Pizzazz didnt feel like a shop, it felt like a whole tattoo spa experience. Its aesthetically pleasing and I was immediately treated like family. This is my 4th piece of art by Madelyn Shively and she is truly a tattoo goddess. I cant say enough about Pizzazz except its an experience you should treat yourself to if you want the best work at the best price. And let me not forget the added treat....a goody bag 😊

This is the nicest, most welcoming place to get your piercings done! The owners are so friendly and able to answer any and all questions. I got my nostril and ears done for a great price, and i’ll definitely be coming back in the future!

I dont recommend coming here. They were both super sweet initially for the years I had been going, hence why I became a very loyal customer and only ever got pierced by them. Kimberly completely switched up on me the second something went wrong and I called her on it. I got both of my nostrils pierced and experienced some trouble with sinking due to the jewelry being far too small for a fresh piercing (not for any other reason). She suggested I needed bigger jewelry over text and confirmed in person that the correction would be free of charge. Once it came time to do the jewelry exchange, suddenly she insisted the lowest she could go was 50% off and would not budge. I tried explaining that had I been informed this could happen if the jewelry was too small from the beginning, I would not have picked out the jewelry SHE pointed out. She then started redirecting blame for the complication onto my cleaning practices despite me not being new to piercings and having had 9 before this point, and that not being even mentioned as a part of the problem before that exact moment. They were about to close and I needed the issue resolved so I paid the money in the moment and then addressed it over text the next day. I respectfully explained in detail how I felt wronged and that the situation was very unfair to me in a time where I really did not have money to spare (I had only gone to them at that time because they were having a piercing sale). After years of rapport and very sweet messages back and forth, suddenly she was incredibly cold and short. She told me I could get my refund and was just as short when I picked up my cash. I was super disappointed because I love to support family-owned at any opportunity and thought we had a decent relationship, but I dont do fake and she completely switched up despite being the one in the wrong.(Editing to address the response I received):I WAS NOT SWOLLEN I DID NOT EXPERIENCE SWELLING. And you knew that because I told you more than once. Longer bar = fix for swelling. My issue was that the jewelry was microscopic and any pressure towards my face caused it to sink into the freshly pierced hole. YOU suggested I needed larger jewelry over text and YOU assured me it would be free when I came in person. Why on gods green earth would I only correct one piercing knowing the danger the second one could be in? So yes I asked for both tiny pieces of jewelry that YOU suggested I get to be replaced free of charge.Also you did not say cleaning multiple times a day causes swelling. You said H2Ocean and antibacterial wound wash cause swelling (a blatant lie) and said I should only use soap and water to address the swelling I was not experiencing. But lets say you were just *going down your checklist*, why did that not happen at any point (over text or in person) before it was time to pay?Finally, your text was cold and one sentence and in person you didnt address me until it was to ask me Is cash okay?. Say what you will, but youve lost me and anyone who knows me as a customer.

This place is absolutely AMAZING! Service was most definitely A+ and top of the line! These two beautiful souls were everything! I came in just randomly to get a nose piercing and the owner’s wife was very kind and walked me through the entire process. She even helped me pick out the perfect size nose ring. Her entire vibe and spirit was so warm. Not to mention Uncle Bob was right on point and made it a pleasant experience for me.. Ive been wanting to get my ears re-pierced but felt a bit intimidated. Kimberly and Bob are amazing! They are so friendly, helpful and professional. I felt instantly at ease and knew I had come to the right place. Ill definitely be back. Thanks for a great experience!

Brought my daughter for a navel piercing after experiencing first hand their amazing hospitality and professionalism with my oldest for another piercing. They treated us like family, we’re very friendly, but also professional and very knowledgeable. They made me and my daughter a lot more comfortable. Answered tons of questions and walked us through the cleaning and healing process. They also gave us their personal number to call/text for any questions. I have no problem recommending them to anyone and will be back in the future!

