I had a great experience at Evolve. Not only did my piercings turn out just as I had intended, the staff was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and kind. They did a great job at walking me through each step in the process. Overall, Evolve is a clean and tidy shop that I’d love to visit again!

I’ve been here for a jewelry change and a couple of piercings. Staff is consistently super informative, helpful, and warm. John and Jessica have curated a very comfortable space. Also, make sure to ask John about some of those pictures hanging up on the wall. The dude has so many good stories.

I went in to start stretching my lobes from 14 g. I appreciate Jessica and Johns knowledge and experience in piercing. Here is to a new journey with an amazing selection of gorgeous ear wear!

I came in on a random Sunday finally deciding to get my first piercing (nostril). John and Olivia (likely messing up names, apologies) were FANTASTIC! Everything was explained very clearly and thoroughly. During the piercing, John was pleasant, super easy to talk to, and made me feel comfortable during the entire process. Overall I love my piercing, but unfortunately for my checkbook, I have opened Pandoras Box and will be back to Evolve for future piercings.

Had an amazing experience getting my lobes double pierced. John, the owner, is there on the weekends and he was extremely knowledgeable and patient with us (even for such an easy piercing). He also helped me with my older helix piercing. I would recommend this shop to anyone looking for clean, quality work!

If I could give evolve 10 stars, I would! Went in Sunday as a walk in and they were nice enough to do my piercing without an appointment! John did my piercing and I will be going to John for all my piercing needs from now on. John was extremely knowledgeable and friendly and did amazing work. He measured my nose to ensure the best placement for the piercing, talked me through all the steps and aftercare steps, and was a calm and gentle presence during the procedure. Thank you Evolve!

I can’t recommend this place enough!I came in as a walk in with my friend who had an appointment. We both got nostril piercings, and it was our first time getting a piercing (so we were a bit nervous).The associate was so friendly and explained all our jewelry options and pricing. They also made recommendations when I asked for help! Because I was a walk in and there were appointments before and after the time I was there, they gently reminded me I didn’t have a ton of time. But I did not feel rushed AT ALL. I really appreciated their help and friendliness!The piercer, John, was so fantastic. He was so kind, and chatted with us as he was prepping. I also asking if I could film my friend while he was getting pierced, and although he said no, he handled it really professionally and didn’t make a big deal about it!The piercing process was easy, he talked me through it, which I really appreciate! Overall very friendly and patient.The studio is clean and organized, and they have a bathroom for customers that also is clean. Not a super big location but has some seating for waiting.They also mentioned I can always call if I am experiencing any complications with my piercing. I really love the placement of my piercing, John did a amazing job!I had a really good experience at Evolve and will definitely be coming back!

They might know a lot about piercings but know nothing about customer service and just general human kindness. Unaware that there are other cultures that have different piercing practices and even if it doesnt align with theirs, there are nicer ways to put it across than the low key racial insinuations these people make. I went in looking for advice on my nose piercing and they spent 90% of the time criticizing my choices very rudely and unnecessarily, assuming I got it done in an unhygienic place because it was in Asia, which was very much not the case. Never expected to feel so attacked in a diverse place like Capitol Hill, Seattle. My partner has also been to them on a separate occasion and found them condescending and rude. I didnt know they were the same piercers when I booked the appointment. I hope that they take this consistent feedback from their customers about rudeness and work on it a bit

I went in for a couple piercings and so far very happy with the piercings themselves- however the staff was very condescending and dismissive; I felt uncomfortable the entire time I was there. I had a couple questions about pricing and about a previous piercing I’d gotten years ago, and the conversation immediately felt like a confrontation with both the person at the front desk, and with John.I thought that I was maybe being oversensitive, or that they were irritable because it was the end of the day- but then I read their reviews and it’s clear that others have had similar issues.I understand that they probably do have people who argue with them, but I did not push back on any of their responses and still found myself actively de-escalating the interactions, trying to placate the situation.If you don’t have a strong preference for the energy of a space and just want a nice piercing, this shop totally works. Personally, with piercings, tattoos, or anything where I’m inviting someone to work on my body, I want to feel comfortable and free to ask questions. A needle in the face is vulnerable, and feeling scolded beginning to end just isn’t for me. I’m happy with my piercings, but I will be following up on my aftercare with a different shop.****** Adding another star because I did speak with someone on the phone to clarify the total cost and she was super helpful, very friendly, and went through the itemized charges without issue. Not sure if this is the same person as when I was in the shop, but either way this person was very lovely!

