Got my 1st big tattoo with Russ. Went in not having a clear picture of what I wanted and Russ was able to quickly understand and explain what would look best and last a long time. It was absolutely beautiful and everything I wanted! Will, the owner came in a chatted with me and was so welcoming and made me feel very comfortable. Definitely recommend this place and will be going back with my husband for his tattoo! All the artists are extremely talented and know what they are doing. Huge Thank you to Russ for giving me my dream tattoo!

Will absolutely nailed what I was wanting to do! First time getting a tattoo and wanted to memorialize my dad that recently passed away. My dad had a couple of tattoos that we incorporated into one piece. I could not have asked for a better experience! I’ve already got the itch to get another one and there’s no doubt I’ll be seeing Will again at Battle Ground Tattoo!

This place does a wonderful job of redirecting tattoo enthusiasts to other parlors! For example, when offered a chance to freely express their creative side, they unknowingly sent me to Blind Tiger Tattoo and Piercings in Spring Hill for a much more personal experience. I went to Battleground to have my first tattoo and cannot say enough good things about this business. Everything from the initial consultation to the actual tattooing was a great experience. Will always took the time to listen, answer questions, and made me feel relaxed about the whole process. Also the artwork is flat out incredible. It truly was refreshing to experience this type of customer service and I cannot wait to go back!

I have nothing but great things to say about battle ground. Its clean, environment is great and the staff is professional. I personally worked with Paul Ratcliff and he is an amazing artist. He was able to take a disaster of a tattoo (living room tattoo) and turn it into something badass. If I could give 6 stars, I would. Save yourself the headache of having to cover up a living room tattoo and go see these guys, you wont regrete it.

From the consult to the day of tattooing, the service was professional and personable. My piece was along my spine and included a difficult cover up. I really wasnt sure where I wanted to go with it but Will was beyond patient with me and did an excellent job. You can’t even tell where the old tattoo was and the new additions are beautiful! I felt comfortable the whole time and never felt rushed in my lengthy decision process. It was a great way to spend New Years Day! I will definitely be back for more work.

I emailed Mr. Will earlier this week and he told me to come in for a brief consultation at some point during the week. I walked in today shortly after opening and they were able to get me in with Ms. Tasha Grey right away, ( my tattoo was really small so I don’t know if that will be the case for everyone) everyone I talked to was so friendly, from start to finish, the process was simple, and the tattoo looks amazing, I will definitely be back here for another piece soon, Tasha is sooo talented and so sweet. I had such a positive experience with Will this morning that I had to share about it. I’ve been thinking about some work for a while now and had gone to two other artists for consultations before deciding to stop in at Battleground. Unlike the two previous conversations I had at other shops, Will took the time to educate me on how what I wanted to do would evolve over time and how I might want to rethink my idea a bit. He knew that I was a novice to tattooing and he treated me as such. On top of all that, the shop has an amazing vibe and his colleagues were also super friendly.Once I ultimately decide what I want to do there is no question where I’m going. Thanks, Will.

Awful and rude service. Do NOT see Bryan. He told my best friend that she should “come back and get a real tattoo next time” after messing up her original tattoo. He ignored what she requested (a simple heart on her wrist) and preceded to do it slanted aka “his way” ignoring her input. It looks like 🥜s. He should be ashamed. Learn from this!!!!!!!! Don’t be disrespectful and harmful towards your clients.

I had an exceptional experience with Will at Battleground Tattoo. I got tattoos with three of my friends from college. He was professional and personable. We had great conversations with him while we each took turns in his chair. I would most definitely recommend and return in the future.

Love the shop and it’s atmosphere! Went the first time last October and was sent Tasha’s way (turning photo references to Disney style) and loved the whole experience and my idea came out wonderful! I came back to Tasha for my next idea back in June (multi visit piece) and not only was she excited about what I wanted, EVERYONE who sees my work is always telling me how great they look! Always happy to send the curious her way! I usually wait a few years in between tattoo ideas (working on my 5th) but I have found someone who does amazing work with my ideas so now I’m in trouble lol definitely 5stars across the board!

