Wryly Fable is an amazing artist and the line work on my arm gets compliments even before the color has been added. She did the design free hand no stencil. It’s beautiful beyond my expectation. The studio is spacious and spotlessly clean and everyone was kind.

Clean and friendly place (very cool!) with great and professional artists! Lorenzo is working on my tattoo project, and the result is amazing!!! Can’t wait for the next session!!!

I am beyond satisfied with the work Morpheus did. I had an idea of the design I wanted and Morpheus was able to elevate that design beyond what I imagined. This tattoo is important to my spiritual path and they were able to provide a sacred space for getting it done. Morpheus was also very friendly and helpful in explaining the process of getting my first tattoo and the aftercare involved. I also enjoyed the aesthetic and atmosphere of the shop. If and when I get another tattoo, I will definitely go back to Morpheus at Ritual tattoo.

The shop: I’m so glad I found this tattoo shop! What attracted me was the perfect 5 stars overall review, and then visited the shop, and it’s a beautiful hidden gem! The shop is modern, crisp clean, has good natural lighting, and so many beautiful real plants. It does not feel like your typical tattoo shop. I felt so zen and relaxed there.The artist: I worked with Simon Chisum and he’s such a great tattoo artist - patient as I asked all the many questions as it was my first tattoo; collaborative as we worked on creating the right stencil of my idea; and overall kind and provided a great customer experience that it made me feel comfortable and excited about my experience.The experience: Overall the tattoo didn’t hurt and it was such a calm experience, There were a few moments where I felt so relaxed I was ready to fall asleep. Simon has a very gentle technique that I didn’t feel pain at all; even when he would wipe the tattoo it didn’t feel like too much pressure or uncomfortable. And the best part is the line work on the tattoo is perfect! 👌🏻👌🏻Couldn’t it have asked for an overall better experience. A wonderful experience from start to finish. Communicating my design idea and intent, meeting Wryly (the artist) and collaborating on the concept, scheduling and sitting through the appointment - it was all smooth and seamless and left me feeling great about my choice to work with this shop and this incredible artist. Wryly took great care sketching and talking through design decisions and compositions. I couldn’t be happier.

This tattoo shop is wonderful! My partner got a cover up tattoo done by Alper, and he was kind, skilled, and made the whole process a calming experience.The power did go out for the whole street while we were there, but the staff were all prepared and either got on with work or adapted.Overall this place is great, and both of us are definitely coming back to get more pieces done!

I celebrated my bday with a couple of girlfriends as pre-scheduled walk-ins. You can tell the pride taken on the aesthetic and care of their studio. I love the vibe. So many things to call out! Lorenzo was at our service. He did an amazing job on our tattoos! It has been 20+ years since my last (first) tattoo and I plan to come back to add on to the baroque picture frame Lorenzo spent time on with all the details.

I can’t say enough good things about this shop. The Artist’s, the atmosphere and the experience of going in, are amazing. The interior of the shop is a genuine masterpiece, along with all the down to earth people in it, you can’t help but want to hang out there all day.The Artist who did my tattoos, Dylan had such an attention to detail, and in depth understanding of of how the ink interacts with certain parts of your body. He has a genuine passion for the Art that he’s putting on your body, and out in the world for people to see. On top of that he was just an awesome dude to talk to, I was never bored during any of the sessions :)If you want Artist’s with a passion for what they do, to give you tattoo that you’ll love for life, this is the Tattoo shop to come to!11/10 would come here all the time!

I just had the best experience receiving a tattoo from Dylan, he was extremely thoughtful about my design and the entire process. He checked on me often even though I was doing well with pain management, he was constantly trying to be aware of how I was feeling. 100/10 attentiveness, to both my wants and needs with my tattoo and what would flow best on my body. My tattoo took a while but I was perfectly comfortable the entire time and had a great time down to the small talk. Great experience, great atmosphere, amazing artist!! Thank you Ritual tattoo!!

Outstanding experience! The chill vibe, unique decorations and abundant plants make for a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere. The artists and staff were fun, welcoming and professional. Nathan Emory expertly designed and created the tattoo that exceeded my expectations. He was exceptionally easy to work with.

Malvi, a guest artist, did a fabulous tattoo that I couldn’t be prouder of. She was very patient and had the best attention to detail. The studio is impeccably clean and full of interesting things to see. I’m looking forward to my next tattoo there.

