Went in for the Friday the 13th flash tattoos and they were great! Good designs, fairly priced, lots of artists, and a clean open studio. The staff were super friendly and my artist (Torres) was amazing and so kind! Will definitely be back again!

Wow, wow, wow. So, I must say this is the most amazing tattoo place in Astoria! I walk in, amazing customer service fresh place, they serve you snacks, water, pop etc. The tattoo artist the front introduced me to Colder, very nice sweetest guy! He did my piece so amazingly, and on top of it did not hurt at all! Was very light handed!!, my experience there was 10 out of 10, and will deff be back for more in the future. Thank you guys, for giving me my dream tattoo, it is truly amazing! Thank you so much!

Walked in for a Friday the 13th flash tattoo and extremely impressed with the work! The studio manager was extremely sweet and inviting and got me set up with an artist in less than the anticipated wait time (20mins). I choose a design with thin lines that can easily be botched by someone without the skill or experience. Sofia, the artist that I worked with clearly has the skills! So so happy with the work! Can wait to post a pic when it’s healed up

I came in 2 weeks ago for a small consult with Lee. Made an appt which was super easy and left a deposit. Well I come in for my appointment and I had to change my original idea and design (Not because of the studio. Personal reason). We sat down together and put together a new design for another idea we had. He really listened to what I wanted and gave his input but definitely let me have final say and it didn’t feel forced. It was a great experience overall. Thank you so much!

Came here for my first tattoo, the experience as a whole was 10/10. The entire staff was kind and professional, and the shop was very clean. The artist Zero who tattooed me not only gave me an excellent piece but made the process smooth and enjoyable. (Would highly recommend).

10000/10 experienceeee, came in on a random Thursday just cause, and Lee did such a good job taking care of me and the tattoo i wanted, he was patient and gave me options which I liked and he also fixed up my aftercare bandage, kinda the best. Plus the receptionist was nothing but good vibes and it was nice to banter back and forth to distract me from the little pain 🥹

My friend and I walked in looking for silly matching tattoos. The girl at the front desk was so nice and we were immediately able to sit down with an artist. Le did a great job, listened to our ideas and gave us exactly what we wanted!

I went in for a tattoo and got exactly the story that I wanted depicted on my skin. Carlos was amazing putting all the details together and it came out so on point! Couldn’t be happier with how my every detail was transposed on my skin by his hands! Carlos is an amazing artist with a such a creative eye and stellar work ethic! I have had the pleasure of knowing the team at Inkstinct since February of 2020. I was fortunate enough to live walking distance from the shop for over year. I had the idea for a travel themed half sleeve for the longest time and Carlos was able to make it come to life!! He took photos I took on my travels and was able to translate them into tattoos. When I left New York, I knew there was no one I would trust with my tattoo ideas moving forward. Since moving to California from New York, I have flown to Philadelphia twice and back to New York to take my tattoo ideas and have Carlos bring them to life.For years I had wanted a sports leg sleeve with portraits of those that inspired my love of sports. As anyone looking to get a portrait tattoo knows, quality matters. After 3, all day sessions, I have a calf sleeve that people regularly stop me to compliment or take photos of it. I can visibly see their disappointment when I tell them the artist is located across the country in New York. Most recently I flew out to Philly to entrust them with a portrait of my cat, Thor, that recently passed away. And, like always, I was amazed at the care and attention to detail. Those that had the pleasure of meeting him are blown away with the resemblance.The team at Inkstinct is amazing and I recommend their work to anyone I meet looking to get a tattoo.

Went to finish my sleeve at INKstinct nyc. not only did I leave with a phenomenal piece but the environment is beyond amazing, everyone is extremely friendly and attentive. carlos had done my work and he was extremely efficient with his work making every second count, also accommodated every request exceeding expectations. The workers here are amazing and the artists here are great with their work. My artist was Lee he was amazing to work with and he checked up on me how I was doing through out the session giving me time to recover before continuing his work.

Ive been getting work from Carlos for 4 years at inkstinct. He has tattooed more than 50% of my body and I couldnt be happier with his work. Over the last 4 years I have watched his shop grow into one of the best shops in the city, which I am not surprised. Not only is his work detailed and clean , the shop is always well sanitized and he is constantly upgrading his beds to ensure the most comfort for his clients. To top it all off he has become a good friend, he does his best to work around your schedule and give you appointments that work best for you. Listens to the ideas you have and takes them to a level that you couldnt even imagine. When I was first looking for an artists I searched near and far and couldnt be happier to have made Carlos my artist and to have his work on me for the rest of my life. On many occasions I am stopped in public because people want to know where my work was done because its just that good. If you have any doubt or are looking for a tattoo shop, inkstinct is the place to go.

