Sheila was awesome and it was so quick and easy! Super clean environment. Sheila was very clear on letting me know when things were happening and making sure I liked what she was doing (ex placement of earrings, earring choices). I highly recommend! This is my second time getting a piercing from here and both experiences were great! Also, the price is so good! Second lobe $40 total for both ears.

Sheila reopened a piercing that had closed. She was super open and friendly, explained what she was doing, and the re-opening was very quick. Clear aftercare instructions. Recommend her!

The experience was good; the piercings were sanitary and well explained. However the pricing was NOT TRANSPARENT AT ALL. I called to ask the pricing and was quoted one price and then charged something else completely. In addition there were no ability to take credit cards despite on this listing it being possible and sent me next door to an ATM they likely get a kickback on. Again the experience was good but the pricing and paying left a very sour taste- I would not recommend it.

Terrible place, they sold a nose piercing to my daughter, that was used, they gave it to her from hand to hand, not sanitized at all, not even in a bag, Sheila is not professional at all. I will never go back to this place. please watch out!

My son’s father & I both got our son’s name tattooed for his birthday and we are thrilled with the outcome! Mine was a finger tattoo by Richard which none of the artists recommended for obvious reasons, but it came out absolutely PERFECT. I am so happy I went with a fine line tattoo artist as I’ve had bad tattoos done in the past. This is by far my favorite tattoo and we will both be coming here for the rest of ours! Highly highly recommend (Pito is excellent as well!!)

I went to Big Joe and Sons because I wanted to get 2x forward helix piercings. Sheila was the person who pierced me and she was the absolute best. She explained everything to me in detail and how to care for it. When it was time she downsized my earrings for me 1,2,3. If I had questions she was always a text or phone call away. Since getting the 2 forward helix’s I’ve been back to get a conch piercing. I wouldn’t dream of going to anyone else for my piercings she is the absolute best!!! So if you’re thinking of getting pierced don’t hesitate to see her!!!

Just got 2 tattoos from here by Al! THE BEST OF THE BEST!! If you’re thinking of coming here and haven’t made an appointment, BOOK the appointment!! Ask for Al, he doesn’t disappoint and did it the way I wanted. I was looking for months for a new tattoo artist and I found this place and came out happy with the way it looks. It also came out cheaper than what other places were charging me.

I scheduled an appointment a week in advance and sent inspiration pictures for what I wanted. We went in, and the people were very dismissive towards us, made us wait over an hour, and then the guy took 5 minutes to stencil the inspiration pics which we were unhappy with and the artist did not except feedback well. Do not recommend this place.

Got a piercing from Jessica today and she was great! I was nervous but she was knowledgeable, friendly and made me feel so comfortable. I didnt feel a thing. If you want a piercing shes the one to go to. Thanks Jessica! I love my new piercing!

If you want a perfectionist...ask for Joey (the son). Hes absolutely amazing and very meticulous when doing your tattoo. He takes him time no matter how many people are waiting. I highly recommend this tattoo shop!

Just got my nose pierced here and I cannot say enough about Jess! She was phenomenal from start to finish! Before she started, she explained everything that would happen. While she was piercing my nose, she talked me through it and it was over so quickly, the pain barely lasted! Joseph is rude as hell Im surprised he still has a job here. Nasty disgusting attitude will NEVER come back here. I had a 1,500 dollar tattoo I was going to get here but then left because his attitude reeked. Thank you Joseph for that I found a better & cheaper tattoo artist with better work & a great attitude. Never coming here again. Joseph is very rude. Whole time he was working with me he was making it seem as if my present was bothering him. All I simply asked for was a small name hand tattoo on my hand. I was waiting in there about 10 minutes and Joseph was there the whole time and didn’t say nothing to me, but a young lady who was nice did notice me and asked me what I need. Nobody wants to deal with someone who has a nasty attitude especially when you didn’t do anything to them especially when we are paying for your service. I will never come here again. I suggest you to go to total madness in Yonkers, it’s a vibe there. Sheila did an amazing job working with my eleven year old. This was her third time getting her ears pierced because the first two times when she was a younger child at the mall did not turn out so well. The piercing was quick and done well. The shop was clean and organized. I had emailed the shop before I brought her in to make sure I could. The response was quickly returned and very polite. Highly recommend.

My daughter got her ears pierced here after a failed, infected attempt at Claires. This place was friendlier, quicker, cleaner, more efficient, better placement and my daughters ear piercing took perfectly. It was $10 cheaper as well including the $8 tip I left. Go to people who pierce for piercings, not a kid with an afterschool job. Definitely recommend for piercing.

