I went there to get my nose pierced. Excellent service!!! Everyone was very professional, friendly and welcoming.I went back to get my nose piercing changed. Saturn did an outstanding job, quick and painless. He was very personable with a great sense of humor!!I would highly recommend this place!!! Very very pleasant experience!!!

Went to get a $20 nose piercing and it came out great. I’m going to go back to get the other side done. Mike is the one who did it for me. My man was super chill and very professional, he pierced my nose within 2 minutes barely felt anything. Everyone who works there are cool ppl they make me feel comfortable being there

I loved the atmosphere, I was getting my ears pierced for the first time yesterday (also my first piercing) and it was done so great! It really felt like it took 30 seconds! I was told when I could change it, how to take care of it, and it was just an awesome experience. The piercing barely hurt, and they were so precautious and made me feel so much more positive about getting it. My ears dont hurt at all, and it was just an amazing experience overall. If youre thinking about getting a piercing here, just do it! Most likely coming back if I ever wanna get another piercing!

I love the atmosphere @ THE TAT CAVE It was my first time getting my nose pierced and Mike was my piercer and he made the entire process so much better, he’s very funny and has a way of making you feel welcome/very comfortable. He’s very knowledgeable and told me everything he was doing before he did it, very quick and surprisingly not painful at all. It’s been 3 days now my nose doesn’t hurt at all and is healing fine. Upon entering I was greeted with a smile definitely would recommend this place. I’ll definitely be returning soon for a tattoo 🤗🥰

Been going to Kidd and the Tat Cave for every one of my tattoos and have nothing but a great experience and exceptional finished product every time! Kidd is an absolute professional and everyone in the Shop jokes around and has a great time there. Truly feel like a family friend every time I walk in. Excellent place for tattoos! I got my center eyebrows pierced here and mike did a wonderful job !! you could rrly tell that he put a lot of effort into lining them up just right, and i really appreciated his consideration :) will def be coming back!

If youre a woman. I definitely do not recommend. The piercer made uncomfortable comments while piercing me, theyve cut me when tattooing me, and theyre super predatory. Good luck. Try pink rhino tattoo!

I just went today to get a nose piercing and Mike was amazing. I was so nervous because I hate needles, right away he was joking around with me (he could probably tell I was nervous) and even when I went in the room he joked around. The piercing was fast and so painless. I also had in a belly button piercing done a while ago but I couldn’t get it out. I asked him if he could give it a try and he got it! Will definitely come back for more piercings done here.

Mike is the absolute BEST! He pierced my nose about 5/6 years ago and I let it close up! I came back to get it pierced again today and he remembered me! He’s so pleasant to talk to, funny lol and he made me so comfortable just as he did years ago!! Give that man a raise lol

Today marks the 4th time I have visited this shop. I have ALWAYS been treated fairly and with the utmost respect. Their artistry and professionalism is 2nd to none.Speaking of professionalism, while I was there for my appointment, a young lady came into the shop for a piercing. She experienced trouble with the QR scan code. The employee helping her TRIED to help. She started getting belligerent with the employee. He directed her to the owner, without any apparent success to her issue. She immediately went out to her car and posted a very negative review and called back to further complain. Again, Kidd Joe tried to resolve her issue unsuccessfully. After the third call, thats when Kidd had to put an end to the harassment and flat out said he didnt want her business and told her not to call back. At no time was he, his employees or customers being disrespectful or racist.I want to clarify I have not been paid to say this. I was a bystander, and if this was MY shop it would have ended with the cops being called. I travel an hour to get here because of the cleanliness, the camaraderie, aattention to detail and professionalism. This shop did nothing to deserve this negativity. I fully support their actions.The Tat Cave is a first class place and I highly recommend their services.

For my first time here I had an amazing experience. Kidd Joe put amazing detail into my gorilla piece and I couldn’t have asked for a better artist for it! I highly recommend going here for tattoos not only for great quality work but also for the experience between client and artist and professionalism that they have here! I’ll be back!

Definitely recommend this shop! I’ve had several piercings done here, and Mike is awesome. Hes funny, and I love his sarcasm! He explained everything, and wrote down what I’ll need to change out my jewelry to gauge wise in the future. Can’t beat the price for piercings either. The shop itself is cool, and the entire staff is super friendly. Definitely worth the drive out!

Got my septum redone and came with people getting their nose/septum done. Mike/dave/tom (whatever his name is) was awesome but he wouldn’t accept a tip!!! Highly recommend going here.

Clean,nice place.Didnt have to wait long,even though they have a lot of customers. My daughter got septum piercing and i got 2 ear piercings,very quick,minimal pain.Also isnt expensive like most places.I would recommend it and would also get more piercings there in the future.I just wish i knew about this place long ago.

