West Seattle tattoo rocks. Shop is super clean, aesthetic, and fun to be in. Everyone there is super nice and professional. Julie is an incredible artist, super friendly, and has a space that puts you at ease. Her tattoo skills are unmatched by any other and if you’re looking for bright colors you will not find anyone better. Application is super clean, she’s gentle (as much as you can be), and she’s always super prepared and ready for you the second you walk in- no long waits here, and she tattoos really fast also! I’ve been tattooed by Julie at West Seattle tattoo four times and I’ll keep going back because it’s always an amazing experience. I highly recommend.

The group here is awesome, wicked talented and super wonderful to work with! Daniel just tattooed a pet portrait of my dog and I am so happy with how it turned out. He captured my best buddy perfectly! I will definitely be back for more tattoos in the future.

I had my tattoo done with Julie- first time going to her. I’ve been wanting one of hers since I first came across her website- her fun, funky, 80’s style and Kawaii vibe and bright bold colors drew me in!!I got a leopard star in the “Lisa Frank” inspired theme.It is sooooo good.The shop is adorable, very fun and awesome 80’s themed fonts. There’s a spin wheel to decide what to get, or Julie’s flash drawings are to die for!!I loved the super comfortable chair with leg rests she had- way to go!!!The tattoo itself is AH-MAZING!!! This is why you go to an awesome artist!!The after care packet I got was perfect. I get my ink from different artists each time and love when they do this!! So professional and very fun and helpful!!Definitely recommend!!Also when done- I walked a block or two down to Moto Pizza and had their bomb lunch pizza and soft serve- so good!!

I am an older dude that went to Daniel for the first time almost 4 years ago to get a re-work and some new work. Since then, he has been guiding me on my ink journey for a full sleeve in color on one arm, and blacks on the other. Cant say enough about the good vibes of the shop and the people that work there. Looking forward to completing my other sleeve!

I have now received two lovely pieces from the talented Julie Sas. Her flash is a kick of nostalgia in the Lisa Frank funny bone.The shop was professional, timely, and priced appropriately for the quality of the work. Each of my pieces left me very satisfied especially my 007 N64 Cartridge.Julie is a true professional and understands that the occasional shake can happen in those tender spots. Just nice people with a nice vibe in a colorful shop.I do not doubt that I will return for another piece sometime in the future.Thanks!!

Super easy experience! Walked in, was greeted pretty quickly by Adam, who did my pieces, & I was out in an hour! Definitely coming here in the future for my walk ins & look forward to booking a tattoo with Adam for a bigger, time consuming piece, though any artist here would be amazing!

Best tattoo shop in West Seattle! I took a sleeve journey with Daniel. He was great. During our sessions he did everything he could to keep me comfortable: manipulating my skin around bone and ligaments, taking breaks every few hours to let my skin calm down, and using Bactine to dull the pain during breaks.Artwork was excellent. My older brother who HATES tattoos and thinks I’m dumb for getting them, admitted my sleeve was a “work of art.” High praise for Daniel and the gang at West Seattle Tattoo.

Ive gotten 2 tattoos from Julie over the past year (one custom and one flash), and she is absolutely incredible. I am really picky with the quality of the tattoos I receive, and Julie is the real deal! Both pieces have healed beautifully and I could not be happier with them. Julies incredibly talented with color, and her designs are super cute. Shes great to work with, and the tattoos heal very well over time. These two are seriously the coolest, most down the earth couple with a shop to match! After seeing my coworkers amazing tattoo from Daniel Sas, I set up an appointment with Julie Sas and was immediately blown away with the attention to detail in turning the idea in my head into a gorgeous design. They also take Covid very seriously and have strict guidelines and sanitary standards which was very reassuring. Highly recommend checking them out!!

My best friend and I were walk-in customers on a beautiful Sunday afternoon and both walked away very happily satisfied with our tattoos! Professional, knowledgeable, and friendly artists! The atmosphere was great! IMO the playlist of music was amazing! Highly recommend!!

