Double Cross Tattoo

This was my first tattoo and they made sure I knew all the ins and outs about it before hand. The shop was very clean and well organized. The service was outstanding. I was a walk in around 8 at night and the service was top notch. It was quick and fast but also very well done. They provided me with instructions on how to take care of the tattoo following the appointment. They also carried the products that I would need to take care of it afterwards. I highly recommend this place to anyone getting their first tattoo or any tattoo.

Have been getting my tattoos and piercings from here for years. Never a disappointment and friendly staff with a very inviting and chill stylish environment, with artwork that really gives the place its charm. I highly recommend anyone in the Davie/Fort Lauderdale area or even youre out of town to come and get your tattoos here. Theyll treat you like family.

I had an idea in my head of a poppy flower tattoo for my arm ever since back packing through Spain, but could not find a artist to capture it. I searched for photo references, etc. I initially settled on a photo because it was pretty but Peter sat with me, heard my ideas, looked at the picture references I showed him, and drew an original of exactly what my mind had pictured. He was so polite, patient, and really took the time to make sure I got a tattoo I loved. This is my second tattoo by him and my first one I love just as much. I will never use another tattoo artist. The shop is spotless and staff are second to none. If you want a tattoo you will LOVE look no further than double cross tattoo in Davie.

Went to Double Cross really on a whim and without a true plan. Edric went above and beyond designing a tattoo that I will forever love. Was a cover up of a couple hearts that were a bad judgement call. But Edric took the time to get to know me and designed my tattoo to match my personality. He is also a bit of a perfectionist with a lot of attention to detail. Have already referred friends who are equally as happy. Can not give him enough praise! Thank you, Edric!!In addition, took my son to get his first tattoo (by Josh) and now his second by Edric. True talent!

I contacted Emily the piercer at this tattoo studio the night before I went to get a jewelry fixed and two conch piercings and she easily told me her availability for the next day! I walked in and was in and out within an hour. Shes absolutely informative and great at what she does - she made me feel so comfortable and made sure everything was precise and looking okay before and after piercing my ears. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone interested in piercings of all kinds in the Davie area

Rojas was absolutely perfect. I had never been. I was looking for a tattoo place and thought I would check it out. It’s clean. It’s quiet. He is excellent and will be my go to from here out. He touched up one of my other tattoos and he just did an amazing job. Highly recommended! You won’t regret it.

I had a fantastic experience with Emily. She pierced my cartilage. There were a lot of cute jewelry options. She told me all the costs upfront. She sterilized my jewelry and explained the process. Everything was very clean. She double checked where I wanted my piercing. She explained the entire process of what would happen during the piercing and made me feel comfortable the entire time. She was excellent. I highly recommend her.

Went to get my ears pierced with my best friend and had a great experience with Jeff. He was honest, helpful, professional, and made us comfortable with the whole process. The parlor is clean and Jeff made sure everything was done correctly. My piercings look amazing and only hurt for the second it took him to make them. Double cross tattoo is by FAR the best shop around! Most tattoo shops consist of very run of the mill tattoo artists. The guys at Double Cross are true artists! What you get on your skin is forever. Do it right & go to Double Cross. Service is amazing, everyone is nice. Just top notch all around. Ive had more work than just the two shown but these two are special because they are both cover-ups!! Yup, I had some pretty awful ink & my guy Peter Photello put some art over the existing trash I had originally.. If I could rate it 10 stars, I would.

Peter Photelo is an amazing artist!!!!! I would NEVER go anywhere else as long as he is around. The whole staff is friendly and the place is clean. They also play great music which keeps you distracted as you are getting inked. Best part about it is he is not even done with my piece and I cant wait to go back.

Believe all the good reviews about their piercer Emily because SHES AMAZING. I went to her to get my belly button pierced and she walked me through everything to make me feel more comfortable. She measured where the piercing would go, cleaned her hands thoroughly, and even did a practice run of piercing me but without the needle so I knew what to expect. Most importantly, she pierced my naval straight. Third time’s definitely the charm because I took my previous ones out for being crooked (due to a different piercer). They also have a wide variety of beautiful jewelry options. Overall 10/10 experience and i’ll be recommending this place to anyone interested.

