Amazing experience. I had Erik as my artist and he made me feel welcomed. I came last minute and he spent his night drawing exactly what I wanted. The next day he spent 20 hours in one session so I could have the tattoo complete. He never complained and was a positive vibe the whole time. Even though the tattoo took awhile Erik never compromised detail and still delivered the best realism tattoo I had ever seen. Im grateful for the experience and Erik will be the only guy I go to from now on.

This was our second visit to Above All Tattoo. I went in with my (adult) kids to get family 🌶️ tattoos & we were SO happy to have Tony as our artist! He was our friend Sidnies go to & she raved about him! He did an amazing job, was such a NICE guy, and we couldnt be happier with the outcome. Tony is our new go to artist and we will definitely travel back for new ink soon!

This has to be the best tattoo Ive ever had done its so beautiful and the writing ✍🏼 is exquisite and it wont be the last one I ever get. They are great they treat you like family. The place is very clean and theyre very professional. I would recommend them over 100 times. My son and daughter-in-law went there. My daughter-in-law got a portrait of her mother and its so beautiful and my son is getting some work done on his head that is so very beautiful very beautiful. My sister and I got our first matching tattoos with Mau and he was the best! He was so friendly and easy going and made the process very comfortable and stress free for us. Mau did such a good job that our mom also got her first tattoo with him. Cannot recommend him enough! He also has great taste in music :)

I went to Above All Tattoo looking to just get a quick flash tat with a friend. Erik was our artist, and he was able to quickly customize the flash tat and make it special. The artist was skilled, friendly, and fast. The shop is very clean and comfortable. The tattoo itself came out perfect. Pricing was also incredibly reasonable given the skill of the artist. I would say Above All is THE spot in Pacific Beach if you are looking for a new piece of ink!

My SO and I came into Above All Tattoo for some Walk in tattoos. While Kyle did my SOs tattoo I had the pleasure of working with Alex. He made everything so easy & took his time to perfect what I wanted. During the process we were able to share stories and a couple laughs to make the time go by. Overall a 10/10 experience.

Got my very first tattoo here and Mau took really good care of me. Immediately got the iPad out and allowed me to talk through what I thought I wanted. Seeing it drawn out showed me I didn’t really like what was in my head but Mau worked really well with me for this small and simple first tattoo. He was quick and efficient and I love it!

I had a great experience with Mau. I’m absolutely in love with my tattoo it’s beautifully done. The shop was clean, welcoming and very professional. I highly recommend getting your next tattoo here. Alex was fantastic. My best friend and I were visiting San Diego for a girls weekend and we decided to get tattoos to commemorate the trip. There was a theme we kept coming across in our adventures there, which was carousels. We walked in and asked for him to draw up a design of a carousel horse and he happily took to the challenge. It was exactly what we were envisioning. We didn’t have a lot of time so we kept it basic, but we may or may not have plans to go back in the future to add a little color and bring them more to life. 10/10 recommend visiting Alex and having him bring your vision to life.

This was my first tattoo, and I have to say it was Such a great experience getting a tattoo with Mau! The quality of the tattoo was excellent, and establishment was very professional helping me with any question I had!Beside the tattoo, Mau and the other artists are super easy going laid back guys with such fun stories. I went in for my first tattoo at around 1 am with my friend with a vague idea of what I wanted to get. We talked to Erik for about 40 minutes going over different designs and sizes, and he was super patient and understanding the whole time. My tattoo came out great thanks to Erik! He also helped me go over how to take care of it since it was my first tattoo.

This was my 2nd time at this shop first tattoo. Both experiences were great, and worth the travel from Sacramento.Tony is very professional and talented. I will definitely be making the trip down to get another tattoo soon.

My wife and I were in Diego for our honeymoon and wanted matching tattoos. Went to Kipper with our idea and he designed exactly what we were looking for. Hes a cool dude and we had alot in common and it made the experience that much easier. Highly recommend Kipper for anyones tattoo work. We got married on 02/04/2024. Got my very first tattoo here and will be coming back in the future. The staff is really nice and welcoming and were able to fit me in their schedule as a walk in. The laidback environment was really nice and honestly calmed down the nerves I was feeling. Kyle did a great job at executing the design I showed him.

I was super nervous because this was my first tattoo and i didn’t have an appointment or any idea what i wanted but i walked in and it was super easy. My tattoo artist was Tony and he helped me pick out something i liked, pricing was pretty fair for the quality. i brought my friend with me and she was allowed to sit next to me the whole time. the tattoo took 30-45 mins, it was an easy process. Tony walked me through all his actions during the actual tattoo so i always knew what was going on. When it was over i got to ring the first time tattoo bell, overall it was a really cool experience. He also told me that if there was any chance it did not heal right or i accidentally affected the healing process, i could come back and get a free touch up. will definitely be back for more tattoos in the future.

