Hallie is amazing and has done basically every single tattoo on my body. She has the best designs and ideas even if you don’t know exactly what you want. Shop is super clean and all the staff is friendly.

My husband and I had the best experience with Sarah! She made us feel so comfortable and she is an all around fantastic human. Our tattoos turned out beautiful! Sarahs work is gorgeous and her attention to detail (with our specific nerdom in mind) is impeccable. I could not recommend her more!

Angel did my septum today and was so sweet! She had a very clean station, washed her hands once before and once during, wore gloves, sanitized my jewelry etc. She walked me through standard procedures and aftercare. She made me feel at ease and calm. Thank you! Will absolutely be back!

Blue Crab will forever be one of my favorite places to go for piercings and now tattoos! Danni and Angel are HEAVENLY and will make you feel comfortable throughout your piercing appointment. I had an appointment with Caitlin, their tattoo apprentice is she is a literal goddess. Explains what shes doing, an why shes doing it, and youre guaranteed to have an exciting conversation with her! When she compliments you, it makes you feel like a million bucks, trust me. This shop has always been warm and welcoming, and they make you feel like youre apart of their family. I did a lot of research before getting new piercings and picked BCT because both Danni and Angel are APP members. Ive come here for several piercings from each of them over the past couple of years, and its been a great experience every time. They were kind, calm, and very professional throughout. My piercings from here have all healed extremely well and I love how they look. Highly recommend coming here for piercings!

I took a little road trip with a buddy to get pierced here. Its not in the downtown area, but there is plenty of parking and its close enough to grab a bite or a coffee afterwards. Angel pierced us. She was great- quiet and confident, clean, professional, friendly, answered all the questions beforehand, talked us through what to expect, explained aftercare well.Prices- did some comparing and this place is is fair without gouging you (ha! get it.) Lots of different options for jewelry. Of course what you choose will dictate price. I spent $30 on nose jewelry, my buddy spent $25 on eyebrow jewelry. There is a separate piercing fee.No pics! I respect the rules of the parlor. But both piercings look awesome. We are quite satisfied! :)

Our daughter (age six) wanted her ears pierced! We thought a piercing place would be too expensive and didnt want to wait for an appointment, so we went to a place at the mall. Big mistake! She ended up with crooked earrings and it was NOT actually cheaper!We reached out to Blue Crab Tattoo & Body Piercing to help us resolve the issue. Danni walked us through how to close the incorrect piercing and then 8 weeks later re-pierced our daughters ear. The experience at Blue Crab Tattoo & Body Piercing was FAR better than our first experience (at the mall). Not only was the environment and process more sanitary, but Danni was incredibly professional and spoke to our daughter with so much respect. Her demeanor was very soothing and peaceful as she walked our daughter through every material and step before beginning. The best part of all: we walked away with symmetrical piercings...imagine that!On the way home, our daughter spoke to us about how much she loved the experience!!! I have been to Blue Crab multiple times for piercings with Angel & Danni, but yesterday was my first time getting tattooed there and my artist was Charli.It was the most amazing experience I’ve had with any of my tattoos! I had an idea of what I wanted, and it’s been something I have been wanting for years, and Charli took that idea and created something absolutely beautiful! I was immediately at ease with her and the whole time I felt so comfortable, it was like I was being tattooed by my best friend! She is amazing and I’ll definitely be seeing her everytime! Thank you Charli for this beautiful piece and the experience that came with it!

I can not recommend Blue Crab Tattoo enough!! It was such a clean, happy, fun atmosphere. Sarah did a piece for me and squeezed my niece in after me, and she never once made us feel rushed…she took her time and made our ideas come to life! Not to mention it was my nieces first tattoo, and Sarah walked her through it and did everything to make her calm and more comfortable!! She truly is an amazing artist ♥️ I couldn’t be happier with our tattoos, and I can’t wait to get in her chair again!!

What a great experience! I needed an old tattoo covered up and when other places said they cannot help Brad at Blue Crab was more then happy to meet and consult. He coached me through the process so I knew exactly what to expect. He covered up the tattoo completely and it looks fantastic! The shop was clean and welcoming and I will go back and recommend to anyone that wants a tattoo in the future!