I got a tattoo done when I turned 18 and it was a simple dragon tattoo on my hand/wrist I was told it would be like 180 or so. I had came in and everything was normal until he finished, it was less than 1 hour #1 I thought it was normal because it was first tattoo. Then he tells me it’ll be like 200 I had gave him 300$ in total 200 plus 20 for tip because I didn’t have change, #2 I asked for my change back and he acted like he didn’t hear me, i just wanted to get out of there so I didn’t ask for the money back again. He told me to come back for a retouch, but I never came back. My tattoo was not worth 300$, I didn’t even get it colored or detailed. It’s just the outline of a dragon and took less than an hour. I forgot to mention I’m Hispanic, I’ve gotten piercings here before but when I got my tattoo the vibe was off, different and I felt like I didn’t belong.

This red neck shop ! Dont mix business and politics trump memorabilia everywhere I was so uncomfortable I heard tattoo artist swearing at his client as he was tattooing him. As soon as I walked in the guy talked me in a very condescending way ! Dont go here !

Great experience! Came in 10 min till close and they were super chill. Saturn did great. Got me and my two friends in and out in less than 10 min.

It’s crazy how a 13 year old and pierce me and not get infected but you leave racist comments, neglect your customers and don’t even know how to peirce properly they have RUINED people’s bodies becuase they think something is “embarrassing” to put on another person how immature

Really happy with the experience I had there although the first time my tattoo didn’t come out the way I had expected, Kidd Joe the owner had called me because of my review and asked me to come in to fix it, I really love a place that goes out of their way to make sure that their customers leave happy with what they got, definitely recommend!

I’ve had numerous piercings from many places and this was by far the fastest and smoothest a piercing has ever gone for me my piercer Saturn was calm, considerate, and even joked with me a bit to help me feel more comfortable and you can’t beat the prices and quality. The entire staff was very helpful and friendly i’ll definitely be coming back here the next time i want something done.

Horrible & rude I had asked one of the guys if he could help me with the barcode because my phone wasnt scanning It to do the paperwork and he just looked at me like if I was dumb or something and didnt even want to help! I wouldnt want to return ever! There helpless! & Yes I felt uncomfortable because I got the vibe there were racist.!

I came in to get a spur of the moment tattoo and Kidd Joe was available, I didn’t have to wait. He is very professional and friendly. I sent him my reference photo and he sketched it up and printed 2 sizes for me to choose from. It only took a few minutes to do mine but we chatted the whole time. My friend had gone to the shop earlier in the week so I knew it was a good place. I don’t live around the area anymore but when I come back and visit again, I would definitely go there again.

I ended up coming to Tat Cave to get my piercings done after the lady at Forever Ink was rude to me on the phone and I saw someone recommend this place. Let me just tell you, best choice I have ever made. The receptionist was professional, and very kind like yasss honey, the lady at Forever Ink can learn from you on how to properly do your job LMAO. Her hair is also such a pretty blue omg like I was obsessed. I ended up getting my nose and belly pierced by Mike! He is such a goofy guy, def not for the softies but he was really nice and even helped me with my belly piercing since it had closed a week prior! The next day, my nose piercing fell out cuz im a dummy who wasnt careful so i went back to get it fixed and I didnt get his name but he was nice enough to do it for me! I definitely plan on coming back. $20 for piercings with jewelry included, DONT SLEEP ON TAT CAVE PEOPLEEEE! great customer service, great prices.

I just got my belly pierced and my ears pierced and Mike (the person who did my piercings) was the best! He was quick and always tells you what he’s going to do before piercing you. Joe had tatted my entire arm to a almost half sleeve and runs his shop as professional as they come. I always get compliments from all the tattoos he’s done on me. One of a kind guy highly recommend; he does not drag with tattoos either! He locks into his sessions and gets down to business

This review is mainly for Mike!!! I’ve been coming here for years to get various piercings and each time I left extremely satisfied and happy. Mike has been my piercer every time and he is THE best I’ve ever been pierced by. He is very knowledgeable about all piercings/placements and super experienced. He walks you through each step of the process and has such a funny yet calming spirit that you almost forget you’re about to be pierced! I have felt no pain with any of my piercings thanks to Mike being super quick. I’ve recommended a ton of friends to the Tat Cave and they all had amazing piercing experiences. As for the overall vibe of the place - super welcoming and cool! All the staff and artists make for the best possible experience whether you’re getting tatted or just pierced. This is the only piercing/tattoo place I’ll ever go to as well as recommend to others!

Love it here. Clean and friendly. Fairly priced. Chris and Pat have both done my tats and They are excellent. My recent one was done by Pat. It was a color tat and took about 3 hours. He did an amazing job and blended colors perfectly. He made my tattoo idea come to life. I will definetly be going back in the future for more tattoos.

Review is for piercing experience: did a walk in for two piercings on a Saturday. Friendly staff and Saturn was friendly and easy to talk to. He marked out the piercings and showed me prior. Piercings are $20 each with cash and just plain silver stainless steel jewelry is included. I was in and out in just about 10-15 mins or so!

