I got my 2 tattoos done here. My first experience here was OK. The second time tho was terrible. I had explained to the tattoo artist exactly what I wanted. It was a name and a heart. He kept telling me the heart wasn’t going to look right the way I wanted it, not sure why it was such a big concern if it was what I WANTED. He proceeded to tatt me and then leaves the heart not filled in when I told him I wanted it filled in. He said it was because it looked better not filled in. After I told him I would much rather have it filled in, he dipped the needle in red ink (the needle still had black on it btw and no he didn’t bother to wipe the black ink off it) and still only colored it in half way because he said it would look better. He looked bothered by me telling him I wanted the heart filled in. The heart did not look red like I wanted it. It was like a maroon color and it healed a maroon color. I was so disappointed, somehow I felt violated? lol I don’t know how to explain the feeling I had. Needless to say I went to get the tattoo removed. I paid maybe $100 for it and $1500+ to remove. Never went back.

On April, 3 2024 I send the onwer a DM on IG for price on a very small tattoo. He didnt respond to my DM on until June, 28 2024. Which I answered him with in minutes trying to set an appointment with him. Until today August,10 2024 I havent had a response from him which I believe is so RUDE for future clients. After waiting so long I decided to check out Metamorph Tattoo Studio in Wicker Park. Peter answer my DM within minutes. I was able to set an appointment in less than a week. Im so happy and loving my first tattoo Thanks to Metamorph Tattoo Studio.♥️

My tattoo did not take ink well and maybe got a slight infection. I have over 50 hours of tattoos...never had this sort of problem. It is completely healed. My wife got the same tattoo and it looks exactly the same. Look at the state of it. I got this November 14th so its long healed. Our artists name was Nuco. He went over these areas twice even where he had missed spots. Not sure if that was the cause. My wife has had three new tattoos since then and none of hers look like this except this one. We will have to have a local artist re-do most of the work. We were told smaller tattoos were not able to be done where our artist could have done this four times smaller, the price was very high. $200 each for less than an hour of work. My tattoo shop locally that will fix it said it was a $75 tattoo at best.

Nuco has been a a skilled tattooist and artist for many many years and his work speaks for itself. Hes done numerous work on both me and my wife and we will forever continue to go to him for any future tattoos as well as recommend him to our friends.

Micah did a PHENOMENAL job. I love how I gave him a simple reference photo and he added so many more beautiful things to it. Definitely coming back and well worth 200.

Nina is fantastic and you should definitely let her tattoo you. She does beautiful, bold and clean work gently and quickly, and she’s also an A+ human. Give her and the shop your money; leave with a great new piece of body art. Then go back and do it again. And again. And again....and again.

I have been getting tattooed by Nuco since he worked in West Town. He is a true artist and very creative. Thats why hes been so successful he can do many styles well. I have over 10 tattoos from him and plan on some more. I like the old school single needle Black and Gray hes awesome at shading.

Im so impressed, Nick was my Tattoo Artist. I met NUCO, left the shop with art, that has great meaning to me, and two plants. It doesnt get any better than that. I recommend Studio One, to anyone who wants beautiful and caring art work.

Manga is the man. Booked my appointment abiut one month in advance and arrived about 15 minutes early. He started the paperwork as soon as I arrived and once that was completed he proceeded to draw out the design. Im not a chatter but was extremely quiet simply because I was nervous, this was my first time getting a tattoo. He included me in every process to make sure the design had my approval and asked for input several times. Once he placed the stencil on my arm he realized he has more room so he added more to the tattoo. Took him about one hour or so to do the tattoo and I am extremely happy with it. Cannot wait until it heals.UPDATE manga has moved to another studio check his Instagram for his new location.

Very friendly place. Nina helped me to accommodate my time and made the design in less than 24 hours. It was my first tattoo experience but totally awesome !!!

These guys are awesome. went in and talked to them about a design I had, they looked it over, cleaned it up and Manga went to town when I went back in to get it done. Awesome work. the whole crew was friendly.

My tattoo is peeling and what you see is most of my skin. It hardly looks like a tattoo! It was initially swollen, which has NEVER happened to me before & I have several tattoos with color! It looks more like a job gone bad. My tattoo has a lot of color and the ink apparently did not take well! So the red ink is peeling off & you see my ACTUAL skin. It looks rather infected and I’m going to go to the doctor to make sure it’s NOT! It certainly does not look like a tattoo at this point!
