I had the privilege to spend some time with John, and I was completely blown away by being in his shop. I felt like I was in a very upscale fine jewelry store. The kind that is by appointment only. Awesome experience! Today was my first visit to Fern piercing and it went smoothly. I was looking for a piercing shop, because I’ve heard you have a better experience than with a piercer in a tattoo shop, which is what I have always done. I read all the great reviews and love his handmade jewelry, so I booked an appointment. The environment is so welcoming as soon as you walk in, I didn’t feel anxious like I do in a lot of new places, and spotless clean. I talked to Jon about the two piercings I wanted and about a problem piercing I already have from a different piercer. He helped me pick out jewelry, it’s all gorgeous, and then went to get everything ready for the actual piercings. The piercing process went flawlessly and I will definitely be returning for more piercings and new jewelry!

I had such an amazing experience with Jon today. I booked online for a nostril piercing. When I got there, I was excited by the great selection of labrets, everything from diamond studs to intricate artisan pieces. I immediately fell in love with one, and it was very reasonably priced. The process of piercing was quick and easy.Ill definitely be back and will be referring all my friends!

As someone who has been to at least 4 other piercers, I can say John is the man. The atmosphere is calm and welcoming. He is patient and is happy to answer any questions before, during, and after the process.Even though I have other piercings, I was scared to get my tongue pierced. He reassured me that he would walk me through the whole thing. It was as painless as a piercing can be and so fast! Just here to leave a 5-star review. I called John after finding his business on google and reading the great reviews. I had a nose bone stud that I had difficulty removing and injured myself during the process. John was super nice, calming and understanding about my urgency and even told me to come in that day even though his schedule was almost full. He was able to get the stud back in, gave me some simple to follow instructions and the piercing was no longer angry after just two days, which is not how it usually goes for me.After some more healing time, I look forward to purchasing a stud custom crafted by him that will be easier for me to remove.The shop is super clean and I love the gallery of his beautiful pieces. We will always go to John from here on out.

Can’t say enough good things about my experience at this beautiful studio. It has a calming vibe and stunning jewelry! Jon was patient and kind. Great Experience!!!The Handcrafted jewelry is remarkable.I received double nose piercings this weekend. I showed up as a walk-in. Jon had several appointments scheduled but decided to squeeze me in. While I waited I explored, the location is adorable. He is so awesome. He actively listened to my wants and needs. Then explained to me what I should expect. He was very patient making sure I like the piercing positions. I’ll be honest I’m a stickler on cleanliness. The shop gets a A+, it’s extremely clean. He has beautiful art work on display. I went to Fern Piercing with a friend who had booked an appointment to get her septum pierced. I asked Jon multiple questions about getting my nose pierced & what jewelry options I would have. Jon is truly talented. He is incredibly knowledgeable and patient. His craftsmanship in his helpers is also impressive. Getting pierced at Fern is an aesthetic journey. The front of the shop. Evokes nature in its most tranquil state as you are transported by the light scent of cedar as you browse jewelry hand made in the shop itself. Jon provides guidance from a place of knowledge and kindness throughout the experience. He asks for consent and explains each step of the process with a clarity that someone new to piercing can understand. There is a distinct lack of judgment and condescention in this shop. You will leave wishing the adventure might ave lasted just a bit longer eager to make a new appointment. Fortunately, with an online scheduling option nothing could be easier.

I got my nose pierced over a year ago with Jon and have been back in to have jewelry switched out a couple of times. He has always been so kind and patient. I came in just to get my helix jewelry changed because I had it for a year and it was still bothering me, but as soon as I got it changed with the new jewelry it hasn’t bothered me once. I really appreciated how clean everything was. The interaction was awesome, super inviting, as well as always making me aware when something was going to happen and asking if it was okay. Definitely recommend!

I recently got a double helix pierced in my left ear; Jon is an incredible piercer. Hes friendly, knowledgeable, and skilled at not only piercing but also at crafting incredible, beautiful jewelry. He was very conscientious about making sure I felt comfortable and safe throughout the process and was very careful to make sure the placement of the piercings would suit my ear. I drove 76 minutes round trip just to have Jon do my piercings and it was worth every minute! I asked Jon to create a custom piece to be placed at my downsizing and he created a beautiful, well-made earring. He was just as professional at the downsizing appointment. Hes also been incredibly patient with my follow-up questions. I 100% recommend Jon to anyone.

