Still happy I got this from Fabian, but the cost ($150) is way high for what I feel is a $50 tattoo.Edit: After response which is a total copout I want to make clear that according to the artist there is no shop standard for ink. Prices also vary by artist. Saying all artists in the shop are somehow exactly unified with what the shop represents is impossible, and $150 for 1/2 hour resulting in asymmetry is ridiculous.April 24 update: add photo after healing showing symmetry issues, blowout, ink outside of lines etc. turned out really poor and a ripoff for the price.

I went to the Ravenwood Manor location. Jake was amazing and the quality of his work is unmatched. I could not be happier with the results.

Jaylin was amazing. She not only talked me out of my original idea because it would have looked awful in a few years (thank you!) but her interpretation of the goat she used as the inspiration looks SOOOO much better than what was sent in.She even worked with me to try to incorporate a childhood scar into the tattoo. It didnt end up working out, but her patience and willingness to try ment a lot. I absolutely love this piece.Care, professionalism, and speed (I think this was an hour and a half with a couple of breaks?)... Couldnt ask for a better artist.

I started getting tattoos recently and this has been my absolute favorite place to get them. Miranda designed this super cool telescope and it’s my favorite tattoo by far! She also did a great little postage stamp one as well. Every time I come by, she always has different sketches based on the ideas I had provided and I love seeing what she comes with. They make it such a comfortable environment and does a great job explaining what she’s doing throughout the tattoo. They even did my friend’s first tattoo and I know she loved how Miranda was so open to talking about her spur of the moment tattoo. Such a great artist and person! :)

I had my FIRST tattoo and Christopher did an AMAZING job!! I LOVE IT!! He was kind and caring, gave me time if I needed it. I highly recommend him if your going to get a tattoo or even if you need a touch up. I am sure all their artists are AMAZING go see anyone there. Just go there for your next tattoo!

I enjoyed my experience at SLC Ink Tattoos. Neil did both of my small tattoos. He was easy to talk with, collaborated to finalize my tattoo details, and was good at communicating with me throughout the experience. Im very happy with how my tattoos turned out. I would definitely recommend Neil to anyone looking for a tattoo in the SLC area.

Jaylin was excellent! This was my first tattoo and I was nervous and very particular about the lettering. At first, I was a little worried that they wouldnt be able to capture the nuances of the typeface, which was important to me as I do a lot of graphic design, but they were more than up to the task. Jaylin was very understanding of my nervousness with it being my first tattoo and kindly walked me through all of the steps.The pain was much less than I expected it to be, and they were very clear about aftercare, so I have not been left in doubt about how to take care of the tattoo after the fact.

So it has been 20 years since I have gotten my last tattoo. I was looking for a place with experienced artists and had a good reputation... let me tell you, SLC Ink Tattoo did not disappoint! Very clean and organized building! Raphael was excellent! I am super happy with the outcome of my tattoo! I am actually planning another tattoo already! I would definitely recommend them!

Rafael was my tattoo artist and he did a phenomenal job on my first tatto! Very light-handed and he got it done so quick and clean. The whole tattoo shop was a vibe. Rating it as 5 stars is an understatement! Ill probably keep visiting the shop to keep performing my lines 🤟

I had my first and second tattoo done here. The facility is very clean and organized, the artists are amazing and I couldn’t be happier with the results! The shop was great with communication and even fit my daughter in last minute as we are from out of state. Miranda did a great job on my daughters hand drawn piece. She was very knowledgeable on how to make small changes so that the tattoo would look even better. So happy we chose this shop for my daughters first tattoo!

100000/10 recommend Ben for your tattoo. I was originally booked with another artist, but I’m so happy that I ended up with him instead. I got a very sentimental tattoo to remember my late father, and he used such kindness and care. The design is beautifully done (I like it even more than I imagined!), and it didn’t even hurt too much.

Fabian did a FANTASTIC job on both my and my sister’s tattoos! Will definitely be making the 3 hour drive to have more work done by him. Friendly, great work, and will change whatever is needed to make sure it’s exactly as you want it.

Chris was absolutely amazing! Extremely efficient, professional, cool, and really put a lot of care into the vision I had for my tattoo. I will 100% be going back anytime Im in the area!

Tyler was nothing short of spectacular. The tattoo came out exactly how I wanted and the experience was just as wonderful. I traveled 2.5 hours for this is do not regret it at all. Dont hesitate to book with him!

Love this place! Very clean and professional. They have quite a few artists with a wide array of specialties. My husband and I just got matching tattoos for our anniversary. JohnyX was great to work with and had fantastic ideas about the art, arrangement and colors. Definitely would recommend.