I took both my daughters to get their piercings done. For my 16 year old birthday she got her navel and my 14 year old her cartilage. Emily was absolutely amazing! She truly gave us the best piercing experience. I’ve taken my girls elsewhere before where they have been rude and gotten annoyed for my daughters being scared and wanting me to hold their hand. On the contrary, Emily made my girls and me as the mom feel at ease. Talked us through the whole procedure and explained everything before she did it. Didn’t make us feel uncomfortable or annoyed for me being there. Will definitely come back to her! Thank you Emily!

AMAZING!! Thank you Emily!I got my middle brow (clown brow) eyebrows pierced and my nipples repierced by Emily and she was so kind. she marked my piercings and made sure I was okay with them before we continued and had such a positive attitude the whole time. she did an exceptional job of making sure I was okay with the placing and making sure I was ready before piercing. she’s very precise with her markings and very comforting. I even got to ask her questions that didn’t pertain to my piercings I was getting and she happily answered them. Emily did an amazing job making sure I got exactly what I wanted and i’m so glad I ended up coming here. I don’t feel basically ANY pain from my piercings and they’re already doing so well, no irritation or redness whatsoever. I usually bleed when I get pierced but I didn’t bleed at all on my eyebrows and my nipples bled maybe half a drop. I am seriously just in shock at how well these piercings were done!!!! I will definitely be coming back to Emily for any of my piercings!!!!

Loved my overall experience here! Artist Eugene took his time to thoroughly design me a coverup for an older tattoo I no longer liked. We went for the birth flowers of my kids and it came out amazing! Definitely recommend this place for a friendly, professional experience.

I went into this tattoo shop on a whim. I just wanted to change my jewelry for my newest piercing. Walking in, the shop is very nice and clean. I asked to see jewelry for tragus piercings. I was showed a box and chose one. I feel like, out of excitement and the need for a sale, he took my money with no problems. Also offered to change the jewelry for me for an extra $10. I agreed because I would think a piercer would suggest what’s best for my piercing. I never saw the jewelry out of the case when I made my choice, only saw the jewel, not the bar. When I left the shop, I noticed the bar was way too long for my piercing. I can’t even put my headphones in. My hair is getting caught to the jewelry. I’m unsatisfied because I would think he would advise me to get something with a smaller bar that is a good size for a tragus. Instead, I got sold.

So it was my first tattoo, and honestly I couldnt have picked a better artist. I saw Rafael, and hes just absolutely fantastic. Im a very nervous nelly and I sometimes get freaked out over small things. Rafael was patient,kind,and did a FANTABULOUS job on my tattoo!!! And everyone in the shop were supportive and good company! Im gonna keep coming here!

Nobody here seemed very motivated to do anything, from the very second we walked in it took 10 minutes before any of the 3 people that worked there even looked up, My wife of 31 years had wanted a couples tattoo, a tiny inch and a quarter Bone Fish. They literally no other customers there but it was small, only going to make shop minimum, so the EGOs had the apprentice do them both, which was no big deal but these people were so uninterested in work that they never checked up on the apprentice, and as a result Im not convinced that my tat is going to fall off my arm in chunks, dont go here, avoid this place like the plague, Double Cross seems so ironic now.

My 16 year old daughter got her naval pierced. Amazing experience, her piercer Emily did an amazing job with keeping her calm and knowledgeable. I recommend coming to her for any body piercing. Very happy with the results!

Got my first two tattoos from Rafael within the last three weeks and have subsequently started planning my full sleeve within days of the first one. He is professional, passionate, creative, and dedicated. The requests I have are a little out of the ordinary it seems and he is always up for the challenge. This was the best impulsive decision I ever made. I decide one night to go to a random tattoo shop (with good reviews), trust a random artist and get a tattoo I decided on at the shop, and it couldn’t have gone better. I luckily landed in the hands of Rafael Fuentes who looked at a picture of a tattoo idea I had on my phone and gave me artwork I get to stare at for the rest of my life on my forearm. Professional yet personable, knowledgeable, accommodating and talented! Found my artist from here on out for any other tattoos I impulsively plan on getting one random Tuesday night. :)

This place was very clean and eclectic in style and design. My tattoo artist Rafael Fuentes was very professional and knowledgeable about what I wanted and needed. Everything turned out great!

