Came for a walk in and things could not have gone any smoother! Thank you lots to Big Top for a great first experience. Nadja is super awesome and made the 40 ish minute tattoo feel like a breeze. Awesome line work and personalized sketch. Will be back to add on it.

Love Big Top Tattoo! I have nine tattoos and they have done two of them, the first years ago. I have wanted this for a couple years and Josh was amazing at getting it at the placement I wanted in the format I asked for. I love that this place is walk-in friendly as most of my tattoos are not large or complex enough to need a consult.

I got my first ever tattoo done here yesterday, and despite me being a bit nervous, I had an overall phenomenal experience. The shop is a great environment, and Adian went out of his way to put me at ease. The work turned out exactly as I hoped it would, and it was done quite quickly. Will definitely return here for my next one!

I got a tattoo 40 years ago that was the worst of my tattoos. I have tried to have it covered up but no artist would even try. Stopped into Big Top on Saturday. I was prepared to just have it covered by a black band around my wrist. They told me they wouldnt do it, they could do better. Josh took on the challenge. I was in the navy and had been inked by a couple famous artists. When I told them Mike Malone, Honolulu, and Pinki Lee, Hong Kong had worked on me it got the attention of a few of the artists. Josh agreed to do the work with one request, I had to let him take photos of their work. Of course I agreed. Sunday my worst tattoo became a thing of beauty. I was a walk in and all the staff greeted me with open arms. I would definitely recommend Big Top Tattoo to anyone looking for a clean, friendly, talented shop. Since Josh did the magic I would definitely recommend Josh. I think any of the artists would be good. Thanks Josh for making my 40 year nightmare into something great!!

Always thrilled with the work I have done by Loaf. Amazing at what he does and I highly recommend him. This shop is always clean and no matter who the artist is Ive yet to see work come out of here that I didnt like. I have two other pieces that I got elsewhere that I actually plan on having redone and covered by these guys. Definitely regret going anywhere else.

Exceptional tattoo experience with Giuseppe . He did a tattoo on my finger that has some fine detail and it turned out fantastic. I needed a quick touch up after the initial healing but after that it has been great and gets complimented all the time. I highly recommend Giuseppe for any tattoo needs.

I honestly never write reviews. But I felt I had to let others know my story. I’m sure I’m not the only one that’s ever received A tattoo that they were unhappy with, because a artist claimed they can do it and afterwards you find out they couldn’t. And here you are left with a tattoo you’re just so unhappy with. So that being said, for many years I was extremely leery to ever get another tattoo again. And today I happened to stop in Big Top Tattoo. SO GLAD I DID! I really gotta say that not only is that place so welcoming, friendly, kind, Polite, clean, and just has such caring staff that they are all so talented and patient with each client. I’m pleased to say that I had a VERY TALENTED AMAZING ARTIST named Loaf and I walked out with a absolutely beautiful tattoo that I’m VERY HAPPY WITH along with my son who also got one from Loaf. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM AND I PROMISE YOU you’ll be one happy person with his amazing talent and art. I’m beyond excited I finally found a place and the perfect tattoo artist. What a relief.... Hands down the best shop I have ever walked into. The vibe is warm and welcoming. The talent is amazing and the artists are even better!! Especially my guy Loaf! He is beyond talented and surpassed any expectation that I may have had when I first started getting tattooed by him a year ago. His lines are tight, his color pops and lets be honest he brings my ideas to life, even when they are all over the place (; And if you haven’t sat in one of those shop chairs you really should because they are super comfortable!

Lorne Morris is the best! This is my first tattoo and he nailed it. Lorne is very professional and fun to chat with. He made sure I was comfortable throughout the process. Big Top is clean. The other customers and tattoo artist were friendly. Music was perfect despite what others might say. As a first timer I would definitely recommend you check them out.

Got my most recent tattoo here from Tessa. I have 3 others and can definitely say this one was the best experience I have had yet! I came as a walk in with an idea and Tessa sketched out the perfect tattoo for me. She recommended small changes to the design to ensure that it would still look clean a few years down the road. It was nice to hear how much they cared about really doing good quality work! I will certainly be returning here for any future tattoos!

I could not say better things about my experience here. I just got a forearm piece done by Lorne and it turned out better than I could have imagined. Hes got a gentle hand and hes swift! We covered the inside of a my forearm with a lioness and cub and he completed the whole thing with incredible detail in about 3.5 hours. I do have a high pain tolerance but not lying when I say that I was barely uncomfortable during the entire tattoo. I have my other forearm done as well and the piece he did had more outline and more shading and it hurt significantly less. Not only that but hes good company too. The entire shop was friendly and just a good vibe. Wish I could go back tomorrow and finish the half sleeve. Cant wait to have him add to it!