I remember going to TattCave 12 years ago for my first and only tattoo. 😆 Here we are several years later, almost a full sleeve and piercings. Joe, his sons and Mike have been nothing but professional, funny, great stories and been treated like family. I have recommended several friends who have been happy and pleased with their services. Also VERY clean. I observe their methods and know I have nothing to worry about. I only go here and give them a 5 star rating. 👍

Kidd MF Joe is my dude. Always takes great care of me and great conversation while being tatted. Got some food to eat during our session and let me take a break when I needed it. Artwork, especially black and white is 10/10. Always going to come back for my tats to my guy. Shop is super clean and has awesome artwork on the walls and collectibles. Great vibe. Reasonable prices and even my ears got pierced here. Lots of my friends attend tat cave and if you approach with respect and come correctly, you will get well taken care of.

A while ago I got my belly button pierced and it was such a good experience the piercer (Mike) was very kind and made me feel comfortable and kept it quick! I had such a great experience I came back a few weeks later to get a tattoo and again the atmosphere was great all the employees here are funny as hell kept everything light hearted. The tattoo artist (Vinnie) was great, very funny and quick and helped my two friends out (it was their first tattoos)! This again was such a good experience I went again a few days later for another tattoo and Vinnie again was super cool and the other piercer (Saturn) was very kind to the 4 other friends that I brought when they got pierced. The employees keep it real which I appreciate and I love the way the talk to each other their bond is great which adds to the experience!! I will be back here not only for the good times but the fair pricing as well :)

I have been coming here for literally everything I have done. I have gotten my nose and ears pierced here, as well as several tattoos! I will never go to another place. As for everyone saying that their piercings are getting infected, you need to find what works for you and your piercing. Everyone’s body is different! You also need to be consistent….Anyways, I love this place and Joe has always taken care of me and every time I get something done, I’m treated so well. He is very detail oriented and makes sure you are comfortable the entire time! I will recommend this place over and over again! I couldn’t find any more pictures of my tattoos lol

Saturn is the worst piercer Ive been to. If I could give zero stars I literally would. How do you mess up being told to pierce in a specific spot? Never again!

It’s a great place for piercings the guys are true professionals. I never got any infected piercings. They make you feel comfortable and in good hands. If you’re scared of getting a piercing they’ll talk you through it.

I went in as a minor to get my belly pierced and they allowed it. All I needed was my parents ID and to fill out a form. Staff is friendly and the whole process was quick! Definitely recommend

2nd time coming on Dec 3 and it was Mike who pierced me this time. Quickly explained the situation where a hospital visit cost me my new eyebrow piercing (never gave me it back). Luckily, Mike understood and pierced it just as quick. Felt complete lol. Only place I recommend at this point 🫡

Out of all the shops Ive been to, this one is by far my favorite. Vinnie did my one tattoo, booked again with him for my birthday. Had my septum pierced. Healed phenomenally The owner has jokes for days. Ill gladly continue to drive 2+ hours to ONLY go to this shop for work done. If you havent been here, definitely check it out!

Got my rook+nipples pierced by saturn, was a comfortable environment and quick!

I received multiple piercings here (industrial, Tragus, bilateral ear lobes), and even walked in to have my piercings changed with no problem. Staff is very professional and kind. The owner Joe aka Kidd was my tattoo artist for a very meaningful tattoo I wanted on me representing the loss of my beloved dog, Diesel. Kidd actually listens, takes the time out to draw the tattoo, and makes sure he accommodates your liking. He is always open to change and flexibility. He is very educated and uses aseptic technique at all times with his tattoos. I have multiple tattoos and this tattoo done by Kidd personally was my fastest healing process yet!! I would 100% go back to Kidd for any tattoo or questions/concerns. I already have my next meaningful tattoo scheduled with him! I would recommend him to anyone. You can trust him and his shop.

Staff members that greeted us were very nice. I just have a question and I’m very concerned about it not just for myself, but for others. Why are people charged an extra five dollars for each piercing if they’re using a credit card? You only have one credit card being scanned one time, so why are you charging multiple times to get that extra five dollars from each customer? Would really like to know.

The Tat Cave is your one stop shop for tattoos by great artists. I have always felt welcomed going into the shop and was always greeted and treated with respect. Kidd Joe (owner and my personal artist of choice) has always been very attentive to what I want and does not shove suggestions down my throat unless asked. Kidd has basically tatted my entire arm sleeve and has done tremendous work. I would absolutely, in a heartbeat recommend Kidd Joe’s Tat Cave Tattoo to anyone shopping for some new ink or a piercing.

I was a bit nervous for my piercing and Saturn wasn’t necessarily the nicest guy. I didn’t think to ask beforehand, but I also wasn’t told that I’d be getting metal ball jewelry as starter jewelry for my two lobe and cartilage piercings. Definitely not my vibe at all and not thrilled that I have to wear this for the next 3 months 🙄🙄🙄 But, what can I say? You get what you pay for. If you want a more supportive and welcoming environment for piercings I would suggest paying the extra $15 and going to Rowan.

As soon as we walked in, Brittany greeted us with so much glee! We felt so welcomed. Mike is also welcoming and cool. Made us feel welcomed also! After going to a few different shops and they were all horrible with greeting to the point we didn’t even stay for a service! This shop is overall amazing from beginning to end! My friend put me on this shop. I just went with her the first time to support her but I ended up talking to the owner for a while and coincidentally he was available that day for 2 small tattoos. Kidd did a great job with something that meant so much to me then I came back for 2 more about a month later. He is a GREAT artist and owner from what I can tell so far. The shop is also really fun and decorated. Kidd is very honest and to the point but open to changes and I respect that. I could tell he loves his business and wants to make sure customers are satisfied when they leave. In a matter of a month I was able to come for 4 tattoos and feel very comfortable in the shop. Still healing as you can probably see by pics. He said if any issues, come back, no problem so that is good customer service! I will be back soon!