So first off I’d like to say that Zarima is amazing, the Staff here are super friendly and accommodating to your every need and concern when it comes to tattoos, especially the Owner I do love how she build a good customer relationship.My artist was Zarima, I had an idea for a tattoo and clearly lacked the art skills to bring it out on a physical sketch, Zarima was so attentive and patient with me she sketched an original piece with the greatest attention to every minor detail and feedback we share with each other on the piece.In the end it came out better than I had anticipated with no RAGRETS lol10/10 would recommend this shop for first timers or experienced canvass10/10 customer service10/10 Artist listening and art skills

I have walked pasted this tattoo place so many times because it honestly looks so nice and clean when walking past it. After seeing they were having a flash sale for valentines day I finally came in to get a tattoo and it was a great experience. I was greeted by Blu who was the sweetest thing. She gave me a few books to look for ideas and they fit me in 10 mins after i walked in the door. I was happy to find out my tattoo artist was guest artist from Mexico City and he did such an amazing job I ended up getting 2 tattoos in one trip. They also offered complimentary snacks and drinks, overall great experience. Can’t wait to come back.

I got a tattoo from Andres Martinez, he was a guest artist. My tattoo came out amazing, Im very happy. I will definitely be returning to this shop. It was super clean and a very cool, comfortable environment. The owners were very nice and made sure I was comfortable the whole time. The other artists were amazing too. My visit to this tattoo place was unfortunately marred by a series of disappointments, primarily revolving around their incredibly poor customer service. One of the major issues was the repeated assurance that I would receive a sketch before my scheduled appointment after making a deposit. However, this promise was far from reality, as I found myself waiting a frustrating two hours past my appointment time before laying eyes on the first sketch.During this prolonged wait, the atmosphere in the shop was less than professional. Instead of focusing on client needs, the staff engaged in casual conversations, making the entire experience feel unorganized and unprofessional. This lack of attention and consideration only intensified my growing dissatisfaction.To compound matters, when I finally did get to see the initial sketch, it was not at all in line with what I had envisioned for my tattoo. The miscommunication and deviation from my expectations left me feeling frustrated and disheartened about the entire process.As if these experiences werent enough, I was taken aback by the demand to pay the remaining balance, which was less than 10% of the overall cost, days before the tattoo was even completed. This aggressive approach felt completely unwarranted and unprofessional. The undue pressure to settle the remaining payment or else cast a shadow over what should have been an exciting and positive experience.In summary, the poor customer service, delayed sketches, unprofessional atmosphere, and lastly the threatening demand for payment have left me with an overall negative impression of this tattoo place. After spending over 5k on a tooth implant and hundreds or thousands of dollars for other services (all of which charge customers after rendering a service) should it even be socially acceptable for these shops to ask for payment prior to delivering a service anyway? Either way, I would caution anyone considering their services to carefully weigh the potential frustrations before committing to an appointment.

Everything about INKSTINCT is awesome. Carlos worked with me on the design and drew everything out perfectly took his time stenciling and applying the stencil and my tattoo came out amazing. Snacks and drinks made the uncomfortableness of getting a tattoo as comfortable as possible lol. Can’t wait for my next appointment

This place is amazing! Super welcoming, I brought my dad in for a surprise tattoo for his birthday. They worked with his vision for a tattoo along with many inspo pics for my tattoo. Kevin, my artist, was clean, efficient, and precise. He was able to capture my vision and bring it to life. This was my first time getting a tattoo, they provided aftercare instructions and answered many questions I had. Will definitely be coming back!

One the establishment was beautiful. It was clean, well kept and a pleasure to walk into. My artist was Dayana, and she is a great artist . My wife and I have been to Inkstinct twice now, each time as walk-ins. Both times I was not only impressed by the high quality work done by both Zarmina and Kevin, but the also by the kindness and hospitality of the entire staff. Even my kids had a blast as they were spoiled with cookies and candy. Great location, phenomenal staff and the product speaks for itself! While there for a small wrist tattoo today, I was able to talk to Carlos about my plan for a large tattoo design on the back of my calf.. I have absolutely no doubt that I will be making the appointment to have it done. Inkstinct invested in their business by moving to a new location, creating a great atmosphere with top quality equipment. In return we will certainly invest in them for all our future tattoo needs and refer everyone we know.

