I recently got an American flag tattoo on my arm by Drew at Double Diamond Tattoo, and I couldn’t be happier with the result. Drew was professional, attentive to detail, and really brought my vision to life. The lines are clean, the colors are vibrant, and the entire experience was comfortable and stress-free. I have worked with Will on two chest tattoos. Both are grey scale with intricate line work and shading. Both turned out better than I could ever have expected. He was awesome to work with and I will definitely be getting more work done with him.I also had a small tattoo done with Rachel (apprentice). She was awesome as well. She took my request and had ideas of her own when I came to the shop.All in all, this shop is outstanding. The entire experience from consultation to aftercare instructions was thorough and geared toward making sure I was happy. The wait time from consultation to my first session was a couple months, which is to be expected for quality work. If you’re looking for high end tattooing with a great atmosphere, Double Diamond is the spot.

I got a flower bouquet done by Rachel. The lines are done extremely thick and dark, the stems look like roots and from a couple feet away they are so thick it forms one massive thick line. Everything is so dark you can barely make out the flowers apart and even 4-6 petals are blacked out fully. In an attempt to fix it I have had other artists tell me how she used the wrong size needle, and she did not listen to me when I told her to use as minimal shading as possible. The stencil didnt look bad to me, but after it was done I see how to bouquet itself looks very rectangular and all smooshed together. She was also not very welcoming, I asked her to move the stencil up and she mumbled something and changed it. Making clients feel welcome and comfortable when speaking up is very important. If she thought she couldnt achieve what my reference picture was like, it would have been best to not take my appointment. Besides all this, the shop itself is really nice and the owner is welcoming. The other artists seemed awesome and even overheard them making jokes and laughing with their clients. I thought it would be cheaper to go to an apprentice and help them gain experience since that is the only way they can get better, but from now on I will be only going to residential artists.

This shop is THE BEST. They go above and beyond to ensure you find time to get in, and most importantly, leave with exactly what you want. Drew, the owner of this shop is an incredible artist. He has always taken my ideas and spun straw into gold. All of the talented artists have a clean workspace and create beautiful artwork. You feel at home when you’re here. After coming here I will never go anywhere else!

I’ve gotten 2 tattoos here- both done by Drew. The first was an on-the-spot decision as I waited for my daughter to get hers done (by Mike) and the second was a quickly scheduled appointment since Drew had a cancellation. His line work is impeccable. I love both of my DD tattoos!

I am overly pleased with the experience at Double Deez. Will is an incredible artist! During the consultation, I came in with a very vague idea of what I wanted. Will blew me away with his ability to work in my ideas to make a great tattoo. I left the consult a little scared knowing I won’t see the finished design until the day of my appointment. Flash forward to appointment day, Will came out and showed me the design - I was floored. Amazing. Will was so awesome for the duration of the session (which ended up being about 9 hours with some breaks 😰). He checked in with how I was doing throughout the session, he had a great attitude, we had some great conversations, and let me pick movies to watch! He even shared some pizza with me after working for about 6 hours! 🥹 Will was determined to get the whole tattoo done in one session, but did not rush through or jeopardize his work. When we were all done, Will was very informative on the aftercare of the tattoo and shared the excitement I had for his work. Sorry for the novel of a review but I am just so pleased with Will’s work and the whole experience. I will definitely be back!!

My experience with this shop was an excellent one. Was going through a divorce and my artist John Black did an amazing cover up for me. A portrait of my mother when she was a young girl from a very old photo booth picture from back in the 40s. This turned out exactly like the photo and to this day, I still get compliments on it. Double Diamonds is a great place to go with an exceptional group of artists!!

Drew has done thousands of dollars worth of art for me.It’s been years since the first and they hold up better than any other artist.Shop is always a good vibe. Will did my tattoo. He is an incredible artist! His design was absolutely beautiful. The colors are stunning. He is very gentle and light handed. He takes his time and makes sure the tattoo is perfection. I love the work he did on me. Highly recommend!!

I put a 250 dollar deposit down in 2019 for my first tattoo. The state shut everything down for covid a week before my appointment and I was unable to get my tattoo. The shop never refunded my money. I would understand if I didn’t show up but it was out of my control. Tried to explain this to them before but they didn’t care.