We have been coming to this shop for years. The piercers are very informative and great to work with. They explain all offerings in an approachable manner. They have the magic touch to keep you feeling at ease during the process.The selection of jewelry is expansive and they make a lot of their jewelry. We commissioned them to make a set of amethyst plugs for our wedding a few years ago. We were able to pick out stone. The turn around time was rather quick.There is a pay to park lot across the street. Street parking is sometimes easy to find.If youre on the Hill, this is the only place to go. If youre not in the city, I would highly encourage you to make the trip.

The staff members at Evolve were extremely informative and very patient with my 8,000 questions. Selection of jewelry was vast in sizes, shapes and designers, AND they had regular jewelry as well as plugs and weights. I didnt have anything pierced while I was there, but will be sure to come back if I decide to add to my collection! :)

I went and got my navel pierced almost 2 years ago. They did an OUTSTANDING job, fast and clean. They had me initial for my needle to verify that it was autoclaved. They pierced despite scar tissue from a previous botched job done elsewhere. DETAILED instructions on caring for it after, and easy to reach them afterwards when needed. They also gave me detailed information on the type of metal my jewelry is since Im highly reactive. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM! I waited 2 years to make sure that any issues would come to light before posting a review. I have NO COMPLAINTS.

Went in for a simple earlobe piercing and had a great experience. I came at a time the store wasnt busy, so they were happy to take me as a walk-in. My piercer was John, he was very nice and professional, I felt very well taken care of.The process was pricey, I paid around $200 for two earlobe piercings (one per ear), but with the amount of experience and expertise John has, I get the sense that its a more-than-fair price.If you know that you have any kind of metal allergy, previous piercing complications, or any issue that affects your piercing, this shop is 100% the way to go. They are very good at taking care and informing their clients, and they offered to help if anything weird happened post-piercing. I think that if I wanted another, more complicated piercing, this is the only shop I would come to!Anyways, had a great experience, will definitely be recommending this shop to friends!EDIT: I also want to add that I am white presenting, non-disabled, American English is my first language, and masculine presenting. I was pretty vocal about being gay and genderqueer in front of the store owner and front-desk person. I mention this in my reviews so that people with similar identities can know what to expect. I felt very safe at this shop, and I hope others feel the same.

I was really impressed with my experience at Evolve. I stepped in a few days before I planned on making an appointment to get a lay of the land, ask a few questions, and ultimately to ease my nerves. I left satisfied enough to move forward.I made appointments for my friend and myself. He was getting his first piercings (earlobes) and was so nervous. They talked through everything from earring selection, healing, things to consider, etc. he was so happy with the outcome and felt very taken care of. I was receiving my second piercings (double helix) and was less nervous comparatively but equally bc I had never had cartilage piercings done before.Our piercer, John, had such a pleasant bed side demeanor, he asked about placement, made sure we were happy, and was so good at talking us through the nerves! The recommendations on deep breathing made the piercing experience quick and virtually painless.I’m not sure what my next piercing will be, but I can guarantee you Evolve will be where I go.

I’ve now had 3 piercings done at Evolve, and I don’t think I’ll go to another shop.They are very diligent about upholding COVID policies (masks, proof of vaccination, etc.) and keeping a clean environment. Your jewelry is sterilized while you’re there which is provides a sort of comfort knowing your piece is truly clean.For my most recent piercing (septum), I had called to schedule an appointment and Dani (Danny?) directed me to where I could access that on the website. They were so polite and got me the information I needed in less than 2 minutes. When I got there I filled out the paperwork and was given aftercare instructions. Anthony did my piercing and walked me through every step as it was happening. Whenever I had questions they stopped and answered them. They also helped me with my jewelry for a different piece. Once we were done I was given aftercare instructions again (very happy they did that) and a card with the instructions in writing!This place is awesome and I genuinely don’t think I’ll go to another place around here. Definitely recommend!!

Amazing shop with an amazing staff!! One of THE MOST professional places you can go to in Seattle to have any piercing done!! They make a lot of their jewelry in house, and you cant beat their knowledge or service, in any way!! Highly recommend!!

I had a great experience with this place, I was looking forward to get my PA done and I was trying to look for some safe place to do so.Dave was the piercer (who has a lot of experience), he gave me all the directions before and after, got me calm and no pressure at all. I felt really good about it this experience and definitely I will be back to get more piercings.Also, the lady at the counter, she was really nice as well.Thank you!

