9/12/24Have gone in and gotten 2 more tattoos from Drew since original post. Shop is amazing, great waiting room, free water, barber shop is amazing as well ( got my hairs shorn there by Andrew for first time in 25 years, not cutting it myself) Imperial is an amazing resource for ink and barbershop in Burly. Love my time there, they’re my peeps, and many many more years to come.Had my first tattoo from Drew ( squid_tattoo) at the Green Mtn Convention, loved his American Traditional style……got a Crazy Sal from his own flash…his bedside manor was rad…couldn’t get his art outta my mind, went back in today, to their shop and got another one of Drew’s originals….great shop…cool atmosphere, I equate a tattoo experience to my wife going in to get her hair done…chatting about life/loss/love…and all kinds of other banter…..I plan on getting many more from Drew.And.likes the joint so much, going in to gets my hairs cut this coming Saturday, and I’ve cut my own hair for 30 years myself. Rad ass place. I found my people.

Could not have had a better experience!!The Shop:The shop is extremely clean and bright with a nice reception area including a stocked water fridge (so important to hydrate before, during and after your tattoos!!). It is an open concept room, with private tattoo rooms in other areas of the shop for those whose tattoos (or any other reason) need it. The vibes and music were also immaculate.The Artists:Drew is an acquaintance who tattoos some friends and his work is phenomenal. My artist was Symoad, which I will get to in a moment. I dont have any experience with the other artists, but Ive seen their work (beautiful) and everyone was incredibly friendly. Tattoo shops can feel a bit intimidating or pretentious, and there was not an OUNCE of that in this shop. Every artist was friendly, professional, and very easy to chat with.My artist/art:I was fortunate enough that Symoad had time on the books for a friend and I to get a small memorial tattoo each, and then for me to get a larger tattoo on my thigh from her flash, which is the picture in this review.From the get-go, Symoad so, so kind, friendly, and flexible, even down to me having to cancel the third tattoo of the day due to time constraints (Im going back in November for it). The conversation ranged from life things, to funny stories, and anything in between. The appointment felt easy and relaxed. I never felt forced into having a conversation, or into silence. Everything just flowed so comfortably.Symoad has a really gentle hand, and regularly checked in to see how I was doing. The art speaks for itself, I could not be more in love with this new piece. Im particularly impressed with the shading. Just amazing all in all. I am so thrilled that a couple of tattoos on a whim has turned into an artist I feel I can trust with any art Id like going forward. I will happily make the trip back up to Burlington a couple times a year to get some more work done.I highly suggest running, not walking, to get on Symoads books before they completely fill. However, youd be fortunate to be tattooed by any of the artists there!Thank you so much to the entire shop!! Cant wait to see yall again.

I’ve been coming to BigBoy for 4 years now. The work he delivers is exactly what I ask for. I’ve never had to have a touch up on ANY. I’ve been tattoo by Chyna and Big and highly recommend them both. For the other artist their work looks phenomenal as well but never had the chance to work with them. This photo is 4 years later of what Big (Jamie) did & how well it healed.

Walked in… within two hours we were all set and LOVED our tattoos! we did fine line tattoos with no color! highly recommend! the studio was so clean and the artists were highly knowledgeable and friendly!

I had a great experience at Imperial Tattoo. I was a walk-in and nervous and Tatum was kind and patient. She also did a fabulous job with my arm band and I love it so much! I’ll have to get another one with her next time I am in Burlington :-)

Got a tattoo with my partner here, the tattoos were done by Drew, @squidtattoos ! I loved the place and the experience and of course our tattoos! From what we saw each tattoo artist there was highly skilled and created wonderful pieces of art! Also gotta shoutout Gorda, she really made the experience even better!

Got my first tattoo done here, the place was clean, and professional. Everyone was kind and my artist Chris did a phenomenal job. Everyone in there seemed very happy and upbeat. I highly recommend Imperial if you are looking for a tattoo. 10/10 experience.

We called before hand asking about walk-ins and they told us it would be 30 mins and to head over. we ended up waiting over 2 hours while artists just walked passed us with absolutely no acknowledgment but we were still in good spirits. When they finally did let us in the back (keep in mind there is no front desk) the artist was very rude and uninterested the entire time. She didn’t quote us until she was done and stated it would be $100 for said tattoo and it was cash only so so my sister ended up going to get cash for us while i was told to wait there. (there is no sign anywhere stating that it is cash only and we were not told prior) I’ll insert a picture of the tattoo below. Overall i don’t feel the tattoo was worth $100 but that aside it has only been close to a month and this is how my tattoo looks now. Also keep in mind i have several other tattoo from other artists which never faded so quickly especially with proper aftercare not to mention the expensive price for a piece the size of a quarter. My sister got a very similar tattoo and hers has also faded just as much. I have never had such a poor experience for such mediocre work.

Came here for a walk in and the apprentice Tatum did a fantastic job! She cared a lot about the details and accuracy of the simple design which as a long-time tattoo collector, meant a lot. Comfortable shop, great camaraderie amongst the artists, super convenient location. Highly recommend to anyone in the area!!

PSA: lads and gents, Imperial Tattoo Company exceeded my expectations and set the bar extremely high. Walked in with a hideous scar and ASIA gave me a since of confidence again. Thank you. The staff was very friendly, knowledgeable, and artistic. Not to mention the parlor was very clean and the vibe was on point. I would HIGHLY recommend Imperial for all of your tattoo needs. And they have barbers (how cool is that) now what better way to accent your tattoo than with a fresh haircut to match. I will definitely return for more ink in the future. BIG PROPS to Imperial Tattoo Company you ALL rock.

Absolutely adore everybody here. Drew has done the cast majority of work on my body, I cannot speak his praises highly enough. Imperial is respectful, consistent, professional, and simply put out some of the best ink in Burlington. Stop in, it feels like youre part of a family.

I was in Burlington for a day trip and walked in to see if they had any cancellations/availability that day (Sunday). Asia was able to fit me in about an hour later! This was my first tattoo so I was a bit nervous but she was so calming, gentle and made the whole experience amazing. I was looking for fine line floral work and she delivered. The other staff were also very friendly as well. The shop was very clean and I was vibin’ the whole time while doing deep meditation breathing (: I highly recommend Asia and this shop for all your tattoo/piercing needs.

I love Imperial! One of the best shops in town, clean, professional, and high quality work. Have gotten a few pieces now from Adriana - she is professional, attentive to detail, and a very talented artist to boot. Highly recommend!

The man who runs this place is hands down one of the best tattoo artists you are going to find in VT. hes a professional with 20+ years of experience and has mastered the craft. I have gotten over 20 tattoos from him now. Do yourself a favor and get a tattoo from Big

I went in there as a walk in with a simple design and everyone was reasonably nice, but I left with a tattoo that was not outlined correctly and was sloppy, leaving this week and cannot go in to get it redone in 3 weeks, so now have to go to a different place that will correct the mistake. Do not recommend this place for a tattoo.