Mike was super friendly and funny which made the experience go a lot smoother. I only waited a few minutes to be seen and the process itself was very quick and clean. He wore new gloves and used new pads to sterilize my ear. Everywhere else Ive looked at charges $60 or more for the industrial, it was only $25 because we paid with a debit card. If we paid in cash it wouldve only been $20 which is incredible. ALL piercings have that same price. Love this place so much, will definitely come back for all other tattoos and piercings!

I first went to The Tat Cave in January with my best friend, we each got one smaller tattoo. After noticing a minor mistake with my tattoo, I was really worried there would be no way to fix it. I contacted the owner, Kidd Joe, through Instagram a few months later once I was back in the area. I just went back in today and he was incredibly understanding and helpful! He already had multiple solutions drawn up by the time I arrived and helped me right away. He was even willing to stay past his usual time and tattoo me at that moment. The fix is super cute and I now love my tattoo! It was a really reassuring and easy session, he provided a great solution to my issue, and I left incredibly happy!

I’ve gone 2 separate times, and have been gotten 3 tattoos here! My first time Vinny tattooed me and did an amazing job and was very chill the second time around was a few days ago with George also super cool squeezed my cousin and I into his books last minute and worked was extremely patient with us. Highly recommend tattoos aren’t over priced and good are good quality!

I had an amazing experience here. I went in to set up an appointment. He asked me to email him my ideas. When I came in the day of my appointment, he had the whole thing drawn up perfectly. He was very polite, easy going, and nice to chat with. I will definitely go back and ask for him to do my next tattoo.

Customer service is super dope! I was having trouble putting a piercing back in and came back to the shop and was helped instantly. Not only was it quick and easy but they also made me laugh in the process!

Mike pierced me and he was great! I’ve been working with Pat on my shin tattoos. Both men are incredible!!! Super friendly, comforting, professional, make me feel at ease. They both tell stories and that really helps distract me from the pain and I appreciate that more than they know. Pat is thorough and makes sure I’m getting exactly what I want. Came here for a few piercings. I was referred by my friend who got his nose pierced here. Mike did 4 piercings for me and did an awesome job. It was fast, not painful and exactly what I wanted. Would definitely recommend this place and plan on coming back for futures piercings.

Mike, the piercer on staff is AWESOME. He’s careful, quick, clean and an all around friendly guy. They operate on a first come first serve basis, but I’ve never experienced a long wait time. I’ve had several piercings done at the Tat Cave over the years and have always left satisfied with not only my piercing, but the overall service provided.

Wish I knew of this place years ago! Kid Joe is a badass tattoo artist which is why it takes weeks to get in but we’ll worth the wait!! He just finished the 2nd tattoo he’s done for me and can’t wait for him to do the 3rd, 4th ect… Really clean and super chill environment!! It would be a mistake to go anywhere else!

2nd time here. Mike did my vertical labret. Hes very clean so is the whole facility. They even give you a care card when you leave so you know how to take care of your new piercings. 10/10 recommend

I’ve had my nose pierced here twice before, so I decided to have the other side pierced. I was very disappointed with how Saturn pierced my nose, he completely missed the purple dot where I said I wanted it, and it was also horribly crooked. Now I have to completely take it out and go somewhere else. Not to mention my boyfriend was with me and he felt discriminated against, and this isn’t the first time I’ve heard of discrimination at this place.

I got a piercing there over a year ago and it still hasnt healed properly because they pierced it wrong. And there have been so many other negative stories about this shop. DO NOT GO HERE! You are better off paying the extra money at a good shop with no complications.

Mike was so sweet and gentle with my first nose piercing. Made me feel super comfortable and made me laugh to relax. So nice to talk to him afterwards! Will always recommend Mike for anyone who needs a piercing! :)

I got a tattoo with a friend, and they were so accommodating and fast. It was both of our first tattoos, and I highly recommend!! They are very clean and they know what theyre doing. All issues we encountered were our own faults, and they were so understanding and kind. I did think the tattoo I got was priced a little high, but I have no knowledge as to how they should be priced. Overall, a wonderful experience!

Not going to lie I was a bit skeptical about getting a 20$ piercing, but im glad I did! I got a belly ring and a Industrial bar and my mother got her nose pierced. mike was our piercer and he was very funny he talked us through every step and was fast and painless and he talked to us about our piercing aftercare as well I’ll definitely be coming back for future piercings with mike he was truly amazing at his job! It’s been a couple days now and my piercings don’t hurt at all and already look like there healing nicely, I’m super pleased with the results as well as my mother ! Thanks mike!