Their jewelry and quality is great. However their staff is just rude and unfriendly. I went a few months ago to get a piercing and they were rude as I entered the door and yes I get that there were other customers first and they have really great COVID policies, but telling me to “wait outside” could have been said with a more kinder tone of voice and not so aggressive.I hope they understand that body language and the tone of how you say things is so important, but based on their responses to other negative reviews they really do gaslight you and absolutely do not care and say: “We are not at any loss to not have you as a client.”Getting my piercing was smooth and easy with no complications, the problem is that the staff are very unkind and unfriendly.I hope you all remember that people really just want a great experience and being kind and friendly is so important.

For years I had wanted an Industrial piercing but was always hesitant about the care and maintenance of such. Their staff were knowledgable, answered all of my questions easily, and the whole process went smooth and seamless. They helped me pick out the perfect jewelry too and were more than happy to assist me with follow up questions and a replacement bar when the original one became too tight a year later. My partner has also gotten multiple piercings here and we’ve always felt well taken care of.

The jewellery quality and cleanliness is great. However the staff was rude. When I arrived, I quickly picked out my jewelry. After that I had to wait 20 minutes for the piercer to be available. When I went in for the piercing, the piercer rushed me to pick the location of my piercing saying I only had 5 minutes left in my appointment. Even though I had been sitting and waiting for 20 minutes during that time. I had no problem with the wait, however to then rush me and say I only had 5 minutes left in the appointment and tell me to just pick a spot on my nose was rude and terrible customer service.I would not return here and not recommend getting a piercing here where they don’t take the time and care to make sure you’re happy with your result.

TL;DR: Evolve, please be kind to your customers, even if you choose not to serve them.I booked a jewelry change for my partner at this location, after receiving an in person recommendation for this shop. We booked in advance, paid the appointment deposit, and we were very excited to get their nose piercing changed from a stud to a hoop, after 6 months of straightforward healing.When we walked in, I noticed the sign on the door said no Karens and it made me laugh. It wasnt as funny when it turned out the employees were actually the Karens.As soon as they found out my partners piercing was not more than 9 months old, they turned us away. I can handle being told no, but I have trouble being dismissed. Despite us having paid for a 30 minute time slot in advance, neither the front desk employee or the piercer offered to look at the actual piercing and its healing process. They did not offer for one of us to get a new piercing as an alternative. They did not provide us education or use it as a learning opportunity. The interaction felt icy and unwelcoming.I understand the importance of following business policies, being careful with body modifications, and not changing piercings too early. If they had treated us kindly, explained to us in a helpful way, or taken the time to actually LOOK at the piercing, I would not be leaving this review.My intention with this review is to give other potential patrons a heads up to make sure your piercing has met Evolves time requirements for healing, because otherwise you may have an experience similar to ours.We called Pierced Hearts, and they were incredibly warm, educational, and helpful. They said we could walk in and they would take a look at the piercing to see if it would be safe to change the jewelry. They decided it was, and my partner got their gold hoop afterall.

Staff are very kind and accommodating place is sanitary with good choices of piercings. Had trouble as the default stud piercing given was far too small and was touted as hypoallergenic but had an allergic reaction in both making them not heal right. Also dont recommended to piercing newcomers or people squeemish or nervous as their art on the wall is covered in extreme mody modifications and gashes and the like which can easily be triggering for some. Probably gonna find some place else for my next piercings.Edit: now my spouses ear is reacting and they don’t have any metal allergies so now we’re very suspicious

Me and my husband has several piercings done at Evolve. You won’t find a more professional, clean, or knowledgeable shop for piercings. We wouldn’t trust anyone else. We also custom order all our jewelry from Evolve. I went here on a whim to get a second nostril piercing. They are SO clean and helpful. I literally went like 2 weeks ago and it already feels healed. That just goes to show you how absolutely clean and great they are at piercing. I will go here every time I want to get a new piercing. They helped me pick out my stud because I wasnt sure what kind of style I wanted. Its priced really well, and the quality of the jewelry is exemplary. If you want to get a piercing, go to Evolve!

Extremely well educated staff and very punctual with appointments. They make you feel very safe, comfortable and cared for during every step of the process. Have had both nostrils and philtrum done by them and wait to come back for more!

