Cant say enough about our experience here! Its very clean and has a great atmosphere. We were in from out of town and they were extremely accommodating from start to finish. Aaron helped us get set up as walk-ins and was so fun and helpful throughout our time there. Zach was my artist and he absolutely killed the tree design I had in my head. He helped me with placement and was overall just a cool guy. Great shop!

Had my industrial done by their piercing artists Rachel who did a fantastic job and made it a great experience! She was super nice and explained each step of the process in a way that made me feel comfortable since I was a little nervous about the pain. I highly recommend seeing her as well as supporting everyone at Hopeless Tattoo!

Me and my husband got our first tattoo’s here after quite a bit of searching for a high quality tattoo parlor and let me tell you, you don’t need to search any further! Our experience here and the quality of the job done has more than exceeded our expectations! Cortney was our artist and she did a phenomenal job! She made sure we were 100% satisfied and we couldn’t be happier with the results. Highly recommend, will be back again in the future.

I recently got my first tattoo at Hopeless, and Im really glad I picked them. The shop was super welcoming, patient, confident, and above all, CLEAN.We made the trip from Texas, and it was totally worth it. Prior to coming to this shop, I had never been tattooed and researched many shops before taking the plunge. Boy oh boy am I glad I found Hopeless Tattoo.Since I first started coming to the shop in 2022, Matt has been my artist throughout. His attention to detail & borderline obsession with making every line perfect has left me with a dope sleeve of Batman villains on my left arm and hes almost finished covering my entire left leg in various warriors. Matt is the only artist who has used me as a canvas, but throughout my appointments Ive seen what the other artists are capable of and its truly incredible.I recommend this shop to everyone who asks where I get my artwork done and am upset it took me so long to write a review for others to see. Whether you want some line work on your forearm or an entire back piece, I cant recommend this shop enough. Rachel is the BEST piercer around :)!!I cannot stress enough that you will be in good hands if you see her. Every time I get something done she takes her time to make sure I get the perfect layout, consulting me throughout and using her perfectionism; So easy to talk with her and adjust placements or adress concerns if I want to. If you want something done, go to her !! Shes an expert and a genuine soul, she cares a lot about her work and goes above n beyond :).Austin has also been amazing and a great piercer. I went and saw Zach for a walk in tattoo! I ended up getting a tattoo I had wanted for years and he did it exactly how I had been imagining it! Super friendly and incredibly talented! He does an amazing job with colored tattoos! Thank you Zach!

BEST SHOP IN VANCOUVER, hands down. Zach Thompson is a wizard with that tattoo gun and was able to pull exactly what I wanted from my brain like he lived there. Everybody in the shop was super sweet, the vibes are 10/10 and the tattoos are even better. Thank you a million times over for such a wonderful experience!!

I have gotten one tattoo here and it turned out great, although the artist is no longer here. My husband on the other hand goes to Matt and refuses to go anywhere else for his black work. The atmosphere here is great and the staff is friendly. Plus their gear is dope ha.. check this place out if you only want the best! I am def looking for my next artist here!

Rachel pierced my earrings about a year ago in January. It was my first experience getting pierced and will happily go again for my other ear this one in the photo fully heals. I still see Rachel to do a major clean or check up on the piercings to see if they are healing well. Rachel is such an amazing piercer and person by taking wonderful care of her clients and the people around her!

I recently came in and got a piece done by Ava and had such a great experience. The artwork was beautiful and the atmosphere was very welcoming and everyone seemed so friendly. i’ll definitely be going back to get some more done soon and suggest you do too!!

Courtney Main has been working on my full sleeve for about 6 months now. Every tattoo I have just given her same basic idea and her designs have surpassed my expectations every time. Then the actual tattooing is top notch and I have zero issues with healing.The most recent (octopus) Courtney free hand drew it on my arm and it is perfect - such talent. One more session to do the shading on the octopus.I will not hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for a great and talented artist.

I have been going to Hopeless for about 2 years now and referred countless friends and family, we have all had nothing but great experiences with both Courtney Main and Rachel the piercer. I refuse to go anywhere else for any piercings, Rachel nails it every time! love this shop and their staff!

I love the folks at this shop. They are a key part of the Downtown community and I want to say that Aaron and Rachel are the total dream team for piercings. Aaron, what can I say. He gives every customer who walks in the warmest welcome. His smile is contagious and also does most of the amazing photos of Rachel at work that you see in these reviews. Rachel did my double nostrils last week and made me feel like I was part of their shop. That I belonged. This is not something that is easily achieved when working in customer service, but Hopeless Tattoo does with ease. Would recommend!!

Hopeless Tattoo is my favorite shop now. First off, they are top notch artists. The shop is very sanitary which is important to me. The atmosphere is fun and Aaron who works the front desk made me feel like I was visiting a good friend. Very welcoming and nobody acts stuck up.Robbie Luders is my artist. I was first tattooed by Robbie at Super Genius Tattoo in Seattle. After I moved to Vancouver I was happy to learn that Robbie was now working at Hopeless Tattoo and so I made an appointment. Robbie is a top notch artist, and his prices are fair.I’m planning on getting more ink done in the Fall, and I will only be getting tattoos at Hopeless now. Thanks for the great tattoo and for making it a fun experience!

Yesterday was my first time visiting Hopeless Ink and it didnt go as planned as my original artist was unable to be there. The actions and professionalism of the shop owner, Travis was very impressive. I was grateful to have Brandon step up and offer to take over my appointment. Brandon was kind and talented and I love my new tattoo. The shop is bright and clean with a great energy. I will be sharing my great experience and gladly be back again.

