I love getting tattoos done by nic ferdinandus. Hes done 5 of my tattoos so far and i love them all so much. So huge shout out to nic and joe who did all of my facial piercings thank you guys so much!

Joe has been my piercer for a few years now. He did both of my nose piercings, which healed beautifully. It was like he hit the sweet spot because I didn’t feel either of them during the piercing and I didn’t even bleed!He’s done 4 of my ear piercings as well which also healed awesome. He let me get them done all one shot but took his time with the placement, especially with my helixes.Joe was also really awesome because he helped me switch all my piercings to clear retainers for nursing school!

Joe is the best piercer!! He has done every one of my piercings (4 total) over the years. He’s very good with needles, provides the best aftercare and always finds a way to comfort me during the process. He keeps things very clean and moving along easily. Amazing experience every single time!!

I arrived wanting an industrial piercing, but I ended up getting a high helix and a flat. Eva pierced my ear and recommended against an industrial because of my ear anatomy rather than doing it without mentioning possible risks. I am very grateful that she took the time to explain that she wanted me to have a good healing experience and to enjoy my piercing! She took the extra time to help me pick out another similar piercing. When it was time for the piercing, she did an excellent job job keeping everything sterile and making sure the piercing was going to go in the best spots possible! Once my new piercings heal I will definitely be back for more!!

Joe Chavez is an awesome piercer. I had gone to Claire’s when I was younger using the piercing guns. Well Claire’s completely ruined the spacing on my left ear whereas my right ear was fine. I went to Joe to try and get My left ear spacing fixed and he was super nice about it and fixed my spacing. There was a lot that I had to fix. 5 piercings in one day and it looks 100 times better. And Joe told me if I didn’t like where he placed one earring I was a little apprehensive before he pierced it, he said he would pierce it where I wanted it for free with the earring. I was impressed by his customer service and super pleased with my earrings spacing.

I genuinely had a good experience and the piercer was nice and explained things thoroughly, but… it came out crooked. Things happen, I don’t really feel the need to redo it since it’s not bad. It’s still annoying tho.

Best place to get a piercing! Joe is the only person that I will ever trust when it comes to piercings. He makes sure that you are comfortable and that everything is perfect. I get all my piercings here done by joe! He is professional. Light handed I have a very low pain tolerance and I barley feel the piercings. He is the only person I will go to. I also love the quality of there shirt I own about 6 of them and they don’t shrink. In the photo he did all the piercings you can see my nose my double helix and double lobe!

Loved that they accepted walk-ins. I went for a nose piercing. Wait time was less than 10 minutes and my piercer was knowledgeable, answered all of my questions and even provided his card for any questions. I love my nose stud and if I need any other piercings, I will definitely go back! Staff was friendly and prompt, location was clean, Covid guidelines followed and it was easy to get to within Cottonwood Mall.

I got two piercings and my friend got two also yesterday. Joe was really great! He made the experience fun! I have a lot of piercings and all the previous piercers were really serious, which is good but a fun experience is the best. Joe is the best. Hes done my 16 year old daughters 2nd nose and now her tongue piercings. He was nice, kept her calm, and was quick with both. Her 2nd nose piercing matched the 1st perfect when the swelling went down. She was nervous for the tongue, and it went super quick and only hurt a bit.

Found Jayla on Instagram and fell In love with her art. She is amazing with color and black&gray! She has a light hand and is very personable. She is a wonderful tattoo artist to work with. I’ve had both my nose, and my industrial pierced by factory edge and absolutely loved it. The staff were awesome, and the talent they have is outstanding. I brought my 11 year old daughter here for her ear piercing with Joe C. We had had a terrible experience with her ears getting pierced at another mall establishment 2 years ago and the infection lasted for months until I just let the holes close. Having them pierced by Joe was our 2nd attempt at letting her have pierced ears. He took every precaution to maintain a germ-free environment. He did a great job at explaining everything before he did it, was very kind and professional, and did a fantastic job with her after care. We highly recommend Joe! Factory Edge was recommended to us by a friend before we came in. We are very happy we took their advice!