I had a great experience at this shop! It was my first tattoo and I was extremely nervous. But the cleanliness of the shop and professionalism of the staff made me feel more comfortable. I got my first tattoo from Will 9 years ago and every one since. He does amazing work and is the one person I trust to tattoo me. He is a great and honest guy. Best all around experience I have ever had. I constantly receive compliments on every piece of art he has done for me. I will continue to recommend him to everyone I know looking for work done.

I was very impressed with my session with Lew Hands, who has since moved to ATL. He did a great job with the lettering on my Hand tattoo. He made sure I was in love with it before I left. At one point I wasn’t quite sure if i was happy, so I suggested he make a minor adjustment and he was so open to the critique, which i really appreciated. After the minor fix it turned out perfect! My tattoo has not faded since! Super clean shop with friendly staff!

I’ve been to 3 other tattoo parlors while getting tattoos. All in different areas from Chattanooga, Miami, and another local tattoo shop in Franklin.Battleground tattoo has set the new standard for me. The Shop was welcoming from the start. From the initial phone call, initial visit, getting my actual tattoo, and advising me on future tattoos and how to help the healing process.My impression from my overall experience is that they take pride in not only their work but how to help you choose what works and what doesn’t as far as aesthetics goes. They helped me make some decisions that turned out working for the best and I love my new tattoos (I got two at battleground on the same visit).I can’t say I’ve been more excited about these tattoos.I plan on getting the rest of my tattoo work done at Battleground and have no thought about going anywhere else! If you have any other places in mind I’d recommend you go to Battleground because you will be treated very well and will be told their honest opinion rather than just doing the work because your paying them money. Will and his staff are awesome. Went in and felt welcomed immediately. This was my first tattoo and I was a little nervous about it being perfect. I had gotten a arm sleeve tattoo done recently in Nashville (yesterday to be exact) and although I absolutely love the piece was a little concerned with the aftercare advice - it was little too none. He suggested I shower twice a day and use jergens lotion frequently to help the healing process.Thankfully I decided to get a second opinion. I stopped in at battleground because it’s in my neighborhood and was blown away by the customer service and friendly staff.The owner Will went out of his way to take the time and explain to me the importance of aftercare to ward off infections and also prolong the longevity of you’re tattoo. Free of charge he took me into his booth and showed me how to properly apply aqua for too it and have me a handout he gives all his clients easily explaining how to take care of it over the next four weeks.I had a suspicion my original artist had neglected to explain to me that importance and I am so glad I stopped in to meet Will because he most likely saved me a ton of trouble - remember this will be on my body for life and I want to take the best possible care available and me having not had a huge piece done before was ignorant to the fact.

Great little shop in Franklin, clean and warm and inviting. Tasha was our artist, kind and patient and a talented. Will the owner was ever present with encouraging words and jokes. The shop ran smoothly, with folks doing their job in a easy, laid back manor. It was a great professional environment. I got my first tattoo from Will 8 years ago and have gotten more over the years. I have recommended several of my friends to do the same and will continue to do so. His work is outstanding and stands the test of time. By far the lightest touch of any artist I have ever had. Me and my wife got our first tattoos tonight and LOVE them! They were simple and fast but Brian was awesome. He gave us pointers and helped us design it better, and talked us through the entire process of getting our first tattoo. Our some was born 15 weeks premature at 14.8oz so we wanted something to symbolize the 6 month NICU stay and journey we’ve been on. Will be coming back for my half sleep soon!