I went here with no expectations to be accepted as a walk-in because it was a busy Saturday afternoon. I spoke to Joe (Kidd) and he was able to work me into his busy schedule and accommodate to my needs. It was a super chill process and within 5 minutes I had a solid spot for the end of the night. When I got there he was immediately ready to work on my arm and was super quick with his set up. Unlike most tattoo places, this shop and the artists felt genuinely involved in the whole process of getting a tattoo.The tattoo took about 40 minutes and went very smooth. The artist made me feel comfortable by talking to me while he was working on my piece. My artist did sacrifice his own personal time to fit me into his busy schedule. When I asked him why he said he likes making people happy. He even lowered the price down by $40 when the tattoo was done because it didn’t take as much work as expected. With that being said I 100% recommend tatt cave for any future tattooing or piercing purposes!

Have gone to tat cave in the past for piercings, went recently for tattoo that vinnie did. He was very comforting. Even though it was a quick tattoo he made sure to ask me if i was okay throughout the whole session. I walked in and out a deposit and same day within an hour Vinnie was able to take me. 10/10 would recommend! I’ll be back soon.

Got my septum done here for $20, also this was my first piercing. You sign a waiver and ask for ID. Dave did a great job, super chill and funny. Everything was clean, was done in 5 minutes, and no pain. He pierced my sweet spot. Told me how to clean it and answered my questions. Its been a couple days and no infections. Definitely going to get another ring piercing here soon.

Got my nose pierced last week here. My guy was fast, funny because I was a little nervous, and explained what I needed to do to keep it clean (with a little bag with information because you know I forgot the directions as soon as he was saying it!) I wont say it was painless, but it was fast. He asked if I was okay with the placement first, and then quickly made it happen. So far, everything has been healing well and I love my piercing!!

I got two cartilage piercings in the same ear from another piercing shop a couple of months ago and needed to change the jewelry to something plastic since I am having at CT scan this week. I bought jewelry off Amazon and tried removing the jewelry myself and couldnt so I stopped into the Tat Cave. I was seen pretty quickly by the piercer who told me the jewelry in my ear was actually too small! The piercings were hard to get out because my ear was so swollen around the jewelry. Needless to say they was pretty painful coming out, but it was over quickly. Changing jewelry is $10 per piercing and CASH ONLY which I didnt know. The piercer was really nice about me only having my card, so I will definitely tip well next time I go in! The Tat Cave has a large selection of jewelry and their piercings are $20 so Im definitely coming back.

The people here are great. Exceptional place to get you piercings. They are very knowledgeable and I feel they go above and beyond. I feel all who work here really care about the work they do unlike some places where they just want to get you in and out. I have had many piercings here and all are great. I will be getting inked here soon as well. Definitely a must go to place.

I have 5.5 tattoos and 2 piercings from Kid Joes Tat Cave. Three of those tattoos were done by Kidd and two were done by Juan. Both of my piercings were done by Mike. I have never been more satisfied with the overall service of a tattoo parlor. From the minute you walk in to the Tat Cave, you are greeted and your questions are answered quickly with efficiency. All the employees are very polite and nice people who truly enjoy their jobs. Each time I got a tattoo from there was an enjoyable experience. Customer service is key . I went with my friend to get his ear pierced . The man who do piercing was really rude and i did not feel welcomed in their establishment. I went to consider getting something but after dealing with him , I’m fine . I’ll pass . I will not be spending my money somewhere else . You would expect a tattoo shop to be upbeat and friendly. I’m getting all my piercings done here from now on. I love the pricing for piercings here. Mike did two piercings on me, my septum and the side of my nose. He was really friendly, nice, and professional. He kept a conversation with me which was nice so it distracted me from the pain.

I had work done by a couple different artists (not @ Tat Cave), but was never really happy with any of it. After several mediocre tattoos, a friend of mine introduced me to Kidd Joe (about 3 years ago) and he’s been my one & only artist ever since! Not only is he a cool cat, he’s an amazing artist. The shop is the cleanest I’ve ever seen and the atmosphere is great. If you’re looking for quality work & great people, go to the Tat Cave.

Tat Cave is hands down my favorite shop to get piercings and tattoos! The shop smells clean, looks clean, and is clean! Which is very important in a tattoo and piercing shop. All the employees have light and fun attitudes but are still serious and professional when it comes to work and art. Great artists! Ive personally had many piercings done at the Tat Cave and all of them have turned out clean and well done. I recently got a tattoo done on my foot by Bruno and he did such a wonderful job. He made extra time to fit me in, had a great personality, and my tattoo was never even swollen and didnt hurt a bit after! I got a belly button piercing here. The people that work there made it a fun, exciting experience for me. It was affordable (20$) compared to the other places around this area. The ring was included in the overall price. They also educated me on how to properly take care of one/clean it, the products to use, and where to get it. The Tat Cave is the place I usually get my work and piercings done. Kidd is my usual artist who is extremely talented and Mike is an awesome piercer. Theyre friendly and funny and their prices are really reasonable. Ive never been disappointed with anything Ive gotten done at The Tat Cave. The first time I went the employees were fighting in the shop so I left. The second time I went I got my nose pierced and it seemed fine but I then had a piercer at another shop tell me that my piercing was placed in the crease and any professional piercer should know not to put it there. She told me that it would take a year to heal and since it was misplaced it would always be a problematic piercing. Don’t waste your money, do your research and go somewhere else