If you’re looking for a tattoo artist that not only has one of kind talent but displays extensive knowledge and is SO fun and relaxing to get tattooed by- then Hallie is your girl! I’ve gotten lots of work done by her. Most of my tattoos on my body are from Hal, and there’s a reason! You just don’t find them like this anymore, I cannot stress enough how much I appreciate her and her work! Her line work is clean, they heal BEAUTIFULLY, she captures my vision to a T every time. Everywhere I go people stop me and ask where I’ve gotten my work done, it speaks for itself. Not to mention she is a sweetheart, has me laughing and cracking jokes with her the whole time! 10/10 on all levels!

Blue Crab is AWESOME!! They were very responsive and they answered every question I had over email and in person. I sent several reference photos to the shop that required a good bit of imagination and creativity on their part to put together and they certainly delivered!! I saw Brad, the owner, and I couldnt be happier with the result. He was incredible. He really helped me chill out at the start of it (its my first tattoo) and we had a great conversation the entire time. It was super clean and all their licenses are hanging up on a wall on display. Everyone was super welcoming and it was such a nice environment. 10/10! I will post again in 4 days to show how it is healing :)

I had a great experience with Caitlin at Blue Crab. She did micro-blading on my brows and I think they look great already. I asked for a natural look and she did not disappoint. I can only imagine how great they will look healed and after a touch-up. I appreciate her upbeat and perky personality. We had a great time and she completed the session much quicker than I expected.

Are you kidding me?!!! I had no idea this was possible. I simply asked if they thought they could improve what I had at the time.I’ve never seen a tattoo artist twice. And now I know I’ll never see another but Brad Skills again.I don’t do social media such as instagram so I hadn’t seen more than the 9 pieces he has displayed on the website. The silhouette of the man with the umbrella caught my eye and I decided to make an appointment. I’m glad I did.They don’t need another 5 star, but it is well deserved.The only downside I see now is his art making everything else I have look so bad 😀.

The BEST tattoo experience I have had in my 36 years of life so far (and I have a lot of tattoos). Sarah is one of the best tattoo artists in the DMV area! Bedside manor and personality is wonderful. Artwork is beautiful. She really listens to what you are looking for and comes to the appointment excited to do the work, which is a huge deal because I’ve had appointments with artists where it felt like I was bothering them with my questions and talking through what I wanted.)The only qualm is that I wish I didn’t have to wait so long for my next session!

I am so pleased to have stumbled across this local business. I went there to have my nose piercing switched out with Angel. She was very professional and her piercing space looks like a doctors office, very neat, clean, and sterile. She even packed up my old piercing (which was the first tiny stud) in a little to go bag and I was on my way. If I was going to get another piercing, I would definitely go right back to her. AND I love how they text you with the details of your appointment after you make it over the phone. Very helpful! The plants need a horticulturist but that has nothing to do with the quality of my service. I will update you after my next appointment. In the meantime, pick Blue Crab for your piercing needs! Oh, and they have a great selection of piercing jewelry and they have really cool Blue Crab tees and sweatshirts. I might just go back for one of those in the next few days.

Sarah was amazing! She worked with me to design a beautiful memorial tattoo for my dog, Bumi, and was super receptive to my suggestions and requests. The tattooing process itself was great - super clean, friendly, welcoming, and just overall a wonderful experience.

Highly recommend Blue Crab for piercings! I slowly started adding piercings to my ears last year and came to Blue Crab recently after a rough go around with my 2nd lobe piercings, that I had done at another popular place that advertises $10 piercings. After countless infections, endless piercing bumps and constant discomfort, I decided to try Blue Crab for my 3rd and 4th lobe piercings to see if it would make a difference with the healing process. Moral of this story, it absolutely does!The experience was drastically different- from the professionalism of Angel, to the quality of the jewelry, the cleanliness of the entire place, and the healing experience. I had zero pain leaving there, and honestly couldn’t even tell I had just gotten 2 piercings in the same ear. They have healed beautifully with no issues whatsoever, and literally no discomfort at any point.While it does cost more, this was worth every penny to have piercings with zero healing issues. A reminder that you truly get what you pay for. Highly recommend Blue Crab!

I have had Brad do two of my pieces. He did amazing. Basically copy and pasted my birds on my body. He took the image and recreated it on me perfectly. He has not let me down. His work is 100%The shop is very clean, and they do things right there.Today, my daughter (6) got her ears pierced by Ms Danni. She was amazing with her. She took her time, and explained everything to her. She really shocked me with how much she cared about making her comfortable, and making sure that she wanted to get it done. She spent way more time with her than anyone else would. If you are wondering where to get your child’s ears pierced, I highly recommend Danni.I have nothing but excellent things to say about Blue Crab and will continue to use them and recommend them to everyone!

