They’re the best!! I’ve gotten 2 tattoos done with Brad. He’s really nice and down to earth. By far the best experience I’ve had with any of my tattoos!!

I’ve had a couple pieces done by Angelina. Her artistry, creativity, and care for bringing to life an idea are absolutely like none other. The shop is tidy, welcoming and in a great location. Angelina’s attention to detail leaves me speechless and I keep on coming back. She has a gentle hand and the final pieces are insanely incredible.

I have been to Human Canvas four times in the past year, most recently a week ago. I have worked with Emily once, and the other three times with Amanda. I first heard of the studio from a photographer friend who had a delightful upper arm sleeve.My visits have been during the time of Covid-required restrictions, which have not been burdensome. Just call the studio when you arrive, then enter when they call back. We all wore masks during the visits even if the state had eased restrictions.My session with Emily was one of those last minute pop-up ones. I got to the studio the morning of, called, and ended up being her second client. She was very knowledgeable and able to handle the outline I had, and told me what would work. I had a blue crab with the Maryland flag inside it. She described what would work artistically. (I am not an original artist, but I do have enough understanding of the basic principles of art).My sessions with Amanda were for three different projects. The first was her adaptation of a picture from one of my favorite childrens book, The Clown Of God.She was very faithful to the final picture from the end of the story-the now smiling Child, sitting on the lap of the Madonna, holding the Sun In The Heavens ball of the juggler/clown.My next session with Amanda earlier this year was for two grains of wheat, laying next to a cross from another artist. And finally, last weeks session was to place a vine of grapes intertwined with the wheat, the cross, and two other religious tattoos.At all times, we discussed pricing, and were very clear from the get-go.

Booking, design collab/coordination, and my seated session was great! Corrine was able to capture my idea in a sketch, work with specific elements that I wanted included, and made sure I was completely comfortable during my session.The shop is cray cray adorbs BTW! Love the private setup and I even snapped some decorative inspiration from their sanctuary 😜.Cant wait to get on their books this summer.

I got my first tattoo from Corinne and it was amazing. Me and my mom got matching owl tattoos and it turned out beautiful. She captured our idea perfectly. I was a little worried about how the color would come out since I have darker skin compared to my mom but it came out great. Overall great experience and thanks again Corinne.

I have many tattoos but I just got my first one from Corrine Reinhart. I gave her my idea and absolutely love how she embraced my idea and created a fantastic tat. She not only has a great vision and excellent hands, she really understands placement for the best effect. I absolutely love her work and I am already working on my next idea.Everyone in the shop was super nice and made me feel welcome. I will definitely be going back for more work.

I submitted my idea to one of the artists. She loved it but couldnt fit me in. She then told me that Brad liked my idea and wanted to do it. I was ecstatic. When my appointment came up, the drawing he showed me was not at all what I asked for. I was disappointed and nervous. I showed him more examples and he went back to work. Eventually he gave in and just copied one of my reference photos and added the flowers to it (which were fine). Since Im an artists myself, I gave him my two cents and asked him to change these tiny details. I was happy with the sketch then. He got to work tattooing and was done WITHIN AN HOUR. That should tell you how it went... Once it was healed, I could see all the mistakes, the wobbly lines, the details I asked to change gone. Some lines werent inked enough; it was sloppy and rushed. To top it off, a huge blowout in the middle of the tiger. Still ended up paying $300 for it, too. I was devastated. I hate this tattoo so much and wish I never agreed to the artist. I wanted a tattoo artist that could take my idea and create something really cool. Brad didnt and couldnt do that. He wanted to do my idea but didnt take the time to really appreciate it and make something original. Whats the point of scheduling months ahead to then start the design the day of? Its been months later and I still feel upset enough to write this review. I wasnt going to, but Im tired of feeling like I was robbed. Dont agree to get tattooed here unless you AND the artist are 100% dedicated to the design. He hated it, too, and I could tell.

I am extremely satisfied with this establishment. The place was bright and clean and the staff and artist were nice. Brad already had a design ready for me to review when I got there and it was better that what I had envisioned. He worked quickly and confidently and checked his work carefully the entire time. The entire process only took about an hour.I also like the block scheduling so its easy to know when you have to submit an application for specific dates.I will definitely be returning for the other arm! Thank you very much!

I am incredibly happy with my tattoo. I was a little worried with not having a design before coming in, but Angelina did a fantastic job and I immediately loved how she visualized my idea. I will absolutely come back for many future pieces!

