Got this awesome little guy from Ethan at Modern Electric (@castlevancleve) and the whole experience, from initial inquiry through healing, was flawless. Easy communication, impeccably clean studio, attention to comfort during the process, clear instructions for aftercare. After I requested this placement, Ethan was very up front about not having done a tattoo in this spot before, but he was able to consult with other artists for advice. Actually one of the less painful tattoos I’ve gotten, and super easy healing.

My first tattoo!! Ethan Van Cleve created a butiful Phenix bird for my forearm, still have to color it in. Ethan is a fantastic artist I cant express my gratitude enough! I felt so comfortable, safe and well cared for in his hands, a beautiful experience!! Looking forward to the coloring in a couple weeks, I highly recommend Ethan, he is so gentle, caring and fun, a truly affirming experience. Im so grateful to have found him!!Bobbi Love

The place is absolutely gorgeous. There is hyper realistic artwork all over the place. Everyone is kind and the store is very queer friendly. I went with my brother twice when he went to go get tattoos and both times were great. Everyone knows what theyre doing the place is very clean and the artwork is impeccable. I would absolutely recommend anyone to get their tattoo here.

I lived coming here! I can to visit the bay and my artist Natasha was so easy to talk to and just made the experience unforgettable. The other artists also enjoy talking with you and actually listen. The environment was really comfortable and I would recommend Natasha and the studio to anyone who wants a meaningful tattoo!
