Good Heart Tattoos

Benny, the shop owner, has been doing my tattoos for the last 8 years. I have a total of 7 done by him. He’s very kind, professional, and does great work. I’d highly recommend him or his shop in general!

Such a good vibe everyone was so nice. My tattoo artist Alex was very considerate, he would check up on me through out my tattoo and make sure I was okay. A great place will be coming back! ❤️💯

I walked in and asked for a commemorative marathon tattoo with the Illinois Marathon logo. I lucked out and they werent busy; I had picked the wrong day for walk ins. But, they took on the challenge, regardless. Not only did they make it perfectly, but the lines and coloring were so smooth and it went so quickly. They were also very affordable with their quote. Definitely professionals who know what theyre doing.The flash is incredible so when I come back to do the marathon next year, and the years following, Im also going to make this a regular stop! Looking forward to doing a $100 get what you get tattoo out of the gumball machine!

Sam was amazing. I last minute decided to come as a walk in with a drawn idea and he was amazing! Very thorough, and accepting that i had to keep moving my hand, and overall did an amazing job - especially if you want strategic lines. 10/10 will definitely be coming back to him!

Everyone is so nice and welcoming at Good Heart, it makes getting a tattoo there a very comfortable experience. Benny is a very talented artist and friend. I have 5 tattoos from him and hes turned some of my most ridiculous requests into amazing artwork. I know when I go there, Im going to get a skilled and knowledgeable artist. I leave happy every time.

Not enough good things to say about Benny and all the people at Good Heart tattoos! Everyone is so friendly and inviting and I havent seen a tattoo that I didnt like in there. So not the best experience, got a tattoo by Benny that was super crooked. There was beaded detailing that was supposed to be part of the tattoo to which he said “you don’t want that, that’s basically a tramp stamp.” 2/10

Getting tattooed by Benny was one of my best tattoo experiences! Not only is he an amazing artist, but he’s a really great person and made the not so fun act of getting your stomach tattooed a blast. The whole Good Heart team is amazing and has definitely given the most positive vibes of any tattoo shop I have been in. Thanks again Benny!!

Omg! First let me shout out to Sam he read the assignment lolz! This tattoo is over the moon! It totally exceeded my expectations! My tattoo artist, Tate, was responsive to my ideas and enthusiastic in creating a design based on my ideas. She was friendly, engaging, and attentive while completing my piece- so much so that getting my tattoo was just like a spa day. The rest of the staff were fun and conversational as well, for an overall atmosphere that was laid back and welcoming while remaining 100% professional. I plan to go back in the future

My fiancé and I showed up later than wanted to get onto the walk-in list. We were worried we weren’t going to be able to get our tattoos, but Benny and Tate worked us in right at the end and we love our tattoos! Beautiful environment and great customer service all around! Will be back soon!!

Alex did an amazing job on the first tattoo of my chest piece! I will definitely be back for many more with him! Hes currently planning out the remainder of my chest which includes a cover up. Highly recommend! Super friendly environment and great quality!

Of the tattoo shops Ive been to, this one stands out. Everyone is nice, the place is clean, and theres a general high standard upheld here. I was a bit of a baby during my panther tattoo, but Benny was very understanding. When its time for me to get another, Ill be back.

Benny is the BEST! Hes patient, kind, and always listens to what I want. I just got my 4th tattoo from him tonight. Each is unique and special. He takes my ideas and inspiration, and adds his amazing artistic talent. I love how he designs with me on sight so we can work together to get the perfect outcome. No matter what I have in mind, he astonishes me with his interpretation. I cant recommend him enough. If you want something beautiful, amazing, timeless, and one that will stand the test of time (he knows how skin will age), Benny is your guy.

Benny did my beautiful tattoo. My girls call me Madre. I told him that my fave color is purple but gave him freedom with the colors. I love the colors and the writing. Thank you so much for making sure that I have a part of my girls with me always.

Got my first tattoo here and everyone was super welcoming and nice. My tattoo artist Tate was very attentive and made sure I was happy and comfortable with everything.

I don’t even have the words to explain how amazing this place is, as someone who has a decent amount of tattoos and have dealt with all types of shops and all types of artists and this one is hands down my favorite, I’ve gotten tattoos from Nick twice now and each time is better than the last. Their front desk person is such a comforting soul it makes me feel like they really want me there. Aside from their customer service their skill is next level, I’ve never personally been tattooed by Benny but have two friends who have, clean and crispy lines both times. You can’t go wrong no matter who you get tattooed by here. 10/10 they have a lifelong customer.

First timer at this place… 1st impression is it’s clean, inviting, everyone was friendly. I went in during walk-in hours and Tate did an awesome job. She was really patient with me (deciding size and the right placement) and makes you feel very comfortable!

Seriously the best place to get a tattoo in Springfield, IL! The name says it all - everyone at this shop is Good Hearted. Benny did a memorial piece for my mom who passed this year and I was in tears over how beautiful it is. This is the one tattoo shop where I actually felt welcome and safe. So where do I even begin, a friend of mine told me about this shop and after looking up the pictures and creeping their Facebook I knew I definitely wanted to get in. I messaged the shop owner. we set up the appointment the day came, I walked into the shopsat down and I could already tell it was gonna be a great experience. We discussed different options, and together We came up with a piece that I am very excited to show off. He was very kind, very gentle. He explained what he was doing , I will definitely be back. Nick gave me my very first tattoo and I love it to bits! I am into the shop with a few reference pictures and a vague idea of what I wanted, and Nick did an excellent job in turning the idea I had in my head into a gorgeous work of art that was so much better than i could have ever imagined! He was also incredibly kind and made sure I knew exactly what to expect with this being my first tattoo, and i really appreciated that. While I was there I saw Benny give another customer a beautiful tattoo, and T was so very nice and I adored her! They also had Die Antwoords music playing for most of the time, and that was a nice touch. I would recommend this shop to everyone. The artwork is super high quality, the staff is lovely, and the ambience is perfect! What more can you ask for?

I gotten a tattoo here on my birthday last year and I was very happy with my tattoo I would like to come here again I was wondering about walk ins and wich days are good I wanted to make sure all my tattoos would be good and not terrible I’m scared of badly done tattoos 😭 I tried to see what days were good for walk ins on the website but i couldn’t find anything

Nick does a great job! He gave my boyfriend his first tattoo and did a whole touch up and small tattoo for me. He’s very friendly and professional. The shop is a nice shop downtown parking kinda sucks but it’s worth it. Would go too him again if my boyfriend and I are getting anymore work done.

Needed a cover up done on my forearm and the artist was very professional and knew what he was doing. Very very clean place with open-minded people. The tattoo came out great and although it was done in black and grey, the prior tattoo cant be seen. I am extremely pleased with services received here and would recommend to anyone looking for a good priced awesome looking tattoo.
