I recently got a tattoo at Chi-Town Tattoo. The artist was Mandy. This is my 2nd tattoo from her. She did a fantastic job. Her skills are top-notch, and she made sure I was comfortable. The place was clean and well-organized. Mandy listened to my ideas and gave great suggestions. The tattoo turned out even better than I imagined. I highly recommend her if youre thinking about getting a tattoo. Overall, it was a great experience, and Im happy with the result.

Professional staff that are patience and a nice clean environment. Place is located next to highway- lit and safe. Great experience with Alan! Thanks! Only downside is the choice of earrings to choose from for new piercings - 2 choices - stainless steel ball or stainless steel with a small fake gem (extra $30).

Mandy is by far the best tattoo artist i’ve ever been to! She always takes great care of me and does an amazing job. I’ve gotten 4 done with her and never had any problems. I highly recommend going to her. Can’t wait to get more done!

I’m writing this review because I had a bad experience here a few months ago and I am still thinking about it, so maybe I can prevent that for someone else. I came here to get my septum pierced. The piercer, whose name I believe was Alan, did not really do much explaining or anything before piercing me, but I trusted that he knew was he was doing. After a few looks in the mirror when I got home, I came to realize the piercing was definitely in the wrong location, very low in my septum and compared to at least 100 other pictures I spent an hour googling, completely misplaced. You could see the place it was pierced when looking at it from the side, which means it’s not high up enough at all. The next day, I got a second opinion from a piercer at another shop who told me they should not have let me walk out the shop with the piercing looking like that, and apologized to me on their behalf. When I told her where I got pierced, she did not seem surprised at all. I went back to ask about the piercing, and Alan was there and told me that it was placed correctly and I can’t get a refund. I asked another piercer there, who then told me that it probably was the right location if I had felt a pinch when the clamp was placed higher. Here I knew Alan had definitely messed up, because he only clamped my piercing position once, not checking if it went further up. Anyway, can’t change the past. I had them take it out, and Alan told me I could come back in a month and he would repierce it for me. I evidently will not be going back. Attaching images with comparison screenshot for reference. If you’re coming here for a septum piercing, I would say maybe don’t. :(

I called in to inquire about their availability for piercings and they had walk-ins available. I really wanted to review this spot due to friendliness of the employees there. Everyone was warm and welcoming which made my experience pleasant. I went in for the Ashley piercing, but unfortunately they didn’t offer services for that particular one. I was a going back and forth on whether I wanted the vertical labret or Ashley, so this made my decision easier. I really like the placement and my piercer was lovely. My mom also got her first piercing done by her as well. She was very nervous, but eventually her nerves were calmed by our piercer. My only issue was an additional charge that I didn’t recognize on my card.Overall I recommend this location!!

Mandy was super sweet. Was very accommodating while getting pierced offered a break in between. Thank you!!! Shop is super clean , and the girls in front were also awesome. They offer parking in the back which is convenient. It’s right off the highway , also are open extremely late which is ideal.

I would give zero stars if possible after this TERRIBLE experience!! My husband was definitely overcharged based on our experience with other shops, as he paid $550 for an hour of work and the piece he received lacked the quality and effort of a $550 tattoo. We tried giving the shop the benefit of the doubt and had no problem paying the amount we did at first expecting high quality and intricacy and instead received apprentice work quality. We understand that we are charged on size, placement, and the details, but the quality is just not the there as there is blowouts and shaky line work. After we brought it up to one of the managers we were simply offered $50 for our next tattoo or $100 off a $500 tattoo. They did later on offer to touch it up once it’s healed but we will not be going back due to them not addressing the problem at hand and disregard for customer satisfaction or there work at that, seeing their “senior” artist just essentially traced the stencil with some shading and was given creative freedom and only added cherry blossoms to the reference. I think you can see what I mean after seeing photos of the work and comparing it to the oni mask piece my husband had got done from a different shop priced at $400 and took about 3-4 hours to be completed. There should be no reason for a piece like this to be worth the price that it is and the only thing that was worth the pricing was just the size.

Best and most awesome tattoo place ever. I live in FL and will fly in from FLORIDA for any future tattoos I get. Moses has done three so far. He is amazing. If youre looking for the best. They are the place. Worth every penny.

I got my first tattoo here today! I called ahead to see if I needed an appointment first but they just told me to walk in. I came in at about 9:30 and I spoke with Kevin about the tattoo I wanted. He was so nice and understanding that I had a budget and gave me plenty of time to decide what I wanted. He sketched exactly what I wanted and I got it done all in one sitting. Tattoo Union closes at 11 and he ended up staying until 11:30 to finish my tattoo. I’m so happy with what he did for me and I’ll definitely come back again.

I went to Mandy for my first ever tattoo and the experience was phenomenal! She is so attentive to what you want and really makes sure you love it. She did a great job with the mock ups and did everything I asked and the actual tattoo was very gentle. Overall, the best first experience you could ask for.

Just got a great tattoo done by Mandy Rivera! She was awesome/super patient with helping me figure out the exact design and styling that I needed! It turned out better than I could have imagined! 10/10 will go back to Mandy in the future!

My friend and I came in from 3 hours away. I had talked to someone a couple of day prior to see if there’s a good time to come in, which they told us when; so that’s when we came. No one knew we were coming so they put us on the waiting list. So we waited. After waiting for 4 hours they finally got to me. Ok great, the girl at the front desk did her best to accommodate us but you could tell she was not expecting us. So now Damon is working. On me, and I picked an intricate design and I knew it would take awhile. No problem. But there was a flat table and the position they had me lay was super uncomfortable so I about every 20 min half an hour I would sit up for a minute (literally only a minute) and lay back down… my friend isn’t familiar with tattoos and asked how much longer Damon thinks it would take. He very rudely said I can’t put a time on it if she keeps taking this many breaks. So now was I not only super uncomfortable but also upset because he was irritated that I had to take a minute to sit up. I have never been to an artist that didn’t care if you were uncomfortable and just seemed to not care. He asked if I wanted to stop and I said I’m not driving three hours back for you to finish it later, which he also didn’t seem to care about. The only saving grace was that he did an amazing job. It looks beautiful and I love it. But that was the worst experience I have ever had by far. If customer service isn’t a priority for your business fine but I just can’t believe that that was normal. I have no problem spending $500 on a tatt plus tip, but I expect to be treated a lot better. So if you want an awesome tattoo and no bedside manner than I highly suggest this place.