I got my second earlobe piercings done and they were good, sterilizing everything and making it quick and easy. I am not happy with the price though, I paid $150 for the piercings. After I told her I wanted the simplistic and cheapest jewelry. So she showed me them and I said yes, thinking they would be cheap, no they were $60. I think they are overpriced so if you want something for a reasonable price, I don’t recommend. Sorry wont be going back, cant afford it.

Sarah Rice, one of the co-owners, has been my tattoo artist for the last few years. Her work has been so good that when I found out she was starting her own studio, it was a no brainer to come to Blue Crab. Her work is still just as good as ever, and I was very pleased with the cleanliness and layout of the new facility. HIGHLY RECOMMEND coming here!

How to start? Theyre just the absolute best, hands down. Facility is clean and pleasingly decorative - without trying too hard. Parking is plentiful. The artists are all phenomenal (Mark Wright is our go to, but everyone else there has beautiful skills) and their attention to detail is second to none. They Communicated clearly and effectively from the initial appointment request to day of session time reminders I always knew what came next 🤓😎

I went to see Sarah (a personal friend) for a tattoo in memory of my mom. As usual she did a fantastic job. We discussed the sketch I had sent her and the reasons why I had chosen what I did. (Moms favorite flower with 4 leaves for each of her children, a Celtic knot for our Irish heritage and the name of her favorite flower). We made minor changes with my input and Sarahs expertise. I love my new tattoo (this makes #4) and so did my family. Sarah is talented, a beautiful soul and someone I highly recommend.

THE SHOP: Clean!!! Not only was all the equipment obviously brand new and/or sterilized, but the floors were spotless and there wasn’t a spec of dust throughout the entire space. I’ve seen dirtier doctor’s offices than this shop! The front desk/booking was great, accommodating, and included lots of reminders and tips for my upcoming and completed appointment. The healing process was expedited by high tech bandages, too!THE ARTIST: Sarah worked so hard with me to figure out exactly what I wanted! The design felt like a team effort, especially when it came to ensuring my new tattoo fit in well with my existing ones. She worked at my pain tolerance level and made the experience itself fly by!I HIGHLY recommended Blue Crab to anyone considering getting work done, and now understand why I’ve had so many people tell me they’re the best!!!

I accompanied my daughter to Blue Crab to get her septum pierced by Angel. She selected Blue Crab because they are listed on the Association of Professional Piercers website.Im an operating room nurse, and I can honestly say, I cant find a single fault with our experience. Everything was meticulously clean, and all sterilization and handling that I observed was done better than in some medical offices/urgent cares Ive visited.They proudly display their APP affiliation, and their professionalism is evident. Danni is the absolute best!!! She was so kind and professional, I couldn’t have asked for a better piercer. Blue crab as a whole is very meticulous about their hygiene. A friend and I saw Angel to get piercings at the same time. We both got paired nostril piercings, and she took time to make sure they were placed perfectly and as evenly as possible. She worked with me to decide the exact placement I wanted which I was initially unsure about. I even changed my mind about my jewelry after the piercing and she changed the tops for me. Her confident and knowledgeable energy soothed any anxiety I felt before getting the piercings. The whole building was also very clean, and there was plenty of privacy in the room we were pierced in. I had a wonderful experience here, and if I ever get more piercings I will absolutely be coming back.

