Artist was Ray and he’s one of the coolest and nicest people I’ve ever met. My husband and I both got tattoos and they came out beautifully. Definitely will be coming back!!

My sisters and I decided last minute to get a tattoo. The guys in this shop accommodated us and were able to get our tattoos completed. The cost was just right as well. This was a fun experience, everyone was extremely nice and fun. Extremely clean shop. Highly recommend and we will shop in again when we are back in San diego.

This place is super duper rad. The workers/artists there are sooooo welcoming and sweet, did not feel uncomfortable once. They were very attentive and helpful, as well as reassuring. Got my very first tattoo here and Im so glad this is the place I came to! My tattooist name was Ray, hes the best B-) He made sure everything was perfect which was awesome, very friendly, and super good at his job.

Pierre was my artist. He gave me the exact tattoo I wanted. He finished the whole piece in one session. Every detail came out absolutely spot on. Super detailed piece and it came out flawless! Thanks Pierre 🙏🏼🙏🏼

These guys are amazing! The owners, Kim and John, are truly wonderful people. They always make me feel welcome, and all the artists are truly professionals and fun to work with. Ill definitely be going there again when I want more work done.

I brought my daughter to get her eyebrow pierced, and the staff made us feel right at home. Pierre, the piercing artist, wasnt scheduled to work that day, but he came in on his day off just to do my daughters piercing. It was a truly rewarding experience. Thank you for making my daughter’s 18 birthday memorable with the special birthday frozen dessert.

Ray took really good care of me even though I came last minute . I got a wedding band & the work was amazing. really good price for the work. Definitely coming back.

I totally recommend American Tattoo shop. The Vibe / energy was on point. From Kenberly the owner, Heather, and Ray the tattoo artist it was a love experienc. They showed my son and I love 🙏🏽 . I am a Reiki master, so energy is Huge with me. If you’re gonna have somebody tattoo, your body make sure their energy is good because in a sense they’re branding you with their energy as well. Awesome place.Im not a talkative person. And my tattoo artist Eric made feel very comfortable and like I didnt need talk much. Which makes the experience for me perfect.We just jammed to good music and got few hours work done.Came in for a name on chest and help on idea to fix/add to a tattoo on my arm from a different shop.Eric went above and beyond and his idea for the tattoo on my arm was perfect. It blew me away. Especially since it was adding on to a tattoo i had gotten some where else.Just a awesome 5 star place all around.Good music good people perfect tattoo.Thanks Eric. Kyle and Alisia are amazing, patient, and professional. Kyle helped put in my nose ring that fell out and did not give up until I was happy with it. Alisia was kind and professional on the phone. The shop itself is tidy, clean and sterile. I also got a tattoo 2 years ago from this shop and the experience was amazing. I definitely recommend this tattoo/piercing shop!

Pierre Mohany is an amazing tattoo artist , his work is perfect .We always choose him to do tattoos and piercings to all family members .

My experience here was awesome! These were my first two tattoos and my group and I called for 5 tattoos somewhat short notice and they were right on top of it! Warm welcome from Rusty, who gave us a total run down and was very honest. I got a tattoo from Shawn, who was nice and very helpful. His other works of art looked so sick, so if youre into dark stuff, check him out. They did the tattoos very swiftly and for a very good price. Would recommend and probably will be coming here again.

Went in for a nose piercing and Kim helped me out. Come to find out she owns the shop with her husband, so that was awesome! She was super nice and funny. She made my experience wonderful! ❤️ Thanks Kim!!

Rusty did an amazing job! Him and Claire were very informative and patient. This was my very first tattoo and my nerves were through the roof but this team made it easy and helped design and make my vision a reality. Thank you guys I love my piece and will forever cherish it. If you are looking for a place, especially a first tattoo I highly recommend.

Amazing tattoo shop! My husband and I started coming here for tattoos and both love our tattoo artists. I always go to Claire and he sees Eric. Both are very talented, as are all the artists here, and they always give us exactly what we want. Claire did my very first tattoo on my neck and, even though it was simple, I was pretty nervous. We talked most of the time and it really helped me relax, I barely felt a thing. We have been back many times since- my hubby is working on a sleeve and I’ve been getting varies tattoos here and there. I love bringing an idea in and seeing the direction Claire takes it, she has a really good eye and I always leave super happy. Eric is also crazy talented, and he is Amazing at Nordic designs so it was perfect for my husbands sleeve since he’s wants all Norse mythology. We both highly recommend this shop, they also do piercings if that is what your looking for :)

Walked in and was immediately greeted by a very friendly staff. Josh was the only one working and although he was booked he told me he would stay later to finish my tattoo. His attention to detail is outstanding and is certainly appreciated. Definitely recommend him to anyone and I will be returning shortly myself.

