I’m very pleased with my new tattoo! Jonathan was very attentive to what I wanted and worked hard to meet my expectations. I also wanted to commend Litzh for letting me know color was not her specialty when I first reached out; she went the extra mile to give me recs which led me to Jonathan, and he did not disappoint. Highly recommend!

First time coming here and was amazingly surprised! The place is really cool and everyone is really nice. I got my butterfly tattoo covered/fixed that I got somewhere else a few years back, and as you can see the better version is on a whole other level. Santiago is highly skilled, detail oriented and has great communication. I love how my tattoo turned out!! I highly recommend!!!

Went in with my partner recently to get pierced together and saw Rossmery. She did an excellent job on both of us and was professional and friendly, and the shop and room we got pierced in were nice and clean. My partner got his nostril pierced, and I got my helix done. I have a history of difficult to heal sensitive skin, and Rossmery has resolved my piercing issues each time i have gone to her. she has saved my piercings when i felt like i needed to take them out because they wouldnt heal properly even when i try everything on my own to heal the piercings for months. wonderful and sweet lady and knows exactly what shes doing

My boyfriend & I stopped in yesterday during our final day of our Chicago trip to get matching Pearl Jam stick man tattoos on opposite ankles. Our artist was Irvin and he did an absolutely phenomenal job. He was also super kind and respectful towards us both. I love this place! It’s my go to shop for piercings. I got my nose pierced by Rosemary & she’s amazing. I’ve gotten pierced by her when I was 19 (I’m 26 now) and I’m always recommending her because she makes the process so fast and she’s very comforting. My piercing did not hurt at all. I also had a tattoo done by Marcelo months back and he was also very nice and my tattoo came out perfect. This is the only place I will go to.

Everyone was so incredibly friendly and helpful. I took my two minor daughters here for helix and upper lobe piercings. Jack (sorry if I spelled it incorrectly) at the front desk was awesome; made us feel very welcomed. Elizabeth, the piercer, was patient, professional, and all around great. I also had the pleasure of getting a quick, simple tattoo from Mauro during our visit.Overall I would highly recommend this shop.

I got pierced by Karen at a tattoo convention in march. I wasn’t going to write a review because I’m not like that, but I realized I couldn’t find my wallet after (somebody else paid for it). Turns out I left it there, nothing important was in it. Got a package in the mail yesterday and it was my wallet! They used my ID to send it to me. In my opinion, those are such good morals. I was genuinely worried for a while but got a new ID and debit card. I recommend Chicago ink because not only is my rook piercing healing beautifully, they are good and honest people.

Karen was amazing! Came to get my 2nd piercing here and she was so kind, gentle, and caring. Loved the experience and will come back for more !

I just had gauge appropriate earrings (00) inserted by the piercing tech at the location on Irving Park. Very clean facility, good selection of ear jewelry, and experienced tech. I would highly recommend this shop.

Choose here!!! Elizabeth and the guy at the front desk, made my visit from North Dakota ! Myself, my mom, my daughter , and my little sister , decided to get our noses pierced! This is a really nice and SUPER CLEAN place. So many tattoo artist to choose from and the piercing department is very fast and helpful. Irving Park location is definitely a must see in person. Very covid-19 safe with sanitizer dispenser all over.

My sister and I came here for her 16th birthday. My sister got an industrial and I got my nose pierced. Elizabeth walked us through the whole process, answered every question we had, and was an absolute rockstar. We are both already planning our next visit. :)

All of the titanium jewelry and the jewelry I was shown for piercings is low quality. I thought because this shop does piercings that it would be better quality than Hot Topic, but it is not. I had the barbell I purchased switched out and it was disgusting compared to the barbell I purchased from a reputable jewelry store.This store is not APP (Association of Professional Piercers) certified. I will never buy jewelry from this store again. It is important to find a store that is APP certified, the jewelry will be implant quality.

I took my 1 year old baby to get her ears repierced here. The first piercer from a tatoo shop in oak park completely messed up her piercings on both ears! I let my babys ears heal and we were lucky to meet Rosemary. Rosemary repierced my babys ears and both ears look great and are healing nicely. She is very sweet and very experienced. My babies piercings look great and Im more than happy to recommend her to anyone for piercings. Im very happy with the experience and service.

Mercy was awesome to work with! We were originally assigned a different tattoo artist that rubbed us the wrong way, were glad we asked for someone else and thank God it was Mercy! Her lines were prestine and precise. She did exactly what we wanted, gave her input but ultimately made sure her customers were happy. We were not disappointed at all. I would absolutely recommend her 100%!

So I have to start with how we ended up here.. Saturday, March 20th 2021.. My best friend and I went to our local gas station, filled the tank up and randomly decided to pick a direction and just drive. We went north and landed in Chicago. Which, weve been trying to go explore for a few years. I was determined to get a tattoo and found this place. I was instantly flabbergasted by the tattoo shop. Its clean, soo much to look at, they have an impeccable variety of body piercings! The artists art is shown on their individual tv screens by their room. I couldnt stop watching, the art is beyond impressive.. and, the artists have paintings they have painted in their room as well. Note: Dont bother asking, they wont sell them. Lol. Just appreciate it. We were able to walk in, masks on, filled out paperwork and talked with a walk-in artist. Make sure you have an ID! Of course, if you want a bigger, more detailed tattoo, you will have to book an appointment. You can pay with cash or credit/debit. I recommend Alan, Chris and/or Carlos, but everyones style is different. The staff and service was cool, easy to get along with will listen to your tattoo ideas and then some. Awesome people in the entire shop and can not wait to go back! Its well worth the 4 hour drive to get insanely awesome work done! My piercer was Windy. She was very nice and reassuring. The process was also quick and efficient for a belly piercing. Will be coming back to get my ears pierced :).