On May 2 2020 my life drastically changed and my body was scarred for life. After undergoing 15 extensive high risk surgeries, my body no longer looked the same. I came to terms with my new appearance, but the world is a cruel place. I grew tired of random strangers making faces and asking me personal questions about my accident/body. I reached out to Double Cross Tattoo to ask if tattooing my scar and skin graft is something one of the artists would be comfortable doing. Peter was very receptive to taking on a difficult tattoo. I coordinated an appointment so he could see the area, take several photos, and draft up a design. He explained everything regarding tattooing this type of skin and how it may heal. I felt extremely comfortable and confident with him as an artist and left my deposit. After a week or so, Peter sent me the draft and i couldnt believe it. He strategically placed everything to work with the scar and hide it. I was so excited to begin the cover up journey. Fast forward and 2 sessions later (one more to go), he gave me a second chance at life to not feel embarrassed about my scars. We had a game plan to tattoo as much my skin could tolerate. He was very gentle tattooing my skin graft and scar and didnt irritate the skin at all. The very moment I laid eyes on the completed work I almost cried in the shop. Words and gratitude cannot express the happiness this tattoo brings me. I no longer have to look down at my thigh and see a daily reminder of my accident. I can wear shorts and be proud. I no longer have to feel embarrassed out in public. Id rather get stares from a gorgeous tattoo than an ugly scar. I am forever grateful for the talent Peter has and the tattoo he created for me. My plans are to get the rest of my leg decorated and already booked my next session. For anyone looking for a tattoo artist who will execute your vision, I recommend Peter hands down. customer service and everything shop related is top notch. As soon as you walk in you are greeted by awesome friendly staff who treat each customer with respect. The lounge and tattoo chairs are very comfortable especially for someone who has an entirely rebuilt left leg. Getting in contact with the shop is extremely easy and they answered all of my questions regarding tattoo aftercare. Thank you all again.

I am so happy that Double Cross Tattoo moved to my area. The shop is super cool and most importantly pristine. Ive been getting my tattoos from double cross for years. Im super picky about the smallest details and thats why Ive stuck with Peter and double cross. Hes an amazing artist and I love the work hes done on my sleeve. Super clean shop and also very comfortable. Its not one of those shops you walk into and people ignore you, tell you to look at the books and basically make you feel unwelcome. Great family vibe. I was also pierced there. That was a surprisingly good experience too. Surprising because Im terrified of needles but the piercer made it really comfortable and it was quick. Id definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants a quality tattoo.

I got my tattoo done by Rafael a few weeks ago, and I am still very much obsessed with it as I was when it was first done. I explained what I wanted and showed a picture as a starting point. He took the time to explain how the shading would look and the perfect size that would look good for the placement I wanted. Already planning more :)

This place is awesome! Very clean the staff is soooo nice. Got a tattoo by Sergio and he is AWESOME! Really listens and is so nice checks on you through out the tattoo to make sure your doing ok and don’t need a break. He checked up on me the next day after the tattoo to make sure I was comfortable and my wrap was holding up well. I would HIGHLY recommend them and will for sure be going back for future tattoos. Can’t stress enough what an amazing experience I had at this shop.

I moved to Orlando and STILL come back down to Ft Lauderdale just to keep getting my ink done here. Worth the drive and worth every penny! Everyone there is so nice, helpful, cool and just fun to be around. Definitely makes your tattoo/piercing experience so much better! I’m currently on my final session with Peter. Came here during my spring break for my first tattoo. Peter did it and he did an AMAZING job. I was a little nervous but this place is super comfortable and Peter was very friendly and personable. You are THE ARTIST @peter_photelo!🤩All the tattoos are painful, and if you choose right place It can be very easier to take that much pain in a few hours. Team of @doublecrosstattoo is very friendly and they make you fell really comfortable. I was very disappointed with the outcome. I specifically told the person doing the piercing that my daughter is allergic to nickle or whatever the backing is made of on the back of the earring. I guess our concern was not important. I trusted this place because they were recommended. About two to three days after the piercing, my daughters ear because severely infected. She is excellent with cleaning the area as well. I took her today to another tattoo place and they said it got infected due to the type of earring and backing being used. The earring was nickel, not hypoallergenic, they put the backing on too tight. Hence agitating the area even more. I do not recommend this place to anyone.Response to your response to my review: Even more of a reason not to recommend nor return to this establishment. My daughter was extremely cautious with her piercings after it was done. She followed all instructions with my assistance. Good luck to you and your business. Hopefully no one will encounter the experience my daughter did.

First tattoo for my grand daughter. After lots of research,reviews and word of mouth we decided to drive the two hours and glad we did. Very clean and professional business. Thank you Peter for being the professional that you are. You eased her mind as well as giving her a special memorial for her Dad to cherish forever!