From the time my wife and I walked in we felt welcomed! The whole team in the shop is super friendly and nice. Jon did an amazing job with our piercings. Got my first piece of ear jewelry after following the Instagram and loving what I saw. I got a small gold hoop with a twist design that looks like exactly what a fairy would wear in her ear-very satisfied and I want all my piercings/jewelry to be from here! Also he does customs and that’s exactly what I’m looking for in the future for a few pieces. He was super polite and kind and accommodating as well.

John is seriously the BEST piercer I have ever experienced. He is so personable. He takes the time to explain every step he does before he does it, & I greatly appreciate that. He also explains his sterilization process & shows you the machine the tools go in to be sterilized (it’s super legit). My husband got his ears pierced & I got my septum pierced. My septum ended up being a bit deviated, which caused it to be a tiny crooked, & he could tell I wasn’t sure when I was looking in the mirror & immediately was like “let’s do it again. You need to be 100% happy.” & I absolutely left 100% happy. He is super patient & wants you to love what you get. He also makes all his jewelry which is seriously the coolest thing ever. We loved our time with him & will absolutely be back. It literally felt like we were just hanging out with a friend. Definitely worth our trip there.

100% RECOMMEND JON!!!My girls (ages 5 and 6) wanted to have their ears pierced (this would be re-piercing because the first ones got infected). The first time we had their ears pierced they were pierced with piercing guns and unfortunately the piercing had to be removed even with following the directions for cleaning (with the special cleaning spray) twice a day and turning the earrings,etc. I did my research this time and if you havent I would encourage you to look at the difference between ear piercing gun and needle piercing the difference is astounding. Yes, needle piercing is more expensive and you do have to be able to sit through two piercings but the benefits far outweigh that.Jon was kind and incredibly knowledgeable even when being ask a thousand questions from my girls. He explained everything he was doing and his cleaning and sterilization procedures are top notch. He was marking the first girls ears at 11:20 and we were done with both girls by 11:41.Thank you so much Jon!

I’ve been to a lot of places for tattoos and piercings. I have 14 piercings total. I was in a horrible situation and had to take my jewelry out a couple of years ago. When I tried to put my jewelry back in I was heartbroken I couldn’t. Went in today and picked out some pieces he had crafted along with some other jewelry and added a septum piercing. I tell you what, this was by far the best experience I have ever had. The ambiance of the entire shop is spot on and I’ve never felt more comfortable. Sometimes you walk in and it can be very intimidating or overwhelming. Not this place. So professional. I’ve never gone to the same piercer twice. Definitely going back to him for more of my piercings. Keep doing what you’re doing! Thank you for giving my confidence back. You have no idea how much this experience was needed.

Im new to town and stopped in to have my septum pierced. I had it done a few years ago and let the piercer (cant remember his name) know. He was very knowledgeable and super nice. Turns out my piercing was still open and all he had to do was push a taper thru and boom. It was all done. The shop was extremely clean and the staff was very nice and professional. I plan on going back for more piercings and tattoos. Great experience! Would highly recommend!

By far the BEST piercing experience i have every had. My friend and i stopped by and i got my daith pierced first and i picked out his handmade white gold jewelry, which is gorgeous! I needed new naval jewelry and he suggested two rings, which i fell in love with. My friend and i were so impressed we went back and i got my lip pierced. He is very knowledgeable and extremely clean, sanitizes everything very well and walks you through step by step with what’s being done. I will definitely be back!!

Fern piercing has always been a safe haven for me getting jewelry and getting piercings. The owner is extremely conscientious about cleanliness and hyper vigilant to prevent cross contamination, going above and beyond compared to other shops I have been to. He has done multiple piercings in both of my ears and during each procedure his ability to remain calm has helped me tremendously. Plus, most (if not all) of his gold jewelry is handmade - I am very proud to wear four locally handmade earrings in my piercings!! Highly recommend.
