First tattoo!!! Definitely recommend Poppycock Tattoo & Piercing... From the first appointment for the consultation to actually getting the tattoo service was exceptional. The whole time I was there (4 hours) was great. Never a dull moment. If you are looking for a great tattoo parlor this is the place.

Ive gotten 7 of my tattoos done at Poppycock by various artists. They are all amazing talented artists and just great humans. I always have a good time when I visit. Everyone is super friendly and welcoming. They simply do great work.

Poppycock is the best. Everyone is kind, the shop is immaculate, and the artists take such care with creating art for their clients. Eric did an incredible job with my tattoo for my daughter.

Wanted to switch out my septum for something a little more sparkly and popped into Poppycock and found just what I needed!Both employees helped me and were super efficient and quick. I’m so happy with my new nose ring and I’ll def be back when I want another change.

This shop is the best. I’m getting my seventh piece done this weekend with Tina bc her work is top notch. Every piece has gorgeous shading and vibrant colors that have lasted over time. I’ve had a few tattoos done by less experienced artists and less expensive shops and all I can say is you get what you pay for. I’m looking for custom artwork based on ideas I discuss with my artist and I’m happy to compensate them for the time they spend on drawings before I arrive and while working with me in person. Tina is the absolute BEST.

I was so excited to get my tattoo I’ve been wanting for a long time and I’m so disappointed!! It did not turn out at all like what it was supposed to! When I tried to voice how I felt TINA was Very Rude and dismissive!

I cant recommend this shop more! I had my nose pierced by Allison and everything was done fast and I was very happy with the cleanliness and sterilization procedures. She was great! Within a week of that appointment, I also had my first tattoo done by Tina. She was amazing! She listened to what I wanted and sketched a design that was exactly what I wanted. Again, the cleanliness and procedures they use are top notch. Tina was funny and personable and a great artist. I would highly recommend!

Ive had a second ear piercing by Eric and my first tattoo done by Tina and I can honestly say I cant imagine ever going anywhere else for either service. I was so happy with my experience at Poppycock! Allison was super helpful when I reached out for pricing and setting up my appointment. Eric was my tattoo artist and he was fantastic. Cool looking place and friendly staff! Tina is very talented and I love her art and my result! I had a custom tat done. Tina responds fast to emailed questions. Very clean and safe place and procedure. I did a lot of research to decide where Id get my first tattoo and with whom, and I definitely made the right choice.

Love them!!!! If you are looking for a piercing ask for Eric. He did my first piercing which my belly button back in 2016. I recently got my nose piercing a couple days after my birthday. He was very gentle n provided helpful information. He even made sure I was okay after my appointment. He is the best!❤️❤️❤️❤️

I always have a great experience when I go and get work done. The staff is friendly and knows that they are doing. In my experience it is always good to go in with a really good idea of what you want, then you and your artist can talk about it from there.

2 industrials and 2 lobes. Eric did a great job. Took the time to make sure glasses and mask wouldnt bother the industrials. Love the covid safety. Clean shop and awesome feel. The kids love their new accessories... And want to get tattoos from there now.

Everyone is super easy to talk to and will gladly answer any questions you have with no judgement. I got a bee done by Eric to cover up a lame stick and poke and scars I had on my wrist. Super painless and came out nicely. My boyfriend got a bridge piercing done by Shon and was very knowledgeable, explaining how he pierces, techniques, etc. Conversations are v easy to have too. Got my cartilage done by him too. (I’m there too much lol).

Got my nose and lobes pierced here by Allison and it was great. The shops nice and she was very patient with me redoing my lobe placement like 12 times lol. It was very clean and she answered a lot of my questions and gave me lots of advice on placement for different needs.

I started my tattoo journey in 2019 with Eric. Hes now done all 7 of my tattoos, and I wont go anywhere else. I got my septum pierced here. It was quick, relatively painless and easy. Allison is very knowledgeable and skilled as a piercer. My piercing is healing well so far. I would definitely come back here for future piercings or tattoos. :)

I’ve been getting piercings here since I was 18. Eric Hendrickson has been taking care of me and my brother for as long as I remember. Great guy along w great service. I’ve gotten over 12 piercings with him and never had an issue! I recommend him to all.