Yes! Get your piercing(s) done here! I made the spontaneous decision to get my second ear piercing done, and Factory Edge was the only shop that could accommodate on a weekend. So grateful for my piercer Joe Chavez, who made me feel immediately at ease and clearly took such pride in his work. Great place to get a piercing! A few months back I went in to get my nose pierced. Joe was very professional and quick! He explained the aftercare instructions an also gave me information on how the process is done to reopen some of my other piercings I previously had. Also great pricing! I will be going back! As someone in the medical profession, I expect aseptic technique and execution with the procedure I am receiving and you pay for what you get. I understand supply and demand and I had to wait 45 min. to receive the piercing I was wanting and the wait was worth the outcome. Once the wait was over the procedure was quick and precise. I respect and admire the quality of jewelry and the professionalism once I was in the procedure room. I will definitely continue to come back for any future piercing needs. Sarcasm is one of his strong suits, so if you have a weak sense of humor hold your opinion to yourself. Joe Chavez is technically on point and I appreciate the experience.

Walked in last summer to get both sides of my nose pierced by Joe Chavez and he did an absolutely amazing job. The healing process has been very easy and Joe was very professional. So I went in to get an industrial piercing and left with a nose piercing instead. Joe Chavez had a look at my ears and was straight honest about the fact that the industrial wouldnt work because of the shape of my ears. I appreciate his honesty. My nose piercing is perfect and Im glad i listened to him. I look forward to seeing him again and getting more work done. My husband did get his industrial piercing from Joe and he isnt one for piercing but he is so happy with it. He was sore for maybe 2 days.Im glad we both waited and we were lucky enough to be in the mall that day. Joe Chavez is awesome! When my 12 year old daughter wanted a Helix piercing, there was no way I was trusting it to someone who gets paid minimum wage at Claires. We went to Joe and he treated her with such care as if she were his own daughter. Since then, weve gone back a couple times to have the piercing changed and hes been great every time. Highly recommend him! Hell even order jewelry for you to make sure you get high quality that wont harm your skin.

Highly recommend Joe for your piercing needs! I had been contemplating re-piercing my belly button for some time now and after walking in for some clothing I noticed they offered piercings. I initially just went to the counter for a consult with Joe to see if it could even be done with all the scar tissue. After speaking with him though, he said he needed to see it to evaluate it better. Not even ten minutes later, I was taken back and he insisted that the hole had not fully closed. After playfully arguing with him as I thought itd been closed for 13 years, I let him see if he could get a ring through. Sure enough, he was right; the hole had not fully closed! Now dont get me wrong, it took him some effort but I was so glad he didnt try and recreate a new opening when it wasnt necessary. His instincts and knowledge were spot on! So glad I went there that day by chance! Will definitely be going back.

Ive gotten all 9 of my piercings here and love them all, all done by Joe! That includes multiple lobe piercings, a helix, a septum, a bellybutton and a nostril piercing. They are all beautifully pierced and healed now and sit nicely. 110% coming back for my next piercing. I also got a Friday the 13th tattoo at factory and am in love with the line work and coloring on it. This is my favorite location to get body mods!!

Joe helped me fix an infected piercing given to me by a different tattoo studio. He replaced the studs with gold hoops (per my request) and explained how to take care of my piercings, and made me feel comfortable. It was a good price price for the privacy, care, and cleanliness.

The wait time wasn’t super long but it also depends on how much people there is but other than that, it was quick. My wife, daughter, nephew, sister-in-law and myself have all received nose piercings as well as other piercings from Joe Chavez. I have to say, I have had many piercings and tattoos in my life time, but this shop is by far the cleanest and employs some of the most professional body modification artists that I have ever dealt with. There was not a single time when I was there where I felt uncomfortable, or felt like Joe Chavez was not 100% confident in his abilities. What I really liked is the fact that he made accommodations for me due to my career, and gave me and my family excellent advice for after care. Another huge plus goes to the fact that a good portion of their apparel is very pro-military, law enforcement and first responder! That is almost unheard of in this day and age. If you you are looking for a shop that absolutely knows their profession and makes you feel welcome, then Factory Edge is the place. I went in a couple weeks ago to check out their jewelry for my belly button. I had pierced it elsewhere but it was getting infected. Joe was beyond amazing! He helped me with a customized piece, explained why the one I was wearing was not good for me, gave me tips on how to care for my piercing. Joe is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING and though I cannot remember the name of the girl who pierced me there a little while ago, she was amazing as well. I would highly recommend checking this place out if youre wanting to get pierced or are even just looking to buy jewelry. This location is definitely my trusty go-to spot!