The design and detail that the owner Adam puts in his work is by far the best I’ve seen. Now 6 tattoos later I am extremely satisfied and would highly recommend Big Joes in White Plains to anyone who is interested in body art period! The other aspect is that Adam and staff are extremely friendly and make you feel right at home. It’s a great atmosphere and he will accommodate you with Reasonable time frames to work around your schedule! 👍👍

I am not big on piercings nor tattoos for my own personal reasons, however, I wanted to try something different and get a piercing. I went on a spontaneous night and we were able to walk right in without an appointment. I received all my tattoos from Adam, his work is great, but the lack of interest in the person is what is missing from the establishment. When you enter a shop that has left a permanent mark on you, you want the artist to remember or even show they care, I never got that here. I want to be able to brainstorm with my artist and not just pick an image off the wall. It’s a quick stop if your looking for a tattoo off the wall. They also lack in response to emails. I wanted to get a big piece and no one responded to me. So I drove to Brooklyn and I’m blocks away from this location.

A few months ago i called ahead of time to make an appointment and had to email in my idea. when i arrived for my tattoo the artist didn’t introduce himself, didn’t know what i wanted and had me show him again, and then left to go “design it” after seeming uninterested and almost annoyed about said tattoo. other staff was very welcoming but the artist was not at all and we left due to how uncomfortable he made us. very unfriendly guy and not any welcoming energy that i personally want to see from artists

Lady at the front desk was rude and too busy on her phone to even look at me while talking to me. Sheila was also unnecessarily rude when I asked about bringing in my own earrings. It’s your job to inform customers- there’s no need for attitude or rudeness. Left and would not recommend.

I booked a 3PM appt weeks in advance on my birthday, only to be told less than 30 minutes before it was supposed to start, to push it back an hour. Then asked to wait another 30 minutes on top of that with no guarantee. Never got my tattoo, and I believe he took a walk-in that directly conflicted with my appointment.

Jessica and Sheila are wonderful people, but sheilas piercing practices are outdated. Jessica is only a byproduct because shes a new piercer who finished her apprenticeship with sheila. piercing helix and other cartilage piercings with curved barbells which are also surgical steel is not the standard for piercing. further, using butterfly backs is also outdated. save yourself the time, money, pain, and infections and go to Addicted to Ink. and who charges for piercing changes??? money hungry if you ask me, also upon inquiring why my flat was pierced with a curved barbell and was so irritated, i was met with sass and she insisted i was sleeping on it when i very much wasnt. as for tats, pito is the only good tattoo artist here who doesnt tattoo too deep. just never go here again and go to addicted to ink

I got my eyebrow pierced here around a month ago. Last night, the ball of my piercing fell out and I had to come in to get it fixed. As a college student, it’s really difficult to find money to do these things. I saw Sheila and she was the nicest human being ever. She gave me a free piercing ball and also tightened my piercing for me. I have had nothing but good experiences here and plan on coming back in the near future!!

Ive been coming here for a little under a year now.Ive worked with Pito and Marcel and have only gotten excellent work from them.Sheila is the best piercer around, and I have more than 15 piercings and have been everywhere for them.Im proud to say that Im a regular here. This is a gem of a shop.Would highly recommend.

I did my seconds and thirds here some months ago and the placement was off (I.e my left ear doesn’t match my right) so I guess I can only blame myself for coming back1. Didn’t show me jewelry options2. Used curved barbells (a no-no for both of the piercings I got & I only know that they’re curved because I noticed when I was cleaning them)3. Didn’t tell me the gauge of the jewelry4. Pierced Conch way too highand not to mention the whopping $120. Which of course, I wouldn’t mind paying had the results been of quality, not even the treatment, just the results. I will take care of the piercings long enough to change the jewelry as to not lose my $120 and just have to deal with the placement of it. Disappointed but I’ll try to stay on top of them and change to the correct jewelry as soon as it stops hurting.

This was my second time getting tattooed here and I love them! They came highly recommended by a friend, and they did not disappoint.The staff takes time to make sure you get exactly what you want. We walked in with no appointment on a Friday night and didnt have to wait too long. The shop is clean and the staff is completely professional.

Terrible customer service. Went here when I got my first tattoo , lady in the front had a terrible attitude. I got a simple tattoo done of a flower but one of the lines isnt fully closed. Tried to give them another chance by booking an appointment through the phone. They had slots available for when I wanted and to email them reference picture. By the time they replied they were already booked up. Dont go here. Save your self the time and go to Addicted to Ink instead. Their atmosphere and service is much better.EDIT:After I left this review they sent me this email, threatening to blackmail me for speaking out on my experience. Once again they were rude in PERSON when I went. This email shows the attitude behind the management. The issue with scheduling is separate. I am very understanding of the lack of availability. However, the issue with this interaction is not that they didnt accommodate the date I wouldve liked, but instead did not offer other available dates.

Too long of a wait. My daughter had an appointment at 2pm. Shop called to change it to 3pm. She didn’t get seen until 5:45pm. Great tattoo but not coming back since had to wait for over 2 1/2 hrs to be seen, nevertheless with an “appointment”!

I did a walk in and thought I offered a tattoo artist his dream: a blank area and your choice of art. What does he do? Pulls out a laptop so I can choose from generic fonts, and when I ask his opinion he says its your choice like I dont know how consent or tattoos work. What had actually happened was I offered a job to a tattoo machine operator who thought work? not on my watch! and then sabotaged his bread and butter to continue scrolling through Facebook reels. The epitome of lazy arrogance.

