Alisha is awesome. She has a custom list of people she sends last minute cancellations/openings to and I was able to sneak in for a little fixup/small coverup on the top edge of a tattoo done by another artist without consent, and I feel so much better in my skin now. She has a tv set up for you to watch Netflix or hulu (as she likes to focus on her work), and her space is clean and inviting. The healing process has gone/is going incredibly smoothly. Definitely worth getting in her books for some quality work!I showed up a little late....dont do that (and if you do, please tell her)!! If you need to you can park at Dunkin, and its not the building with the dentist in it, its the building on the other side of Dunkin facing Shelburne road...pretty easy to figure out!

I got two cartilage piercings done by Haley a couple weeks ago! Im so happy with how they came out, and theyre healing nicely so far.I was able to walk in and get service right away, and she was so kind and friendly. She even showed me a few options for jewelry that fit my style, and they were very affordable. My kind of body art shop! I highly recommend checking them out!

On the anniversary of me and my wife’s baby’s passing we went to see Dustin at Onyx Ink, and he was amazing. I have no tattoos but this was my wife’s 4th, and as I’m writing this she’s on the phone saying “any future ink, that’s where I’m going”, so it seems she too is happy. He even came in on his day off, maybe due to the baby’s passing, and only charged is the lower end of his quote. Also it was early and I’m a grump in the morning, and the leather couch was amaaaaazing and I straight up passed out for the whole 3 hours. My wife is also sort of skittish around strangers, esp men due to some past trauma, and she is told me she was incredibly comfortable with Dustin. Very professional and kind. 6 stars outta 5 sir - thank you!

Brilliant artists, great atmosphere! The artists at this shop have done work on most of my friends and family, every time has been perfection! Love my Spikey Boi so much! He’s healed beautifully.

Dustin is amazing! I had such a great experience getting my first tattoo ever here. The studio itself is a really neat place, and very sanitary. I felt super comfortable the whole time, and Dustin was incredible to work with. He went above and beyond with drawing out my custom tattoo and making sure it fit my arm perfectly and that I liked the positioning. He was also great to talk to, and just made the whole appointment so fun and relaxing. Will definitely be coming back!

Haley is amazing!! I’ve gotten my nose pierced here & came back for a cartilage ear piercing. My nose healed beautifully and I couldn’t have asked for better. Haley is quick, professional, and always does an amazing job. The studio itself is clean, well lit, and has an awesome interior. I will absolutely keep coming back for all my piercing needs. This place is awesome!

I never leave google reviews… in fact this is actually my first, and I couldn’t be more glad to do so.If you are looking for a professional to design, create, and execute on any of your tattoo ideas / plans then this is the place you need to be.I was hesitant at first but after yesterday I will say this place exceeded all expectations.You can tell all the staff there are friends / family, and they made me feel right at home.Dusty Wilbur did my tattoo for me yesterday and let me just tell you how amazing the experience was.He was helpful, friendly, and very thorough. Someone who is obsessed with his craft and made sure to see things all the way through and how I will always want an artist to be if they plan on putting a needle to my skin. Communication and conversation was unbelievable (Came in at 10am and did not leave until 8pm) and I found that time had so easily passed.I never found myself to be uncomfortable, not even once.I am covered in tattoos but Dustin single handedly created what is now my new favorite piece.He is a true artist no doubt.That being said I had a strong sense and feeling that all the staff there have this vibe to them. I was able to peek in on other artists working when we took little breaks and I can honestly say if I were to go to any other artist that works at Onyx I would not be disappointed and neither would you. Worked with Alisha for my stunning foxglove tattoo. She delivered exactly what I was looking for and better than I could have imagined. She made me feel extremely comfortable about asking for little tweaks to the design before the tattooing started and nestled it in perfectly amongst my existing tattoos. It looks crisp and clean and it’s obvious why there was a wait to get in an appointment! Well worth it! The tattoo is exactly what I was looking for and I can’t recommend her enough. I also had a my first piercing done with Haley and she really put me at ease! The whole process was quick, friendly, and professional! I felt incredibly comfortable at Onyx and the piercings are super even and healing great! You couldn’t find a better shop in Burlington for your piercing or tattoo needs! From what I’ve seen, every artist on the staff creates fantastic work so you can’t go wrong!

Very thrilled with my first tattoo by Karla. She was welcoming, flexible with a semi-weird ask (I have a nickel allergy and I researched the ink beforehand), gentle, patient, and all around great. Onyx itself was safe, clean, and welcoming. Already scheming for my next one by her!

Edit: olive promised free touch ups if I reached out within the year. I reached out 10 months after the tattoo for a quick touch up and she ignored several correspondences. I brought my own design to olive and she was really amazing, helped me edit it and pick a good size and placement and finished it really fast. It’s two months later and it’s healing really well, her line work is just amazing. It’s a simple and small tattoo but it’s very clear that she’s an accomplished artist and very good at what she does. Also, the studio has great vibes, it’s really private, awesome tunes playing; just overall a really great experience and a lovely person.

The professionals at Onyx are focused and take their work seriously because they are true artists with a lot of integrity. They took the best care of me when I was tattooed recently and made me feel completely welcome during what is one of life’s most personal experiences. Everything was so clean and comfortable. After care is a breeze because these artists know their stuff and set all customers up for success with helpful tips and tools. I would HIGHLY recommend Onyx to anyone who takes their body art seriously and appreciates a comfortable experience from the moment they walk in the door. :-)

Onyx is honestly a great place to get a tattoo and I am very happy with the 1 I got there. My only complaint is that I have tried to get 3 tattoos done there and they have only done 1. On to of that, the last request that I made was just completed ignored as I didn’t even get a courtesy email saying they couldn’t do it after 3 months. If you can get in I would recommend the shop but good luck.