Not in my 40 years of being a mother, have I ever seen such sloppiness, laziness, and absolute filth of staff. Im not sure how this parlor is even in business for how they tend to their business. My queer son stopped by one day, and got a rainbow tattoo, but it looked like a road from Mario Cart. This malnourished man named Matt, absolutely butchered my sons beautiful body and is stained for life. When I arrived, it rank of the devils lettuce, and my son who has sensitive lungs was harshly affected. I think this corporation needs to feed their employees before they start their business (I make a beautiful casserole). I am so disappointed in this business, and I think they need to get act together, please take this into consideration and make sure before you paint permanent pictures on people, you eat up and stop smoking that za!

Had a very pleasant experience here! Julie was amazing and has given me a beautiful piece. I am quite happy that I decided to get one of her flash designs! It’s super cute and I love how she was totally ok with my suggestions about color. I am already looking at her other flash designs. I appreciate that she was patient with me and my embarrassing twitching leg, even though she was tattooing my forearm. Love the tattoo shop aesthetic and style! Every one was super friendly. The atmosphere here is what every shop should be.

Absolutely awesome experience here. Shop is super friendly but not in a corporate annoying way. Lots of artists at work/music playing. I did not have an appointment and was able to get a slot for my small but fairly detailed tattoo. As for the quality of the work I was blown away!! I asked the artist to replicate a small sketch that was on a postcard and was hoping to get close. They absolutely nailed it! Every pen mark was replicated, matched varying line thickness perfectly, and overall it turned out amazing. Pricing was fair and they even gave me a nice little after care package as I left. Great spot - great vibes.

Wouldn’t even rate 1 star due to it being my sisters 18th birthday and Matt the tattoo artist spelling BWO instead of BMO. The image of the tattoo got flipped and it’s the other way. I mentioned it infront if Julie and the artist and they ignored me instead of addressing it they charged 200$ for misspelled line work.They were talking about “it’s not even 4:20 yet” instead of addressing the mistake and fixing it with a significant discount. She left a review and they backed the tattoo artist up and blaming her saying they trust the tattoo artists attention to detail. She said it was her first tattoo done in a shop and he corrected her saying “first real tattoo”. Yeah “real” messed up.The photo on the left is the actual tattoo and the photo on the right was the photo she gave Matt. What attention to detail did he have because the image is flipped and again the W is upside down. Notice how the two buttons on the bottom right of the tattoo are horrible as well? Yeah no this was a horrible experience and I hope they never do that to anyone again but I doubt that’ll happen.Going to be seeking legal help with the issue. Julie herself just seemed rude , doesn’t say hi back and has RBF horribly. Sad because I was planning on getting tattooed here but I hope someone reads this and goes to a different shop instead.UPDATE: SO THEYRE LYING NOW ONCE AGAIN! WE DIDNT TAKE THE REVIEW DOWN THEYRE MAD THEY MESSED UP A TATTOO AND WANNA LIE ABOUT IT! My friend and I had the best experience getting tattoos at West Seattle Tattoo yesterday.We arrived to the shop, where there was plenty of street parking and entered into a super clean, well decorated shop with tons of very happy plants.Our artist was Matt / @blackmonolith ..Matt chatted with us about placement and color, then he brought us back to the table where he tattooed me, then my friend.Both of our tattoos turn out great!He wasn’t egotistical or annoyed that we came together which led to us having some fun conversation.After settling up we were given pouches with tattoo aftercare directions, coconut oil, stickers and candy.I have a few other tattoos and I’ve never been given such a thoughtful gift after an appointment.My friend and I work together at a busy salon in Downtown Seattle and we’re excited to tell people about our experience.We will both definitely be back!Thanks for everything, Matt!

I recently got a custom leg tattoo from Daniel at West Seattle Tattoo and I couldn’t be happier with the experience and the quality of his work. The tattoo shop was very clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful.Daniel was extremely professional and highly skilled, it’s no surprise to me that he’s won multiple awards at the yearly Seattle Tattoo Expo.My tattoo is beyond my expectations in the quality that he was able to bring to the piece. I loved the atmosphere of this tattoo shop, everyone was so kind, attentive, and helpful in helping me achieve the tattoo I wanted. I worked with Dan (I think that’s their name I might be wrong?) and he was so patient and went back and reconfigured my tattoo to look exactly the way I wanted it. Plus they gave me an aftercare kit that is helping me take care of my tattoo during the healing process. I’d definitely recommend going here!