Had an amazing experience here! Ended up knowing the guy answering the phones, Aaron, from our hometown in Hawaii! They fit me in last minute spur of the moment kind of thing! Aaron is extremely personable & will go above & beyond to make sure u get what u want even if that means getting u in at a different tattoo shop! Brandon, my tattoo artist, was very friendly & thoughtful always asking if i was doing ok or if i needed a break & has a light hand, which helps when getting a tattoo on a sensitive spot. Extremely clean & very friendly & professional! I will be going back!

I totally enjoyed John the tattoo artist. I came in to refresh my original tattoo and left with a bigger, better one. The employees were very nice and the place was very clean.

I love going to Hopeless Ink, everyone in the shop makes you feel so welcomed and comfortable! Rachel the piercer is the best!!! I have gone to her for multiple piercings now. Knowledgeable, friendly welcoming and funny. She’s very attentive to your needs and will work with you to get you exactly what you want. I would absolutely reccomend her to anyone in the area!

This is a late review... FAfter a long pause due to covid and admin errors i finally tattooed my fingers here. 1 blew out, tis the risk of finger art. I arrive for my touch up appointment on time to see my artist taking a walk in. So I wait over a hour for my appointment to even get the ball rolling.

I had the best experience with Lady Rae. She took my inspiration pics, heard my “why” and beautifully created a work of art that I am proud to be the canvas for. She made me feel extremely comfortable (I haven’t been tattooed in 20 years) and was extremely friendly and professional throughout the entire process. I’m new to the area and wanted to get some tattoo work done, I searched almost all the shops around. I don’t know exactly what drew me to Hopeless the most, but when I went in for my consultation with Landrus ; immediately I knew that this was where I was gonna go for my tattoos. The lobby was busy when I went in that day, but each artist stopped to say hello and genuinely made everyone feel welcome. I changed my idea for my session, Landrus was so understanding and supportive. She is so sweet and down to earth and her work is amazing! You can’t go wrong with any of the artists, their work is all so amazing and they’re all very creative and cool individuals. Highly recommend them for your tattoo and piercing needs!

Hopeless is fantastic! I’ve been getting tattooed by Matt for almost 10 years now and his work never fails to amaze me. The detail is incredible and he always has the best ideas to help me complete each piece.

I want to start of we found this shop because my sons shop of choice was over booked. Now saying this we probably wouldnt go anywhere else for our piercings again. The staff was super friendly apon arrival. They had no issues letting my son and I have back to back appointments to get pierced. He got his lip done with spider bite and I got my nose done. Rachel was super awesome! She was very professional and friendly! She made sure we were conformable as we could be and did a great job on both piercings. I hadnt gotten a piercing in almost 14 years so she talked me me thru it all as well and made sure i wa ready. She made sure we knew all the needed knowledge for after care and downsizing. Gave us her card for if we had questions or concerns after. We had a great experience and highly recommend coming here.

I recently got two tattoos on my upper right arm at Hopeless Ink from Beau using the American Classic style. They did a great job preparing the stencils, choosing the colors, and matching tattoo proportionality with my body. Beau was easy to talk to and could explain the ins and outs of the entire process and were flexible with on the fly changes. The tattoos are nicely outlined and compliment each other in design and color scheme. The total cost was around $900 and well worth it. I plan to return to work on another project with Beau!Since the last session, weve added two other pieces: a cocktail glass with some classic garnishes, and a black panther fighting with a snake. Both pieces are a great addition to the other tattoos and will blend nicely with the final look. I am excited for our upcoming collaboration on more classic designs! Thanks again, Beau!

I met the co-owner of this shop when she came into my workplace to buy some meat. After a brief chat, and eventual net search I emailed them with photos of my tattoo idea. The artist that I worked with Brandon, brought my ideas to life in the BEST way ever! I was for sure sold on his work after browsing his IG, and his work is succinctly captured on my arm.The staff here doesnt make you feel uncomfortable, their music selection is great and listening to the conversations while getting inked gives you the best sense of cohesiveness anywhere! The shop is kept up to high standards of cleanliness, and their aftercare briefing is informative for newbies, or those adding on.15/10 would get inked here again.

Matthew aka Mr. Nobody did an amazing job on my tattoo, not only that but he’s really easy to get along with. He really makes sure his clients are happy!

So our 17 yr old daughter expressed a desire to get a nose piercing. I was confident her dad would be on the same page (which was a no) but I was wrong. We located this place just a block from our favorite brunch restaurant and had really good reviews. We didn’t get a piercing that day because we didn’t have an “apt” and just walked in. It was recommended that we make one when we got back from our camp trips that had “lake activities” since it’s recommended not to go into lakes when freshly piercers. We called but was told it was a “first come” bases on Saturday and so we figured that would be the same for Sunday’s. Well that wasn’t the case and we had to wait almost an hour & a half but it was totally worth it. Austin was amazing and showed such care & attention to detail with our daughter. He took the time to explain everything and devoted as much time as she needed (why we had to wait so long because there was a girl (probably a little younger than my daughter) getting her ears pierced for the first time)). I was hesitant to watch but I actually did - even recording a little of the event for my daughter. I would highly recommend Austin do any piercings that are desired.

