He created a very comfortable environment amidst the quick pain of the piercing!The space had a beautiful aesthetic with super chill vibes and energy. Lastly, the staff was so kind and friendly which added to the wonderful experience I had today. Definitely will be my go-to piercing shop when Im in the Bay.

Incredible experience! Follow the street sign for a transportation to a whole new experience! Sandra and Jay made me feel immediately welcomed and at home with the process. Jay was thoughtful and careful with placement of my piercings to make sure it was exactly what I wanted. He even advised me not to get what I came in for due to my anatomy. I so appreciated this perspective and him not piercing me anyway!! Hands down maybe the best piercing experience I’ve ever had. Only recommendation is to ask for pricing of jewelry beforehand.. I was a little surprised at my total based on what the estimate was when I made my appointment but wouldn’t have traded the outcome for anything! So grateful!!

10 out of 10 experience!! I went in for a nostril piercing and was greeted upon arrival and even saw they have snacks and water. After filling out a consent form I then waited for my piercer, Paul to get ready he did an incredible job being patient and asking all the right questions to make sure I’m comfortable. I would definitely recommend this place if it’s your looking for friendly and professional service.

Got my septum done with Paul! He was super nice, patient and listened to the placement that I wanted. He explained each step, making me feel comfortable.It was super quick and painless! I think getting my cartilage pierced was more painful.Would recommend and will definitely be back to have my daughter’s ears done here.

I got my earlobes pierced, I was greeted warmly by Kyle and he was also my piercer; he meticulously and carefully marked my ears to make sure that the piercing would be symmetrical and accommodate my ears that differ slightly in shape. The pain was minimal during the piercing, and afterward the discomfort is very mild. Kyle gave me excellent aftercare instructions, and the place was very clean and organized. I would recommend this place to anyone I know getting any piercings done, as the whole process was excellent from start to finish.

I got my helix and 3rd lob piercings pierced by Paul and he was amazing! He was very reassuring and made me feel so comfortable. I absolutely love my piercings and I definitely recommend this place. It’s also so clean and fresh in their shop! Kasra was also an amazing help, she was super sweet and was so kind to help me also pick out my piercings and jewelry. I recommend this place to everyone, Kasra and Paul were both so amazing! 😊I’ll definitely be back again.

This is my second time coming here. Even though they can get busy I’ve always been able to do a walk in fairly quickly, so they have great availability. I’ve had two different piercers and they’ve both been gentle with the piercing and fun to talk to.When I called and asked to use jewelry I previously bought from them, they said no due to health laws but threw in the jewelry free because I was a returning customer. It was a super kind gesture and is great to see the business invest in their returning clients. Great staple in San Jose.

Sarah at the front desk was amazing. She was so helpful and honest when it came to questions about one of my piercings. I didn’t end up getting it because my ear is too small but I’m grateful for her advice. Paul, my piercer was so nice. He was patient during the process and let me know when he was going to pierce my nose. This was one of the smoothest sessions I’ve had.

I had the best experience at Hone Piercing! Kyle and Melissa were so nice and professional. I immediately felt comfortable. I originally got a 2nd piercing done on my left ear lobe somewhere else and wasnt happy with the placement. I came in to get a 2nd and 3rd piercing on my left lobe with different placements and am so happy with the results!!! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for new piercings. I will definitely be back for more in the future!

I got a my third earlobe piercings done here back in February. They healed so quickly and cleanly — the best out of all the piercings I’ve gotten so far! The studio is super stylish as soon as you get in, and all the equipment is clean and sterile. The whole process was so easy and satisfying and I will 1000% come back to Hone for my next piercings.

I came here to get my flat pierced and jewelry fitted for my conch (it had shrunk from not having anything in it for years). The staff here are super friendly and informative! They were also patient with me while I picked out my jewelry, and have a large selection to choose from. My piercer, Paul, was great and took the time to position my flat where I wanted while keeping my ear anatomy in mind. I’ll definitely be coming back here for more

Paul was absolutely wonderful! The piercing did not hurt, and he took the time to provide elaborate after care instructions which is so rare at other professional piercing places. Also answered all my questions patiently. Special shoutout to Sarah who gave a detailed consult on how I should space out multiple piercings, given my past history with infection. Hone also provides follow up consult in case of infections which is such a delight. Love this place! Highly recommend.

We walked in on a Sunday afternoon and received friendly and quick service.A friend and I wanted to get new jewelry and get assistance with switching it out. The gentleman who took care of us was professional and took care of our needs.

