This is best place everrrrr. Actually super cool spot. ALL the artists are SUPER talented. They just opened a new lounge in the front with a really creative menu. Super cool refined, but underground vibes. The owner is the sweetest, she’s been my artists for 10+ years, this is her 4th spot I’ve followed her to. I recommend all my friends here. Looking forward to seeing what they do next.

This place is honestly the only place I ever think of getting my tattoos. The people are amazing and so artistic, they definitely know how to guide you to your perfect tattoos.. I guarantee you will go one day and never stop coming back.. you all are rocking it!!..

Could not recommend this shop more. 10/10 experience, hands down. Not only is the place itself hella cool, (and will be even more badass once renovations are complete) but the team is wonderful and incredibly communicative in the initial stages of booking my appointment. I got an almost immediate response to my appointment inquiry, and truly felt like the artist, Sophia (who is also the owner) was genuinely invested in my idea. She is incredibly sweet and friendly and allowed for conversation while she worked, which made me feel even more comfortable. Her skill is out of control and I absolutely am in love with how it all turned out. Will, without a doubt, be coming back!

Couldn’t say enough great things about the shop and my artist, nick.nick has done quite a few of my tattoos and the experience is top notch - he goes out of his way to make sure i’m comfortable during the experience, produces amazing work, and always meets me with amazing conversation. further than getting a tattoo, it feels more like hanging out with a friend and i leave feeling slightly cooler than i felt coming in. i’ve done a mix of his designs and mine and every time he delivers something stronger than i was expecting and is open to tweaks or adjustments as needed.i see any reason to go to anybody else in san diego, truthfully.the shop is clean, has a really cool vibe, and everybody there seems to communicate really well and they genuinely all seem like great people.

Sophia (the owner) was my artist, and everything about my experience was a dream (and thats with limited operation under COVID restrictions) - private rooms, impeccably clean & organized, chic, I could go on. Sophia herself was a wonderful conversation, super sweet, incredible artist, and immediately made me feel comfortable and welcome.My new piece: I posed an idea for a memorial for my late grandpa, and she nailed it! everything about my new piece is so perfect (detail, size, placement, etc.) She was able to make a couple alterations with ease (high-five technology!), and she made me feel great about my decisions without compromising any artistic integrity.Jess (who handled my email consultation) was very responsive, professional, and personable, and I loved working with her too! Only wish I could have had the opportunity to meet her too!Highly recommend the shop and the artists (especially Sophia). Best shop Ive ever been to, and Id be head-over-heels to go back!

This place was fantastic! Esteban is a class act and a hell of an artist. He helped make my daughters 18th birthday extremely special and killed it with the water color hummingbird on my wife’s back! I will be back to get myself some more ink asap!

Sophia takes art to a whole new level! A masterpiece she created is now proudly on my forearm. I get tons of compliments and questions about the meaning behind the art and I love sharing what Sophia taught me about it. I cannot wait for my next tat and to check out this rad new place, Black&Grey Atelier! Talent, love, dedication and pure art went into this place and its exciting to see.