First I would like to say the atmosphere and staff in general was exceptional and would’ve loved to have continued going to this establishment in the future but I don’t think that will happen from my first visit. I came in for a consultation for touch ups on a tattoo which I was understandably told couldn’t be achieved as I imagined. This is fine and well, what wasn’t fine was the level of impatience and bluntness on the part of the artist, Brian. As he continued to explain his points on the matter, it was clear he had made up his mind on what he wanted to do and not do for the “longest possible lasting tattoo”. However if given the chance I would’ve explained I wouldn’t have cared if I needed to be inked every other year but due to the growing impatience visible in his demeanor and my desire to get the tattoo done as soon as possible I set a deposit. I later regretted the decision as I’d prefer someone I am comfortable with altering my body and cancelled the appointment and took my business elsewhere. Brian’s portfolio looks amazing and may have had a bad day then but first impressions can be crucial and in this case lost business of a possible returning customer.

Went to Battleground today for a wrap around wrist tattoo and Lew did a fantastic job! I love my anchor tattoo. He free handed it and it turned out perfect! I was very impressed with how clean the place was and how friendly everyone was. I will definitely be back and my boyfriend plans to go soon as well. Thanks again Lew!

I have found my forever artist! Tasha is THE best. I told Tasha what I wanted, and she was able to put all my ideas together and create a masterpiece. She even had the sketch made prior to my appointment so I could check it out before hand. She took the time to get every detail perfect. During the entire session she was polite, kind, personable and professional . This is her passion and her work speaks that for itself. Tasha is a real gem!All of the staff are super friendly and this shop has a fantastic environment.

Had work done this weekend by Nick. He was fun to sit with, my tattoo looks better than I had envisioned it. The shop is clean, private, and chill. While waiting we hung out with their piercer and another artist and everyone seems really awesome! Will definitely be back!

I got my first tattoo done here back in June as a spur of the moment. I was a walk-in appointment with my friend and her mom. Let me tell you, this establishment was fantastic. I am terrified of needles and the guy (I hate that I cant remember his name) dealt with my mini freak out wonderfully. They have great customer service and are very clean. I am wanting to get my second tattoo but I now live in CO, which is why Im just now doing this review. Trying to find a shop out here with decent reviews is hard. So when I go back to TN in the upcoming summer, Ill be coming by here for my second tattoo. Definitely worth the wait!

Walked into the shop on my 21st birthday to get a tattoo Ive wanted for a while. No appointment, and I didnt have a picture, but Paul did an amazing job drawing up exactly what I wanted. It was my first big tattoo (covers most of my forearm), and I love it! And he was fast! I will definitely be back!

Will did my first tattoo over this past labor day weekend. I was a nervous wreck, and he definitely helped me through the process. My tattoo is absolutely amazing!! I also know that he has done many tattoos for close friends of mine. I wouldnt want to go anywhere else.

I got a piercing here by Shelly. She was very nice and helpful. She walked me through the whole process of getting the piercing and the aftercare. The inside of the shop is very nice and everything was very clean but welcoming. I had a great experience here and if I ever need another piercing done I will definitely be back.

Wow! Where do I even start? I met Will for the first time yeaterday, to set my appointment up for today 9/16. I already warned I was nervous as hell for this tattoo, due to a bad expericence with my first one from someone else when I was 18. Im 33 now and just got the balls up to get another one. He immediately assured me I was in good hands. So today was was the day, and Will already new I was nervous as hell. He done amazing on assuring me it was going to be okay. Never once did I doubt him, he made me feel completely at ease. Once I laid in the chair and he started all my nervous went away. I was amazed when he said he was done. His work is amazing. There was a reason behind my tattoo and why I wanted it, and Will done it exactly how I had it pictured in my mind. Thank YOU so much Will! I love it and for sure will send anyone your way. Who knows I may be back in that hot seat before you know it again. Thanks your the best!

Found Battleground on Google and decided to check them out on a whim. What an awesome find!!!! The shop is clean, friendly and professional and the staff even better! My husband and I both were looking to get pieces done and Paul was able to fit us both in as walk-ins. Each of our pieces look spectacular, clean lines and great shading. We will both be back for more, probably sooner than later!!!!