After having to have my piercing from here removed due to poor placement, I cannot recommend anyone go here. My piercing was done by Cory? (whichever one wears the grill?) and a few months after, when it did not seem to be healing progressively, I revisited the shop to have it looked at. I was literally scolded for my aftercare. I couldnt believe theyd spoken to me the way they did. I thankfully decided to get opinions from two other piercers at different shops, and they BOTH confirmed that it was not my fault. The piercing was done and placed incorrectly. As a result Ive had to remove the piercing and hope that I dont have permanent scarring. Terrible experience. There are better places to go to in the area who wont gaslight you for their mistakes.10/10 do not recommend.*Edit* as you can see from the business’s response, they’ll continue to gaslight you and avoid responsibility. :) The feedback that I got about poor placement was in fact within 1 year of being pierced. As I said before, multiple piercers have told me it was done incorrectly. The way that this shop speaks to its customers is so poor. Again, there’s so many other options. Save yourself the trouble and somewhere else.

Got my double helix done by John a few weeks ago and they are healing up nicely. Shop was clean, I didnt feel rushed, and John was very informative and thorough in explaining piercing placement and jewelry options. Jess was also quick to respond when I emailed the shop. Lovely place, Ill be back for more piercings next time Im in town :)

I made an appointment at Evolve hoping to get my right nostril pierced. Jessica asked if they were the ones who pierced my left nostril, and I told them no, that I’d had it done 8 years ago, before I lived in the area. John became immediately apparently aggravated upon hearing that I’d had my first nose piercing done in another shop. He took me to the back to look at my already pierced nostril, and the second my mask was down began ranting about all that was wrong with it.I would have appreciated if John had been at all able to communicate in an explanatory way how different my piercings might look, were he to go through with piercing the other side. However, he was only able to rant at me in a condescending manner, bobbing his head and body up and down as he interrupted any questions I attempted to ask just to repeat something he’d already said. When we went back to the front, he repeated this behavior, interrupting Jessica, when I attempted to ask for her perspective on the same questions. I was extremely rushed to make a decision, and because of John’s short-temper, I decided not to get anything done at all. Had the environment not been so aggressively hostile, I probably would have just got a different piercing.I let them know the reason I would not be getting a piercing today had nothing to do with the placement, and was only because of how anxiety-inducing and uncomfortable the 7 minutes I’d spent there had already been made to be.I did not receive a refund. I would not recommend this business if you are neurodivergent.

John is great. This shop has the best jewelry and they will even custom make it for you. John pierced my nostril last year, and I needed help finding the perfect hoop.I had no idea about good quality jewelry, the gauge, the size hoop, how to put it in. He’s super knowledgeable. Highly recommend for anyone in Seattle who needs to be pierced with a good selection of jewelry.Bonus: super down to earth and really kind man.

I was originally heading to Laughing Buddha for a navel piercing, but I had expierenced horrible customer service both times I gave them a chance. I don’t regret coming here one bit, the man I spoke to on the phone before I went was so kind and made me feel welcome. The shops decor is really sick too! My piercer was quick and knew exactly what he was doing. He explained everything to me thoroughly and was not bothered by any questions. Their jewelry selection was also larger than other shops I’ve stopped by at :)My piercing is healing great and is centered perfectly! Will definitely be recommending them to my friends and coming back when I want another!

Went here for a random helix piercing while visiting from Chicago. The two guys that were there (IM SORRY I AM BAD WITH NAMES) were SUPER helpful, nice, and very informative. They go the extra mile to sanitize everything for your piercing. I felt comfortable there and would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to get pierced. Thanks again!

Ive had ear, eyebrow, and genital piercings done here; theyre always amazingly professional, down to earth, and very patient. They have great procedures for assuring that as the person getting pierced: Im aware of the process, options available, after care, and resources in case something were to have come up after.Ive gone there post procedure to get jewelery replaced, healing wounds assessed, and advice on other body modifications. Though the cast has been known to change over the years, the show has gone on in the spirit of positive and healthy community presence. Love this place!

Had booked an appointment for a piercing unfortunately when I went to drive there, my car would not start! My battery was dead! I called as soon as the shop opened as my appointment was close to open and was told they could cancel but would charge the 35$ deposit. I understand missed appointment fees as I have to deal with them at my job at a dental practice, but there has to be some leeway for things out of a persons control. Its not like I made an appointment and had no intention of keeping, I physically would not be able to keep the appointment. Even if I tired to get there from where I live I would not have been able to make it in time. What was I supposed to do teleport?

Decided to get a helix piercing. During the whole process Cory was friendly, professional and knowledgeable. He followed all health and safety guidlines. Ive been to several piercing places in Seattle and the greater area, but Cory was the first person who really knew what he was doing. He provided a better recommendation on where I should get the piercing since my ears curve weirdly. Overall I let very satisfied and will definitely go back to Cory for more piercings.

