Jessica did a great job piercing my lobes.I really appreciate how she took the time to make me feel comfortable and creating an inviting environment. ALSO I have multiple piercings and when she did it I felt no pain 10/10 recommend

Honestly wish I could give this place zero stars. I came here about 3 months ago and got a rook piercing. Everything was fine up until the piercing, I noticed that the piercer used an 18g instead of a 16g in thick cartilage (my rook) AND it was a hoop. After the piercing took place it wasn’t cleaned off at all and I was driving home with blood coming out of my piercing. It got infected about 3 weeks later and then a bump appeared, after that it never went away and kept getting bigger due to the fact I was pierced with the wrong jewelry and gauge. I just took it out and it was extremely painful, sat there for about an hour trying to pry the hoop open while trying to avoid making the bump even bigger than it already is. If you want a piercing I do not recommend this place and check the reviews before you go somewhere to get any body mods.

My husband called and I got an appointment right away. Took like 3 minutes to do my piercing. Guy was super friendly and so was his daughter. Place was really clean.

They are so great! The building is a little off-putting just driving by but the reviews were great and I decided to call them up! I had gotten a conch piercing elsewhere and it wouldnt heal after several months. The owner (I think, I dont recall his name) was great and replaced the jewelry and within a day I was pain free and it healed quickly afterwards.Last week I decided, on a whim, to finally get the triple forward helix I had been wanting for years. I called them up when they opened and was able to get in within a few hours. The girls up from, who I believe to be apprentices, were very friendly and I appreciated that they watched the piercing and gave instructions - they have a great teacher! The piercing itself was one of the easiest I have had despite the fact that I had three in a row. Theyre healing nicely and I cannot wait to change the jewelry to studs.I will absolutely be back for my impulse piercings, thanks do much!

If you are looking for an affordable, sterile, and professional piercer…it doesnt get better than here. I drive 35 minutes anytime I want a piercing just to come here. I’ve had 6 done so far, recently including my nipples. I was nervous about the idea of a man piercing my nipples but he is incredibly professional and made me feel completely at ease. He’s also pierced my daughter’s ears when she turned 7. Always recommend.

We got in on the $10 apprenticeship piercing special. Nothing short of amazing! Our family of 6, 5 will have been pierced at Snakemans.

I went to Snakemans this afternoon and I am unhappy with the results of my septum piercing. It is my 18th Birthday and this was my first big decision and the piercer Steve seemed nice but he did not talk me through the piercing process. He also had to do it twice because he though it looked strange. Even with the second pierce it is very noticeably crooked. It seemed like he was in a rush. Will not be returning. Wishing I could give zero stars.

Took a couple teenager girls for 3rd lobe and helix piercings. Jess (I think) was great, sweet and professional. Very clean too!

When they say you get what you pay for they’re right, i got my rook pierced here was so excited because of the lower price range, they used the wrong gauge of needle, wrong jewelry and placement was too shallow, after 3 days my head has been in the MOST pain i’ve ever experienced from an ear piercing, due to wrong jewelry, just got the correct type of jewelry put in and within 30 minutes it definitely doesn’t feel as bad as it did for almost 3 days

Went for a nose piercing for the apprentice special.. mazzy was AMAZING!!! I barely felt it and she was quick with it. Only want her to do my piercings from now on. Hopefully they keep her. I will be back!!

We brought our daughter here to get her ears pierced. She is 14 months old and we wanted to go to someone who was highly recommend. We definitely made the right decision by coming here. As a pediatrician, I wanted someone who would use a needle for the piercing instead of the gun as I have seen some poor placement of earrings when the gun was used. The snake man took his time to walk us through the process and make sure we were happy with where the earrings would be placed. He followed great sterile technique and gave excellent instruction on what he was doing so we were all aware of what was happening. My daughters earrings were perfectly placed in a quick and efficient manner. He has been doing this for 30 years and it clearly shows in his skill and confidence. We were a little nervous about taking my daughter to someone named the snake man, but once we met Steven (I think that with his real name.. sorry)he put both of us at ease and really gained our trust before the piercing even happened. I will be recommending him to anyone I meet.

Absolutely amazing experience! I was able to call the day of and get an appointment. It was my first piercing and I came alone so I was a little nervous especially for the pain level. However, Steve was extremely professional, kind, and quick which made the experience so much better. His apprentice was also super kind and talked to me as the piercing was happening which helped distract me from the pain a bit. They were busy but did not rush it which is so appreciated! Seriously recommend!