100/5 stars!! I wanted my first ever tattoo and did tons of research into the best place in Vancouver WA and saw lots about this place and decided to go for it. Chris Graham did an AMAZING job and made me feel very comfortable and taken care of since I was a little nervous about getting my first tattoo. all the other employees there were very kind to me as well. atmosphere is great and my tattoo came out so wonderful! I cannot recommend this place (and especially Chris!) enough! I will definitely be returning when I want my next tattoo :)

Austin was super great with the teens I took in for piercings today. Extremely professional job, attentive, unrushed, and sterile was always a priority through every step. VERY High quality services. Really appreciated the medical grade metals used in the jewelry as well. I love that they schedule a follow up to ensure the health of your piercing. The shop was superbly clean and everyone was friendly and helpful. No wonder they win Clark Countys studio of the year...every year.

John did a fantastic job! The time and detail that he put into this blew me away. I have not gotten a tattoo in 19 years and the whole experience with this place was great.

Got an absolutely gorgeous bird/flower tattoo from Zach Thompson here at Hopeless! Definitely worth the wait— the colors are vibrant and full, and the line work is clean and tidy. 2 months healed and I’m so happy with the results! The vibe in the shop is so wonderful and everyone is very kind. It was a pleasure talking to the artists and working with them! Great prices for quality tattoos and a lovely experience. 10/10 recommend.

Courtney Main has executed all my tattoos and has done beautifully! Between the art work and the application I have been blown away so many times. I just took my nephew to get his ears pierced for his 16th birthday. Rachel is AMAZING! He was nervous, but she talked him through the entire process and was so sweet with him. She even let my 6 year old, who is thinking about getting her ears pierced soon, watch and be involved! I would recommend hopeless tattoo and piercing to anyone looking to get pierced, Rachel is awesome!Ps. His mom went as well to provide proper ID, but since it was my present to him I got to go behind the scenes and see the process.

05.21.22:I turned 18 a few days ago and scheduled an appointment for my septum. I was booked with Austin and he was so wonderful. He was very professional and pretty straightforward whilst explaining the process, but still very warm. He’s a silly guy, if you will.. and we had many laughs throughout the appointment which eased the anxiety of me getting my first facial piercing. I really enjoyed his precense, and my boyfriend (who accompanied me) had positive things to say as well!Now that I’ve been pierced by Rachel and Austin; I can assure that both artists will give you a wonderful experience and booking here is a great choice. I’m very excited to come back.

My friend and I came in for walk-in piercings, highly recommend making an appointment, they are usually pretty busy! We each got two piercings in our ears and Rachel was amazing, she let us choose the music playlist, she took her time, she was fun, and also professional. We just left Hopeless Ink after having our 8 year old daughter’s ears pierced. I seriously can’t say enough good things. From the moment we entered the staff was so kind and took the time to talk to my nervous daughter and help her feel more at ease. And then Rachel…. Oh man I just can’t explain how amazing she is at what she does. Technically she is an expert piercer, but SO much more than that she’s an amazing person. She was SO patient and SO kind, she took a ton of time explaining things and making sure my daughter was comfortable and understood everything that was happening. It was flawless. The shop is clean and inviting. I don’t have a bad word to say. Thank you Hopeless Ink, we will DEFINITELY be back!!

I want to let people know be careful who you get a tattoo from here. I was tattooed by Court Landrus, and she scared me and her lines are all blowout’s!!!! She charged me $200 an hour tattooed me for 3 1/2 hours $700 not including the $100 down payment. So for $800 dollars I have a tattoo from her i’m so embarrassed to even show off to anybody she messed my leg up so bad. I had made appointments with her to do four sessions but after my first tattoo I texted her to let her know my tattoo looked horrible!! She wanted me to come back said it was as my skin.. I have so many tattoos and this has never happened. I declined going back to her I don’t feel she knows what she’s doing to go back to her. So now I have a horrible tattoo that cost me $800 dollars. I had tried for a month to get another tattoo from this shop to help fix my tattoo but no one will get back to me so I want to let people know!!

Zach was great! It was my mom’s first tattoo and he made her feel very comfortable. He was relaxed, funny and was able to provide distractions during the session. Zach was also a fast worker while providing a beautiful tattoo for each of us. Wonderful experience:)

Austin is very professional, open, and clean. He explained each step of the piercing and made sure that I knew I was in control. Austin made sure that I was comfortable with each step and always asked for permission before initiating contact. Matt is the best in the game. His talent level for doing realism black and white tattoos is flawless. He makes getting a tattoo extremely easy, is very creative, punctual and easy to work with. I look forward to working with him in the future.

Me and my sister went in the other day to get piercings together done by Rachel. Her personality is super inviting - you dont just feel like a client. She made sure we were happy through the whole process and was super informative about it and any other questions we had. I was an exceptionally big wuss, so she kept checking in with me before and during to help calm my nerves. Will recommend Rachel and this establishment to others.

I came in as a walk-in, new to Vancouver, in search of a possible new artist, I always go with something small and simple to get a read, vibe and connection for my artist and their work-with lots of previous tat work all over me from my old artist over 5+ years old. As a walk in, met Court Landrus after talking with her at the counter- showed a simple stencil-After done, told it was $200.The following are photos I took there and now.I have ink that fell out and scars all over. Having previous work done over the years, I’ve never had scarring or healing at all, and know how to take care of tats aftercare-I was in touch with her on instagram, not an actual phone number-which is super unprofessional, it was just a simple flash piece and absolutely not $200 for the size and I know the industry. I messaged her during the healing and sent her pictures of it with concern telling her it didn’t look to be healing as it should- she said it looked fine and if there was issue after it set then would do touch up. Are you serious?So I attempted to call last weekend- September 11, 2022, the fella who answered the phone told me she wasn’t in and so he then asked if I reached out to her via email, and I said no. I asked if the manager was in and he said no. He told me I could come in and talk to him. But, HE NEVER GAVE ME LANDRUS’S NUMBER, OR EMAIL OR ANY OTHER CONTACT.I’m letting the whole town know and because I have alot of work done all over me will always let people know about Hopeless.