Completely blown away does not do justice to how awesome my first tattoo is! Drew did an amazing job and knocked this out in one session. I’m totally thrilled. Not only did he stay true to the design concept and specifics I wanted, but the details and artistic spin he added just put it over the top. Every time I look at it, I just grin. Super clean shop. I can’t say enough about the experience I had at Double Deez. I spent hours upon hours researching shops in southeast PA, Philly, Delaware etc and decided to go with Double Deez because of the realism and quality in their work. I chose Jason Nicholson because of his work with the military and the detail he put into his tattoos. Jason took my ideas and did an awesome job of explaining the strong points and drawbacks to what I had in mind. In the end - I trusted his viewpoints as the artist and I am incredibly happy that I did. The tattoo looks amazing, is incredibly realistic and I couldn’t be more satisfied. On top of all that, this was my first tattoo and the experience itself was awesome. Both Jason and Mike were a lot of fun to be around which calmed my nerves about getting the work done. It was definitely a chill atmosphere and the shop was always very clean. I highly recommend Double Deez and will be back for sure.

For my 25th wedding anniversary I decided to get a tattoo as my wifes gift. It is a heart and infinity sign with our initials. I worked with Mike who was great. The tattoo came out great, wife loves it. I highly recommend them, everyone I talked to to was great. Place was clean and setup really well. He made sure he went over care instructions with me since this was my first tattoo. From what I could see, these guys are really talented! Some spectacular artwork.

Ive been going to Double Deez for years and have enjoyed my experience every time. The talent from every artist working there is second to none. By far the cleanest and most profession tattoo shop I have ever been in. If your going to get a tattoo on you for the rest of your life you better choose the best place to do it. This is the BEST in Chester Co. area! You wont be disappointed. From a small tattoo, or full sleeve, even piercings they do every job professionally and with 150% of their abilities.

So welcoming and very clean. They made me feel so comfortable. I had a very simple tattoo but they treated me like I was just as important as a customer having something very detailed done. I was in and out in less than an hour.

I have now gotten work done at every shop in the borough of west chester, and beyond just being the nicest team of people, they were by far the most professional and had the nicest space/equipment. I dont want to compare artists, especially because I came in with my own illustrations anyway so I wouldnt know who was better, but the work hanging around the store is beautiful. I had a great experience here, and felt taken care of!

Got my first tattoo at Double Deez this past weekend. The shop is very clean, very comfortable, and Jason did a great job both on the tattoo and the easing of my nerves going into it. Walked in looking for info about getting my first tattoo. Drew was sitting in there and inquired about what I was going for. He gave me some suggestions as an artist and It got me really excited to work with him. During the consultation, he showed me his design, and we tweaked it a little to my specifications. During the tattoo procedure, we talked a lot about common interests while a movie played. The two hour process went by quickly and fairly painlessly. If youre looking to get some art done, this is the place to have it done in West Chester.

This place is amazing! Everyone was so kind, helpful, and engaging during the whole process of my first tattoo. Every step was explained to me and the atmosphere the whole time was light and accomodating. Prices are ridiculously reasonable too. I would totally recommend!

Arrived at 3:30 for my 3:30 consultation appt. Was told Ryan was tattooing someone and would step out at a free moment. Thought ok, Ill wait, no big deal. While waiting, I was reminded that leadtime for the tattoo is over a year, and Id need to leave a down payment today. Ok, not ideal but I get it, no problem.40 minutes later, no sign of Ryan and now Im risking missing dinner plans. I mention to the lady at the desk that Ive run out of time, and she goes to the back and Ryan comes out a minute later.I couldnt rely on the guy to follow through with the consultation, so Im certainly not leaving a down payment and waiting a year.Im not mad, just disappointed.

First of all I got my first tattoo done there six years ago by drew, best experience ever for a first timer. I have brought friends and family in and they too were all very impressed. I have seen nothing but professionalism and amazing customer service. Ive been to the other tattoo shops in the borough and around the area, but nowhere else keeps me coming back

It started with my son who got an amazing dragon on his arm, Jason spent 8-9 hours meticulously creating the art. It turned into an obsession for him and within a year my son has 9. Soon Jason will add to the dragon 🐉 and create a masterpiece.