Highly recommend getting your next tattoo with Chase @ SLC Ink Tattoo. He was incredibly easy to work with and did an incredible job on my newest tattoo. He took the time to make sure my idea came out just how I wanted it and was always respectful of any changes needed. It was by far the least painful tattoo Ive ever gotten and the healing process has been a breeze. Chase was incredibly light handed and yet still very fast, it only took about 4.5 hours for my large full color piece. I hope to work with him again in the future! The shop itself was also great to work with, the staff were all nice and very helpful. They have a cool system to make sure you get hooked up with the artist best suited to your needs and style if you are not sure who to book with. Everything was clean and professional yet still very comfortable. Its easy to get to and they seemed to have very flexible schedules which I appreciated as I have a very busy schedule myself. Seriously check them out!

This was my second tattoo with Maddie, and she did an amazing job making it a great experience for my friends birthday! She is so personable and has amazing attention to detail. She made sure that the tattoo was exactly what we wanted.

Rafael is so nice, patient with your requests and good! The staff is super quick at replying and scheduling was easy. I got thin fine line tattoos in cursive and price was reasonable. Also got a free touch up. I initially wanted to see how the font would look like before I went in but Rafael did a good job of matching it with the reference pics I sent him. Overall I am happy and would definitely get a tattoo from him again.

I had my tattoo done by Tyler, and I honestly cant say enough good things about the experience. He is a very kind and considerate artist, making sure youre comfortable at all times and giving his absolute best. My sister and I got matching tattoos, and he treated us both so, so well. SLC Ink, in general, is a great business to communicate with when it comes to pricing, designs, and getting in touch with the artists. I have no complaints! Will definitely consider Tyler for more tattoos, in the future. :)

Miranda is amazing! From the very beginning of the appointment to the walking out the door, she was kind. I did one of her Friday the 13th/ October flash sale tattoos and I would have to say that it is one of my favorites! This shop is absolutely impeccable. I would definitely love to come back and get another tattoo from here in the future!

An all around incredible experience. Staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. We were an out of town group of friends looking to do walk-ins and we did just that. Got my very first tattoo the other day by Nate and couldn’t be happier! Not only was it not as painful as I thought but Nate explained the process very thoroughly and was very easy to talk to! Plus did an amazing job on my tat! Would 100% recommend!

Absolutely loved getting a tattoo for the second time from this studio! Rafael was my artist, and was efficient, kind, and talented with the design!My *one* complaint is unrelated to the artist and the staff; Because my recent tattoo was on my chest and I had my shirt off for a little while, I got cold while on the table receiving my tattoo, so the one thing I would have changed was the internal temperature of the studio. Its a super minor thing and could just be a my-case thing, haha!

Miranda is highly recommended! Got a few small lines on a couple fingers and had a dope experience. Mine were so quick and easy that she even had time to edit a design and give my homie a tattoo as well within the same session. I will for sure be back soon to get some more ink from her.

I really enjoyed Chris as my tattoo artist, he designed and executed my tattoo wonderfully. I needed a slight touch up but it was complimentary within 1 year of receiving my tattoo. I would come again and would recommend Chris to any friends and family who may be looking for a tattoo.

Kaitlyn was very comfortable, kind and a great person to get my first tattoo by! She let me reposition a couple of times to make sure it was in the best place. The tattoo did not hurt at all, she has a light touch. I am so incredibly happy with this tattoo and so happy she was my artist. She is amazing and I would highly recommend her!

I sent descriptions and photos of the tattoo I wanted and it was disseminated to several artists. 5 artists stated they were interested in tattooing my wishes as described. I then referenced the work each artist had on their social media accounts and chose Jacki based on her use of negative space and shading detail. My appointment was booked under the impression that she knew what I wanted and was capable and READY to tattoo me on the date of my appointment. Jacki did not reach out or have any discussions about my request. I showed up to my appointment and Jacki did not have any drawings or stencils prepared and sat down for a consultation with me and stated she did not do “characters” and could tattoo an image from online, which is not what I paid and scheduled with her for. She should not have been suggested for my tattoo, or accepted to tattoo me as she was not equipped or interested in doing what was requested. I don’t like the poor online submission tattoo request process and I am not confident in the artist selection at this company.

Miranda is an amazing artist and does great work! She is extremely gentle and takes wonderful care of her clients! She has done 2 of my pieces so far and I hope to have more of her beautiful work on my body soon!

Its went great! Raina is an amazing artist and very personable. I love the fact I am able to sit there and B.S. with her while shes working. Makes the experience much better. I worked with Hans and he created me a beautiful custom design for my first tattoo. His pricing was reasonable, his studio had an amazing ambiance and his work was clean and professional. My tattoo turned out excellent. I would 100% recommend him to anyone looking for an experienced artist who does abstract black/color tattoos.

