexpectedly that evening in another state so I was not really on my game and arrived late and the staff were still so kind replaced he piece without any hassle which was unexpected because stuff happens. Cat was so sweet to daughter and even checked her other earring for me. They had no idea what had happened but their kindness and professionalism really meant a lot to me.

Me and my fiance have had the pleasure of seeing multiple piercers here. They have all been amazing and the front staff every time we came in just super friendly and very helpful. I started to have a problem with my piercing and they took care of it every time. The cost is up there but your paying for quality. This place is amazing and I will continue to go for as long as I get piercings. Would gladly bring my children here for piercings as we. We love the people and environment ❤️

I’ve been pierced here a few times. All of them were amazing and professional, but the most recent time the piercer didn’t really have a friendly attitude, which for the piercing I got I feel like he should have been a little more supportive. Other than that instance they are phenomenal and my go to for piercings!

Making an appointment was easy. When I called them with a few questions the service was very nice and patient. My daughter was getting her ears pierced and Jade was the one who pierced them. She spoke directly to her and made her feel comfortable. It was a very good studio with great service.

I didn’t get my ears pierced here, so I can’t attest to that part of the StudioThe reason for my 2 stars is because when I came in to buy some earrings for a new piercing I specifically told one of the workers that I need earrings for a new piercing and I didn’t know exactly what I needed except that I wanted one with a ball on the back for more comfort.Given that they should be experts in piercings I thought they would explain to a newbie what the gauge thickness is and let the customer decide on which thickness they want for a brand new earring.The worker didn’t explain anything to me. She showed me the ones that looked the way I had described. Turns out she sold me 16 gauge earrings that after some online research I now personally think are way to thick for an initial piercing.The earrings ended up not working out and now I realize I wasted my money on those earrings (also, after finding the right size earrings online for more than Half the cost of Koi’s, in my opinion, Koi’s earrings were over priced)Since then I have learned online that 22-24 gauge earrings is what would be best for my already pierced ears and what would be best for an initial piercing.I think the workers could have been more helpful in explaining those aspects of earrings to someone who told them they aren’t sure what they need for an initial piercing.

Ive been to Koi a few times over the years and every time it has been a great experience. They are extremely thorough with their disinfecting processes and always make sure youre happy with what they are going to do before they do it. Staff is very friendly and makes sure you know how to care for your new piercing before you leave. Lovely experience every time.

I have been to Koi twice now, the first in the spring to get helix piercings and then today to swap out the jewelry and downsize. The counter staff is ridiculously friendly, patient and helpful. The pierces are awesome, they make you feel comfortable and are quick. Love this place!

The price to pierce is very reasonable, their jewelry is a bit pricey, but at least you know it wont get infected. My girls got their ears pierced. We had Deej do the piercing and he was so kind, polite, and patient with them! They didnt even cry he did it so well. Definitely recommend going there.

I absolutely love it here. I went in today to get my septum re-pierced and then do two new piercings on my nostrils. Tristyn was the first employee I met who walked me through my jewelery options with a wonderful and friendly disposition, she made me feel very comfortable being a first timer and made the whole check-in and check-out process smooth and easy - she was so fun to be around and made me feel very good with the compliments on my shirt! My piercer was Michelle, who was an amazing person to talk to and get to know and learn from. They also helped me feel as comfortable as possible, communicating the next step of the piercing before actually doing it, and made the experience all around amazing. My septum had to be stretched since I had my initial out for at least a month - and while that whole process made me cry like a baby, Michelle was my cheerleader and helped me feel like such a confident baddie with my new piercings by the end! Michelle is incredible and Im so delighted by the conversations we had, I would love to get pierced by them again soon. Im really happy that Koi is still taking Covid seriously, there were very few people waiting in the lobby with me before I got pierced and only a few more by the time I was leaving. All the jewelry they have here is so pretty, and everything about the studio itself just felt open and clean with a friendly ambiance. I cant wait to come back here to get my ears pierced once my face heals up!

Cat pierced my ear lobes. Despite these being pierced before (having closed up) I was nervous and she was very nice and put me at ease. The piercing itself she did quickly and professionally. Shop was extremely clean, efficient, all staff were helpful and friendly. The covid precautions were A+, which was very important to me. I would recommend this shop, and will come back if I ever want anything else pierced in the Salt Lake area.

I recently had Frank do my Industrial, and have to say the whole experience was very very pleasant. Frank did an amazing job and was super friendly and made sure I was happy with placement and comfortable the entire time. They are a very busy shop recommend making an appointment had to wait about and hour and half but this was also a walk in on a Saturday. Which is good because they had tons of repeat customers. Prices seemed really fair to me. And customer service was great will be back for future business and refer all my friends. Thank you again frank.

COVID-19 based review. I am a returning customer. The current process with scheduling and limiting the amount of people in the studio went very smooth for me. I have appreciated the level of sterilization the studio has had in the past and they have done an excellent job at adapting to the current conditions. All the staff were very friendly and my piercer Jade was smooth and gave me great advice for my piercing.

First of all Ill just say it... I got the PA. Obviously a bit nervous about the process, KOI is the only website I saw that even listed it and explained it. Now the piercing experience was exceptional! Michelle was so comforting and explained everything. She was very personable and made the entire experience a breeze. I will return for future piercings and recommend all the KOI.

My experience with KOI Piercing Studio was amazing. I saw a story post on Instagram about call ins [it was a Saturday], so I called them and scheduled an appointment to go there at the same day for a septum piercing. Cat was the professional who attended me and she explained every step and was very quick and professional. It didn’t hurt at all, except the watery eyes, which is part of the process, because of the delicate area pierced. I’ll definitely come back again and refer them to my friends and everyone that asks me about a piercing.

Ive been to Koi several times over the last 5 years or so. Ive worked with both DJ and Patrick and always made to feel comfortable by them. Patrick, I feel, really takes time to understand what youre wanting and explain as much or little as youd like to know.I have fairly conservative personal piercing tastes, and was worried I Id feel awkward. The front reception area staff has changed over the years and most of my visits have been very comfortable. Current staff is really outstanding and open to any questions. Really appreciate the atmosphere going on in this place.

I absolutely 100% recommend this place! So welcoming and clean. Staff is so friendly and helpful. I was so nervous and they definitely made me feel comfortable. No one made me feel embarrassed for being nervous. They understand that piercings are scary to some people and absolutely go out of their way to be sweet and kind and comforting. Patrick is obviously super pro-status and so friendly. It was really busy when I went so I was worried theyd be short with be or stressed, but they were completely the opposite. Can not day enough good things about my visit.

Patrick was absolutely amazing with my 8 year old. He took extra care to keep her at ease and smiling through her ear piercing. My daughter is quite shy around new people but he quickly got her out of her shell and engaged in conversation like they were old friends. He talked to her about what she was feeling and when she mentioned she was scared he validated her and let her know it was okay to be scared especially when we know we are safe. He made sure she was informed and comfortable. He was playful and fun while also being direct and professional. He took extra time to get the piercing right so her ears (each of her lobes have different widths and angles) to match. He was very detailed as he discussed follow up care. I highly recommend Koi and specifically Patrick for your childs first piercing.Also have to chime in about how much I appreciate that they have parents of underage children bring in birth certificate and that they value the childs consent and autonomy. My daughter was asked to sign in addition to us parents. Claires has been in the news for piercing children who are not consenting because the parent wants their ears pierced.
