I just walked in with my son to ask about a piercing that I’ve been wanting to get and as soon as I walked in they immediately said it’s by appointment only and no kids. They absolutely had no respect. The attitude was very rude. Like calm down it’s not that serious… it was my first time and I drove 45 minutes to go to them. The least thing you can do is have some respect to customers. Never again will I walk in there.

Clean place . Great staff safe environment. My artist was Tom. He has done 2 tattoos for me. I always get compliments on his work. He was very attentive to what I wanted, gave his professional opinion when needed, and took his time.

I have been a loyal customer for 5 years, and recommend everyone I know to get tattooed here. At this point I’ve worked with several artists - Tom, Nick, Mike, Jodee, Fran - on both flash and custom pieces. Everyone is friendly, professional, working with you on the designs, making sure you’re comfortable through the process, and prices are fair for the services you get. I don’t go to any other shop anymore. Could not recommend more strongly!

I got a navel piercing today by Paul and the experience was so amazing. I was nervous and he was very understanding and answered any questions I had and made sure I was super comfortable. 10/10 would recommend.

Bound For Glory is a great tattoo shop - Ive been to a few having gotten my first tattoo in Detroit in 1978. Owner Mike B is a great guy who has mastered his craft. Hes also very funny and I enjoy our sessions. Ive been tattooed by him three times now including a very complex design - a coat of arms - that always astounds people when they see it. The Slayer tattoo (from Diabolus In Musica) on my forearm is the tattoo that gets the most comments, usually from other metal heads who love the band - and the tat. In addition to the work Ive had done Ive referred a few people and everyone comes away pleased. Located on busy Forest Avenue, there is plenty of parking on side streets, a coffee shop next door and a classic vibe (I love traditional Americana when it comes to tattoos) in the very cool and very clean shop itself. I have been getting tattooed here regularly for years. If you are looking to get your first tattoo or your 100th, Bound For Glory Tattoo is the place to go! The artists are all incredible — I personally have been tattooed by Tom, Nick, and Dave. They are all masters of their craft. There is plenty of flash to choose from and they are able to draw up whatever vision you have in mind for your custom idea. Colors are bright, lines are bold. Super clean. Pretty sure they are wizards. Best shop in NYC!

Not a welcoming atmosphere. If you physically look indifferent you be stared and low key made fun off. Funny how a shop with a culture of people pierced everywhere and tattoos all over the body is going to make fun of a guy with slight facial birth defect.

Had an appointment see Paul today for a nose piercing. I was very nervous and anxious, having had a bad experience previously. Paul was so patient and kind. He spent a lot of time answering all my questions, didnt lose his cool and he made me feel calm. Paul was WONDERFUL. And he gave me the most awesome piercing! I love it and Im so glad I went to him. Impulsively went to get pierced today upon scoring a same day appointment and it was a very NON regrettable experience. I got paired nipple piercings done (yes they do hurt as bad as you think they do) but Paul made me feel extremely comfortable and not only made sure I liked the line placements but did them over a few times to his own assurance. He showed me and my girlfriend the coolest thing when changing the actual color of the jewelry through this heat machine. 10/10 experience and will definitely go back to him for future piercings! I went in today for 2 piercings and came out SO much happier than I expected to. Paul was really chill and made me feel really comfortable. He was very upfront and informative about jewelry, aftercare, and what I might experience during the healing process. It was really easy to set an appointment too and his team was really helpful with the scheduling process and informative and upfront about all the policies. Super happy with my piercings!

My boyfriend and I went to get nose piercings from Paul. You have to text to book an appointment first and the entire experience from text #1 to walking out the door was awesome! The assistant who helped me book the appointments was super kind and friendly, very quick to respond, extremely informative, and answered all of my questions. We got to the shop and Paul was very patient in letting us decide on jewelry and pricing was WAY more than fair. He made us feel extremely comfortable and we had some laughs and he really did his best to make sure we were happy with our new pieces, from placement to needle. WE ARE! 11/10 would recommend and will absolutely be going back!!

Paul is the best. I called them about a check up on a nose piercing I did about a month ago with another tattoo place because I noticed that my original piercing was sinking into the hole. I got in contact with the assistant and made an appointment ASAP. They are VERY transparent with their policies and very professional. I went in, and Paul took a look and immediately told me that the original piercing was very low quality cheap jewelry and he offered to switch it out for me. He allowed me to pick my own jewelry and was SUPER thorough about each jewelry and he is so patient. He knows everything about every quality of jewelry in the store (including the manufacturer, where it’s from, etc) and is super knowledgeable.He is sweet, and super patient bc I was indecisive which piercing to get. The studio is very clean and organized and straight forward. I wish I went here my first time. PLEASE GO HERE for piercings. He is probably the only person I think I trust on Staten Island to get piercings from.

