Ron & Daves Tattooing

I’ve been going to Ron and Dave’s for years now and my little brother asked me to take him where I go for his first tattoo. Jessie is the man! He worked around his busy schedule because it was short notice because my brother was returning back to his naval station this weekend. Safe to say that the whole experience was phenomenal as they never disappoint! We chatted. Laughed. Got the work done in a timely manner. And everything was so seamless. Honestly couldn’t ask for a better experience.

Second tattoo with Jesse at Ron & Dave’s, he is the best! Listens to my thoughts and enhances my vision with his creativity. Everyone is friendly, store is clean and comfortable. Highly recommend!

Just got my first tattoo at Ron and Daves and I cant believe how happy I am with the result. I know exactly where Ill be going to get my next one. Im sure that all of the artists there are great, but if youre looking for anything in this particular style, ask for John. Master work here.

Jesse at Ron and Dave’s was absolutely amazing! I was walking in asking him to do some thing that other artists were not able to do on me. He was so friendly and honest and was able to get exactly what I wanted done where I wanted it done not only was it painless. It was super fast and I am so pleased with the outcome. Got my first ever tattoo with Jesse, he was very friendly and very easy to work with. He made sure I was comfortable and ready and was very very knowledgeable. I also got an eyebrow piercing a while ago and yesterday I got a helix piercing with Dave and both were very quick clean and healed well.

Dave has done several of my husbands tattoos but Ipersonally went to him 2 months ago for a portraitof my daughter. To say the portrait is beautiful is anunderstatement. The shading, the detail, and thebeauty was captured in a 3 hour semi painlesssession. I receive compliments on everyone who sees it. I just left the shop this afternoon with yetanother beautiful tattoo and Im in love! Davealways manages to make my tattoos feminine anddelicate which isnt easy for many artists to do. Ifyou want great work and to be around a bunch offun tattoo artists, this is your shop!

Yesterday I had a lovely experience at Ron and Dave tattoo shop. They were doing a Friday the 13th flash sale where tattoos ranged from $100-$300. The flash was four sheets of various, different tats with incredible variety and detail. The artist that did my tattoo was Jesse he was absolutely lovely. Jesse made sure I was comfortable with the placement and asked if I needed any breaks between shading and coloring. Jesse was very accommodating and friendly; the pop of color behind the tattoo was originally supposed to be blue but he was more than willing and happy to change it to purple upon request which I liked because not all places that do flash let you alter it. Overall I had a great experience and loved the time and care Jesse dedicated to my cherry tattoo. It was honestly one of the most positive experiences I had in a tattoo shop before. Jesse also prepped and cleaned his tools so there’s no need to worry about cleanliness if you go to him or any of the artists at this establishment they all seemed very friendly and inviting. I’m thankful for the tattoo and the experience and I most definitely will be coming to this shop again to do another tattoo with Jesse in the future, his shading is phenomenal and he is very humble.

Great service here, everyone is friendly, it’s also super clean and the quality is amazing. I specifically ask jesse to tattoo me he’s great, quick, and still very professional and precise.

Jesse was awesome! Shop was so clean and professional.. no worries at all. Jesse scratched out my daughters drawing and got right to work. Awesome experience. Experienced artists who are knowledgeable and very talented. Danny helped me fix a botched tattoo from another shop and its turning out fantastic. Taking a temporary financial break but excited to come back and have it finished.

I did it again. This time it was a Christmas present to myself. I got the teal colored ribbon in honor of my sister Linda who had Ovarian cancer.(she is a survivor). July of 2018 i got the pink ribbon for me, who had breast cancer. Dave did my ribbon today. It is awesome. I love this shop. Its very clean, and everyone there is so friendly and kind. They are a keeper in my book! I already got the quotes on my next 2 tattoos. I cant wait to get them. Thank you Dave. I have been trying to have an old tattoo (46 yrs old) covered up and went to several shops. Most told me that it would be to difficult and expensive. Went to Daves this past Saturday and he was amazing. Covered it up no problem and price was right. Going back for another one in July. Excellent work!August 23, This is my 4th piece (leg)from Dave Lopez. Without a doubt the most professional shop that I have been to. The shop is so clean even the bathroom is clean. The staff is friendly and they make you feel very welcome. Most of all the price is extremely reasonable. They are not there to rip you off. Will be going back for more work in September. Dave you the man!