I recently got tattooed by Simon Chisum. He did an amazing job! He walked me through the process. Showed me different options he sketched out for what I wanted. He was very patient, made me feel super comfortable. His work speaks for itself. Overall had a great experience & I highly recommend him!The shops atmosphere & decor is a plus very calm and lots of pretty plants.

Matt was awesome and very professional as well as the rest of the Ritual Tattoo family. The atmosphere was very relaxing and made you feel right at home. But let’s talk about the quality of work he did on my forearm. Being my first tattoo I wanted it to be the best and he delivered. The detail of each stroke and shading to the very fine lines of a single needle it was definitely a work of art. I couldn’t have imagined it better. I will definitely come back here again.

Ritual Tattoo was such a great place to get a tattoo. It was very calm and relaxing with low key music. Simon did my tattoo and did such a great job working with me to get the design idea just right. It turned out even better than I had hoped!

Matt is freaking amazing. He somehow listened to my jumbled explantation of what I wanted and created a design far cooler and way more beautiful than I could have ever imagined. Great experience with the artist who helped me. fairly_fable_tattoo and others nearby while I struggled under my first tattoo were professional, clean, helpful, and clearly explained the aftercare process to make sure this lovely design I have been thinking about for over a decade looks its best!

Simon was awesome, and saw me in a short time notice. His design was exactly what I was wanting and he got it done quick. It looks awesome and I would recommend him/ritual Tattoo.

My brother and I had an awesome experience here with Alper. He puts a lot of care and heart into his unique designs and was extremely meticulous and detail-oriented. It was my first tattoo so I appreciated his willingness to answer our endless questions, and his attention and patience was so different from the rushed experiences Ive seen my friends have. Everyone in the shop made sure we were comfortable and happy all day.

Matt is absolutely phenomenal. Wonderful person to work with. He’s very accommodating and meticulous. I really felt like he wanted to be as happy with the final result as I did! Spoiler alert: the tattoo looks great and I’m very happy with my experience!

Cannot say enough about Matt and the rest of the folks at Ritual Tattoo. They/he was great throughout the uncertainty of the lockdowns; taking the safest path and most equitable approach to re-scheduling appointments that can be none months in advance to work with him. Have had two great sessions with Matt, his idea was exactly what I had in my mind but wasnt articulating clearly - very happy with how things worked out. Will absolutely be my go to place in the Bay Area from now on.

I came from California to get my nose pierced by them and I wasn’t disappointed at all. Everything was excellent. ❤️

Recently had a tattoo with Morpheus. She was a great artist, we collaborated on the design, and the appointment was quick and very professional. Space was clean and attractive and I would definitely get ink from there and from her again.

Had a strange experience here. I went to inquire about a tattoo on the side of my middle finger and they refused to consider it. They said the side finger tattoo fades quickly and need regular touch up which is economically a bad situation for them.Who said I won’t pay for touch up… 🤯🤯🤯

I followed Matt here from his former studio, Form8. Im happy to say the great atmosphere at Form8 was carried over here. Just with way more space and decor :)The shop is squeaky clean from top to bottom. Though I have only worked with Matt, given his high standards, Im confident the other artists have the same high standard of hygienic practices. What I mean by that is thoroughly cleaning their station between clients, not reusing gloves, washing hands before putting on fresh gloves...things you have to be mindful of when (consensually) puncturing someones skin! You dont need to be worried about coming out of here with an infection.I have nothing but great things to say about Matt. He has a long wait time for a reason! He has done three of my tattoos. Two of them I have had for a few years and they still look great. (Mind you this is also the responsibility of the client, I always put sunscreen on my tattoos if theyre not going to be protected from the sun for a length of time.) He is so talented and Im so impressed with the variety of techniques he has mastered. Bold blackwork, dot work, fine lines...I cant draw a straight line on paper let alone someones skin! I wish I could get all my tattoos from him, but alas I need to spread the love to other artists.

How can I put in words the artistic capabilities of Matt, the artist I used, to put my vision into my piece. On our phone consultation he asked me a lot of questions pertaining to me and why I’m getting my piece done. He took those derails and the brought the components that I wanted in it and brought my unfinished vision together. I could not be any happier. Thanks Matt!