Such an awesome experience! It was my first tattoo and i felt super welcome. Raina did my tattoo and she did so good. I even passed out and she got me water and something to eat after making sure i was okay. Definitely going back for my next one!

So we went in to inquire about getting tattoos and instead of speaking to a tattoo artist to find out more we are sent a text message to give them the information of what we want and one of their artists would call us back. Sorry but if I am going to have something put on my body I want to speak to a tattoo artist not play a game of emails back and forth.Edit after your responseLike I said if I am going to put something permanent on my body I need to speak to the artist. I already had the design so 15 minutes to speak a tattoo artist would not have hurt since they were all talking and laughing with each other when we were there and not working with a customer.

I was searching online for a nice local tattoo parlor to get a new small piece done and came across the page for SLC ink. It was easy to book a appointment online and put down a deposit (which ultimately went towards the price of the tattoo).Coming to the shop the day of I was not disappointed. The shop is clean, the receptionist was friendly and helpful with getting checked in. Kaitlyn was amazing. She made sure to come out and check the design with me prior. Then during the process she kept the line of communication open in case I felt dizzy or anything. In the end the tattoo came out exactly how I envisioned/wanted it. I super recommend!

Ive gone to two different artists to get two similar tattoos and they were both professional, clean and fast! Rafael was attentive, did awesome detail and was professional and fun. Love coming here! Ive seen numerous designs from Kaitlyn, Raina and Rafeal and all are incredible.

I really enjoyed my experience here! I got my first tattoo here with Jordii and he made it non-stressful and easy; he is an amazing artist. The receptionist makes sure that you happy with what you want and is also really funny. Overall SLC Ink Tattoo is an amazing spot and if youre tatted up or just getting your first one, I fully recommend this place! And my second time was also amazing. My rose looks really good! They have the best line up of artists.

Miranda did a wonderful job on a memorial tattoo for my grandparents. The tattoo process was nice and easy. A couple of months later and my tattoo has healed beautifully. I would recommend Miranda to everyone!

This place is the best I’ve been to. The artists and receptionists there are super friendly and helpful. My artist was Deb and I absolutely enjoyed my time getting tattooed by her. She went above and beyond my expectations for the tattoo I was looking to get, very detail oriented and it fit the concept I was thinking of. Although this wasn’t my first tattoo, I was still nervous but she is just such a genuine and amicable person that my anxieties pretty much disappeared. She makes you feel right at home throughout the whole process. It’s great to know that there are super talented artists out there who are also personable. Definitely looking forward to my next tattoo with her in the future! ^_^

I was lucky to book an appointment with Luz, Maddie, and Jackie when my sister and mom visited me. I am amazed with the quality of art and rapport they were able to provide. Every time my family comes to visit we plan on booking with them again.

My first ever tattoo was done by Raina! I cannot recommend her enough! Professional, polite but also super rad! She helped me get the design right, answered a litany of questions, and also even resized the tattoo so it sit just right on my arm! I could see this being the first of many! I came in as a walk-in and I am really happy with my experience. I came with my tattoo idea drawn (pretty poorly, I am no artist... haha) and Brooks took my idea and totally perfected it. He was honest with me about size, placement, etc. which I appreciated. He was really nice and made me feel comfortable. I love the way my tattoo turned out, and I honestly couldn’t imagine it looking any better. The shop was really clean and the people at the front desk were super friendly.

Went in for a small tattoo with Jaylin. Everyone was very nice, it was clean, she was ready for me the minute I got there. She made sure I knew that if I didn’t like anything about the placement she didn’t mind moving the stencil even 1 mm to make sure I liked it! I had been to other shops that made me feel rushed, or stupid because I wanted something they didn’t like. I felt comfortable and welcome at SLC Ink. Booking was easy and clear online. Went in for a small couples tattoo and saw Kristen. Her care, attention, and personality was everything you want a tattoo experience to be. I felt heard and she understood my vision completely. Her energy was contagious. Kristen picks up what you’re putting down and provides a beautiful experience. I’d love to have another piece done by her. She’s got a cool story too! Ask her about it.

I just recently got my first tattoo done by lilly and it is beautiful. I’m so happy with her work and the experience. I got it done a week ago and seriously haven’t gone a single day without a compliment on how beautiful the tattoo is and her detailing. Keely is the most amazing artist. She did my first tattoos - handwritten messages from my grandparents and she did them thoughtfully and beautifully! I’ve wanted my grandparents handwriting as my first tattoos for as long as I can remember and she was the perfect artist to do something so special for me! Keely is friendly, great to talk to, thorough about the process, and made getting my tattoos so fun! I’ve already booked more with her! She’s incredible!