I have got to say, the best piercing experience I’ve ever had hands down. Got my Medusa and my Septum done today and I absolutely love them! Ive been coming to Snakemans for the past 23 years for piercings. Today I had both of my daiths pierced to help with migraine relief. Steve is awesome! He always answers all my questions, is patient with me and his station is always neat and organized. The girl at the counter is always so polite when coming in or leaving. She is also very knowledgeable on the piercings or tattoo questions. I will continue to come see Steve in the future. Hes the BEST!

The nose piercing was put in at an angle too far up the ridge, which elongated the nose (piercer’s stylistic preference) but also was done at a thicker part of the nostril. My new piercer, who removed this establishment’s work, has been in the business 30 years and saw that there was a puncture and sore in the mid part of my nose where the needle hit too. Isn’t that a shame that Snakeman’s quality has gone down significantly? He hired the wrong girl to apprentice under him and then turned her loose to take his clients. The skin around the piercing hadn’t started to form a tube because of the way it was pierced. Poorly.

Absolutely amazed! I’ve been to many body piercing locations and have never reviewed any; but after our experience with Steve, I had to. Extremely knowledgeable and professional, fit my daughter and I in with no appointment even though they require one. Location was very sanitary and the pre-procedure guidance and tips from Steve made the experience even more memorable. Steve was knowledgeable and proud of his trade and was a true artist when it came to piercing placement and recommendations. Front desk staff were kind and made the experience amazing from beginning to end. Thank you for doing what you guys do!

Visited for the first time today to get my 3rd lobe piercings done. Steve was very quick, clean, and it was absolutely painless for me (though ofc everyone reacts differently). Aftercare was explained well and I was in and out in no time.Side note, i really like that they list their piercing prices online so I dont have to call and ask nor be surprised when I get there.

I had to pay up front right away, which was red flag number one. Ive had eight piercings done before this in my life and Ive always paid afterward. It felt like a cant back out now situation. When it was time for the prep, it was all fine. He explained to the apprentice with us what to do as she observed. When it came to the piercing itself, I was not given a countdown, no proper clamps were used, and I was not prepared at all. He just went for it and I forced myself to stay still so it wouldnt get messed up. He had to pierce me three separate times in order to even get the jewelry in, when it shouldve been checked beforehand and been done correctly had he used the proper clamps. I was told not to use saline for aftercare, while that is what every piercer has ever recommended me and others who Ive known. I was told to use Dove bar soap and water. Terrible experience, left feeling like I was about to throw up and pass out.

Snakeman is an amazing piercer!! He has probably done about 10 piercings on my daughters and they all look wonderful! The area is clean and sanitary. He gives amazing care instructions. He is quick and makes it look effortless (which I know it isn’t). In addition, he and his staff are so kind. Thank you Snakeman!!

Best prices in moco! gotten all my ear piercings here. snakeman himself is great although the two apprentices don’t seem very friendly. odd that you pay before and not after like everywhere else i know but he pierces well.

I took my baby girl today to have her ears pierced. I called a bunch of places and Snakeman’s was the only place that said they would be able to pierce her ears. The gentleman was so informative and very helpful over the phone and in person. He was amazing with my daughter. I would highly recommend this place to everyone. Very clean and sanitary. I went in the shop a couple weeks ago to get my industrial re-pierced (it wasn’t originally pierced at Snakemans) I spoke with Steve and had a very good experience. First of all, I had to bring my three year old because I’m a mom, where I go, she goes. He was very kind and welcoming to her (and she is extremely introverted, especially towards men). She plans on getting her ears pierced soon, and I will be bringing her there.So about my industrial. First, the way I had it pierced initially he said is not how he would recommend it being pierced which would make it a bit more difficult for him to use the one hole that was initially there. What stood out to me was when he was talking about it, he said don’t tell me where you had it done, I am not going to speak bad of another piercer.Then, we went to talking some more and he told me healing may be a bit more difficult because it is in a place where my mask (thanks COVID-19) would rest on my ear.He could have just taken my money. I fully intended on going in there and getting it, not thinking of the valuable information he told me. BUT he was 100% honest and genuine.Overall, I am extremely impressed with Steve. When I am able to venture out without a mask, I will be getting my industrial pierced there and my daughters ears pierced for sure.