They only do appointments which is nice you dont have to wait around for a piercer to be available. I went today and got my septum pierced and let me just say these ladies are phenomenal I had Allison as my piercer and she was very professional and was patient with my language during the piercing. She was very thorough with cleaning my nose and wlaked me through every step of what she was going to do before shoving the needle through. Overall very good place to get a piercing, the price was great too only $50 for a septum.

Went in to have the second side of my nostril pierced. It has been two weeks and its healing great. Professional shop with very kind artists. Piercer did so seamlessly and fast. Barely any pain. Will return here

If you want attention to every little detail, in a tattoo that will look as great way down the road as it did the first day, Poppycock Tattoo is the place to go! Tina is the artist who does my work, so although I can only fairly speak to the perfection of her artistry, I can say I have seen the work of Ken and Eric as well and they do amazing work! Something unique about this shop is how much of a family everyone seems to be and when you become a customer, you join that family. Even Allison who seems to manage a lot of things around the shop keeps things running and customers happy. This shop is also not intimidating as many shops Ive been in for previous tattoos. Went to shop to get piercing today 12pm. Had a sign that says “Come on in we’re open.” No one in sight. Did not answer phone. Like why have a whole brick and mortar and not do business? Oh well….off to the next tattoo shop ready for business.

Awesome place with awesome, incredibly unique staff. Eric worked with the image I had in mind, was incredibly sanitary, took pride in his work, and did a great job at applying a new tattoo and touching up a tattoo from a different artist. He was also friendly, made sure I understood the process and what to expect, and I look forward to working with him to develop my next ink. Pricing was fair - they will not gouge you like I have seen at other area shops. 10/10 would recommend for any ink work.

Excellent experience. I felt like Tina truly listened to me describe what I was looking for, and she turned my thoughts into something more beautiful than I even imagined - I get compliments on my tattoo on a daily basis! The shop is clean, well-lit, professional, and plenty of interesting artwork - not just flash. They also have an extensive body jewelry collection which I am sure I will return to peruse. Let me start off by saying that all of the staff was incredibly kind and very laid back. This is the most comfortable and clean tattoo shop I’ve ever been to. I got a tattoo done by SHon as a start to my sleeve and the level of attentiveness and detail was so incredible and it made the experience that much better. He drew up countless designs and made sure I got exactly what I wanted. The line work was impeccable and I can’t wait to go back to add more!

I was highly impressed by the cleanliness, but what most impressed me was Allison’s patience with me when I was extremely nervous (and have a problem with needles) I would give this place the highest recommendation possible. Revising my review: 4 days after the tattoo, a scab came off and along with it most of that ink in that spot. Im not thrilled at paying $80 for 20 minutes of work only to have tossed that money on the garbage. Attaching a picture to this review so you can see for yourself.Went in as a walk in midafternoon on a Tuesday (though I called the day before, and asked about their availability...and they offered me the option of reserving an appointment with a down payment for my tattoo). The tattoo was small and I knew it would be a risk to do it as a walk in, but figured I would be ok. I do advise booking your appointment though, especially if youre getting a more elaborate tattoo than mine. They were quick, and professional. I think it only took something like 20 minutes start to finish for mine (she drew the tattoo on in marker, and took a pic on her phone to show me placement and get approval before starting).This tattoo was important to me, so I did peruse their work before going. I know it seems like a very simple design, and it is, but it was important to me to have someone who did excellent work. Tina was the artist who did mine, but after looking at their artwork online, I would have been just as happy having Eric do the work as well. They have more extensive pics of all their work on their website, so if you are on the fence about whether or not theyre right for you based on the google reviews pics, check them out there.

Got my first tattoo here, am currently working on a full sleeve. Tina has done an awesome job! I am extremely happy how the tattoos are turning out. If you want a quality tattoo I wouldn’t go anywhere else but Poppycock!!!!

Got my septum pierced here by Eric. Probably some of the best piercing prices in Delaware. Everyone is super nice and knows what theyre talking about. They have a huge selection of jewelry as well. Clean environment and tools as well. The shop manager Allison is super rad and the owner Tina is an A+ business owner and tattooer. Definitely worth checking out!!

