I couldnt be happier with my re-do tattoo. T-Bone took a tattoo I hid from the world because it was awful. Other than sentimental value. He transformed it into a beautiful tattoo that means so much and looks fabulous. He sent me ideas and sketches before I came in. He made me feel so comfortable and really I couldnt have been more pleased. Fantastic pricing from a place that clearly loves what they do. From the front desk who treated us with her sweetness to the very end, I would recommend Lark Street Tattoo and will most certainly be going back! Thanks T-Bone!

Very happy with my experience here. I was looking to cover up a tattoo I got when I was younger and the end result was fantastic. The whole experience was very positive, especially as someone who wasn’t very familiar with getting a tattoo. Service was great and I walked out spending a very reasonable amount for the work. Would definitely go back and recommend it to others.

Jason is an excellent and experienced tattoo artist. He is very patient and great at his craft.

Had a great experience working with Jason this past week. My two friends and I decided to get tattoos to commemorate my bachelorette weekend. We booked the appointment a few weeks in advance. The receptionist was very kind and helpful on the phone/email. We love how the tattoos came out and felt comfortable working with Jason, he is professional and easy to talk to. I will definitely be getting another piece done in the future here.

Loved my experience here! T-Bone(Thomas) did an amazing job! I got two small tattoos done by him and they both came out beautiful. The whole process was quick and easy and he made me feel very comfortable. I loved chatting with him as well, he’s very friendly. The people at the front desk were also super kind and welcoming. The establishment itself was also very clean and colorful and vibrant, i loved the energy there . Would definitely recommend!

We were in Albany from out of town , I booked the appointment with the $60 deposit …..after sending pictures of the basics of what we wanted, discussing the artist adding their own touch as well as the most important aspects of the sketch. We arrived …. Yes 14 min late - however I did call . This tattoo was for my son . His firsthe is moving to Albany for college and basketball ) Well we walked in and walked out in a total of 8 min. The artist Jason seemed to have a chip on his shoulder from the start even (* please note he was getting things ready when we got there) , again I understand we were late and if that would have been an issue I would have compensated time had that been asked . Instead my son was showed a sketch ( if that’s what you call it ) that may or may not have been pulled from the local kindergarten library. I wanted to ask him if this was something he would let his child get , but was cut off my him reminding me that it was 7:00pm again yes we were late , however this is a tattoo if the time of the arrival was the real issue SAY THAT. The original appointment was made for 7pm . They close at 8 . I was surprised they said they would get it done by 8, so was thinking they just booked the last appointment at 7 and took their time . Apparently not the case . I was really baffled at that point , his attitude, the coloring page he was willing to tattoo on my son , and the things that came out of his mouth . I told him to keep my $60 and we left . I would never even want to try to rebook the appointment. I’ll eat my $60, however I won’t let the nastiness of what I experienced not be heard ✌🏼

I’ve been looking for a new shop since relocating from Florida and this is definitely it. My husband and I tried another shop in town and didn’t have the best experience (although the tattoos still came out great) so I was a little nervous about this one. I got 2 tattoos in one session and they both came out better than I imagined. Jason and the front desk woman were both fantastic and made me feel comfortable and totally judgement free. The price was also way less than I expected because he worked quickly and efficiently. I have 22 other tattoos, but he still took the time to go over aftercare which I really appreciated because I do be forgetful. Highly recommend this place and Jason, and I’m looking forward to going back!

Update: Went back again to see Jason! He is absolutely the best. He has done almost all of my tattoos and I couldnt be happier. I go in with an idea and he brings it to life. I really take his opinion to heart. I wont go anywhere else.Jason was awesome. Great conversation was comfortable and relaxed the whole time. Think I found my new shop. Cant wait to go back!!!!

I have heard many positive experiences about Lark Tattoo that I thought it would be a great place to go for my first tattoo experience. After checking out the website, I decided to book an appointment with Shelley. She easily made my experience worth it. She is extremely talented and brought to reality what I had envisioned in my head. Throughout the entire appointment, she was able to distract me and calm my nerves. I left with a beautifully done tattoo. I would definitely go back here for my next one

I went to Lark for my first tattoo and my experience there was absolutely incredible. All the staff is so nice and welcoming and really connect with you, you can really tell they love what they’re doing. My tattoo was done by Shelley who is just a sweetheart and she made sure my experience went smoothly. If I ever want to get another tattoo, I will definitely be coming back here!!!😊

Super relaxed place! Everything was awesome, I worked with Natalie and loved every second of it. I get very anxious during tattoos and she calmed me right down and eased my fears. Wonderful people, wonderful atmosphere, great tattoo!

The tattoo that I just got from Shelley this week is by far my largest piece, and I love it so much. I cant stop showing it off to anyone wholl look. I have 4 tattoos, all from Shelley, and I cant imagine going to anyone else. I love her work and recommend her to anyone who asks about getting a tattoo. We went to another tattoo shop first for nipple piercings but the piercer looked so high on heroin or some type of sedative, that we chose not to let her pierce us. We stopped at lark st to see if they could fit us in they couldnt which was fine. Just wanted to give a shout out to the front desk receptionist at lark st as she seemed SOBER and was extremely friendly. We told her of our experience at Shocker and she claimed she hears that regularly which is sad. I will bring my business to Lark st, thanks for friendly sober service Lark St!