So I’ve got 2 separate reviews here (technically 3 if you include the shop as a whole).BlueCrab Tattoo itself is easy to get to, with plenty of parking. It’s VERY clean and their online request form (including the process of communicating via email after the request) is straightforward and easy. Each person in the shop I bumped into was super friendly. The environment they’ve created is not intimidating. They are also accommodating in working with your schedule.1) piercing by Danni. Some backstory: I am incredibly self-conscious about my body and was putting off getting my 🍒 pierced because I didn’t want to take my shirt off in front of anyone. (Insert usual concerns for a bigger woman being judged, made fun of, treated differently, IYKYK etc.)I found Danni via google and loved what people were saying in her reviews, so I went for it.And let me tell you-not one of those reviews was wrong or over exaggerated. I cried on the way home because all of my fears were completely destroyed with Danni’s disposition. She wasn’t *just* professional: she went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable on a deeper level-she addressed my concerns with self-consciousness as well as my fears of pain. She didn’t make me feel bad for needing an extra minute to gather myself once it was done. She walked me through the process before and during the piercings. She didn’t mind me using the expletives that slipped out rather loudly and embarrassingly. Oh, and she did a fantastic job with my piercings-they are healing beautifully and I’m thrilled to have them. I absolutely am going back to get more!If you want a personalized piercing experience (with APP certification), Danni’s it.2) Tattoo by Mark. He gets 5 stars alone for his talent. Mine was a big coverup and again-showing parts of my body I’m not comfortable with. I never once felt self-conscious due to his friendliness. He knew exactly what I wanted when I came to the shop with my ideas, and created a beautiful custom piece that I’m so happy to have. If I didn’t like the design/stencil placement, I felt comfortable enough with him to say something (this is a huge deal to an introvert like myself)-however, he nailed the design and stencil on the first go. I got a bit woozy at the end and I didn’t feel rushed to get myself together. It’s also a bonus that he’s hilarious-again contributing to the overall friendliness of the shop. Talent-wise? My piece is stunning. The details are crisp and the coloring pops. Clean lines and you can’t see the old tattoo underneath. (My family members were so impressed that my dad, mom, grandmother and uncle have/plan on getting work done by Mark). Cannot recommend him enough!

I really enjoyed my tattoo session at Blue Crab Tattoo! The shop has a clean, relaxing atmosphere that makes it a real pleasure to visit. Rob knocked my tattoo out of the park with his crisp linework and vibrant colors. Ill definitely be back soon!

I sent him a picture of what I want and told him what I wanted and he put his own spin on it, and made it a masterpiece of his own and it looks great. Ive been getting tattooed by Sarah for 16 years. Ive followed her to every shop she has worked at. She does excellent work! I currently have 18 tattoos by her.I recently went by and got a septum piercing by Angel. She did an excellent job! Im very happy with it.All the staff Ive interacted with has been friendly and very professional. They also keep the shop very clean and their work stations sterile. My granddaughter got her ears pierced, for turning a huge 7 years old. Only two people are allowed in with the person that is getting their ears pierced. The attendant who took care of my granddaughters ear piercing was very very informative and asking my granddaughter direct questions. Overall the experience was great for them I would highly recommend this shop for getting ears pierced. It is a little expensive.....

For a while now I had been thinking about completing my half sleeve, since I hated how it just cut off. Problem is, I am very picky about my artist, having had bad experiences in the past. I was talking to a friend a mine and she was showing me some work she got done. The moment I saw it I told her Thats the artist I want to finish my sleeve! I literally wasted no time in going to the website and completing the contact form for Marko Wright. Keep in mind that I did all this based solely on my friends tattoo and nothing else. I got super lucky that there was a cancellation so I only had to wait a week. Marko was a delight! So funny! He designed the rest of my sleeve to flow naturally with what I had, and he LITERALLY had the LIGHTEST had Ive ever felt on an artist! Dude did not disappoint. Every time I look at my arm, I love it even more. There is still more work I would like to get done and I would very much like him to be my main artist. I cannot recommend this guy enough! You wont regret it!

Hello! I got pierced by Angel and she was so amazing. She did my septum and Nostril. She walked me through every step and made sure I knew what was going on and made me feel so comfortable and helped me feel less nervous. She did such a wonderful job and I am so in love with my piercings.

I truly had a wonderful experience with my piercing by Angel. All of my questions and concerns were answered thoughtfully and respectfully. The space was bright and clean. Angel walked me through the whole process from start to finish and explained each step. The overall energy was calm and comforting. I will be going back for all my piercing needs.

I am a regular of Sarah since the opening of Blue Crab Tattoo. I have done a complete sleeve rework and am now working on a fresh leg sleeve. The service at Blue Crab is amazing. The facility is clean and comfortable. All booths are private, so no unwanted audiences while in the chair. You should also check out the custom art work while you’re there. I have three pieces of original artwork in my home that I picked up at tattoo appointments. Definitely get on the books. It’s worth the wait.

Just finished getting my tattoo done by Brad. It turned out great. Great experience. Great group of people. Shop was clean and they took extra precautions due to Covid and I appreciate the extra level of safety.