This place is amazing!! I went with two other friends to get matching tattoos and then two of us got additional ones (5 tattoos in total). It was my first time ever getting a tattoo and I was visibly super nervous, however Marco made sure I was comfortable and explained the whole process.One of my friends ended up passing out, however Marco & Claire (as well as additional staff) helped take care of her and make sure she was okay. They moved her to a chair, brought her pop, kept her body temperature down with some cool towels, and had her sit outside for fresh air.After that, I still was nervous for my second tattoo not just because of that, but also because it was on my wrist which is a bit more sensitive (not necessarily painful) than my finger tattoo. However, once again Marco did an amazing job and kept me talking (even reminding me to take a deep breath) which made the process go by super quickly.Overall, the staff is welcoming and it’s a comfortable environment. Shoutout to our tattoo artist Marco who did our five tattoos. He makes the process quick, comfortable, the prices are reasonable, and the tattoos turned out exactly like how we wanted!! My Boy Kassim Norris from Southside Productions ran me by this spot!! They had the nicest service and every single artist had great work on display. Ended up getting a nose piercing and booking a future date for my tattoos...as a testimony I dont live in Chicago, Ill be flying in from GA to get my work done!! This has to be the best tattoo shop Ive been to in a while! California born and raised!!

Claire absolutely nailed it! Everyone was so nice and patient since I didn’t really know what I wanted. It’s my first tattoo so I was a little nervous but she was very sweet so it made me feel at ease. I am absolutely obsessed and will definitely be back to get another one! THANK YOU!

Just got my second tattoo from Mandy and it was another stress free experience. Very easy to work with and discuss ideas/edits to your design. Both times she was prepared with slight variations of the design. Can’t wait to get the rest of my forearm done by her.

I reached out to Mandy over Instagram with an idea for a tattoo, and she was so helpful throughout the whole process of designing and completing the tattoo. The placement I wanted for the tattoo was on my ribs, which I was super nervous about. But Mandy made sure I was comfortable the entire time, encouraging me to take a break even though the tattoo itself was really simple. I cannot thank her enough for working with me throughout the entire process. Definitely will be coming back someday!

This was my first time getting a tattoo. Chi Town and my artist, Agata, did a really good job of accommodating my ideas into the reality of tattoo making. It was very important to me to have certain aspects of my tattoo to honor my deceased mother and Agata helped me with that every step of the way. She went out of her way to schedule me outside of store hours because that was my only availability on the very specific day I wanted my tattoo: my 18th Birthday! Thank you Chi Town and thank you Agata! Your floral designs are spectacular and you found a life-long customer!

Staff was super rude , I came inside here with my 3 year old to buy a belly ring. Before entering I checked their sign that clearly said a minor can come in with a parent . As soon as I walked in I wasn’t even greeted when they yelled “No little kids allowed in here” . I would understand if I needed tattoo services or even a piercing done . All I wanted was another belly ring I could change my existing one, into but they would’ve known this if they bothered to actually ask what I needed. One of the guys ended up selling me a ring but I felt rushed and overall was not a good experience , I even forgot my belly ring at the shop because I was very flabbergasted with this and yes I did come back for my rings .Please don’t get services here .

They do way too much for a piercing….. they ask for like all ur documents for a piercing😭 definitely jus go to a different place it’s Chicago you can find a shop like this anywhere

The new girl at the front not sure her name she’s the one with a bunch of piercings on her lips she was really sweet and welcoming the other girls in the front should be just as welcoming as her as they were not besides that Mandy the piercer was really sweet as well.

Ive used both the tattoo side and piercing side and every time I come here I have such an amazing time.Claire is so unbelievably talented and just a joy to talk to. Hands down an experienced artist. I got a cover-up from her and I cant even see my old tattoo anymore. Her music taste is also impeccable which is a plus.Naiya is such a professional piercer. Answered any and all questions and put my friend and I at ease. She was fast and thorough, and took extra time to make sure we were okay.Cant wait to come back!

Definitely going back again Brenton was so sweet and gentle and explained everything he needed to explain for the healing process of my nose piercing.

Just dropped by as a first timer and got my late kitty tattooed on my arm. Kat did a great job of capturing the finer details of my kitty on the tattoo (check images), at the same time keeping the style minimal. She was very methodical and was very focussed while tattooing and she was checking in regularly with me during the process. Other staff were great too, and would definitely recommend the place.

Got a few piercings by Connor a couple weeks ago w/ my friend & it was, hands down, the best piercing experience Ive had! He was really kind & gentle, and was really great with talking through the process as he was moving through each step. Also had great conversation with him in general!! Will absolutely be going back to get more piercings from him.

I have been here at least like four times. And I will be back! I’ve been seen by multiple piercers but mostly Naiya, she’s wonderful!! Everybody here brings a supportive and calming energy to the entire experience. I tell all my friends to come here for piercings. I couldn’t recommend it more!

Claire was the absolute best. The shop is clean, very friendly staff, and she killed my two tattoos , they turned out awesome. She was kind, light handed, and legit a good person. I will only go to this shop.

We went there yesterday to get a piercing. We were recommended to ask for Michael and he was amazing. The procedure was very quick and clean. Afterwards, he explained how long it will take to heal and how to clean the piercing.The lady at the front desk was also very nice and friendly. Their prices are also very reasonable and affordable. Great place to get piercings. Felt like I was in their waiting area and filling out their customer background forms for longer than the actual consultation/cleaning/piercing. If you can, get your piercings done by Damon. They quadruple checked the precise ear location I wanted mine done on and helped map out where I can expect I want future ear piercing locations. In and out with spot on cleanliness, cant ask for more.

Brenton pierced me and my friends nipples tonight and he was amazing! My friend was very anxious and he did an amazing job hyping her up as well as talking her through everything. He was super patient with us and very quick with the whole process! Definitely get pierced here!!

Agata is amazing, I have had multiple done by her, and they’re all amazing. Would recommend every day. My husband regularly sees Jameson who also does amazing work. We’ve done some random walk ins and the other artists are also all great!