Went as a walk in this morning. Paul was my piercer and he was opening up the shop as we waited. The place is impeccably clean and professional. Paul took the time discussing the whole process and he was so knowledgeable as this was my first time getting a nostril piercing. He made the experience very calming and it was so quick. First piercing.Piercer did not offer me any choice of jewellery and quickly marked one dot on my ear, not asking where I wanted my helix. I said I wanted it lower than the dot and he pierced straight away, without showing me another dot or giving me the chance to approve the placement.It happened so quickly that even my girlfriend was shocked.End result is I have a piercing in a placement I’m not happy with (it’s actually very far off what I wanted) and jewellery that I’m not happy with.He was otherwise very cold/unpleasant and weird vibes.Had to basically drag aftercare advice out of him, as he wouldn’t say more than a couple of words at a time.Now I need to go to another piercer and pay to fix his work.Terrible. As someone with lots of tattoos, shockingly unprofessional and show no care for the seriousness of modifying your body!

I got my ears pierced with Paul today and it was amazing. He was super quick and made it as painless as possible. I was initially nervous about it but the whole atmosphere was calming and the place was great. For any age this is a great place to go to get pierced.

Took my daughter to get her Helix pierced and it was a great experience. Sarah was so sweet and accommodating and very helpful in filling out the forms! The space is deceiving from the outside, you will enter through the side. You’ll feel like you’re in a spa with the nice decor! Highly recommend!

We brought our daughter in today to get her ears pierced for the first time. The staff were all very friendly and the facilities were bright and clean. They took their time with us and made our daughter feel very comfortable — she was very excited!We were a little surprised by the price of the stud earrings we got there ($165), but our daughter was thrilled from start to finish.

Got my lobe pierced at Hone today. :) It was quick and I felt very taken care of. Everything was clean/sterile (they use needles and not the piercing guns), my piercer was friendly, and the environment was quiet and calm. It was very easy to make an appointment online and they sent me a text reminder about an hour before my appointment.Parking tip: The entrance to Hone is in the back and there are parking spaces in the lot.Thank you, Hone!

I had a really nice time with my piercer Jay, he was super sweet and funny! I was walked through the entire piercing process and the aftercare steps thoroughly which helped with a bit of anxiety during the piercing. Im really happy with how my helix turned out since its my first cartilage piercing!!

I came in for the first time for a quick jewelry exchange for my snug piercing, Kassra and Paul helped me out and informed me of the small issue with the previous bar I had in which was way too small despite the moderate healing I had. They gave me all the information I need on care and how to prevent issues in the future with cartilage piercings and piercings in general. Swapped my jewelry and I’m feeling brand new and a whole lot better than the tight fit I had before. 10/10 service and I’d rate higher if I could !

Very very nice and great work done. So accommodating and kind when I got a little dizzy. Shout out to Jay! I originally went in to get my septum pierced, but he informed me I didn’t have the anatomy for it and if I proceeded it would be crooked. I really appreciated his honesty. We decided to go with a lip piercing and honestly I think it looks even better than a septum would have!

First face piercing done today! It was LOVELYYYYY.It was confusing to get there since hone piercing is apart of this building with other businesses.But to get there I just went through the back and it was easy to find from there.My piercer was Paul Gomez and they were very nice and made the process very easy.The piercing itself, quick and efficient. They used a ruler to make sure it’s accurate.Very inviting and safe environment I highly recommend.

So the neighborhood that Hone Piercing is in is sadly run down, a shuttered movie theater, a whole mini strip mall bordered up, but dont let the exterior fool you. The shop is completely modern and everyone we interacted with were super professional, patient and helpful.My daughter had a DIY piercing to clean up and the staff advised us on best practices, removed the DIY jewelry (just dont try this at home kids) and the price for their assistance was very reasonable. They very much deserve their five star rating.

Just stopped by to get my belly button pierced and wanted to say everyone here is so amazing! The wait time is very little to none, and you can tell they love what they do, as well as being very clean! I brought my little brother who wanted to watch, they offered him snacks, water, etc. They are truly the best, I will definitely be coming back!!

Paul was fantastic, he took out the horribly placed helix piercing that I got somewhere else and pierced my ear on the other side and it looks so much better! He is super professional and informed me on what to expect and made me less nervous about the process. The place is super nice too.

Cant always trust the rating.... nobody to greet you and theyre in this room looking at nock off deisgner bags. A lady came out with this tube of cream for this other lady sitting in the lobby with me. Definitely changed my mind really quick about sanitation. Tripped over a kids shoe because the business is not in front its in the back and so they walked me down a dark hallway.... just wasnt the standards I would find acceptable for peircing and for business

My piercing experience was great. The location was super cute and clean and had a very welcoming atmosphere. The staff member Sandra was super friendly at the front desk and it was nice seeing a happy face walking in. Paul was absolutely fantastic when it came to getting my nipples pierced. I was a little nervous but he walked me through the process before he made any moves. It definitely calmed my nerves down about the process and i’d definitely go back for another piercing.

