I love this shop so much - the artists, the art, the vibes - it’s all amazing! I’ve been going here for three years now. I have tattoos from multiple artists, including a patchwork sleeve by Sabrina, and I have gotten several piercings (earlobes, nostril, daith). The quality of service is unmatched. Everyone who works here is fun, compassionate, and kind. It is clear that this business was built on integrity. Everything feels intentional - the top notch communication, the accepting environment, the focus on creating beautiful and unique art pieces for each client. I truly cannot say enough good things about this place. As someone who struggles with anxiety, this is a safe space for first time clients. I got my first tattoo here, and I think I was just as excited about my experience at the shop as I was about my tattoo! I have fun every time I’m here, and this shop is a true light in the community. Cannot recommend enough ❤️

Amazing tattoo experience from beginning to end. Got an incredible design on the first try from my rough description, the vibes in the shop were immaculate. My artist Sabrina is so talented its crazy. Very strongly recommend, I saw great professionals working in every position.

Peri is the best piercer I’ve been to! Super professional, personable, and clean. Paid attention to detail and symmetry, is confident and enjoys what she does! Her energy is bright. Would recommend her over and over. Meaghan, at the front desk, was just as easy to talk to and is passionate about making the space comfortable and welcoming. LOVE THIS PLACE!

This is very long but PLEASE READ BEFORE GOING HERE FOR A PIERCING. I feel bad to leave this review after how incredibly nice everyone is there and how my experience went customer service wise, but I have had the absolute worst piercing experience there. I went on a whim after seeing good reviews and had many recommendations to go get my septum pierced a couple weeks ago but ended up getting my inner conch instead. First red flag was that I passed out after she pierced me which I have never done. I have several piercings and tattoos and never had I passed out before. Everything was great until the 3rd day when it started swelling badly. My ear was so swollen there was no space in between my ear and the bar. I did some research and it said swelling was very common with this type of piercing. I tried to trust what was said but I was in so much pain from throbbing constantly that I went to go see the piercer at Figure 8 again and get her opinion. She said it was very swollen and didn’t say whether is was good or bad and then proceeded to put in a longer bar which was very painful. When I left out of there the bar wasn’t even longer than the one she pierced me with. The swelling only got worse and I didn’t sleep the entire night due to the pain I was in and I ended up making the decision to go to prime care the next day. The doctor told me it was very infected and needed to go back to the piercer and get it taken out. There was no way I was going back there and ended up going to my regular piercer. When I got there my normal piercer wasn’t there but there was a very nice girl that was there and she said the jewelry was way too short to accommodate for the swelling and does not recommend taking it out due to the infection could get trapped when the hole closes up. She ended up putting in a much longer bar and told me the jewelry Figure 8 used was very cheap titanium. Unfortunately, my ear instantly swelled up with the much longer bar. That following Tuesday night, the pain was so unbearable I ended up going to the emergency room to see if there was anything they could do. They put me on antibiotics and told me the swelling should go down in 24-48 hours. Two days later nothing was happening and I ended up going back to my regular piercing place to see my piercer and told me I should take it out because having the bar in wasn’t doing me any good and in the process he had told me that the angle she pierced my ear was completely wrong and that she caused damage to my ear with the way she pierced me and that was the cause for my terrible healing process. Inner conch piercings are supposed to be a breeze with the healing process. I have my industrial bar and that healing process is terrible but NOTHING COMPARED to what I have dealt with this one. I did everything I was supposed to do. I have 9 other piercings I know how to take care of them and in which I have never had any problems with but the one time I go to Figure 8 I have the worst piercing experience ever. I went and got my belly button pierced in a piercing place that was IN A GYM and I still have no problems with that. I am still in pain and even with the jewelry taken out my ear is still swelling. You can’t even make the shape of my ear out. It’s to the point Tylenol, Ibuprofen, and Motrin don’t help anymore. The antibiotic hasn’t done anything to help either. I haven’t slept properly in weeks due to the constant throbbing pain and on Monday I have to go to the ENT to probably get my ear sliced opened and drained. 0/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND FOR PIERCINGS.

I had the best experience at Figure 8 Ink Studios! I was so lucky to have Tricia do my tattoo! She is delightful and very talented. I will definitely be visiting again! So happy with my tattoo!

I went here to get my nose piercing changed out not done I asked the lady that greeted me how much and she said $30 for the first and &5 for the second 😂🤭 lol I went downtown to sorry mom tattoo it was only ten bucks to change both I knew I should’ve stuck with what I know anyway sorry mom customer for life 😂😂

I am a long time client of Figure 8 but just recently had the pleasure of getting a tattoo by Sabrina! I cannot say enough about how pleased I am with my tattoo and the entire experience! The shop itself is sophisticated, warm, and inviting. You would feel comfortable bringing your mama here! Sabrina is an amazing artist, very kind, and ensures that you are comfortable along the way. All of that is wonderful..... but her skill and linework blew me away!! She worked with me on the design going back and forth making sure I had exactly what I wanted. Ive loaded a pic (still red as it was fresh) but I will let it speak for itself! Thank you so much Sabrina! I love it!