Since this was my first time getting inked and I didn’t know what to expect. I was glad I chose Ron & Dave’s. The staff was courteous and extremely helpful with me, a newbie. Dave, especially was smooth on the needle and a fantastic freehand artist. Definitely the place to go to and I for sure will be back again soon!

I have been using Dave for almost 25 years and his dad for longer. When his dad was only in New Jersey I took my son there for his first tattoo. Once they opened in Staten Island, I never went over the bridge again. I love these guys. I love to feed them too. Lol.

This is my second time getting a tattoo here by Dave and I’m so happy with how they both turned out. My first one he combined a bunch of different Star Wars symbols into one large thigh tattoo and made it look elegant. Clean shop with experienced artists capable of doing a lot of different styles. Love that the profession runs in the family too

I got a tattoo yesterday as a walk-in. The receptionist kept me up to date and check on me periodically. She thought I thought she forgot about me. I was nervous to get the tattoo done on my forearm. The tattoo artist did a great job on my tattoo and was very professional. I will definitely will be going back to the shop for another piece.

I went to Ron and Daves Tattoo for my first tattoo in 2014. Fast forward to 2023 and I still get tattoos from this shop. All of the artists are open and welcoming in the shop. I get my tattoos done by Dave Lopez and he does an excellent job. Also, if needing anything after the tattoo he is always eager to help and answer questions.

John has been my go to guy for years nowI wouldn’t trust anyone else to do my tattoos… Ron and Dave’s is awesome super friendly funny and clean place to go to.

Its always a great experience here. Clean, professional, experienced, and welcoming. Both Dave and Jesse worked on a couple cover ups and did wonders with them, finally making me feel comfortable in my skin again after years.

Got my brows done last week and I couldnt be happier. Jenna is as meticulous as anyone in the shop and clearly carries on the Lopez name for quality talent. We talked about color and shape every step of the way and I had zero worries. I am so happy with the outcome and will definitely be recommending others. This place is absolutely amazing! Dave has done many of my tattoos including fixing a tattoo sleeve that was poorly done by another artist. Dave has done my ribs and got started on my leg sleeve. The other artists who work there are very passionate and friendly. They bought me lunch and continuously ask if there is anything I need. They make you feel comfortable and are a family. Over the years of researching artists through trial and error this shop has proven to be the best through quality, price, and comfortability. They are clean and sanitary! The only reason I gave 4 stars is because they r so popular u have to wait awhile to be called and I hate waiting lol…Love them!! I have 2 tattoos from them that I got several years ago, and my daughter went to them the other day for a nose piercing. Great job! Nice friendly staff. Got both my nostrils and tongue pierced here. The people are very professional but kind and easy to talk to during any session. Their pricing is average (only based on my piericng experience) And my healing has been great with no complications.In addition, I brought my mom to get her Septum when I went to get my nostrils and she has the same experience I did.This place has been around for a long time and I can see why. Cant wait to get some ink done here!!

I have been going to Ron and Daves for about ten years now and would never go anywhere else. Anytime I have walked into the shop for any of my tattoos or piercings it has always been a great experience. The staff is always warm and welcoming. They take their time and the job is never rushed. I dont have many tattoos but I know what I like. I have made a point to never go to the same artist twice in a vain attempt to experience the work of different artists with each tattoo. Some artists I have worked with gave me legitimate concern for their preparedness. Some Tattoo artists are so far into themselves that they have treated the entire experience as if they were doing me a favor by buying their service. Dave of Ron and Daves Tattooing may be the very best I have ever worked with. His draft of the tattoo was ready as soon as I walked in. After we placed the draft on my arm he made a suggestion to make a subtle change which he then took the time to do. I am so glad we made the change. Dave was so fast yet I never once felt he was rushing or being careless. He is simply a professional operating at the peak of his craft. He is very personable and exudes a calm kind demeanor that immediately put me at ease. He listened to and addressed all of my concerns and questions and never made me feel foolish for them.My only issue with Dave is that now I need to think of another design so I can break my policy and work with Dave again.