Came in for a Medusa piercing, not sure why this guy doesn’t understand consent?? If I say take the clamp off, you do it. If you’ve been doing this for years then consent shouldn’t be new. Not to mention you dont put multiple people in the room to watch without asking, I didn’t need everyone in the shop watching me get a piercing?? Worst piercing experience I’ve ever had.. you definitely get what you pay for.. disgusting behavior..

Went in looking to get my septum pierced after being told from other places that my nose was not a good candidate for it. The owner didn’t hesitate to do it for me and charged half the price of anywhere else. Day two with the piercing and it feels perfectly fine, no pain at all and very happy that I came by snakemans to get it done!

Seemed like a very nice and knowledgeable guy until the piercing took place. There was no measurements taken nor clamps used, and as a result my septum piercing looked crooked to which a statement was made and I was assured it would look fine once swelling took place. Well a few days later still the same result so I seemed guidance from another shop where there removed it for free and told me how bad he messed up. They pierced it again and this time it looks wonderful. I would never go to this place again nor refer anyone

I got my nose pierced back in january and had irritation problems for months. my nose was pierced with the piercing positioned nearly completely vertical (parallel to my nose), when it should be perpendicular. a surgical grade steel corkscrew was used, which irritated the heck out of my nose. screws move around too much in piercings and a surgical grade titanium post would’ve been a much better idea as surgical steel does contain more trace amounts of nickel than titanium, which can cause nasty reactions in people with nickel sensitivity. with the type of jewelry and awkward piercing angle, i have had such a hard time with the healing. i went to a different piercer in my area to see what the issue was and soon as he looked at my piercing, he asked “who pierced this?”. he replaced the surgical steel screw with a surgical grade titanium post and it is now healing beautifully.Update edit: snakeman’s response to my review was completely unprofessional. telling customers that their concerns are “something to complain about” is rude. i was told by another piercer that it was a bad angle and cheap jewelry, which caused irritation. i am explaining the opinion of another piercer, not a personal complaint. businesses insulting customers over a negative review shows a fragile ego and lack of respect for customers, not willingness to improve service.

Got a septum piercing done by Steve, he was quick and professional. Better experience than I’ve had with previous piercings at other places. Steve was also so friendly and inviting, allowing my friend to come into the room with me for comfort. I’m absolutely in love with the placement of the piercing and size of the jewelry, awesome job👍🏾

Got my nose pierced here. The owner (who pierced me) didnt dot my face beforehand and i and many others ive asked for their opinion on has said it is too high. He didn’t let me pick my jewelry. I was extremely rushed by him with comments like “i dont have all day” for just experiencing normal nerves. (I was 13 at the time and this was my first ever piercing) any sort of basic question i asked about the procedure/aftercare was met with a very condescending responded tone along the lines of “ive been doing this for decades. I know what im doing” and finally he told me to clean my piercing with soap and water and to properly heal a piercing, it should be cleaned with slat water. But nevertheless, he got the job done. I just wished I could’ve had a better experience as it was my first time :/

I had a great experience with Steve giving me Daith piercings in both ears. He was extremely professional, skillful,and very nice. Everything was clean and sterile. Steve did the piercing so quickly, I barely felt it, and it’s supposedly one of the more painful piercings. I highly recommend Snakeman’s for any piercings.

I got my daith pierced with my 2 daughters, my sister in law and my niece. He was awesome!! I dont understand why people say thats the most painful piercing because he did it so fast that I literally felt a tiny pinch. Im going back to get my other ear done but only by him! Also, his secretary explained everything we needed to know about after care in complete detail so we knew exactly how to take care of them. Great place!!!!

I had an amazing experience with Mike getting my tattoo. I got a Japanese inspired piece and he shared enthusiasm about my tattoo. I could tell he really enjoyed doing my tattoo and it came out perfectly! Ill definitely be coming back for more. He took his time and hooked it up! Good tattoos aint cheap and cheap tattoos aint good but the pricing was still affordable. Highly recommend

Sorry - I got way too excited and rated before I left the shop! I wanted to actually write about my experience, as well. Snakemans was wonderful and the staff there on 11/21 were fantastic. Kind, down to Earth, and professional. Also you cannot beat that price - $25 for a nostril piercing. (I got a different piece of jewelry so I paid a little more, but with a $25 base, its too good to be true but it is.) I will be coming back for additional piercings!

