My experiences with this tattoo shop and specifically ruth, had been nothing but fantastic i had gotten my first tattoo of an American traditional wolf there and the staff had been extremely friendly and helpful guiding me through every step of the way making the entire experience seamless. Everyone in the shop always has a positive attitude and the atmosphere feels welcoming and friendly. The staff do an excellent job of keeping the shop clean and hygienic.Now to talk about ruth, ruth has been phenomenal in every session i have had with her and she is a warm welcoming person who helps you feel at home and comfortable when you are getting work done. Whether it’s talking about your favorite pop tart flavor or the horrible conditions of the road, ruth is always fully engaged in her work and her client’s conversations creating a memorable experience. Ruth is a master at her craft and she is able to consistently produce incredible American traditional pieces, i would not trust anyone else with my body.If you’re ever in the area or simply looking to get some new tattoos i cannot recommend this incredible tattoo store highly enough! Love this shop. Very clean and phenomenal artists. I’ve gotten several tattoos here. Including a gorgeous coverup by Mike. The last few visits were with the extremely talented Kim (Ruthie). She’s amazing. She recently did my Rebel Alliance tattoo and I love it. I get compliments all the time. I can’t wait to go back for more! Very friendly and professional staff - don’t hesitate to stop in with questions.

By far my most favorite place to get tattooed, I’ve been coming here for about 8-9 years now and Irma is the main reason why. She’s the best, the most kindest and understanding artist I’ve met. She’s always open to new ideas and she knows how to make your idea come to life and even better. The last piece I got done by her was my art the clown piece and I still get compliments on it constantly. Truly a 10 out of 10 for me.

Got pierced here and the next day I said I was concerned about the placement of the piercing. The piercer was clearly not happy about me criticizing her work, which I hoped she would be able to re-do. I consulted with a piercer in another shop which agreed that the placement and gauge size was not correct with relation to my features and that since I had that area pierced before that the best way would have been to go through original piercing location. I wish she wouldve handled my concerns like a professional and corrected the piercing but with the way things were handled I no longer felt comfortable and ended up losing money and taking out the piercings.

I have to been to Inkstained a few times and every time is a great experience! They are all super talented! Kim (Ruthie) is my girl! She did an amazing cover up for me, that you’d never know was a cover. Always professional. Everyone in the shop is welcoming and friendly…no place else I’d go and I am going again!

My wife and I have been going there for the last few years to get tattooed. The whole staff are very friendly and make you feel welcomed. They’re all super talented, Ruth(Kim) took what I was picturing in my mind and brought it to life. This is the second time I’ve gotten tattooed at ink-Staiend. Ruthie fit me in her schedule and we talked for a while on what I wanted and if it was doable. She was super nice and patient. Through out the whole process I didn’t feel rushed or ignored. Same with my first time there. Couldn’t say enough good things about the staff there and the place. Inkstained is by far the best tattoo shop Ive been to on SI. The atmosphere is laid back but very fun. Ive been going to Kim (Ruthie) for a couple years now. She does an amazing job and Im obsessed with every tattoo shes ever done for me (which is majority of them at this point). I recommend her to every person that asks me for a reco, even my mom goes to her haha. I think picking a shop and artist that you feel comfortable with is the most important part of the process, and Ive always felt that way in Kims chair at inkstained!

Irma does beautiful work. She is very talented and takes exceptional care to detail, color and design. Wow, they are amazing and the female artist who helped me remove an earring that I could not get the back off of it for the longest, is the best. She took care of business and removed it in less than 1 seconds, and I was fighting with it for a few years. I will definitely go back there she is an angel. I’d like to start off by saying the shop is very clean and aesthetically pleasing. Everyone in their is very nice and there’s a lot of talented artist. My artist is Irma, I went to her with my first tattoo idea and after that I felt completely comfortable with giving her total artistic freedom to finish up my sleeve. The entire process was incredible from her accommodating appointments to her fantastic personality and how comfortable she made me feel every session. I would say I’d go back but I’ve already gone back several times so I would definitely recommend her to anyone getting any tattoo in any style or color, she is great and her work speaks for itself.

I visited this shop yesterday after calling to find out if they can remove a piercing that was stuck in my lip from another shop. When I arrived I was greeted and felt welcomed. The shop was beautiful. Brandon the piercer was amazing . Everything was clean and sterile.The process was fast and easy and would 10/10 recommend coming here if you ever need a piercing removed or changed. At the end I was able to keep my piercing that I had and just needed a longer bar. Brandon made sure he used the correct size jewelry to accommodate my swelling. Definitely will be coming back in the future for more piercings. Thank you so much .