His talent exceeds any artist youll ever come into contact with and there is an outpour of passion in every piece he creates. My family had a last minute idea for matching tattoos and Jesse made sure to fit in all 5 of my family members back to back and designed each tattoo to fit all of our different styles. He was personable, professional, and made sure to ask if we were okay to continue the entire time which was great since most of us were rookies. Went in recently for an add on/enhancement and a cover up. One with Dave the other Kevin. They both did amazing work!!! So happy with my newly revised tattoos. The shop is a so clean and calm. A friend of mine recommended Ron and Daves after he had a botched job from another tattoo shop and was in search of someone to fix the tattoo on his wrist. Dave did amazing job redoing the tattoo and it came out even better than originally anticipated. My brother has a full sleeve courtesy of Dave as well, and every piece is unique; this is what this shop prides themselves on. They love to do unique work, (new ideas) is what they welcome. Working with them is easy and Dave is very quick to nail down what you want. I saw him do a portrait of a child this past weekend and it looked like a real photograph; the detail was so so intricate. I myself have a half sleeve that started with a cover up from when I was a teenager; the job Dave did was flawless. I have also had 2 other tattoos that were done by Kevin Craig, and his work is on par with Dave . Honesty, you cant go wrong with this shop, or any of its artist. Its clean, reasonably priced, comfortable and professional. Their is a reason why they are a competition tattoo parlor. As soon as I have a new idea, I will be back.

I cant recommend this shop enough. I went in for a consult with owner/artist Dave Lopez and immediately knew that i wanted him to do some work on me. He was able to take an idea that i had in my mind and translate it PERFECTLY onto my skin. Ive been going to Ron and Daves for close to 30 years i have been tattooed by Ron, Dave and Chris over the years. My first tattoo was of my children and recently i have done my grand children. I have been going to Ron and Daves for my tattoos since 2012 and have never left dissatisfied. All of the staff members are very professional, the shop is spotless, and the work they do is outstanding. Irma has been my go to for many tattoos. She has done beautiful mandalas on my feet, a warrior piece that goes from my hip to the bottom of my thigh, and is currently working on an entire leg sleeve on my right leg made almost entirely of flowers. Irma is so good at making sure Im comfortable with the amount of time a session will be, asking if I need breaks to eat or move around, and is flexible with her time for appointments. She is known for her flower work but I wouldnt hesitate to ask her for anything else. Ron and Daves has been a Staten Island institution for years and its easy to see why!

I got my first tattoo from Dave in 2017. I hadnt been to a shop in almost four years due to a bad experience with a really weird artist at a DIFFERENT shop. I didnt want to have another bad experience anywhere and didnt trust anyone touching me or coming near me with a machine, so I never finished up the tattoo I started. After hearing a lot of good things about the shop itself, specifically about Dave, I finally muscled up and stopped in to see if he could finish the piece I had started years ago which was a tribute to my mother. I gave him an idea of what I wanted and he ran with it. Not only did he do an unbelievable job coloring it in and fixing the line work, he and his employees also made me feel incredibly comfortable in their clean and welcoming environment. Finishing the piece took a few hours and I spent those few hours engaged in great conversation with him and the others who were working. Three pieces later, its the only shop both myself and my family go to. If youre looking for quality work from honest and talented artists, look no further.

I have been getting tattooed on Staten Island regularly since my 18th birthday. About a year ago is discovered Ron and Dave’s and soon after realized they are by far the superior shop on the island. They are professional, down to earth and the shop has an all around great vibe. Kevin Jesse and Dan are all excellent in what they do and give their all in every piece they work on. I have not yet gotten a tattoo here that I haven’t loved. I would recommend this shop to anyone looking for a tattoo weather it is your 1st time or your hundredth time you will not leave disappointed. I walked into Ron and Dave’s with no appointment. Upon arrival, I said I had no appointment and I was told okay few minutes. I spoke with John who is very nice, he asked what I wanted and few minutes later my tattoos were drawn up and was ready to take me. John Spano did 2 tattoos and I am extremely happy with the outcome. Asked for his card and now I will be making appointments with him in the future and recommend him and this shop to anyone who asks. Thank you so much!