I have been one of Carlos’s clients since 2019. He has been very understanding with giving you the tattoo you desire. He’s tattooed both my arms, my entire back and I will continue to go back to him for more. He specializes in black and grey realism tattoos. I have recommended, my brother, multiple friends, and get stopped by people asking where I got my ink from. I am proud to say I’ve stuck with him ever since the beginning and sent so many people his way, well deserved of course to the artist himself. Today on 02-22-2022 I wanted to commemorate the number two with a tattoo that Ive been dreaming of for quite some time. I had to unfortunately work today and because we usually work 12 hour days I lost sight in getting my tattoo, but by some form of miracle I was let go early and the possibility of getting my first tattoo on this special day rushed my mind. I called Inkstinct NYC as I was in awe of Carlos work on Instagram and they went beyond the call of duty to accommodate me and made sure that I was well taken cared of. I was smiling from ear to ear when Carlos shared with me a stencil which was done fairly quickly and with intricate details . He took the time to ask me questions and made sure that I was 100% comfortable and content with the placement and was more than happy to fix the stencil if I wasnt. He understood it was my first time and calmly explained to me the care and if I wanted him to stop that I was more than welcome to. Blue who was behind the counter was so sweet and it felt like Ive known her for years and not just meeting her that day. I had come here on a whim because I’ve been thinking about getting a tattoo for a long time and was around the area. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. I got one behind the ear which is a hard area but I didn’t feel any pain and Kevin was amazing!

Amazing experience with Carlos. He is so patient and makes sure you get exactly what you want. If you want him to change a design he will gladly adjust it until you’re satisfied. I’ve seen Carlos for 4 tattoos including a half sleeve and he is worth every penny. You get the quality you are paying for. You would never expect such a talented artist to be so kind, patient, and humble. I am a mother of an 18 year old son who wanted a tattoo, hearing that in all honesty wasn’t an easy thing. I was worried and upset about so many different things. After doing research and knowing it was something he really wanted and was going to do, we chose the extremely talented Carlos. And wow, my son is so HAPPY and more than SATISFIED. His piece came out PERFECT and the half that is me, as soon as someone sees it knows it’s my eye. The detailing and precision is immaculate. Love Inkstinct for so many reasons! Carlos is super awesome, talented, patient, professional and hard working artist, always puts 100% at his work and end result is incredible. He did my full sleeve and now we are moving on other parts! Weve been working together for a long time smoothly and I feel comfortable sharing my ideas with him. I did some pieces in other studios in Manhattan, but theyre not as open and as enthusiastic about their work as Inkstinct staff has proven themselves so far. The studio is super clean, modern, they are very welcoming and they make you feel like at home. Carlos is usually booked a while in advance, but its definitely worth waiting. Great experience overall, I recommend them to all my friends that want to get some serious, quality ink :)

Ive seen some of his work on social media and was amazed by it, but let me tell you, seeing the artist who is so committed, compassionate, patient, professional and friendly in person is a totally different kind of positive experience. I truly recommend Carlos! Even my mom, who was against me getting a tatoo(Im over 30 btw😅), fell in love with it and told me-its not a tattoo, its a piece of art! The only great artists is Carlos the owner, and even though his work is phenomenal, I wasnt treated with respect and professionalism. There are certain ways to handle a situation, so I will not be spending hundreds of dollars here anymore. Not to mention I brought the shop more clients, and always gave Carlos a tip for his hard work. Also, when you cancel your appointment/s you dont get your deposit back, (I KNOW WEIRD) but keep the 100, I will not be coming back here anymore. THANKS FOR THE AWESOME WORK CARLOS 😂😂

Where do i begin iv been getting tattooed in NYC for the past 20 years iv had good experience and lots of bad ones but never have i had such a great experience like i did in inkstinct. First off carlos is a beast a genius at his craft, he will straight out tell you if that works or doesnt work with youre piece he is very professional very artistic. The receptionist is also very professional and helpful always responded back to my phone calls and emails. She never made a face or felt annoyed at any of my questions(i have had receptionist give me attitude before) The shop is comfortable and full of tattoo art its in the heart of Astoria with plenty of places to eat or have a drink after getting tatted like i did. I got a half sleeve with carlos he added some work to pervious work that I had. He had a cancellation and i was lucky to squeeze in there and then had my actual appointment it was a 5 month wait but TRUST ME WHEN I SAY IT WAS TOTALLY WORTH IT. i would recommend inkstinct to anyone who wants great work in a nice new school environment.

If you are looking to do a cover-up at a fair price Ed Cuellar is the man to see , he is the cover-up specialist. I checked his work thru IG prior to making a consultation and was amazed at the quality and detail of the before and after images from his cover-up work. Very patient and professional.