Love this shop! Everyone here is super friendly and super professional. Aaron up front is one of the most genuine and sincere guys I know, and Zach is by far one of the best full color artists Ive ever come across not to mention the sweetest and most humble guy ever. Its nice to feel safe and welcomed in an environment in which many people could feel very vulnerable. Highly recommend this shop and their artists.

My artist is Courtney main and she is the absolute best I love her so much she has done all four of my tattoos so far and I love each and every one of them. Every time that I have an idea she works with me to make it even better and make my vision of my tattoo become something that I can wear proudly and show off all of the time. I would give Courtney a thousand stars if I could because she is just the best. The whole shop everyone is so incredibly nice and kind and always helpful. Everyone is so positive and makes you feel at home. They feel like such a huge part of the community and it’s always nice to hear about people who love the shop and want to go back. I know that I will be going back for the rest of ever because of how amazing it all is.

Ive gotten several piercings done here, and have really liked all of them. The piercer, Rachel, is always welcoming and a fun personality to be around! She explains well each procedure and aftercare process, and has instructed me on how to better treat some of my older piercings.

I’ve had my septum and philtrum/Medusa done here and both times it’s been not only a perfect piercing but the people that work here really add to the experience. I’ve always felt so safe, accepted, and respected by all the people at this shop, and they also make sure you have a fun time when you’re getting anything done. You can really tell the workers at this shop are a fun bunch of people that really care for their craft as well as each other. I have yet to get a tattoo done by one of their artists, but many people I know have had tattoos done here and they have nothing but great things to say about this shop and great art work done to show for it. I’m hoping to go to one of their upcoming flash days and I’m definitely planning on getting a few more face and ear piercings here especially given how reasonable their jewelry and service prices are!

Went into the shop and got told all artist are busy but to send an email with what I’m looking to get plus reference photos. I did and got a quick response saying they forward my info to the artist and to be patient for a response. It’s been a month now and I haven’t heard not a word. I understand y’all are busy but I’ve never had to leave an email just to get ghosted. I’ve been to three different shops willing to take on the tattoo while I haven’t even got a response back from your shop at all. I’m not going to stop you from doing business the way you want it’s just not how I want to do business. Edit I got the portrait of my daughter and paid $1400 plus a $300 tip your loss.

I don’t know where to begin other than I’d give them 10 stars if I could. This mom will forever be grateful to Rachel the lady who pierced my teenagers ears. My girl wanted the industrial ear piercing… but by being experienced, smart and very aware she noticed veins that were in the way… my teenager was bummed but! we compromised and came up with another plan. Thank you for not just pushing thru, making it happen and actually helping us make the right decision. We’re over the moon with what she did decide and can’t wait to come back to get the right side ear done soon as well :) thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking care of us and being an amazing human.

Clean, colorful, tasteful and unique... every tattoo I get here is better than I imagine in my head. Im able to give him an idea, and he brings it to life... everytime!!! A few of my cousins had work done from other artist at Hopeless, and they all love their tattoos just as much as me. Great vibe, awesome music playing, friendly artists and amazing ink!!

Court Landrus @ Hopeless is one of the absolute best artists Ive come across. First and foremost, shes a fantastic tattoo artist. Line work is solid and shading is seamless. I have a few floral work pieces done by her and I get compliments on them almost every time Im out. Shes very thoughtful and helpful regarding tattoo ideas and placement as well as during actual appointments - checking in, offering breaks, and just all around cool. The vibe she puts off is great. Her pricing is super reasonable. I absolutely adore Landrus and see myself continuing getting work done by her until she retires tbh. Cannot recommend her enough.

Just went over to Hopeless and had Rachel check out 2 piercings that I had done in another state by another piercer. They were immensely informative & gave me honest, professional advice on how to help the piercings heal. Super knowledgable with their craft. The shop was clean and welcoming as well. Friendly staff & some badass art. When my body is ready for another piercing, Id happily make my way back to Hopeless to be pierced by Rachel :)

Unfortunately, they don’t have experience working on people with darker skin tones. One of the artists actually said to me: “…the problem with your skin is…” after I inquired about doing a cover up job. I felt ashamed and discouraged after leaving and I will never go back. Do better.

I went in for a cartilage piercing. They were very clean and professional and just plain nice and welcoming. I got thorough instructions for after care and an approximate date for return care. I would use them again.

I got a text tattoo on my wrist. I was bullied into a very thick line weight and font size because they warned me that any smaller and it would bleed. Ive since had a couple other fine line tattoos that are aging fine but my Hopeless one is a blurry mess, not even 4 years old. Maybe text or simple line work isnt their thing. Im currently looking at an expanded sleeve that envelopes this tattoo because it is not my fav.

I brought my daughter in for bilateral nostril piercings. Rachel did an amazing job. She let us know exactly what to expect with every step of the process. She opened all the packages and set everything up in front of us so we could see everything was sterile. She took the time to line them up perfectly and make sure my daughter was happy with placement before moving forward. The piercings look great are exactly what my daughter wanted.We’ll definitely be back to see Rachel again.

Aaron not only hooked me up with an awesome artist as a a walk in, the artist John put a lot of care into making sure it was lined up well, and that the recovery would go smooth as well. Everyone else was super welcoming and made the experience as comfortable as a tattoo can be!