Really nice experience getting my ears pierced. My friend and I walked in, so no appointment, but the staff was super helpful nonetheless. They were very communicative and informative about the process and after care. The shop also has some really awesome art work displayed. 10/10 would recommend.

Great experience and customer service. I was looking for something specific regarding size and stone. They did everything in their power to help me. And of course I found a pair of River Agate that I couldn’t say no to! Great pieces, go in and take a look!

Just got my septum pierced and some new jewelry for old earlobe piercings! Best experience I’ve had at a piercing studio. Very professional and kind staff. Super clean studio and space as well. I highly recommend them to anyone!

Pros: The shop was clean, they give you all the information you need to keep up with your piercing, John and Cory were nice.Con: I went in to get my nose pierced for the first time, initially everything was fine except when the piercer was fitting the post in my nose which was very hurtful. It was probably the longest process of it all. Later to find out the reason he had difficulties was he put in a post that was way too short. So my piercing kept going below the surface and I literally had to continuously puncture my nose on a daily until I was able to go back to the shop (very painful). I made an appointment but had a dilemma and couldn’t make it and had to book another appointment. So after explaining my issue after the employee (Jess) claims to be flexible, they refused to help me, so I had to pay for two additional appointments for a mistake you all made. Was hoping for a better experience since they had good ratings.

I got my septum pierced by John and he did an excellent job! He was very professional and experienced, and the environment was clean. He was very informative and walked through the cleaning and healing process. I will definitely be back.

Had a minor complication (normal, if you get enough piercings!) and the co-owner of the store was awesome enough to come in on his day off and help fix it for me. Heros. Never going anywhere else as long as I live here. Love yall.

I just came here today and was squeezed in for a navel with Cory. I have never had a higher end professional piercing and Ill be honest my expectations were pretty high, but I was kinda nervous since I havent had a piercing in so long and the last few were not so good.... Cory was super sweet and reassuring. I felt very comfortable and barely felt a thing! The covid precautions were set up and enforced. Will definitely be back for more! Thanks Cory!

Got a double lobe piercing in May with Cory. really positive piercing experience at the studio - everything was well sanitized and the actual piercing was fast and seamless. i spent about $500 total for two lobe earrings and a hoop for my helix (and tip). unfortunately, the earrings for my new piercings are too small, either the backing isn’t big enough or the actual earring is too short. the backing keeps going through the piercing and nearly coming out. i have to push both earrings through essentially repiercing my ear multiple times a day to keep the earrings from falling out completely. cory let me know when i got the piercing i could reach out to them whenever if i had any issues. i sent in an email two weeks ago, bringing up the issue and asking if i could get just the backing replaced or just simply having the piercing looked at. i never got any response. after more than a month of constantly having to push through the earrings, hurting my ears and impeding healing progress i decided to swap the earrings out with ones i owned before. so now i have $300 earrings that i can’t use. had high expectations for evolve, and did have a positive piercing experience but the lack of even a response and hundreds spent on jewelry i can’t wear definitely left me disappointed after the factupdate: changing to one star. turns out the helix hoop was put on too tight, too. i took it out and it took a while to heal and after 10 years of having the piercing it closed up. $500 spent on piercings i no longer have and jewelry i can’t use.

I purchased 3 pieces of jewellery from Evolve - although it was very expensive, I thought Id support a local business rather than shopping online. 1 of the pieces has broken less than a year later. The shop has informed me that they will not replace it because it was not a high-quality USA-made piece of jewellery. What..? I certainly paid enough that Id expect a moderately reasonable level of quality.So : shop here if you want the worst of both worlds -- low-quality import jewellery that you could buy at a quarter of the same price online, but sold to you at top-dollar boutique-store prices, and without any customer service to back it up.

Cory replaced my philtrum and septum on Thursday and was so gentle with my piercings. He explained how to remove them for an upcoming MRI and was so patient and kind. After having piercings replaced by piercers that have been rough and reopened healed piercings before he was such a delight. Cannot recommend him enough for anyone needing anything piercing related.

I got my first piercing here after being recommend by several friends. I appreciated how professional and no-nonsense the piercer was (when I got cold feet for a moment he asked me to return to the lobby until I was 100% sure. I liked that.) They were really helpful about after care as well and when my o-ring disappeared inside my ear a week later I went back and they got it out for me.

Ive previously had my earlobes pierced twice. I hadnt had any earrings in for about a year and a half, so the holes were mostly closed. The holes were also slightly asymmetrical, but John was able to reopen one of the piercings, and make a new hole for the other one.The new piercing sometimes gets itchy, but the reopened one feels like its already good as new. I anticipate the healing will be on the quicker side. Ive had no discomfort and havent noticed too much blood or discharge.I was in and out very quickly, the paperwork and waiting for the jewelry to sterilize took longer than the actual piercing. Very good with covid protocols. Great aftercare instructions as well, and I love the Briotech tropical skin spray they have.