I would 100 percent recommend this shop. They have an array of talented artists who truly do an amazing job. I have personally been going to Jeff for all of my tattoos for the past three years and can honestly say I love all of my pieces. Loaf did a small peice on my chest. I was surprised when he said it was done already, but it was perfect. The cleanest lines, which is why i went to him in the first place. Ill be back for my next one for sure.

Tessa is wonderful :) I have been to her twice in the last three weeks for two different tattoos. I didnt have a design or really even reference images for either - I told her the meaning behind the tattoos and some elements that I like, and she did the rest :) My first tattoo was a simple tree and she designed it and placed it perfectly. My second tattoo was larger and on my side from my hip to under my bra line with color and black and gray - Tessa designed the whole thing so thoughtfully and carefully, with perfect execution. Tessa made the whole experience so pleasant and as pain-free as possible. Shes super great all around, and I highly recommend her to anyone :) shes an excellent and talented artist that I plan to have do my half sleeve and back tattoo. I am so thankful for all the work she did for me - its refreshing to see people who put so much into their art :) love this place and specifically Tessa!

I had some Initial ink done at another local shop, the quality was good but wanted to get more of a completed look for my half sleeve to come together which wasn’t happening. I did my research and came upon Loaf. His work and reputation were impressive. He gave me an honest opinion and told me with confidence for sure he could make this look good. I’ve been to Big Top before, but this was my first time getting a tattoo from Loaf. I came here with my sister to get a tattoo together. Not only was he patient with our uncertainty on locations and size, he accommodated our changes to the tattoo design very well. He was also super patient and accommodating to our schedule, as we had to change the date and time. I’m in love with the work, and he was just an awesome guy to talk to. My tattoo looks great, it’s healing wonderfully, and I’d recommend Loaf to anyone. Whether you’re a first timer or going for your 20th, I’d recommend him anytime.

I absolutely love my tattoo and I love my tattoo artist even more. I went in wanting a specific tattoo on my inner fingers and he explained all the reasons why that wasnt such a good idea. I love that he didnt just take my money knowing the tattoo wouldnt last in the spot I was requesting. He gave me some really good suggestions and within minutes I was tattooed and out the door. I just had my full arm tattooed at Big Top with Loaf. His style and input was great. Whenever I had an idea and it wouldnt work, he would let me know. He cares about his artwork and doesnt want his customers to walk around with something that just wont look good.Everyone else that worked there was very nice and I saw a lot of art work over the past year, and everyone seems to do an excellent job, especially Loaf ;) Im sad that my arm is done.This place is very clean and I recommend checking them out for your next tattoo.Great job Loaf!

Best shop I’ve been to period, but definitely the best shop in Michigan for sure. Getting my second piece done by Dan and I couldn’t be happier with the quality of his work and the atmosphere of the shop he runs. Anyone you get work done with in his shop does a fantastic job. My name Is Nick, My Fiance and I came in here to get tattoos as walk-ins on a Sunday as they were still pretty busy, we got a consultation from Mark(The Owner) they couldnt take us that second but Mark had us leave our number, we left thinking that we wouldnt ever get a call back at all to come on back once they were done(we were more than welcome to wait for someone to be available for a walk in). They gave us a call same day and we came back in and were able to get fairly reasonable sized tattoos for reasonable prices. The work was really well done, My Fiance got writing on her left arm and I got this fun awesome Black Widow. Both tattoos were done by Loaf, and all the artist there were awesome. I was recommended to this place by my friend and I would definitely reccommend this place to anyone else looking to get some quality work done. Theyre all awesome funny people and it was a great experience for a first time tattoo for myself. THANK YOU.

Came here to get my 2nd tattoo a month after I got my 1st one out in vegas. I came in with a basic picture of a dog similar to my first one. And asked to add a collar to the one I already had. Got a walk in tattoo, talked to someone then waited for a bit for a free artist. Got tattooed by Davey I showed him what I wanted (Black and White wild flower design) and he kept the style buy changed up the flowers, and some of the stems, as well as just making it more less cluttered which was was awesomeHe did a great job, I felt comfortable the whole time, it was clean, paid a good price for it. Couldnt have asked for more. Im super happy with my tattoo

I got my first tattoo from big top, and they were so professional. Since it was on my outer forearm i had to lay down, but i was very comfortable. I always hear stories of people being uncomfortable.I get compliments all the time on it, they did such a great job, im getting another here very soon!