Currently in the midst of getting my second large tattoo from Courtney Landrus at Hopeless Tattoo and I love the entire experience. It all started with an email and reference material and we set an appointment. Come tattoo day, she showed me the drawing which was gorgeous, and asked if there was anything I wanted to change. It was exactly what I had asked for (a raven), but I realized that I actually wanted it to have another head. I was nervous to tell her, but she was SO cool about it! She was totally on board with it and headed back to the drawing board. She started reworking it right away while my sister and I went thrift shopping at one of the many cute stores in the neighborhood. Court sent me plenty of updates while she was drawing and we texted back and forth about the new design. Because of the redrawing, my appointment ended up being rescheduled but she was able to get me in just one week later. I got my line work done today and it was a breeze and it looks RAD. I am so happy to work with an artist who is so careful, thoughtful, considerate, professional, and talented. Not only is Court wonderful, but the vibe in the shop is amazing: you can tell that the owner and other artists are like family to each other and really take pride in providing a high quality service in a clean, attractive space. If you dont have a tattoo from Hopeless yet, definitely check out their artists, submit the form and sit tight: the artists are in high demand for good reason and the art is worth the wait. ❤️

Im not one to post negative reviews but I feel this needs to be said. Matt Mr Nobody gave me one very bad tattoo. I did my research on Matt and he is capable of doing great tattoos but not this one. Arrived at 12p as his first client of the day. After sitting in the lobby for an hour (which he charged me) Matt applied the template which looked great. The template was 2 dimensional and was what I wanted. The tattoo was compiled with very specific items from the movie Gladiator that I provided by sending him pictures weeks in advance. The template was great. What I got was not great at all. Theres not a solid even line on it. The helm was poorly shaded leaving it flat looking. The sword is not the same sword on the template as Matt changed the tip which changed the specific sword i provided to him. The wording on the shield looks like an 8 year old wrote it. I messaged Matt a couple weeks later after it healed and he really couldnt care how i felt about it or even provided any touch ups. He then blocked me from contacting him. I kept the texts between us if anyone is considering Matts work. Ill provide two pictures. The template and what he put on me.

Multiple times during my stretching process I have had sudden stress injuries to my earlobes after they should have been “healed” already. Every time I have come in concerned Rachel has seen me on a moments notice and asked for nothing in return. I highly recommend this shop, they are attentive, clean, knowledgeable, generous, and concerned about their customers well being on a personal level.

I was nervous for my first tattoo in a few years. Court was very kind and made sure the design was perfect before she got to work. The shop had a friendly and laid back vibe. Ill be coming back here for all of my future tattoos and piercings.

I want to preface this with the fact that I travel for work and have been to many different tattoo shops all over the country. This shop is the best that I’ve been to. Great vibes, talented artists and a very clean shop. I walked in and spoke with an artist initially about getting a small spot filled on my leg. He eventually talked me out of it because he didn’t feel it would look the way I imagined. Then based off my style he asked another artist (Joshua) if he had time to do a tattoo for me instead. We talked planned on a simple dagger tattoo. Then that night I threw him a curve ball and asked for a big piece on the back of my calf. He accepted my reference and got started on the sketch that night. The next day I got there the sketch was EXACTLY what I was looking for. The tattoo turned out perfect (it’s actually my favorite that I have). During the session I spoke with a couple artists about various things and the owner of the shop bought me lunch. Overall I give this shop and absolute 10/10 and if I’m ever in Vancouver I will definitely be back.

Incredible experience from start to finish. Context: 4 dudes who want matching tattoos with no appointment. We called on Friday to see if we could come in same day but we were able to be seen on Saturday afternoon - all 4 of us. We were in and out in 2.5 hours and every minute of the experience was fantastic. The staff is fantastic and the artists are incredibly talented. The shop is clean and well kept and the prices are incredibly fair. I would highly recommend going for small or large pieces of ink. You will NOT be disappointed. Shouts out to the team - y’all are amazing.

Rachel Roy did a labret piercing on me today and also saved me from an issue I had with skin city in Tigard. Rachel went out of her way to help me with my jewelry issue from the other studio and then Rachel made me feel so relaxed I wanted to get a piercing from her. If I could give 10 stars I would! This studio is clean, gorgeous, caring and there for their clients! I would recommend Rachel any day for your piercings and this studio for tattoos. Don’t go to skin city in Tigard.

Rachel was absolutely the BEST!!! My daughters and I all came in to get our noses pierced. My one daughter wanted a septum and my other daughter and myself got our nostrils done. Rachel was so informative and calming to be around. We are generally anxious people but she put all of us at ease and I just can’t imagine us having a better experience anywhere else. I highly recommend her and she holds a special place in our hearts now that she was such an integral part of this memorable experience for us!!! Thank you Rachel!!!!

I had my nipple piercing done here and it was fantastic. The piercer Rachel was amazing. I highly recommend her. Firstly, she allowed my partner to be in there with me. Secondly, she asked if it was okay to touch me everytime and repeatedly asked if I had any questions. She thoroughly explained the process of the piercing, aftercare and warning signs. She even gave me a sheet with all the information and a free piercing aftercare kit. The piercing itself was fairly painless and a good experience. While I was also there, I asked her to look at my nose piercing I had done at a different facility and wasnt healing properly. She gave me great advice to reduce the swelling and some rough ideas on what was causing it. She even offered to change the jewelry and if the swelling didnt go down after a few weeks. So far, after a few days it is looking almost good as new. I highly recommend Rachel for any piercing you might get!