Havent been here since they moved from their other spot on Mamaroneck Ave. Anyway, theyre a legit, old-school tattoo shop. No fuss, nothing fancy - just really well applied tattoos.Adam has tattooed me several times and theyve held up to the test of time, and I am very happy with his work. This shop isnt boutique, pretentious, or any of that reality TV or Instagram nonsense. This shop is a safe bet if youre looking to get a solid tattoo for a reasonable price.

Got a navel piercing by shelia and completely regret it. It was done wrong and got left with an ugly scar I was put on antibiotics after I went to see a doctor. My first piercing completely traumatized. Scared to get it repierced. and I’ve read many bad reviews on her. Also a co worker of mine got a piercing by her and had to remove her piercing.

They sell poor quality jewelry. Shelia did a good job placing it in; but beware. A 14k gold nose ring I purchased from there had a jagged edge that kept re-injuring my nose piercing.

I had such a great experience. I call an hour before to find out if I could walk in and had NO problem when I got there. They started working on my design as soon as I walked in. Everyone from the front desk to the artist were very pleasant and humorous. I will definitely be back for another.

I have been going to this tattoo parlor for years, I couldnt ask for more when it comes to looking for a comfortable friendly environment. they are spotless clean always very professional, but yet give you the family-like vibe. not to mention all the artists are down to earth cool people with amazing talent. I was discriminated against when I came to this parlor. Im not sure if the entire parlor is racist. But the man at the front desk sure is. I had called parlor an hour prior to coming to the shop. I was waiting for two hours for a very small and simple tattoo. He told me to wait an hour when i first arrived and said the artist was busy, i figured it must be a large tattoo so I left. He had told me that he would call after the hour, he did not. I returned to the store,continued to wait. I kept asking, how much longer will i be waiting and each time I noticed a small attitude in his response. The fourth time I asked, he told me I could come back tomorrow. I dont live in White plains, I came there to receive a tattoo that same day. I began to notice, the black people were waiting significantly longer than the white people. Soon after a white person, they were quickly served. Before, I could curse him out, he went to the back. My boyfriend told me it was a better idea just to leave. We left and went to Addicted To Ink which only a few blocks away. (and cheaper) The starting price here is 60$, at Addicted To Ink it is 50$. The service was incredibly faster, the technology was better, environment was better, the workers are much friendlier. If you are a minority, or a person who believes racism is wrong. I suggest that you do not come here. Better walk around the corner and go to Addicted To Ink.

I went there for my first tattoo I had an appointment with Pito I told him it was my 1st tattoo he was amazing he went over the image I wanted made great suggestions and he was very gentle and made the experience pain free I would recommend anyone to him going back again soon for another the tattoo came out AMAZINGThe staff was great very clean and covid 19 practices in place. I had an appointment but left after waiting for 2.5 hours. The artist didn’t even have my tattoo drawn up before the appointment and made me wait longer for him to draw it. Also I overheard another artist in the back talking poorly about my tattoo design, stating it was stupid, which I thought was extremely rude and unprofessional. Overall unsatisfied and unimpressed with this shop.

I’ve gotten a few piercings from here, and they are either done in the wrong spot and I’m not show until it’s too late, or something goes wrong with my piercing. I just had to get my ear cut open at an ENT yesterday and got an earring removed that I got done here a week ago. Now I’m on 4 different antibiotics. The doctor also told me that you should never pierce through a keloid (which I was talked into doing At big joes)My friend who I brought with me is having the same problem right now and is going to see a doctor. I should have just went to addicted to ink like I normally do. Shame on me. Waste of $100.

I got my first Tattoo here. Not only was I overcharged, the tattoo artist was far from gentle and lacked common courtesy. As it was my first tattoo I was nervous and he was not at all empathetic and just starting jabbing me right away. Do not go here if it is your first tattoo.

I got my industrial pierced by sheila she did it completely wrong put it in the wrong stop so it was leaving an indent in my ear and the bar was way to small it had no space to heal at all way to expensive and not worth it at all also went to a different piercer and they told me shes known for giving bad piercings

They were professional and courteous. I came in early afternoon for a tattoo and while busy they were able to book me for that evening. Good price, very nice work.

Absolutely loved this place! called in the afternoon and squeezed four of us in and did an amazing job on all of us! very clean and professional, adam did an outstanding job!!

Me and my wife got drunk one night and got matching pirate tattoos here not my usual shop but they did an ok job. The guy who did it was a little rude but he did what he was supposed to.

Waited to see the piercer, was told she was on her way...she never turned up. She is excellent, hence the reason for the wait, but didnt appreciate the waste of my time.

I had an appointment at 12pm and the artist was not even there....I wait until 1pm and he never showed up....when I ask they said he was coming in at 2pm....not cool...( I canceled my appointment)ladies were so nice.....