The atmosphere of the shop is interesting and unique, but comforting all the same. If you are possessed by a demon dont go to their bathroom. Would get more tattoos from there in the future.

This is the only place I will go for a tattoo. I went to other places to try and get an estimate and this is the only place where there wasnt some disinterested receptionist booking he appointments. Davey James came right up and shook my hand and said hi, as soon as I walked in. Lorne did my first tattoo and Davey did my second. Both as quick walk-ins. If they arent currently with a customer, the guys are happy to help! The overall environment is open and inviting, and the artwork on literally every wall is a small sample of the hard work each artist has put into his craft over the years.

Shop is great. Quality work from everybody in there. Loaf is currently working on my arm and I couldn’t be happier with the work he’s done or the experience he’s created. Very good at his craft and very professional. Proud to say I’ve gotten work done by him. They really know what they’re doing in there. If I could give them more stars I would.

I have been looking for someone to cover up a piece on my back for the last 5 years. I found Danrick on Instagram and loved what he specialized in. Came in to see him and told him what I wanted, and he created the most beautiful masterpiece for me. He covered my whole back with such an intricate peacock, full of beautiful colors. I couldn’t be more happier about the outcome. He worked so well with me and always made sure I was comfortable, even took a break and made sure I ate lunch with the whole shop before we continued since I sat for over 5 hours. Couldn’t be happier with his service. My all time favorite tattoo from my favorite artist 🙏🏼

I love my tattoo that my daughters got done for me on Mothers day. With it being a copy of the original one my mom had done 23years prior when I got my 1st one done! I showed him a simple text with the words I wanted for my tattoo and he came back with a beautiful elegant template that was exactly what I had wanted but could not express! It was larger than I had wanted and even though he tried to explain why it should be bigger, I was still unsure. So he patiently re-created the template smaller a few times to show me how that would look and he was right, it was the correct size the first time!Great staff, very friendly and patient. As a matter of fact, when I made the initial call to see if I could get in that night, my signal dropped and he called me back to finish giving me information!

Walked in on a whim today because the shop looked nice and well kept, even from the outside. I immediately talked to Jesse, who was incredibly welcoming and eased any anxiety i may have had. After a short wait, the process began and Jesse continued to be friendly. He managed to do my tattoo perfectly while still chatting about TV with me. Its a simple piece, so any mistakes would be blatantly obvious, but he made none. It took half as long and i paid half as much as I expected to based on work Ive watched my friends get done at other shops. Not only would I reccomend Big Top, Im coming back next week for more

Ive have 4 small tats done,my 4 sisters and I went and had a special tat.my daughter and her husband go there as do 2 of my nephews.The guys are great there,very friendly and will work with you on what you want.We are all happy with all the tats weve had done. Great experience here. Lorne did mine and he was great! I was a walk in on a Saturday and I got my piece drawn up and inked within two hours. Great atmosphere, prices are reasonable, definitely recommend.

Mark is a wonderful tattooer and all around artist with a great eye for composition. Anyone would be lucky to be tattooed by him. Especially any illustrative or traditional Japanese inspired pieces or even a combination of styles. For quality large scale pieces, he’s the man for the job.

All I can say is I will not be going back. Ive heard good experiences others have had here, the rudeness and arrogance is just one problem. There is no privacy so you hear all the banter between artists. They cant even afford comfortable seats for there clients, they have stackable chairs to sit on. The shop is way out dated and dont even get me started on the awful music that you have no choice but to listen to. There are way better shops out there and way more talented artists that will appreciate there clients considering we are the ones paying.

I had loaf and the tattoo turned out great! The artists are super easy-to-talk-to people and take their own art very seriously. If I get another tattoo I will definitely come here again.

Dan Rick @ Big Top Tattoo is an expert at his craft. He revived, enhanced and saved two of my existing tattoos. Recently, I had Dan add some work on my back and he exceeded my expectations once again. The guy is busy and books far in advance, but worth the wait no doubt.

I have gotten three tattoos from Josh Fallon at Big Top. Quality of work is great, staff and atmosphere is very friendly. Definitely sticking with them for the rest of my artwork.