Love my tattoo, first tattoo. Super patience, very clean and vibrate people. I was so nervous at first I ask for the pricing for my tattoo then decide well why wait. And got it done around 1030 ish today... Agata was so nice and friendly, she had conversation with me to help easy my mind. We went to literally 5 different topic! I walked in a tad nervous to get my standard lobes and nose pierced but everyone was very nice and easy going. Mandy did all the work and she did an incredible job. I didn’t feel a thing, the placement of all 3 piercings were perfect, and she wrote down instructions on how to take care of everything through the healing process as well as how long it’ll take them to heal. Couldn’t beat the price for the quality of work done. This is the place to go and if you do ask for Mandy!

I went in as a walk-in on a Saturday afternoon and had Moses do a hip tattoo which came out sooo good that I returned that following Monday to do the other hip! I’ve been to this studio twice now to be pierced by Connor, and I cannot recommend it more! He is very kind and has a great attention to detail, and is great at making sure the person being pierced is very comfortable! The studio is very clean and all of the staff are really nice! Came in to get my daughter her first tattoo. We recently lost our cat of 21 years. The cat was older than my daughter and a huge part of her life. A few years ago, I made a card for my daughter with the cats paw print inside. It was decided this would be her first tattoo. Jameson knocked this one out of the park! The detail is spot on! I got my tragus and nostril done by Connor and Im so happy with how they turned out!! He was so friendly and very gentle when it came to the piercing! Makes you feel very comfortable and lets you know each step hes taking. I definitely recommend going to him for your next piercing!

While the piercers were very nice, I wasn’t informed that you have to downsize your earrings after a few months. My ears ended up getting super irritated. Also, the metal they use is surgical steel which can be irritating to some people. When I went to go get my jewelry changed the hoops they gave me had gems in them which eventually fell out leaving grooves that gave the inside of my piercing micro tears. My ears kept bleeding so I eventually went to a different shop to get them changed and immediately noticed improvements. They told me these hoops were okay for everyday wear. I would avoid this place if you have sensitive skin.

Ive been getting tattooed for the past 11 years and honestly coming here to get tattooed by Mandy has been better than any other experience Ive had. Shes incredibly talented at what she does. Shes incredibly patient with all of her clients and always willing to make suggestions or draw something incredible up based on any idea you present her with.Since getting my first tattoo Ive been a repeat client of hers and wouldnt think of letting anyone else tattoo me, she is truly an exceptional artist.

They treat you like family 🖤 If I’m in town, I make sure to swing by, I can always find some real estate on my body ;) if I can fly all the way from Poland for some proper ink, you can surely hop on the blue line and I recommend you do !

This place is fantastic!! I came in for my first ear lobe piercings without an appointment, and they helped me right away. I was nervous, but everyone there made me feel very comfortable. The shop was very clean, sanitary, and well lit, and the pricing was very affordable. My piercing artist, Damon, was amazing!!! They talked me through the process and made me feel so at ease. The piercing itself was very quick and the pain was minimal. Damon answered all my questions and made me feel comfortable caring for my new piercings. I’ve been to Chitown Tattoos and Piercings several times and I have had great experiences every time! I got my new conch and tragus piercing done today by Connor Flatley. He was super friendly. I have several piercings but it was reassuring that Connor still walked me through the aftercare process and the steps he was taking for me to get the perfect piercing. I absolutely love my piercings. I will definitely be back!

I just went and got my nose pierced here a few hours ago and I had to share my experience. The building itself is very clean and spacious. No weird shady tattoo shop vibes or questionable sanitation. Getting checked in was very speedy and the prices are reasonable and fair. They have pricing on their website which did not change when I went in. Besides the building, the staff was very courteous and helpful. The person at the front was very clear and my piercer was amazing. We discussed aftercare and my fear of needles and he made the process extremely pleasant. My piercing looks amazing and I plan on coming back here many times!

This place is great. I went in to get an old tattoo reworked by Moses, he went above and beyond, he really did an amazing job. I definitely would be coming back here for my next tattoo.

Ill always get my tattoos and piercings from here. I get faint with needles, and they are absolute pros at making you feel comfortable and safe. Mandy especially is so incredibly professional, friendly, and generous with her care. Its been so wonderful to find someplace that is not only accommodating of my fainting but also high quality and affordable.

Came here a couple weeks ago to get my nose re pierced. My piercing is great but the woman who pierced me was not friendly and had a horrible attitude with me the entire time. It was an uncomfortable experience as any question I asked she acted bothered. I will be back but with a different piercer.

Went earlier today for a septum piercing and was pierced by Brenton.He was really easy going and explained what he was going to do as he was prepping. I was a little nervous but he was honest, quick, and professional. I really appreciated his confidence and kindness. (Thank you again!)He shared with me some aftercare instructions and I left with a new piercing and some cleaning saline ($5 for the bottle, $40 for the piercing)

I went in to get a tattoo for my son and the artist who did my tattoo was Moses. He is a new artist in the shop and he absolutely did an incredible job and made sure everything was exactly how I wanted it to be done. He took his time and made sure he did the absolute best work he could, he didn’t rush to just knock out a piece and get me out of the door. He truly seems to be a good person and great artist. I would highly recommend going to this shop and will be returning for more tattoos.

So I got my septum pierced here on a Tuesday and I was a walk in. I filled out the paper work they took me back pierced my septum and I was done it was like a 15 min 20 min wait so they could sanitize and get it ready for me. . I forgot the girls name but she had pink hair and was very cool. I liked her vibe. And it was inexpensive. Im very happy with my piercing. I recommend them too others and also I might go back for a tatto. I liked what I saw on others. 👍

My tattoo scab ripped off and Chi-town refused to do the touch up because I was like a week past the three month mark - they wanted to charge me the shop rate of $80 to get the lines fixed. Such bull. Now I have to go somewhere else on principle. Thanks for nothing, Moses.