I went in on Sunday 7/3 for my septum and my daith. Joe was the one who pierced both. He got my Cartledge instead of my sweet spot which hurt so bad! I was cleaning it the way I was supposed to and After 4 days of being in so much pain and following my gut feeling I went to Evolution Body Piercing and had one of their guys look at it. They said it was pierced to far back and to far up and it was crooked!! They had to take it out so it wouldn’t get infected. So far my ear has been fine. I read good reviews on here and had a friend tell me to go here also. So I did. Maybe he was having a bad day or maybe he didn’t want to do my piercings. But now I spent that money for nothing to have them take out my noise piercing because it was done in correctly! The other guy at Evolution could see my sweet spot right away! Never going back here. Sent them an email to get my money back since I had a botched job. Haven’t heard from anyone. They were close and convenient however I’ll rather go to the other side of ABQ to get it done right.

I came here two years ago to get my nose pierced, the staff were very friendly while also professional. Was a quick and easy process and I loved the piercing as well as the jewelry they had available. I came back and brought my sister recently so she could get her nose pierced as well and yet again had an awesome experience. Will be coming here for future piercings.

Joe pierced my nostril at a weird angle and it has this cut going down to the piercing that hasnt healed since, and its been about a month. My piercing has gotten infected since the wound has more area for the germs to get through and their recommended treatment has done nothing to help. Joe assumed I wanted a stud instead of a ring and when I told him (which was right before he pierced, because he didnt even warn me), he almost didnt give me a ring color choice, and he gave me a small thin ring. Is it so strange for a female to want a big silver hunk of metal in her nose? Well now its infected because of Joe rushing or just his plain lack of skill. he also pierced my friends belly button crooked. Would give zero stars.

I have only had one piercing done here (by joe chavez) and had a great experience. It was my first nose piercing and I was nervous about it hurting because I hate needles but love piercings lol. Joe didn’t make me feel rushed and even showed me breathing techniques just incase. DEFINITELY 10/10 recommend coming here if it’s your first piercing or if the only thing holding you back from being pierced is the needles ( but go to get the rest of them too !! ) 😂

Went in for a nose piercing and everyone was super helpful! Was probably done within 10-15 minutes of walking in, and the staff were very professional. Joe was great! The piercing itself hurt so much less than the first time I had a nose piercing about 3 years ago. Would def go back for any other piercings I may want in the future.

I love factory edge I have had my industrial pierced my joe Chavez and it healed so fast and looks great, I also have had my belly button pierced by joe as well! I have multiple tattoos done by Ayden and he’s such a talented tattoo artist. I got a small tattoo that reads “ die with memories not dreams” and small written tattoos are complicated to get the writing line work good, but the tattoo looks awesome! He will be my forever tattoo artist. But everyone at the shop is extremely good at there job from piercing or tattoos! Thank you factory edge.

My friend and I just got our noses pierced yesterday here. We were both pretty nervous since it was our first piercing, but our piercer Billy easily put our nerves to ease and made us feel comfortable. Very nice and professional, will definitely be recommending!

This is the only place i’ll go to get any piercing especially by Joe he’s fantastic,fast,and clean. Went in to try and find a new longer barbell for a swollen, irritated piercing that was causing me a lot of pain, and the girl who helped me was awesome. She listened to all my concerns and helped me pick a cute set that turned out to be even cheaper than I was planning to pay. After less than 8 hours with the new bar in, I was already feeling significantly better and now, a little over a day later, the irritation has nearly subsided. Unfortunately I didnt catch the young ladys name and even if I had, my memory is a black hole where information goes to die, so if youre the nice girl with the sparkly pink shoes I complimented, I hope both sides of your pillow are cool and you wake up with nothing but good hair days. ❤️

Billy was my piercer and he was amazing. Friendly, kind, professional, quick and virtually painless. I got 5 piercings on the cartridge of my ear and he made it a breeze. I always heard it hurt like crazy but it wasnt bad at all. An hour and one Ibuprofen 800 later, I couldnt feel a thing and no problems since. The store was clean and the atmosphere was pleasant. I highly recommend Billy and Factory Edge because they are not only great but half the price of some of their competitors.Why go elsewhere?

I went in for a Daith piercing as a Birthday present for myself. Joe was awesome. He asked me as soon as I told him what I wanted how bad my headaches get and where do they originate at. I was very impressed with how knowledgeable he is but also how kind and helpful. I told him that I heard it was good for headaches but that I honestly thought it just looked like a great piercing. As soon as I was prepped and ready to go, he walked me through breathing and as soon as he started it was over. My secret? I walked in sporting a headache that had been hanging around for a couple days. My headache was instantly gone... From a piercing! Thank you Joe! I will say this though. I didn’t realize how bad my headache was since I have kind of just gotten used to them when I do get them. It took about 4-5 days to recover from the headache. The piercing hurt less and I will be going back to Joe for at least one, maybe two more piercings

So I have had 2 piercings done at factory edge. And had both the pierces at factory edge Pierce my industrial. And my nose. And both of them are very gentle and sensitive when their piercing. They are very professional and they make sure you know how to take care of and clean your piercing before and after they Pierce it.