I received a tattoo from Zach Thompson yesterday afternoon. The tattoo was on my ribs and down my side. He made the experience exceptional! He continuously asked if I needed anything and how the pain levels were. The tattoo came out better than I could have imagined! We have gone here a few times for piercings and always have a great experience. Today, we went in because my husband’s nose ring had gotten stuck inside his nose. The piercer was busy and had an appointment waiting but in the meantime, one of the other employees gloved up to help. It took just a minute but provided some much needed relief. My siblings and I decided we wanted a spur of the moment bonding tattoo. We came without knowing what exactly we wanted (nightmare clients) however…. The owner and Josh took us in with true care and delight and took the time to choose something for us that was incredibly meaningful! Several of the artists here drew up options and then picked the best one. It felt so amazing to feel so cared about! They made it fun rather than being annoyed about our indecision. I have been coming to Hopeless Tattoo & Piercing for over 2 years now. I had Austin do my thirds & cartilage on my ears as well as my sisters lobes & he did an amazing job. He takes his time to make sure they are evenly lined up perfect. He will talk you through the whole process as well as make sure you are okay with the placement. VERY CLEAN & sanitary. I have sensitive ears & the surgical metal that is used in the jewelry here has yet to irritate my ears. Would 10/10 recommend!!

I honestly wish I could give a million stars!I came to Krista for my first tattoo and she was able to fit me in the same day. This lady is SO talented! The tattoo itself came out better than I expected. She was very thorough (which I appreciate) on what was going on and about the aftercare. She answered any questions I or my friend had without making me feel like an amateur. She is just so genuine.The shop itself is an open area where each artist have their own space and not crowded together at all. Its also a very clean and tidy environment. Everyone I encountered there were so nice and professional. You can tell that they love and take pride in what they do, and I respect that.Even though my tattoo was simple I actually feel like you would be missing out on something great if you went somewhere else.

Came to Hopeless for the first time as an attendee of an adult piercing party. Rachel the piercer is amazing and did such a beautiful job on all 7 of us. I got my nose pierced and the other girls got various ear piercings and a septum. Tons of cool jewelry to choose from, top notch, kind employees, and they even had special cupcakes for the bday girl with sensitivities! 10 stars! Will be back!

My sister and I came to get our ears re-pierced and Rachel was super super nice! She helped us pick which jewelry we wanted and let us know the pricing on it all! She also helped me decide what was the best thing to do with my ears since I still had my original hole. I came in back in April? If 2022 and was given the best experience with my tattoo. The tattoo is of a sensitive subject. I cant remember my artist name but I will never forget the service she provided and the care she took doing this tattoo. I also got my nose ring changed out and absolutely LOVE it to this day. I plan to come back to have it changed out again. You want to come to this shop, the environment and service here is spectacular and you wont be disappointed.

I had a tattoo done here by Courtney Landrus, and it was overall a fantastic experience. Courtney was very accommodating of my schedule, even redrawing the tattoo last minute when I asked. It was also very reassuring to watch her spend a solid 15 minutes or more sanitizing the work station and covering things in plastic, even going so far as to cover the over head lamp she used. And the image itself was perfect, and still retains its detail and beauty now months later. I am proud to wear a piece by this artist, and would absolutely recommend her and this shop to anyone seeking to get a tattoo.

I have sworn by this place for almost two years and that isn’t changing any time soon! Austin (the piercer) is unbelievably awesome.. always makes my appointments fun, and does amazing work. Has fixed a few “”piercings”” I’ve received at other shops in the past, and now I refuse to go anywhere else! Also worked with Zach, a tattoo artist, and his work is mind-boggling for only $150/hour. MORE than a fair price for the professionalism, quality, skill, and friendliness of the staff. This has been, and will continue to be, my go-to place.

Today, I got pierced by Rachel, it was my first piercing ever and it was great! I love this place! The front of the house is super sweet and welcoming and Rachel was fantastic, very professional but also friendly. I had a great time!

My daughter told me about Hopeless Tattoo and Piercing about 3 years ago when she got her first tattoo. Love the clean lines. So I went to them for two tragus piercings and a small wrist tattoo. Austin, and Rachel were very professional and almost painless piercers. And I love my tattoo that Krista did! Highly recommend them.

Loved this shop!! They were super nice and totally there for their people as they kept telling us. We came in as a group of three for two small tattoos each, and they got us in super quick and easy. They even were willing to stay late to get them all done. Highly recommend this shop!!

I have gotten 3 of my piercings done from Austin and they all have been amazing. He is so nice, makes the whole experience so much fun, and makes sure you know what is going on at all times. I got my ear lobes pierced for a second time the other day. This place is so clean and all the employees were very professional. Austin was awesome to work with. You can tell he takes pride in what he does and goes the extra mile to make sure you are comfortable. Everything turned out awesome. So glad I chose this place to get it done. One thing I will say (which is not the employees fault at all) I wanted earrings with my sons birth stone, and the ones I chose, I like, but the prongs holding the stone in are loose, so they get caught on EVERYTHING. Next time I will be sure to pick out earrings with no prongs so this is not an issue. My ears are still very sore 2 weeks later because of them getting caught on my pillow (with a plain cotton pillowcase almost every night.). So, just a heads up when making your selection on your new earrings. I would change them out in a heartbeat if I could. If you are looking for a place for a piercing in the Vancouver area, this is your place! AWESOME!

Took my 12 year old in for a helix piercing. Austin was amazing, very calming, thorough, and all around just wonderful with my child! I would definitely go here again, for myself or my kid. The shop strongly adheres to parental permissions, which I feel is a huge positive.