After seeing all the good reviews about this shop, I decided to come try it out. I made an appointment to get a septum piercing and the piercer Paul was great. He talked me through the whole process and was completely understanding. Even after the initial piercing was done he even offered to redo it if it wasn’t to my liking. Will definitely be coming back here again for my next piercing.

I’ll start off by saying that coming to Bound For Glory for a tattoo was a great decision! Living in North Jersey, it was only a 40 min drive to Staten Island. I was welcomed at the front desk as soon as I entered the shop and waited less than 2 minutes until Dave greeted me with the drawing he came up with. Dave was a very gentle and welcoming dude that made you feel comfortable throughout the entire process, which can be frightening for others getting tattooed. I asked for an American Trad tomahawk and gave me the most bulletproof piece I have yet! Nick, John, Dave, and the rest of the crew showed hospitality like no other shop. I will definitely be stopping here for another awesome piece!

Came to get a piercing with Paul and he was super professional. I felt comfortable with him right away. The environment was neat, clean and well laid out. Made an appointment with Paul to get a daith piercing. I was freaking out because is supposed to hurt and it was my first time after 26 yrs getting pierced. Paul is super professional, explains the process and makes sure you understand it. He truly knows what he is doing. Absolutely loved that he took his time to sterilize and set up. Do not regret coming to him! The piercing did not hurt a bit (can be different for every person) also purchased the piercing aftercare from him which saved me the trip to a pharmacy. Absolutely love Paul!! I read reviews before coming here as I had multiple bad piercing experiences. Paul was nice and informative. He explained EVERYTHING to me such as my anatomy and what jewelry piece would work better for my body. I will definitely be back! He did a double helix for me and my navel piercing.

Ive never had anything but the absolute best experience working with Paul. Hes extremely clean, professional, and knowledgeable. Ive gotten at least a dozen piercings from him over the years ranging from basic to extreme and all have healed amazingly well, in optimal time, and without complication. LOVED this place! The whole place was very clean, and the staff was very helpful and engaging. They all talked to both my friend and me throughout the whole time we were there, and that was helpful in making us feel comfortable with the work we were getting done.I went there yesterday to get a cover-up tattoo with my friend who was also getting a tattoo. Nick did both of our tattoos. We showed him ideas of what we wanted, and he quickly drew up his version, and both of our tattoos were just perfect and even better than we even hoped for. Went here to Paul to get my belly button pierced, piercing came out great and Paul is great, he was so helpful, helped talk my dad through it and understand risks/ how he prevents them etc, so he felt better about me getting it. Place was clean, very professional, will be recommending this place to anyone who’s thinking about getting a piercing, he’s licensed and specializes in piercing. Only place on the island I’d trust to get piercing.

So I had Paul peirce my belly button today and it was a great experience (besides me getting up too quickly and feeling faint, but that was my wrong doing). Came here after asking someone for a recommendation. Neither my recommendation or the shop let me down. Extremely friendly atmosphere, very knowledgeable and professional. I have been to several tattoo shops on and off the island. This one is best by far. You do not have to worry which artist is in the day you want work done. Every single tattooer in the shop does amazing work. Great flash work. Paul the piercer seems to be very professional every time I am there, theres always people there to make appointments with him.

I came in today on time for an appointment to see paul. I knew my service was 40 dollars but i didn’t appreciate that he didn’t have anything up to see prices of the jewelry or gems before making an appointment. And if you cancel it’s a 20 dollar fee even if you’re left with no choice. Just no empathy from paul himself. Gives off the energy of his time being wasted. Will not be coming back

I found this place online while looking for quality jewelry for my daith piercing. When I got there, everyone was super friendly and helpful. Paul (ipricku) is the piercer and is incredibly knowledgeable and patient.I am not the easiest customer because I am pretty particular about what I want or dont want, but Paul was incredibly helpful, gave me suggestions and advice. He went above and beyond to help me look at different jewelry designers and online stores to see if we could find what I wanted.The shop itself was beautifully done. They just moved down the street, but the shop was immaculate - as it should be.I cannot say enough about my experience here and Pauls professionalism while helping me with jewelry. Hands down, I would recommend this place in a heartbeat. Go see Paul for all your piercing needs!! I know I will definitely be back.

