Went to get my second neck dermal. i called before hand, they made me pay a deposit and after service charged me the deposit plus an extra $150 said the extra money was for a piercing aftercare bag they GAVE me, i DID NOT ASK FOR NOR WANTED. customer service was trash and after a year the piercing rejected, but I still have the first one I got in 2016 from a different piercer. worst piercing experience ive ever had and anytime anyone asks about them i make sure they dont waste their time or money like i did. wish i could give negative stars

I love this shop! Everyone is incredibly friendly, the interior is kept very clean as well. Rara is an expert piercer. She took the time to explain what jewelry would work best for my navel piercing and why. Shes incredibly knowledgeable and also kind. I will be coming back here for future piercings 100%!

An vibey and chill tattoo/piercer shop. I came in as a walk-in an hour before they closed and my piercer, Tina, did an amazing job at aligning my medusa perfectly and took her time every single time she had to redo the marker placement dot. My piercer was also very informative and took her time explaining the different jewelry pieces and how they would affect you (tugging, etc). I will 100% recommend this place to anyone in the area and will definitely come in again in the future for more piercings.

I got two piercings here, no steak and a cartilage, and they were so friendly and professional, I felt right at home. Cameron made feel relaxed and was super kind and gentle.A clean, colorful, and unique environment, I truly could not suggest them more!Also, the first time I ever went, my friend was getting a tattoo and they were really patient and cool. Love this place!!

I took my 7 yr old daughter to get her ears pierced. It was a wonderful experience. Absolutely love Cameron. He really took his time explaining everything to my daughter and made sure she was comfortable while getting her ears done. He even played the sound track to Moana for my daughter. Really admire his professional manner. Highly recommend this place!

I strongly believe when you get body work you listen to your artist. Well..thats the last time I do that! I paid $95 for my daughter naval piercing. And the jewelry recommended by the artist was too small, sucked into her body, caused an infection and needed to be removed within days Also, the artist advised to wash the piercing with saline wash. Wrong! Saline wash is not strong enough to prevent an infection. When we returned, they did remove the jewelry but never offered a refund or additional piercing free of charge. Save your money and time by going somewhere else.

Cameron was great!! went in about a week ago and got my nose pierced, he was very calming and did a wonderful job with placement and making the piercing very quick and painless. he also helped me pick out the perfect stud and explained everything so well!! i love the piercing and i would recommend him to anyone.

Got my nose pierced there this evening and had a very pleasant experience! Probably the most professional tattoo shop Ive ever been to in regard to how their piercing room is run. Very clean and I felt very comfortable. Ill def. Be back in the future!

Ive had 2 piercings and 1 tattoo done here and have had nothing but perfect experiences. Everyone at this shop is so friendly and welcoming, and the place is very clean and looks inviting. The piercings are pricy compared to other places in the area, but you are paying for high quality jewelry and a talented piercer so it is beyond worth the money.

Cameron has changed my jewelry twice after a mistake made by a different piercer. Hes knowledgeable and is incredibly sweet I felt completely at ease. He gives great advice on what will look the best on the size of the piercing I highly recommend you come in and ask for Cameron.

Tony Talbert did my tattoo, and I couldnt be happier with it! The entire experience was flawless. There was a bit of a scheduling issue and he was double booked, but he rearranged everything so he could take care of me, considering that I was coming from out of town. In total, he spent about 5 hours with me, making sure I was perfectly happy with the design, making sure I was comfortable during the tattoo, and going over every detail so that it was perfect. The shop was the cleanest Ive been in, the staff and other tattooers were extremely nice and welcoming. Im going back in August for more work by Tony, but I would trust any of the artists to tattoo me, as well.

Great people in this shop. I got lost and my phone was dead, and somehow I ended up there. Turns out I found a new tattoo shop I will definitely be back to. They hooked me up with a charger, and got me home tonight. The place has a great feel to it also. It makes you feel at home unlike other shops I’ve been to. Its honestly a very beautiful shop, and I highly recommend checking it out if you’re near the area. Thanks again guys, you’re awesome!

Jeremiah did an amazing job piercing my nostril! He made me feel so comfortable by chatting away while he prepared all the things he needed to pierce me. Overall a really great guy and was super sweet. I’m a baby with piercings and he made it a breeze. I would give him 10 stars if I could!! I have been a loyal customer for years, having gotten 2 of my piercings here and recommend friends, I called to make a tattoo appointment and was met with a rude receptionist that refused to tell me what dates were available for appointments or even a gauge of what the timeline would be, she was very snippy and unprofessional, and kept me on hold 90% of the call. I am upset to say that I will no longer be recommending or returning here, considering it is not only pricey, which was bearable with nice service, but considering the service was horrible, I will not be returning.

