Hidden Hand Tattoo

My first tattoo, and Im 55 yo! I had called, emailed, and visited, a few other tattoo shops in Seattle. Some seemed tepid, some privileged, and some seemed that I was lucky to get a consult. From the first email response to the finish of my piece everything was professional and welcoming. Eric Eaton was my Tattoo artist. When Eric saw my email and saw that I wanted a Toltec piece on my arm he was jazzed, he told me so during my in person consult. We talked for a good hour about the piece I wanted, and the research that he was going to do. Eric put in, how many hours, I dont know, but he came back with far more info on the piece than I. Great music, everyone asking about what music to play, and other artist with free time stopping by to talk with me to distract me from the annoyance of tattoo pain. Also a great comfort was that a regular from my former restaurant job was a tattoo artist at Hidden Hand! In the end, the detail that Eric researched and placed on my arm was far beyond expectation. I am very happy with the whole experience and the finished product displayed on my arm by Erics incredible talent and skill. In the end, the last 15 minutes still hurt quite a bit, its part of the journey folks. Thanks again to Eric, and all at Hidden Hand Tattoo!!

I walked in earlier today with no appointment and the guys were able to get me going! It had been a while since I’ve gotten a tattoo and Steven reassured me they were able to fill me in. I’d been wanting to get a crow for a long time and wasn’t sure about sizing or style. Mike took care of me and was transparent about creativity, sizing, placement and price which were all reasonable especially for the high quality. I’m definitely getting another tattoo from Mike in the near future because of his excellent artistry. I live down the street and my only regret is that I wish I found this shop earlier because the Hidden Hand team have a happy and returning customer! Thanks guys! 10/10 🙌

Had a great experience here about a decade ago as did a friend who had a very detailed geometrical custom piece done. I did an on-line request for a specific artist and was referred to someone else (found out later on my own that artist had sadly passed away). I was very clear that I wanted a custom color piece in my booking request. Walked in and the artist asked Wheres your picture? No hello, or welcome, or anything. I explained I didnt have a picture with me, but could describe what I was looking for. He told me to pick something off the internet because no one has time for custom pieces. I walked out. Spent nearly an hour drive time, fifteen minutes looking for parking, and about 5 total minutes in the shop. If you dont do custom work, thats fine, but be upfront about and dont waste everyones time.

I have had some old tattoos on my arm that I have been meaning to coverup. One day, while walking through Fremont I stumbled into Hidden hand tattoo, just to see what could be done. Right off the bat the vibes in here are very accepting and fun. Music playing, and smiles all around, I knew I liked this place immediately from the atmosphere.I was then introduced to my new artist Cesar, who completely understood what style of tattoo I wanted. After only a day, he had a mockup that was perfectly suited for my coverup needs. A few days later, he crushed it out and I had a brand new glistening piece of ink that really represents me, and matches the tone of my other ink. Probably my favorite tattoo by far, and will most CERTAINLY be using Cesar and the Hidden Hand services for my future tattoo endeavors to come. This place really is a hidden gem of a place. I came in with a very specific tattoo in mind of my sisters and my birth flower with no sketch and provided just the style of tattoo I like with the type of flowers, and from just a 15 minute consultation with tanner he was able to get exactly what I wanted and he made the sketch! I am extremely impressed with how quickly he completed it with such detail, and I could not be more happy with the result :) everyone was very friendly, and the shop clearly prioritizes cleanliness!! I would highly recommend and I will definitely come back if I want any other tattoos!

Went in for a walk in with a couple of friends the other day. While my friends were getting their tattoo (by Kyle, who was great!) I was waiting in the lobby and Chad was consulting another guy who walked in. He was super rude to them about the style he wanted and just wasn’t professional at all. I had wanted to get my tattoo done by Kyle as well but Chad stepped in offering to help due to time. He made the adjustments I wanted and I kept noting how picky I was with little details. The stencil and placement looked good but I got a cat with a couple small whiskers and the whiskers bled into each other and some of the other linework was pretty sloppy. It didn’t match the stencil completely so it seemed like he free handed some of it. Felt very rushed and he even said he goes super quickly. Overall just not a pleasant guy or experience with Chad