I had a fantastic experience getting a piercing done and was so excited to find a great place to get pierced. Honestly, that first experience was a complete 10/10. I scheduled another appointment, but day of find out a coworker tested positive for COVID, and I have to go through a series of tests in order to not spread it myself. I call up to try to reschedule and let them know I had to get tested that morning and was trying to do the responsible thing, but was informed that would not reschedule after a same day cancellation. I am incredibly sympathetic to a last minute cancellation(over 5 hours notice, which in the grand scheme of a business I totally acknowledge would be hard to recoup that appointment time for another client)being hugely inconvenient, but I am certain me finding out my results come back positive and I could have spread it would be much more inconvenient for everyone involved. I couldn’t possibly have predicted being exposed to COVID or of in April of 2022 dealing with any business that wasn’t careful about spreading COVID to its staff. It is incredibly disappointing that because I was attempting to be considerate and do the right thing I am now out that money.

I decided to come here to get my nose pierced after having a great experience buying a new navel ring a few months earlier. Their attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness is above and beyond what I have experienced at other piercing places and made me feel very comfortable with getting pierced there. Cory was very helpful with answering all of my (many) questions, and I will be going back for another piercing soon!

Every employee we talked to at Evolve was great and super informative. We did walk ins and they had everything ready and were able to help us in a timely manner. The aftercare explanations were great and I had no issues with my piercing following.

Horrible service! I asked a staff member whose name was Danny If there were any body piercer‘s available today I could book online and she immediately told me no she could not let me know that over the phone. She also passed the phone along to a male staff member who I do not know the name of but he was very passively aggressive and a jerk. He dismissed me off the phone without trying to solve my problem! I was just looking for a jewelry change which is a short amount of time for a body piercing service. I don’t care if the owner said it’s not their loss losing me as a customer because I’m only one of many that have written a negative recent review about this piercing shop! 5 stars from start to finish. Professional, clean, knowledgeable and efficient. They are doing an impeccable job with their covid/overall safety.I’m in the healthcare field and am hyper-vigilant of safety/sanitation protocols. John was extremely safe and careful for the duration of my visit. He changed gloves multiple times as to prevent cross contamination in the piercing room and was deliberate when performing the piercing. He was caring throughout and was patient while explaining the process and answering my questions prior to the piercing. Not to mention he’s a super cool guy and fun to talk to!If you’re interested in getting a piercing, look no further. Don’t go to a piercing/tattoo parlor where you don’t know what you’re going to get.... Go to Evolve where all they do is piercings.

I had a great experience here, myself and two friends went in for two piercings each and they really took the time to explain placement for our nostrils and extensive aftercare. I’d definitely go here again and recommend others to as well for a piercer you can trust.

Amazing studio, staff and jewelry. We have purchased jewelry from them over the past few years. We buy their jewelry not only for personal use but to stock our studio for retail. We just made the trip from Delaware to Seattle just to have work done by them. John and Neil went above and beyond to give us the best service possible. I had two conch piercings done by Evolve and one of them was poorly done and the skin grew over the back. I was assured by one of the staff that John could take it out and when I went there he said Id need to see a doctor to get it out. I regret going to this place so much. I dont ever usually take the time to write a bad review because I get that things dont always work out the way I want to, but Im telling you this place is exceptionally bad and I urge anyone not to go here.

Owner is extremely rude.Was patronizing and condescending the entire time. Had been hoping to give my patronage to a local shop in my new area but will never be going backI bought a small metal nose post ($50???) and it did not fit through my nose. Went back 10 minutes later and the owner tried to upcharge me after I was sold something that did not fit my body. I understood of course that the post could not be returned, but I did not think I would be asked to pay a full $20 more for a new post. They cost literally cents to produce.Edit: and upon getting home again, I notice that the post they sold me is 18G after I had specifically asked for 20G! So that’s why it hurt more when I tried to install it. What terrible service

You guys must really be hurting for $35 to keep my deposit and not let me reschedule to a slot that your website says is open for an hour later.Was driving down from Bellingham on a good recommendation for your shoot and got caught in traffic. Called and left a message, then called again at open, was told I can pay another $35 to move it back an hour.Definitely dont recommend for anyone that experiences variances in their schedule.