Showed up with four of my friends after a Harry Styles concert to get tattoos. No reservation, they took the five of us in and got straight to work. Clean, professional. Marco did mine and he was so nice! It was some of our first tattoos and they did their best to calm us down and make us feel okay! Reasonably priced, fun experience! Definitely recommend

My brother had a touch up tattoo with Mo(moses) and he cancelled 27 mins prior to the 5pm appointment. We do not live in Chicago so traveling to Chicago takes 45 mins with this traffic nowadays sometimes more so for him to cancel and waste our time for a small touch up no bigger than an index finger because he had a bigger tattoo to finish was unprofessional and wasted our time. just as artists hate when someone wastes their time, they should value their clients time too. A commitment was made. i had my tattoo with claire and she did a great job. don’t recommend moses tho.

My friend and I went to get piercings here. I got my nose pierced and she got her tragus pierced. The piercer did not measure my nose or the earring so it was way too long for my nose. It hit and rubbed on the inside of my nose and stuck out on the outside. I asked the piercer about it and all she said it was to account for swelling and I could put a bandaid over it. When she pierced my friends tragus, she had to do a lot of adjusting and it bled a lot. Blood was left pooled in her ear and we had to clean out after. We had to go to another piercing place 4 days later to troubleshoot both of our piercings. My earring had to be switched out and they had to completely remove my friends piercing. They told my friend that her piercing was done at a 45 degree angle, she would never be able to change her own earring, and it would take a year or more to actually heal. I would definitely not recommend going here for piercings.

I recently visited this place tonight as I live in the neighborhood of Jefferson Park so, i have decided to check them out and get my first tattoo.Staff was very friendly and I had a good service with my artist Claire who made the tattoo i wanted perfectly on my wrist. I would definitely return for additional tattoo services in the future and get more work made by Claire. She is an amazing person and very good in making tattoo art. Highly recommended to newbies,first comers to have your tattoos by her. Two-thumbs up 👍👍😎❤

I went for a tattoo (not at all my first tattoo so I came with experience) and my friend got a piercing and we were so impressed by this shop. My tattoo looks amazing and my artist was just as amazing! The piercing artist was amazing and we both LOVE the outcomes! We will definitely be back!! The shop is so clean and so cool looking. Got my first tattoo done by Marco as a walk in client. Marco can tell right away that this was my first time, and I made it pretty clear how picky and on point I was about my tattoo😂 He respected and listened to everything I had to say and made the process so stress free. His professionalism was awesome, and was very kind. Everything was very clean and he did everything properly. I’m in love with my tattoo and I’m sure I will be contacting Marco for my next one. Open way later than other parlors and has both piercing and tattoo services, so my friend and I got pierced and tattooed together here. clean and chill place in a convenient location. only waited like 20 minutes since there was a good amount of artists working, and all staff I saw was masked up too.only thing is it is pretty pricey, I got two small lines tattooed on my ear which took 5 minutes, for $120 (not including tip) - I had called ahead to find out the minimum was $80 so I was surprised to hear such a simple tattoo would be that much. they do have a menu of starting prices based on placement location. none of which were $80, so not sure what that minimum really means.

Went in with my friend to get my second nose piercing redone (previously let close) and had a wonderful experience. Brenton listened to my concerns and made sure I was satisfied with placement before proceeding. Love how everything turned out and will definitely be coming back again to get pierced by him again.

I visited Chi-town Tattoo a few months ago and got 2 tattoos by Brenton. I love them! I always wanted a semi colon tattoo and I got a daddy long leg for my grandpa who always put daddy long legs on me as a child. I am very happy with my experience and my tattooes. I got a really small tattoo. My artist was Claire and she did a good job no complaints with her. But i was way overcharged for my tattoo. Only reason i stuck with the price and didn’t chose to complain cause the meaning means a-lot to me. It was the the year my mom was born “75” but in roman numerals. I hope they not charging new comers ridiculous prices. Not happy with the price charged.

If i could give this place less than one star, i would. i have never met more unfriendly, stand-offish, employees. i frequent at a different piercing place called “identity,” also in the city. i didn’t think much of the horrible bedside quality here until i remembered my experience at identity and how patient, kind, and warm they were. my friend went to get her septum, and i went with her, already having a septum piercing for nine months. from the moment we went in it was awkward and we felt out of place. not how you want to feel when you’re getting a needle through your nose. my friend wanted a bigger piercing but the one they showed her was missing a ball, she landed on the smaller one and became comfortable with it. the piercer then found a ball for the bigger one and when my friend asked- would it look better, the piercer very harshly responded “aesthetics don’t matter, this will heal better,” leaving no room for debate and not calming for my obviously nervous and hesitant friend. The whole point of a piercing is the aesthetic, i shouldn’t have to explain this. I understand healing, but my septum healed just fine with an incredibly small piercing and i have never heard this before, smaller also seems better for healing, less room to snag and move on things. She then pierced my friend, who, upon sight of the much too big piercing, freaked out. No compliments from the piercer, no reassuring, silence. Letting her client freak out. Here’s the kicker. we went back to purchase the smaller one to replace when her piercing healed, and they almost didn’t sell it to her because (and quoting the piercer) “i don’t want to sell it to her, she’ll just put it in.” the two employees gave disheartening looks to each other, insulting my friend in front of her face. they eventually sold it, and my friend went home having the worst piercing experience of her life. the only reason this place would get more than zero stars is their pricing, but speaking for my friend, she would’ve paid more for a better experience. don’t go here. identity, chicago ink tattoo and body piercing, iris, tattoo factory, all options in the city, all exponentially better. awful experience.

I came here today to get my ears re-pierced and I was pretty happy with the experience because the person who was going to do the piercing before he actually pierced me he checked to see if they were still open which I was glad he did that because they were still open so they didn’t actually have to pierce me the only thing is I thought it was a little more on the pricier side because they charge $30 per ear which is kind of insane when a woman gets her ears pierced they are always going to do both ears so I think they should just have a price and charge one price for both ears instead of per ear. It was a little more pricey for me unfortunately because I have sensitive ears and I had to go with the more expensive earrings. There are cheaper places that you could go to. But as long as my ears don’t get infected, I am satisfied.