The place is clean and sanitized. The staff was very friendly and courteous. Rob listened to what I wanted and very quickly had a mockup and stencil created. He was very gentle as it had been quite a few years since my first tattoo. The process was not too painful! We talked about my next one which I cannot wait to get started! Wonderful! I saw Angel to have my navel done and Danni for my helix. They took the time to explain the process to me, made sure I knew exactly what was happening during the piercing, and answered questions I didnt even know I had when going over aftercare instructions. I have bad anxiety and have passed out from shots/blood work, so I was worried about having a similar reaction during the piercings but did not! They made sure to check in throughout which was very comforting though. Highly recommend!!

My daughter and I went to Angel to get helix piercings. My daughter was adamant that we use an APP certified piercer and did the research before we made an appointment. Though my daughter often gets anxious when getting a shot, Angel put her at ease and she was able to get two helix piercings with confidence. Angel did my first cartilage piercing that day and I was very pleased at how careful she was and with the selection of jewelry they had available. All the communication ahead of time was great and we would definitely go to Blue Crab and to Angel again and highly recommend her.

I’ve been going to Blue Crab for the last two years. They are my go-to when I know what I want in regarding getting tattoos. This is the best shop, in my opinion, in Frederick… if not in the whole state! I’ve worked primarily with Sarah, one of the owners of the shop I believe, as well as Hailey, another very talented tattoo artist there, and every appointment completely blows me away with how perfect the results are. Sarah has helped me slowly piece together a full patchwork sleeve and I love everything about it! I really can’t express enough how terrific my experience has been here. Sarah works relatively fast and with a soft touch and really cares about not putting me through too much pain. Recently, she even provided a tablet to watch Netflix on while in the appointment which was so cool and unique. Also the whole staff is so friendly, professional and non judgmental and the shop it self is gorgeous and very clean. I love blue crab and can’t wait to go back for some more work!

So a couple weeks ago I brought my daughters in to get their ears pierced. Danni was the one who pierced them. It was such an incredible experience. My girls were walked through the whole process and Danni made sure they each wanted to get their ears pierced. It was such a great experience for them that I went in today and had my ear pierced too! The staff is super welcoming and it’s very clean! I will definitely be going back next time I get something done!!

If I could rate ten stars I would! The whole crew at Blue Crab is amazing. Ive been there for a few various piercings and this was my second tattoo Ive trusted Blue Crab with, and Mark absolutely crushed it. I went for an underboob (I mean, is there a more professional name for it?) floral design and when I arrived for my appt Mark already was prepared with a few different sized templates. He knew exactly how to turn my vision into an actual design and not to mention was SO friendly, professional, and made sure my comfort and trust was his top priority. Some people probably get a little weirded out by such an intimate area being tattooed, and Mark made sure that I was covered up from any other guests in the shop, and he was extremely considerate of the way he worked, giving me options to cover up and things like that. He was hilarious and we had a great time, which really helps when youre spending a few hours topless with a complete stranger. The apprentice Charlie has the chair next to him, and was also so sweet and she was really fun to watch work! Thank you guys for such a groovy time as Mark would say, Ill definitely be back soon.

Phenomenal service evertime Ive contacted them. Got my nose peirced with Danni in January and it was an easy and calming experience. And today I was quickly accommodated to come in with Angel to get my nose ring came out and I couldnt get it back in. She was gentle and gave me a few breaks in between as it was a little uncomfortable. Will most definitely come back here for all of my piercing needs!

We had a FABULOUS experience with Danni! She pierced my helix and was great. Most importantly, she pierced my 7 year old’s ears and was absolutely amazing with her. Caitlin does amazing micro blading! I had work done elsewhere that she was able to revive and improve! Her technique is top notch and she gave very thorough follow up instructions. I got my first tattoo done here by Sarah, I was so nervous but as soon as she came out sat on the couch with me and showed me the design she drew for me I felt 90% calmer. She was so nice and easy to work with, happy to make changes to the design to make sure it was what I wanted. Talked me through the steps and got to it! She was precise and quick! My whole experience with Blue Crab Tattoo was absolutely amazing. From setting up my appointment and arriving the day of, everyone I interacted with was so nice and friendly and the shop itself is very clean. I got my septum pierced by Danni and I am *so* happy with the results! I still smile every time I look in the mirror, it’s just so perfect. From the setup, to the actual piercing itself everything was explained to me and you really are put at ease throughout the whole process- I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! I promise you, you won’t regret going to Blue Crab for your piercing needs!