Brian Russle is one of a kind at his skill and always gives you his honest opinion and design recommendations . The owner and other artist are friendly and make me feel at home every time Im there.

Went in to get my sleeve worked on and had a great experiemce. Nick did a great job getting the placement right on some pieces that werent sitting right at first. He took the time to redo the stencil as many times as he needed to make sure it looked right which tells me they really care about what they do here. The first session looks great, ready to come back and get this sleeve finished up soon!

I made an appointment in April to get my tattoo. Originally I chose Will but he was booked weeks out, so I chose Paul instead. Huge mistake, he cancelled an hour before my appointment because of a death in the family. I wasnt upset, I completely understood. I went to golden yeti instead (best service ever) but when I went back to get my deposit the front desk woman said hes not here and we dont know when he will be back. So I come back on a Saturday and he still wasnt there, I left a note with my info and everything to ensure when he got back he called. I wait a few weeks and return back to get my deposit. I told the front desk Im here to get my deposit back.. Paul walked up and asked who it was with and I said you. Paul asked when my appointment was and I told him, he said well that was weeks ago, laughed IN MY FACE and said its gone now. Most UNPROFESSIONAL place Ive ever stepped foot in. I will never be back and if anyones asks about this place I will rage on how badly I was treated. My mother also went to try and get it back, Paul screamed, cussed, and refused to give the deposit back after HE cancelled on me. Paul just cost this place a lot of customers.

I was tattooed by Tasha, who is AMAZING. She captured perfectly what I had imagined and was so helpful. It was my first tattoo and everyone at this shop made the process so easy and were so friendly, accommodating, and professional. I can not recommend Battleground Tattoo and Tasha enough!

I got my nose pierced here at the beginning of April - back then, very nice people and professional. I went in a mere 3 weeks later to have my piercing changed as the lady who did it, Shelly was her name I think, said I could... a lady I didn’t see the previous time was sitting at the front desk told me they no longer did piercings or anything with them and that they were “trying to get away from that” New ownership I’m guessing? Bad business decision, people like piercings probably as much as tattoos. You’re just letting some of your business go... and two doors down! I asked if they did it two doors down at lone wolf.. she said, “yes, but I wouldn’t recommend it” she was trying to make a recommendation all the way in Nashville! She was just very stuck up in her tone and how she acted. I went to Lone Wolf. They are nicer and aren’t too stuck up to do piercings in addition to tattoos.

Will Bledsoe and the Battleground staff have set the bar high in the Tattoo Industry. My first tattoo was a small simple cross that could only be described as Bad Ink. Will is a professional artist who is passionate about his work and demonstrates a relentless commitment to perfection and the customer experience at Battleground Tattoo. Will created a tattoo that covered my original and left me with a result that literally makes the Bad Ink seem like it never happened! Will did a cover up tattoo for me. The only thing I️ brought him was a picture of a cross that I️ took In Hobby Lobby and said I️ want it to be girly and classy. The tattoo that he came up with was everything that I️ could have dreamed of and more! His work and creativity is beyond most tattoo artists I️ have ever seen. I had the most usual experience when I arrived with my daughter at Battleground Tatoo. Shelly was recommended from a friend for a piercer. I was incredibly nervous about allowing my daughter to have her navel pierced. I attempted to set an appointment only to find out that, “walk in’s were welcome and there is no appointment necessary!” So... the week of Christmas we arrived only to find out that Shelly had NO jewels for piercing!!! Oh my goodness was I upset. This was so important because this was one of my child’s gifts for Christmas!!! On No!!! So.... I can not tell you how AMAZING SHELLY IS and so so cool headed and professional!!! I asked her where she would recommend a piercing she made a recommendation and handled a disappointed customer with stellar precision!!! She is a Great employee!!! Paul does amazing tattoos! His detailing is phenomenal and he strives to make sure each tattoo is perfect. I wont go to anyone else but him. Hes been my artist for 5 years now.