Got my piercings done and it was practically painless besides a little sting for the nostril. The thing I would like to say is that THEY ARE WELCOMING AND FRIENDLY which is supposed to be apart of their service! I had to get my nose piercing redone as the other one was mean and terrible. This place was the opposite of the other place!

The owners and staff at this establishment are phenomenal! I adore you all! So professional yet friendly and fun. You feel like family in this family owned establishment. Tommy was my tattoo artist and he truly is an artist! Such meticulous lines and work performed. I will be back to add more and I look forward to my next experience! Cannot say enough amazing things about this place! I called the shop asking about getting an upper lobe and cartilage piercing. She answered all my questions and then told me to come right in since they take walk-ins. I came in later that day and she was incredibly kind and personable. We talked while I filled out the paper work and she told me about her business. It’s run by her and her husband who does the piercings.She helped me pick out jewelry since I have curly hair and was scared of it wrapping around the piercing. Afterwards, her husband brought me back and we got started. He made me feel so comfortable and we talked the whole time. The piercing was relatively painless and they told me how to take care of it. They also gave me a cell number just in case anything went wrong!I’ll be going back for all my other piercing and tattoos!

Great group of artists here! Stretch is currently doing my back piece and his artistry and use of color is fire!! Today put us at about 29 hrs down...... Still got a few more to go to complete it but wow!

Highly disappointed. they were very nice people but the way this has been handled or lack thereof, is frustrating to say the least. my tattoo looked great for the first week of getting it then it went completely down hill from there.i haven’t received an email back or a phone call back.

LOVED this place!! I came in to find a new septum ring & the owner was so kind!! She helped me pick out one that would fit, look good, & be comfortable. The whole vibe was wonderful & I always love a clean, comfortable setting. Cannot recommend this hidden gem enough!!

I went in today to get a tattoo done by the artist Tomi. He did an absolutely amazing job! Amazing line work. Walking in this place, it just had very happy and good vibe. I will definitely be returning and recommending my friends to come here. Also I gotta say that this store was extremely clean, and organized. The store owner Kimberly was so sweet but professional at the same time. I will 10/10 recommend this place to anyone!

Today I was lucky enough to have Stretch as tattoo artist and I tell you, I am done with all others!! He is AMAZING!!! both in talent and in personality. My daughters and I were looking for someone to create a family tattoo for us and he listened, created and gave us each EXACTLY what we wanted! His banter was friendly and he took the time to get it right. We have now found the artist for all of our future artwork. THANK YOU STRETCH!!

Would do 10 stars if possible.got my ears repierced and uncle bob is AMAZING!!he was able to taper my ears instead of just pushing a needle through. will be coming back when i decide to get more!! i highly recommend! very warm and inviting environment and they also explain in really good detail on after cleaning!

Kimberly and Bob are amazing! We walked in on a busy Saturday night and were greeted so well. Kimberly was friendly, personable, and informed me of the after care for the piercings right away. She really made me feel comfortable and relaxed. Getting a tattoo or a piercing from a new place can be nerve wracking but coming across someone so nice and sweet makes the whole experience so much better. Bob was amazing, you can tell he truly is a master at his craft. Not only was he fast, the pain was minimal and we were in and out. The prices are amazing, and they don’t try to upsell you anything. They run a great establishment here and I’ll definitely be back. They even stayed open late for us and other walk ins. Thank you for all that you do!

It was so welcoming and everyone was so nice and funny the piercing was extreamly painless. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

I cant recommend for infant ear piercings. My babys ears were pierced unevenly, even after I asked the piercer if we should redraw the marks prior to piercing. She had 3 dots on one ear and one large line down the other. Infants are squirmy, but all the more reason to ensure you get an even mark before starting. He insisted he knew exactly where to pierce and so we trusted the professional. I ran out of there afterwards because my baby was in tears and we were there much longer than anticipated, so I didnt get a good look at them until the next day.We were offered a refund if we returned and to have it removed and redone, but frankly its a painful experience and I wont put her through it again and especially not there. I dont care about the money, just very disappointed I put my baby through that experience for it to not be done properly.If you decide to get pierced there, highly suggest making an appt if they offer that. We were told our wait was about 30 min and ended up waiting 2 hours.