These people are truly good people and amazing artists. This is the way. Jim was efficient and kind in responding to my inquiry earlier the evening about availability the shop would have this week, and low and behold he was able to schedule me that night. Jim is fantastic, be like Jim.Kyle was endlessly phenomenal in the whole process of collaboration, placement, and tattooing. I had a happy and comfortable experience, getting the Web of Wyrd symbol on the upper side of my thigh. Kyle provided me with resources for aftercare and I appreciated his advice on keeping the site clean during the healing process, as this is my largest tattoo thus far. Kyle is awesome, be like Kyle.Hidden Hand Tattoo has all the good vibes ✨️ professional, clean and well decorated. They all actually like each other and it shows! I saw Tanner for a tattoo. Keep in mind I saw him once previously with no issues at all. For this second and most recent appointment, he initially placed the tattoo stencil and was about to begin working on it before even offering for me to get up and look at the placement. I had to cut him off before he started so I could check it, and I’m glad I did because it wasn’t in the right spot. We were able to move it to the right place and all seemed good from there… until I got home and saw that the design was done upside down. I reached out and was going to go back in to see what could be done to fix it, but there was really no logical way to fix the mistake, and honestly I didn’t trust my body in their hands anymore. Not to mention, a few days later on Tanner’s instagram story, there was a meme making fun of a certain kind of customer who oddly fit my demographic and what happened on the day of my appointment. It’s a shame that such an irresponsible mistake was made when I had otherwise fine experiences with both Tanner and one other artist here.

We talked with Kyle. He was very easy going, had some great ideas, is a true artist and master at his craft. Every artist at hidden hand is a master. In a world full of tattoo shops, this one stands above and beyond all others.

Came for my first tattoo and found everyone I interacted with to be warm and welcoming, which as a newbie was greatly appreciated. Eric was excellent and was really patient and accommodating with my design. Would recommend.

Some years back the owner of this shop gave me the sloppiest tattoo I’ve ever had. Pretty certain he was upset with me because I said I wasn’t into piecemeal tattoo styles when he asked me why I wanted my minimalist tattoo and questioned my choice, because piecemeal is his style. Even after a touchup he made it look like garbage. So thanks, owner man for not being able to deal with someone different than you and providing awful service. Watch what you say around this guy.

Absolute best experience! I contacted them with my personal idea. I recently got my US citizenship, and I am from Ukraine, so the idea was to do the double tattoo representing both. We worked with Chad on the design, and, once agreed upon, he started working. The tattoos came out very nice and shiny. He is super sweet, btw! After couple of months, I came back to discuss the results. Chad decided that the tattoos may benefit from a touch-up, so he saturated some portions with new color FOR FREE. Definitely coming back when I have new ideas!

Sad to hear about Jeff. He did a memorial piece for my dad. I’ll remember him until the day I leave this place. He was a great guy to be around and I can only imagine an even better dad. Hidden Hand continues to be my favorite studio I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with and I hope the shop continues to flourish in Jeff’s memory.

My wife and I currently dont live in WA, so when my dad mentioned he was thinking about getting a tattoo, we immediately began looking up shops that would be able to accommodate the three of us while we were there for a recent visit. Hidden Hand Tattoo was extremely helpful and communicative in making this work, which was super useful as planning a tattoo from afar isnt the easiest.Once there, we worked with Tanner who does exceptional work. Highly recommend him for anything in the world of black and gray. Not only did he create exactly what we were looking for, he was professional and timely about it as well. While no one in our party deviated much from what he created and where he put it, we all got the impression that he would be open to our input as well as give guidance if needed to help make sure the tattoo best aligns/contours with the body.If youre thinking about a tattoo, do yourself a favor and reach out to this shop!

I recently went in to get some work done (by Moi) and everyone there was so friendly and professional! Clean shop, great work, and lots of different tattoo styles. Would recommend, will be back!

The artist was great, really worked with me to make sure the tattoo came out exactly how I wanted it. Having gotten multiple tattoos, I didn’t enjoy the booking process ver much. I felt patronized by the individual that was emailing with me. That’s why I only give it 4 stars but otherwise it was a good experience. If you go there ask for Caesar.

I cannot recommend Hidden Hand more. This last weekend, my daughter, me, and my mom got a tattto here. This was the first tattoo for my daughter and my mom. There were a lot of nerves, but Chad Ronillo is the absolute best. He was kind, had an amazingly calm voice, told us what he was doing every step of the way, and very encouraging. Plus our tattoos look great, did not hurt too bad and are healing quite nicely. My mom being a nurse was really concerned about cleanliness of the shop prior to getting to the shop. She was really impressed though as she walked into the shop and watched the cleaning process that happened between each tattoo. She said that the cleaning process was just as intense as in her hospital. I would recommend this shop and Chad to anyone - especially first timers. Thanks for a fabulous experience!

I LOVED this tattoo shop from the moment I walked in! I was greeted with smiles and brought water. Showed up 15-20 min late because my phone died and was using GPS, and still received happy faces and we got right to work. The music was pleasant behind the scenes. My tattooist was Mike Tidwell. A really interesting guy originally from Texas that loves movies (he put me onto war games from the 80’s) and eats out too much. Lol. We finished 1 of 2 sessions, but he finished the first session in a very good location so the tattoo doesnt seem incomplete. I received compliments everywhere, since. The post-care/ 5 stars. He put this transparent square Band-Aid over the tattoo after and it hasn’t even scabbed yet and doesn’t feel like sunburn. Never had a tattoo heal so nice! Thats all one patient can ask for. Unbelievable work and artists/managers who care as much as you do. In the end, its permanent. Maybe it should be nice.