Ive been to Poppycock Tattoo 3 times. 2 for tattoos and 1 time for a piercing. Each time I went to Eric. I have three lovely tattoos (one of which is a cover-up that I thought would never be able to be changed into something so detailed yet simple. My other two tattoos are so finely done and beautiful. I got my first tattoo here and the artists know how to work with virgin skin. I didnt even feel the tattoo at all. I had 0% pain for every single one of my tattoos, and my nose piercing was over in 2 seconds and it healed very very well and was even and aligned perfectly. All in all this shop is very refined and professional. I love every single one of my tattoos and I am actually going back to have my shoulder piece done by Eric in three weeks. To anyone trying to chose between this shop and another search no more because Poppycock is one of the best shops in Delaware and quite possibly the whole tri-state area.

I have gotten 9 tattoos so far from this shop and I love each and every one as much as the rest! There is always a happy vibe and always a crazy fun thing going on in the shop! Each time I have left the shop I leave with a tattoo that will last forever and stories that will last the same! Great experience! I walked in and was there for a total of 15 min max. Eric did a great job and I barely felt it; I got my belly button pierced. The shops piercing prices are definitely the best in the area too!

An amazing little shop in downtown Wilmington. Not only are they friendly and approachable, but they are very educational with piercings! Ive only been in twice, once to get my nose pierced and a second time to get it changed and a new ring for my nose piercing and they have been very helpful. I just had a tattoo done by Eric. Its my 4th tattoo, but it was by far the easiest and best experience. Eric did an amazing job using my ideas to design the perfect tattoo. The tattoo itself is better than anything I could have imagined. The atmosphere was professional, but also relaxed. I felt at ease getting my first tattoo in 7 years. I went here once to get a piece that was15 years old recolored. Eric did a phenomenal job. Lucky for me their moving even closer too me.

I loved my experience at Poppycock! When I finally decided on a design last winter, Eric was the artist for me. I emailed through the website initially and we worked out an appointment. He took my idea and created a beautiful cover up tattoo on my upper arm and shoulder. Eric was 100% professional from start to finish and an excellent conversationist. The shop itself is entertaining as well, packed with art and oddities. I’m looking forward to having more work done by him this winter.

They do beautiful clean work. My wife and I both got small cursive writing and it is still fresh today. Super friendly people and a very clean shop. This is my new go to artists from now on.

I came in 2016 for my birthday and got a gorgeous tattoo. A whole year later and the colors are still perfect! I got my ears and eyebrow pierced and while they didnt last very long (Im apparently not a piercing sort of person lol) they were administered perfectly by a skilled and licensed piercer.Honestly 10/10 I strongly recommend this place all the artists are amazing and its just great!

This place is ah-mazing!!! tina was so awesome every step of the way with answering all questions as well as just being so personable and understanding when choosing the location of the tattoo/moving it around as well as some design tweaks! the price was great considering the high quality of the service and the high quality of the tattoo itself. the place and the equipment were clean/sterile, and i was given the appropriate bandaging & directions afterward. 10/10 recommend to anyone looking to get another tattoo, but especially for first-timers! such a relaxed and upbeat atmosphere!

This tattoo parlour is the best I’ve been too! The staff and artists are extremely friendly, unique, laid back, and professional at the same time. Sought out SHon based on his style of work, easily made an appointment for a consult and then appointment for the tattoo. SHon worked with me and my idea (and he had to re-draw a few times based on my wants) but worked until I was 100% satisfied. Allison was fantastic, she did the first piercings Ive gotten since 2016, and if (when) I get more done Im certainly coming back here, even though I live about 40 minutes away!

I was referred to Poppycock by some friends of mine specially for a septum piercing. Eric walked through everything he was doing in the process, gentle for such a sensitive spot to pierce and explained after care for my nose. Three months later its finally fully healed and looks great! Highly recommended this spot.

Allison is awesome. I’m a sensitive healer for piercings and my nostril has done better than most of my other piercings, including the two other times I had a nostril piercing.

Staff was awesome. I got 1 nostril and 1 eyebrow, I was in and out. It actually took longer to fill out the paperwork. I definitely recommend and I will be going back for more.