I wanted my ear piercings replaced after I purchased earrings from Factory Edge, thinking it would be easy and fast. I was told 4 customers where ahead of me and it would be at least 30 minutes and I told Joe I would be back. I came back 1 hour later and it was the same answer. I personally feel my earrings were not a high price item so it was no interest for Joe to do, so he turned it down. Horrible customer service and I will never come back again.

I took my 12 year old to get her ears pierced for the first time again since birth after they closed. She was pretty hesitant, but after meeting and talking to Joe, she felt extremely comfortable and was feeling a little silly… thanks to his personable service and humility. I got my first piercing here from joe. Honestly would recommend just because he likes to get to know you while being extremely professional and precise. You gotta have trust in someone for this, so I’d trust Joe.

So I went in earlier today to get my first ever nose piercing, a septum. When I arrived at the store, I was told it would be 20 minutes for them to get ready, so I took that time to grab a quick bite. As soon as I got back, I was scolded for “running off” and told I wasted their time. (I made sure to get my food as fast as I could so I wouldn’t do that.). After Joe Chavez helped me sign up, I went to the back to get it done. He tells me that my nose is uneven and that he’ll have to pierce it a certain way, which was fine. However, once he got down to it, he left the needle in my nose and was rushing me to look at it even though I told him I couldn’t see since my eyes were watering badly. He took his sweet time putting the septum in and it hurt like crazy.

I had the best experiance when I went here to have my tongue redone! I went on Saturday 8/17/19. Joe Chavez was absolutely amazing! Instead of completely repiercing my tongue, he suggested that I taper it back up since Ive had it for so long. I ended up not having to spend as much money, and that was awesome! He also was really good with my son who was throwing a fit the whole time. I highly recommend going to him for all your peircing needs!

One day I asked if they take walk ins for piercings as I wanted to get my septum pierced, and the woman in the front was nice and told me that the piercer just left but I can come in from 11am to 5pm the next day and get it done. I went in about 3 the next day just for them to say “sorry we don’t do walk ins anymore”.. bulls*** because while walking around the mall about an hour later there was a line out the door and someone getting their nose pierced through the window. Will not be getting my business.

I traveled with my daughter many hours to come and get her nose pierced. the area we live in does not have any professional piercer’s. We made the trip twice. The first time we came the young lady at the desk said all my daughter needed was her birth certificate and my ID. The second time we come back they said because she did not have any ID That she cannot get her nose pierced. I offered many other forms such as school records and school ID. Very unprofessional definitely will never come here again. Do not waste your time in this place

Ive had 6 piercings here by Joe. 3 of which had to be taken out because of how crooked they were. He is definitely on the top of the list of the most unprofessional employees Ive ever met. Deep down he is a chill guy, but too chill for the job of literally sticking needles in people to be giving them somewhat permanent body modifications.

I went in to have my septum repierced. This isnt the first time I had a piercing by Joe Chavez. Well I sat down and looked at the jewelry he planned on using and I didnt like it because it was to big. So I told him I had the jewelry from the first time I pierced it. He said he could enclave it and it would take 45 minutes. So we came back in 45 minutes and got my piercing done, he told me to check it out. I asked him if he was sure he used my jewelry because it looked too big. He said he did and he was only going to charge me $45. Well when I got home I measured it with my other jewelry and indeed it was bigger. Very unprofessional of him to be dishonest and use jewelry that I told him I didnt want. His attitude is bad in general. He acts as if youre wasting his time.

My first experience with Factory Edge was about May of last year. My wife took our oldest daughter to get her nose pierced for her 14th birthday. She was bleeding more than usual and Joe (the piercer) told them she was anaemic. Just a few short months later, she was diagnosed with an iron deficiency that requires a prescription for daily supplements. Fast forward a year later; my wife and I were looking to get tattoos for our 16th anniversary. We were introduced to Ayden, and dont regret a thing. From my first time there, the place felt like family. Cant wait to get some more stuff done. We found our family piercer AND tattoo artist in the same place!!

I enjoy going into Factory Edge its very clean and organized always has amazing costumer service and every one whom works there are great and extremely nice.Thanks to Joe Chaves I get most of my piercings from him and he does a great job very quick and professional and very informative when answering any questions you might have on the topic and makes sure you know what to do when you leave the store.