I had such an amazing experience at West Seattle Tattoo and with Julie. Im a few months out from getting my tattoo with her, and everything from getting the tattoo itself to the healing experience was fabulous.I came in as a walk-in to get my very first tattoo, not really knowing what to expect, and Julie graciously worked with me on adding her personal spin on a design I had in mind. She was patient with me on deciding placement and walking me through what to expect throughout the process. In the end she did a wonderful job that was quicker and much less painful than I expected. I also followed the aftercare instructions to a T, and my tattoo healed wonderfully - it never even got itchy as it healed! A few months later my tattoo has settled nicely. The colors and lines are still bold and crisp, and I (still!) cant stop admiring it. I highly recommend this shop, especially Julie. I cant wait to come back again. Thanks for a great experience!

Julie was so welcoming right from the start. She has a great spot with a chair in the front window. The place is easy to find using google maps. I came from out of town and it was well worth the hours of travel from CA to Seattle. Julie’s tattoos look exactly like her virtual drawings - it’s crazy! She has a gentle hand so it doesn’t hurt too bad. She was able to make a couple quick color revisions on the spot. I loved my experience and my tattoo has healed beautiful. It’s been over 6 months and still looks fresh. The colors are vibrant and pop, she even put a glitter sparkle effect on some of the hearts.

Bailey did an awesome job with my tattoo. The people there were super friendly and the place were well organized and clean! This is my second tattoo from this shop within a year. I probably will come back for another!

Its worth taking a few minutes to mention that I am SO HAPPY with my tattoo from Julie! She took my ideas and went out of her way by scheduling a second consultation to ensure I was happy with the final design. I am so in love with it. I flew out from Minnesota to Seattle just to get tattooed by Danial Sas. He did some amazing work on me a few years back, I had to come check out West Seattle Tattoo. I loved how clean the shop was! All of the artists there were extremely nice and they even have stickers! Sas did some more wonderful tattoos that I know will be here forever because of the quality of work. Highly recommend!

Took my dad there for his first tattoo at 67 yo - I can’t say enough good things about the amazing experience we had. Dan the owner was patient, funny and very talented. The place is spotless and the result is beautiful. I definitely recommend this place.

I worked with Julie and chose one of her lovely flash designs of a neo-traditional rose last fall. Julie worked with me to find the best placement for the tattoo and Im so happy with the result. She tattoos fairly quickly but it doesnt take away from quality. Her line work is beautiful as well as her use of color. My tattoo has a vibrant teal color and gold tones though in her other work Ive noticed shes also really good with soft glowing pastels too. The tattoo healed up perfectly and I get so many compliments on it! Both artists here are very talented so Im glad I got the chance to get some work done and support them at their new establishment. The shop is very communicative, professional, clean and friendly. Overall great experience! Thanks Julie!!

I got a tattoo yesterday for my 18th birthday and the tattoo artist was matt, i got bmo from adventure time and he tattooed the m as a w and was rude the entire time i was there, same with julie, i do not recommend matt or julie, they seriously need to learn how to treat people who are paying them, $200 for a small only linework tattoo that was messed up and he did the m upside-down.

I had an excellent result from working with Woods Bramble at West Seattle Tattoo. He deeply understands Japanese tattoos and worked with me to produce an outcome that met all my expectations. Hes very fast, precise, and has a great sense of artistry. I wholeheartedly recommend him and will definitely go to him again for future tattoos.

My boyfriend and I went in for some walk in tattoos. Super cute place! And a great staff. I ended up getting faint and sick, I was so embarrassed, but they were lovely and patient! They also sent me home with a little care package which I have never received at another tattoo shop! Oh, and I love my tattoo!! Great line work.