Took my daughter here a few months ago for a nose piercing and she was so happy with the result! The building is not much to look at, but the inside is organized and clean, which is what matters. The staff were all patient and friendly. Returned today to have my nose pierced as well. Steve is professional and his experience shows. Thank you!

--ZERO STARS-- Steve pierced my Rook & there was no marking or talk in general other then to tell me he had 25 years of experience, however I questioned him when I saw he put a hoop in after it was pierced (everything I read online said to use a curved barbell) Over a month later it no longer hurts but still red and very swollen. Went to a local piercing place for their opinion. As soon as they saw it they said it should have been pierced with a 16 gage not an 18, and a curved barbell should have been used not a hoop. They knew I had been to Snakemans because they recognized the cheap jewelry he uses because they said he uses it for all his piercings and they end up fixing it.I regret coming here I should have followed my gut. I was advised to take my piercing out. Cheaper is not better. You truly get what you pay for, and in this case it was a bad experience!!

I absolutely love this shop. I refuse to go anywhere else to get a piercing. They are very professional, clean and personal. The piercer is always gentle and fast and knows what he is doing. They are very knowledgeable. I have never had a bad experience at this tattoo parlor. Highly recommend!

I LOVE snakemans! He is so calm, and chill. He has been doing my piercings for 10 years and he is the very image of a kind, caring, authentic human being. And it comes through in his work.Everything is extremely clean and sterile. And you CANNOT beat the prices or his nearly 30 nears of experience!!!

One of the fastest and painless piercings I’ve ever received. one of the nicest piercers I’ve had and he was able to do my daith piercing. I’ve had piercings from a handful of shops and this was by far the best for how little he chargers

I had gotten my navel piercing back in June. I was so happy about it and loved it but always felt like it was done wrong. I could feel the bar outside of my stomach from the minute i got it and i could see the owner who did it, didn’t get enough skin in it. Now fast forward two months i got it checked out at time bomb in frederick. They were astonished of how bad it was pierced before. I have to now pay another 40 dollars for a whole new piercing when it should’ve been done right in the first place. i would absolutely love to ask for my money back and get reimbursed but i know the owners too self conceited to apologize and say that he did it wrong. So if you’re thinking about getting anything under the sun from this place, my recommendation would be simply don’t.

I have used Snakeman’s for many piercings (earlobe, nose, conch, double helix cartilage). I have also visited to purchase and receive help switching piercing jewelry. All experiences have been great- very knowledgeable piercer who talks to you during the piercing process, let’s you know what he is doing and any feelings to expect. Just bought a new jacket from here! The selection was great. Everybody that work there was super friendly and knowledgeable. They went over all the new features on the jacket and even helped ensure that the jacket fit properly. I will definitely be going back for all of my leather needs.

My experience here was great. I called a bit before their closing time and they remained open a little late to fit me in for a nose piercing. The piercing was super quick, easy, and affordable! Highly recommend.

Steve was so good i got a nose piercing and he made me feel calm and relaxed because i was stressing out about it! they are very clean and knowledgeable. i would definitely recommend them!

I went in to get my septum pierced, Steve did my piercing. He made me pay first thing, which should of been the first red flag. But I went into the piercing room, he didn’t even measure the piercing or put any marks, used no clamps, and then had too re pierce me twice. When I checked the piercing, I told him it was crooked and he tried to tell me it wasn’t. So I left very unhappy. I decided a day later to go to a different shop and get opinion and they confirmed what I knew. The piercing was very crooked, and did a horrible job. So I had to take it out, and get another shop to re pierce it. He doesn’t offer refunds on piercings. DO NOT GO HERE.** edit to add after owners response. I’ve never had to pay before hand at any shop I’ve went too. NEVER. I told the piercer it was crooked and he tried to convince me otherwise. Like I said, to anyone reading this. Don’t go here.

He was very nice and professional, also very gentle. He also informed me he’s been piercing for 20+ years so he has a lot of experience. I definitely recommend you going to him for your piercings.

