I have had two tattoos from Emma so far, one flash and one custom. Shes a fantastic artist and her, along with everyone else in the studio, is very kind and helpful. The studio space is beautiful with lots of great art and natural light that feels very comfortable to be in.

Got this small flash tattoo by Alexander Hayden at the Elevation Project! Very charming and clean studio, casual and comfortable atmosphere. Alex was great to work with, easy-going yet methodical and super precise! All the artists here seem lovely and I would definitely come back. Highly recommend!

Recently visited Elevation to work with Alexander on a flash piece. I had the best experience. Working with Alexander you can just immediately tell he takes the utmost pride in his work and approaches each piece with a perfectionists eye. It allows for me the client to be able to just sit back, relax, and know that Im in good hands.The Elevation Project space was also so convenient to get to and was the most welcoming. It made the 4 hrs fly by being in a space like this.

I recently came across Elevation Project while exploring Capitol Hill, and their sign immediately caught my eye. As someone who had never gotten a tattoo before, I was definitely nervous, but Emma Larkin made the whole experience feel easy.I didn’t have a specific design in mind, so I gave Emma a lot of creative control. I brought in some references, like pictures of my own plants, and she took it from there. Emma did an amazing job of turning my general ideas into something that felt personal and unique. Being a non-artsy person, I really didn’t know how to ask for what I wanted. She was great at communicating throughout the process, making sure I was comfortable with how things were shaping up. Emma was also really open to feedback and didn’t hesitate to try out different ideas until we found the right fit.The studio itself is a really creative space. It’s filled with incredible art, much of which Emma created herself. The atmosphere is welcoming, and it’s a place I’m definitely looking forward to visiting again. Whether for another tattoo or just to check out one of their art events.I also want to give a shoutout to Alex, the apprentice, who was incredibly supportive throughout the whole process. Being my first tattoo, I was pretty anxious, but Alex was right there to help me feel more at ease. Their support really made a difference and added to the positive experience. He was hyping me up more than I expected, and it was really appreciated.I’m someone who can be a bit socially awkward, so I really appreciated how comfortable Emma and Alex made me feel. Emma was patient and made sure I was happy with the art. That attention to detail and willingness to take the time with me really stood out.I’m super happy with my tattoo and already thinking about coming back—either to add more to the piece Emma did or to work with another artist at Elevation Project. If you’re in Capitol Hill and considering a tattoo, this is definitely a studio worth checking out.

Let me rock you out about the experience I had at this most excellent studio. First things, the ambience was set like I had just ventured into a French studio of some golden era artists hangout. Incredible art captures your eyes at every inch while also offering comfort in every way. Not only was I greeted happily by my tattoo artist Alexander, but was even offered a donut by him! Next thing, were getting ready for placement, which we all know is key but when your artist is the one taking the added time to make sure its perfect, then you know youre on to something special. After this proceeds one of the best bonding sessions a guy could ask for along with a sick tattoo! If youre lucky enough to get Alexander, youll be whisked away in a world of travel, adventures, music, art, and a good therapy session. The dude is basically a pure shot of serotonin to the soul. I was beyond fortunate to find Alexander Hayden on instagram while doom scrolling and not only did he bring my idea to fruition but surpassed my own expectations. Get your butt, arm, leg, neck, chest, whatever part of your body needing that sting of ink, to Elevation Project ASAP! You wont regret it!

I have several tattoos from Emma and they are all so beautiful. I have gotten so many compliments on them. Emma is not only a very talented artist but she is wonderful to work with. The process of designing the tattoo was very easy and she is both thorough and quick. Her new studio space is lovely. I highly recommend working with Emma!

Everyone was so nice and welcoming! Nalisha and Alex tattooed me and were very informative and kind. They’re very understanding of any request you may have such as taking a break or moving a stencil. The studio is very cozy as well!

This was my first tattoo and I worked with Emma. She was amazing from start to finish, she was fun to talk to and answered so many questions while walked me through the whole process and created an amazing original piece.

I worked with Nalisha Estrellas to get a modified version of one of their flash designs. Scheduling and consultation was easy and the shop is welcoming and beautiful.

Artists are all extremely welcoming and talented. Bonus points for the beautiful space.