I got a 1/4 sleeve done by Lilly, and it turned out very well! She was really helpful in the consultation as well, suggesting tweaks to the design outside of what I had considered! I really appreciated her attention to detail and clear interest in this tattoo from design to execution!Highly highly recommend people give Lillys work a look!...Unfortunately, there were a couple of downsides with the shop. My first appointment was cancelled without my knowledge (allegedly due to a system error.)2 days before my rescheduled appointment, I was told the original artist was no longer available and I had to reschedule a second time with a new consultation.Having to reschedule twice was really annoying and inconvenient, but I am thrilled with the result of Lillys work!Would definitely go back!

Worst tattoo pallor in Salt Lake City. For my fist consulting appointment the guy never showed. After waiting for an hour they finally set me up with a different guy - Johny. I went and met with him and I was super stoked and I just felt great about the whole thing. I’ve been wanting this tattoo for 6 years. We planned something really awesome together. I made the deposit of $100.Well Johny quit and now they won’t give me my deposit back. They have set me up with a gift card but I just want my money back. I’m not getting a tattoo from the studio. It’s more then 30 days out from my original appointment (that they canceled). They said they would set me up with another artist but honestly none of them are what I’m looking for. I feel completely powerless. Please just give me my money back. To everyone wondering if you should get your tattoo here? Don’t. They won’t respect you as a human.Just want to give an update: the response to this review used to have my personal number on it. They posted that without my permission. They doxxed me. I am now getting phone calls for a free PS5 listing on KSL. Going to this studio has cost me $100 plus a bunch annoying phone calls and text messages. I can’t express my anger and frustration enough with how terrible this studio and owner are.I uploaded 3 screenshots documenting the behavior of this studio owner. The owner has a HISTORY of posting people’s personal information online if they leave a negative review

I paid a $150 deposit for artwork up front from one of their artists (Kristen), which I never received, and paid another $150 to book time with another artist at her suggestion after she told me she wasnt able to complete the piece, who then asked for an additional deposit to complete the piece. After i informed him that i had already paid up front, Kristen refused to transfer the funds to him, and he told me that i needed to work it out with her. Im now out $300 and have nothing to show for it. Incredibly unprofessional and disappointing.Go to Dark Arts. Better quality artists and better service.

Had the best first tattoo experience with Kristen! Seriously could not recommend a better artist or shop, I felt so at home and completely comfortable the entire time. Definitely will be telling everybody about her and coming back for more!

Got tattooed by Deb!! This shop is great! It’s clean, friendly and has a great vibe! Everyone here was extremely helpful with everything I needed from filling out paperwork to finishing my tattoo! Deb is fantastic with everything she does! She is extremely loving and friendly! She’s been tattooing my for almost two years now and I’ve even followed her from her last shop. The receptionists here are fantastic. Unlike other shops, they are friendly and always willing to answer any questions. Cam helped me through countless questions with a patient and friendly attitude. My artist was Laura and she is great, too! She designed a unique piece for me that I love. I plan to always come back here for my future tattoos.

I am so upset with Jaylin and the lack of professionalism, I booked my appointment 3 weeks in advance because I am leaving the country, my tattoo was simple but meaningful to represent my grandma’s life (she is is dying from cancer) and I wanted her to see it before she dies, however my appointment got canceled 1 hour prior to the actual appointment, the excuse was “she was running behind”, I understand that things happen but there was no effort on her part to accommodate and respect my appointment.She refused to have a face to face consultation (I even booked that weeks prior too) she said “well your tattoo is pretty straight forward”, so overall she wasn’t respectful of my time or what I wanted from a tattoo artist.It’s sad to think that I’m giving a bad review over something I didn’t get because my time wasn’t respected, because my tattoo wasn’t expensive enough ($300) for her to accommodate her schedule.I will not recommend this shop and I hope they refund me my deposit as they have said because this was in no way my fault.

I booked an appointment with Jaylin after emailing for a quote on the tattoo I wanted. I have 6 other tattoos. Jaylin had done a similar piece before and therefore I was super excited to work with them. The deposit was $80. Jaylins style is amazing and was exactly what I was looking for. The front desk was super friendly and accommodating. They checked me in after I showed them my ID. Jaylin came by not long after to make sure they had drawn up what I had asked for.Jaylin was very accommodating after I had her move the stencil 3 times. They made sure I really liked where the tattoo was placed. They started with a smaller needle to make sure I was ok with the pain. There was a big tv to watch in the back area I was getting tattooed in. Jaylin had a bunch of different drawings on the wall that I would love to come back and get. The tattoo that should have taken 1.5 hours only took them 45 minutes. I was amazed at how fast Jaylin worked on my piece. They made sure I was OK throughout the tattoo and were soo friendly!The finished product is so beautiful. It is cute and detailed and fine and has a lot of character which is exactly what I was looking for! I am so so happy with how the tattoo turned out and will definitely be returning to visit Jaylin again. Such a talented artist!