I went to Pizzazz as a walk-in for my first tattoo which I was both really excited and very scared to get. Kimberly helped me feel right at home, helped ease my anxiety, and was able to work me in with Stretch even though they were pretty busy that day.Stretch was very patient and kind, and did an excellent job on my first piece. Since then Ive also had a tattoo by Tomi, and Madelynn as well. They all do great work.Ive also had a few different ear piercings done by Uncle Bob and have been very pleased.Everyone there is great and does great work!

This place is amazing. The people give such a warm welcome and go above and beyond for their customers. I was a walk in for a belly piercing and I didn’t know how to take care of it properly and they were all very very helpful and gave me all the info I needed. This place makes you feel like family. 100% recommend😊

Service was amazing!! Walked in and was immediately greeted by Kim. I knew I wanted a couple different things and she was very knowledgeable about everything and could point me in the direction I needed. Bob was great with care and making the environment very relaxing.I knew I was in good hands the minute I walked in the vibe of the whole place was amazing. Great experience and very friendly folks! I got my rook (ear) pierced there yesterday, and while it hurt a LOT getting pierced, the pain only lasted for a second before Bob numbed the area and sent me home with great aftercare instructions and a beautiful piercing. Today, Im experiencing almost no pain, only a little tender if I touch the area near the piercing. Very happy and would recommend! ✨👂🏻✨

I got my vertical labret pierced here August 16th. It is a very clean and comfortable environment with very nice employees. My piercing healed up extremely nice and my over all experience was very good! The prices were also very reasonable for each piercing. This place is also run by a kind couple who are very easy people to talk to! If I was residing in Florida I would for sure come back!! Thank you for a great experience!!

I am such an anxious person when it comes to needles and they made me feel so comfortable and at home. They were so nice, encouraging, and understanding! Bob was so quick and skills my double cartilage piercing barely hurt at all and was over and numbed before I could even think about it! I highly recommend them - especially to anyone with needle anxiety!

I love these guys so much everyone is so professional and skilled in their craft. All my pierings from here have perfect placement and heal beautifully, and theyre so helpful with any questions you may have as you can literally send them a text any time and they will answer. They often run promotions and are just so awesome and make you feel like family. Ive been to many piercing shops and this is definitely the best and where i will exclusively bring my business for as long as they are here.

I had both sides of my nose pierced here + my nipples. They healed beautifully! I’ve went to previous piercers who have done horrible jobs, but Pizzazz is the best! They have a lovely jewelry selection and even let me get hoops with my first nose piercing! I’ve had issues removing the jewelry at times and they were so kind to assist me! Friendly staff who make you feel at home is truly the key to being the best shop and that’s them! The shop is clean and the procedures are quick, sanitary and not scary at all! Definitely more than 5 stars!!!!

Amazing piercings and tattoos, this business is run by an amazing married couple. The husband does piercings and the super nice, great to talk to wife does tattoos. Not only did the man have a super sweet and awesome wife, but he had a super cool Boston accent and went out of his way to make me as comfortable as possible and assure me. Pizzazz Piercing and Tattoo is the best place around Gainesville for tattoos! Kimberly, the front desk receptionist, is a truly wonderful person whos beautiful personality is so kind and welcoming. The shop itself is gorgeous and has a very relaxing and chill atmosphere. I cant say enough good things about my experience there, and I especially want to shout out Stretch who gave me my tattoo; he did such a great job, the tattoo looks amazing and he is just the coolest person to talk to. Ill definitely be going back for more tattoos and piercings in the near future!

Been to this shop a couple of times now and let me say, the shop runners are all super nice, inviting, and overall great! Each time I got multiple piercings in different locations and they turned out REALLY well. Good, simple healing process without any snakeoil quick heal tactics. Plus, they are probably the most reasonably priced shop in gville. Their jewelry may not be the most high end, jewel studded pieces, but if you’re looking for a good piercing job that isn’t much of an issue.