They take walk-ins but also were able to set up an appointment for me as soon as i wanted which was great and set up a touch up appointment. The artist also drew up a custom sketches for my tattoo ideas. All of their artists there are extremely sweet and professional and the shop was extremely clean and i watched them set up for my tattoo and they were sterile and precise. I have also been able to get quite a few piercings and the prices were fair and the jewelry was all good quality.

At 70 years old I got my first ever tattoo and Spike created on my arm exactly what I sent him. Since then he has used his artistry on two others. Highly recommend this shop and Spike!

I went with my friend here a few months back. The artists were all very friendly and they even had some great suggestions for her tattoos design! It came out even better than imagined. I highly recommend this place for anyone who wants a tattoo!

Had a beautiful and amazing back piece session with Justin as my artist. Im completely satisfied. My artist was very talented, worked fast and had a light touch. Very professional and yet a chill atmosphere. Highly thankful and recommend to all.

I didnt end up getting a tattoo at American but I came in with a very complicated photo realism request and was highly impressed with the honesty and professionalism of the staff in the shop. The artist Josh I think told me that he could do the piece but that it wasnt his specialty and I would be better served finding someone who specializes in photo realism due to the nature of the subject matter and my pretty lofty requests. I will almost certainly be back to get some work from Josh in his preferred style, honest professionals are hard to find these days.

This place is great. The guys are really relaxed, but in the best way, and they take their art really seriously. I got a relatively simple tattoo, and I was actually really skeptical because my artist kind of looked like the sort of person youd see smoking pot behind a 7/11, but then I saw some of his past work and hes done some amazing photorealistic tattoos. I felt really bad for making that initial judgement just based on looks, and I even joked with him that my tattoo was probably a joke to him in terms of how much skill it took to do, and he told me Youre only as good as your last tattoo. If I dont take every one I do seriously, then I cant really call myself an artist.I love that attitude, and it made me feel really safe for if I want to go there again. No matter what I want inked onto my skin, theyll take it seriously and do their best to make sure it comes out just how I want it.

I got my first tattoo done here. Claire was more than welcoming and she made me feel very comfortable. She made the whole experience amazing. I will definitely get my next tat here.

I got a tattoo here that I am very proud of and receive lots of ohs and ahs over it. My artist was very personable and worked with me on the details. Pricing was very good also. I will be back and send all of my family and friends here. Would highly recommend that you do that same.

I cant get enough of this tattoo shop. All the artists are great. I recently got one from mikale and he drew up a really nice piece! Im in love with the outcome. He was very easy going and the whole shop had nice music playing and a great atmosphere.

Awesome experience! I gifted myself with a small cross tattoo on my left bicep. It only took about two minutes or less to complete. I was impressed by his work 👍 I believe his name is Justin. I highly recommend✌️

Was very nervous about getting a tattoo, but the staff made me feel very comfortable. Answered all my questions without making me feel dumb. Appreciated my artist took the time to make sure everything was sanitary! Not what I expected! Will be going back!

Josh the piercer was amazing! my friend and i got our nipples pierced and we were worried about a guy doing it, but he made us so comfortable and made the experience so much easier.

The best tattoo experience Ive had so far. Claire has given me three tattoos at this point, one on my scalp, one on my ribs, and one on my arm. I cant express how gentle she was when tattooing my head which is a sensitive area but honestly, it almost didnt hurt because she was so gentle/ knowledgeable. ON TOP of that I have been stopped SO MANY TIMES by people asking about the floral tattoo she did for me because it is ao bomb. Also Ive been pretty particular in the past, making artists work with me to create the perfect design and Claire has always been so open and accommodating while also making a tattoo look better than I ever could have dreamed. Im sorry if I sound fanatical but she is my new artist for life!

Don’t bother trying to get a tattoo here. When I called to set up an appointment they said I can make an appointment through email only. They take forever just to respond. They always look like they’re closed. Big waste of time!

Aaron did an amazing job on my tattoo !!! He just took the idea I had and made it something I would of never imagined.

Everyone looked sticky and like they hadnt bathed in 3 weeks. The overall condition of the shop wasnt that good either. Ulysses s I probably wont be returning anytime soon.