I originally scheduled an appointment online with Johnyxart today at 2pm. I showed up on time and had to wait 20-30 minutes because he was working on someone else. He asked me to come back at 4 and I did. He still wasnt finished with this persons tattoo. I had to wait another 30 minutes before being told I had to go to a different location to get my tattoo done by someone else. Some money was taken off the amount of my tattoo but overall the beginning of this was absolutely horrible.The only good part was having Jaylin as my tattoo artist. Shes absolutely amazing and did amazing line work! I will definitely be scheduling with her from now on. I was in and out in about 30-45 minutes. She saved this experience for me today. So, I give her a 5 star rating, but would not recommend scheduling with Johny. Thank you for being amazing Jaylin!!

I had the honor to work with Jaylin, not only was she extremely professional during this pandemic nightmare but she was accommodating and communicative throughout the entire process. Most tattoo artists are doing online consultations and even so, Jaylin came up with something perfect. My sister and I got complementary tattoos and even though our appointment was booked in advance I was questioning some of my own ideas. Jaylin reworked them and adjusted the size and placement on both of us without hesitation. She understands the impact and of her work and designs them based off the needs of the customer. What I really appreciated was the amount of care and effort she puts into everyone, regardless of the size or cost. You have her undivided attention. I can’t wait to get a bigger piece done by her!

I have my main artist but I needed a place for smaller projects. Found this place online, checked out some of the artist, and I booked an online appointment (super convenient btw)Went there for the first time today and Ill def be back. Parking is nice theres spots for the customers, they even have a receptionist to check you in and out, and the place is super clean. Its a really chill environment.Also my artist was Jaylin and she did an awesome job! Gave me exactly what I wanted and was super professional

My pals and I came down from Boise for a birthday weekend and decided to get some piercings and tattoos. SLC Ink is one of the best piercing places I’ve been. Raina was the BEST!!! I would recommend her any day to anyone! Fun staff and very professional. I legit almost passed out from a nose piercing bc of my stupid nervous system, but the staff helped me out and made me feel at home lol. Great price too!

Went in today, and Robin did my best friends water color tattoo and she was absolutely amazing! A giant sweetheart, made us laugh the entire time and was completely adorable and amazing. This shop is great. Ive been tattooed her 4x times by 3 different artists and have never had a complaint. The shop is very clean, everyone is respectful and amazing artists, and the pricing is very reasonable. One of my artists no longer works there, but shoutout to the otjer two, Laura and Keely, for some amazing art.

SLC ink has some ridiculously talented artists who are all very personable from my experience. I highly advise checking out either of their locations. I recently got tattooed by one of their guest artists Patrick at the Raventhorn Manor location and it was a wonderful experience. They also agreed to honor a deposit that got a little messed up a few years ago due to double booking, which to me shows that they truly care about their customers experience and happiness. :)

First off this place was so clean and organized! So I was impressed by simply walking through the door. Second I was so nervous to get my first tattoo but Alison made me feel comfortable! I got my rook pierced here in September of last year and it really never healed because it was too shallow. The piercing eventually ripped out of my ear and took the little skin that was holding with it. I was left bleeding with no more earring. What a waste of $65. I went to another piercing place later to get it checked out and they said that it ripped out because the placement was so bad. Do not get your piercings down here….waste of my money

Layne did a great job on my daughters tattoo.This place is very clean and her playlist she has going was great.All told, it was a wonderful experience for my daughters first tattoo and I am sure she will go back for her next.

I got a tattoo done on my shoulder by Ethan and we planned it over Instagram and he was able to fit me in when he had some free time and I am IN LOVE with the tattoo. He had the best designs I’ve ever seen and I would love to get tattooed by him again. Not only was the artist amazing but as soon as you walk into that tattoo shop it has such a welcoming vibe and I will definitely be coming back.

If you need a tattoo, look no further. This place, and everyone that works inside of it is a grade-A bad ass, USDA approved. They sling the sickest ink, and they have the sickest talent this side of the Mason Dixon line. You might think theyre pricey, but its worth it, and we all know what mama says about getting what you pay for! This place is so clean that the last time I went I had to take off my containment suit to get inked. The staff here is always a blast to talk to, and so friendly that you will think youre addicted to tattoos, but youre really just addicted to their personalities. I have been coming here for over 12 months, and Jake takes care of me every time like a straight up G. I dont think I can get a tattoo at another establishment. First off, the customer service was wonderful. Everyone from the receptionist, who I believe was cam, to my artist Burdell made me feel welcome and comfortable especially since I was getting the tattoo while traveling to SLC! The work Burdell did was wonderful and he was very patient with me asking for changes to the drawing. Overall great experience and I would go there again!