Walked in today to ask about a small tattoo I wanted to get. They had a opening and did my tattoo right then. They were very helpful and professional. I felt very comfortable here . Rude when I walked in and said i was the one that called. Pointed to a dude and told me talk to him. Pierced my lip lower than what was marked and when I confronted them I was told bring the jewelry back in after taking it and letting it heal( about a month) and we will charge you half of what you paid. I CANNOT get this jewelry off and 3 other people have tried. I told them and they were rude. I left a bad review on their Facebook page and they told they said they would redo it for free but that’s not what i was originally told. Told me I was lying and no need to be upset. I can be upset if I want. My piercing is bad, not done right and they’re being rude. I highly do not recommend going here.

The Tat cave made my 1st tattoo gotten in a shop and it will definitely be the only place i visit for future work. I went in a couple times, once to get a tattoo by Kidd Joe of a piece i drew up that came out amazing, and afterward to get my friend a piercing. The atmosphere up there is so cool and laid back. The guys up there were awesome and rocking to Kid Rock and Eminem. Id recommend this place to anybody looking for good, clean, and professional work and artists that are also cool people to know. I’ve had 3 piercings done here and this shop needs to work on customer service. The owner is fairly rude, the only person who made any effort is the girl in the front. I was pierced my Saturn and he was also rude. Wont be going back and I would advise you to save your time and money and fine somewhere else.

Joe is a true artist no BS guy make sure that you have everything exactly the way you want it. While sitting in his chair I’ve heard to him consult with other prospective walk in customers and helping them understand what would be good or may not be good for them so they are educated and making a good choice

I was shocked especially being in Chicago. The only people wearing masks were the customers. If you don’t believe in masks as an individual whatever, but as a business... Since this establishment didn’t respect the health of its customers I’m going to plug one that will and will match the $20 piercings for cash $25 card. They even give a free piercing after getting 6 done. Forever Ink on Western.

Did a walk-in for a Tuesday at 3ish-4ish and it wasnt busy. They took us in right away and asked us what we wanted done piercing or tattoo. I got piercings and they are a reasonable price as my friend got a tattoo and it was also a reasonable price. The guy that took me was super nice and explained everything was going to be done as he does piercings. The overall first time visit was great!

You get what you pay for. You pay $20 for a tongue piercing and leave with $20 worth of problems and issues. The piercer didn’t take his time at all and rushed it, he ended up hitting one of my veins and I bled on and off for more than 3 days. And I mean I BLED. It would take atleast 30 minutes before I could get it to stop so I ended up having to go to the ER. Don’t get a tongue piercing here. The environment is cool and all, the artists and piercers are super chill but there’s just some things they shouldn’t be allowed to do for $20.

I been here 3times this year for a nose piecing and it wasnt worth coming here I spend $73.00 they are very rude and they talk about the customers behind our backs! It wasnt even 5mins I bend down to tie my shoe and the nose piece came right out so yeah this place is awful!!!

I have been there before for piercings and thought they were good and very nice, I didnt feel like I walking into some shop I wasnt supposed to be in. I went last Friday to get a tattoo in remembrance of my grandma that has just past. I walked in and Chris took me right away. He did an amazing job! He is very light handed when it comes to tattooing. I have gotten tattoos before and always felt like they were ripping my skin apart! I am very satisfied with my tattoo and will defiantly go back there again for more!!! Thanks guys!

Went in for piercings on Sunday. Process was fine. Piercer was nice as always. Got my lobes (2nd holes) and conch pierced. I was under the assumption that lobes were considered one piercings as that was how I had been charged in the past. When the owner read my original review he clairified that lobes are considered separate piercings and was I charged for each in addition to the conch. Appreciated that he responded so quickly and was willing to rectify the situation.

Got my first tattoo about a year ago here, I feel like a jerk being unable to remember the guys name who did mine. I was nervous going in because Im obviously young and dont look like I have any idea what Im doing (because I dont, haha) but the guys were super nice and worked with me. They took the time to explain pricing and what size my image was going to have to be to compensate for the level of detail. They were cool about my friends sitting in and watching and I dont remember them being behind on scheduling or anything, granted there were only one or two other customers in there at the time. Im planning on going back within the next few weeks for my next tattoo.

In total I’ve gotten 5 piercings from tat cave and every time it’s always really quick, easy, service is great and I’ve never gotten infected or anything like that. Definitely recommend for piercings and will most definitely come back!

Mike pierced my my cartilage, and he was fantastic!! He was kind, funny, and explained the process thoroughly, and answered all my questions. I was concerned about finding a good place and after this experience I would go no where else. I am happy to recommend this place to others.