3/5 Tattoo, 1/5 BusinessThey wanted to charge $150 for this tattoo (the art of which we provided) per person for 3 people. We asked if he would do $350 for all of us (~$117) per person, which is still overpriced.But we wanted it, and it fit into our schedule, so we went with it. But after I got the first of the batch, we noticed the line work wasnt great (which is the entirety of tattoo).We decided to go somewhere else for the other two. They increased the price for just one back to $150. I decided not to fight it and just pay.I can not recommend this place regardless of if they can do better work. I have many other tattoos, some cheap and some expensive, but I have never felt ripped off by a tattoo shop until today.

Love this place. Tattoo was done extremely skillfully. Piercings Ive gotten were all clean and heal well. Most recent piercing done by someone who seemed a little new since she was really rushing and the result is very crooked and does not line up with the existing piercing. Still done cleanly and placed well from the front, healing well. I do plan to go back in the future but Ill be sure to be a little cautious with the piercer

Was looking to get a daith piercing and randomly chose this location. Upon entering this place looks real nice and clean. Staff is friendly and that’s a big plus in my book. Was pleasantly surprised when I saw a familiar friendly face. Rossmery had done my very first piercing YEARS ago as a teen. Same smile same wonderful customer service. She was so gentle I didn’t even feel the needle go in. Will definitely be coming back for future piercings.Only con is jewelery is WAY overpriced. Waited to purchase my 14 k gold daith earring elsewhere and my pockets are EXTREMELY glad I did. I recommend you shop around for jewelry Almost 3 times the price at this location.

The worst tattoo I’ve ever received. Came off after 1 week (same thing happened to the rest of the people who got the same tattoo).They also charge $160 for this at the end and according to my research small finger tattoos should cost half that.

I had such a wonderful experience at this shop. Went in for a piercing with Rossmery, she was so kind and made me feel comfortable. I’m so happy with my piercing, highly recommend this shop.

My friend and i wanted to get tattoos while in chicago - all very small in size … before beginning, i talked to my artist and told him that i wanted three tattoos and i explained my ideas, he told me “that will be $150” and honestly i thought that was a very good price … we had finished the first tattoo and he did a beautiful job and was very helpful with font, size, placement … however after the first tattoo he had told me that we were all done and proceeded to charge the $150 without the other two tattoos … my friend had also had a similar experience with her artistdon’t get me wrong, they do amazing work .. but i can’t tell if they were trying to get us into paying more for our other tattoos that we wanted or if they just didn’t want to do the tattoos and didn’t communicate … either way the pricing was wayyyyy too much for what we were wanting

Clean environment very friendly with customers and reasonably priced. Ms. Rossmery did my surface tragus piercing and shes a sweetheart. Would recommend to anyone wanting a piercing or tattoo. Plus you can buy jewelry there.

I cannot express how incredible this experience was! From the moment I walked in up until checkout everyone was super friendly and made me feel comfortable. I have not been pierced in over 35 years.Elizabeth my piercer was amazing.I was so nervous but she make me feel comfortable and relax. She did my sons Lobes piercing she made is so easy to both of us. I highly recommended this Chicago Ink and Body Piercing they are very professional. I will definitely come back to do more piercing and maybe Tattoo as well.

I LOVE Rossmery, I’ve been going to her since 2019 and she never disappoints! Brought in my sister two weeks ago for her nose piercing and got mine done as well. Rossmery was super sweet and very reassuring, always a good experience with her!

I got my nose pierced by Karen at the Chicago Tattoo Convention in Rosemont and she did a great job. Appreciated her and the others taking care of me when I felt a little lightheaded after getting the piercing. Would definitely go back to this shop in the future.

DONT GO TO THIS PLACE. I’m writing this review the minute I got out of the store. My boyfriend was getting a 3 word tattoo on his inner bicep. He had spoke with the so called “tattoo artist” Daniella, and the first thing he had asked her on instagram was about the price of the tattoo. She said that the total will be around 150-200$. He had to pay $100 deposit for the appointment which would be deducted from the final price. and SHE specifically said that he would need to pay around 50-100$ at the store, so again in total the whole thing would be 150-200$. We go there we try the different stencils and he ended up choosing the biggest one but Daniella NEVER mentioned ANYTHING about the price changing. The tattoo took more than 2 hours. We go up to the register to pay and they informed us that we needed to pay $200 MORE so $300 in total. We were confused and the woman in the register had to call Daniela to come and explain why the price had gone up without us knowing. She said that my boyfriend ended up getting a tattoo bigger than what he had initially asked for. WHICH IS A LIE. He had just sent her a picture of the font the words would have and a particular size was not mentioned from either Daniella or my boyfriend. So her excuse was irrelevant! The woman in the register casually said to Danielle that she should inform customers about prices changing as the tattoo stencil gets bigger and that was it. Didn’t ever hear an apology . I don’t understand how this place is considered professional cause this behaviour was the most unprofessional behaviour I have ever seen in a tattoo place. Like , your tattoo artists don’t know that you need to inform people about prices going up ???????? Unacceptable, we should’ve not paid the price they asked for but we didn’t want to get down to their level.

Went in for a spooky little kitty. Receptionist was very nice and fast at attending me and my brother. The wait time wasn’t at all long for being a walk-in. The tattoo artist was very nice as well very informative about the placement. So far I have gotten all my tattoos here. I love this place.

Near the beginning of December of last year. My boyfriend and I came here. He got his first ever piercing done here! He got a side nostril(which he’s planning to switch to a hoop ring soon), and I got a septum.We got it done with Rosemary!She was very kind, and knowledgable.My septum piercing did not hurt at all when she did it! Didn’t feel the needle or anything!Gonna come back here with my boyfriend again, so he can switch his jewelry out, and I can get a belly button piercing this time. ☺️

Got a nostril piercing and lobe piercings done by Elizabeth back in August. Elizabeth was awesome and super helpful when I asked questions, and Ive had no issues with my piercings! The place was also super clean, the employees were really friendly. I would definitely come back here again!