You will never walk into a more inviting & welcoming shop. There is beautiful artwork everywhere throughout the shop Incase you don’t have anything in mind you want, you’ll definitely find something you love. The second you walk into the place everyone is so nice, I got tattooed by Jesse who is incredibly considerate when it comes to your ideas of what you’re looking for. He’ll make sure you’re comfortable before getting tattooed and that you’re ready for the ride ! He does beautiful traditional pieces and just started an amazing Japanese sleeve for me which I’m so stoked about. Great experience. The whole family got the same tattoo. Jesse was our artist and i contacted him in the morning and he made sure he fit us all in. Tattoo quality is amazing. Ok so I went in for a walk in to get my first tattoo and honestly I was so nervous cuz like it’s my first tat and it was a medium sized one sooo that was fun. Dave did my tattoo and he’s such a chill dude like the conversations we had definitely distracted me from the pain and helped ease me into it and he is very patient and I would def recommend this place and him because he got every last detail of a simple design I found on Pinterest and made it look 10000 times more rad. If it’s your first time and you need to take breaks he will let you and coming here more for my future tats. Also the price is super reasonable because other places were charging me like very high prices but I did it for 250 which is superrrr reasonable.

I recently visited Ron & Daves Tattooing for my second tattoo. Needless to say that it was a wonderful experience. Dave is an exceptional artist and created the perfect tattoo for me. Ill visit again when Im ready to have another, and of course, will request Dave to do it. Its a small place but who truly cares when the artist has so much talent. Bravo!!!!

Ive been tattooed by Ron, Dave and Chris over the course of the last 25 years. Each are incredible artists as well as really good guys. They love what they do and its obvious when you see the end result. Dave is doing a back piece on me now and I was blown away with how he adapted the image I gave him to fit my body. The changes, although subtle, are exactly what I wanted. I sat for 4 hours and what he got done in that time is incredible! The price is more than fair for what you get. I cant say enough good things about the staff as well as the shop. The decor is beautifully laid out and totally inviting. Wait till you lay eyes on the hand painted leather couch!!!!I have now had three pieces done by Dave Lopez. What can I say about Dave!? Dave is a master artist. A true beast on the needle. I had an amazing experience at Ron and Daves! everybody made me feel so at home and so comfortable also being that I went alone, truly enjoyed this experience so much and had the best time and i am in LOVE with my tattoo, John was so nice and comforting and did an amazing job! Sarah-Michelle is great. She’s kind, she’s fun and she’s great at tattoos. I’m a rookie and she took care of me. Helped me through the whole process which started with an Ephemeral tattoo. I drove an hour just to see her and her only. Well worth it.

I got my first Tattoo at Ron and Dave’s 20+ years ago, came back about 8 years ago and I’m back again....I’ve had tattoos from many different artists, but it there is nothing like going back to where it began. Dave Lopez is the ultimate professional, traditional tattoo artist. Open to your ideas, and puts his own stamp on it, as it should be. I will be back in the shop after a quick cover-up and background shading to finish up my sleeve. It’s a little odd saying a tattoo shop is “family friendly” but this shop gives that feel.

Irma is wonderful, came to her in 2016 for what I thought would be my first and last tattoo...well a whole sleeve later and I think it’s safe to say I cannot recommend her enough! Whether you need her to tattoo something exactly how you want it or if you’re willing to give her more creative control she will not disappoint. I got a nose piercing done not that long ago, and everything was fine until my nose piercing started to sink into the hole. I called them about the quality of the jewelry and they said “they didn’t know” . Went to someone else and they told me it was low quality jewelry and I had to swap the post and jewelry out for a better quality one. Jenna is nice, and she pierced it very well though but please go somewhere with better quality jewelry.EDIT:Just seen the owners response, and I want to say:- I cleaned my piercing exactly how jenna told me to clean it and was extra careful with it. It only lasted 1 month, and not even, since within 3 weeks it was already sinking.- Respectfully, it is not my fault that a tattoo artist from your shop was answering a piercing question.- I tried going in, but every time I called, Jenna was not there.- I went to many different shops, and many artists have specified the jewelry was low quality. I got it switched and havent had a problem since, and still used the same method of cleaning.- Jenna is a great piercer, and everyone in the studio seemed skillful. This isnt a bash at the business, but rather a critique.