Me and my fiance went in for our first tattoos during a flash event and spent $75 each for gorgeous works. What I loved the most was that these were original designs by different artists that were drastically different from the other. And they refused to copy! Once they had done one of the flashes (I got an adorable axolotl) they would not tattoo that design on another person. After our first amazing experience, we decided to book another appointment. Brad was so nice and patient with me while doing my moms memorial tattoo. He took her note from a birthday card and added some free hand watercolor behind it. It looks like my late mother took a pen and wrote on my arm! This shop is so clean and friendly. Cannot recommend enough! The angle the picture was taken does not do it justice btw. Its gorgeous

I traveled from Missouri to Virginia to visit this place due to admiring one of their artists work for a long time, Emily does amazing work and provides an excellent atmosphere for her clients along with being patient snd accommodating.

Most amazing watercolor artist (Brad) we’ve ever seen. Brad has a great sense of humor and a tremendous knowledge of water colors. Probably the best on the East Coast. We drove from another state to have him do the work. Highly recommend!

The staff are professional & friendly, and they do phenomenal work. The new studio is also really nice.

Words cannot express how very impressed I am with this shop and the artists there. From simple designs, to water color, to cover ups…they have taken my visions and made them into fantastic artwork. Corinne and Angelina are both amazing artists and so helpful! This place is incredible. Ive been wanting to get in for a tattoo since it opened a few years back. Brad had done my previous tattoo. He has incredible techniques, and all the artists in this place are super friendly and talented. Looking to hopefully book another appointment soon when the books open up! They did a great job on my first tattoo. Angelina answered all my questions and had a lot of really good suggestions. Nice bright atmosphere, an eclectic mix of music, which was highly entertaining, and really nice folks. Im already scheduled for another!

One of the best in the area! Walk ins almost every Friday and everyone in the shop is super friendly, professional, clean and talented! Both my husband and I have 5 tattoos each from them and dont plan on going anywhere else!

I was tattooed by Angelina. I want to say that my experience was okay. Three out of the four tattoo parts were decent, but this fern… I stopped her before she got to this part of the tattoo and mentioned that the detail didn’t match what I wanted/the other tattoos. I showed her more of what I was thinking and she told me that it wouldn’t last and argued with all of my ideas. She threw some wobbly lines through the center of the ferns to add detail. I should have asked her to just not do the fern because I really am not happy with it. Angelina, if you’re reading this, I hope you take your clients more seriously, be ready to wipe away the stencil and work with your client. I realize you only have a couple years of experience, but being willing to wipe away a stencil would be a huge pro in my opinion. The pic with the monstera was the picture I sent in as inspiration, the fern is what I got.

Called this place to see if they did piercings. This location does not. The person I spoke to was very nice and I had went elsewhere to get my services.Update: I got my tattoo done after waiting 4 months. I really appreciate the communication between the artist Evan. Since ALL Inquiries are strictly online because of COVID-19. I was a bit concerned with the pricing and the design of the tattoo. I had not seen the final product until my appointment. This location is very clean and my chair was very comfortable. I had laid down when I got the tattoo. Felt like I was gonna go to sleep. Very pleased with the work! Definitely recommend.

Brad is some kind of Ink and Skin Wizard. His work is beyond beautiful. The shop is clean, the staff is nice, and the artists are talented. Definitely not your stereotypical tattoo joint, and I mean that in the best way possible. You will need to wait for an appointment, and it is worth the wait.

I had been putting off getting my dear little girl for years as I wanted it to look perfect. Went to Human Canvas for my last one and was impressed all around. When I looked at Amandas work I knew she was the one to do my new one. She did such a fantastic job - exactly how I wanted it to come out. If u r looking for some new ink go see Human Canvas- everyone is fantastic and the work is wonderful.

My wife has been waiting for more than a decade to start what will become a sleeve for her lower leg, as she wanted just the right style of ink and just the right artist and shop to help her. Emily and the crew at Human Canvas were those folks. They worked together to come up with a design and had us out of there with a completed tattoo in no time. The shop is clean and friendly, the folks there are great, and the ink is world class.

The best tattoo shop Ive experienced and Ive been getting tatted over 15 years. Brad and his team are professional and do superior work. If water color is your jam theres definitely not a better place!

I had done some research for an artist who can do a galaxy or cosmic tattoo. I found Corinne’s work and messaged her to see if she’d be available and willing to work with me. I came all the way from Michigan and Corinne understood exactly what I wanted and the tattoo turned out better than I imagined! I have other tattoos all done by the same artist and Corinne was only the second tattoo artist I’ve worked with but I’m very glad i did. I got the tattoo on my ribs which is known to be a sensitive area to tattoo but I felt like she had a very gentle touch and it didn’t hurt nearly as bad as I thought it would. The shop was very clean and staff were friendly. I would HIGHLY recommend this shop and Corinne!

Perfect place for those who want ink but dont want to feel like they are in a tattoo studio. The business is clean and bright and everyone who works there is friendly and helpful. Absolutely love Brads work and cant wait for my next piece.