I been going to Rossmery for years even back in the mega mall days lol. Ive had almost all of my piercings done by Rossmery and every single one of them have been amazing! Rossmery is the absolute best piercer Ive had and I adore her work. Ive never felt so comfortable with a piercer the way I do with her and I never plan to change piercer.

This is hands down the best tattoo shop Ive ever been to. Everyone is very friendly and the service is fantastic. Its impeccably clean, well lit, and very well laid out with private space. Nestor did an awesome watercolor autism puzzle piece tattoo for me, and he really nailed it. Libby did two pieces for my wife and she could not be happier as well. Everyone took there time without any rushing. The quality of everyones art here is incredible. They have artists for any style you might be looking for. I would recommend it to everyone.

Worked with Andres on a memorial piece for my sweet Rosie dog, he communicated often and made sure the piece was exactly as I expected and worked late into the evening to finish the tattoo - I even got lightheaded and he jumped up and bought me a coke. Great experience with the artist and the shop is without a doubt the nicest, cleanest and most professional tattoo spot I’ve ever visited. Highly recommend.

I got my septum and a second lobe piercing done by Windy back in...September, i think? i wanted to wait until my piercings were healed before leaving a review, but i can now definitively say that she did an absolute fantastic job.i 1000% involuntarily jerked my head back during the septum piercing, but my piercing is still straight and looks great :) Windy has a lot of skill, and she was also very helpful in answering some brief questions i had about taking care of my piercings. i did not feel like she would have treated any question i asked as a dumb question. i did not run into any issues with the healing process, either.outside of the actual piercings, i was a walk in appointment and was seen VERY quickly. ymmv on that, but i found the intake efficient and the front desk person friendly.highly recommend!

Let me start off by saying, it was very hard to find a place that does baby earlobe piercings. I dont trust one of those mall places. My daughter is 3 months old and I am very satisfied with my babys outcome. Windy the lady that did babys piercing was great and took her time to do placement. I would definitely be back.

I had a fun experience in October getting my first piercing (a nostril) with Karen. She made it quick and easy and gave me everything I needed to take care of it. I would definitely come back for another.

I went here for a big tattoo it was my upper arm and Ruben nailed it. Each day I love it more and more. I was skeptical at first that someone could tattoo my dogs face and was originally just going to incorporate my dogs, dog tag. After seeing his work and talking more with Ruben, he gave me the confidence he could do it and he did it perfectly. I will gladly go back to him for his professional artwork. I had my first session of lip blushing done with Bridget. The staff at the entrance are welcoming and friendly. Bridget and Milly, the artists for permanent make-up are highly skilled in their technique and also very personable/fun. Because of that, your session will not feel like time is dragging, and all anxiety disappeared. I have a follow-up appointment soon, and the healing process is currently going well. Ill update again after the entire process :).I do highly recommend them, and I trust them. I love how they do lip blushing to add a hint of color, a couple of places turned me down saying my lips arent in need of help (which I already knew, my goal was to simply add color to my lips without changing the shape, which Bridget was able to do flawlessly). Lastly, if youre driving, there is street parking, which is abundant depending on the time of your appointment.

I went to get my nose pierced, and the shop is so clean, very organized. The workers are friendly and they take care of you right away. The young lady who pierced my nose was professional. I would recommend this place.

I got my angel fangs done here by Elizabeth. She made sure I was comfortable and didn’t surprise me. Her advice to take a deep breath really helped and my piercings are perfectly symmetrical. I’m definitely coming back, and I recommended it to my uber driver!

My hubby and I are on a road trip and I had a migraine set in. It took about an hour for me to realize that my 2 week old daith piercing had fallen out.In a Panic, in the middle of Indiana (heading north), I started researching and remembered hearing AMAZING things about Chicago Ink. I called and they told me to come in as we drove through and they would take care of me. They did not lie.They could have just sanitized and stuck a little ring back in there for me. Instead they helped to educate me about my choices of ring vs bar - and Guage sizes and what that meant for my long term healing. I was so impressed that I had them re-pierce my second lobe piercing too. Their facility is SO clean and professional. Immaculate.I will be back. 100%. And cannot recommend them enough.

2 o f my daughters, my oldest granddaughter, and I came here for nose piercings. Elizabeth performed them on all four of us. She was amazingly patient, professional, and kind. 2 of us returned for jewelry change. Elizabeth was there and did them for us. As before, I was the nervous one. But she made it seem like the easiest thing ever. We saw people leaving with fresh tattoos. They always seemed pleased...all smiles. This shop is clean. The people who work here are knowledgeable and professional. When you go there, youll definitely be in good hands.

Disappointed - Around 6 months ago took our daughter to this shop to get her ears pierced. We brought her there because we had heard that places that use a gun are not as clean. So before bringing her there we called and confirmed it would not be a gun. I was told needles would be used. They used a gun to do her ears, not what they told us on the phone. We also asked what the metal composition the earrings would be because we were afraid of issues with metal allergies. (My wife has issues with many types of metal earrings) We were told surgical steel would be used. When we got there they asked us to pick earrings, we stated we needed surgical steel like were told on the phone would be used. So fast forward - our daughters ears were not healing 100%, we figured there must be some impurity causing the long heal time. So we ordered some 24K gold plated earrings to try that since we were under the impression the starters she had were surgical steel, well the ones we removed were gold and I cannot find any gold colored surgical steel. So odds are her healing issues were due to impurities in the metal they used. So based on our experience I cant recommend this place.2 key items we tried to account for were not what we were told. We went here (and paid more) over the local mall because we thought we would get a different experience. Not the case. I do have to say that everyone we dealt with was very friendly and professional. And that the place was clean. Attached is a photo of the earrings we purchased that we were told were surgical steel.