I made an appointment for a consultation and that went great she said she would sketch it out for me and go from there and that was on March 15th. On March 30th two weeks later, I messaged her and asked if she had the chance to sketch it out yet no answer I assumed she was busy which is understandable. I messaged her on April 5th 6 days later with a question mark she then messaged back and said yes I had the chance to sketch it out and would send it to me when she got home and here it is March 19th and still nothing. I get tattoo artist are very busy and I get the booking are months out but it really shouldn’t take this long to schedule the appointment.

Ive been tattooed at this shop by artists doing a guest spot on three separate occasions and always think, I gotta book with Hans. Maybe soon. Everything he produces is incredible. The sister shop (Raventhorne) is rad too. Haunted as hell, in a good way. Theyve converted a lovely mansion into a cool tattoo space. Theres studios in the front room, with gorgeous natural light, hard woods and talented artists. Valerie has an eye for tiny details and an angels touch. She makes you very comfortable and is easy to chat with.

The shop is clean and the employees are friendly. This was my first tattoo and I was really nervous. Madison put me at ease and did an amazing job. She is extremely talented! I would recommend this shop and will go back if I want anymore tattoos.

He was awesome, took the time to get them absolutely perfect even though they were small and simple and was straightforward with me about what would look best on my hands. I wanted to get my 3rd tattoo and had been contemplating it for a little more than a year as i didnt know if anyone could do it how i wanted and was honestly pretty nervous just because the small detail was what made the tattoo. i booked an appointment with Jaylin and she KILLED IT. Take your business elsewhere. SLC Ink refuses to take accountability for their artists mistakes and wont refund you the down payment even when its their artists fault. They dont care if their artist stands you up or is late to appointments. They will take your money and give you nothing to show for it. The lack of professionalism and common courtesy here is impressive.

Great experience for my first tattoo! They had a well-kept, professional atmosphere and awesome customer service, while still maintaining that tongue-in-cheek attitude one would expect from a bunch of inked-up punks;) Really, though, they were great at communicating with me beforehand via email & phone, then helping me find an artist (Dom) who totally got my vision of what I wanted done and did an EXCELLENT job. I had some questions on aftercare that I emailed in to them later that day at like 1 am, and I got a response within a few hours! Great shop. I went in with an idea of what I wanted for my tattoo and I had it almost pictured in my head. Harley worked on my design and when it was presented to me it was different than the image I had pictured in my head but that is not a bad thing because it was even better than I imagined. The tattoo didnt take super long. I am super happy with the overall quality of the service here and would definitely recommend it to friends and colleagues and I would definitely be back. Harley killed it. He is an amazing artist.

I had an appointment today for 12:00 pm I had this appointment for over 2 weeks, I got a text from Laura the artist @ 7:30am today, 4 and half hours before I was scheduled to go in, she hurt her back and couldnt do my tattoo. I told her I took the day off from work and was loosing money to get my tattoo she told me to go again and come in and she would do as much as she possibly could...so I was excited again to get my half sleeve started. She calls me back 1 hour before I was suppose to be there and said she just couldnt do it and wanted to reschedule for the 2nd of October. Needless to say I wont be going back so I just went in and got my deposit back and went to Big Deluxe. The staff over there were very professional and easy to work with.ill be be getting my arm worked on in 4 days on Sunday. So if you go to SLC ink I dont recommend her as your artist. The receptionist there was very nice and gave me a $100 gift certificate to come back, I seriously doubt I will...

I went to SLC Ink to get a chest piece done that was going to take around 4 sessions I scheduled 2 months in advanced. When I showed up my artist was late and we didnt get started till an hour and a half after my appointment. Line work was amazing and I am super happy with the way it turned out after the first session. I had a family emergency come up making it so I couldnt go to met next session so I gave them a call (1 week before my next appointment) and said I wasnt going to be able to make it. I was told that they werent able to find my appointment and they said they would figure it out and call me back. That was 4 months ago. When I called again to just get my deposit back ($100) they said they wouldnt be able to refund it because I never finished my sessions. Overall, the tattoo is amazing. The experience however was terrible.

Was super nervous about getting my first tattoo until I met Paige. She was super calm and chill, talked me through the entire process, was excited as I was, and gave me my estimate. I put down a payment and we set up my appointment. Couple days later she texted me a sketch of my tattoo and I was stoked, my ideas were actually drawn to life. Went in not long after that and my first tattoo was complete! Paige was nothing but super professional, and super clean. I’m so glad I had chose her to be my artist.