When I was looking for someone to create a hip hop themed sleeve I had researched dozens of artists looking for someone that could give me the level of detail and perfection that I wanted from my portraits.After meeting Sas it was clear that he shared my vision and was willing to do whatever it took for us to create the perfect piece. After several sessions it was apparent that I not only found an amazingly passionate and talented tattoo artist, but also someone I now consider a friend.The hip hop tribute sleeve was so incredible we received awards at the Minnesota Tattoo Convention!I would highly recommend Sas Ink to anybody that is in the market for a highly professional tattoo created by a perfectionist who takes great pride in his work! AMAZING PORTRAIT TATTOO ARTISTS!My Wife and I were looking to get a couple tattoos done, I wanted one on my inner forearm and she wanted a half sleeve. I wanted a detailed tattoo of my children’s newborn feet, and my wife wanted some portraits done. After looking for a few weeks we had found Daniel online, his portraits were incredible and far exceeded the quality of anybody else in our area.We immediately made an appointment for a consultation and sent him our photos we had for our ideas. We met with him a few days later and he already had a full sketch of my wife’s tattoo, which really blew us away. Mine was a fairly simple tattoo idea, but after seeing what he did with my wife’s design I decided I wanted to get portraits done also.I discussed with Daniel that I wanted to change my design to a portrait of my kids, he was excited to take on the project. I found the pictures I wanted to use that night and sent them to him. He had a concept for me within a couple days, and he really hit it out of the park. His concept worked perfect for the placement of the tattoo, and was exactly what I was looking for.We immediately set appointments for our tattoos and got the ball rolling. Daniel was very flexible with his availability and we were able to get started right away. My tattoo was done in 2 sessions. The 2nd session was more of a touch up session to fix a few issues that came up during the healing process.Everything turned out amazing, and overall it was a really great experience. Daniel and Julie are really awesome people that offer exceptional tattoo expertise and have years of experience. This is another, extremely belated review for Julie Sas, who I worked with a second time to create another tattoo! The two appointments it took to complete the piece were in January and February 2021.This design was based on one that was part of one of her 90s object flash sheets. Someone else got the original off the sheet, but Julie was willing to draw up another version of that same object per my requested size specs and color palette. As with the first piece, this one was a perfect fit for my body (top of the foot) and looks amazing in its final and several-months-healed form.As in my last review, everything about the shop was comfortable, clean, and according to industry standards. Julie had the design printed and ink poured in advance, and she took great care to get the stencil positioned correctly on my foot. The shop is still following its COVID-19 protocol (temperature checks & a separate waiver) in addition to its normal check in procedures. The space remains clean and well ventilated, and both artists and clients are still wearing masks correctly.Heres the kicker and another reason Im enthusiastic about writing a second review for this gem of an artist. The tattoo is about 3 x 4, so quite small, but it is in a particularly painful area (again, top of the foot). The thing I want to emphasize in this review is how unbelievably patient and accommodating Julie was throughout this multi-session (!) tattoo. We got the lines done on the first go, and my very average pain tolerance and I had to tap out because ladies and gentlemen, having the top of your foot tattooed is NO JOKE. NO JOKE AT ALL.Julie was very understanding and was willing to schedule a second appointment to get the color completed. She also gave a recommendation to use a topical anesthetic cream (Dr. Numb) several hours in advance of the second appointment to reduce the pain, which did seem to help. We got the color completed during the second session, the tattoo healed just fine and with no complications, and now I have yet another beautiful piece completed by Julie Sas!Despite this one being significantly smaller than the first one she created on my behalf, the color remains vibrant and complementary, and her linework is crisp and clean (in both colors she used for the outline). I am pleased as punch and will absolutely seek Julies time and expertise for future tattoos!

Dan tattooed me the first time a couple months ago. He responded fast to my email(s) and was pretty clear in his questions during our consultation so he could create my vision for me. He was super approachable and encouraged me to look and change anything I didnt like including stencil placement. We had two meetings including a drawing check before we did my piece. It felt super professional and really eased any anxiety I had. He also did a touch - up and a last min tattoo he custom designed during the second session (On Friday the 13th non the less SUPER accommodating!).Him and his wife clearly know how to run a business. I love that they have Games of Fate (how I got both my tattoos)If you look up their Facebook page they have a bunch of really awesome designs, Bailey Park is probably my favorite artist there because of her Fan art but Julies designs are also wonderful. They have Plinko and a spin wheel on a wall and they let you pick either, they have a bunch of pages with numbered flash designs and basically whatever number the Plinko or Spin Wheel land on is the tattoo you pick

Julie Sas is such an awesome artist to be tattooed by! Her line work and color skills are OUT OF THIS WORLD. So beyond grateful to have had such a wicked piece done by them. Can not wait to come back for more in the future!