I had a tattoo done here and the experience was excellent; Mandy is a sweetheart and did a great job of making me feel comfortable during the design of my piece and while I was getting tattooed.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I only came here because tat cave on harlem was closed.. my first mistake. I will never come back for a piercing. My initial experience walking in Im wondering if they even know how to properly pierce by the questions they ask. Then found out they charge $40 per piercing when tat cave charges $20. Then the piercer did not make me feel comfortable at all. I understand we all need experience but if you dont know what youre doing my body is not the place to practice who is in charge of this place. The ball fell off my tragus 2 weeks later I came back and then they wanted to charge $10 to put their own jewelry back on thank God I didnt lose the ball or I could have kissed the piercing goodbye and wasted my money or had to buy a whole other piece of jewelry. Tat cave would have put it back on for free but I had to go back where I originally got it pierced. My rating is 0/10. I would not recommend and not come back hope this helps 🙂

I recently got my eyebrow pierced here and got my septum pierced about a year ago. both times were quick, quality, and clean. i got my eyebrow pierced by Claire, who was so cool and knowledgeable; she seemed really experienced and it really was a pleasure to meet her. I got my nose pierced by Micheal and he was equally as pleasant. they really know what they’re doing :)

Awesome people and all around great place. My two daughters got their first tattoos here not too long ago. Very small tats but they came out great. Recently I had a tribal tiger put on my right arm. Agata did the work and it came out unbelievable. Had lots of detail and took almost 3 hours. She did an amazing job and was extremely helpful and nice. Highly recommend this place.

Awesome experience! My boyfriend and I came in not knowing exactly what we wanted, but the receptionist was really nice. We ended up getting a couple small tattoos. Our artists were awesome and did a great job. Such a great shop for last minute and late tattoos.

Tattoo was pretty simple and artist did a good job. Extremely overpriced though, 250 bucks for a tattoo that took 50 mins and was pretty small. Another artist I personally know at a different but equally reputable shop quoted me 100-150 when I asked after the fact. Definitely talented artists but I would not go for a smaller piece. You will get ripped off. Is what it is though, tattoo looks good.

Our family has been coming here for years and theyre still the best if anything better.❤ Agata was extremely sweet, and even though she was extremely busy, she STILL managed to help me out with the tattoo I wanted, made sure I was okay and was very attentive.☺ I was extremely shy about getting tattood in the open since It was on my back and she did everything possible to make me comfortable. What I love is that she actually talked to me through out the tattoo and we had a pleasant conversation!. Shes an amazing artist and an amazing person! Its such a wonderful atmosphere there. My coworker/friend went here with her 17 yr old son yesterday to get both of their ears pierced and the front desk clerk and piercer refused her service saying she was pregnant. SHE TOLD THEM AND SIGNED WAIVER THAT SHE IS NOT PREGNANT! she is 130# and might have a little stomach after having 3 CHILDREN! and is nearly 40 years old. The audacity. Cant believe how rude they were to her. She is such a nice person. Shame on your staff. Clearly they dont have any children to understand how it effects your body! nor have any common sense/customer service skills. My friend went to another Body Piercing/Tattoo shop who was actually kind to them. What a concept! I would never give this place my business nor refer anyone to them. SHE IS NOT EVEN PREGNANT - YOUR STAFF IS SO RUDE!

Im so deeply in awe and grateful 🙏 to all the staff who helped me this early in the morning 🌄At around 10:30 I had a minor accident while cleaning my face and my captive bead popped right off my tiny rose gold nose hoop. I searched everywhere but most likely it went down my sink drain. I called three different tattoo and piercing studios. The closest one to me didnt have a piercer on site. I called another one I always went to in the past and she said they arent allowed to place nose jewelry on their clients due to the pandemic. She said I could come in tomorrow, buy a new hoop and leave; but no piercer would agree to helping me with it. I calked a third place and was told the exact same thing---that I can buy whatever I want but no one will assist me. This evening I called this place and Alex the professional tattoo artist was very reassuring and said not only are they open till 2 AM but I can buy any of their nose jewelry and a piercer will fit it in for me on the premises! When I arrived at 1 AM everyone here was very polite and very welcoming. Its incredibly clean here too so Ill come back for new jewelry and a new piercing in the near future. Mandy was my piercest and she lead me to the jewelry case and helped me find a tiny L shaped solid gold stud while I wait a couple weeks for my special order.Mandy even cut an L shaped stud I had for many years that was way too large for my nose 👃She didnt have to do this; but she was eager to help me and now I can use a stud that was unusable to me before. I highly recommend this wonderful piercing/tattoo studio for all your late night, 🌙 🌉 last minute emergencies because everyone here is so peaceful and helpful. I loved my experience ♥ this evening and I urge all locals to come here because of the wonderful professional and skilled services they provide.

Man o man. The Mrs. and I went in for some ear piercings. I was nervous (afraid of needles) even though I already had 2 piercings. Claire the one who handled our piercings definitely made the atmosphere comfortable and bore with me while I calmed the heck down.Piercing was as painless as it could be and precise for both my wife and I. She even helped my wife and I troubleshoot locations for the piercings. Their price was very fair and reasonable as well.I would definitely go back again and recommend to anyone looking to get a piercing done.

I had my nose pierced here, they were very friendly, it was a very clean and appealing shop. With little to no wait time, and a great staff. The following day, by completely my own fault, i hit my piercing and ripped it from its place. I was able to go back and they repaired it for no charge. Would definitely recommend this shop for first time customers for ink and piercings.

I got a tongue piercing here a year ago, everything went great it healed perfect I had to take it off because I had gotten mouth surgery. Cool, came back yesterday to get it re-pierced & the he/she told me that my tongue is “ too short “ which is super weird because I didn’t have that issue in the first place. I am very disappointed, it was just an inconvenience to come all the way here. Tried giving them another chance and asked them if I can get a neck tattoo instead. The girl was alright, used an iPad to created her art which is a red flag, basically told me that it would $220 for only 4 numbers behind my ear , which is my birth year. FOUR numbers for two hundred and twenty dollars. I just walked out very disappointed I wish I would’ve gotten some names but I was just so in a hurry to get out of this store out of disappointment.Place needs help

I have gotten my nose pierced here about 4 months ago, and the process was very smooth, everything went well as planned. The people working there were very welcoming. I would give it 5 stars, however I was not told the aftercare for my piercing when I was finished, but all I can say is, no infections, no nothing!