I have a very low pain tolerance but decided I would get a cartilage piercing with my good friend. I went to Haley and she made the whole process so wonderful. She was calm, talked me through the process and listened ti me ramble on. When she did the piercing I genuinely thought she was kidding when she said the piercing was done because it didn’t hurt that bad at all. On top of that, the place was clean, sanitary and safe especially regarding Covid. I would recommend Onyx and Haley to anyone!!!

Alisha is such a talented artist - i have had 5 or so appointments with her over the past few years and have always had a really great experience.If your looking for a tattoo or piercing, Onyx should be your first choice - their Instagram is a great portfolio! So, the location is great, people great, piercing went fine....my problem actually came after . Just a heads up for others getting pierced and maybe something the business could take it to consideration: if the piercing jewelry gets tugged even a little from the back, its enough pressure to pull the head of the piercing jewelry through the healing canal. And because it is a jewelry head it will also tear right through and cause bleeding. Had to unfortunately tug the stud through the back of the piercing, take the jewelry apart, and repush it through. So my healing is probably going to be a little messed up. I would definitely suggest not to use the default studs. I would even suggest the company looking into slight larger stud heads as well. I do feel that if it had been larger it would have stopped the jewelry and prevented it ripping through the healing piercing. (More info: this happened starting my fifth week post piercing. There was zero swelling at the time. The back simply got caught and ripped the entirety of the stud through the piercing leaving only the head stuck inside the canal at the rear of the lobe piercing. I stand by suggesting a slightly larger variation of the stud heads to the company for the future.)

Ive been to Onyx Ink for 3 tattoos and have had the pleasure of being tattood by Nicole and Olive.As someone with a lot of general anxiety, this studio is incredibly welcoming. As a women I love that this is a woman led studio and personally feel more comfortable being worked on by other women. Highly recommend, they are all talented and take cleanliness very seriously.They value consent as well and make sure that you are comfortable with everything going on.I plan on getting any and all future tattoos here.

Had my first tattoo appointment recently, and while I admit to having no basis of comparison, I was very impressed.A comfortable little studio with talented artists. Lauren was mine, and she explained the whole process to me very clearly. Once I decide on a second, Ill be back.

It is an absolutely wonderful set up. It is bright, colorful, welcoming, and happy! Very aestheticly pleasing, and staffed by truly unique, artistically talented people. Two of my children had piercings done that day, and both were done with great care, and expertise. Every detail was discussed from placement, to after care. We couldnt be more pleased, and plan on returning.

Went in for a piercing and couldn’t be happier. I don’t do great with needles but love piercing...so I’m always nervous about the piercers skill. Haley Z was amazing and so supportive and helpful. Don’t let her young looks fool you, she’s super smooth! Would go again!!

Went in a few months ago to get my nose ring swapped out for gold and a tragus piercing. All went smoothly with the piercing- Hayley was great!- but I realized a few days later that the nose ring that had been put in was a little too small. My timing was not the best as they were out of stock of the larger size hoop and their jeweler was backed up with the holidays and a shop renovation. I emailed back and forth with Alisha and she made sure to let me know as soon as the hoops were back in stock. I went in today and had it swapped out for the larger size and couldnt be happier. This shop does great work and will do their best to make sure youre happy with the end result!

Nicole was great! Amazing artist and very professional. All communication was very clear and she was very patient with all my ideas. The studio was very clean and comfortable as well! Was offered a drink from the fridge and a small snack too. I am already planning my next piece of art and will definitely book Nicole again. 100% recommend Onyx Ink!

I made an appointment for a jewelry change after 5 year of the same nose ring! Staff helped me to determine which size nose ring was right for me and when they didn’t have my sizing in stock, fit me in for another appointment that day with a piece of jewelry I brought. Super friendly and accommodating! Very happy with the experience.

I LOVE ONYX!! Hayley is always so sweet, open, and fast with piercings, jewelry, and just general information! Plus, they’re always doing flash fundraisers - I got a super sweet lil tat that healed perfectly and quickly and took maybe 15 minutes. They definitely got a client for life!!

Great spot! Walked in to get a different size and color lip ring. She put it in with ease, and let me try a couple sizes. I was already pierced and healed so it was $10. Can’t wait to go there again for maybe a tattoo.

Onxy helped me with a cover up. I had this stupid tattoo that I got on my 18th birthday and they transformed it into a work of art with no evidence of my 18 year old self. They also helped finish a tattoo done years ago and that one is also beautiful.

I went to Onyx for a septum piercing. I had read the reviews and asked friends who I know have been there. It all seemed good. So I went in with my friend and they pierced my septum. Once they handed me the mirror, I asked them to close the barbell a little more. When they handed the mirror back it looked crooked. I asked about it but I was told it could be due to swelling. I said ok paid and left. However, I was nervous and anxious about it being pierced crooked. So, I did some research online (found out that it should look straight immediately after piercing and that swelling and crookedness come later), I also contacted a piercer I had been to before for a second opinion and he said it was a crooked septum. After that, I got in to have the septum removed. They were really nice about it, removed it with no charge, and offered a refund, I didnt even have to ask. The piercer was very sorry.Now, this place has gotten good reviews, plus I have seen correctly done piercings on my friends from this place. Perhaps what happened to me was a fluke, but nonetheless, my piercing was crooked. Go here for a septum piercing at your own risk.

Super happy with the armband tattoo that Olive gave me! Went to another popular tattoo shop in town first and they clearly didnt know what they were doing, but Olive was great, highly recommend!