I made a point to see Vicki for my nostril and daith piercing a little over a week ago. She is the best in my experience. She really knows her stuff! She was super cool during the whole experience. She walks you through everything, before/during/after, you have everything you need and need to know. Very comfortable to get pierced by her. Cant wait to go back next week for my next round. I am super stoked!

Very classy and not your “typical” tattoo shop. Cameron Odom is an amazing professional body piercer. I’ve been to see him twice and highly recommend him. If you go see him, you will hardly feel a thing. He is that good!

My recent tattoo... the line work was shaky. This shouldnt be an issue from an experienced tattoo artist. My artist name was Matt. Friendly guy and drawings are good. Yet he couldnt do a basic simple tattoo. I loved it at first but after my tattoo peeled and healed, I see the errors. The line work is bad and lines should be very strong. The shop overall seems alright I guess it all depends on the artist. I hate to be that person and I normally dont write reviews but if you have a tattoo that needs bold lines or a quote. Do not go to him. Ask for the most requested tattoo artist and theyll perhaps do better. Not sure if hes new or an apprentice but Im upset. Luckily, its a tiny tat, I cant imagine if it were big ;(

The staff are awesome. The piercing procedure was excellent and very clean/sterile. I was nervous. Cameron was very professional and very calming. (Thank you) . I would recommend and return.

Piercing was great. Artist was professional. However, the money situation at this shop is VERY SHADY. They would not tell me the price of the jewelry until I asked twice and they NEVER mentioned that I would be charged a $160 artist fee just for working with Jeremiah (this information is also not publicly available). I was also charged an additional $10 for saline spray I never asked for and was never told was going to cost extra. The only reason I found out how much they were going to charge me is because I asked right before they swiped my card. They were not going to tell me the total, even as they were swiping my card. I thought it was just be being dumb but since then over 10 people have reached out to me and said similar things have happened to them where the price is hidden from you. In one case my friends credit card was taken and swiped and no receipt was given. She had to find out from her bank how much they charged. ANYWAYS, for three BASIC ear piercings it costed $211.51.

I really wasnt sure what to expect. I took our daughter to have her ears and helix peirced. I had always done the traditional gun piercing. After this not working for my daughter, and the recommendation of a friend to try a professional piercing, we ended up here. I really cant say enough. Cameron was professional, sterile, and had amazing customer service skills. I would (and will) reccomend them to anyone!! She is thrilled and I know it was professionally done. It was a win-win for us today!!

(Update) all the artist left and the management is pretty much running the shop into the ground after chasing all the good artist out, but not to fear they are mostly still in the area I know some started there own shop called sweetheart tattoo and some of the others went to different shops around Area but if your looking for good ink skip this place and go to sweethearts or sorry moms pretty much anyplace but here. Sorry this place use to be the spot but it’s different now and I think most people know why

Staff is very friendly. That is the only plus I have. I had an appointment at 4pm a couple of weeks ago. My artist (Matt) did not start the stencil until 5:40. He then said Give it 15-20 to dry and we can get started. He left to go run an errand and left me waiting for an additional 45 minutes. Luckily Im a patient person. We are now going on almost 2-1/2 hours Ive been waiting to get tattooed.I was expecting it to be finished that day but since I had to wait for so long, it wasnt able to get done. The following day When I took the bandage off I got to looking at the tattoo (which isnt a very detailed tattoo). Its a black and white american flag going down my right shoulder. The black stripes turn into the muzzle or barrel end of different types of firearms. On the stencil the stars looked perfect. After he finished the union part of the flag, the stars looks absolutely TERRIBLE. Completely unsymmetrical. The lines on the white stripes are shaky and I noticed some parts where lines dont even connect. As far as coloring in, very patchy. Some spots are lighter than what they should be. Just very bad.Im at the point to where I dont even want to go back in and have Matt fix it. The reason I came back to GMT for this piece was because Matt did a great job on my last piece. I will not be coming back to have them fix it. I will take my business elsewhere and have someone else fix it, and hopefully I wont have to wait 2-1/2 hours after my scheduled appointment.

I dont do many reviews but I definitely wanted to get on here and show my appreciation towards Golden Monkey Tattoo. I am getting a bio-mechanic sleeve and I just finished my first session of a few sessions here and the experience was wonderful. Drew was my tattoo artist and I cant say enough good things about him. One of the most appreciative things that happened was multiple people kept coming to ask him to look at their tattoo or talk to him and Drew would not go until we were at a break. The professionalism and dedication to his craft just spoke volumes when he did that and I look forward to finishing up this sleeve and getting more in the future.As far as the shop itself goes, very very clean, friendly employees, I watched an artist set up and clean up and the amount of time and care to make sure everything was completely clean was phenomenal. The only con I would say is that chair he used, Im a big guy and he used a padded folding chair which did not sit well with my butt (im really reaching for a con).