Got my helix + conch piercings here! placement is immaculate and healing process was also SMOOTH- literally little to no issues. conch i had 0 infection problems. the place is large and clean as well I really want to come backupdate: came back a 2nd time after 2 years. walk-in no reservation piercing. was in and out in 10 minutes. painless, quick, reasonable prices! this is my new go-to!I also love how the piercing prices come WITH jewelry (standard silver or jewel ones of perfect size) which isnt really standard at a lot of the places in the city so bonus points for this.

I never got around to writing a review as I got my helix double pierced here in 2019. Everyone was very nice and the shop was clean, however the piercings were done incorrectly and never healed properly. I visited the shop multiple times after during the healing process for suggestions and all they did was replace the jewelry every time I went, so I eventually stopped going and tried to let it heal on its own. I eventually went to a different piercing shop for an opinion and was told that my helix piercings were not pierced properly, and that the holes lined up for what should have been an industrial piercing because my helix piercing holes were both placed incorrectly so I took them both out to be done with them. I do know others who have gotten piercings here before and they turned out fine, and the second shop I went to was shocked of the quality of the piercings I received when I mentioned I got them here due to Chicago Ink Tattoo & Body Piercings good reputation. Customer service wise, I enjoyed the experience. However, I dont think Id ever go back for a piercing.

I reached out to an artist privately and was able to get an appointment within a few days. I was really impressed with the shop set up. It’s very clean and efficiently run. Each artist has their own private booth. It made me feel really comfortable. My artist Adonis was great. He really listened to what I wanted and I got something even better than what I expected. I’ll definitely be going back.

I came across this shop while looking for a place with talented artists in the Chicago area.I decided to work with Pablo, setting up the appointment was easy and quick, the process of creating the piece was seamless as well. Pablo did an amazing job and I could not be happier with how my tattoo turned out. This shop is full of great artists and I cannot recommend it enough. From small lettering to covering your whole back, this is the place to get great work done.

Today I got my third Tattoo today by the same artist Ruben.. The environment is clean and their are super friendly. I love it.! The artist make you feel comfortable and you know they care. Love, love, love my new tattoo created and inked by Ruben Aguayo! I highly recommend him. He is extremely personable, relatable and professional. He does AWESOME work! The shop is clean and well maintained. I am truly pleased and will be back soon!Late, late, late update!The second photo is of my second tattoo, also brilliantly done by Ruben Aguayo in December 2018! Last I knew in 2018, he was a very, very booked artist (due to his position within the company and his awesome work!), so getting in with him can be a short moment, but I highly recommend him. I sent him one of the two masks that I desired and he created the other one himself. He also came up with how the different images should be placed, for flow, I simply sent him the images. The second tattoo was a gift to myself for graduating with my theatrical/music degree from UIC, in December 2018. Ill have a hard time trusting others to give me the satisfaction that I have regarding my tattoos.

Great experience, from the minute I reached out to Libby to discuss the idea for my tattoo through the finishing touches. She was very interested in making sure I was happy with tattoo, walking me through variations in size and design that ultimately led to a finished product that Im very excited about, and everyone else whos seen it has been impressed by the work. On top of that, she was fun to work with, which really helped with the nerves one may experience when getting his first tattoo. Im already thinking about another design so I can work with her again.

This place doesnt deserve not even one star, they might have good Tattoo artist but their costumer service is below 0. I talked to the tattoo artist and we confirmed the appointment so the next day i went there and left the deposit ( it was supposed to be a birthday gift) and today after a week they told me that the appointment was never confirmed and that i didnt left the deposit. Well if i as a costumer should confirm my appointment than why there are front deskers??. By the time i went there while i was talking to the tattoo artist through the phone the lady with orange hair saw me and knew exactly who i was and that she did the mistake. For a place like this to happen this kind of miscommunication its not acceptable I left my work earlier today, so did my friebd just to tell us oh you shouldhave confirmed it and that its a miscommunication.Not recommend at all. Disappointing

I got my belly button pierced and it was quick and easy and not painful. Everyone was so nice and the place is very clean. My piercer was Elizabeth and she was nice, explained everything clearly, and made me feel comfortable. Definitely would recommend this place.

Dani did my tattoo and I absolutely love it!! It looks perfect and I cant wait to see how it heals. The only negative was that my tattoo didnt actually begin until an hour into my appointment time, which was a bit frustrating. That being said, she was incredibly thorough and made sure that everything is perfect. I love my tattoo so much that I would definitely recommend Dani and still give her 5 stars! The shop was also spacious and clean, and Brian was great and helpful. I would definitely go back!

Went in for daith piercing. She did a great job for my daughter and I. We both suffer from migraines and really hoping for some relief. The place was clean, but did not have a complete sterile feel compared to other parlors Ive been to. The staff was all friendly.

My friend and I went as a walk in to get tattoos. I was very scared to get one and was debating for a while. Everyone was very nice. Jaime (Mito) ended up doing my tattoo and he was very nice and he make you feel comfortable. It did not hurt like I thought it would at all and it turned out beautiful. I would highly recommend this place and his service!

Got my navel pierced here two years ago, and it came out so well! Came here recently as I was concerned, and they reassured me everything was okay. I agreed to change it a smaller gauge, and it came out very cute. Prices are reasonable!

I love Rossmery!!! I went there a month ago for the 1st time and I got a vertical labret done for my lip. She worked quickly and efficiently. She was so confident and professional and it made me relaxed. I got a titanium jewelry piece and it looked amazing. She gave me the solution spray they offered as well, and it worked wonders. My lip was swollen for a couple of days but I followed Rossmery’s instructions and the swelling went down.

I had a tattoo done by Daniela and had an amazing experience start to finish. She was extremely responsive during the appointment set up, and I was able to get scheduled with her quickly. Her work is outstanding, and the fine lines in my tattoo are extremely clean. The price was really good for the high quality work done. I would highly recommend booking with her if her style matches what you want.The shop overall has a very clean, welcoming environment with positive vibes from all the staff. I am already planning to book another appointment for a larger piece soon!

