I’ve been to a couple different shops in Springfield, a handful of different artists, and Dark Ship may be my favorite one yet! Kiersten was my artist. She was able to get me in the same day, took her time to understand what exactly I wanted and make sure I loved it before we got started. The lines are SO incredibly clean and I am in love with my tattoo!! The place also has a relaxed and welcoming vibe you don’t find at most other shops. Kiersten was so sweet, attentive and is amazingly talented. 100000% recommend for your new tattoo shop!

These were my first tattoos and with Nicks artistry and skill it was definitely a great experience! A little discomfort in a few areas but for the most part it was totally fine and I drifted off to sleep a couple of times! The face he did is photo realistic! Definitely recommend Dark Ship Tattoos!

Dom is awesome! His girlfriend is apprenticing with him and the two make you feel comfortable while youre getting new ink. The place is clean and the overall atmosphere is great.

Nick Edwards is awesome. I have 3 tattoos by him and all are very high quality. Very pleased with his work. He is very personable and easy to work with.

I got my very first tattoo here from Nick last year. It was a really personal and special tattoo for me...but I could tell he thought it was stupid and didnt bother to hide it. I wanted Girl Almighty in cursive on my ribs..he didnt even bother to write down the two simple words. He said, you wanted like, Girl power or something, right?. And instead of doing it in cursive, he just printed out a template he found online of my tattoo written in the band members handwriting...not what I wanted but it was my first tattoo and I was intimidated and reluctantly let him talk me into it. Its not what I wanted. I didnt want the band members handwriting at all. It healed well but the black ink faded to blue within a few months. Its an okayish tattoo. Couldve been worse. Wish Id stuck up for myself more-- or at least went to someone who cared.

Nick was my artist and he listened and understood what I wanted in my peice and was always courteous. I will be doing more through him definitely!