I made the mistake of going to a different piercer which resulted in both of my ears being infected from the start, and on top of that I was having an allergic reaction to the low quality metal that they offered. I went to Danni to have my fresh, 1 month old piercings swapped out for Neometal ones and I am so happy that I did. They were very calming and reassuring and even though it hurt a lot they were very gentle, I know it could have been way worse. Not coming here to get my ears done from the start resulted in my health suffering for well over a month, and spending well over $500 seeing doctors and repurchasing new jewelry. If you are thinking of getting a piercing, come here for it. Dont go elsewhere, its not worth the risk to your health or to your wallet. Thank you Danni and Blue Crab!

I went to BCT for a cover up. Initials in a very tight spot in the back of my arm. When I tell you Rob did the most incredible job covering the area AND bringing my idea to life! I am so impressed! Blue Crab Tattoo has the best microblade professional working for them…Caitlin! She is very passionate about the art of microblading and she takes her time and makes sure you are happy with the results. My eyebrows were sparse in some areas but thick in others. Caitlyn did a fantastic job filling and matching my eyebrow color. I was super pleased with the final result. Be mindful that you need two sessions atleast, sometimes three (in my case) to get the final result. Caitlin tailors your session based on your request. She’s easy to talk to and she has a great personality. She made it a pleasurable experience because you do have to endure a little discomfort during the procedure. It’s not terrible though. She applies numbing gel. Overall she gets 5 stars! So save yourself some time and just book with Caitlin for all your microblading needs! She will not disappoint you.

Loved working with Sarah! She did matching tattoos for my daughters and me a couple of months ago & I went back today to have her re-do an old one that had gotten very faded. She did an excellent job and while I was there she said she had the time to do any others I wanted done. She covered up one with a whole new design and she finished another one that was unfinished from several years ago. When I was uncertain about a color or design, she gave suggestions which I was very grateful for! The shop is very clean. Im sure Ill be going back for again for another one in the near future.

I did all my research to find a new forever tattoo home, and I loved everything I read and saw about Blue Crab. I got lots of communication before my tattoo (plus covid procedures, of course) and Sarah was perfectly on time and we had emailed previously with pictures, etc. It has been a few years since my last tattoo and this one I HAD to get, as it was commemorative- so I was nervous even though I have a bunch!! Sarah was very relaxed (duh), and super friendly, and I really enjoyed telling her about my family member the tattoo was for, and sharing ideas about colors and shapes, and I felt like she would have let me go on and on without any rushing, or tinge of frustration. She was AWESOME and is obviously a very talented artist, it took her a few minutes to make my idea look *PERFECT* and gave her opinion on everything I asked, without pressure. I rambled on and on in the chair about Nana, and my thoughts on her life and death, and in about 40 minutes had a GORGEOUS new tattoo, and a lovely new tattoo shop and artist. Would absolutely reccommend for a relaxed, professional, and friendly experience. I even put a Blue Crab Tattoo Magnet on my minivan ;) Will be back for sure!!

Saw Angel to fix ear piercings from childhood. She was amazing answering questions and going over jewelry options. There was no sense of being hurried like I have experienced other places. . The space where my piercings were done was incredibly clean. The earrings and all parts of the process were sanitized before we started. Hardly any pain at all. I woke up this morning, dreading a reaction with the earrings like I had as a child, waking up to crusty earrings. I am so glad I had the opportunity to have Angel. I am also glad I followed a friend’s recommendation who was pierced at Blue Crab Tattoo as well. Thank you Angel.

Today was the first time ever I did a Tattoo. Robert was so patience and nice about all the questions I had, about how nervous I was and made the experience very smooth and nice, I honestly thought he had not even started (cause I was looking to the opposite side 🤣) but he was more than half way done, and I was not feeling much. I honestly love the ambient they have in the shop and their vibe as well. 100% would recommend and definitely coming back!