I have been pierced by many folks, at many different shops. This was mt first time at this spot and irs super clean, the staff is friendly and welcoming. Got a nostril piercing from Elizabeth and she did a great job. Had some follow up questions during healing and she was very accommodating to my needs. Would see her again for myfuture piercings.

I contacted Milly on a Sunday to see if I could make an appointment for the upcoming Tuesday to get the Nano Brow and Milly responded immediately. She informed that she did have an opening that Tuesday and the appointment was set with a deposit for confirmation. There are 2 sessions included in your price as long as you stay on schedule. This pic is my second session and I am so happy with the outcome. Millys work is awesome!!!

My kid got a septum piercing here. The shop itself is big and bright and clean. The people behind the counter were really kind and welcoming and made us feel welcomed. This review is not about the work received but about how hard it was to get it done. The shop and employees are cool and knowledgeable, the shop its self is nice and welcoming. I couldnt be happier with the results of the work I got done.** Moving on.I got tattooed by Mercy in December. It was a gift from a friend that almost didnt happen. From what I was told (and experienced myself later on) Mercy is incredibly difficult to get a hold of. My friend was told emails only so she emailed. And emailed. And emailed. No response. It took 2 separate calls to the shop and another email to finally get a hold of and book an appointment with Mercy. Like I said earlier, tattoo was great very happy with the results. Near the end of the appointment I mention wanting to come back and maybe do some add on work, Mercy said just email once its all healed and well go from there. Great. A couple weeks later, in January, I email Mercy about the add on, quote and getting scheduled. No response. Few days go by I send another. No response. This continues until today, 3 months later. Ive called the shop several times to try and get help and Im told email only. Over being ghosted I go to the shop today as a walk in and get what I want with a separate artist. Got charged almost 70% of the original work for the addition but its finally done.Im happy with my results from this shop and its artist but my experiences will have me not coming back.**Updating my review. taking a closer look at the addtions to the tattoo Im not happy. parts of it are not colored in all the way, there are gaps in color and other parts have splashes of other colors that dont match. Not only am I not coming back I also wouldnt recommend this place to anybody. For a shop and artist so well regarded I expect better.

Came to this place to have my helix done. At first, I was pretty nervous about how it gonna end. But my piercer Windy was super nice and gentle, she drove me through all the process, explained every step before executing it, asked me if I was doing ok, and actually, I felt NO pain at all. Her professionalism just brought calm and peace during the entire session. Not to mention that she really cared about the after care, so I left happy and confident. I would definitely recommend her to my friends, and would definitely come back to the store as soon as I decide my new piercing.

This is my 4th piece from Ruben Aguayo, check him on out IG @rubenaguayo_ink for his works. Hes an expert at his craft, professional, friendly and extremely detail oriented. You bring your piece in, and hell work with your art , with HIS STYLE and you wont be disappointed. He will give you suggestion on what works and what does not, and he is very honest about it. Ruben will not accept your piece if he feels it does not turn out well. If you want a bad a$$ looking piece of art, you have to walk in with an open mind. Just because you think something will look good on you doesnt mean your artist will think the same, they have seen enough to know what will or will not look good. Ruben is the PAPI for all my tattoos & will def come back for more :) FYI Ruben is very busy, youll be looking at months in wait time so book ahead!

I love this place! Ive gotten all my piercings done here (helix’s, daith, rook, septum, and nose piercing). Honestly, this is the only place I would get pierced at. I love their new location and it’s super clean! All my piercings healed nicely and they’re very professional. The piercers are super friendly, cool and patient! I love how they inform you of everything after your service. I’ve always had an amazing experience and i will continue to keep coming. Brought my daughter in tonight for a piercing. All of the staff was friendly and helpful. We had Windy for our piercing and she was amazing. As much as my daughter wanted to do this she was nervous and hates needles. Windy was super patient, talked her through everything, explained every step and kept on with her business. It was done so quick and we are super happy with the way it turned out. We live a few hours away and before we left were told if we had any problems or questions and couldn’t get back to the area to call and they would help us over the phone. Definitely would go back.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. The place is very chill and looks very professional at the same time! My piercer was Windy and she was very helpful and kind! She was able to replace my original nose piercing that I got somewhere else on the left of my nostril, because the stud fell off alongside piercing my right nostril which I wanted. This location is a bit far from my home but I rather drive 30min-40min to get professional and reputable piercers! I WILL be coming back here for more piercings!

Rossmery was so incredible!! I went to get my double high nostril piercing and she was so wonderful, patient and sweet to me about wanting the perfect placement. We spent probably 5-10 minutes just getting the perfect spot. The piercing took a whole minute, she was so fast and skilled. I cannot recommend her enough. I dont think Ill go anywhere but here for my next piercings.

I booked a tattoo with Rafael Villalobos and it went amazing. he was very kind the whole time and made my tattoo look beautiful. i asked him to add a flower to the image and he did exactly that with no issues. he was kind when i asked for restroom breaks and didnt make me feel bad even when i kept apologizing that my leg kept twitching. he also responds quickly and accurately on instagram which made the communication process run smoothly. as for pricing, the tattoo was priced exactly as quoted at $400 for my 3 hour tattoo thats about 4x4 inches and completely colored which is extremely reasonable!! front staff were also friendly. i adore my little frog and am definitely coming back again for touch ups or my next colored tattoo :)

I went there around last week to get my nose pierced, the place seemed clean and everything was sterilized. It was a quick and painless process. I would recommend this place to anyone thinking about getting a piercing / tattoo.Came back four years later to get a rook and belly ring done, loved my experience so much came back to make another review lol, windy was a dear, so sweet answered all my questions and casually chatted with me about our piercings and experiences, really made me feel comfortable! The piercings came out awesome again (still love my nostril from four years ago and healed very quickly with no issues!) They were centered very well and again everything was very sterile and clean.

