Brow Eyed Girl

If I could give zero stars, I would. My money was essentially stolen and no services were rendered. In August, I scheduled an appointment and being unfamiliar with the area to find parking and the business itself, plus hitting some traffic on the parkway, I unfortunately showed up more than the allowed 10 minutes late. I received no calls from the business to confirm if I was on my way but I was getting 2 services (and therefore had 2 time slots) I could only assume it would be OK, and if anything at least offer to do one of the 2 services I had scheduled if they didnt have time for both. When I showed up about 15 minutes late, the business door was locked. I knocked and nobody answered. I had to leave, try to call, and still got no answer. I came back and knocked again and after a few more minutes I was finally met at the door by the owner who honestly looked confused to see me. Her tone was extremely rude right off the bat, and I was subsequently accused of being 30 minutes late (I wasnt...) and told that the person assigned to my service had already gone home for the day. I can appreciate that they have a cancellation policy but their website clearly states that arriving more than 10 minutes late will necessitate the forfeiture of your deposit, and a new deposit will be necessary to secure a new appointment. However, I was charged after 15 minutes for the rest of the service as if I had been a no show. I was not a no show. I believe the owner is running a predatory business and counts on people missing their appointments since they dont call, dont answer the phone, and keep the door locked - its a tactic to ensure they can make extra money for no services rendered. Her attitude sealed the deal for me. I wont be returning and I would caution anyone from going here in the future.EDIT:In response to the below reply from the business, I am disappointed to see theyre doubling down on keeping 100% of the money even though, once again, I did not no show the appointment.The quote pulled in the review from their own policy page is also not on their website. This is the late arrival policy in its entirety:In the event of a late arrival, we regret that we cannot extend the duration of your appointment. If your arrival is delayed by more than 10 minutes, we will need to reschedule, out of consideration for our artists and other clients. It’s essential to note that arriving more than 10 minutes late will necessitate the forfeiture of your deposit, and a new deposit will be necessary to secure a new appointment. - Nowhere does it state that Ill be charged the full amount after 15 minutes.Additionally, saying I was a full 30 minutes late is a complete lie. Again, I was not a no-show. I was physically there and was able to speak with the owner. Claiming that my lateness would affect the next client is also a lie, since the artist was sent home for the day. It was obvious that they did not have any appointment after mine. I also received no acknowledgement or apology regarding the manner in which I was treated, as the owner was very rude and unkind to me.

Ive been here twice and worked with two different professionals - Courtney and Jaclyn. Both were great. I travel 45 minutes to go here because I trust their knowledge and artistry. They are helping me reshape my eyebrows. And the place is beautiful and clean! Spa-like.

Jaclyn was amazing! She corrected my brows and they look absolutely beautiful! She knew how to match them perfectly for my face and skin tone - I’d highly recommend her!

Courtney is professional and meticulous and my brows were in great hands with her. The office is so clean, (and also love the decor), and she takes special care to make sure you are comfortable and satisfied. Her aftercare instructions were also very helpful and detailed and she made herself available as well if I had any questions. I did the microblading and love it. I found their pricing to be competitive with others and the extra attention Courtney gives each client to ensure they are satisfied with their look is extra special and unique these days. I will be going back for more services as soon as I can!

Absolutely Amazing every single time I go!! Courtney is an amazing brow artist and friend. I feel extremely comfortable talking to her about all kinds of things and trusting her with my brows. She is the most sweetest, kindest, realest human being I ever had the pleasure to know. She is truly a professional and humble and knows how to treat clients. *reposted since my review was conveniently deleted*TLDR— avoid this costly and unfriendly establishment!BEG sent out an email asking for models to promote their permanent make up services; anyone selected would receive FREE services (see pic). Naturally, I replied since the procedure can be costly. I arrived at the requested time and was told to be available 11-3p (see pic). I didn’t get my service until 4:30p… and was late to pick up my daughter from school. I was sitting on the couch doing nothing for hours. Then, when it came time for my touch up, I received an email saying that I had to pay $150. When I reminded them that I was told the cost was free, they referred to a conversation with Courtney that I never had and stated that the $150 fee was in the consent form. See the picture for the insincere apology that they gave…. The worst part is that my brows turned out horribly. The color faded unevenly and almost entirely. I texted and emailed Courtney several times to ask her if my brows healed correctly and she never replied.