I had my 2nd visit today for a touch up on having my eyebrows tattooed. A follow up touch up is always needed. I absolutely love it. I love the job that was done on my eyebrows. Agata, The woman that did my eyebrows is the nicest person. Friendly and very professional. Chi-Town Ink is clean, everyone is very friendly And they are very accommodating in regard to appointments. I have several clients and friends that will go there due to my wonderful experience.

Ive seen some negative reviews about their customer service and in my experience nothing could be further from the truth. I was a walk in for a tattoo and everyone was super nice and they got me in pretty quickly. I even think they were short staffed that day but they all handled it graciously. Uriel did my tattoo and he did an amazing job. He was very gentle and really nice, and the tattoo looks great! I would definitely go back and Ill recommend Uriel to everyone!

We were very impressed with Mandy!!! She was helpful and knew exactly what to do. The other staff were friendly and welcoming. Very thorough with needing consent for my 17 year old daughter. We would certainly go here again. The place is funky, clean, and stylish!!! Excellent service!!!!

Went as a group with my sisters! And everyone was easy to get along with! Got both tattoos and piercings, process was quick and clean! Not only that, staff was very caring & made sure everyone was okay & happy! Plus they take PROPER covid measures!

Well the people who said they were in and out were definitely lying or over exaggerating, as I sat for well over an hour for my tongue piercing and I was the second one in line at the time. Not exactly sure how their first come first serve policy works when several people came in after me and were seen before me; it must be based on what technician can perform what or these people all miraculously had appointments for 5pm on a Tuesday. Regardless, the wait was incredibly long for walk-ins but I waited regardless. Customers came in without masks on despite their policy, some of them boasting about it, and nothing was enforced. There also isnt temperature checks like Google says, so if youre worried about covid maybe skip this one. Other reviews are right, the receptionist is kind of rude but I dont envy them when people dont follow policy constantly and theyre this busy. The piercing was cheap though and my technician was nice and appreciative of me waiting through his rush. He explained the aftercare and was patient with my excessive drool lol.

I went to Chi Town Tattoo to get my belly button pierced. I was afraid of doing it, but the workers made me feel more comfortable and the atmosphere in there is very nice. The staff is friendly and the workers are very knowledgeable in what theyre doing. They explained thoroughly how to take care of the piercing so it doesnt get infected. I didnt have any problems with it whatsoever, no infection or anything, and its been over 7 months since I got it done. The place is very nice and clean, and again, the atmosphere is really nice. They make you feel comfortable and they wait until youre ready to do the piercing. I highly recommend you to visit this place if youre thinking about getting a body piercing! :)

Loved that the shop was open late on a Sunday night. I arrived around 11:30pm to get my septum pierced. Michael was the piercer, and he was super friendly. He answered all my questions and made me feel very comfortable with the whole process. I am very pleased with my piercing and would return in the future to get pierced by him again.

Their customer service model should be a model for every business everywhere!I went there because all my life I felt a little uncomfortable with a deformity in my left ear and was thinking (for a long time) how an earring could cover it up. I was thinking to get both ears pierced for symmetry as well. I finally decided to go for it! Here is my story:I was immediately greeted by a super friendly gentleman who clearly knew how to check in with customers and manage requests. He also walked me around the store to show me my options of jewelry as well! He made me laugh a couple times!Next I was taken to another room by the piercing expert Michael who matched my pace through the whole process. Michael made me feel very at ease by explaining to me exactly what he was doing every step of the way. Again I mainly wanted my left ear pierced and was possibly planning on doing the right if it felt comfortable. Michael gave me no pressure whatsoever to do the right ear and seemed to sympathize with me what its like to be a first timer. He explained the whole healing process in detail to me!I left the store having only done the left side which I chose because Michael advised me that sleeping might be difficult if I had done both. However, Im certain I will be back soon to get my other ear done!Thank you to everyone who works here for such an amazing experience! I highly recommend your store to everyone looking for any sort of body amplifications!

I used to have on/off experiences with this shop over the years but have finally found my go-to folks. Ive really appreciated coming across artists who approach the appointment with patience and care, and are willing to hear me out about my anxieties and sensitivities. They have been super respectful and responsive when I ask or express to shift/pause/adjust etc.Marco has become my favorite tattoo artist and has been super great to work with. Ive sent in original designs and he has helped me bring them to life 🌼If you want to get any piercings, Brenton and Mandy are super patient and gentle and made the process relatively painless 😊 and thats saying something when youre intentionally getting pinched and poked at lol. They are also really accomodating and show they truly want you to leave with a happy piercing.Ive had some pretty bad experiences with other shops where they are rough, and shove needles, and blamed me when I was in pain bc they dismissed me when I needed longer bars etc. Brenton was super chill and took the time to hear me out, and was willing to make sure I left the shop comfortably.Ive witnessed some high turnover in the past but lately have been seeing familiar faces. I suggest having a conversation with your artist and ask some general questions to gauge if theyre the right ones to work with you.

Would not recommend getting your piercings with Damon. She was very unprofessional. Was asking a few questions as it was my first time getting my ears pierced and she would answer in a very rude way with an attitude. I did not feel comfortable through the whole experience. At the end, the third piercing was way off than my other ear. I noticed she isnt even on the website as a piercer. I am very disappointed.

My boyfriend and I got our first tattoo experience here , i got mine done from Lil Travieso. Loving the tattoos i got & the people there were very nice!

Rude people. We made an appointment for 7 pm. Got there on time and was told we only had a consultation appointment. I wanted a simple flower, small. I was told that he couldnt do this and that it would take a long time for him to draw it out!!! The nice girl, either Russian or Polish was quite helpful, but quoted me 200. For a small flower. Oh well, went somewhere else and got a great tattoo for 80. Colored ink. Organization is everything.

Extremely clean, professional, and best staff around!! I went here after having a horrible experience at Old Town Tatu.. and was so happy I did. Ian was my tattoo artist and freestyles a simple design on my rib cage. He gave me laughs and made me feel comfortable. I highly recommend this tattoo parlor and artist! Can’t wait to go back for something bigger.

Amazing customer service. I have two tattoos from two different artists and both are very professional. Also the women Piercer is very professional. All around a good experience when I go in. Price is a little high but if the work is going to be on u forever and its wonderful work, its best paying a little extra.