Thank you Mr.Snakeman! I went to another local piercing shop on my birthday 2 weeks ago . Well long story short he did not pierce in the right spot it was offset and looked wierd. Then my stud came apart and fell out my nose.. luckily I had bought a spare online the week before and put it in but it was0 too short .....I called Snakemans and they were very compassionate and pleasant on the phone ...able to get me right in immediately because .. The shop is nice and everyone there was amazing! This issue was fixed got a new piercing in the right place this time .... was given good instructions on aftercare and on my way within my lunchbreak..I wish I had come to Snakemans initially.. I am so glad he was able to rectify the situation I feel so much better.thank you so much Mr. Snakeman!🙂👍❤5 starsAleta

I got a vertical labret piercing. The owner pierced me. But he for one wasnt incredibly sterile, two didnt count down or let me know WHEN the piercing would go through, and THREE he had to pierce me TWICE then blamed it on me. Thankfully the piercing looks good but the healing isnt great. He also said to use alcohol on it, which is a huge NO.

This place doesnt even deserve one star. I called this place in advance, before going in, to ask about their tattoo minimum because of the small tattoo I wanted to get on my finger. I told them the placement, and they said $50 as long as an artist wanted to do it and that Id have to come in to talk to them. Once I get there, only one artist is there, and begins to tell me how no tattoo will stay on that spot (even though Ive done my research and have another tattoo on one of my fingers) I then show him the one that I have, and he tells me how bad it looks (it doesnt look bad at all whatsoever) and that hed be willing to do it for me but it would cost $125 and that he doesnt do free touch ups. He was rude, and had the nerve to say that I could make an appointment, but that he wouldnt be available for another 4 days. I dont know why he would ever think Id make an appointment with such a disrespectful person that would treat a potential client like that. I will never return, and I will make sure to tell everyone I talk to, not to go there. Dont waste your time!!

I got my second piercing and helix done today by Steve! It went by really fast and I barely felt any pain. Amazing service for the price! Only place I’ll go to from now on.

They are amazing ,did the most precise double button pericing on me ,its definitely like an art to him ,totally recommend him if you thinking of getting your first(anytime) time piercing !!!!

Went there on a Saturday afternoon and got a tattoo done in less than an hr. He drew it up and did the work quick and efficient. Price was reasonable and work was good. Would definitely recommend to others. Thank you for the work snakeman !!

I got my nose done here about 6 months ago. They gave me the basic stud with the hoop inside, and sent me on my way. it hurt pretty bad & felt like there were parts of the hole not actually done correctly. when I went to get a new nose ring, I had to go to a professional and have them take it out. hurt 100 times more than when they put it in, and when they took it out they were horrified. The ring was too short for my nose, bent too much, and damaged my nose. Had to put a new ring in, practically re-piercing it and the healing time has started over because of the damage and the scar tissue. It was a mess, and it is still in pain because of the irresponsibility. Just a warning.

He would no wear a mask and started explaining it to me like I was arguing. I politely asked the woman at the front desk, whose mask was pulled so far down I could see her mouth moving when she talked, if I could request that he wear a mask. His explanation for not wearing one made no sense so I just said “Ok that’s fine, I just won’t get the piercing,” and I left. I don’t care about people’s personal beliefs or actions about masks, but I do care about someone without a mask coming close enough to my face to pierce my nose bc I can’t wear a mask for that. If you are someone who is concerned about your personal safety during a global pandemic, this is not the place for you.

Highly recommend this shop! From the initial walk in, to walking out with a new piece of artwork was a great experience. Steve is a real down to earth person, amazing artist and his work attests for this. I cannot say enough things about this man and his shop. Again, highly recommended!

Snakeman has been around since i was in high school and if you wanted quality work you made the trip to his shop. When i took my daughter for her first body piercing, I realized just how much value you received from making the effort to drive a little further.

This a great location to go for a tattoo or piercing. Very patient when selecting a tattoo and will step you through the entire process to ensure you are comfortable. I will go again and will recommend to others!!! A plus staff.

I had a long awaited coverup tatoo done by Steve that commemorated my service in the Marine Corps. The USMC K-Bar and GySgt chevron came out fantastic. I couldnt be any happier with the results. Gave a nose piercing without proper cleaning instructions to someone who was their first time getting peirced and ended up with infected piercing and had to take nose ring out for good.

Got a simple tattoo on my wrist. Price was responsable, $100. It was a crown and had roman numerals at the bottom. After a week in, the roman numberals started to come together. The crown is lop sided. I will never come here for a tattoo again. Getting a Cover Up at TimeBomb. If your getting a tattoo in Frederick I recommand Timebomb or Black Label.
