Morgan is great! She did 4 tattoos three hours before closing and did an amazing job.

Black hand is an extremely sanitary and well kept shop, the atmosphere in there is very laid back and comfortable. Morgan tattooed me and was just all around great to work with. She listened to my ideas and explained professionally what she thought would be best, and designed this amazing piece for me. It was also just cool to see how well the other artists in the shop supported and interacted with each other. No awkward tension or bad vibes. Just seeing how the other artists carried themselves and kept their stations clean would give me confidence in getting tattooed by any of the artists here. Morgan, thank you! Great experience all around.

I wish I had better things to say overall. The shop is clean, the work from the artists seem really sharp and I was super excited to get my custom work done here. I had a good consult with Tyler and we seemed to jive and have solid communication with the tattoo I wanted.BUT I was with 3 other people. We all had consults the same day and made appointments. 2 with Tyler and 2 with Morgan. Come appointment day, Morgan was dismissive and rude. Maybe she didnt have her coffee or needed to poop but whatever is was, within 15 mins of arrival on our appointment day, she was snippy with me (Im wasnt even scheduled with her) and managed to make everyone else uncomfortable enough that we decided to leave-which in the 17 years Ive been getting tattooed, I have never had to do. They kept all of our deposits but it was better than having to deal with such a snotty girl with a big ego touching any of us. Overall they lost about a grand on us. The atmosphere she creates is one where the clients opinion is less then her superior artist one. /eyerollWe ended up over at another tattoo studio about 2 miles away. They were warm, welcoming and talented. A few artists at the shop also shared that we were the 2nd in a week to leave Black Hand because of Morgans attitude. So a word to the business; shes no good for it and driving people away. Get her in check or keep losing clients.To potiental clients, see someone else if you choose to patron Black Hand, or be prepared to be talked down to.

The shop is alright. I only go there for one artist David Patefield! Hes by far the most talented artist in town and has the softest touch!! He does some ultra realistic tats!! Ive followed him to every shop hes been at! Definitely to much talent for Cleveland tn!!!

David is amazing! He is so light handed and talented! He is down to earth, listens to what you want, is professional, and he is always happy to do what you want. My tattoos that I wanted which were turned down by other artists at different shops have came out perfect! The whole atmosphere is relaxing, the machines are the best I’ve had tattoos done with, the whole place and process is very professional and neat! Best place I have been!

They were respectful they just didnt have what I was looking for at the time which was piercings

I have 5 tattoos from Tyler, and Im a client for life. Hes honest, professional and talented. He listens, communicates effectively and produces the best results.

I had Morgan as my tattoo artist I while back and she did such a great job putting my grandma’s artwork on me. She did add more to it but I trusted her to put the realistic workings of a bird on my rib cage as my first tattoo!

Morgan was amazing! She absolutely killed it. She’s one hell of an artist. The overall environment was welcoming and friendly. As soon as you walk into Blackhand Tattoo, you feel like family. Ill be back there soon 🤘🏼

I had Morgan as my artist, she did an amazing job. Shading looks great and the lines are clean. She’s a nice person. For my first tattoo it’s exactly what I wanted. Great place. I’d recommend it to anyone!

Bobby is hands down the best tattooer in town! He has done phenomenal work for me and my husband for years including cover ups. Very clean shop and he great atmosphere. All the staff are very friendly and answer any questions you may have.

Gotta say best shop Ive been to in a while! Tyler was very professional and great with his work. He gave me an awesome tattoo and I will definitely be using them again. Everyone at the shop is very friendly and funny.

You will not find a tattoo establishment better than this one. The shop is clean and neat. The artists are respectful and VERY good at what they do. Ive had Nathan Harden tattoo me 4 times including one cover-up. My experience has always been awesome and the results fantastic!

Ill be real with you.Ill preface this with saying that maybe it was a bad day or yeah-The art this studio produces is no doubt amazing.But the energy totally felt off when I went in to my consultation.I tried to explain my idea respectfully and I was kinda rushed.It happens but something to mention.Amazing work from these artist in general just a bad day ig.

Not a very friendly atmosphere, but looking at the artist portfolio they all do good tatoo work. To elaborate on the business response to my review I am always fair in my reviews. Actually 3 of us came in togther and all 3 of us felt the same. When asking about tats we felt that we were a bother to you guys and that you felt uninterested in assisting us with our needs which is not typical of a business that wants to make money or obtain good reviews.

I was a walk in for a birthday tattoo. I only wanted a small tattoo with a big meaning. I was charged $100 for a tattoo that is no bigger than a half dollar. I was fine with the price! It was my bday so why not. However fast-forward a month and I notice that some of the lines look weak and some other places need very small touch ups. Like seriously it would take less than 5 mins to fix. But I get told by the artist Tyler that they dont do touch ups for free. It would cost me another $100 just for the small mess up that he had made to begin with. SMH... I have several tattoos and I have never been to a professional shop who treats their customers like this. I would not use this tattoo shop. I find that it is very unprofessional to treat a client that way. Also let me be very clear that I was NOT told when he done my tattoo that they didnt do touch ups when it is on the hand. So thanks Tyler I will walk around with a messed tattoo and when others ask about I will be sure to tell them where I had it done and how not to go there. I will have your screw up fixed by a better artist.

Bobby did a fantastic job on my day of the dead tattoo. Everyone there was friendly and professional. Ive been to other tattoo shops in the Chattanooga area, and I have to say by far, Black Hand is the best in town.

I was comfortable and enjoyed the services. Right on to Tyler for making my tattoos look amazing with my walk-in sessions. They still look great and I love getting to see them every single day.

You guys did amazing. I had a tattoo done at Reigning ink in Tullahoma in September 2017. It had already faded pretty bad, you all did exactly what I wanted and was very kind to my fiancé and I. Will return back when or if we ever need any more work done, which I’m pretty sure we will.😉You guys are amazing and did a wonderful job at keeping me comfortable and y’all were very helpful and kind. You guys have a very clean shop, and take pride and are very sanitary with your work. I will keep recommending this place for now on.Thank you guys for getting my Moon the way I wanted it! I appreciate you guys a lot!!!

One session down, 4 to go. Morgan was hella good on taking the images I sent her and creating this piece. I completely trust her vision and cant wait to have my sleeve finished

Called same day for small tattoo on wrist. It was done and looked great in 9 minutes! Very good people. Will be back for more work, possibly my full back tattoo and or my second sleeve.

My husband was there 6/14/14 he had our daughters name and dob placed on his forearm by Nathan. He loves his tattoo. I recommend Black Hand Tattoo for anyone who wants a tattoo.

Came here for my 30th birthday tattoo! The artist Chris was great and waited while we ran out of to get cash since we didnt realize it was CASH ONLY. he took my doodle and fixed it up and made it exactly what I wanted.

Walked in with a special tattoo Ive been wanting for over a year that best describes my relationship with my mom and my daughter. The guy at the front refused to do it or ever talk about it because it was the infinity symbol. He said just isnt doing that anymore and too many women have them. Lost business guys!!

All the artists seem great, but I have been working with Morgan on some black out work and she is awesome.

Beautiful place Wonderful work kinda pricey for my taste tho but definitely recommend especially if money is no option their work is fantastic

Very disappointed in the level of professionalism, I have a few unseeable tattoos and was looking to start my sleeve. The woman assigned to me was very dismissive and uninterested in actually consulting with me.

Noah did a great job. Very professional and polite. You can tell tattoos are his passion.