My daughter and I got piercings today from Bob. I got a septum and my daughter got her nose done. We both had excellent experiences. The service was fast, clean, and comfortable. Front of house and back of house were awesome folks. Their prices are great and we had a big selection of jewelry to choose from. We’ll definitely be back for more. Thank you guys. ❤️

ONE OF THE CLEANEST AND FRIENDLIEST SHOPS I’VE EVER BEEN TO. They are so friendly and really know the ins and outs of piercings. You will not feel rushed when picking jewelry which is so important. Kimberly is always available and responds incredibly fast with answers. If they keep up the good work, I will go broke. I couldn’t recommend a better shop. Trust me!

Bob and Kimberly are amazing and so nice! They treat everyone as family. When I first walked into the shop everything was so clean and smelled amazing. You could tell that they keep their shop clean and sterilized.Bob has re done my ears, nose, and changed out my tongue jewelry. Everything he used was sterilized! We joked about the piercings and even explained how my nose and ear holes from former piercings were done at an angle which is why I was having such a hard time with trying to but ear rings in or nose ring. He then asked if it was okay for him to just Pierce it close to the whole but make it a new whole done properly. I agreed as it would be easier for both of us. Glad I did too. I can easily put the rings in without searching for the hole.When looking for a nose ring i didnt want a basic stud 🤮🤢 Kimberly gave me beautiful options and said that I could use a hoop. My heart exploded I always wanted a hoop for my nose and that’s what I did. The healing process went amazing and healed up a lot quicker that I had thought.They also recommended not to use the saline spray cans (as other shops recommend) the first time I got piercings I had used it from the shop that recommended it and ended up with a nasty infection…. Kimberly and Bob simply stated to clean it like normal with just water and that’s what I did! I had 0 issues!!!!This is the only place I will go for piercings and will be the only place when I get a tattoo as they treat everyone as family and you can have amazing conversations with them.

Genuinely the sweetest people I have had the pleasure of going to for a piercing. My friend and I immediately felt welcomed and it was easy to make conversation with everyone. Our piercings were a breeze because they are kind enough to numb the piercings. They care about your piercing experience and let you contact them at any time for any questions or concerns of your piercings. Of all the piercings locations I have been to in Gainesville, I wish I went to here first.

I just got a tattoo done here by Tomi and I have to say it was an amazing experience. I had an appointment and did get started quite a bit after but I spoke with the owner (Kimberly) almost the entire time I was waiting. She was so kind and welcoming; time truly flew by. This was also my first ever tattoo, so she took the time to stay a little after closing and sit with me during the beginning of the tattoo to ease the anxiety. She really went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and she wasn’t even the one working on me! Regarding the tattoo artist; Tomi’s line work is absolutely jaw-dropping. I got an anatomical heart that was composed of very fine lines and somehow he mastered every single one! Tomi has a very inviting persona and made me feel quite at ease, even whilst getting the painful tattoo. I have to say, this shop is doing things right and I will 100% be coming back, whether it be for a piercing or another tattoo.

This place is the best! I always mean to write a review but tend to be quite forgetful haha. They’ve done all of my piercings since I have been in gainesville, including conch, nipples, eyebrow, snake bites, and probably more that I can’t remember lol. Kimberly and Bob are so kindhearted and always make me and my best friend feel like family when we come in. Kimberly is always available by text for any concerns regarding the piercing and readily offers solutions to any problems that may come up! I truly have never had a better experience than at pizzazz. I got my septum piercing done as a walk-in here. The studio was very clean and well managed. The person working at the counter was very informative and helpful about the different jewelry types and aftercare instruction. The piercer was highly skilled, professional and friendly - I felt like I was in good hands the entire visit and it was over in seconds. If I decide to get more done in the future I will definitely come back here. :)

I came to get a septum piercing -- my first face piercing ever. i was pretty nervous but the people at the front desk were very sweet, friendly, and informative, and i felt at ease immediately. Bob was my piercer and he did great, it was quick with barely any pain. im a couple days into healing now and its going very smoothly, not even sore. cant recommend or thank this place enough!