While on vacation my mother and I got matching tattoos. We drove around for an entire day from one shop to another. This was our last stop. Corinne took the time to look at a few pics and quote us.. price was good and her vibe was good. We made appointments for a few days later. Her work was amazing and she was able to give us exactly what we asked for.

Brad covered up a large tattoo on my back with a beautiful new piece. He was very professional, fair, and the studio is incredibly clean. Great experience, definitely worth the trip from Richmond!

Amanda did great! I sat for five hours and she didnt miss a beat. She doesnt have a heavy hand at all which was very nice. The whole staff was very professional and didnt make any rude comments like you will hear in many other shops. Go see Amanda for your next tattoo she is up and coming!

Ive been seeking an artist to portray a portrait image. I searched around and Amanda at Human Canvass really did a wonderful job. I love how it came out and my wife an daughter absolutely love my new tattoo. Got my 5th tattoo here with Evan who had done 3 smaller ones for me back before all the COVID craziness. Absolutely love the work he does and how reasonably priced they are. I got a memorial tattoo for my grandfather and I had told Evan what I was looking for and he ran with the idea. He went above and beyond my expectations and created a beautiful piece of art I am proud to show off!

I went in search of a local tattoo location. Block Monster Tattoo was convenient for me without the hassle of downtown Fburg parking.I stopped in on Saturday to talk to someone about my design and went back on Sunday for the ink work. I was impressed and very satisfied with the finished work. Thank you Brad! This is a place that I would recommend to my friends and I have been since I walked out on Sunday.Place is CLEAN, friendly staff who answered any and all questions that I tossed at them. The rates/cost is very reasonable. I will be going back for the other work that I have in mind.

I love Human Canvas! All of the artists are extreamly talented and very friendly! The shop is spotless and has a bright, open feeling to it.All of my experiences here have been wonderful. 10/10 would recommend.

I reached out quite a while ago about wanting to set up a consultation for a full arm space themed sleeve. Was told to email as it would be the best way to coordinate and make the consultation work. From that email, no response. I waited. Couldnt say how long Ive been waiting but its definitely been months. Which is sucks because Im beyond blown away by this shops use of color. Never seen anything like it locally. Going three stars because I cannot rate work Ive never received, but can rate being asked to email and receiving no response. If I get an appointment, Ill update this review.

What an amazing experience! Angelina was super talented and very calming which made the 2 hour session fly by! My piece turned out just like I wanted!

I just had my first tattoo - the Simba cave painting from The Lion King - done by Brad, and I love it. He was precise, made sure I was okay throughout the whole process, and just a really nice dude. He also let me watch him open the new needle from its individual pack, as well as put on fresh gloves many times as to ensure the overall cleanliness/sanitation of the process.My piece of advice for people wanting tattoos (in general) - know exactly what you want before going in. Dont just have a vague idea in mind, know exactly how you want it and where. If its a custom piece, draw it up /yourself/ or have an artist friend do it BEFORE going in to have your tattoo artist try to see what you have in mind. Because they dont know whats all in your head, and you probably cant convey it all properly unless you have a reference FIRST.A permanent piece of art on your body is not something you should plan half-assed, because then youll end up spending more money getting it redone because you werent exactly sure what you wanted. Think on it for a few months at least, have all of your own references ready, then make the appointment, and they will help you out the best they can.Tl;dr?Basically, heres some advice: know exactly what you want BEFORE GOING IN. Have your own references, especially its a custom piece, so the artists dont have to guess what you want.Overall about the parlor - Brad did an amazing and thorough job, all of the staff were friendly and easy-going, and it was very clean. Ill definitely be going back to Brad for my next tattoo(s).

Amazing work done here by all the different artists. This shop is always very clean, if you have not ever seen it in person I’d suggest to stop by and check it out and you will be sold on getting work done here not only because of how clean it is but the amazing work done by all. I’d suggest if you want a good quality tattoo this is the best place around to go.

Best tattoo shop in town. Ive had work done from all of the artists here (minus the newer crew). They have never steered me wrong. You will not be disappointed with the work and the level of passion from those that work here.

I went in with something in mind and Brad only pulled things off the computer instead drawing something up. That should have been my first sign that this was not who I should have do my tattoo. He ended up showing me something similar to what I wanted and it came out looking like something my 6 year old niece could draw up. . He didnt do any detail at all and charged way to much. Now Im stuck having to get ít redone.

Everything about this dish was amazing. I had the Stuffed Caprese Chicken. It was perfectly crispy and the pasta/ all the flavors went well together. Staff was also great and friendly.

Called. Was told to email with what I wanted and would hear back from someone. Emailed them, waited 4 days... reached back out and said I needed to give them a few days to respond... it’s been 3 weeks now and I’ve reached out... but now I can’t get a response. Assuming what I wanted isn’t worth their time.