I followed my artist, Kyle Decory, over to Hidden Hand Tattoo from another reputable shop in Seattle. Kyle is the BEST! Clean line work, detailed shading, and hes brilliant at placement. He helped construct my visions for my full arm sleeve and his recommendations were better than anything I could come up with or send him via Pinterest and/or Google. Kyle is very friendly, easy to talk to, and makes getting a tattoo a comfortable and fun experience. I recommend him to anyone, but especially if its your first tattoo just because his positive attitude and kindness makes you feel like you are hanging out with a friend :-) I just scheduled my third session to complete the larger pieces on my arm and I have already gotten so many compliments on my incomplete sleeve. Random people will say that line work is so clean, your artist did an awesome job, and the quality of your tattoos are a lot better than other artists Ive seen. Book with Kyle! You will NOT regret it.The shop is clean, the gal who works the desk and phones is super bubbly and nice, the office manager is friendly, and all of the other artists were cool and came over to check out what I was getting done.I highly recommend this shop!

Feeling defeated... 😕Went to this shop today to schedule a consultation (since I was already in the area) and Ive gotten a tattoo there already a while ago. The person at the front desk ignored me for about a minute, even tho I said hi. I stayed around and I guess that since I did not leave, he did not have other alternative than to acknowledged me. He looked up and said Whats up!? in a nasty attitude. After I told him why I was there and showed him my initial idea, he told me NO and when I asked for an explanation he only said Well, idk just tradition... You have other parts where you can get a tattoo or go to another shop.. He did not even asked or put effort in knowing if I was thinking on any other tattoos in addition or had other ideas or area etc... nor he let me book the consultation.Context: I limited my talking since apparently he had a hard time understanding what I was saying?? I work at corporate and have never experienced someone not understanding what I am saying. I have five tattoos already, some are very visible, and am an adult that knows what he wants and where. I think through my ideas for a while, so this was not an impulsive decision. Also, treat me like a human. Now Im back home feeling really anxious and thinking what did I say or did wrong. Im a person of color, with a very thick accent, plus I have to deal with anxiety and going to places by myself is on itself a challenge - and then stuff like this happen.Anyway - beware that the 1st time I went to get a tattoo there (about 2yrs ago) everyone was really nice and I was happy with the result. This particular dude was not there at that time I guess.

I came in to get a cover up of an older tattoo and Jeff was absolutely amazing. He matched the colors to blend the two together and it turned out amazing. I love it. Friendly people and a great atmosphere, the music was great. I highly recommend getting your tattoos done here.

I stopped by on a whim when I was staying in Fremont, and was able to get a next day appointment with Marco. The shop has an incredibly welcoming vibe, and I was immediately impressed by how clean, bright, and personable the space is. I gave Marco my idea(s), and he said he would get something drawn up for me. When I arrived for my appointment I fell in love with what he had drawn up.... It was better than what I had in mind! He was very efficient and professional, and I left so stoked on my new ink. Id highly recommend this shop, and intend to go back on my next Seattle visit!!

I had an awesome experience here. The atmosphere is relaxing, and the staff is super friendly. Neat location right in the heart of Fremont. My artist was Chad Ronilo, who I cannot recommend highly enough. He was able to fit me in just a few days in advance, warn me about the limitations of the design I wanted, and was able to make helpful recommendations. His art is top-notch, and hes a super friendly guy.Also, the staff had a solid music playlist going.

Ive been working with Kyle DeCory on a leg sleeve (leg warmer??) and hes been so great: excited about the design, prepared, and obviously talented with his skill. Im so thrilled with the results so far!

I really cant say enough good things about Chief. He undertook the difficult task of covering up a poorly done colored half sleeve tattoo on my left arm. After plowing through a handful of sessions absolutely no trace of the old tattoo or color is visible and instead I now have a completely awesome looking black and gray octopus. Chief was super professional and rad and put in a lot of work to make this happen. Couldnt have imagined a better outcome. Thank you so much!

A huge thanks to Hidden Hand Tattoo for being so easy to work with. They answer their emails in a timely fashion and really work with you. I got my very first tattoo about a year ago and Andre turns out that I didnt probably takes the best care of it. There were faded areas and it needed a good touch up. When I called to schedule my appointment for the touch up (of my relatively small tat) I was informed that touch ups can be done for free within 6 months and I was near the year mark since I had gotten it. When I arrived at my appointment my artist was friendly and asked lots of questions about how I cared for it previously and felt bad and apologized. I was given a lot of instructions on how to properly care for my tattoo during the healing process and when I went to go pay for the touch up they told me it was on the house! You dont get much for free in Seattle so I was super thankful for their generosity and kindness, especially since it was a tattoo in memory of a lost loved one.