Shop is extremely clean!! Bob and Kimberly are amazing and very thorough when explaining not only the piercing process but the aftercare instructions as well. They give a card too with all the info and their phone numbers! My son, daughter and I got our noses pierced. My fiance got his bottom lip done in all 3 spots!

I have six piercings and I won’t go anywhere else for a piercing! They make it as painless as possible. I also have two tattoos from them. The lower sleeve on my right arm is my pride and joy! I can’t thank the owners enough for all they do!!!! Unfortunately the second tattoo I ruined in a fall but it was beautiful before I messed it up.

Amazing place and very reasonably priced! I came here with my sister to get our first ear piercings together and it was a great experience. Amber helped us check in and also gave us aftercare information. We will definitely be returning to this place for any other piercings.

Loved my experience here. Bob was great throughout my ear piercings. Two lobes and a helix, he made it quick and easy. They are healing great for me. No swelling or excessive discomfort. Me and my friend recently came and got some piercings done here. They front desk ladies are super friendly, informative, and personable. They make you feel like you have known them for awhile and not just walked in the door for the first time. I got my tongue web pierced and my roommate got her naval. The piercer was quick and efficient and neither of us felt the pain much. I love that the jewelry was included in the price which was reasonable and they had a cute selection you could choose from. Definitely will be coming back here for future piercings, both me and my friend agreed that our piercings didnt even hurt in the immediate days following and they both seem to be healing perfectly. Will follow up if any issues arise but the front desk ladies offer their personal numbers for you to text if you have any concerns or questions which Ive never had any other piercing studio do. 10/10 experience go here!

First time getting a facial piercing done and it was amazing, Ill definitely come back in the future. The shop owners were a joy to talk to and they were super helpful and cooperative when it came to questions and such. The piercing selection was pretty good. The shop had a very nice atmosphere filled with wonderful people. And from my experience, the shop was very tidy, clean, and vibrant. I ONLY go to this place for piercings in Gainesville. They really make you feel like you’re a part of the family, and if anything comes up with your piercing down the line they will always answer your questions. I’ve had 3 piercings here—ear lobe, septum, and nostril—and they’ve all healed beautifully. I‘ve brought all my friends to this shop and now they all only come here too!

This place is awesome. The front staff was very knowledgeable and the piercer was really nice which made me super comfortable. I got a second ear piercing and nostril piercing from them and they look amazing. The jewelry is comfortable and is causing no irritation. 100% recommend this place if you want any piercings! Bob did my nose piercing less than a week ago and it feels great. I never had any swelling or prolonged discomfort afterwards. Aftercare was explained to me perfectly and I feel that it is healing better than any of my other piercings have so far. Very clean shop. The receptionist and Kimberly were awesome as well with helping pick the size for my jewelry. Will definitely go back for another piercing or even a tattoo again.

If I could give this place 6 stars I would. They were so welcoming and kind. Before even getting the piercing, I was given all the aftercare instructions and a number I could contact at any time if I had questions. The piercing process itself was super quick. Got my rook pierced a few days ago with some friends and it was the least painful piercing I’ve ever experienced! I was worried about the pain and Bob said “it’s not about the piercing, it’s about the piercer”. They really make you feel at home the second you walk in the door and are available for aftercare help/questions anytime you need them. The hospitality Kimberly and Bob show to every one of their customers is so heartwarming and appreciated. The piercing feels and looks great even the day after! Amazing experience. Got two daith piercings. Husband and wife shop and they really care about the customers. They are super friendly and give everyone their number. They make sure to keep constant tabs after the piercing to ensure everything is going well. They also made it pretty clear that if something is wrong, they’re more than happy to help fix it. Amazing place! I was super nervous about my piercings but Kimberly and Bob were so friendly that my nerves flattened out. Kim even reached out to me after I left the shop to check and make sure everything was healing properly. Unfortunately, one of my piercings became irritated and was causing me a lot of trouble. These are super nice people. I didnt get anything pierced, but I did have my original ear piercings stretched enough so I could wear earrings again. Mr. Pike was kind and professional, and it only hurt a little. Everything was really clean, and I didnt worry about contracting something awful. The price was reasonable as well. If I wanted ink or other piercings, this would be the first place I would go. I recommend them highly and unconditionally.

