The Tattoo Temple is the place to be! The atmosphere is trendy and welcoming. The artists there are insanely talented, especially my girl, Holly. Holly has done all of my tattoos, and I will only go to her. She deserves all of the love because she is THAT good. I send everyone I know to her because she truly values creating something magical for each individual client. She is beyond brilliant, and deserves the world. I am obsessed with her precise line work, especially in her realism art. If you are looking to get a tattoo soon, the Tattoo Temple is where it’s at.

Mervin did such an amazing job on my elbow piece. I was nervous going in since it is an intense location, but Mervin made sure I was doing good, put me in comfortable positions, and the vibe was solid. I highly recommend Mervin for an mandala style are. Mervin also did a fine line heart shaped barbed wire piece on my girlfriend. It also came out stellar. Overall, the experience from start to finish was solid. Mervin is hilarious and compassionate about his work. Thank you, Mervin!

I dont even know where to start! The tattoo shop as a whole is so beautiful, theres always good music playing, all the artists are so cool in passing and they keep it a really comfortable and happy place to be. Shanti is my artist and I love her as a person and as an artist. She is a light in this world! Her work is so intricate, unique and stunning. I love every piece Ive gotten from her so far. She is so easy to talk to and work with. She gives excellent advice and I trust her to design what I envision wholeheartedly.I also want to mention that all of her tattoos have been the best experience I ever had when it comes to the healing process. They do so well and heal beautifully. Ive experienced very minimal discomfort which hasnt been the case before getting my work done by Shanti. Theres no question as to why she is in the Top 10 tattoo artists of SD. :) I am getting my next one with her on Sunday with many more to come. Cant wait!

SO HAPPY! The people are so friendly, amazing atmosphere of joy, you can tell they really love what they do! Holly did an INCREDIBLE job! Her line work is on point, which we did a whole hand piece, so I stare at it everyday! As its healed its becoming more and more beautiful!!! Its probably the happiest tattoo Ive gotten and I have a good amount!I walked in asking if there was an artist that could do this piece within a few days since Im not local, Hollys professional attitude and welcoming personality caused me to fully trust her! She gave me what I wanted and more:) so grateful that she saved my birthday since a different artist fell through in a bad way (different shop)1000% would recommend:) the attitude of everyone around was great, I dont think you could go wrong!

The Tattoo Temple is dope! Shanti is a dope tattoo artist. I’ve gotten three tattoos done by her so far. I give her a rough idea of what my vision is and she goes above and beyond to create some dope pieces. Her tableside manner is a vibe. So I wanted a custom piece and I had selected several different meaningful symbols that I wanted tattooed on my arm. Though the problem was that I’m not an artist so I needed someone to help make it come to life. Then I met Shanti, she is a true artist, she really understood my vision and assisted me by turning my idea Into a beautiful art piece. She is also extremely gentle and does excellent fine line work, my tattoo didn’t bleed or peel.Now I have a magical, scared, divine goddess that I am inspired by on a daily on my forearm. She helps me get though all the ebbs and flows of life and ultimately she is who I attain to be. I felt very comfortable with everyone that I came in contact to. They are extremely clean and want to make sure that you feel comfortable when you’re getting your tattoo. Athena at Tattoo Temple is amazing! She truly took her time to make sure my tattoo came out perfectly. Wraparound tattoos can be tough to get the placement right, and she was kind enough to have me come in the day prior to my appointment to draw the outline on to make sure the stencil was placed perfectly on the day of. Her artwork genuinely reflects her talent, and she was incredibly professional and thoughtful throughout the tattoo. They even had snacks in the lobby, which is always an added bonus!! Will be coming back for all my future tattoos🙌🏻

My wife and I were in San Diego and decided that in the short time we were going to be there, a tattoo was a must. Having never been there and not having any connections to the area, I searched on every platform I could think of to find quality work. Eventually, I landed on The Temple Tattoo and thought let give this place a try. I reached out and made an appointment, and shortly after landing in SD, we were getting tattoos. The artist that did our work was Athena. She was extremely accommodating, professional, and kind. The real compliment is in the quality of work she does. Athena did fantastic work and deserves to be flooded with all your money. Thank you, Athena, for the permanent memory!!

Could not ask for a better experience working with Mervin at The Tattoo Temple! The design process was seamless as he presented different options. Mervin provided advice to prepare for the session and during the session made sure I was comfortable. The piece came out better than I could of imagined! Thanks again for everything!