I am so happy with my first experience here! I got my septum pierced and was really nervous about it. Peri was so kind, laid back, conversational, knowledgeable…All of these qualities really eased my experience. She answered all of my questions and did the actual piercing fast. Literally the best piercer I’ve ever been to…and no doubt ever will go to. I so recommend! Beyond this, everyone else I came across in the shop was so kind as well! 10/10!

I absolutely love Figure 8! I rave about them to everyone. They have such a cute shop, so much women empowerment, accommodating, acceptance, professional, comfortable, and take pride in their work.I’ve gone to Sabrina for my past 2 big tattoos and will be coming back for my third. She has wonderful bedside manners, she’s so gentle, and she always makes the environment comfortable. Sabrina will make sure you leave feeling great and happy with your tattoo. I have gotten a couple tattoos by Sabrina and they’re absolutely amazing!! Not only is she patient but she wants to make sure you’re getting what you want. My partner and I had piercings done by Peri and she made us feel so comfortable and made sure we knew every part of the process. Not to mention how clean everything is! They don’t play when it comes to being clean and sanitary. The staff is always so friendly and I feel like I’m talking with friends when I’m there! Highly recommend :)

I first visited for assistance with a nose piercing from another shop that I was having issues with and was treated with such kindness. I was immediately comfortable and decided to go back for two tattoos (done by Sabrina!!). They’re amazing and make clients feel so comfortable. Will forever be recommending them and will continue to come back!

Peri did an amazing job on me and my boyfriends piercings. She was so clean and precise with her piercings and made sure everything was symmetrical on my second lobe piercing and my boyfriends second nostril. I literally just left from getting two piercings. Peri is literally THE BEST piercer I have ever worked with. I came in wanting something else originally and her honesty about placement and timing was so great. We revamped and I let her choose where to pierce and oh my goodness, my heart is so happy. I’m literally thinking of what to get pierced next. She is definitely one of a kind.Also, the studio smelled AMAZING! And the customer service was impeccable! I have gotten a medium-sized tattoo and a piercing redone at Figure 8, and I can’t recommend them enough. Tricia and Tobias are incredibly talented, as well as Peri, their piercer. Gabby, who manages the front desk and is the shop assistant, is super helpful and welcoming and is also very knowledgeable. My tattoo turned out great... I’ve had it for a while and it still looks amazing. More recently, I came in to get my septum piercing re-pierced because the first place I got it done at (which was not Figure 8) gave me really cheap jewelry and it ended up falling out of my nose in the shower. Peri was very welcoming and she did her job very well. Overall, I have had a great experience here and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good tattoo/piercing shop in Fredericksburg.

I have gotten a few tattoos done by the owner Tricia. She is INCREDIBLE and so is the work she did! The shop atmosphere is always so much fun, yet professional and they are always so helpful!! This was hands down the best tattoo experience Ive had. Evan worked with me to add to an existing tattoo and I now feel it is officially complete. He listened to what I wanted and took everything into consideration and gave me a piece I will love forever. Picture is day 1 so there is swelling/redness but I am so impressed.Evan and everyone there I came into contact with were so nice and inviting. I didnt feel uncomfortable and conversation flowed well. Beautiful shop and extremely talented artists! Cannot say enough.

I seriously could NOT have asked for a better experience for my first tattoo!!! The best place to come have work done. I had the privilege to meet Patricia the owner, very down to earth a true delite to meet. Stefan my artist is the greatest 2nd time to use his services. I would never use anyone else. A truly family vibe studio, everyone is friendly, polite and courteous . I highly recommend Figure 8. I first went there at the recommendation from a friend. Trish brought back to life a very old tattoo. Since then I have had 4 other tattoos done by Trish and each one is exactly what I wanted. She is truly an artist. Figure 8 Ink is the best. I have gotten so many compliments on my tattoos .My next door neighbor took her daughter there to get her 1st tattoo. Trish made sure she was comfortable and had chairs set up for her Mom and friend who were there for support.

My friend, my daughter, and myself made an appt for 3 nose piercings, the appt links were easy, deposits were reasonable and when it came to the actual appt everyone was very professional and fun to talk to. The piercings went smooth and explained very well. Highly recommend

Day after my daughter got her piercing(which was a pleasant experience), I called because it was swollen and had the jewelry had vanished inside of her ear. I was told “go to the doctor”🤨. I explained that the jewelry just needed to switched out, for a longer piece (not my first rodeo). Then the lady said they weren’t available. Horrible after care. Definitely find somewhere else.🥺👎🏻

Figure 8 Ink is my go to shop. I have gotten tattoos done by both Trisha and Tobias and was very amazed by their work. The atmosphere is very comforting and it has a way of making you feel at home. Definitely recommend coming and getting some ink from these wonderfully talented artists.

I originally reached out to the shop via the Facebook page. My cousin and I were looking for a shop to do a memorial tattoo for our Mama who passed away 1 week ago. I got a quick response on FB, and the owner even responded to the email with our design idea on Thanksgiving day. Wayy above and beyond in my opinion. Tobias called us the next day to confirm our appointment with him. Everyone we spoke with was very kind and professional. The shop is lovely and has a great atmosphere. This place is my oasis of sanity. I am taking the advanced drawing and painting classes and I am thrilled with the instructor/owner, Tricia. She breaks things down so simply and every time I leave with a finished product I am astounded that I actually created that.