Nick is a great artist. He’s done two fantastic pieces of work in the last month and has been terrific to work with. The entire shop is courteous and professional. Go here - you will be happy you did.

My friends and I were down in Nashville for the Draft over the weekend stopped in to BattleGrounds all 4 of us walked in and got our tattoo in less than 3 hours, they were so efficient and nice. I am sorry that I never reply to your question. I was at your shop looking to get a tattoo of a lion. The guy that I talked to told me that I couldnt get someone elses tattoo, that it didnt work that way. I was showing him some pics on my phone of some tattoos I like, just as an example/reference. I didnt care about the price as long as someone could do a good job, after all its going to be there 4ever. In my opinion, he wasnt very professional in the way he treated me as a customer. If he wasnt able/capable of doing what I wanted, then all he had to do was say so and I wouldve been fine with it.

Nick did a great job for my son and I! It was my son’s first and my second. He was very knowledgeable about how the design would look best and size. He was even able to get us in on his 18th birthday! That made it even more special. Very clean and sterile. Im a little OCD about that lol! Thanks!

Made an appointment. Showed up on time, was made to wait over an hour while the artist ate and chit chatted, when he finally drew up my tattoo it wasnt what i asked for, and to top it off he insulted the work i already had done saying it was badly done, but i happen to think the artist who did the work for me did a great job. I ended up not getting the tattoo and left disappointed, I wouldnt go to this establishment again.

I was very disappointed today when I went into my appointment and was told that it wasnt today It was next week. I said nope its today Ive been waiting. The artist was Paul that I was supposed to have a session with. He was at the desk and said wait its next week. I repeated myself and pulled out card with dates on it. The vibe immediately changed and you could tell he wasnt happy about it. So I sit down and have patience he comes around the corner again no sorry, no introducing himself, no care for me the customer and says just so you know Im running an hou behind.I get we all make mistakes and I could have handled that but when I feel like I am a bother to someone that Im coming to for something special and they dont acknowledge that I was done. I left and called the store to cancel I told her I didnt have time to wait since its gonna be an hour. She said its not gonna be an hour your appointment is at 5:30. I said No it was at 5 and Paul told me he was an hour behind.I cancelled my appointment and I went to Lonestar Jake Snoddy and Devin Kent took amazing care of me!Please get your books organized and if you make a mistake its ok just admit it!

Im very happy with the tattoo I got here from Paul. The staff was nice and friendly, especially the receptionist. Its clear that they love what they do and know what theyre doing. Ill gladly come back here for my next one.

Let me start by saying I’m 73 years old and have never had a tattoo. I’ve considered it for the 6 years since my granddaughter Rosie was born. I finally got brave and did some research on Google. I decided to try Battleground Tattoo Parlour in Franklin, TN. Brian Russell was my tattoo artist and he put me at ease right from the start. The parlour itself is very clean and everyone was very welcoming. I got a small rosebud (for Rosie) tattoo by my left ankle and I’m glad I did. Thanks so much Brian for a great experience! Vicki

I realise that most tattoo places are very busy and booked out for a few months. That being said, I called to see if I could get a consultation. I asked if I needed to make an appointment or if I could walk in. I was told to come on in and that someone to talk me me about what I wanted to get. I drove an HOUR AND 15 MINS to see them, only to be told they cant talk to me. She gave me a card and told me to call some other time. I specifically called ahead to avoid this!! They know they are busy! Why tell me to come in , when they know they have appointments all day!

Don’t use Brian Russel he was rude from the start. If it was my shop I’d have a talk with him and let him know he shouldn’t treat his customers that way. HIS WORK IS NOT THAT GOOD EITHER. Brian Russel is ver unprofessional.

This may sound stupid but my cousin got her nose piercing here a year ago and she loves it so much. My pain tolerance is kind of high on my nose but my wrist and ankles are low pain tolerances....how bad does the piercing feel (be honest)