At factory edge joe is my favorite piercer! He’s done all of my girlfriends piercings and my nose piercing. I won’t trust anyone else but him. Plus everyone over there is super nice and cool.

I went in to get my ear pierced which i thought was going to be $20. i then get my ear piercing with joe chavez and he tells me if i want a stud to match my other ear little did i know the price was going to come out to $49. he tells me after i get the piercing that the stud is more than the hoop then rudely points to the sign showing the prices. i do not recommend him he is so rude and unprofessional.

I got my nose and belly button pierced and my first tattoo (by rex) at factory edge. both my piercing healed perfectly and my tattoo looks amazing ! will definitely be getting more of each here in the future! :)

Love the shop because they sell Sullen...obsessed because Joe Chavez is a great piercer...So happy they are still inking and piercing during COVID. Clean, and safe environment.Professional and courteous staff.

I went in there with my mom to get an industrial piercing a month or so ago and there wasnt an available piercer at the time since I am a minor and they would rather have experienced piercers doing younger people. The staff is always friendly and considerate to your concerns, every time Ive been its always a calm and peaceful atmosphere that everyone feels comfortable with. Recommending this shop to everyone I know

I’ve been tattooed by ayden not once, or twice, but 3 times and I came back for a reason! He did one of the larger pieces in me as well as 2 smaller, but not simpler, tattoos and all 3 are my favorite tattoos. He’s sooo gentle and honestly really knows how to calm you down if you’re the type of person to get a lil anxiety for tattoos. 10/10 would recommend for anyone

Absolutely great! got my vertical labret done here & joe chavez was my piercer . i experienced hardly any pain during the procedure , plus a month later when my jewelry fell out he replaced it for free !! amazing customer service all around , great prices and the staff does a great job answering ALL your questions and addressing your concerns .

Factory Edge is awesome :) I had previously gotten my nose pierced about 2 months ago through the shop which was a great experience. I am a healthcare worker and needed to purchase a clear glass nose stud to continue to work, which Joe and Factory Edge gave to me for free to continue working during the pandemic. Thank you!! :)

Joe is an amazing piercer. He is very profesional and knows what he is doing. If you are looking for a place to get pierced, go to him. Also specifically if you are looking to get your daith pierced, this is your guy.

***Update***By chance I met the manager Joe of this place. Told him about my previous experience. He apologized and offered pierce and jewelry for it on the house. Told me he’s at the store 11 hours a day 7 days a week to just brin my daughter in and ask for him....low and behold went there 4 times in one week, and he was not in each time we went!! So if I could take away the 1 star and give -0 I would. Ended up at Evolution again!!Been to this shop 3 times to get a simple piercing for my daughter for her birthday. EVERY time we showed up there was no piercer available. After sitting on the couch for about 30 mins waiting for for someone a stoned guy who couldnt pronounce a word right came out and told us all they have is an apprentice piercer and the regular guy just wanders in and out all day....so DONE with this place it sucks. Going downtown to find an actual tattoo and piercing shop. Oh and each time we showed up the same guy gave us a card and said we would get a discount next time we came...I even called ahead to make sure there was someone there who could pierce!! we we were there 3 times and didnt even get service. Total fail.

Everyone at this location is amazing ! Joe always does a great job with my piercings & I got my first tattoo done here I LOVE FACTORY EGDE DEFINITELY WOULD RECOMMEND!!

I go to Nic/Nicolaas Ferdinandus for my tattoos he is absolutely amazing he does incredible work and is so understanding he always makes sure you get exactly what you want! I have some big scars and I was very nervous going to someone to get tattoos around them I didnt know what I wanted or if it was possible to make them look decent but Nic was amazing he came up with designs that fit around them perfectly now I love them and I dont cover them up anymore I get so many compliments on the tattoos and how the artist/Nic did an amazing job with working around the scars and making everything blend together perfectly! I appreciate it so much thank you Nic!

I just got my first tattoo yesterday it was such a great experience. Skyler was so great with me and very patient! (I was being dramatic) he took time with me, before i scheduled my tattoo, to show me the shop and how it works and how clean and sterile the shop is! Rex was awesome. Was able to do my 7 deadly sins tattoos in one sitting. Didnt feel a thing through the whole thing. Was really cool kept checking to make sure I was good to continue. Well definitely be coming back for any new tattoos or touch ups needed fully recommend Rex and the whole factory edge crew.
