This place is great. They do amazing work, and are very friendly, down to earth people. My friend and I came in as walk-ins, and were immediately welcomed and taken back to get started. I came in with a picture of what I wanted, and Ed drew an even better version of it. Absolutely recommend this place!! They were wonderful!

5 stars is not enough for this business. They are a new shop from California, but I can’t express how awesome both Turk and Ed are.The shop is super clean and professional.Both Ed and Turk are amazing artists and tattoo artists.I received a tattoo from Ed on my kneecap. This is an awkward place for a tattoo, both for the artist and recipient. My tattoo came out so clean and perfect, I am more than pleased.I highly recommend this shop. I’ve been to several others in the Nashville area and this one is by far the best, plus the prices are very fair.I definitely will be back !!!!!!

Best tattoo experience! I had a phenomenal experience with Left Hand Black. After providing a description and images of what I wanted, Turk was able to exceed my expectations with the design he made. Not only were these guys extremely talented, they were friendly and very fun to be around!

My sister and I came with an idea and loved the tattoo designed for us, the whole experience was great and we were very happy with our tattoos. Would definitely recommend.

I was visiting from out of town, but wanted to get a tattoo while in San Diego for a few days. I worked with Matthew and had a great experience. He offered great ideas and feedback based on his experience, was receptive to my ideas and concerns and overall provided a great tattoo. The shop made it easy to schedule my appointment several weeks out and verified my attendance a couple days ahead. The process was efficient and left little room for concern or error. I highly recommend this ship and Matt.

I lost of cat at 19. Ive never been a fan of tattoos that anyone could see; however, I felt the need to keep my kitty close. I reached out to Left Hand Black, and Stevie went above and beyond. He added the angel wings, and he even shaded the tattoo to look like her. I positioned the tattoo opposite of the norm, but Stevie said, The tattoo is for you and no-one else. Go see Stevie -- I will be back!

I cannot say enough about how much I like this place. I had two sessions for a forearm piece with De and it looks incredible. From the aesthetics of the shop, cleanliness, the amazingly talented De herself, to the way the artists all interacted with each other. They all seem to genuinely love what they do, working there, and working with each other. 20/10 would recommend.

Just look at the 5 star rating. The artists are very friendly. The shop is very clean and I like the whole grunge/heavy metal theme throughout the shop. Just moved out here to cali and was in the process of working on a cross cover up. Im glad I stopped by. Ashley completely transformed this tattoo with his use of shading and color. Spot On and cant complain. Will definitely visit this shop in the future.

This is a great tattoo shop in Southpark San Diego. I stopped in last minute and worked with Matthew. I told him what I was thinking and he took some time to work up a design and did fabulous work for me. The place has fun decorating and all the guys were real fun to chat with as well.

Turk and Crystal are the best...Crystal was really easy to work with to get on the books...Turk was informative; easy to chat with throughout the process; and happy to answer any and all questions. Will definitely be going back!

A clean space filled with loads of creativity and ambitious artists. The owners are a great pair who have put together this tattoo shop/gallery. I took my girlfriend there for her first tattoo and have my next scheduled in the next few weeks. Cant recommend this place or my artist Marc Beccia highly enough. This place should be where you get your next piece done.

My husband and I got our first tattoos yesterday with Matthew and we could not be happier. Everyone in the shop was super friendly and professional. Matthew was great and he clearly is an expert! We love our tattoos, Matthew is an exceptional artist. I would highly recommend Left Hand Black and Matthew to anyone interested!

San Diego has a lot of custom tattoo shops to choose from. Artists of varying style, experience and attitude. When you choose Left Hand Black you gotta know you’re going to get a solid piece from a solid crew in an awesome setting. Turk is a skull and macabre master and he and his wife Crystal run a top notch shop.

Best place ever! This is the only place that we have ever had our ink done. The artwork on the walls is beautiful, one of a kind, and for sale! Turk was our artist before Ink Master. Hes our favorite, though now in high demand. But thats ok because everyone in this shop are fantastic artists! I was just there, but Im already thinking of my next tatoo.

Turk is Amazing! I am so happy with the way my tattoo looks. There is so much detail in it. Every time you look at it you see something different. Very nice shop. Fun experience.

I have seen De for a little more than 2 years and she has done 5 of the most incredible pieces I have on me. She is fun and professional and so amazingly creative. She finds great ways to create movement and depth and her love of neo-traditional truly shines. She is an absolute delight and an incredible artist. I am asked constantly about her pieces and highly recommend her to anyone.

Had an amazing new piece done by Jacob. His sketch was on point and I would have been more than happy to have just the outline as a tattoo, and the final product was more than I could have ever hoped for. These guys were friendly and funny, and I will definitely make them my go-to shop if I find myself in San Diego again, maybe even if I have to make it trip

Super calm and chill environment! Matthew is the absolute best!!! I did a walk in tattoo and he was super helpful getting the idea I had in my mind into a drawing! it was my first one and he was super calm and helpful! Before I knew it I already had a tattoo on my arm!

While I never went in for a tattoo, one of Turks staff helped me out with a few design tips as I was recommended by a friend of mine. This place is really cool! Theres a fog of creativity that lurks within the walls of this place as folks from all over (not just San Diego) line up to tap into the spirits of the demiurgic tattoo artists.

It all started with the tattoo...I got a tattoo at Left Hand Black by Turk. Really like what he did. Very fast which is good because he can get a lot of work done in a timely amount of pain. But I guess if it didnt hurt it wouldnt be worth it...Then came the art shows. They have an art show going on right now that is all hand painted meat cleavers. How cool is that?!Great place, people tattoos and art.

Great shop to get some custom work. If you can think of it Turk can draw it and, more importantly, tattoo it. This guy is the tattoo getters tattoo artist. He knows how to make the experience a great one and walk out with some killer art. He know getting a tattoo is not the most comfy of experiences, so he gets some quality done in a timely manner.I came to him with a concept and he came up with a few drawings. We hybrided 2 together went from there. I even had him change a few things to get it perfect. He was more than willing to accommodate and make it truly a one of a kind piece of art on my canvas (me). Did the tattoo exactly as I wanted it.Could not be happier!

So far i have not had a Tattoo done yet, but are in the design / meeting phase now, and based solely on response from the shop, and the willingness to make this piece unique has been well appreciated. looking forward to meeting Marc and Crystal in a couple of days to see how this piece is progressing

I definitely appreciated that they take walk ins. Matt took his time thinking through and taking with me about placement and size of a simple enso tattoo. It turned out better than I could have imagined!