I went to Blue Crab Tattoo for the first time today to get a tattoo done by Sarah one of the shop owners. Sarah worked with me before my appointment to try to understand my vision for the tattoo & was very easy to work with. I love how creative she is & her style of work. She showed me designs for the tattoo that I hadn’t even thought of & I ended up going with her style direction with the tattoo instead of the original vision I had, & I’m so glad I did. The tattoo looks amazing, flows beautifully, & I couldn’t be happier! She really listens to her clients wants & she does such beautiful work. She also is very conscious of making sure her clients are comfortable during tattooing, we all know tattoos hurt & you always want your artist to make sure you’re okay & allow you to take breaks, etc if needed throughout the session instead of making you suffer through & the pain become unbearable. I was having a tough time getting through the shading & she was patient & worked with me through it. Sarah is a friend & I’ve been so excited to get a tattoo from her & visit her shop, the shop didn’t disappoint, it’s got a great style & is very clean. Overall check in routine was great as well with booking an appointment. They were very friendly and efficient. The overall piercing process was done very well. Angel made sure everything was cleansed well and that I was comfortable with the whole process. The process and aftercare were explained with much clarity. These were our first non-lobe piercings.From beginning to end, the experience was comforting, safe, and easy. I travel from Richmond va to come to Blue Crab Tattoo. I am in awe of how professional, clean and structured the shop is. I got a quarter sleeve done after many many hours of research for the right artist. There was so much detail, making sure I was comfortable and happy the entire time, and priced extremely well especially for the work. I booked another appointment at check out to continue my sleeve. Unfortunately I had to cancel with advance notice and was able to make another appointment and they were understanding for the advance notice. I now have my half sleeve done and I am in awe. When I first met my artist we came up with a concept for the full arm. He gave his professional opinion for a couple changes that I am SO happy he did. He saw a vision in what I wanted and made it so much better. I cannot rave about Blue Crab enough. I HIGHLY suggest anyone that is wanting a tattoo or knows someone wanting a tattoo to come here. It is worth the drive from wherever you are. After all this is on your body forever. I cannot wait for my next appointment!

I got my nipples pierced by Dani, and i could not have had a better experience. I came back because she did my nose piercing a year ago and did such a good job, but today really exceeded all my expectations. She is such a funny, charismatic, and sweet person that I completely forgot to even have anxiety about the piercing. She did a fantastic job with the piercing and telling me everything i need to know about aftercare. I cannot wait to go back for any future piercings i need.

Had an exceptionally good experience at Blue Crab Tattoo & Body Piercing today. I met with Danni, to get both my ears pierced for the first time. As a 36 year old geezer, I had no clue what to expect. Danni took the time to walk me through everything step by step and was as professional as they come. I would highly recommend visiting this location! Customer service was top notch.

Today was our second time taking our daughter in for ear piercings. Both Angel and Danni were super! From setting up appointments, to getting the piercings, everything was great. They really took time to explain things and make sure our daughter was comfortable. All the staff we encountered were friendly and the shop is clean. Fun selection of jewelry too!

I will never go to a different tattoo artist after Mark. His work is PHENOMENAL! I had a tattoo artist from a different place do a tattoo that came out really bad and I went to Mark and he made it beautiful! His line work can’t be beat. He has ruined me ever going to anyone else cause his tattoos are the best. If Google let me do 10/10 stars I would. I recommend him to everyone I know because of his amazing skills! I walked in a few minutes late and they were very welcoming. Prior to my appointment I had to reschedule a few time and they were gave me very positive responses! Also when they send you emails they respond incredibly fast! Blue Crab tattoo is a very clean facility, well organized, and incredibly friendly staff! Angle was my piercer, and she made me feel very calm and relaxed, she told me everything she was going to do ahead of time, and the service was very quick. I would recommend this place for piercings!

Danni was absolutely lovely and so helpful with my septum piercing today. She went through the process in how the piercing was going to go before getting it done and helped me calm down before getting pierced. I went to Sarah for a new tattoo and a touch up on a preexisting tattoo. Sarah is incredible at taking ideas that I have and fully bringing them to life. She did a super cute and touching memorial piece for my puppy that passed not too long ago and it brought me and my family to tears. She’s an incredible artist and really shows her expertise and isn’t afraid to speak what she believes is right or explain her reasonings. 100/10 recommend blue crab tattoo for any service everyone is beyond amazing!

I cannot recommend this shop enough, and Sarah in particular! I provided a reference and Sarah worked with me to perfect the design for my tattoo, ensuring it fit and complimented the area where I got it. Sarah herself is extremely skilled and the tattoo looks even better than I could have imagined! The shop is spacious, each artist has a large workstation with curtains that provide privacy. First time coming to blue crab piercings, I got my third piercing total. Angel pierced my ear (helix) and was very helpful to all the questions I had and eased any concerns. She made everything very clear about how the piercing would work. The space was very clean and everyone was very kind. Not to mention the earrings to choose from were very pretty, i myself got an opal jewel that was roughly inexpensive. I’m looking forward to getting another piercing (upper lobe) at another time.