I took my daughter in to get her ears pierced and Austin was fantastic. The studio is very clean and inviting.My daughter was a little nervous but Austin did a great job of talking to her on her level, explaining everything and making sure she understood what was going to happen. He was very friendly and personable and my daughter really liked him.His was very conscientious of sterile technique (I’m a nurse that has worked in the OR) and was quick and efficient with the piercings.I am very happy with the whole experience!

I went in to get my septum pierced as I have been wanting for a very long time. I have had multiple other piercings and tattoos and never had such an amazing experience. Andrew was my piercer and he did an outstanding job. He kept the room light and fun, with this inspirational vibe. He was very thorough and talked me through the whole process while keeping me calm, cool, and collected. Afterwards I was feeling a little dizzy and he brought me apple juice and talked with me until I felt better. Absolutely amazing service and amazing humans! Thanks Andrew : )

Great experience for getting my first ever ear pierce. Austin the rad piercing guy made sure that the whole process was clean and comfortable. He really does put effort in making sure the tools are sterile and that I mentally ok with having a needle go through my ears. His character is great and funny so don’t feel too nervous if you ever want something pierced, you be in good hands.

Austin is the best! He is very professional, makes you feel comfortable and is available for any questions or concerns you might have. My piercing came out and he was very quick to fit me to his schedule to put it back in. My ears are very sensitive and he is the only one Ill go to for any piercings.

I love this shop. If you get a piercing get Austin! He makes you feel completely at ease, he is funny, and super good at what he does. I have gotten close to a dozen tattoos here and it has been a very positive experience every time. Most recently Landrus gave me a pair of gorgeous moths. She was a delight to work with and the end result is absolutely stunning. I also got a very cool and very colorful piece from Zach Thompson. He was able to take my wild and ill formed idea and bring it to life. I highly recommend this shop and these artists, you wont be disappointed.

Short version: Great! Clean, professional, friendly, with a good selection of jewelry!Long version: I took my daughter here to see Austin for her second ear piercings. Everyone at Hopeless was very friendly / approachable and made us feel right at home. Even though ear piercing shouldnt be THAT difficult, the first piercings she got (in a mall with a gun) were crooked, and we had to go back and have them done again - which was pretty traumatic for a 6 year old. So when she wanted her ears pierced again we insisted on seeing a professional. It was more expensive than going to the mall, but this is body modification thats supposed to last your whole life... so, worth spending a little extra to have it done right. Even though I felt a little sheepish about just getting a simple ears piercing, nobody made light of it. Austin was very easy-going and instantly made her feel at ease. He spent lots of time at the beginning explaining the whole process before we even began. Lots of sterilizing, lots of changing of gloves, and the whole facility was as clean as any hospital. After the first piercing he checked in with her to make sure she was ok and offered to pause or stop if she needed. At the end he took a lot of time making sure we understood what we had to do to facilitate fast & easy healing. He insisted that we call if we experienced any problems or questions after we left. Oh, and he had the music she requested too (the Beatles) :-)

I walked in with no appointment to get a fresh piercing removed for an MRI. Austin did me a huge favor and took care of it right away. Then he handled things again for me, once I returned a few hours later. He was great communicating with me, and took all measures for a clean and sterile process. He was as gentle as possible handling my piercing, which was done by someone else too far for me to go to. I really appreciate the great service and will definitely return for future work. I have just sashayed out of one of the best tattoo appointments of my life.And I am not shy to the tattoo world, as they say.I was just tattooed by Bryce, and I had an amazing experience!I made an appointment with him a week ago, told him about the design, and what I wanted.Bryce not only met my expectations, but also exceeded them.Here is how;1. He allowed me to reschedule my appointment for a time that would better work for me.2. He had the tattoo design I described to him ready as soon as I got there.3. He was funny.4. He explained how part of the ink in the tattoo could potentially bled together, but let me know he would use a smaller needle to better adapt to the adding of the design.5. They were incredibly nice, and friendly as always.Within these 5 reasons you will find that Bryce is the person you will want to tattoo you.Not only does Bryce (as well as Hopeless Tattoo shop) have my 5 star rating on google, but they also have a 5/5 star rating in my heart.

Our car broke down in front of their shop and within 5 minutes of watching us struggle to try and jump our car 2 employees came out to help! Not only were they kind, calm, and gave us good mechanic advice but most importantly got our car started again! Not only were they all around good people but they came to our rescue during a heat wave! I will 10000% be get tattooed here just for the people!

I can not rave enough about Krista! Our experience was amazing! We were visiting from out of town, wanted to get matching tattoos at the last minute 😬 Krista had availability to do both and Im so over the moon with her work! The atmosphere of the shop overall went above and beyond expectation and our time with Krista was truly enjoyed, let alone the amazing tattoos were walking away with. She is personal and professional and makes it such a positive experience! Her ability to understand and translate what you want into an actual tattoo is outstanding. Walk in yesterday to inquire about the daith piercing. Gage is so beyond fantastic! He helped us pick the proper jewelry for our piercing, skin and any allergies. While waiting for the jewelry to sterilize, Gage hung out with us, joked with us, shared deep thoughts with us which I thought was so cool! He pulled out the taro cards! He has a fun and caring personality, and is just all around unique in the most awesome of ways. This isnt my first piercing but my first with Gage. He does things very differently than other piercers. His style is unique and you immediately are treated like a good friend. I believe because of all that, is a big part of why a normally otherwise painful piercing, was not painful at all.Love ya Gage!! Ashley and I had a great time yesterday! Just finished my 4th tattoo with Zach Thompson. Such a professional! His skills are unmatched and his artwork speaks for itself. I live out of town and make the trip to the shop because I know Zach is the best in the biz. All the staff at hopeless are cool, the owner Travis is always warm and welcoming and the shop is always clean and organized. I cant wait for my next piece!

