Ive been pierced by Haley and AJ, and I just have to say that each time has been awesome. All the employees have been incredibly nice and helpful. The level of cleanliness in this building is phenomenal. I will definitely be coming back to get more piercings and eventually my first tat!

10/10 piercing! I called at 7:30 pm because my nose ring of five years fell out. They got me in at 8:45 right before they closed at 9 and were so accommodating! Reasonably priced for an opal piercing including the part that the stud goes into. I believe AJ helped me, he was SO nice and so informative about different piercings. Highly recommend this place.

I had a fantastic experience with Meghan over a series of visits. I was nervous about having work done—it is permanent and I am not one who enjoys pain in that context—but she was both an extraordinarily intuitive artist and quite kind about me being a wimp. I explained the concept of what I hoped my tattoo would look like and Meghan asked some questions I wouldn’t have considered, then created a design more perfect than I could have imagined. It took several months to finish but I loved it at first sight and have enjoyed it more each day since then. That piece was for a particular purpose so I didn’t expect to get any additional work after that, but it was such an inclusive and affirming experience with such an incredible artist, and I have been so in love with the work, that I recently reached out to request a new consultation appointment with Meghan.10/10

Had an appointment at 12 oz Studio. The staff was welcoming and my appointment was with Mickie to get permanent liner! She was amazing and methodical. She makes you so comfortable that you feel like you’ve known her forever! I absolutely love my eyeliner! I would recommend anyone interested in a tattoo or permanent make up to visit the shop! I will definitely be a repeat customer!

Mantis was so helpful with walking through everything for my piercing! Of course I have multiple currently but still got nervous for another new one and they were welcoming and comforting, explained every step of the way plus other questions I had afterwards. Josh in the front was also very sweet and comforting to talk to when filling out paperwork and general chatting😁 definitely coming back for more eventually and hopefully a tattoo too🤭

I have always wanted a nostril piercing but have been hesitant because of my fear as well as seeing piercings done wrong. Studio was immaculate. Sterilization top notch and Mantis was absolutely amazing. Such a relaxing calming voice that one could use for pure relaxation. I felt comfortable the whole time. Highly recommend

The whole studio is so nice and clean, and I was able to get easily and quickly on the schedule for an ear piercing. My piercer, Mantis, could not have been nicer or more helpful helping me get the look I wanted, and took into great consideration my specific ear anatomy for the absolute perfect placement. Time was taken to thoroughly sanitize and explain step by step the process, and made everything a calm breeze. I have found THE place and piercer I want to stick with long-term, and cannot recommend 12 oz Studios, or Mantis Wildflower enough.

Love coming here for all piercing related stuff! Mantis Wildflower is a fantastic piercer and has great suggestions for jewelry. I’m in love with the antihelix piercing he added to my left ear and all his jewelry ideas have been superb. Already looking forward to seeing Mantis to add an antihelix piercing to my right ear once my left is healed. Very highly recommend!!

Love this place! I just came here yesterday to get my nose pierced for my birthday and I was greeted by Grey. She was very pleasant and sweet! She made the whole process easy to follow through and it wasnt as bad as I thought itd be. I got a gorgeous nose stud and she did such a great job at placing the piercing and making it compliment my features. Im really impressed with the professionalism at this tattoo shop - I definitely recommend everyone to come here for piercings and go to Grey if you can! I went to this shop for my first tattoo after 2 years of contemplation. I found Marias work beautiful and I loved her work, and after 6 months of making sure she was the right one for me, I definitely made the right choice.Maria made me feel so incredibly comfortable for a fist-timer. We got along so well, had so much in common. I knew from the second I got into her room that wed have a lot to talk about. I brought a Kindle and headphones and didnt use em because Maria was so easy and fun to talk to.Everything in the tattoo shop was clean. I could tell just by watching her work that Maria took cleanliness and safety very seriously. From the time I reached out to Maria initially to the moment I walked out of the shop, everything was a 10/10 experience. I will absolutely not hesitate to go back to Maria in the future!

I got my nose pierced with a couple of my friends and had an amazing experience from start to finish. Mantiss was so sweet and voice was so calming.Sanitized everything between my girlfriends and I. Explained the whole process and was extremely thorough. So happy with my piercing and will definitely come back for something lol kudos to the other staff working who were professional and friendly!

I have consistently had wonderful experiences at 12 oz. Recently, I got PMU eyeliner done by Mickie, who was amazing!! We did an initial consultation where we discussed what my goals were for the eyeliner (I chose lash enhancement eyeliner as this was my first PMU procedure). During the actual process, Mickie made sure to check in with me throughout the procedure and created a safe and fun environment! We talked about music & tv, and she did SUCH an awesome job, and my eyes look amazing!!! The shop itself is safe and clean, and just has a genuinely good atmosphere. I reccomend 12 oz for all your tattoo & piercing needs, and specifically Mickie for PMU!!!