Above all tattoo far exceeded my expectations on a “walk in” appointment! Highly recommend!!My son & I were vacationing in California for the week and on our last day, we spontaneously decided to get matching tattoos! We picked them from google with the many years of experience being high on our wish list. Within 5 minutes Tofu drew up a tat based on our desires picked from various Pinterest ideas. It was stress free, reasonable price for a colored tattoo and a wonderful experience that we will look back on to commentate our trip down route 1 together!! Big thanks to Mau for gentle, artistic hands and wonderful conversation, giving me a small piece of his tattooing history! Big thanks to Tofu for his creative design! My husband and I walked in looking to get matching but different tattoos representing our home towns for our honeymoon. Tony created the perfect designs and was so professional, patient and kind. Me and my bestfriend were on vacation and we talked about getting tattoos and found this place close to where we were staying. Soon as we walked in reggae music was on felt like i was at my house lol vibe was amazing. Tony took such great care of me so easy to talk to him did exactly what i wanted. can’t wait to go back!

Alex did an amazing job i was definitely nervous and when i told him my idea of what i wanted he made it even better i felt bad cause the place he tattooed made my leg twitch and he was reassuring definitely a great person felt comfortable and safe definitely coming back for more of his work :))

Took us in when it was late, got my first tattoo by Alex Lobos. I couldnt be happier with it. Alex elaborated with me and made it the best it could be. He kills it in traditional ink, cant wait to visit again and have him add to it. Good price and good vibe. You cant help, but tip him what he deserves.

Absolutely killer tattoo!Came in because I had the center rose for a few years and wanted to make it larger. Kyle was pumped about being able to create his own design to fit what i envisioned. 3 days and only a single draft sketch later, I walked out with a badass piece of art that we both absolutely loved. Highly recomend this spot, highly recomend Kyle, and I hope I can come back around whenever Im in the area!

I was recommended to Tony by a friend, he was not only personable but very patient with me deciding where i wanted the placement. My guy tony took my boyfriend and myself in and drew up our designs quick! his work came out delicate and beautiful. Tonys color work and soft lines made the design of my partners tattoo 10000% better. He was awesome and very very helpful as well as a blast to talk to while he worked on the both of us!! We walked out of the shop so happy with our new tattoos, and still admire them everyday since haha!!

My sister and I did a walk-in to each get a tattoo. The location was super easy to find and the artists were able to get us in right away! Both my sister and I were able to get our tattoos done simultaneously which was super nice. Niko completed my tattoo and I love it! He did a great job and explained the aftercare to me so I knew exactly how to care for my tattoo! I will definitely revisit the shop when I want my next tattoo!

I went in and saw Chop to get a watercolor tattoo. It was my first tattoo but he made it super easy. I reached out to him the night before and he saw me first thing the next morning. When I got there he was ready to go and the whole process was great. He made me feel very comfortable and at ease. The aftercare information was also really easy to follow and even though it is still healing, I am really happy with the tattoo. I would definitely recommend him if you are looking to get a tattoo.

Arjun did an amazing job! He was super friendly and easy going, didn’t mind when I had to change my mind on sizing and even the most intricate details and had to restencil the design. Amazing patience and an even more amazing artist. He free hand drew mountains to expand on an existing tattoo and it literally could not be more perfect. Will be seeing Arjun ASAP for more work! 10/10 recommended! Amazing work, fair pricing.

I had a lone wolf tattoo and Joe made a perfect sketch.. The photo I shared was not of good quality, Joe corrected all those and gave a well bordered sketch.The tattooing took 2.5 hours and it was accurate and highly detailed.. It had the perfect finish that I was expecting for :)Thanks Joe!!

I got a second lobe piercing and a cartilage piercing from Scooter and I absolutely love it! I had a lot of questions going into the appointment and Scooter answered every single one and was really great to talk to. The piercings were quick and easy, I didnt feel nervous at all, and I love how they turned out. Will definitely be going back for any future piercings :)

So I went in on Easter and got an awesome tattoo done by Chop. Super great guy throughout the whole process. He really took the time to make sure the lines would be as straight as possible and the overall tattoo exactly how I want it. Awesome experience with Danny piercing my Helix. He was super patient when at the last second, I changed my jewelry to better suit where the future earring would sit. Went to this shop as a walk in. They were happy to tattoo and didn’t make me feel like I was making them stay later than they planned as most shops do. Skoobie took my design, helped with sizing and placement. The line work was AMAZING and no blow outs with a solid thin line. Healed well and the ink has stayed evenly with the care he suggested. Would def return to him when I visit SD again

I had Alex Lobos as an artist and he was phenomenal. I was a walk-in, and I wanted a tattoo of the word Darling on my shoulder for my grandmother. He didn’t have his iPad that day but he created a beautiful font by hand, which made it even more special to me. He was so friendly and we chatted the whole time. I love my tattoo, and I’m so appreciative of Alex, who made the experience great.

I was looking for my first tattoo and got a beautiful tattoo done by Mau. I was originally at SD Tattoo before this and I was told my small arm tattoo would be $600. As a first timer I kind of figured my tattoo wouldn’t have costed that much. I came to Above All, walked in about two hours to close and had the best experience. I paid $200 and got the most beautiful tattoo I have ever seen. I will be coming back to Mau for all of my tattoos. He did exactly what I wanted, flawlessly, I am very happy.