Stopped by 3 days ahead of time in addition to emailing weeks beforehand, drawing was still was not done when we arrived on our appointment day.. took another 35 minutes. Artist said he would not be doing shading in areas we specified, but he still did them at the end without us knowing. Would not recommend this tattoo place to anyone!!! Overpriced and very slow!!

If you are looking for a tattoo shop. I recommend Double Cross Tattoo. The Artist’s are very friendly and welcoming. I love tattoos I have 3 of them. My tattoo artist Oscar was so kind and he listen to what tattoo I wanted. First impressions count and double cross tattoo made an great first impression.

10/10 would HIGHLY recommend. Josh is stellar and very professional. They are like one big family which is so nice to see. Good vibes. They are all amazing artists and so talented, you wont be disappointed!! 100% will be returning.

I came here specifically because the reviews were great. It was a very clean environment but I had my nose pierced and the guy who did it didnt seemed kind of nervous as well. He had a strong accent and I know how hard it can be sometimes because my parents also have accents and it can be difficult to understand but he didnt explain everything that well and my sister noticed it was pierced wrong. Im not completely sure but Ive had a lot of issues with this piercing ever since I got it. Either way I dont think I would come back to get more piercings here.

I had a great experience getting my tattoo from Van on 3/16. He went through the drawing process with me was very patient. I love the tattoo of a lion he gave me and we stayed extra to finish it, request Van. One of many good artists here.

Pablo is amazing. He accidentally overbooked, but when we came back he took his time working with my daughter on her first tattoo so it would be perfect and everything she wanted. He ended up staying with us until well passed the closing time working on making our tattoos perfect. When I almost passed out Pablo and his team had me laying drowning with ice, alcohol whipped my face, I was extreme well taken care of. Pablo is just the most amazing artist and our tattoos are even BETTER than what we had envisioned. Thank you so much. Will be back with all our friends!

Oh my gosh my experience here was epic! I got my first tattoo here and I absolutely love it. Prices are very reasonable. My artist was super hot and really nice, so conversational and would assure me that everything is fine since it was my first time. I would definitely recommend getting a tattoo here!

I got 2 tragus piercings from Josh. I was comfortable during the process. The first one didnt hurt as much as the second one. It was fast and scary. Last month on the 13th I want to double cross for my first time and got a small tattoo with @inkrojas that I absolutely love I went back today December 4 and got a naval piercing with @mageywavey she was awesome scheduled my appointment promptly showed up the same day less than an hour later and got my piercing. Went there for a tattoo with a friend kinda last minute was one vacation showed them what i wanted and they were happy to help out to tey and fit it in my schedule but instead of just doing a quick tattoo they took the time to pick the right artist for the job rescheduled for a couple days later it was suggested by the staff to make sure they had the time to do the tattoo right by the artist and both me and my friend came out absolutly perfect these guys in here are awesome highly reccomend this place if your in the area rafael was the artist who tatted us up super nice and friendly and took his time and effort to make sure it came out spectacular 5☆

I only got to pop in at the Miami shop, but its obvious the energy and dedication of the studio as a whole abounds at both locations.Do yourself a favor - whether its your first, you need a touch up, or just want to realize your next body art dream - stop in at Double Cross. First, while I was waiting I saw not one but MUTLIPLE roaches in this establishment.. but whats worse than the roaches is that they did a horrible job at piercing me, which never healed by the way, my nipple got so swollen that I had to go to the E.R to get it removed.. SUPER PAINFUL

I walked into DOUBLE CROSS, And spoke with an artist named PABLO...NEEDLESS TO SAY, PABLO SPENT 2HRS IF NOT LONGER, Just talking with me, giveing me the choices I would have to make, if I had wanted to atchieve what I was asking for,I SEEN HIS WORK AND LIKED IT. unlike I had done before getting my other tattoos...He gave me the options from the cheaper to the most expensive. ANSWERS TO ACHIEVE WHAT I WAS ASKING FOR..I Chose to get the Left handed large tattoo Removed, and he Even gave me a card of a Doctor that could and would do such work.NEVER DID HE SAY IT WOULD BE A BETTER IDEA TO choose any one of the only possible suggestions. suggestions that I COULD DO to get the work I was asking for ,wich was to completely sleeve out one whole hand and arm, AND NOT ONLY WOULD HE..NOT..TELL ME WHAT I SHOULD DO..I EVEN TRIED TO TRICK HIM INTO ANSWERING , BY SAYING WHAT IF YOU WERE ME?