I came into the shop a few minutes after they opened and asked if they could do a quick walk in. Everyone seemed busy, but they quickly found a way to squeeze in my little tattoo into their busy schedule. My tattoo turned out a lot better than expected and I will be going back. The only downside is that they accept CASH ONLY.

Just finished getting my tattoo by JEFF! And I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it! He totally nailed what I asked for. It came out better than I expected! He knew I was nervous and totally put me at ease. I can’t wait to come back to get my other tat worked on.

Mr Heggie has been doing a sleeve coverup for my daughter for the last few months. The shop is always clean and sterilization is on point and consistent. Friendly helpful staff. Went here for a cover up of a thick black tattoo. Josh worked some magic because you cant see it anymore and Im in love with my new tattoo. He also told me jokes to get my mind off of the sensitive areas. For real, the best.

Good art is overshadowed by the blatant racism.My little brother got his first tattoo from an artist here back in December and had a great experience, so I didnt hesitate to choose Big Top when I wanted to get a cover up on my knee. I walked in and talked to an artist, who quoted me a price and told me hed be available in an hour. I sat down in the shop to wait, looked at the artists past work, which was very impressive. Mr. Heggies work also caught my eye, but as I looked closer at one of his flash sheets, I saw a design that featured the words Arbeit Macht Frei. I did a double take, and thought maybe it was somehow ironic and not pro-Nazi (unlikely), but as I sat back down to wait the last ten minutes or so, one of the artists (who had glasses, and who I had previously assumed was Heggie) started telling blatantly racist jokes. One other artist seemed amused, and then a woman in the back chimed in that maybe it wasnt cool. The artists who were telling the jokes and laughing made fun of the woman, sarcastically asking if she was triggered, then continued to make more jokes, as well as acknowledge that the jokes were racist. I had heard quite enough, and got up, walked out, and left. I was really disappointed that Id wasted my time but I am not willing to spend my money in a shop where racism is not just tolerated, but encouraged. All of the art I looked at was phenomenal, but no art is good enough to justify the racism that the two artists displayed.

Got my sons footprint done there 5yrs ago it still looks awesome. Got my daughters foot done 2years ago an it looks terrible. Its so faded already the older tattoo looks better then the newer. An i had my kids names put above their feet an its sooo scratchy. Ill be going to wonderland from now on.

I walked in Big Top praying someone can fix the koi fish on my arm since it’s super faded and even embarrassed to show it off. Mark checked it out and I set up an appointment just to get started and just one 2 hour sesh made a complete difference. He started on the inside of my arm yesterday and I’ve never been so happy with how everything is coming along and I’ll only go to him for ANY of my tattoos for the rest of my life. Don’t sleep on this place💪🏼

Loaf does detailed and high-quality work. He did my family crest recently, and suggested some changes to it that I hadnt thought of to make it even better. I couldn’t recommend him and this place more.Professional, fun and friendly.

Garth did both of my tattoos a few years ago. He did an excellent job on my foot. I went back a few months later for a coverup on my wrist. It turned out terrible! I regret the coverup more than the original. I recently went to a different artist that added highlights and shading because what was done didnt even cover the original. Gave 2 stars only because of the work that was done on my foot.

This place is really a fun environment to be in, with friendly, talented artists. I got a tattoo here today, and it came out MUCH better then i had expected. My appointment was with Mark Heggie, the price was very fair, and very well designed.

Do NOT listen to the moronic individuals who gave this place a one star review. Even though I only had touch-up work done on a piece I got many years ago, the quality and precision of the process brought it back to life! Big Top is the place to go, and I for sure plan on being a regular.

I’ve been trying to make an appointment for my touch up with Tessa and no response. I called the shop two weeks ago as soon as they opened at 12 left her message, because she was with a client . Heard nothing, texted her after Halloween and nothing again. Being in the business world as well , it’s unprofessional not to reply. Anyone could’ve called me back from the shop to setup up something. Lesson learned! I didn’t mind even if I had to pay outta of pocket again, why I made an appointment else where.

I went in with my father to get a tattoo and my father consented and and mother and it meant a lot to me and the person there (don’t know the name but he was male) told us I couldn’t get it because HE didn’t think it was a good idea yet he isn’t my legal guardian and although he wasn’t rude I found it unprofessional and ridiculous

Guy with glasses was very very rude i will never go back there went in to get pricings and i had a tattoo with aquafor and told me to take it off thats nasty and i put my arm on the table while my wrist wasnt even touching and told me to take my arm off i dont recomend this place unless you want rude people