We had a large group of gun violence survivors and advocates visiting Chicago for an annual conference. Its become a custom for many of us to memorialize this event with new ink. This spot is too good!! Super professional. My friend and I got our ears pierced by Itzel and she was really cool. She even took the time to measure my ears for placement. They use a needle here so you know you’re in good hands. Shop is clean, price is fair, everyone is friendly. I never leave reviews for places but chicago ink was beyond my expectations so here it is! Would recommend to anyone.

You know a good piercer when they won’t do a certain piercing because you don’t have the anatomy. Went in for a daith but discovered my ear wouldn’t support it, so I got a forward helix instead. The piercer was quick and obviously knew his stuff, I felt 1,000% comfortable the whole time and left very happy. Will definitely come back for my future piercings.

This place is 5 stars no doubt. The prices are excellent compared to others (I made sure to research). Also they make sure to treat you with care. I went to get a new nose ring because the post fell out of my piercing and guidance on how to manage it. Wendy was so helpful and gave expert advice. The whole experience left me feeling joyous to have found a place I can return to. For me its about being able to find a good reliable location that I can frequent when I need to. I just went to Mercy for the second time and she is seriously the best! I’ve gotten a sternum tattoo and a quote going down my back! Her work is impeccable, especially her line work! She’s also so friendly, makes you feel so comfortable especially when sitting through some tough tattoos. Definitely 100% recommend her!The location itself is also very clean and organized! Parking is fairly easy, I’ve gone on a Saturday both times and found parking on Belmont! The girl at the front desk is also so friendly and polite. I will definitely be coming back again and again!

I felt well taken care of by the whole staff. Rossmary did my septum on a walk-in. They were very, very kind and professional, and made the whole experience as painless as possible. The studio was safely spaced out and clean. I would definitely recommend to a friend, and in fact I did! To my roommate and she had a very pleasant experience as well.

I have bilateral nose studs that I got at another shop in Aurora, and one of them fell out of my nose while I was sleeping. I still had to initial jewelry and it was a corkscrew stud so it would come out easily and I would pop it back in immediately no problem. But because it happened at some point in the middle of the night, it had already started to heal when I found it in the morning. I tried replacing it myself but it wouldnt pop through and I didnt want to make things worse. Isaac spoke to me right away as soon as I walked in the door, and Elizabeth saw me in the room within like 5 minutes. Super quick, super nice, the shop was super clean too and everyone i interacted with was just amazing. 10/10 recommend, I will be coming back for future piercings.

I was here for the weekend on my bach trip and we decided to go and get tattoos. finding this shop was a true blessing in disguise. everyone there was absolutely phenomenal; saying that is an understatement to be honest. andres tattooed me and was incredibly patient with me and completely captured my fathers hand writing. i will absolutely make that drive from michigan to chicago in heart beat for this shop.

Rosemary was so kind to my granddaughters . The earring piercing looks great. The tattoo was perfect, it was exactly what my daughter in law wanted. My only criticism is that they dont have t shirts in all adult sizes and a way to order a kids size. Nicolas was quick and skilled. It was great, the nicest tattoo palor Ive ever seen.

Update: turns out they don’t use titanium!! My piercing was sinking because they used the L ring instead of with a back and I had to go to another shop who informed me that ring wasn’t titanium and it was indeed sinking in because they used the L ring. I want a refund.I had to wait a little over and hour but, for a Saturday evening walk in, that wasn’t too bad. I got my nose pierced. I had very little engagement with front desk staff but, I’ll say from what little interaction I did have with them (young man), it’s typical cis het men working in tattoo shop vibes.. not very friendly and just to the point. The piercer was a young lady (I assume) and she was very nice. She was quick and clean with the piercing. I’d DEF go back for more piercings but, the vibe is a little too busy and masculine for me to ever feel comfortable being tatted there.

My best friend and I have wanted matching tattoos for years but could never decide on one because our styles are so different. Not only did Rafael take us on short notice he designed a few samples and waited patiently while we made our decision. The facility is exceptionally clean and professional. Our tattoos came out better than we imagined. It was an amazing experience that we can add to our list of adventures weve had together.

I just took my daughter here for an advance ear piercing. The lady that did the piercing was very professional and kind. The environment is laid back, chill and very clean. I was impressed to see how the tattoo stations are setup with digital displays of the tattoo artist work. I will definitely return for piercing for myself and a tattoo. I highly recommend this establishment.

I went in there on a Thursday to get a nipple piercing with a couple of friends and the staff was very welcoming. Brian was very attentive and knowledgeable about the whole process and didnt hesitate to assist us. It was also done in a very clean and private manner that can make anyone feel comfortable with getting a needle through their skin. Will be coming back.

I got my nostril piercing done in September and I couldnt be happier with it! I was pierced by Rossmery, and she did a great job. My piercing was quick, sanitary, and not very painful at all. I was given good aftercare instructions and it healed within 2 months. I would highly recommend for anyone thinking about getting a piercing!

Had an amazing experience here! I came in to get my first ever tattoo, and Carlos did a PHENOMENAL job. His line work is very clean and the tattoo turned out exactly the way I had pictured. I’m in love with it! The entire staff was very accommodating. Rosemary the body piercer pierced my nose the same day as my tattoo and she is such a professional. I went to this place on a whim, and now I will be a long time customer!