I cant say enough good things about this tattoo shop. To start, the atmosphere is beautiful and has many varied and unique decorations, not to mention friendly staff working there. I got my tattoo done by Marco Sullivan. The design is of two large rose blooms, both on my left side, beginning by my armpit and wrapping around down to my left hip/stomach area, connected by black line swirls. The tattoo is more beautiful than I could have imagined. Marco is truly an artist. If I ever get any work done again, it will be here.

Mike did a phenomenal job on my lady, me, and me buddy. Super fast, very very friendly and had the most steady hand ever. The shop was very clean. Dont let the location scare your away. Would highly recommend 10 out of 10 for much. Much love and respect!

Got my first Tattoo ever with Jamie last week. My wife and I went in with an idea for a Celtic cross and some numbers on my right wrist. Jamie helped us pick the perfect design. The tattoo was on in about an hour. Looks perfect. Jamie is a stoic, detailed artist. Not a lot of chit chat once hes focused in which was great. I just watched a movie on my iphone and trusted him to get it done. Great shop, great artist, great vibe, great tattoo. If I need another, I know where to go.

After having bad experiences at several other shops I found Hidden Hand. After looking at their website and portfolios I determined that I wanted to get a tattoo done by Jeff. I sat down with him for 20 minutes and explained what I wanted. I had some scheduling issues that the shops management staff handled promptly and professionally. Jeff delivered fantastic art work that incorporated everything I wanted and more ideas which I loved. My tattoo was a partial cover up and memorial tattoo. The tattoo Jeff delivered was so thoughtful that when I saw it for the first time I was in tears. My family, friends and I could not believe the art he was able to produce. Thank you Jeff. I would definitely recommend this shop to anyone.

Moi is awesome, super caring, thoughtful, goes above and beyond for the customer. He did a lengthy cover up piece on my rib and was awesome. Cant recommend him or this business enough.

Staff was friendly and followed appropriate COVID protocol. The artist was attentive and responsive to my ideas and thoughts. He was very helpful in putting my idea together into what will be an amazing tattoo!

Only got some linework done here and the artist was rude, patronizing, and unpleasant over all. To do just linework on my arm, i had to lay down and stay perfectly still, or else hed stop all together and scold me.Conversation was awkward, as he said 2 things to me the entire session (excluding scolding and introductions), and he was 25 minutes late because he had to take a smoke break. His name is Chad and he is the sole reason why I will never return to this shop.The 2 stars are just for the general ambiance of the store. One bad artist shouldnt ruin the entire store.

Jamie King gave me a fabulous traditional tattoo of a gypsy woman and roses. The tattoo turned out great and he was really nice. David the desk guy was also awesome. I love my new tattoo!

I got a great black and grey tattoo from April Cornell. Shes really nice and the tattoo is beautiful. The shop is clean and nice and they play good music. A great experience and Ill be back!

I wanted a piece that meant alot to me due to a lost family member. Hidden hand was the best choice I couldve made because they took all my needs and design ideas and made it a reality and they are extremely generous with their pricing. Any tattoo needs I recommend hidden hand!

Jeff does unbelievable work. This was definitely one of the best tattoos experiences Ive had. My daughter has her 18th birthday coming up and wants to get her first tattoo and Hidden Hand is where Ill bring her.

Jeff did my lion tattoo and most artists seemed shocked he took on the product. It turned out amazing! I get stopped on the street sometimes. I don’t think I could be happier.

I paid $40 for Roni to draw a sketch of a mermaid before tattooing it. I gave her one picture for the face and another picture for the body. The face was supposed to be drawn with a half smile while the original picture had a pout. The sketch Roni drew had the body of the picture that was supposed to be used for the face only! Her idea of a half smile was the original pouting lips with curves on the edges, kinda like the Joker in Batman. I nicely asked her to start over, and she told me to take my pictures and go elsewhere. She was quite rude, and both she and owner Jeff Cornell refused to refund even a portion of my money. The picture of the face I provided was computer animated and perfectly symmetrical. Ronis sketch was glaringly asymmetrical. I chose Roni because I particularly liked 2 tattoos in her book. I later saw 1 of these 2 tattoos in a portfolio at another tattoo shop! Unless you want something simple or a copy of a picture, dont use Roni. If a customer has a problem, the owners attitude is, I dont care.

Couldnt be happier. Came in with a simple idea for my first tattoo and Tanner gave me great recommendations and came up with a beautiful piece Ill cherish forever.
