Trent did my first tattoo and I could not be happier. Very patient, informative, and fantastic artist! 3 months after my first tattoo I am back for more and starting a sleeve! 5/5 stars!

Was looking to get my first tattoo done a couple months ago, and was researching good places to go when I was referred here by a colleague. Looked up the reviews, saw the art, met with Trent online and I was convinced. The reference photos I provided were roughly what I wanted, and I requested them to be combined and the realism of some of the images tweaked. And when I got there to see the final product and get inked I was beyond thrilled! Im happy to have this art on me and Im completely satisfied with this being my first tattoo, the experience was great and the final product is even better!

Trent was great to work with, and made my tattoo idea come to life. Im very happy with the work he put into my tattoo. This was my first time at Poke & Rub and I will definitely be going back for more work.

I have been wanting to check this place out for a while now. They had a mothers day special and I took advantage of the deal! I can honestly say I am in love with the tattoo! Erica listened to why I picked the placement and plans for future tattoos. She added extra details that made it slightly different from the stencil and I love it! I will be reaching out for more work and watching for more amazing deals. I think I found my new go to artist! The shop is also awesome! Very clean and welcoming!

Trent and Erica are fantastic artists. I get compliments on my tattoos regularly. They make you feel comfortable throughout the entire appointment.

Sat down and hung out with Trent from pnr today. He laid down this awesome tattoo. It was a very good experience overall. Shop is super cool and clean!! Trent is a really cool guy who is excellent at what he does. If you are looking for some ink, Id highly recommend Poke and a Rub.

Trent and Erica are phenomenal artists and able to use so many different artistic abilities to create amazing work. Trent took on a sleeve in progress of mine and was able to elevate it beyond what I had imagined! One of, if not, the cleanest and most professionally ran tattoo shops in town.

Best Tattoo shop in town! Was debating on a chest piece for about a year. Couldnt find a shop where i liked the work. Spoke to Trent gave him my idea and with in a day he had it drawn up and was ready to go! It turned out amazing! Erica and Trent are amazing and so friendly. The specials they do for the holidays shows how much they appreciate their customers. If you need a tattoo look no further. They can do it all! Thank you guys for amazing work and the most enjoyable tattoo experience anybody could ask for!! Cant wait for my next session!!!

These guys can draw anything and draw it well. Some of the best artists I have ever seen. Both the owners, Erica and Trent are top notch individuals who are great to do business with.

The artists are wonderful, and I love that they are a 100% vegan tattoo shop! I had my very first tattoo done here by Erica. I got color portraits of my 2 dogs (one passed away). It is a very meaningful and sentimental tattoo, and Erica did a fantastic job! The whole experience was so wonderful! She had great music playing, and we talked about all kinds of things during the tattoo sessions. The tattoo didnt even hurt that much. I think using all natural care products during the process really helped. I loved everything and will be back for more tattoos!

Trent did my tattoo and was absolutely wonderful. The entire time I was in the chair he made sure I was comfortable. Erica was working on another client while I was there and they just made it feel like a casual hangout. I will definitely be back as soon as I can!

I love this studio! I wont go anywhere else for my tattoos and cant recommend Trent and Erica enough. They are as full of talent and creativity as they are genuinely good people. Theyre open to ideas and ready to offer up some great ideas of their own if need be. Highly recommend!

Erica is an amazing artist! Im two sits into a full sleeve and each visit has been a true pleasure. Studio is clean, orderly and bright. Erica and Trent are super friendly and very talented. Wouldnt dream of going anywhere else!

Trent was amazing. This was my first tattoo. The consultation a few days prior he went over thoroughly and gave his professional advice. The day before, Tent sent an amazing sketch of my tattoo. When I arrived, Trent made me feel totally relaxed. He coached me through the entire process, constantly making sure I was ok. The place is immaculate. I hit a gold mine. I would like to get a couple more tattoos. This is the only place I will go. Best experience ever.

Trent has done a few of my tattoos and drawn up some artwork for me and everything is amazing. He has a wonderful eye for details and really listened to me and gave his opinion of what would look best and where would be the best placement so that I would be the happiest. I just wish they were still in Maine so I could get some tattoos. Maine lost some excellent artists when Trent and Erica moved, but Illinois hit the jackpot with them. Hands down the best artist Ive ever been to and its going to hard as hell to find someone that does that caliber of work.

Trent did an amazing Norse chest piece, lots of fine line work. I’m a quadriplegic and spasm a lot. Trent was patient and worked with the spasms. Very friendly, an amazing artist and does very good quality work. Would and do highly recommend Poke and a rub art studio for your quality tattoo needs.

There is some amazing artwork coming out of this studio!! I’ve been watching them on Facebook and was impressed!! I made a consultation appointment on their app, very easy. I ended up getting off work a little early and my tattoo was already done by my appointment time. Love my new ink! You were great to work with!

Came here for my first tattoo hoping for a good experience and quality tattoo. I gave the artist my original idea and they disagreed with it and made me change it completely instead of working with me to design one based off the original concept. And the one we did end up choosing, they changed completely and only showed me one prior photo of a “rough draft” despite the fact I was told I would be communicated back and forth with. I was good with what we chose but I was not good with the result. Not even a week after getting the tattoo and doing all the proper treatments I was informed of, the tattoo started fading. And not just fading but also ink spread to where it wasn’t meant to be. But what bothers me most is how bad it faded and how low the quality of the work is. Some lines are thick and some are thin and the lines themselves are wavy. My skin shows through the ink and it just looks bad. There are full parts of the tattoo missing now. I don’t plan on coming back and I have to spend money to fix their mistake.Other than the work, the artists are friendly and the place is generally clean.

Very friendly and lovely work. They wont give you a tattoo that you dont like. They will design it until you are happy with the image before even sitting down to get the work done.Very professional and clean. I would definitely go back here again and I would recommend to everyone.Plus, all products are vegan!

I’ve had multiple pieces done here and have never been disappointed. Great work and great people. You actually feel welcome and cared about here instead of having someone bang out your piece just for the money. Highly recommended!

This was my first visit, and I WILL be back. Great, personable staff, skilled artists, they communicate well with the clientele, theres plenty to look at to keep your eyes busy while you sit for your ink, and not to mention my kickass tattoo!

Very cool artists. Easy to work with. Fast. I went in on a whim. I got a simple tat done but the artist made it badass. Highly recommend going in for a look see. I know I will be back.

They do amazing work!!...and the fact that they are great people are a bonus! My tattoo took three hours several years ago and it still looks great! :)

This studio is amazing having a full sleeve done by Trent after another artist in town refused to add onto his own work couldnt be happier Trent and Erica both go out of their way to really care for and make their customers very comfortable would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to get killer ink work done!!!!!