I’ve been tattooed by Irma for 2 pieces and wow! She is a true artist and really cares about the work she does by taking her time to make sure it’s placed correctly and done perfectly. I’ve had a few ideas in mind and she was able to make it reality and honestly way better than I imagined. Her line work is sharp, she pays attention to the little details and creates a piece of fine art. I constantly get compliments on the tattoos by Irma! & one of the pieces is a cover up and I am so impressed that she was able to fix my sternum and no one can tell!!! I went to Ron & Dave’s as a walk in in March, I was super nervous to get this tattoo done because I knew it would be the bigger than the other small ones I have. I had a guitar pic that i had found while cleaning my uncles apartment out after his passing. I spoke with the woman at the front desk who was very sweet and she introduced me to John Spano. I showed him a picture of the guitar pic, he was very honest from the start and told me that the tattoo would be larger than the actual size of the pic which I was okay with. Right then and there he drew it up for me and it was just perfect. I felt comfortable there, the place is so clean and the style of the shop is so cool. I made an appointment for two weeks later to get the tattoo on the inside of my arm. I would be lying if i said it didnt hurt but John was awesome. I love every detail of my tattoo it looks Just like the guitar pic and it truly Exceeded my expectations. I would recommend Ron & Dave’s to anyone that is shopping around. Chris did an awesome job! I love my tat. This polar is clean and professional. I love that the receptionist took time to wipe down the door knobs. All areas were covered with a sterile field. I never felt like the drawing was being rush to get to the next person. The atmosphere had good vibes as all persons in the room joined in conversation. I cant believe I ever went to another polar. After amassing a great tattoo collection from both Dave & Chris, I was very excited when Jenna started doing permanent makeup and couldnt wait to get my brows done as well. Its clear that strong worth ethic and talent run in the family. Jenna is a sweetheart and her attention to detail is amazing. She took her time to blend and choose the perfect color, giving three choices which we discussed and selected together. We talked about the shape and size once the outline was drawn. It was a collaboration every step of the way. The process was basically painless and so far (one week out) the healing has been a breeze. I already have, and will continue to, recommend Jenna to others. And the recently renovated space for permanent cosmetics and piercing is so cute!

I was recommended to Ron and Dave’s by a friend of mine. I recently experienced the terrible loss of my grandfather and wanted to get his hand writing tattooed on me. I was nervous, scared, and excited all in one because this would be my first tattoo. I made my appointment with Dan, who is super professional and also quite hysterical. Dan made me feel extremely comfortable during the entire process. I even got my second tattoo done by him about 2 months later! Overall, Ron and Dave’s is pretty dope and if you want some sick tatts, this is the place for you!!

Absolutely love this place! I had the pleasure of working with Dave and he was fabulous from beginning to end! I had a HORRIBLE scar on my stomach that not one plastic surgeon could fix. After having a botched tattoo job done on my thigh, I was a bit nervous getting another tattoo so I decided to do some research. I spent countless days stalking the IG account of Ron & Dave’s and looking at photos of such amazing pieces. Finally, I decided to walk into the shop. My first impression was that everyone was extremely friendly and professional. I booked Chris Lopez to do a scar cover up. On the day of my first sitting, I told Chris what I wanted done and he sketched up a beautiful design that I immediately liked. He took my vision and put it on paper. My first sitting with Chris took almost 3 hours and I spent that time having good laughs and conversation with him and others who were also working. The piece of art that Chris put on my body exceeded my expectations. It was so much nicer on my body and it was not even finished yet! My second sitting with him was another 3 hours and when I saw the final product; I fell in love with my tattoo all over again. Chris is a fantastic artist. His intricate detail and mastery of shading is exceptional. He created the perfect tattoo for me. I went to Ron and Daves last August for a piece on my shoulder and John, the artist that worked with me did a fantastic job and I was so impressed by how well he got the handwriting I wanted so perfectly as well as the rest of the piece. I was extremely happy. This year I went back to get lyrics tattooed on my robs and I requested John because I knew he could do handwriting well. The man did not disappoint, honestly Id trust him to tattoo any piece anywhere. John is an extremely talented artist, hes kind and suoer approachable. Twice this place has helped me remove jewelry that could not come out. Needed earrings removed before surgery and had an old piercing that I could not get out. Super friendly and helpful staff! Didn’t get charged for removal so ofc tip well! Will def go back for a piercing in the future.