I had the BEST experience with Sarah!! She was super knowledgeable, her artwork is AMAZING, she was so sweet and made me feel comfortable immediately. I am so in love with my tattoo, and I get stopped and asked where it was done!! I am brainstorming what to do next (and so is my husband, he’s definitely going to see Sarah soon!!) It healed beautifully too, Sarah was very clear with instruction and product suggestion. It didn’t scab at all and had just a tiny bit of peeling. I am SO PLEASED. Thank you Sarah!! :)

Where do I begin. Sarah took the image I had through pictures and in my head and brought it to life. I’m so beyond happy with my tattoo. After explaining what I wanted, I could tell immediately that we were on the same page which made me feel comfortable and relaxed. You can tell she loves what she does… and she doesn’t disappoint! Went this past Friday for two helix piercings and a nostril piercing with Danni. I arrived, rang the bell and was quickly greeted. I was asked to have a seat while another customer checked out. After that Danni walked me through their selection and we talked about placement. She then explained she was going to set up and I’d see her walk in and out of a room, which was where she was sterilizing everything. About 10 minutes later we were ready to go. She made marks where she planned on piercing and double checked that’s what I wanted. She then explained everything that would happen and checked I was doing well after every step. These weren’t my first piercings, but it’s been awhile, so I definitely appreciated the thoroughness. Before I left we went over after care procedures and she let me know how to contact her with any follow up questions. Absolutely recommend for piercings, Danni was amazing. The shop was very clean and it’s clear they care about keeping guests and staff safe.

I worked with Angel to do five ear piercings and a navel piercing. She does a great job explaining what’s going the process and how to take care of your piercings. She makes you comfortable and does everything as quick and painless as possible. Worth every penny to get pierced here:)

I’ve now had 2 piercings here, and also brought my 11-year old daughter for her 2nd ear lobe piercing and couldn’t be happier! Compared to previous experiences, the Blue Crab is noticeably less painful, heals faster, and they are incredibly diligent about cleanliness. Took my 11 year old daughter to have her earlobes pierced for the first time with Danni. Danni made my daughter Luna feel very comfortable and relaxed. Danni explained everything to her so she will not be surprised by anything in a way that Luna could understand and in a very respectful manner, giving Luna authority and empowerment over the whole process. It was fast, extremely professional and her piercings look healed already. I would recommend her for any piercing needs.

I had an wonderful experience getting pierced (lobes and brow) by Danni at Blue Crab. She was very informative and professional, but still so kind. She was also incredibly sweet, patient and reassuring when my 9 year old kiddo got nervous and let the tears fall when the time came to get her lobes pierced. I couldnt dream of better service. The tattoo artist I went to, Hallie, was wonderful. I gave her the elements that I wanted in the tattoo and she had a drawing all ready to go by the time I got to the appointment. I have been following Brad for some time on instagram and I have always admired his work and finally saved up money to treat myself to a tattoo! I am sooo happy with how my tattoo turned out. He did a portrait of my cat who is no longer with us and some peonies on my forearm. I highly recommend Blue Crab. Brad is very talented! I booked an appointment to get my septum re-pierced with Angel and everything was awesome. The place is super clean, organized, private and doesn’t have a whole bunch of randoms because it’s appointment based only. When having my piercing done with Angel I had no worries going into it as they are an APP member. Going through the process she was super nice, made sure I was never too uncomfortable, that I felt alright and that everything was sterile and clean! I very much recommend this place it’s 100% worth it (I drove an hour from WV)!

I went to get my conch and forward helix piercing this past Sunday. I waited about two weeks for my appointment which is less then I was expecting. My piercers name was Angel and she was very good. My appointment was scheduled for right when they opened so I was the only customer there. When you go in you and anyone you bring with you is directed to wash your hands. They have an automatic sink and soap dispenser so you dont touch anything. After you wash your hands you pick out your jewelry and Angel explained the difference between each type of Neo Metal, gold, silver, the sizing and price. She was happy to help when I couldnt make up my mind on what sizes I want and what would look best in my ear. After all that I checked in and we headed back to the piercing room. I only had one person with me and she let him come in the room and sit with me. She cleaned each piercing stud and cleaned my ears. She must have changed her gloves 15 times while getting set up to pierce. She wore a normal cloth mask as well as a clear face shield. After the piercing you check out and get after care instructions. Overall the experience with Angel was very good. She made it a clean and comfortable environment. I will defiantly be going back and recommending Blue Crab to friends and family.