I got my nose pierced here and everything was great. The piercer gave me aftercare instructions as soon as we were finished and I was on my way. My piercing fell out multiple times BUT they were all my fault as I kept getting them caught on clothing, towels, etc. Came back to the shop a few days in a row as I have trouble putting the jewelry in myself. They do not charge to put it back in. I’ve bought jewelry from other stores but have had reactions to the other jewelry resulting in keloid bumps but the nose stud provided by the shop has NEVER given me any bumps or marks. The nose studs are surgical grade steel and very sterile. They look great too as I have seen other shops do a generic ball on the end of their nose stud, Tat Cave’s have (at the time of my piercing) a little “diamond” or “gem”, whatever you want to call it, making it look great and subtle!

Worst place ever. The owner joe is very arguementive and immature when asked any piercing related questions. He sweared at me on the phone & hung up twice. Ive gotten 5 piercings from here and all got grossly infected. I followed up with him and he tells me to use body wash to clean it. (Poor advice)I wouldnt recommend anyone go here. He laughed at my review then blocked me on Facebook. I didnt think I would be treated this way after being a loyal customer for 6+years

I came in for my first tattoo ever and am extremely happy with how it came out. I went to George and he was able to do my Saint Michael tattoo to perfection. Very reasonably priced as well.

Tat cave in by far my favorite place to go for tattoos and piercings. This as been the only place Ive gone for anything. All the employees are so nice and makes the experience fun and relaxing. I have been to a few shops over the years and I have to say The Tat Cave is the best. The few times I have gone in for ink and have not had a appointment I havent had to wait very long and the prices are very fair and honest. This isnt a place where there are 5 artists sitting around doing nothing, eating, watching tv, and giving you a look for interrupting them and making you wait till they decide to move. The prices are fair and not one rate for one customer and then a different one for another. Kidd is also involved in the community, which is nice to see a business do. The artists at the shop are very talented and friendly. I highly recommend checking them out.

Ive received tattoos all over the city. Never being blown away by a spot or an artist until I randomly walked into Kidd Joes Tat Cave last night. I can honestly say that Ill never go anywhere else. Nice, clean, shop with a great staff. I knew nothing about Joe when I sat in the chair. Only after leaving amazed by the quality of work and doing some research did I realize how lucky I was to have had a tattoo done by him. Hes a true artist and the Tat Cave is now officially my go to shop for tattoo work.

I have been going to Joe for nearly 20 years. My wife, daughters and entire extended family as well. I cant even begin to count the number of tattoos and piercings. Including tongue, industrial, tragus, rook, ears and nose. All when properly cared for not a single issue. The Tat Cave is by far one of the cleanest shops I have ever seen. Sterilization and safety protocols are perfect. I have also met people who refuse to accept personal responsibility for lack of care. They only want to blame the shops and stores that did it. I have ZERO reservations recommending The TAT Cave and giving it 5 solid stars. Best in Chicago and surrounding.

I came to the Tat Cave to get my family Coat of Arms done and I had a very specific and detailed vision of how I wanted to make it a sleeve. All I had to do was tell Kidd Joe what I wanted and his artistic ability came to life! His sketch up of what I requested was even better than what I had imagined I wanted. There isnt a day that goes by that someone doesnt comment on my sleeve and the amount of detail there is and how great of shadowing work that was done. I have recommended so many people to Kidd and will continue doing so. Im looking forward to getting back in to get the color finished and to start on my next tat.

Ive been going to the Tat Cave pretty much since they opened. Its a very clean shop with professional artists. Joe has done 7 of my 10 tattoos and I wish he had done the first 3. I design my own tattoos and Joe has made them art that I will be proud to have on my body for a life time.

Went in for a small tattoo, super basic and small. Ive gotten other tattoos so I know how to take care of them properly, but this one just did not turn out good. One side is thicker than the other, there are gaps in the outline, and it looks really faded. Apart from the bad quality of the tattoo, the atmosphere there is very weird. Thank you Joe! I came in for a Batman Signal tattoo and it came out great. Joe drew up something for me and took all my ideas and incorporated them into my tattoo. Its always best to work with great artist who know their craft. The price was reasonable and the service was excellent. I will not be going to another tattoo, this is the best one in Chicago.

This is my third time coming here the first two time got my conch and my snug pierced the third time to have my jewelry change and Saturn has been great the three time I been here very friendly and professional even the other tattoos artist and employees there are friendly and welcoming my new my favorite tattoo place

Went here back in December for a nose piercing. Lost the jewelry for it today and thought I could get another one and have them help me put it back in cause it was only out for a couple hours. Guy refused and said it was irritated , wanted me to come back in 3 weeks so he could re pierce it and charge me for it again. Got more jewelry at Spencers and put it in myself.No redness. no infection.No more coming here.

I got my nose piercing & my industrial here in September. My nose piercing was ok for a while but then it started growing a bump & it would never go away! My industrial bar was touching my ear so I went to go ask about it because I’m pretty sure it’s not supposed to cause an indent in your ear & the piercer said it was just “swelling.” I took out my nose piercing & went to a different tattoo shop to get my industrial checked. He ended up telling me the piercer at tat cave should’ve never pierced my ear because it wasn’t folded the right way for an industrial AND that their my nose stud was way too high & was getting a bump due to cheap jewelry!!! DONT GO HERE my ear literally now has an indent!!! He pierced me knowing I couldn’t have an industrial .