Just went here with my sisters to get piercings and had the BEST experience with Windy. I got my septum pierced and my sisters got their nose, flat, and belly button and Windy was very knowledgeable, sweet, and patient in answering all of our questions. 10 out of 10 recommend Windy and this business! If you know piercings and quality of jewelry do not go here. If this is your first time- trust me you can find a better place!!! Tat cave is less than half the price and uses good quality jewelry that won’t get infected!! This place is NOT it. I’m glad I didn’t get a tattoo here there are wayyy better places. They basically rob you blind here so if it’s your first time just know there are way better options. Don’t let the people who seem so nice and welcoming fool you. Total manipulation

I went for a couple of piercings and had a great experience. I was greeted immediately upon getting there, and had almost no wait. The piercing artist, Rossmery was wonderful! She took the time to explain the piercing, checked to make sure I was happy with the placement, and made sure I knew how to care for it. She had a great sense of humor too. I will be back!

Got my septum pierced here yesterday by Rossmerry and she was so quick and the process was painless! My friend got her cartilages done and Rossmerry was so patient in figuring out a placement my friend liked. Came in as a walkin and was pierced 20 mins later. Very clean environment and friendly staff.

I want to start with my tattoo was beautiful and before my appointment everyone was very friendly. Also, this is my fifth tattoo so I’m not new to getting artwork done. Sadly, that’s where the good things ended. This is going to be a long review but I want to have everything laid out from my point of view of how things happened. I arrived at 3:45 for my appointment at 4:00 pm. When I got there, I explained I had some lidocaine gel and I was encouraged by two employees to give it a try so while I waited, I rubbed it into my leg. It didn’t work so I didn’t use it after that first application. My tattoo artist, Gerardo, arrived at 4:15 saying he thought it was scheduled for 5:00 pm. No big deal because he was only 15 minutes late, until I found out he hadn’t even designed my tattoo yet. It wasn’t until 5:30, an hour and a half after my appointment, that we finally got started on my tattoo. He rushed through it and took only four hours, of the planned 7-8, to do the tattoo. He was quite heavy handed and I was in a lot of pain until he finally used a Vasocaine spray over halfway through which helped immensely.After the tattoo I went home and followed the directions provided for aftercare. 3 days later, the redness and swelling were growing and it was beginning to hurt to walk. I called the company and spoke to a woman about the pain. I asked what she suggested and was told to use an anti-inflammatory like Ibuprofen. I then asked about the Vasocaine Gerardo had used. The lady told me they did, and when I asked if it was for sale she also said yes and that it was $40. I went down the next day and bought it and started using it on my tattoo to help the pain. Several days pass and my leg keeps getting worse until I was brought to tears by just walking. Finally, I had two different doctors look at it and they both tell me my leg is infected. I call the tattoo shop and they insisted I go in, even going as far to ask me if they doctors were sure it was infected. I made my way in and they immediately began blaming me. Telling me that I shouldn’t have used the lidocaine gel I used before-hand despite, as I mentioned, I was encouraged by two different employees. He then said I should have known not to use the Vasocaine spray that they sold me. When I pointed out that they never told me to not use it on the new tattoo they insisted that the woman shouldn’t have known I was using it on my new tattoo and therefore couldn’t have known to tell me not to use it. Even though it was the only conversation I had with the woman. They told me it was the woman’s job to sell things. I tried to explain that if she, or anyone, told me not to use it on a new tattoo I wouldn’t have used it. I didn’t spend $800 on a tattoo just to ruin it.They never apologized, they never admitted they should have told me not to use the spray, they only blamed me. It has now been over 2 weeks and so far, I have had to take 3 days off work, it still hurts to walk, I’ve been on two rounds of antibiotics, and pieces of my skin are still peeling off. I haven’t been able to sleep. The tattoo is ruined. They already have my money, so they don’t care. I expected better from a tattoo parlor that had so many good reviews.

Today was my first time coming to a tattoo shop in general and this was absolutely the best experience ever. Rachel did my nose piercing (nostril) and it wasn’t painful at all. It came out super pretty and she did it fast. She also has really great customer service skills. She talked to me a lot and made me extremely comfortable. I will indeed come back here again.

I went and got my nipples pierced recently by Windy! What an amazing and comforting Windy is! I was very anxious and definitely got light headed from the piercings but Windy got me water and gave me time to rest while giving me reassuring words and confidence! Definitely couldn’t have asked for a better piercer!10/10

Ive been considering getting my tongue pierced for about a month but was very nervous. I called Chicago Ink & Body Piercing and from the moment my call was answered I already knew this is the place I wanted to go to. The gentleman who answered my call was amazing and answered a few questions I had over the phone that I went right over and got my piercing done the same day. I was a bit anxious before going inside but when I did the customer service was A+. The gentleman in front was actually the same person who answered my call today. He chatted with me and answered some more questions while I was waiting my turn which helped with my nerves. My piercer was Windy and she was amazing she made me feel very comfortable and ensured me I would do great. I didnt feel a thing and I thank you both for being kind and showing me that great people and customer service still exist. For anyone looking to get pierced or tattooed this is the place to go to.

I took my daughter to get her nose pierce. The place was clean and super luxurious. I love the way they have display screens on the wall next to each room displaying the name, photo, and work of each artist. The piercing artist, Windy, was professional, kind, and understanding because although I wasnt the one getting pierced, I was more nervous than my daughter. LOL The gentleman behind the counter was great. He greeted us soon as we walked in. My mom and I went here for my first tattoo and her fourth. We had appointments with Axe, who was very helpful and created a design for my tattoo that was unique and beautiful. It was a great experience (especially for my first tattoo). The artwork is beautiful and is exactly what I expected of it. I felt comfortable and the shop is very clean. I was never concerned about cleanliness or service. I definitely hope to be back. I highly recommend getting ink here!

Got me and my sister matching nose piercings. Her first piercing and our experience was fun. Rosemary made us so comfortable and was super sweet and knowledgeable on the after care. I absolutely loved the vibe here! The service was amazing from start to finish. I went in to get a nose piercing (my first piercing that wasn’t my ear). I read so many reviews about this place and was pretty confident my experience would be good. I was CORRECT! Itzel pierced my nose and it was so quick and easy I barely felt it. She was professional and comforting the whole process. My pain tolerance is really low, but Itzel made it effortless. I am extremely pleased with my nose piercing!