My sister and i went to get our navels pierced. The workers are very friendly and the place was really welcoming. Its very spacious in there too!! When i was brought into the room after my piercer set everything up, he made me feel very comfortable and explained what he was doing set by step. Im very happy with the way my piercing came out and i will definitely go back :)!

Got a tattoo with ms.Ruthie today, needless to say, THIS IS THE BEST TATTOO IVE EVER GOT and was the first time I wasn’t ripped off AT ALL. I’m going to be coming back 100% and recommend ms.Ruthie to anyone. Ink Stained has by far, exceeded my expectations in every way. From the relaxing atmosphere of the decor to the very kind, patient, and amazingly talented artist, Ruth, I highly recommend this studio. We definitely plan to return!

I was unfortunately assigned to Tramaine when I came in for a consultation for a tattoo cover up. In retrospect, I wish I had done my research on her before working with her. She has been working full time with Ink Stained Tattoo for only a few years, and the reviews mentioning her by name make up 100% of their 1 star reviews. It really speaks volumes about Tramaine’s character, work ethic, and professionalism that no one I saw has anything good to say about her. It is also a shame that I have to give this whole Studio a 1 star review when my problems were specifically with Tramaine. However, I reached out to the Studio and manager Mike multiple times to try to resolve my problems, and was never given the time of day.Over the duration of months working with Tramaine, she showed poor communication skills, I never saw an expectable design from her, she had no respect for me or my time, and she refused to continue working with me after I told her ‘I was disappointed and baffled by her unprofessionalism.’ (I guess the truth hurts). I was disappointed with her because she canceled an appointment that had been scheduled for a month just 1 hour before I arrived at the studio. Keeping in mind that I live 2-3 hours away from the studio, I had every right to be upset, and this would be inappropriate behavior of a ‘professional’ in any setting. After the cancellation, I had waisted and entire day, a total of 5 hours driving, and put 100s of miles on my vehicle. What really put me over the edge, is that Tramaine refused to give back my $100 deposit, when I feel she was the one who cancelled the appointment and also chose to stop working with me.My advice; Dont waste your time or money

A few months ago my friends and I wanted to get piercings. Upon reading a plethora of good reviews, we decided to go to InkStained to get them done. My friend got a lobe piercing and I got a naval piercing. I’m not sure if the piercer we got them from had any knowledge on how to pierce someone. My friend’s lobe piercing was super low and the jewelry was so small that it didn’t allow any room for healing, and instead the ball/gem went through his ear. My naval piercing didn’t even go through my naval; it was flat through the surface of my belly. This inevitably led to the piercing getting infected and rejecting. If you’re looking for a great professional piercing: This is not the place.

I got a tattoo in Feb and I thought much more detail could have went and the workers are very childish cocky and arrogant. I dont like that they claim they know how to do everything but then they talk you out of getting the tattoo in the spot you want it. They think they are the best and honestly I dont agree is their works good yes but is it the best no I went to a much better artist and got a huge tattoo for a lot cheaper and it is amazing and quality work also no stencil all free handed.

Can’t go wrong with this place! Got pierced here a few times by Brandon and each time he has made it a pleasant experience. I got my double helix done recently and he was nothing but professional, comforting, and had a lot of patience.

I’m underaged but they where totally cool about me getting a piercing as long as an adult was with me, this experience was a 10/10 in my opinion the cleanliness and the service was good I went in for a triple ear lobe and the person who attended me was really cool about the process, I would go again soon!

So last Saturday I napped to be in Staten Island area. I really wanned to get my ear pierced for long time. These guys were only one opened I called them, they even waited for me for awhile. Came to do one piercing and came out with the bar😅 and you know why, coz when you meet a really good tattoo master for the first time, one second is enough for you to trust him that much. I dont even remember if I felt any pain, the whole thing took for 10 min tops. Piercing was made with needle and all professionally sanitized. He gave some advices about post care. Price is fair enough for the service 👌 p.s. pic is one week from the piercing day

Terrible experience with Tremaine. Since assigned to her I had to constantly try to reach out to her on even setting an appointment. Thereafter it takes forever to get a response from her on things such as the finished drawing and pricing. I suggest that if you want her be prepared to constantly have to reach out to her and the store just to get a response. I havent tried anyone else in the store I chose to find someone more professional.

Had my tattoo done by tremaine. She’s very nice but It took me 3 weeks to notice that my tattoo wasn’t done very good. The lines on my tattoo go from very thin to extremely thick which is not what I wanted nor what the picture showed. Going to get it fixed at another place.

Ruth was my piercer and she was easy going, funny and super calming.