This company makes you put money down to make a tattoo appointment - makes sense they want you to show up for the appointment. Here is where the rule doesnt make sense....they wont refund your money if the tattoo artist quits and you dont like any of the other artists tattoo styles. If you make a deposit for a specific artist they wont give your money back if that artist quits. Dont put down a deposit because you cant get it back if the company fails to keep that tattoo artist hired. Dont waste your time at this facility. The owner is not friendly

I got tattooed by Allie B a couple years ago at SLC ink(so good I followed her to Heart of Gold for a second one) The reviewer isnt mistaken, the owner Jake is lying because he likes to make up fake online accounts then say horrible things about people taking a knee. Allie is amazing and now works at Heart of Gold if you would like a tattoo shop that is transparent and high quality.

After looking around for months for the right shop and artist I found Ethan here at SLC Ink. I have nothing but good things to say about my experience at SLC Ink. Ethan is an amazing artist and I’m extremely happy with how my tattoo turned out. I got a tattoo from Hans in August. Hes AMAZING with his colors. Very unique style, he likes to make the art his own. If you just want a replica of someone elses tattoo, maybe choose a different artist. I came back the next day to have another quick tattoo. Hans ended up being available. It was the word Brat that he tattooed on me in his own handwriting (also extremely unique).

I wish I had never stepped foot in this shop. They will harass you and do anything they can to prevent negative reviews.About a year and half ago I came to this business to get my first tattoo. Long story short, I jumped through all of their hoops and made an appointment and that appointment wasn’t honored. I left feeling upset and posted a negative review on yelp about my experience. Afterwords I began getting messages, requests and comments from the business, which I ignored because I didn’t really see the point in talking to them, I already had my tattoo done somewhere else and the whole matter was over. Boy was I wrong.A year after I got my tattoo the business owner commented on my review and included my full name, personal email and phone number and address. I told them that putting that information wasn’t professional and I would not be pressured to take down my review. They edited their comment and I thougt the whole mess was over..again.This week I received an email saying that the business owner commented on my review again and, once again included my personal information. I told them again I would not be pressured to take down my review. Then I started getting calls and texts for phoney KSL ads that had my number listed which were posted by what I can only assume is the business owner. The business owner also went out of their way to put my personal info on all of the negative reviews on google reviews.Don’t get your tattoo here. If you have a bad experience and are vocal about it they will harass you, invade your privacy and make you feel unsafe. Please be careful and consider this businesses approach to professionalism and privacy.

Came in on 8-16-20 and got a piece done by Jaylin. It is absolutely amazing and I love it. She is an amazingly friendly artist and very talented. The piece came out better than I had imagined. I would absolutely come back to get more work done here.

Just got my first tattoo here and Im so glad I did. I was a walk-in, although making an appt would have been better.....however, Macoy took me right in and did an amazing job. I’ve been to this shop for multiple tattoos and have had an amazing experience every single time. It’s a super awesome atmosphere filled with a ton of super talented artists! I’ve recommended this place time and time again and will continue to come here for my next pieces for sure!

Jaylin was awesome. She was able to squeeze me in and even texted me to let me know I could come in a little early. The work she did was exactly what I asked for and the extra added touches she did just made it that much better. She was also very professional and comfortable to talk to.

Waited two hours to talk to one of the artist. Told her wanted it on the top of the hand. She stated that she doesnt do hands. Despite having one herself. When politely asking why. I was ignored by her. The other lady answered and offered to schedule an appointment the next day. Lesson schedule a consultation with a rude hypocrite instead of doing walk-ins.

Ive had two 4 hour sessions with Taj, working on a custom piece. Both times Ive been impressed by her attention to detail, the cleanliness of the shop, and how much Ive enjoyed talking to her. The entire process from booking to payment was seamless. Ive gotten answers to any questions once asked, both before, during, and after.