Absolutely awful customer service. Wish I could give them zero stars. We called ahead asked if walk-ins were welcome and they told us yes and then made it seem like an ABSOLUTE INCONVENIENCE when we showed up.They were rude upon seeing us as we walked up and said nobody really takes walk ins anymore.Then suggested we go some place else.Maybe it was because they didn’t want to do it. Maybe it was because we were gay or possibly because we were in Drag. It’s a shame what Capitol Hill has turned into.

This was my first EVER piercing for a Helix (cartilage) and an Earlobe. I felt safe and sane throughout the entire time and Cory is phenomenal. Gave me the best experience from the pierce to the aftercare and walkthrough.I’m a client for life.

I’ve gotten 3 piercings from Evolve (2 in Bellingham and 1 in Seattle), and each of those piercings have given me ZERO issues - skilled piercers and high quality jewelry. I got my tragus pierced back in 2012 and still have the original jewelry in it.Professional, kind staff and a lot of jewelry options to choose from. Will def be back when I’m in town.

I told John that I have an allergy to alloys and certain metals. I spent $60 to be pierced with a niobium ring about 8 months ago. Although Ive cared for it consistently, I have a big hypertrophic scar that wont go away. I tried to talk to him about it, but he shrugged me off and told me to use chamomile. I went to a different piercer who told me this ring is niobium plated at best and isnt worth $5. He overcharges by a lot and doesnt seem to care about your body, he only cares about your money. Not only would I never go there again, I live in Seattle and tell everyone I know not to go get pierced there unless they want messed up piercings and garbage jewelry. John seems to have a middle school education at the highest and would be better suited for a career at McDonalds.Edit: Judging by the grammar in your reply, I can see I was correct in my original assumption that your education is middle school level at best. Its not plated niobium, its plated nickel alloy. Its garbage. i said that Ive had problems ever since your original piercing. The fact that my nose looks good in one picture that isnt zoomed in on the area means nothing. Would you like to see how it looks today since replacing your garbage jewelry with pure titanium?

Got piercings at a different place and went in to this one to buy solution/ask a question about healing process ; dude i spoke to talked down on the place i got my piercings at in a condescending way and made me nervous about my already completed piercings ; doesn’t feel friendly and welcoming here.

We were running a little late bc of our bikes breaking down but luckily the piercer working was very accommodating and actually did my septum quick and fast with no pain essentially. they also adjusted my partner’s earring fairly easily!

Today I got my philtrum repierced by Cory! It was originally done at Evolve years ago but I had to take it out for a surgery and the hole had closed. Evolve is honestly the best place to be pierced on Capitol Hill, if not all of Seattle! Theyre also a great place to go for high quality metal jewelry and house-made stone and semi-precious jewelry. They made my spouse and me a matching set of custom amethyst plugs for our wedding and we still cherish those pieces. 10/10, Ive only had the best experiences at Evolve.

Got my PA done there, had a great experience overall. Dont have anything to compare it to but a friend went with me and said the pre and post piercing care information was more than he got in San Fran.

I wanted to get started on gauging my lobes... One had been pierced many years ago, but was closed. I booked an appointment at Evolve, and I was a little early (10 minutes). The piercer, John, allowed me to start early. He was super informative, explaining things such as gauges of jewelry, diameter of rings, what niobium is, and explained the whole piercing process, as well as aftercare. All told, it took 30ish minutes. The lobe that had been pierced before was nearly painless, but the other lobe hurt, probably because it was new. He was very thorough in proving how sanitary the needles and niobium rings were, and he was extremely personable. Having been in retail customer service some years ago, I found his service to be superb, and I would definitely go back to Evolve for more piercings (if I decide to get more), and I will most definitely go back to gauge up. Thanks, John, you rock!

After several rejections, I decided too get my nipples re-pierced one last time at a new shop. Guess what? No rejection! Excellent staff got it perfect, barely felt it. Came back 8 months later to gauge up, and that was perfect too.Highly recommended.

This place is fantastic. Everything was ultra clean and their policies regarding COVID were super reassuring. The piercer, Cory, did a phenomenal job and is highly professional. I’ll definitely be coming back for my next piercing.

John Durante is a bamf. My bridge piercing went in like butter. Hes awesome and made me so comfortable. He was super thorough while explaining everything that was going to happen and the environment was very clean. 15/10 would let him put more holes in my face.