My mom has always been insecure about her eyebrows and would spend so much time in the mornings trying to draw them in. On her birthday I promised her I would pay for her to get them microbladed. Courtney did a fantastic job and my mom is so happy with her new eyebrows! Thank you Courtney for making my mom feel comfortable and in love with her new brows!

I started going to Courtney a few months ago and she really transformed my brows in the best way possible! When explaining her to people I call her the brow god! Lol. I have wanted to get my brows done for years, but have been terrified of the pain, healing process and if it would last on my skin. Brow Eyed Girl & Amanda made sure none of fears came true! From the pre-draw process to numbing, and then the actual draw… I had no concern of how my brows would look. With the numbing, the pain was definitely subdued, the few times I could feel it, I was able to breathe through. If you follow the instructions for aftercare, the healing process is fine. Truly one of the best decisions Ive made was to have my brows microbladed by Courtney! I wanted to do this for years, and I wish I had done it sooner - its honestly life changing! My brows look SO GOOD every day now - no need to fill them in and she shaped them so much better than I ever did anyway! My makeup routine is so fast now, and I look great even when not wearing any. I LOVE my new powder brows! After years of 90s plucking my eyebrows never recovered. If there is one good thing about this quarantine it is that it lead me to Courtney for my eyebrows. Jaclyn provided services on me (Lip Blush, Eyeliner, Microblading and a Lash Lift ) and all I can say is WOW. I was apprehensive at first about feeling any pain but all these services were painless and I ended up absolutely loving my results! I had the best possible experience with Courtney at Brow Eyed Girl! She is an amazing person and talented artist. I chose a color close to my lip color to keep it more natural but Courtney will mix up a color that you’re happy with. Courtney has done brow microblading (and multiple touch-ups over 2 years) for me. I am extremely pleased with the results!! My brows were quite sparse, and it took me a minimum of ten frustrating minutes each AM to try to fill them in and make them even. Now it takes me literally under a minute to touch them up lightly, only when needed, and they are shaped perfectly. Courtney is very professional, personable, and most importantly a great listener! It’s clear that she is focused on giving her customer exactly what they want. I highly recommend her-I l have gotten many compliments, but above all I feel great about how my brows look now!

I stumbled upon Courtneys business with a simple Google search for eyebrow tinting in the area and I am so glad I found her! She is a true master at her craft and does not disappoint.About a month ago I came in for the first time a bit nervous (she could tell, haha). I had never gotten my eyebrows tweezed, shaped, and tinted before - Ive gotten them threaded in the past but was never that impressed. My eyebrows grow pretty slowly and are pretty sparse so the thought of even letting someone touch them used to scare me -- until I came to Brow Eyed Girl. Courtney took time to listen to my concerns and understand how I wanted my brows to come out and she was able to execute it perfectly! I dont think I could trust anyone else with my brows, I mean they *are* on your face so you need to find someone who is kind, professional, and highly skilled.Courtney exceeded my expectations, and I would recommend her for all your brow needs! She also provides other services for eyelashes, lip blush, etc. An added plus is how clean and bright her studio is - exactly the type of place that will welcome you with open arms. The worst thing about getting microblading done with Courtney is not seeing her anymore as I did when she tinted and shaped it monthly (which she also does amazingly).I have considered microblading for years as I am strawberry blond and am not exaggerating if I say my brows are not visible. So the last 20 years I spent every morning trying to paint them or having them tinted regularly… Not anymore! I was nervous to get micro blading done. It’s your face, what if it goes wrong. I did a lot of research. I follow a lot of microbladers. Brow eyed girl showed their before and after and they always looked the most natural. After they healed (and omg the healing process is a real doozy) they look soooo natural. Before I had them done, it took me 20 minutes to do my eyebrows. Now I can just go. I don’t touch them. They look natural and great. I feel confident not wearing makeup because my eyebrows look good. But I warn you, as soon as you get them done, they look dark and crazy. Let them heal. 5 days after getting the done, you will LOVE your brows. I recommend this to anyone who has sparse brows. She was so thorough in the mapping process and made sure my brows were as symmetrical and even as possible, while checking in with me the entire time. I had very dark eyebrows, but they werent a full as I wanted and they were also lopsided. We discussed how we could improve the symmetry and create a natural looking arch. The session itself is virtually pain free with the numbing cream. Courtney is a true artist, her sessions are long as she doesnt rush and ensures your brows are perfect. Afterwards, I was given a takeaway bag with some supplies and instructions to follow. I was so impressed with my results, that I also booked an eyelash enhancement session with my microblading follow up. That also was virtually pain free. Waking up in the morning to perfect brows and eyes has been a game changer, only wish I had done it years ago.