I had originally walked in asking for words on the inside edge of my foot but John had advised me to consider a different foot placement based off of his experience with the healing process in that area. Irma is absolutely fantastic! I came to her for a half sleeve and chest tattoo. I came to her because I saw all her work with water colors tattoos, phenomenal. The sleeve I wanted was a transitional geometric pattern with splashes of color, oh and a arm band that needed to be covered up. Needed help putting a ball back on a new piercing. Since this is the closest place I figured I would try them. When I got their, there a man at the front desk and he was going to help me. But got rude when I asked him if he can wash his hands before anything because its a fresh piercing. I was told that it doesnt matter if he washed his hands cause everything was dirty and nothing was going to be sterile. And that was my point EXACTLY. Everything was dirty so he should wash his hands but he continued to tell me I was wrong and what I said made no sense. And told me I should probably do it myself or go back to where I got it. Thats not proper customer service or hygiene.

Irma is amazing! I followed her here from another shop. The shop is very clean and well kept and very friendly. Always a great experience from start to finish, and very profession. Highly recommended Ron & Dave’s.

Jesse did my tattoo and I had a very pleasant experience! The shop was friendly and welcoming. Jesse made sure I was ok during the whole session. 10/10 I am going to return for more work!

A tattoo is something you live with for life. You DONT want to go to a place where they can fu*** it up and you have to live with it. Chris at Ron & Daves is a true master.I recently had my tats redone. Some of them was 40 years old and faded badly. Well since then I was so impressed I gave Chris artistic freedom on 2 new ones. The only thing I can say is WOW! I have one more to redo and I wont go anywhere else. If you want quality I highly recommend Ron & Daves

My sister and I came in today and got a tattoo from John Spano and I can honestly say I love his work!! As soon as he finished I fell in love with my new tattoo. He knew exactly my style and I will definitely come back to get more ink from him.

I’ve been getting tattooed by the Lopez family for over 20 years now. They have done nothing but give me phenomenal tattoos and make me feel like family every time i am there. I’ve gotten a few other small tattoos from other shops but I’ve never gotten the same service or vibe from any of them like a do at Ron and Dave’s.

I walked in at 12 on a friday and only had to wait about half hour to get the work done. Girl at front desk is super helpful. The reason i gave it a 3 star is because the piece that I got came out nice but just different then what the artist and I had discussed minutes before he started. We agreed on no yellow in the wording because he recommended not to do so and I followed his recommendation but he ended up doing a word in yellow which isnt legible. Also, I told him right before he started that i wanted the airplane he was doing to be super colorful as well and he said ok but ended up just shading the whole thing in black. Overall, it came out pretty but just disappointed that the artist didnt stick to the plan.

Been going to Ron and Daves for years and always got the best service. I have gotten by last five tattoos with Dave and he goes beyond expectation everytime. I always have an idea and he brings it to life. 10 OUT OF 10.

This place is awesome, I walked right in and showed my design to Jesse and he printed out exactly what I wanted, It was my first tattoo so I was really nervous, And Jesse made me feel safe as hell, I even passed out afterwards and they took care of me for like 15 minutes afterwards, Great Place

Due to the professional, quality work this family of talented artists are very busy. This location has been here for almost 25 years.they open at noon. Parking is limited on the nearby streets. Busses,banks,restaurants and I278 staten Island expressway are nearby. I highly recommend

Got my septum pierced here, they did a great job and everyone there is very kind and professional.

I waited a long time to have my eyeliner and eyebrows tattooed I have had previous tattoos done by dave jens brother when I heard she was going for her license I was thrilled being every experience I have had at Ron and Daves was awesome they all make you feel so comfortable and at home lets face it not everyone likes to get tattoos but if u are considering permanent makeup I would 100 percent reccomend jen she is amazing no more dyingmy brows every 2 weeks and no makeup the procedure was done with great care and I was very comfortable