AJ is probably the best piercer I have been to. My 14 year old daughter had a ball from her industrial piercing fall out so we went to here to see if we could get it replaced. He let us know that the wrong gauge was used and he was able to correct what was done wrong. He also helped me getting a piece of jewelry that fit better for my orbital. Very professional and friendly! We will be returning here for all our piercing needs so they’re done right this time.Shop is very clean and organized too!!!

AJ is amazing! AJ pierced my septum a couple months ago and it healed amazing. I came back and had him pierce my nostril, this would be my third time getting my nostril pierced. I was so nervous with how it would heal due to previous issues with the jewelry, how I was pierced from previous piercers and not being able to keep the piercing because I would get irritation bumps. I have had zero issues with my nostril piercing since AJ pierced it. I am so happy with all my piercings! Thank you so much AJ. 😊

I was referred here by a friend a few years ago when I was looking for someplace reputable to get my septum pierced. Since then, Ive been back for updated jewellery and a few more piercings. AJ is nice and patient and informed me of what he was doing each step of the way, which was great for putting me at ease. The atmosphere is relaxing, the facility is very clean, and the staff is extremely knowledgeable and kind. Would absolutely recommend this place!

Update: It has been 5 months and everything is still perfect with after care. 🙂I brought my young daughter here to get her earlobes pierced. I found them on the APP website and Im glad I did. AJ was AMAZING. Everything was sterilized and he walked through the whole process with her. He lined up the earrings perfectly and took great care to make my daughter comfortable. So far there have been zero issues with aftercare. I cant recommend AJ enough.

I first came to 12 Ounce over 10years ago for the last piecing I ever got(my tongue). Since then I have told anyone who will listen to come here for piercings, and that if I ever got anymore I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Well, wasn’t for me but we just got my daughters ears done here yesterday. AJ is a pro! My daughter (5) was very excited, but also nervous. He explained everything to us, and left her completely in control of proceeding with each step. My wife and I were convinced before coming in she’d be leaving with just one ear done, but he was so good and quick that she went ahead with the second one and that one was even easier then the first!.. if you want to get your kids ears done come here! He triple checked placement, is very clean, and is very good with kids…My only gripe, which was my bad, I should’ve asked how much the jewelry she picked out was gonna be. All said and done was about $200 plus tip for the jewelry and piercing. But that’s well worth it IMO for a piercing she may have for the rest of her life, and some quality jewelry that was done by a pro.

My wife and I attended VGTCon, and were fortunate enough to meet Maria who works at this shop. It was a once in a life time experience to get tattooed by an artist in TN who came from NJ.We cant say enough positive things about her. She is beyond talented and skilled. Her artwork is incredibly unique. Her vibe is so positive and welcoming. Anyone fortunate enough to live close to this shop unlike myself, I definitely recommend stopping by and seeing Maria!

I brought my 5 year old here to get her ears pierced. The staff was amazing from the start. AJ did the piercing and he was beyond amazing with my daughter. He was very kind and personable. He explained every step to her, made her as comfortable and confident. He allowed her to set the pace to her comfort level and was very patient with her. At the end of it, they gave her a certificate for being brave and a lollipop. Their customer customer service was the best I have seen!

AJ is the absolute best person to get your child’s ear pierced. My daughter came in nervous and scared and he walked her through each step making sure that she was comfortable and ready to do it. He was patient, kind and compassionate. He made sure that the ears were even (triple checking himself with measuring tools). If you need to get your child’s ear pierced I would recommend AJ to do it. I have brought both of my daughters here to have their ears pierced, and last night was my 6 year olds turn. It was a great experience! AJ is awesome and was so kind and patient--explaining everything to her and treating her with so much respect and kindness. She actually started laughing after each ear was finished. When did tattooists stop consulting/collaborating with a customer? I have multiple tattoos, money is not an issue, have zero problems paying for time to work together on bringing my idea for a tattoo to paper. I am not good at describing my vision in an email and I have always depended on the artist to guide me on what they think may work. I picked David because of the following black/gray tats he has posted under his bio but he told me he isn’t good at black/gray tats. Just say you aren’t interested in doing the tattoo I am doing my best to describe in an email.

AJ has done 3 of my piercings & every time I go I have a great experience. All staff is very kind and considerate with the paperwork having a slot for preferred name and pronouns & the shop is very clean!

So...I did a thing last Friday, and got my first piercing in 14 years. After a billion years of working in corporate America and being told to put retainers in (and having them fall out so the piercings closed), I became enamored with all my friends super cute nose piercings.I did some online research, and consulted with a few people on where would be best to go. All signs pointed to 12 oz Studios in Deptford. I found out that AJ was one of the few piercers in SJ who was a member of the APP. I called and made an appointment for a week out.My entire experience with 12 oz and AJ was really really phenomenal. They called to confirm my appointment, which was greatly appreciated. I was shocked by the amount of jewelry choices i had, I feel like you had 2-3 options when I used to get piercings. They explained my options really well and gave me time to decide.AJ was extremely warm and professional. He had me come in and watch as he put everything in the autoclave. He explained every step of the process and was methodical and easy to follow. He had me do deep breathing while he pierced and I honestly barely felt it. He explained every part of the aftercare in detail, gave me the complete info on my jewelry, and gave me important dates such as when I could change the jewelry and when I should be healed. It was so thorough and relaxing. I just cant say enough positive things about the experience.The shop itself is beautiful and clean. When you are outside you have no idea how gorgeous its going to be inside.Seriously 100/10. Couldnt be happier.