I am transgendered, and working on my transition. Courtney was kind enough to work on me on an extended basis. We snuck up on the final look in stages a month apart. It was less noticeable to the people that I know, and the final results were and are incredible. Just went for eyebrow micro blading touch up. First visit to Millburn office with Kristen and it was amazing. Kristen was so good! Second visit to new Summit office, again with Kristen. The office is beautiful and once again Kristen was amazing. This was a first experience for me and I will most certainly return, maybe even for other services.

This is the worst place you can go to! Courtney is a thief!! I cancelled my appointment and she charged me $506 and kept my deposit. This place is over priced and Courtney is RUDE! Very happy I found Courtney’s studio a few months ago. She’s professional and did a wonderful job with both brows and lashes. The first time I went I called and got an appointment the next day and this week I booked online and went the same day. Courtney performed microblading on my overplucked and uneven eyebrows and did a fantastic job getting them back to an even and great look. They look so good that my need for makeup has really lessoned. They look very natural (I’m even shocked when I look up close and realise that what I thought was eyebrows is the microblading). I drove 40 minutes to get to Brow Eyed Girl and it was well worth it! I spent a long time doing research on a place to get my eyebrows done after relocating to Central Jersey. Nothing satisfied my needs so I took a drive. Courtney shaped my brows with just a tweezer! I was shocked at how great they look especially since I had not gotten them done since July (6 months!) I am soooo pleased and glad I was able to find her. I also tinted. The tint looks totally natural and makes my brows look fuller.

Kristin is amazing!!! I literally love my eyebrows. I had almost no hair and no structure so I got powder brows and it looks incredibly natural. The healing process is just as she described it and it came out just as amazing as she said it would! 100% would do it again.

I recently had a microblading touch up at Brow eyed Girl. I have been a customer there for the last four years. I am extremely satisfied with my results. Courtneys attention to detail and professionalism is impeccable. My eyebrows look natural and perfectly shaped, and the whole process was comfortable and well-explained. I highly recommend Courtneys microblading session for anyone considering it. She always exceeds my expectations, and I couldnt be happier with the outcome!

Got microbladed and hated it after both session 1 and 2. After the first I was left with two tails and when I reached out bc I had a wedding before the touch up appointment I was told to wax my own tail off bc it was too low instead of it being microbladed to fit how my brow grew. I disagreed and left it. After the second session while laying down and checking the work it appeared fine but once I got to my car I noticed it was uneven immediately. One is thinner and starts further back then the other thicker brow. I reached out the following day and her response was bleak. Just that she couldn’t see me till January. No customer service skills what so ever. I decided to follow my intuition and cancel my future appointment and no longer have her handle my brows going further. I tried canceling through my log in and it wasn’t scheduled. I reached out through DM explaining I’d like to cancel and the response was um ok. Courtney was very friendly during both services but if you critique her work in any way her bed side manner changes quickly. For that reason I wouldn’t recommend. Customer service should be put into practice regardless if the client likes your work or doesn’t.

I had my eyebrows done by Courtney, we decided on the hybrid brow because of my oily skin. She was reassuring and the outcome is beyond my expectations. My daughter also goes to Courtney for tweezing and tinting. She’s the best!

I have very sparse/zero eyebrows. I get it from my mom. I have been to various eyebrow specialists throughout my life and its safe to say, I have found THE CHOSEN ONE! Courtney performs miracles on my sparse eyebrows. They look so amazing when she does them and they truly transform my face. My Mom is also a huge fan too. During the covid shutdown we obviously couldnt get eyebrows done. But despite the lockdown, my eyebrows still retained its beautiful shape from the previous appt (pre lockdown). All I had to do was pluck a few hairs but during those 3 months, it still retained the shape. Courtney is the BEST EYEBROW SPECIALIST IN ALL OF NJ! PERIODT! *micdrop*

I am leaving this review on behalf of my unsatisfied family memeber who received services from your establishment a few week ago but is not quiet internet savvy. As you can see by the owners comment “Jonah you aren’t a client of ours, no need to leave “one star” ... looks like you are a competitor!” The owner Courtney is very unprofessional. In terms of her cosmetic work she is exceptional. However, when it comes to professionalism and attitude, keeping appointments and being on time she is lacking.