Yesterday I came to pick out noise ring was even instructions how take put it in. Well of course I end up breaking it. The staff was really nice about letting me get a new one since it had broke the night before. I never meantion that I have been here two yrs ago when Pat was the owner , He was Awesome! But the staff now with the exception of Tina I think was here name was horrible everyone played busy didnt want to HELP except for this one girl that might have been the boss and I do use that term lossly. She barked for the one guy to help me while she stood around doing nothing. Finally a very nice young Lady from the tattoo part offer to help me out and was able just that. I thanked and tipped her.As I was their Tina suggested that I get a hoop also because my nose ring that I have is sinking in so I did. It was 15 but was told I had to pay 5 dollars more after my service was complete because she put it in for me. Which I was never told from Allison ..... Needless to say they will never ever get business from me again.

Tina is AMAZING!!! She created the most beautiful piece of artwork for me, people actually have stopped me on the street and asked about my tattoo. I do and will continue to recommend Poppycock and Tina!

Ken was awesome and expertly tattooed me and my wife. We had a great time in the relaxed environment and would definitely go back. The shop was also very clean and everyone was fun and professional. Great shop!

I havent had any peircings in 10+ yrs. I wanted to get some ear peircings so i went in. They have very friendly staff! Shon did my peircing and has since done another, as well as change out and fit me for a ring on my ear. He does a great job and my experiences have been great and almost pain free! He really knows what hes doing and makes you feel comfortable. Certainly one of wilmingtons best tattoo shops! I will always come here for all tattoo and peircings.

Very clean. Went in there for a tongue 👅 piercing, first time, and guy was relax and walk me thru the steps even though I went with a friend and got hers done before me. He was reassuring me that everything will be just fine. And if I feel like something is wrong to come back.

Got my tattoo done by Tina. I love it. I got a molecule tattooed on my upper arm and she worked with me on just how to draw it out so that it came out just how I saw it in my head. Highly recommend if youre in the area

Well I gave them two stars because the first time I went I got the Monroe piercing and everything was ok I guess but omg the second time I went it was a disaster!! I went to get my tongue pierced and after it was don I couldnt close my mouth the bar was extremely too long and he told me to just keep it crooked/slanted in my mouth until it was healed. I thought he was out of his freakin mind, so he took it out and decided to attempt to put a smaller one in (Idk why he even gave me the longest bar in the store to begin with but ok) and thennnnn he couldnt find the hole so at this point Im in so much pain my tongue is clamped and hes poking around on my tongue and Im sweating like no thank you, I dont even want the piercing anymore. He ended up giving me credit to get something different on another day but after that experience I will never go there again.

I feel like piercers should know to give longer bars for lip piercings for people with fuller lips, because now I have to go back to get a longer bar even after I asked if I should get a longer bar when it was pierced for swelling.

Where to start...I just left this place scratching my head. Many have posted that, there is always a happy vibe, however, not so much for me. I guess when they saw tall Black guy wearing a This is my Zombie killing T-Shirt all of the Happy vibes went out the door. I was Kinda shocked especially since several of my wifes co-workers recommended this place. So I walk to the toward the counter smiling and the gentleman behind the register fails to greet me at all -like you could hear a pin drop. So jokingly i say helppp, and i show him my tattoo on my forearm and again ( you can hear a roach fart) LMAO ! So I start, Im looking to try and get this tattoo covered . He looks at my forearm and says you going to have to do a half sleeve. Again jokingly I say my job will fire me , and again, nothing ( you can here 2 fleas going at it hard). So , I ask ,what do you recommend ? Whatever you like( Like the servants on coming to America) Then I ask do you have any books I can look thru ( The Books are very basic . So I cant see them because they are basic...SMH. Thats why I came here to spend my hard earned money to get some help.Then he says most people bring in a picture and we draw it up and , at the end of the intense conversation he says I recommend getting laser surgery to lighten it up. All of this from behind a counter at lease 5 foot wide and kinda dim. I dont mind being told that I need to lighten my tattoo, but it seems like he didnt even look at it and he wasnt all that interested to begin with. I dont know about other folks, but i would not recommend this place.