I want to first talk about the piercer of BFG Paul. He is SO awesome. He loves his craft and is so knowledgeable on piercings and body jewelry. Very thorough and clean. I have lived in the West Brighton neighborhood for a year and I always thought BFG was an art gallery of some sort. Thats how aesthetically pleasing the shop is. Super clean. Super professional. A pleasant experience overall. I got some work done by Jeremy M. who was hands down one of the coolest people I have met on Staten Island. All of these guys are incredibly talented and having lived and had tattoo work done all over the city, and I would say BFG could hold its own in comparison to any reputable Tattoo Shop in the Five Boroughs. Definitely will be returning. Cant say enough good things about this place.

Ive been tattooed here countless times, and that is because the Bound For Glory guys are running hands down the best tattoo shop on Staten Island. Not only is the quality of tattooing impeccable, but the staff is the friendliest youll find anywhere. The shop managers are both friendly and helpful, and the tattoo artists (Nick, Mike, Tom and Dave) are some of the best youll find anywhere. DO NOT get tattooed anywhere else until you look at the portfolios of these four gentlemen. Their work speaks for itself and if you get tattooed anywhere on Staten Island, this is most definitely the place to go.

I walked in ready to get my tattoo here based on good reviews and recommendations. However my experience wasnt good at all. First guy made me feel stupid and handed me off to another artist. They made me feel like I was wasting their time. I guess Ill spend my $300 elsewhere. Shouldnt the artist try to work with the customer to see how they can help design a tattoo or help with ideas? They just seemed so uninterested, I was very disappointed.

Met with Paul needing new jewelry for forward helix. However, really needed professional assessment of a poorly healing/migrating daith 😓. Shame on me, I had done elsewhere without doing my homework first.I couldnt have been more vague about what I was looking for. He was sooo patient and knowledgeable. I am in love with new helix jewelery! BUT WAIT... He was able to remove the ticking time bomb garbage in my daith and repierced with new anodized titanium piece! Its so cool!I have a couple tattoos and a few other piercings. Paul is by far the most professional artist I have worked with. I very highly recommend him! Thank you so much for your talent, time and very likely saving my ear. Will definitely be back!

Whenever I go to Bound for Glory I am there to see Jeremy Miller. Jeremy has done all of my tattoos. His work is amazing and he is an overall nice person. I would definitely recommend.

A great place that caters to people getting their first or 100th tattoo or piercing. They are knowledgeable, experienced, and VERY clean. As with any shoppe, go for a consultation (if you need help deciding on an artist or style ASK), leave a deposit and set an appointment! Also, every tattoo and piercing is different so dont expect an umbrella price. And remember: good tattoos and piercings are not cheap and cheap tattoos and piercings are rarely good. You DO get what you pay for and Ive got two pieces to prove it 💚bfg for life.

My daughter had a nose piercing here. They were professional and did a great job. No problems. Wish they had more hours of service.

They say walk ins are welcomed but thats not the case. My friend and I went in for a simple tattoo on his bicep of a paw print. They said no one was available to do it while 3 tattoo artists sat in the back doing nothing. Id never go here again, but the coffee shop next to them, Fab Cup is really good

I went here to get some dermals & their tattoo guy was really cool so I would maybe go here for a tattoo, but when the paul who is the piercer came out of the back he was picking his nose. Red flag #1 since my last dermals from somebody else got infected so being clean is a big deal for me. He acted like a know it all and treated me like a jerk because I asked some questions. I was like Ill be back but I ended up going to another shop near me where the piercer was nice.EDIT: He says this is a fake review, which is a total lie & he knows it.

I have been to many tattoo shops on Staten Island and I believe that BFG is the best. The interior is not only extremely clean, but also very aesthetically pleasing. Most tattoo shops are clean but BFG is a cut above the rest. The waiting room area has a really comfortable feel and the walls are lined with art work. Real art work, not just flash.The staff is quite courteous and professional. I have now gotten tattooed by three different artists at BFG: Tom Connors, Nick Caruso and Dave Borjes. I am very pleased with all the work I have had done and would never go to another tattoo shop. My overall experience with Bound For Glory was excellent. Highly recommend.

Very rude. Paul was supposed to do my piercing and I forgot my ID at home but I had a picture and I understand that’s not allowed but the way he talked to me and my sister was disrespectful and rude, 20+ years of piercing and still don’t know how to talk to a costumer?, never coming back.

I went to Paul for lower back dimple dermals. Paul was very friendly and asked me a bunch of questions during my consultation. Got the dermals the same day as the consultation. I have had them for 3+ years and no problems. Paul still texts me to see how they are doing on occasion. I recommend everyone who wants microdermals to Paul.

If you are in need of a piercing and Paul is not there don’t waste your time he doesn’t leave the keys behind not ever so shop elsewhere for your piercing jewelry needs. Not much on variety anyways.