My experience in the shop was awesome! I got my nose pierced for the first time and my piercer Rosemary was extremely nice and funny. They have a separate room for piercings that is very clean and sterile. They also allow one friend to accompany you in the room. She cleaned my nose and all of the instruments were brand new. The actual piercing took about 2 seconds and she cleaned me up after. She then explained how to take care of the piercing at home and what products to buy, as well as how long to wait before changing the stud. Overall it was a great experience and shop. Excellent customer service, very welcoming, and good prices!

Me and my sister came here to get our noses pierced and I was terrified! Rossmary was very calm and made sure I knew exactly what was going on (not a fan of needles). She knew what to do in order to get me to relax and I ended up feeling no pain whatsoever! We were able to do a walk in and it took about 5 minutes total for the both of us. She did a great job and I’m very satisfied with my piercing.

They cleaned and replace my very irritated rook piercing for only $20! Including a new piece of jewelry. It was so clean and professional. The people are so nice and I can truly say I’ve never been to another piercer with such a huge selection of jewelry, for such good and fair prices. The entire experience was 5 stars. Itzel, is one of the piercers that work at this location. She is super nice and makes me feel extremely comfortable. I’m really scared of pain but she’s gentle and always takes her time. Furthermore, the piercings are well done, no infections and no swollen (of course you have to take care of it but still). Overall I came back twice. I don’t plan on getting any more body piercings but if I do, I’ll def be going to her! I live on the south side of Chicago, so the drive and travel was worth it. Thank you Itzel! 🤎🤎🤎

Got scammed by a piercer here and they use very low quality jewelry...I got my septum pierced here and I asked for titanium because Ive had problems healing in the past. The piercer told me they had titanium barbells and she charged me twice as much for the titanium jewelry (over $120). When I changed it, it turns out it was low quality metal/externally threaded. I also got my 2nd earlobe pierced here over 7 months ago and it still crusts and bleeds everyday even after switching to real titanium. Save your money and go to a better shop to get a piercing. I recommend Identity.

I’ve been to both their locations and i have to say they’re so professional clean and amazingly helpful. My first ever piercing other than my earlobes was an Industrial Ear piercing. My piercer was Itzel I went bold and apparently it’s one of the most painful to get in your ear. My piercer helped me out and would ask if i was okay every few seconds , she was an angel. This was three years ago and now I have a healthy healed Industrial. I went to the other location yesterday and got my Helix Ear piercing and Nose piercing done at the same time by Windy . The lady was so nice and would let me know what was going on at all times. Totally 10000/10 recommend both locations!

Jose Luis is incredible. His attention to detail and pure technical skill is amazingly impressive. I gave him an outline and told him to do whatever he wanted with it, and he delivered a beautiful design that I never would have been able to describe to someone. I didnt even really know what I wanted but he somehow delivered it and then some. I cannot recommend him enough. The shop was clean and relaxed, and the staff was friendly and helpful. They took me as a walk in and made me feel very comfortable there. The prices were very reasonable, especially considering the caliber of the artists. You wont regret choosing this place!

I’ve been there a few times now, first with my mom to get my ears pierced a few years ago, then for a nostril piercing, then for a septum ring, and most recently for snake bites. Every time everything has been quick clean and professional. For all facial piercings I got faint afterwards just because that’s a thing that happens with me and every time they were super kind and made sure I was okay before even taking me out to the counter to pay. The pricing of the piercing and jewelry services are super cheap for the quality of the service too. I’d highly recommend going here.

First I need to start by stating Windy needs a raise!!! she’s the nicest sweetest piercer I ever met… I drove a hour to go come to Chicago Ink and Piercings after seeing their Instagram page and From the moment I walked into the shop she was warm and nice. She let me pick between different options choices for my ear piercing that fit my liking (the tragus) and she was so great I ended up getting another one (the helix ). Ive recently got my septum ring for my nose done for only 60$. This was by far one of the best prices Ive seen as other shops were charging 80 and above. Beyond that, the lady who did my septum was very quick, and clearly good at what she did. She made me feel relaxed and comfortable and it was done within a matter of 2 minutes or less. The only thing that was a little upsetting was that they had only horse shoes rather than captive beads (which was i wanted) but other than that, it was quick and easy. The lady assured me that the needles were clean and everything was used only once. 10/10 would come again, and possibly, i might be going soon.

I lost one of my end pieces to my stacked earlobe piercing. I had a Neometal threadless labret stud with a mint cz end piece. I called the shop first to see if they had the brand I needed and they confirmed they did. I went to the shop and two very nice ladies helped me find the right end piece. One of them helped me put it back into the labret post in my earlobe piercing. Overall, I am a very happy customer (my wallet isnt happy but whatever lol).

Rossmery did an amazing job with my snake eye tongue piercing. I felt comfortable throughout the process and she informed me of proper after care. Overall the experience was fantastic and Ill definitely be back for another piercing /tattoo.

Walked in with two friends, we were all out in 2 and a half hours. They were careful to get the sizing, design, and placement perfect before starting. The artist worked quickly but precisely. A bit on the expensive side but with the quality of the work, I’m not complaining at all. The shop was very clean and smoothly run.

I’ve been to Chicago ink multiple times for piercings, tattoos and to get my jewelry! I’ve had two piercings done by windy, 3 done by elizabeth and have had tattoos all done by different artists here! The artists I had were rafael, v and brayan! The artists I had always made sure I was comfortable and I was very happy with how the piercings I had turned out and my tattoos as well. The place is super clean and neat. Not to mention, when I had gone to a different shop and had a not so pleasant experience due to the fact an industrial piercing was not suitable for my ear shape they suggested other things I could do instead and did so much to help me feel better! The staff is amazing and so so nice! This is somewhere I’ll always recommend and definitely trust to came back to for any future tattoos or piercings!