I have a colleague who recently got a beautiful and unique tattoo, so I asked her where she went and she told me that it was done by Julie when she was working at another local tattoo shop- There werent any reviews mentioning her because she was newer to the city but Im glad I took the plunge and booked with her anyways. I sent an email and we were able to set up a consultation for a week after I reached out, which is great for how busy artists in this area can get. During this I told her to let me know if she had any cancellations or unexpected openings not thinking it would actually happen, but she even finished drawing up the design earlier than expected and got me an earlier appointment which was absolutely amazing.I voiced my concern about not knowing how colored ink would show up on brown skin because not many artists portfolios in this city feature people without white skin-She made it work with vibrant colors that look fantastic. I had a great experience during the process and get compliments on this piece ALL THE TIME. The lines are crisp, the colors pop and the design is exactly what I had in mind even though I gave the artist some creative freedom with her interpretation of it.

Daniel was able to tattoo my girlfriend and I today as walk-ins. She got a small custom tattoo and I got a flash design. We are both super happy with his work and will be coming back for more tattoos in the future.

Julie is very detail oriented and takes pride in her work. She is an amazing artist and I trust her color and design ideas. I have a full shoulder and a 3/4 sleeve. I get compliments on the work on a weekly basis. THANKS Julie!

I love the Sas Ink space! It is unique to the artists style, and the design is open, light-filled and extremely clean. Unfortunately nice looking art doesn’t make kind people. Had to reschedule my appointment due to medical expenses, and notified owner / artist Julie Sas, who refused to rebook, and took my deposit despite me giving her 2.5 weeks notice instead of her policy’s stated 48 hours.Made no offer to work together in future, just complained about her lost wages, cancelled my appointment and then was consistently rude in her emails.Skip this shop.EDIT: Owner has now responded saying I am too sensitive if I cant follow the deposit guidelines I agreed to however, she apparently follows her own guidelines at her discretion as her own policy clearly states 48 hours. This is the kind of service you can expect from Julie Sas.Ive posted photos of our email interaction incase anyone has any doubts about my claims. Please have a read and see if this is how you would treat your clients:

I had been keeping an eye on Mrs. Sasinks work for a while so when she posted new flash it was too cute to pass up. She was kind and did a wonderful job, the shop is even cooler than I imagined from the Instagram posts and her set up was full of light, plants and her awesome art on the walls.

I don’t remember her name but my sister and I did walk in service so super kudos for allowing our sister tattoo ritual to continue! The artist who did mine had a super light hand which was amazing & definitely a plus! The ONLY down fall is I got bruised bad from the wrapping afterwards which actually hurts more then the actual tattoo lol, here’s an update! The wrap did not hurt which is why I didn’t say anything 🤷‍♀️ it may have just been a reaction to the plastic? Idk but I love the way it turned out

Julie does such amazing work! She designed a custom Lord of the Rings piece in the style of Mucha, and I am in love with it. Her care for detail is spectacular and lines are super crisp. I have seen Daniel at 3 different times in both Vancouver and down in Seattle and have an entire sleeve, a forearm and a hand piece done by him. I have loved every piece he has done and will continue to go down to see him as soon as this covid mess is over as i already have plans for more. I have had other friends and family of mine get tattoos by him as well and cannot recommend him enough!

Known Daniel for years, as he tattood me back in Vancouver, BC where he currently worked. Daniel goes above and beyond to make clients feel comfortable. His work is amazing and Id recommend him to anyone looking for anything from a first tattoo to someone covered in tattoos.

Julie was rude, hard to collaborate with and did not follow what we discussed in our consultation. When I sent her examples of pieces I wanted to design my tattoo around, she told me, I don’t need anyone’s help coming up with MY designs or making an artistically sound image (see attached image) and then proceeded to mash up pictures from google images for the original piece I had paid her to design.

Daniel is a great artist. He listens to what you’re looking for and uses his experience to help you create a piece that unique and awesome! His space is clean and he’s very professional. I was recommended to him by my friends, and I would recommend him to anyone!