These folks at Lark Tattoo are awesome! A good friend sent me to Kyle, one of the artists at Lark. I knew what I wanted for my 2nd and 3rd tattoos and Kyle took the time to make sure the designs and placements worked for me. His easygoing confidence (not egotistical) gave me trust in his work and showed his commitment to working WITH someone, not just ON them. The place is clean and you can tell they’re serious about keeping a hygienic shop. Cristina and Sabra are keeping the place running smoothly and are easy to work with too!My art: One is a straightforward, 2 inch, on the wrist. The larger one is 5-6 colors, about 3-4 inches round on my outside calf and it totally smashed my expectations.Kyle’s design and finished work for the larger one just blew my mind. I might be a novice, but I’ve seen a lot in this world, and I have to say Kyle’s art and inking ability are A++. Lark Tattoo and Kyle rock, so whether your a rookie or you’ve been getting inked for years, this is the shop and the artist who will do it right; I can’t imagine you’d be disappointed. My next ideas pin-balling around my noggin and I can’t wait to see what he can do with them. All that, plus Kyle’s a real cool dude, too. Thank you Kyle and Lark Tattoo!!!

This may not be fair because I wrote a review a year ago (ha!) but I have to say it again - the staff and the caliber of work at Lark Street Tattoo is like no other. Every time I walk in the door, I am welcomed and respected. The energy is great and the work of each artist is unique and top notch. A year has passed since my last review and the place has only gotten better. Thank you to all! Keep up the great work!

Eric was great. He’s know how to lighten the mood for my first tattoo it was a great experience. The place is very clean, the artists actually care about what you think about their sketch and they told get offended if you don’t like the first sketch and they get an understanding of what is you actually what you want down to the font and the design

So happy to go back to Lark Street for another session with Shelley. Shes done three of my tattoos now. I just love her. My husband also got a tatt from her today. Fantastic experience. Such a great shop. I love it there! Shelley is a fantastic artist!

Really great experience with Ben. I got a sternum tattoo and he was really attentive to my wishes with the design, sensitive to the pain, and professional with the location. The only issue was a fluke with the scheduling, but Sabra was able to work it out and was helpful too. I will definitely be going back for my next one!

I received a tattoo here yesterday. At first, I was optimistic I had spoken to the receptionist who was very friendly and answered every questions I had. Upon entering the shop I noticed it was clean so that was a plus again, the receptionist was very nice and if not for her I would have been hesitant. Fast forward the design I had sent to the receptionist didn’t go into correlation of the placement, size etc into what I wanted to cover up which I understood after talking with the artist. My problem was that the artist did not introduce himself say hello or anything which I thought didn’t make this a friendly experience at all when you go to an artist you want to get a warm welcome and friendly vibe but I just didn’t get that. And instead of making suggestions and asking me what I wanted to do and taking his time I felt very rushed and felt like he was in it for the money. We came on an agreement with a rose to match my other tattoo which I thought would be good. He then proceeded to outline/sketch my tattoo on my body with a sharpie marker. I’m no tattoo expert but once your opening the skin isn’t that dangerous to get the toxic ink from the sharpie into your blood stream??! I thought my overall experience would be more welcoming and friendly from the artist and I thought he would take his time to sketch on a piece of paper instead of outlining with a sharpie on my body for 30 seconds and spend more time on creating the design instead of rushing. You can tell that he didn’t shade throughly rushed through the whole process and could care less about my tattoo. Very disappointed in the customer service and I’m hoping the sharpie going into my blood stream won’t cause any problems. Shouldn’t that be a health violation? (This is something I’m going to look into for myself with my doctor.) I wish I wasn’t filled with so many emotions I should have went in with. a clear head because if I was thinking clearly I would have noticed these red flags. If your looking for an impressionable friendly experience and an artist who will take there time and not draw with a sharpie on your body and spend 5 minutes to tattoo on your body, then I suggest you go somewhere else.

The artist who I did a consultation with was rude and made me feel extremely uncomfortable, didn’t even introduce himself to me, and I had to ask three times around how much the tattoo would be before I got an answer- it felt like they were trying to just get me in and then tell me after the tattoo. On top of that, because they wouldn’t originally tell me how much the tattoo would be, they didn’t have me put a deposit down. I had a gift certificate and when I cancelled the appointment because I felt uncomfortable in getting tattooed there, they voided out my gift certificate as the deposit. Overall, bad vibes and just felt like they were trying to pull one over on me. And I’m out of my gift certificate.Went to A Vita in East Greenbush and they did it last night for way less than quoted by lark street and it’s BEAUTIFUL

Every artist has their own special style and talent. i’m always welcomed by smiling faces and helped immediately. i love the energy of their professional but chill vibe at the shop. i have now gotten three tattoos done here by various artists and i plan to continue to be a client!

I called on a whim, cos I’d been looking for someone to finish my sleeve, back home in Binghamton, only to be told anyone I called was booked months out. These guys got me in same day for consult, and in the chair the next day due to a cancellation. At first this concerned me. But that was quickly put to rest. Good quality work. And clearly people who value and take pride in their tradecraft. I’ll be going back for all my work while in Albany

In 1993 Tom T Bone did an amazing job on my tattoo. Over time, naturally the tattoo faded and needed to be touched up. I recently met with Tom again to complete the touch up. I am 100% satisfied with Toms work in the result of my touch up. The staff ( Sabra) was courteous, friendly, and professional. The process to see Tom after 25 years was seamless for making an appointment to the actual sit-down work he did. I was just as satisfied in 2018 with the Lark Street Tattoo as I was in 1993..

My tattoo is uneven and not the size I wanted. It is not clean and the artist was very annoyed by the size I wanted it and would make a comment every time I asked him to make it smaller. It was a very simple tatoo and the lines were not very clean. It was my first tattoo and I am very dissatisfied and upset. This is on my body forever and now it needs to be fixed.

Great staff! Always friendly! I’ve gotten tattoos from Ben, Kara, Eric, and Kyle. Always have had interesting conversation and expert skills from each of them. That’s why I keep going back. :->