Took my son to get his nose pierced. They require a picture ID from him, one from me, as well as his birth certificate, I was impressed. AJ is the one who pierced him, he had my son pick out the jewelry, explained everything. Took him back then and had him label his things and put them in the autoclave to sterilize. My son was very nervous, but AJ set his mind at ease. He explained everything, and just had a conversation with him. His customer service skills are amazing. I have had piercings (years ago) and some I have been pierced by people who only spoke when they absolutely had to so this experience was great. And the place was so clean! I highly recommend going here!! I will most definitely be back for me and my kids.

From the minute i called to make an appointment to get both of my tragus piercings done they were professional and supper friendly. When I went in the shop they followed all Covid regulations, AJ was the piercer that pierced my ears he went through absolutely every step of the sanitary part, every step he was taking to pierce each ear, talking me through every step afterwards and explain the healing process, and the cleaning process. I’m going on day 6 and i don’t even feel like i got them done he knows what he’s doing! My experience was so smooth and i didn’t have to question if they were clean they made it known the minute i walked in. Most definitely recommend them, i will be going back!

Run, dont walk, to get permanent cosmetics done by Mickie. My freckles healed without incident, and add exactly what I wanted to my face. She did constellations and came totally prepared.

I got my first tattoo done by Josè back in 2014 and let’s just say since then me, my Mom as well as my sister have gotten ALL of our work done by him. His work is so clear and he really lets you customize any of your ideas to make sure they’re exactly what you want. He is truly an artist and I recommend him and to everyone!

Got two piercings done by AJ, one septum and one nostril. Two years apart, but the quality of his work stayed same. He takes his work very seriously, and makes sure to attend his APP seminars. Would recommend to anyone getting a piercing done to come here. AJ is awesome!!

I have been her a fee times for Tattoos. Its a really good shop. One thing you just realize is you will wait wait wait. Also no matter how loyal a customer you will still wait wait wait and still have to pay to reserve and appointment. After 7 tattoos and never late or canceling I would think I would not have 5k pay that little fee. I would definitely recommend this place and look forward to my next tattoo.

I came and got a mythosaur tattoo from star wars (Mandalorian emblem) from Katy who did a fantastic job. Worked quick, didn’t hurt nearly as much as I thought, and was super friendly. I came in with a concept for a rose and sunflower tattoo symbolizing love and happiness to be incorporated with an existing cross tattoo that was created after my mother passed in 2009 and tattoo artist Mario took the concept to a whole other level! I got a bridge piercing here. Personally, I am very picky when it comes to choosing where to get my tattoos or piercings, but the atmosphere was calming. The piercer was very friendly and made me feel very comfortable through-out the entire process. I think the price I paid was fair as well. Definetly will be a returning customer.

I went in yesterday to talk about a cover up. Jack was able to take my design, tweak it, and make it fit to the space i had. It covered my old tattoo beautifully and Im beyond happy with it. It means alot that I dont have to see my old tattoo anymore. He was great, very sociable and funny. Everyone there is great! Ive gotten all of my tattoos there and always will.

Went to get my tragus done. Perfectly clean and a great environment with reasonable pricing. AJ was thorough and so nice and did the piercing perfectly. Afterwards when I got faint he talked to me for probably 20 mins until I felt 100% better to get back on my feet. Amazing experience

Took my 9 year old daughter to get her ears pierced. The place was nice and clean, the staff was super friendly and professional and AJ did a great job! My daughter is thrilled.

I’ve gotten two tattoos and a nose piercing here. Best service. AJ and Jose are so kind. AJ and Jose both were helpful as I was a little nervous. They go above and beyond. I’m definitely coming back and reccomending this shop to everyone.

Had an appointment 3 weeks in advance and it gets canceled less than 3 hours prior to it. I was offered an alternate appointment that didnt work for me. I can be canceled on short notice, but other appointments cant be adjusted to fit my needs because theyre already scheduled. Makes perfect sense.

Omg! I cant even tell you how amazing this place is ! I went to get a dermal piercing removed...i kno..i was terrified!!! However, the piercer AJ had that thing out and NO PAIN in less than a minute ! I was so please. I truly cant thank him enough. I was in and out. I came in the last second to get my piercing taken out because it was so swollen from these masks and the guy I forget his name took me back right away and was so kind to me! There’s no way I’ll ever go anywhere else! And they take the COVID very serios! The place is super clean! Real professionals.

My sister and I got matching cartilage piercings and they both got infected. The earrings that were pierced were too small and when our ears swelled a little from being pierced, the earrings got stuck in our ears because they were so small. I was able to switch out my earrings, but hers closed permanently. We were very disappointed.

I went to get my industrial done and I was told there was a chance it might not have worked but it went without a problem. The guy was great and gave information many people would not have even known to ask. I recommend to anyone looking for a piercing.