I came with 2 friends, the 3 of us had an appointment. For 4 ear piercings and 1 jewelry change we stayed 2 hours… I was the one with the longest work done : 2 cartilage piercings and a jewelry change, so we stayed in the same room and we were 2 getting pierced at the same time.One of my friends had the marking and piercing done super fast. Our other friend had to wait 30 mins, had the marking done but the piercer went away and never came back. As we were in the same room I asked my piercer if she would be able to have her piercing done, he called another colleague (one of the 2 who welcomed us) who told us that he forgot about her ! She finally had hers done after 45 mins. The payment was quite a hustle too. The lady had trouble getting every procedure right, I quote “it’s a bit confusing”, despite being with us at the beginning when we explained what we wanted. She told us that for new clients there was a 5$ discount for a Google review and another 5$ for social media post. While we did that with my friend she managed to forgot the discount when I paid, so I gave my discount to our 3rd friend. Moreover my piercer told me that the jewelry change with my own plus a sterilization was 15$ but when I had to pay it was 30$ !!! Since it was already done they tried to make me pay full price but I negotiated it to 20$.At least I got the Tuesday discount : pay one piercing get a second for free (NB titanium jewelry is 30$ each).Also Paul seems to be the only piercer who actually knows what he is doing.Otherwise no known complications, hygiene rules were followed.UPDATE - One of my piercing jewelry was too short so I lost the ball 3 times within a month… First time I went to the salon they fixed it for me, second time I managed to screw it back myself (painfully) and third time I went back to the salon furious. They changed it saying that the bar was too short and the swelling was making the ball come off. No apologies or commercial gesture was given…I will never come back to get pierced there !!!

I got my nose done and for one of my first nostril piercings I was very comfortable and the process was quick and easy. Would highly recommend and will be coming by for future piercings

The people here are so nice, I went 2 times for help with my eyebrow piercing ball falling off and they helped and recommended a new way to clean the peircing which immediately helped with the pus and soreness! Definitely go to them for anything, peircings. Very clean too they sterilize their equipment and jewelry with this little machine in the back like that youd see at dentist offices. 😀

I had done a walk in for a naval piercing and the team was super welcoming! The wait was not too bad, I felt like I was in and out. The team was also super good at making conversation that it made the experience even more comfortable.

My septum piercing was super easy with Jay! He answered all my questions and did a great job.EDIT: I ended up taking it out after 6 days because I think it was incorrectly placed. Instead of in the sweet spot near the tip, it was in the thicker flesh in the bottom part of my septum. It was definitely not through the cartilage, which would have been much worse. But it was in this thicker area and it was getting a little more tender and painful each day and on one side the flesh around the hole turned kind of yellow, which I thought was a sign of infection, but the piercer who took it out elsewhere said it was just a sign of poor healing. I got two opinions from other piercers before taking it out, and I know that they are motivated to tell me that it was done wrong so that I would pay them to redo it for me, but ultimately I just believed what they said, and verified as best I could by googling things. One of them was an apprentice at the time who would have redone it for me for free, so that helps their credibility a bit. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ When I got it redone, it also looked less crooked, and they had a waaaay bigger jewelry selection elsewhere. On the bright side, the owner was very gracious when I called and requested a refund, which she gave me.

No wonder this place has a 4.9 review. I was confused when I checked yelp reviews and their significantly lower rating. I will be reposting this there. Anyway, I have had my nose pierced for almost 5 years now. I had on and off keloid problem which ended up in me letting my piercing heal and getting it re-pierced back in october. However shortly after while it remained keloid-less, a super bad cold made the end of my piercing stick out of nose. I was unable to put it back after months of trying so I went to Hone to see if they could help me out. Jay was absolutely wonderful and worked with me for an hour while I bled, teared up, and sneezed all over the place. He was one of the most patient piercers i’ve ever worked with and I am so happy I came to Hone. After about an hour, we successfully were able to remove my piercing and put it back with the back facing upwards into my nose. I told Jay about my previous keloid problem and he sent me off with a keloid spray solution that has worked wonders. My piercing has been doing amazing, and I cannot thank Hone enough. Highly recommend this place :) Thank you again!!!

Hone’s piercers are not app certified and do not use industry standard body piercing safety protocol. they were willing to pierce with inappropriate starter jewelry that would make it much more challenging for a client to initially heal, such as rings where a straight flatback labret was appropriate, and offering pvd-plated jewelry (which can flake off into the piercing and is generally considered unsafe).i confirmed many if not all of them have not had a proper apprenticeship.they do not carry standard high quality body-safe jewelry brands like anatometal, neometal, etc. when prompted, they could only name metal mafia as one of the brands they carry, which basically has the quality of claire’s jewelry. do not recommend. i also heard from other clients that they bribe customers to post five star reviews in exchange for discounts.use the association of professional piercer’s website to find local piercers who are members and actually have the qualifications to safely pierce you.