Zach Thompson, Gage, and Austin are all absolutely fantastic at what they do and their passion and dedication really shows through the work they do. Everyone Ive dealt with at Hopeless has been incredibly kind and pleasant, from phone calls, the front counter, and having actual work done. Couldnt be any happier with these guys and will continue to go to Hopeless for all my tattoo and piercing needs.

Just had second holes in my ears pierced by Austin last night. He was so great! He walked me through the whole process and always explained what he was about to do before he did it. He had a great sense of humor and really knows how to interact with nervous people to make them feel better. Also, the cleanliness I witnessed was top notch! He opened all the tools in front of me, made sure I was aware of every time he went to wash his hands, put new gloves on, or sterilize items. My sister-in-law was with me, who is a nurse, and she commended him on his process after it was all over. She said she was watching carefully the whole time, and the steps he took were perfect. Also, the piercing didnt hurt hardly at all, and there hasnt been any redness or inflammation yet. Really impressed with his work! I will be coming back to him for any future piercings!

I showed up with some inspirational images and a vision for a tattoo, and Travis helped me turn it into something much more nuanced, creative, and beautiful. Krista was able to do the work for me a couple of hours later.Overall, multiple people in the shop provided input and advice, and I feel very pleased with the genuine approach they all took.

I took my 8 year old daughter in to get her ears pierced on her birthday. Austin wet above and beyond and I will recommend this shop to anyone. From the moment we walked in he was courteous and respectful telling my daughter “if at any time you do not feel safe or comfortable you let me know and we can stop fix it” he understands how nervous a child can be and did a better job than myself and keeping her calm and excited about what was happening. I went and saw Austin for my nose piercing. He did an incredible job. Explained everything in detail including what he was doing prior to, during, and after the piercing. Great after care instructions. Very little pain. Very clean. I will definitely be back if I decide to get more piercings.

Austin and Danny are both amazing. Austin pierced my nose for me late last year and was there for all my jokes and joked with me to make me feel more comfortable. Danny also killed it when giving my tattoo, he was very chill and a down to earth guy. Everyone that works there is great and I 100% recommend going there to get some ink or piercings. Austin is the best piercer! I came to get my septum redone (I had a terrible experience with another place and the hole closed up) and he went slowly, explained everything, and made me feel at ease. The best part is how little it hurt! After it was done, I could barely feel it at all. From now on, Ill be getting all my piercings here.

My boyfriend and I both had our noses pierced by Austin the other day and had a great experience with him. He was very informative with every step - From helping us choose jewelry, explaining everything as he was piercing, to telling us about after care. We saw him sanitize everything and wear gloves. He has a room that can be made private if you need. Ive had my nose pierced before (with a gun) and this was a much better, less painful experience! Austin is also a cool guy to talk to with a calm demeanor and made us feel comfortable!Also, the shop has awesome jewelry for all sorts of body piercings/gauges! Really nice selection.

I’ve gotten both piercings and tattoos here in the past 4 years.In the past Talon, the previous piercing artist, redid my septum piercing, he did a great job and was able to educate me a little more regarding the piercing which was amazing.I got both nostrils pierced by Gage and he did a magnificent job. He also fixed my daith piercing that was irritated and done at a different shopHe’s extremely experienced and doesn’t make you feel silly for asking questions. The jewlery quality is also top notch and beautiful.Zach Thompson did my first large tattoo as well as finishing another tattoo for me. Zach took the time to talk to me and design my first large tattoo. His design for my tattoo has made me feel really confident and love myself more.Bryce did a great job on my foot tattoo, very steady hand and a great shading job. I really like how it turned out and how Bryce made it come to life.

This is a great tattoo shop! Zak Anderson did an amazing job bringing to life a tattoo my mom and I wanted. Zak was honest with us about what would work, look good, and also depict what we wanted. Overall amazing experience too, getting inner bicep tattoos are really painful, but Zak was always willing to take breaks and work with us.Also this is the cleanest tattoo shop I have ever been in. They are all really great guys!

Ive had a larger piece done by Kyle as well as script done by Matt and I couldnt be happier! Everyone is extremely professional and helpful. Talon is the piercer here and did an excellent job at making me feel comfortable before getting my nipples pierced as well as making the experience as quick and painless as possible. Austin, from Pendulum Piercing, is so legit. Went there a couple days ago. The work he does is cool but how he does it it even better. I was obviously super nervous about getting my ears re-pierced (horrible first time), but thankfully he was really personable, relatable, understanding, and patient. Thorough and explained his process too, enough that mattered. He’ll actually truly listen to you and your needs, and not just to get the job done. So I highly recommend him.

I just got a double helix yesterday and I have to say the entire experience was awesome. From the moment I walked through the door, everyone I spoke to was kind and upbeat. The atmosphere is very clean and comfortable and when it came to getting my ear pierced (it was my first time) Austin was an absolute professional. He let me pick my jewelry, opened all the sterile packages in front of me, and talked me through the process. I was very nervous when I walked in that door but by the time I was lying on the table with the needle poised on my ear, he had erased all my doubts and fears. Austins kindness and humor far exceeded my expectations and I look forward to visiting again when I get my jewelry changed.

This was by far the best piercing experience I’ve ever had! The environment is calm and cool in the shop and everyone is very welcoming. They explained every step in the process super thoroughly, explaining the how and why of everything that was being done and made the experience really personable and fun! This is the only place I’ll get pierced and recommend in Vancouver!!
