10/10 great experience! The shop was clean, the staff was friendly, but what really makes it for me is that Bruce came in on his day off to tattoo for me and my fiancé. You can definitely tell they are passionate about what they do. I will never visit a different shop again. These guys are the best!

I have several tattoos and Bruce has done all of them!I drive from Greenville just to have him do them because he is THE BEST! Very talented & professional shop! He is currently working on making some changes to my back, so I will be making the drive again soon for that and to get another tattoo placed on my arm.

I went in for a cover up of an older tattoo on my forearm. Bruce Ellis, owner and artist, took the time to understand my vision and worked with me to create a design that exceeded my expectations. The attention to detail was impeccable, and the hygiene standards were top-notch.During the tattooing process, Bruce was patient, meticulous, and ensured that I was comfortable throughout. I felt right at home as we exchanged witty banter. He is personable, funny and VERY talented! The result was a beautifully executed tattoo that I am absolutely thrilled with!!!!The staff at Hwy 1 Tattoo Shop are friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about their craft. 3rd tattoo in my life. Walk in, last minute, spontaneous. Slightly nervous. Horrible with names... girl at the front was super nice & the guy with the mohawk did an awesome job!! I feel like I am super awkward & being nervous makes me even more awkward. BUT they definitely did not make my awkwardness feel worse lol. I will definitely be back & possibly with my sister & sister-in-law to get matching tats. *Hakuna Matata* ✌🏼

First let me say my experience here was AMAZING! I didn’t catch their names but both of the people I met were very nice and I felt comfortable from the moment I walked in. The artist that worked on my tattoo was super sweet and extremely talented! I was a walk in and I must say that I am so happy with my tattoo!! I will definitely be returning. The shop was welcoming, spacious, and clean. 10 out of 10 would definitely recommend.

Same day apppt with Maddie, beyond my expectations. I found out after she had done a friends tattoo as well who just loved hers. I will most definitely recommend her and this business to friends....and strangers. The shop was extremely clean and organized and Maddie took her time making sure the picture I chose worked with added lettering and,I cant be more grateful.

I got my grandfathers hand print on my shoulder and my grandmothers handwriting on my forearm and I couldnt be happier, Maddie did such a great job Im over the moon about her work!

I’ve gotten 3 tattoos from Bruce so far and they are clean and crisp! I wish I had gotten some of my other line works done by him. Also, the studio is very clean, professional and yet friendly. Highly recommend and I won’t be going anywhere else from know on.

Did a great job on the tattoo itself , but kinda rude when I got there . I paid the min of $80 for something super small so i wanted to get my money worth and put TWO SMALL LETTERS , and he said no . So I will not be returning due to the rudeness and unfulfilled customer service .

Went with my brother to get his first tattoo. Sat in the waiting area for a whole hour before someone told me that I couldn’t sit inside and wait with my child. Baffled as to why no one said anything when I walked in the door..