Lovely experience overall! The vibe is amazing - I was immediately obsessed with the way the place is decorated; it feels like you’re walking into a spa. Sandra helped us at the front desk and readily answered any and all questions, our piercer Jay was so patient and professional! Highly recommend!

I took advantage of the Black Friday deal and got a nostril piercing and my daughter got her cartilage pierced. Booking online was easy, our piercer was Sarah. I loved how she explained everything she was doing, she even offered my daughter a snack and a drink prior. She was quick with our piercings and super friendly. The place was clean and had a nice, serene and calming feel. The owner, Sondra who rang us up was awesome as well!

Not good experience… Drove an hour on my birthday to get my jewelry (on my already pierced nose) switched out. Thought it was gonna be quick and easy but i literally left crying. I am gonna say it is a nice place with a decent manger, but the piercer they had help me was so bad. She kept dropping the jewelry she was gonna put in my nose on the ground! Had extremely shaky hands. I was very uncomfortable. She didnt know what she was doing at all! Other staff was literally watching her mess up and not helping at all! She seriously irritated my piercings from repeatedly trying to put the wrong jewelry in. After being there for over an hour!!!! She couldnt do it and had to put my old stud back in. But literally put it in wrong??? My 4 yr old piercing has been hurting for over a month bc she didnt put it in right. After that horrific experience i go to the register and the owner (im assuming) can see im upset and asks me in front of the inexperienced piercer to rate them? Like to their face? That made me even more uncomfortable. I just left crying. I have a bump on both piercings now. Dont let this review stop you from going here because i do believe they have decent employees, but i wanted to share my experience and the effects of what happened.

The shop was easy to find, the people were super helpful with information regarding the piercings themselves, jewelry, and aftercare, and the vibes were fantastic. I had a wonderful experience at hone piercing. It was my first time getting my ear lobes pierced with a needle as opposed to a piecing gun and was a bit nervous going into it but was reassured that the pain would be minimal which it indeed was. They practiced great hygiene between each piercing which made for a comfortable experience. Overall had an amazing experience!

I got my septum piercing done here during one of their events. I would highly recommend.It had a welcoming environment, and I felt cared for throughout my time there. They were professional and knowledgeable about any questions I had. At first, I didnt like my piercing (I just wasnt used to it yet), but they worked with me and made sure I left satisfied.

I came in as a walk-in with my sisters and got my second cartilage piercing done. The atmosphere in here is super cute and everyone was very friendly. I appreciated the transparency with the piercing process and the piercing itself was not painful in my opinion. Overall a great experience!!

The staffs are super friendly and dedicated with their job. It was not really painful when I do the helix piercing, Jay is the one who helped me do the piercing, and I was really satisfied. Sara is very helpful in introducing us with what we need to do with the paperwork.

Sarah helped me out with my double earlobes for the 2 for 1 Tuesday special. They were very helpful and knowledgeable for the piercing and aftercare. The locations very clean and nice, and theres a small parking lot along with a large public spot across the street. I would definitely recommend and Ill be back!

I got my piercings (which I got done elsewhere) switched for a shorter bar, and Fernanda was so helpful and nice. She was quick, sanitary and super gentle.

Walked in and no one was there for awhile. My mom and I waited over 20 minutes before we were even talked to about the jewelry options and even then they had limited options and were looking for some quite some time. They were not ready when we arrived even with having an appointment prior. The piercer Paul did not seem knowledgeable and seemed nervous. He marked my mom for a daith piercing in a completely different place than it was supposed to be. I felt extremely uncomfortable and neither Paul nor the front desk lady were not very friendly or inviting nor knowledgeable. I definitely do not recommend coming here at all. If you are looking for a good piercing studio I would recommend Amory Body Arts in Santa Cruz CA.

I made a last minute appointment the day after Christmas, not sure what I wanted to get pierced and had lots of question. I called the studio and they got me in for a consultation within a few hours. The studio looked more like a spa than the dingy dark piercing studios I used to go to in my 20s.Jay took me to one of the piercing rooms that were super clean and answered all my questions about placement of piercings and what to expect as far as healing times and we decided on a septum piercing. He walked me thru everything he was going to do and what kind of pain sensation it would be. The actual piercing was quick and way less painful than I anticipated! He went over aftercare instructions thoroughly and Sandra the very personable owner checked me out and sent me on my way with a beautiful new piercing!Ill be back soon for my next one, just have to decide what one to get!