Only shop out of six Ive regulared in LA and Seattle that has it all. Most professional and sterile shop with REASONABLE PRICES!you have to initial your own needle to verify you know its sterile and they dont even allow you to touch your own piercings in the shop. HYGIENE ON POINT!!! Extensive collection of all sorts of plugs and tapers including a vast gemstone collection !! Experienced pierces with super rad back stories make for a wonderful experience every time and a great talk. 11/10 suggest and 12/10 suggest tipping them well!!!!

Just had one of my worst panic attacks after interacting with this shop. Ppl who own and work there are so unkind, I can’t believe how terrible they were. Honestly, remember people are going through stuff and mentally ill, you can’t treat people badly without cause. Thank god a stranger helped me calm down before I passed out outside the shop 😞Edit: as you can see in their response, and in all of their comments that start with “hey there!” they are gaslighting and avoiding responsibility. Disappointing that I can’t support a small business like this anymore

Just called to ask about a specific piercing that Ive seen listed on many piercing shop websites and was told I was making up names from the Internet that multiple piercers have never heard of, so then when I tried to explain in more detail what I was referring to, the guy said Yeah I know exactly what youre talking about, book a consultation on our website. So do they know what this piercing is or not? Or did he just feel like belittling me for no reason?Also, I wanted to say that although I preferred the piercing I was talking about, if it didnt work with my anatomy I would be happy with a similar piercing that is listed on their website. But I didnt get the chance to say that because the guy kept cutting me off and telling me to go on their website (which I had) and book a consultation (which I didnt want to do, because why pay an extra $10 when I am going to get a piercing one way or another?) I get it if he was busy with something in the shop, but he could have just said that and put me on hold instead of yelling over me.Anyways, I am not going here and instead found a much friendlier place where they immediately knew what I was talking about and happily invited me to come in anytime.

Great experience here, John is super knowledgeable and skilled, and the place is super clean. They worked with us on everything (timing, placement, style, price), while still sticking to their guns about safety. AND theres an arcade inside! Amazing, and really glad we went here.

I went here about 2ish years ago, it was a fantastic experience! I got my ears done at 4g and came back the next day for my septum. I get alot of compliments on how well the septum is placed, and thanks to that placement ive been able tl get my nose to a 6g 👌

They require $10 payment for an appointment. I was not able to make it to mine and requested to reschedule it. I was rudely told over the phone that if I had read the policy before paying for my appointment I would have known that there is no rescheduling. It would have been fine if the person on the other line had just reminded me of the policy, but he made me felt like I was wasting his time. Did not appreciate that. Will not come to this place again.

Staff was very transparent about cost, healing time/what to expect with my piercings, as well as being super friendly and professional. Everything was clean, well sterilized, in a comfortable environment!

Usually a five star custom jewelry spot in Seattle , just head down Broadway. I’ve bought from them before pre pandemic and their brass work is amazing compared to local shops In Seattle. Literally one of a kind. I recommend the spot, just look at your jewelry before you buy.

Not air-conditioned, only one poor girl working the front, quite a line of people with either odd requests like getting something put under their skin or having no idea what they wanted. I just wanted to pick up something I knew they had in stock from their website but they couldnt immediately find it. When they did find it the prices were way different. GRUMBLE. Its ok, they have the best natural and organic jewelry on the Hill so its worth it.

Extremely rude and passive aggressive. We had to prepay online for appt...strange but ok.. then we had to call at the door for entry and john durante came to the door and before we even spoke a word he verbally assaulted us assuming we both wanted to come in and shop and that was against their rules. Im not sure if he was just having a bad day or if hes always this un-evolved in treating other humans but it was totally un-called for. My wife and i left knowing we would forfeit our pre-payment because he was that out of line. The green haired girl at the desk inside must have thought it was funny because she was laughing after seeing him lash out on us. I cant remember a time ive ever been treated like this as a customer. Please dont go here, instead support a company that is grateful for their customers business

Had a bead fall off one of my piercings. Came in and was greeted with very friendly staff and got the bead replaced for free!

I loved the service! Very good, a bit expensive, but I took off two stars because they pierced too close to my cartilage and caused a huge keloid. I had to close it up and now I cant peirce near it, which is sad since it is only my second piercing.I wouldnt go back.

I went in and the clerk was instantly snooty. I described what I wanted and she pointed me in a general direction. I said I was ready and she helped someone else first chatting the whole time. When she does finally get to me she tells me to not touch my plugs on my own body and that I could not try on anything. Not acceptable! I came here from central Washington because this place was highly recommended by a friend. I was slightly nervous and had several questions for the piercer. I guess John didn’t like being asked so many questions, so he became rude and asked me to leave. The lady up front was also slightly condescending. I do not recommend this place!