I definitely recommend this shop! To start I will say, dont feel you have to stick with the first artist who approaches you! I was approached immediately when I walked in. (I hadnt had a piece done in 17 years so I was quite anxious). The staff and atmosphere helped me to relax right away. I did end up switching from the original artist who approached me (nothing bad...could just feel that we werent feeling each other). Agata ended up doing my piece for me. I came in with a basic sketch of what I wanted and she took the time to listen and after a few tweaks, She drew up exactly what I wanted! I have very sensitive skin and explained this to her. She was so light handed and even gave me her cell # dueto my allergies to latex and adhesives in general. I ended up having no reaction and Im so happy with the work she did. I go off energy and she had great energy from start to finish (and Im OCD and hate all my other work, so I was probably not the ideal client but she made me feel like I was not an inconvenience). I hear people saying ths shop over charges and all I can say to that is you get what you pay for!! I feel I paid an appropriate price for the time and work Agata provided for me. I will be back to see her ASAP! And I recommend her and this shop to anyone looking for quality work! Very clean, very helpful, friendly and patient! Ive already sent friends to get work done! Oh...and its open 24 hours a day! Im a bartender and work late and love that they are always open! Check it out! Definitely worth it!! And see Agata...shes great!

Professional, clean, and quick! Damon the piercer did a great job carefully marking and piercing second earlobe piercings for my 13 year old. We will return for future piercings!

I stopped by with two of my friends it was pretty late we all ended up getting tattoos by the time it was my turn they were already closing I thought i was going to have to go back the next day but Kenny actually staid extra late just for me to get my tattoo done. He took his time he did a great job. Kenny was very professional. And the staff very friendly. Deffenetly going back in the future.

Went there to get simple matching butterfly tattoos with my cousin … Jade dragon had previously quoted us $150 …but couldn’t get us in there that night . When we got there we assumed it would be approximately the same .. but was $250 each , we still did it but apparently we got an artist not listed in any reviews here “Agata” .. first she ended up having to fill in circles with black instead .. was talking in what I’m thinking was polish to another girl over us the whole time . Now over a week later seeing the healing there are so many patches missing in simple little butterflies.. I wasn’t happy at all with the experience, mind you I am covered in tattoos & been to many shops . Worst experience ever !!! I’m assuming she over priced the tattoos because she doesn’t get very much business. Maybe we were just unlucky with our artist … but it was a $500 lesson learned. I wish I could post pics of what we showed & what we got !!!

Micheal was so great. Me and my sister did nose piercing at this place, I must say People were so professional and clean here. Micheal did mine and my sisters nose piercing and he was so light handed, we didnt even realized it was done already. No pain at all!!

I got my first tattoo done here. I got my tattoo done by Joe. He was extremely nice. He made sure that I understood that finger tattoos have a high chance of fallout and fade. After being informed I decided to go ahead with the tattoo. I came in with a print of the word and font I wanted. He printed out the size I liked and then we got started. It was easy and simple. I will definitely be coming back and be asking for Joe for my next tattoo. He was very friendly and made sure I understood what I was getting myself into, talked me through the process, and checked in with pain when I was getting tattooed. Overall a great experience.

I asked for my chef knife with lily flowers and have a picture I didn’t get what I wanted the artist was very nice and gentle but this isn’t what I asked for and I’m very unhappy. The shading in nice but again it’s not what i wanted and this is my birthday tattoo as well so displeased. Just seems like an older typeOf tattoo when I wanted sumthing delicate and kinda dainty. And for the price of $300 i don’t think it was worth it. I don’t think i would come back to this shopAnd this is my 16th tattoo. Fast work and nice people.

This was my second time getting a tattoo but first time being here! 10/10. I came in and right away was introduced to my artist. I let him see what I wanted and he made sure he had every bit right including size! Poor Manny he probably reprinted my tattoo design 4 times! I had three small tattoos done with him and he was both fast AND fun! He asked before committing and had “angelic touch” haha. Will def come back to Manny in the near future!

My first time going was about a month ago. I was getting a belly button piercing and the staff was very welcoming and even though I was nervous, they were very patient. I was given very specific instructions and we were in and out within 10 minutes! Of course, since it was my first body piercing it hurt a lot for me but they are very clean! I will be coming back!

I dont know where to start!! I have never had such a good experience at a tattoo shop before! This place is really good, the best actually! The staff is friendly and very helpful. They serve customers on a first come first serve type thing and they are very fair (: I had trouble figuring out what kind of piercing I wanted and they were veryyyyy helpful with helping me decide! The staff is just so nice I couldnt believe it. When I would go to other shops the workers were well scum bags and pervs. I love chi town tattoo, I felt very comfortable there and will be returning!!!!!

Went in to get two tattoos done and sent pictures of what I wanted into the artist Joey 2 days before. I never got the text updating me on the drawings like I was told and then when I came in the 2nd tattoo drawing was all wrong. He then refused to do it the way I wanted telling me it didn’t look good artistically. I am an artist too and trust me it would have been cool, so I will be going in to get it done somewhere else. On top of that, the artist I went in to see said that “someone else could probably handle it”. Not going here again.

Took my daughters for ear piercing after several attempts at Claires, followed by infection each time. Well, the level of cleanliness is amazing. Professionalism, customer service, everything. Highly recommend.

I forgot to express my experience, it was very unprofessional. Dude canceled on me twice, not to mention that the ink he put into my body was trash. He was an apprentice, didn’t j keep his schedule and was a terrible artist. I forwarn anyone coming here, be aware. Trash

Got my first cartilage piercing done there today! My piercer was Kassandra, she was extremely patient and very welcoming, especially considering how nervous I was! She was very good with answering the barrage of questions I had, and she seemed very knowledgeable about her practice

I came here to get my second lobe piercings done and its been almost two months since Ive gotten them and they are STILL hurting. Ive cleaned the piercings twice a day with saline spray for two months straight, never touched them or got caught on anything. I was told they were going to be healed 4-6 weeks. Theyre now scabbing and bleeding occasionally. 2 of my other friends who got the same piercer had awful problems as well, including a trip to urgent care to get an earring removed. Totally not coming back.