I am sure there are many talented artists here (mine included), but I would highly recommend getting your tattoo elsewhere due to the complete lack of professional and borderline abuse you will face from the owner if you have any kind of problems with your tattoo. Quite honestly, Im fearful of even writing this review for fear that the owner of the shop will invade my privacy again, but I think it is important that prospective clients know what they may be up against in coming to this shop.I got my first tattoo here about six weeks ago after searching through several shops because my artists portfolio was stunningly beautiful. The tattoo was very painful, as expected with an ankle tattoo, but since I had the tattoo I have experienced chronic pain in my foot and the tattoo has been taking forever to heal. Since it was my first tattoo, I was concerned about this and reached out to my tattoo artist to get her advice on what to do. I was dismayed by how defensive she got since I was already pretty anxious about getting the tattoo to begin with. Now thats when the real hell began. Within a week after I got my tattoo, I was receiving text messages and e-mails from individuals who said my contact information was being posted on Google reviews for this tattoo shop. Concerned, I went to check the reviews and there were a handful of negative reviews being posted about my tattoo artist about her cleanliness/sanitation. Now I never personally witnessed her being unsanitary, but reading these freaked me out, so I messaged her about it to see what was up. At that time, she accused me of writing the reviews myself, which made no sense because I only knew about the reviews because I was getting e-mails and texts from people about them. But the worst part was the OWNER of the shop was posting my full name, telephone number, e-mail address AND a picture of my drivers license in response to each of these negative reviews. It got so bad, the owner linked to my Facebook and Instagram and started calling me profane, derogatory names. I e-mailed and called the shop for weeks, insisting that I didnt write these negative reviews and practically begging that they take down my contact information, to which the owner proceeded to gaslight me the entire time pretending like it wasnt happening, because he was practically obsessed with the notion that I was writing them (apparently no one else could possibly have beef with my tattoo artist and be writing these reviews). I eventually had to consult with a lawyer and threaten to pursue a lawsuit to get them to take my contact information down, which they FINALLY did (which is why you wont see it in the reviews below - even though theyre STILL making references to me in these reviews - unbelievable.) Its not over though - because now my phone number is being posted all over KSL ads and Im receiving text messages and calls all day long thanks to the owner posting my contact information on the internet (and who knows, it might even be him doing it).Im not sure in what world it is appropriate or even legal for the owner of a licensed business to post a clients personal contact information and drivers license on the internet, and then proceed to stalk their Facebook and Instagram and insult them publicly. I am utterly appalled by the lack of professionalism and abuse Ive experienced by this tattoo shop. That being said, I am deeply grateful for one of the tattoo artists, Laura, and the receptionist (I believe), Cam, for comforting me and showing me compassion when I came into the shop last week literally crying my eyes out after how much harassment and torment I was receiving over the last several weeks and begging them to help me make it stop. My tattoo artist also expressed compassion and apologies for the way I was treated which I really appreciated. However, between the chronic foot pain Ive developed and the false accusations and abuse Ive faced from this shop, this experience made the prospect of getting another tattoo quite literally traumatic. I got my first tattoo for my 18th birthday here and it was an awesome job and the tattoo artist, whos name I dont remember at the moment, was VERY easy to work with and I was open to all the ideas she had and in the end the tattoo was SO worth it. I love it and it was very clean and beautifully detailed. I will be going back again.

Awesome comfortable experience. Laura’s line game is on point!! I have some other tats with simple lines that are nowhere near up to par with her work. It was a simple walk in and I left with a perfect work of art on me.

Great customer service from the start. I went in with an idea of what I wanted and Siri drew up an amazing tattoo. Clean environment with cool artwork on the walls, quality tattoos with clean lines! Definitely going back!

Took me forever to decide where to get a tattoo because it was my first one and no artists really convinced me enough to trust something permanent but then this place I actually had a hard time deciding who I wanted to trust. In the end Keely did an amazing job and I am super happy. Cant wait for the next one

I paid $20 for a consultation appointment in Oct 2019, scheduled for March 2020. COVID hit the week before the appointment and it got cancelled. They have since not rescheduled and told me I wont have an opportunity until 2021 at the earliest but they refuse to refund my $20. I understand no refund policies, but that should apply if you ACTUALLY GET TO HAVE YOUR CONSULTATION. I want my $20 back. Its such a joke that they would rather have an extremely negative review than refund $20 but I guess thats the kind of business this shop does.

This was my first tattoo, I had a great experience, Cam and Burdell were spectacular, they were very accommodating and made me feel extremely comfortable, plus the work by Burdell was exactly to my specifications. I recommend this tattoo parlor to anybody, and everybody.

My tattoo was done by EthanSLC INK TATTOO did really well in communicating with me and and answering any questions I had.Ethan did really well on my tattoo, understanding what wanted and communicating with me. Most importantly the tattoo turned amazing.

Jake took the idea I had for my half sleeve and turned it into a master piece. I absolutely love how he brought my flowers to life. This was a dedication piece for my sisters and my mom, they all are proud to tell people about my artwork. Jake is amazing.

I came here to get some ink on my knuckles. I was a little sad when McKay called and said it wouldnt work but I waa happy he was honest about it. I ended up getting ink on my forearm and LOVE LOVE LOVE it. Im actually glad I ended up having to move it. He was gentle, nice, very professional. I actually couldve fallen asleep, didnt hurt. Cant wait till it heals as there is some gray and its gonna look awesome!Definitely want to get more ink done by McKay when Im back in town.
