I had a consultation with Julie for microblading and lip blush. I was super nervous about it but she is so friendly and made me feel at ease. She took my photo and marked up where the microblading strokes would go and outlined the lips. We discussed in detail what I wanted to achieve and pre/post care. Her artistic style, knowledge and her aim for a natural look really made me feel comfortable. I am booked now for both in May and cannot wait to see the results. I will follow up with a review and pics after the appointment.I finally had my appointment for Feather Nano and Lip Blushing this past Sunday and I absolutely love it. I was really nervous about the pain, since I am a weakling when it comes to that, but I was surprised at how painless it was. Only a few spots were tender but totally doable. My brows and lips are still healing but so far I am super happy with how they turned out. Julie is a great listener and was informative step by step to make sure I had the shape I was looking for. Cannot wait to see the healed results.

Julie is amazing and I love my new brows. I wanted a very natural look because I don’t wear a lot of makeup. She picked the perfect color for my complexion and also did completely lines, no shading. They look so natural and I’m so happy with the results.

Julie did the 1st session on my Lip Blushing 4 days ago. I couldn’t be happier with my new lip color. I go back for my 6 week touch up in October. I would definitely recommend her for anyone who is interested in getting Lip Blushing done. She was very professional. She listened to what color and shape that I was hoping for and blended 3 colors together to reach that desired shade. Julie has been an extreme pleasure to work with, from start to finish! Booking an appointment was easy and thorough. She made sure to ask the right questions so that expectations are set properly. After my first appointment, Julie noticed that my left brow was not taking the henna pigment as well as the right brow (due to previous PMI) and offered for me to come back to do a touch up for free. The next day she redid both brows and her technique to use a darker shade on the left brow, worked great! Julie has all the right tools, knowledge and passion to take care of your brows needs! She has an extensive background in makeup which makes the color theory portion of the class very special and something you probably will not get with another instructor. She not only was a celeb lead makeup artist for many years but she aided in the Development of hundreds of foundation colors. She explains how to color match VERY WELL. This is important for any Lip Blush artist who wants their work to stand apart from others.Julie is also diligent in teaching TECHNIQUE. She does not want anyone leaving her class feeling like they haven’t learned much. This won’t happen in Julie’s Class!!

I have very naturally thin eyebrows so I went in for a microblading consultation. Julie attentively listened to how I currently feel about my brows and what I wanted my ideal brows to be.I wanted my brows to still look like my natural ones - just better! She kept in line with my natural shape but made my brows fuller and darker. Due to my thin hair, she suggested I do a bit of shading as well, to make the blading blend in better at the ends, instead of looking so sparse. You know youre in the right place when you want something and they tell you no! I went in for microshading (which was fantastic, but Im still in the healing phase so crossing fingers), but asked for eye liner. Well she didnt say no, she explained why it wouldnt look good or the physics of my particular skin and situation. I prefer a more natural look in my day to day. I am also usually uncomfortable in salons (getting my hair done, manicures, etc.) But after seeing Julies work and realizing how, just having my brows done, would save me so much time (and error haha) I decided to get microblade. Julie Taing is a TRUE brow artist. I got my eyebrows microbladed 3 years ago, and she did wonders correcting my shape. What I highly recommend about her is that she listens to what her clients want and she gfdoesn’t just follow the same stencil for everyone’s face. Her extensive background experience as a makeup artist carries over into her eyebrow artistry skills. She follows the natural shape of your face so that the finished product looks natural, but finessed.I tried the henna procedure with her twice, to make sure I really liked the shape she could accomplish. Both times I absolutely loved my brows, so I fully committed to the ombré brow procedure (combination microblading + shading) and I’ve never been happier with my brows.As a gift, I booked Julie to do henna brows on my sister-in-law for her wedding. She was really happy with the results, and even her own sister and mother were so impressed with Julie’s work they booked her the same week right before the wedding. Goes to show, Julie knows what she’s doing!!