I cannot say enough good things about Shanti. Her work is incredible. She did a patchwork, full sleeve for me that I get complimented on regularly. Her fine line work is top notch. I LOVE The Tattoo Temple and its artists, but especially Shanti!! I’ve been getting tattooed by Shanti since 2019, have 5 pieces by her, and have so many more planned. Not only is she incredibly talented, she’s fun and kind and makes sitting for a 5-6 hour tattoo fun! She always comes up with ideas that are better than I ever imagined and works with me to make sure I’m comfortable with everything. This new shop is also to die for. Super cute and such a fun environment with Mervin, Holly, Mike, and Athena (who are also incredibly talented). You cannot go wrong getting tattooed here.

I met Shanti a little over 4 years ago, and we have spent many, many hours together as she has added her incredible art to my body. I am so honored to wear her work, and it has truly stood the test of time! All of the artists at The Tattoo Temple are so talented, and the studio itself is lovely to visit. You will feel comfortable going in and spending time there. Everyone is so respectful of the clients and their personal space. Shanti has taken every weird idea I have thrown her way and come back with something amazing every time.

Made an appointment to get matching tattoos with my best friend while she’s visiting California for my birthday! They were tattoos we’ve had planned to get for 10+ years together! Our appointments were with Mike and he was amazing! We had such a good time laughing and chatting the whole time and his work was so perfect! He shared his professional opinion which helped us decide on sizing and the positioning of our tattoos. He also let us know that for the longevity of our pieces, he would have to make a couple changes instead of just doing it and it not lasting or looking good. It turned out even more perfect than I could have imagined!

Definitely the ideal spot to get a tattoo. Place looks great. I literally have 0 complaints (except for the parking😂). I did two 8 hour sessions with Holly and it was 16 hours of just vibing. Not only was Holly insanely talented but fun to talk to, as were the other artists there. Whenever we needed a break there was unlimited snacks and waters too.

Shanti is the best in the biz. I have three beautiful tattoos by her and I plan to work with her for years to come! She has such a delicate hand for the floral work. Two of my pieces were commissions and she took such care and attention bringing my vision to life. The third is an artist original that really spoke to me to commemorate a special day. Her style is so romantic and lovely. Shanti is probably the best conversationalist I’ve ever had with a tattoo artist! My artist Mervin killed it, creating a piece that was exactly what I was looking for. Plus he accommodated me coming from out of town so we did a little over 50 hours of tattooing in 5 days. Mervin was kind and funny and very client focused with the whole experience. Plus everyone else in the shop was so nice, too. 11/10 recommend 👏🏻

Shanti has been my artist for almost 4 years now, and every piece I’ve gotten from her has been beautifully crafted. Shanti’s bread and butter are her ladies, but she’s also amazing at florals and some animals. My last piece was dinosaurs, which I absolutely love and am floored at how masterfully done they are. Every time I reach out to Shanti, I just tell her a rough concept and vibe I’m looking for, and she comes back with a piece that perfectly captures my personality.Most of her pieces are fine line, and mine still look beautiful after several years of wearing them. I highly recommend Shanti for all of your delicate tattoo ideas! In the four years I’ve been with Shanti, I have also interacted with Mervin and he is just as delightful as ever. Mervin brings the laughs and lifts the spirit of the shop! His pieces are incredibly beautiful, as well, and I am in awe of the intricate designs he creates! When Shanti and Mervin opened Tattoo temple I also had the pleasure of meeting Hollie and if you haven’t seen some of the leg sleeves she’s created, please do yourself a favor and check out her Instagram. It’s amazing the detail she pulls from every piece. On top of that, Hollie is a great and engaging person to be around. Mervin did my tattoo. From the beginning, he was very friendly and good at listening to what I wanted. I wanted a Filipino tribal band and he.provided suggestions and recommendations based on his professional experience as to what looks the best since he’s done many of these type of tattoos before when he lived in the Philippines. What I liked most was that Mervin was really good at paying attention to small details. I would highly recommend him.

I got to work with the incredibly talented mervin (@vedic_electric)! his geometric/mandala/ornamental/free hand work is incredible. we are working on my sleeve right now, just finished the the elbow/underarm yesterday, and he made the process as comfortable as possible! the piece we just finished yesterday came out absolutely GORGEOUS! literally one of the coolest people I’ve gotten to work! 12/10 would recommend him any day of the week. on top of that the other tattoo artist’s in that shop have INCREDIBLE work as well! a really awesome space to work with insanely talented artists! I have almost 30 hours of tattooing from Hollee and all of it is awesome. This place is super clean and has a chill atmosphere to help you relax while getting work done. I recommend it to anyone in the SD area