Kipper was awesome! I was only in San Diego for a short time and he booked me within a few days notice. I gave him an idea of what I was looking for and he drew up a beautiful piece in 15 minutes. It was a rib placement, and he was very gentle and fast. I’d go back whenever I’m in the area again, highly recommend!!

Tony went above and beyond to customize the perfect hummingbird tattoo for me. He was so friendly and patient with me, my idea, sizing, and helped me choose the perfect location on my arm. I am SO HAPPY with my tattoo. Tony did such an incredible job using his own unique techniques and creating a beautiful black & white photo-realistic tattoo. It turned out better than I could have ever imagined and it healed perfectly. He’s also just a lovely good hearted human with awesome energy. 12/10 recommend! I went into the shop for a labret piercing and Scooter helped me out. Very easygoing guy and was very attentive to detail, which was great because I was fixing an old piercing that was in the wrong position. It’s now been a few weeks and I love my piercing! Great placement and the healing process is very easy. Will definitely come back to get more piercings and tats!

Huge shout out to Scooter at Above All Tattoo...I was recommended to Above All by a waitress at El Prez so they were already off to a good start. This was a spontaneous nose piercing that I had been thinking about getting for the longest time. Quick and easy walk-in, waited for about 5 minutes after signing the forms and I was ready for my piercing. Scooter took his time to make sure I was happy with the placement even though I still relied on him to use his professional opinion on what would look best.Boom! I was pierced and feeling good. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is looking to get a piercing. I walked in feeling a little nervous because I have the worst fear of needles but the staff made me feel totally comfortable. Scooter, my piercer, did a fantastic job placing my piercing and making sure that I was happy with the placement on both my ears and my nose. He also made me feel super comfortable and was super friendly, taking a short break when I needed one. I will definitely be coming back here.

So my husband and I took our first vacation together as bf and gf to San Diego, we came across Above All Tattoo and decided we get out first tatts. We throughly enjoyed our time there. 6 years later now as husband and wife we came back to San Diego on our honeymoon with full intentions on going back to Above All Tattoo. We were blown away with how our tattoos came out. My artist Alex is so talented and wonderful, he kept comfortable the entire time. My piece he designed went past my expectations. My cousin and I walked into Above All with a pretty short window to get a tattoo since I was visiting from out of town and had a flight that day. Kurt worked with us right away, he was super cool, wicked friendly and accommodating. He was able to come up with the exact pieces we wanted on the fly. I came as a walk-in on my 18th birthday and got my first tattoo, Niko made sure I liked the size of the design and the placement. I’ve been trying to get the other side of my nose pierced for awhile now and every time I’ve tried to go to a shop they’ve always been closed or their piercer wasn’t in. I called Sideshow and he suggested I go a couple feet down the street to Above All and ask for Scooter. I’m so glad I did that because now I have a new favorite shop that I will go to anytime I want a piercing or tattoo done. To start with, they took me as a walk-in without hesitation. Already 5/5. They asked me what it was I want done and the immediate response was “let’s do it!” I absolutely loved the enthusiasm, so this pumped me up. Now the actual piercing process — Scooter was INCREDIBLE! I can tell he’s very serious about pleasing his customers because he really took the time to make sure that everything was perfect with my piercing. I have a hoop on one side of my nose and wanted a stud on the other and he really went above and beyond to make sure the placement was perfect and even. He’s also super friendly, funny, and professional! He made me feel very comfortable the whole time. He even gave me a brand new and beautiful hoop for the other side of my nose that looks SO much better with my new piercing than my old hoop. Scooter definitely knows what he is doing and I will 100% go back to get more piercings from him. Overall 10/10 experience. Thank you Scooter and thank you Above All!

I came to Above All Tattoo as a nose piercing walk-in. I was greeted at the door by Scooter and seen immediately, no wait! I had previously gotten my nose pierced at a different shop and didn’t like the placement of the piercing as it was too far forward on my nose, just wouldn’t heal, and overall just a bad piercing experience. I let Scooter know this and he was extremely understanding and descriptive throughout the whole process and really made sure and cared about getting it in the right spot. He marked my nose numerous times and let my check out the placement before proceeding and was super knowledgeable about what would look fitting for my face/nose. The piercing itself was done with the utmost care and I highly recommend coming by to see Scooter if you are looking to get any piercings done! He is super sweet and caring and his work is amazing :) If I could give more than 5 stars I would!

Scooter is excellent … I have taken all my kids for their ear piercings and he was able to fix my older daughters first ear piercing. He takes great pride and he’s particularly detailed and precise which is essential when you are doing something as permanent as a piercing.

We were referred by their sister store (also very nice people) and walking in the door the environment was super comfortable and the staff was so friendly. Pricing was totally reasonable and the place was clean and inviting. Scooter took care of me and was great! Took his time in looking at my ear and making sure we put the piercing in a good spot. He was really kind and kept me informed on what he was doing the whole time. It turned out my conch did not need to be repierced and he was honest about not needing to charge for the service, just the jewelry.I highly recommend getting a piercing here!