I had an such an amazing experience with Julie and I couldnt recommend her enough to other people who would like to get a lip blush. She is caring, knowledgeable, talented woman who truly cares about her clients and their experiences. I felt like she genuinely cared for me. Her pre and post care were easy to follow. She even provided me an after care kit to use at home. After having a horrible experience with my old lip artist, I truly wished I met her earlier. The experience was totally incomparable.Regarding my lip blush experience- From start to finish was about 2 hours. She applied numbing cream to my lip and constantly applied some medication for my comfort. She applied a cream called arnica which helped my swelling. I didnt even need to take Motrin! I feel more confident about my lips now thanks to Julie!

Julie is amazing-and so professional. I got two services in the same day. My brows microbladed and my lips blushed. Ill review both...LIP BLUSHING:We started with lips per her recommendation and I am glad we did! My lips swelled up more than other clients shes had...but it went down significantly by the time my brows were done. Thank goodness! I didnt think it was painless but definitely manageable and not too intense. If the pain ever got a little too much she put more numbing ointment on which helped significantly. The last part is the most painful just because she needs to be able to see where to put the pigment--at that point its almost over (10-15 mins left) and totally tolerable. In the days after you will experienceDay 1-2 bright lips, slightly swollen, no painDay 3-5 significant peeling (dont pick!) and a contrast of bright and no pigmentThen it is supposed to disappear and reappear within 14 days total, this is because the pigment is settling. Then a touchup is needed in 6-8 weeks which she offers at no charge!!!MICROBLADING:Honestly I have no idea how long the actual blading part was! I fell asleep sooo--little to no pain for me. I woke up and felt it towards the end a bit but at that point it was 70% done. So farDay 1-3 Your brows will look super dark. I am blonde so this was especially noticeable.Day 4 It starts to fade and apparently will fade completely and then reappear (like the Lip Blushing), this is because the pigment is settling. I love the results so far and cant wait for them to completely heal. She offers a complimentary touch up after 6-8 weeks which is awesome.The final selling point to go to Julie is because has a very professional background doing makeup so she knows what will look good color wise and is a pro at symmetry! She checks in throughout the mapping to make sure it is what you had in mind. My experience was GREAT and I highly recommend her.

I just had my follow up session of microblading and shading with Julie. My first session was awesome. I love the results. But my oily skin pushes out the color a little so we went darker and thicker. I just know my results will be even better this time.

So I recently got my brows micro-bladed by Julie. So this review is going to be from the perspective of getting brows micro-bladed as a straight male.First all the basics:Does it hurt?No not really, Ive never gotten any tattoos prior, so wasnt sure what to expect. It did not hurt at all, depending your pain tolerance you may even be able to just fall asleep!Hows the recovery like?Pretty straight forward, just dont sweat and apply some ointment once morning/night and before showering.If youre super active then the thought of not sweating for 7-10 days might seem daunting as personal goals must be set aside, but this is a great time to switch gears into other aspects such as just deep stretching, especially passive stretching so no sweating will elicit.Why I did it and should you do it?So the thought of getting my brows bladed (when they were never shaped, plucked or anything of the sort prior) took me the edges of some internal resistance.Mostly some fears surfaced of what others may think, and will I end up looking feminine?So two factors:I decided to go through with it because I wanted to try it out and have it be solely my decision whether I like it after having tried it. I wanted to get them originally because I noticed that brows play a huge role in communicating emotion, not sure what I mean? Try looking at Mr or Mrs potato head without any eyebrows and figure out what they are feeling.Secondly, Julie did an excellent job of shaping my brows according to my goals (masculine and natural/full). They look very natural, Ive honestly looked closely into the mirror just to see where the microblade start/end in comparison with my actual brow hairs and I cant even tell, thats how natural it looks.Something that Julie does in order to get an edge closer to naturalness is each stroke/blade mark is unique and theyre not all uniform. A lot of bladers only do the uniform look and while I cant speak for what women like, I think a 100% exact look (which Julie can do upon request) isnt what I wanted, in my opinion it looks too artificial.So how did it turn out?It turned out great! My brows look masculine, natural and was exactly what I wanted.Long story short:I highly recommend Julie if youre thinking about getting your brows done, youll be in very good hands; pre, during and post process. Especially if youre a guy and on the fence!

Julie took the time to explain the process beforehand, her website was very good for prep. Her description of what would happen after the procedure was right on the money and helpful in understanding changes.