Came to get my rook pierced. Saturn was in on the day I went. He was super clean super professional really great guy. Will definitely be coming back!

My best friend got a piercing here and simply asked if a refund was possible because her ear was infected days after. The owner started calling them snotty and posting their personal profiles all over social media. If you were looking for a professional business go somewhere else!

I got my first tattoo at The Tat Cave from Kidd MF Joe. Every expectation was met, staff was extremely friendly, all utensils was extremely clean and brand new, and of course the quality of the tattoo itself is incomparable. My tattoo is of the Hawaiian Islands on my rib cage. I originally wanted just the outline, but asked if he could implement the geography of the mountains into the islands. He looked up a picture on Google and free handed the entire mountain scape of each island. The end result was a three dimensional tattoo that looks absolutely amazing.I am planning a quarter sleeve for this upcoming summer, and there is not a thought in my head that I would go anyplace else.. Jade Dragon to be specific.If youre looking to get the highest quality tattoo at a great price with the best staff. Tat Cave is it. You wont be let down.

Got my diath and industrial piercings done here 4 days ago. Soon as i walked in i was greeted and helped. Didnt wait more then 10min before i was walking rite back out with my piercings done. Super professional! Will def be going back.

Resonable prices? For who? I have 18 tattoos from all over the country. Stopped in to show them an idea for a small size tattoo, one color, figuring couldnt be more than 75 bucks from my experience. Quoted 160$. Really? You arent that good, wont go back. Cash in a stock certificate before you go.Update: Went to another place and did the exact same thing I wanted, looks fantastic, for $60. Rip off artist.

My friends and I went on cinco de mayo for piercings. I got my nose pierced and my two best friends got their nipples pierced. Two days after getting my nose pierced the nose ring sank into my nose, I called the shop and the guy said to take ibuprofen and it’s just swollen. So I did but the swollen had already been down and my nose ring had still sunk into my nose. I think the guy who pierced it used a small nose ring to pierce it and plus I believe his ass was high. So this past Saturday I said F it and just changed my nose ring to a bigger size and it’s not sinking or anything. ( I know I changed it to soon but whatever). Now with my best friend..she’s been dealing with pain in her right nipple since last Tuesday and so she went to another shop and they said whoever pierced your nipples pierced them wrong and that she should get her money back. She called and spoke to the manager and she said he was rude asf and that he wasn’t giving her a refund. Unprofessional shop , I see why it’s $20 for piercings. Been two years ago and didn’t have a problem. I recommend going to another shop!!

This is a prime example of false advertising!I am the artist who did the tattoo in the picture below in 2016. I have not worked at Tat Cave since March of 2019. It is an unfortunate deception to the public and also to potential clients.If any posts are intriguing for future clients, ask for your own good who did the pieces that he is advertising. He has been known to edit the original artists logo or name on the picture of a tattoo to pose as his own.You will waste your time and money on a lower caliber tattoo artist.This is not something he should be getting away with and for this long. He puts a stigma on the industry and it is very disappointingThis shop recently posted a picture of my past work to advertise as their own.Once again, beware of false advertising*** click my name and then photos to see them***

Got my first and third tattoo here.The pros: the place is extremely clean and they artists are very talented.The cons: they are kind of standoffish and it can be kind of awkward.But whatever, I paid for a tattoo which came out awesome!

They have skilled artists, but they can be really standoff-ish and kind of rude. I got my first tattoo here and the guy was a jerk. I figured it was because I was young and it was my first. Several more tattoos from other places later, I go back to talk about a sleeve design and a different guy is shooting everything I say down and telling me how none of it will really work and most of the stuff I wanted wouldnt fit. Instead of trying to work with me, he discouraged the whole thing. On the plus side, the jerk who did my first tattoo was very polite and professional when I went in that time hahaha. I think its hit or miss though. I know people who say the staff is the best, while I beg to differ. I say check it out for yourself, and if you want to know whod be the best fit for a tattoo artist, ask Joe.

PLEASE READ. SAVE TIME, MONEY, MISERY. Kidd Joe pierced my daughters belly button and not only was it crooked but it only became more crooked as he gave us cheap jewelry with zero quality (probably some junk from china) and passed it off as surgical grade titanium, thus the jewelry began migrating. Since we lived out of state and had only gone to Joe because he was a friend of the family my daughter did not know her piercing was infected from migration and the nickel plated jewelry. When she called Joe he told her its just sore from having the needle ran through it. Well, months later we found out the migration was no longer the only problem, it was rejecting now! Went to a shop in our hometown and they advised us to remove the jewelry, let the piercing rest, then put in actual titanium jewelry. Worked perfect. Do not let this con man screw up on you! His father may be a great guy, and great at what he does, but Joe is far from able to hold a torch to him. Abort, abort, do not go!!!

I have been reviewing The Tat Cave as I am looking to get a few more tattoos. I have had a few friends who have had tattoos done recently and they are awesome. Hope I can get a little more persuasion to make my appointment at the The Tat Cave. Good persuading + good word of mouth = more business transactions.