My man Diego was on his first week at the shop...I took a shot as a walk in and he killed it! Id recommend and I would go back for sure. Super clean and fun atmosphere.

I had called to inquire on their piercings. The front desk seemed very nice and since they take walk-ins I could come in that day. When I came in I explained to the artist what I had wanted. Then I was escourted to their jewelry to pick out which makes the ear piercing cost more because of their Unique Designs. But I really hadnt decided which type of style I want based on the pricing that they calculate. Which is pretty expensive! The piercer also didnt you go over a piercing plan for me. But in the end I ended up going somewhere else.

Dont go here EVER! If I could leave less I would! First off the dude with tattoo bangs totally ripped us off! Came back to get the nose piercing out as its supposed to be INCLUDED. Guess when I didnt buy the earrings they had to replace the starter one they decided they could charge me. I didnt like the hoop I brought he said he would swap it back to the original. However once he started he says it will be $30! By then its too late, dude your in the middle of doing it. They charged me $30 to swap it after telling me no problem. Then when its too late surprise we are charging $30! Tried to sell me what I had already for $90 and I bought that for less...when they realized I wasnt buying the one they showed for more they decided to say they are charging $30 more after the pliers where in my nose!!! Horrible service. No price list on request. Up charges for a piercing already paid. Better not charge more when I have to go back. Not to mention the guy that WORKS there said he was going to NY to get a tattoo, like really dude why not get a tattoo in YOUR shop!!! Should have known better!! I have video of the whole thing so dont believe them!!!

This place is amazing and I have gotten two tattoo here from two different people. Theyre all amazing and so great to work with! The atmosphere is really chill. I absolutely recommend them for anyone. This place is my forever tattoo shop.

Got my nose Pierced today and Cameron was very Excellent very professional walk me through everything told me what he was doing it made me feel very comfortable and at ease. I honestly didn’t feel anything! Shop is very clean and staff is very friendly!!

I got my first tattoo when I was 18 (2 years ago) from these guys. I got it about 4 days after graduation with my grandmother (she paid for mine and hers. dont worry she had a very solid ankle). I came up with my design the night before my consultation. When we went they told us what needed to be done and what size needed for the details we wanted. Mine just needed to be a bit bigger; however we needed a whole different design for my grandmother. They were very patient and helpful in finding a new one for her; they even helped personalize it. Over all both tattoo cost $140.

Got my first tattoo from Stephan about 2 years ago and he was fantastic, he really made sure I was in love with the design before I went ahead with it. And quite a few of my relatives only go here and theyve never had an issue...definitely the place to go!

Took my daughter to get her ear piercing for a second hole. $60 for one ear piercing is the most expensive that I have foundI will say I was very impressed that we were shown that the equipment was sterilized.

Piercings - as a perfectionist, I couldnt help but appreciate the measurement, precision, and care that was put into piercing my nose. She was very helpful and answered any questions I had, she took the time to explain what she was doing and was spot on when it came to the range of pain I would be expecting.

Friendly staff. Impressive Star Wars and other eighties /retro toy collection in the piecing room. Not my favorite style of tattoo artistry. They had a laid back lounging area in the front of the venue.

I got my first tattoo here a few years ago, boy has this place changed. I went in the other day for the start of my side/back piece and not only would they not break it up into multiple sessions they insisted I sit down and get every piece of line work done on one day, then break the shading up into 3-5 sessions... They were pushy and didnt seem to understand what I wanted in the first place.Needless to say, I took my business else where and got tattooed that same day.This place seemed more like a drama filled hang out for punks instead of a tattoo parlor. There were about 7 people sitting behind the desk, another 4 on the couches, but yet they only had one tattooer on duty. Something just didnt seem right.

Tina is literally an angel my vertical labret was badly misplaced from another shop and visited here the next day she realized the problems automatically, stopped the bleeding, and made sure I was okay throughout the whole process and after highly recommend this place everyone is so sweet!

Pushed me into putting a deposit down on a time by saying they were very flexible and I could reschedule if anything came up...I called to reschedule and of course they kept my hundred bucks and even asked for another deposit...After speaking to a reputable shop in town, I feel fortunate to have only lost a little money and not to be stuck with a horrible tattoo from inexperienced artist trying to steal for his drug addiction..Thank You Golden Monkey!!!