I got my rook and industrial pierced here. Wes did my rook and Michael did my industrial. They did a great job and were very friendly, and so was the lady at the front desk. If youre under 18 make sure you bring a birth certificate though, or they wont pierce you. I highly recommend this place if youre looking to get pierced

Favorite place by far! Originally went to a different place to get my labret pierced and they messed it up so bad it left terrible scarring. I came here and they were able to repierce it so easily!! The healing process is SO much better this time around as well. Everyone was so nice and made me feel very comfortable. Definitely recommend!

Im really indifferent about this place. Its cool. The parking SUCKS. Pricey. Ignored upon entering. Good art. Scheduled appointment with Rick because he had the most experience and I liked a tattoo he had done on my friend but when I went he was busy apparently watching t.v. so I ended up with the apprentice. It needs a touch up or two. Shading is outside the lines although the picture is decent. One of the other guys came to see the tattoo as he was doing it and commented on a name tattoo I have. He was like *wince*whered you get this done? We can fix this up for you (I thought it looked okay, until he pointed out places I hadnt noticed clearly needed redone). I informed him that I had had the tattoo done there... it was my first tattoo done by them. They charged me $70 at the time and when it was being done

I stopped in for a piercing. Its in my area and looks really cool. The shop its self is indeed super cool. Sadly I had to hunt down someone.to help me. Only to be treated as though they were doing me a huge favor by helping me. And barked when I asked questions about jewelry upgrades. The girl who pierced me seemed bored and uninterested. Id have to think twice before going back.

I got my ears pierced today. I never gotten a piercing nor a tattoo before. I have Trypanophobia: a fear of needles. It’s not intense to the point of nonfunctional, but it does cause me a lot of anxiety and fear. I always wanted earrings, and I would wear magnetic earrings just so I wouldn’t get it pierced. I finally decided to get it pierced today and I was terrified. The closer I was getting the needle in my ear, the more panicked I was. I tried to stay very calm by using my breathing app on my Apple Watch and clutching my bfs hand the tightest I ever could, so I definitely did not the best experience, but from personal problems.However….. CLAIRE was very understanding. She was very patient, very knowledgeable, and did everything flawlessly. It was my first piercing, so I can’t say it was better than others lol, but I trusted her, and she helped me stay calm, even with my fear of needles. CLAIRE is great at what’s she do. She has a great pro-folio of work and experience. She is very flexible in art work and tattoos. Check for CLAIRE.

Michael did a perfect and immaculate second earlobe piercing, patiently photographing and then redrawing the target mark 3 or 4 times before I was satisfied with the proposed location. The healing has been perfect too. I highly recommend going to a professional such as this instead of a mall even for a simple earlobe piercing.

I got my septum pierced. The place was packed for a Saturday night but in a good way. The staff were amazing overall great experience for my first time there. Ive definitely recommended people there since my visit.

I got my first tattoo here back in 2012 by Sean and it still looks good and colorful without any touchups. And I was able to walk in and get one done without an appointment which I very convenient for me being a mom of 2. I wanted to get another and since my first one healed so well I came back here to get my second done. this time Tyler did it for me I just told him what I wanted showed him an example on my phone and he got to sketching free hand. Then made sure he placed it exactly where I wanted it and got to work. Everyone here was very friendly and it was nice and clean. Tyler did a great job and made me feel at home we talked most of the time he was doing it so it didnt feel awkward at all lol. The pain was minimal and so worth it for the end result. the price was good not cheap but i did get a decent sized peice done with good quality. I will defiantly be back for my future tattoos. I highly recommend Tyler he is awesome!!

Got a tattoo from here and it came out nothing like I wanted , I later called back to see if the artist can touch it back up because after it healed it looked faded . I paid close to 500 for it and still wasn’t able to get a hold of that tattoo artist . Definitely would not go back . Save your money and go else where they have the worst customer service after they take your money !!

Spent four hours on a tatoo that should have taken half the time. Over saturated with ink also. The over coloring scarred my arm a little. I will go somewhere else to get it fixed. Its taking forever to heal. Tatooed by Brenten.

The receptionist was very unprofessional, it seemed that she needed to laugh at a customers issue before I signed the waiver. I wish i didnt and had gone to another place.There was music playing kind of loud, so I couldnt really hear what the piercer Barry was saying since he is soft spoken. No issue with Barry that night, but Chi Town Tattoo needs a way better receptionist. I do not recommend this place, even though it is in the Jeff Park area.

Came here to get tattoos with my best friends. To begin with we weren’t even greeted which okay maybe that isn’t a big deal if it’s busy. Three people were just sitting at the front just talking. We all stood there at the front waiting to be attended and no one ever asked if we needed any help. Even when two workers passed us they just ignored us. We waited 30 minutes and left. This isn’t the first incident either the last time we were here it was the same situation and then everyone there except the women piercer had the worst attitude we figured today we’d give them another chance because she was so nice but we were yet again disappointed with their customer service.

My husband and I came in to get matching tatoos. We had beyond the best experience anyone could ask for! Our tatoo artist was Tyler and he was absolutely amazing! He was extremely professional, but was also very friendly and made us feel very comfortable! I would recommend this shop and Tyler as an artist to anyone looking to have work done!

Good tattoo artist , no appointments necessary

Went for a simple tattoo. Have 2 half sleeves already. The tattoo was 5 simple stars. Easy $60 even $80 to up charge me. But artist wanted to charge me $160. Insane what people think they are worth for 10 min of work.

If I could give no stars I would. Im pretty bummed because I got my first tattoo here and it was supposed to be special because it was a tribute to my grandmother who had passed away. Well to begin with the staff is rude and unprofessional. No one greets you and its a while before someone even takes care of you. Everyones attitude is just bad and its like this place is just a place for them to hang rather than work. Anywho I had got my tattoo with Agata in November and after it had healed it looked a little weird and people couldnt recognize what my tattoo was so I decided to go for a touch up. Let me tell you...I wish I hadnt. Agata touched it up but instead of fixing her original mistakes she made it worse. My tattoo looks so bad, I regret coming here and I wish I would have gone elsewhere and actually got my moneys worth. Overpriced for mediocre tattoos.👎👎👎👎👎