I went to this shop a while ago, so I really hope theyve improved, this is just my experience that I wanted to share.I went it to get a nose piercing, they didnt have any L posts and recommended a screw post. I vocalized my concerns about it getting stuck in my septum, they reassured me it would be fine. The piercing was done to my satisfaction and I went home, the next day the piercing got stuck in my septum and ripped through the hole. I went back in to tell them what happened, they recommend a different type of post, I still had to pay for it even though they gave me the wrong type of jewelry in the first place.At that time I wanted both my nostrils pierced and since I was already there I chalked everything up to a one time error and decided to get the other side done. The piercer marked the spot and showed me, it was crooked. I told him it was crooked, he reassured me that it wasnt and it was just the jewelry?? on the other side. I asked him to re mark it and he said it was fine. Surprise, surprise, it ended up being crooked. The piercer also commented that he did not like girls who get their nostrils and septum done because it reminded him of Mickey mouse if they wore hoops. I understand personal preference, but this was the exact piercing I was getting.This place is fine if you want something simple, but I really wouldnt go here if you want something more complex, in an intimate area, or anything on the face.My first piercing ended up getting a keloid because of the trauma, this was an easily avoidable mistake that I raised concerns about initially and was brushed off.

THE ONLY PLACE I WILL EVER GO!The energy of this place is immaculate. I’ve never felt so at home and comfortable in a shop before! Not only is the service amazing, but the jewelry selection is top tier. Even if the shop is busy, Kimberly, Amber and Bob make sure all of your questions are answered and you are taken care of. They even wrote our name on a list and called us later that day so that we didn’t have to just wait in the shop AND they worked hours past closing to make sure we were all given an opportunity to be pierced. I have watched this shop grow since they opened and I feel very lucky to have done that. I can’t recommend this place enough.

I was excited to talk to Kim, the woman at the front desk. Their cleaning methods I dont agree with but shes personable and nice. The issue lies in that I asked for a curved barbell and received a straight one. I have 17 piercings, so having my best interest decided by a stranger does not sit well with me. Now the piercing is so swollen I cannot even remove the barbell, which is too short for this piercing. Its unfortunate a lot of people will come here without the experience I have and think this quality is the standard. Very disappointed in this jewelry selection that was appointed for me.

Ive been to Pizzazz for both a tattoo and a piercing, and both times theyve been amazing. Everyone is friendly. The tattooist, Kenny, designed the perfect tattoo for me after I came in with a vague idea of what I wanted. I was blown away by his skills as both an artist and a tattooist. The piercer, Bob, impressed me with his kindness and professionalism. I definitely recommend them both.

Went earlier this evening to get my septum pierced, which was my first major peircing, Kimberly was so sweet, bob was really gentle and walked me through everything. Talking to Kim up front made me feel a little less nervous and made it feel like i was amongst friends. I will most definitely be coming back for any more peircings or tattoos i decide to get!

I have been going to this shop for the past 3 years now and have 7 piercings done by Bob (the piercer on staff) and since the first piercing i have never gone anywhere else. Bob, Kim, and Amber are extremely helpful, always friendly and willing to accommodate in any way possible. i tend to swell badly and Kim has personally reached out to check on me and make sure i’m healing up well and i have never encountered a problem that the pizzaz piercing team wasn’t willing to help solve. i now live an hour and a half away and this is still the ONLY shop that i will go to for any piercings i currently have or will ever get. Bob is very attentive when your in the chair and has listened to any concern or question ive had and given an open and honest answer. in all honesty this shop treats you like family no matter who you are and if you’re on the fence trying to decide where to go for a piercing just go inside this shop and spend a few minutes talking to the staff and it’s immediately comforting. thank you pizzaz family, i’m sure you’ll see me soon :)
